Also the transgender subtext in the clockmakers daughter is insane. Her fear of people finding out who she is on the inside even if she feels human. Her father hiding her and her secret because he thinks people will hurt her. Wanting to keep her locked away for her own safety and selfishness. People fearing her and hunting her down upon finding out- completely forgetting their love for her and her never ending love for them.
WILL. BEING LEGALLY FEMALE. AND HAVING A ONE OFF LINE WHERE PEOPLE STILL MOCK HIM FOR IT WHAT THE FUCK

You know what isn't a crime, but definitely should be one? The casual mischaracterization of Sentry in fan content. I'm so done😭
1. I hate how he's often depicted as cruel, he's not, look at him, fucking look? And when Ava asks about the hair dye, what does he do? He looks to Val for an answer, he's constantly fidgeting, trying to find an out for the bunch of misfits who previously helped him in the vault.
2. I hate how people try to turn it into a Marc Spector, Steven Grant and Jake Lockley situation when it's. Like. Not?? This is such a disservice to both Moon Knight and The Sentry, and real people who relate to the two characters' (very distinct very different) mental health issues. Bob doesn't have DID, if anything, the movie leans towards him being bipolar. Sentry is Bob, the guy literally tells Yelena in the vault that he has high highs and low lows, the high is Sentry, the low is the Void, that's it. Bob is both Sentry and The Void. What's so hard to understand? It's the mania (Sentry), followed by depression (Void) then he forgets. That's how Bob describes it in the first act of the film, that's how it happens in the third act.
3. This is not a contradiction to point 1, but Sentry is unhinged. He is awkward and somehow soft spoken? But he is unhinged, and invincible, and fucking terrifying. I'm tired of the stoic depictions in fics like🙂↔️ idc if you wanna write fics for comic Sentry, just don't tag them as mcu stuff. (WHO AM I KIDDING COMIC SENTRY IS FUCKING SCARYYY STOP THE BABYFICATION)
4. He is not evil (the fact that we have to spell this out... media literacy is truly dead huh), no shit the Thunderbolts* will be scared of him, of course they will be– he kicked the ever-living shit out of them. But he's not malicious, he doesn't use unnecessary force. Call it condescending, but he's going easy on them, toying with them, and deals arguably softer blows to Yelena, John and Ava, the trio he already met at the vault (because he's the same person, yk? jesus)
5. Prespective is a thing, the team wasn't there to see Sentry tell Val he doesn't want to kill them (they're no threat to him), it's the root cause of their disagreement, it leads to the New York Blackout TM, but we, the audience, were. So tell me why the fuck do I see stuff with this guy terrorizing that team for no reason? 😭 bfr guys.
6. So what? So while I can buy you showing me Ava or John or Alexei or Bucky or Yelena being fearful of the Sentry, or Val (hahaha eat shit Val), I simply can't get behind him actually being a threat to them, on purpose and beyond swatting them like flies, because hi hello have you seen the movie? Yeah.
7. Have I mentioned Sentry is unhinged? Yeah. Yeah. We got glimpses of it with Val before Mel pressed the kill switch but!! Sentry!! Is!! Unhinged!!
8. Find a middle ground, he doesn't have to be uwu or straight up satan or stoic as a rock, he is Bob in mania, so that's inherently Bob with high levels of energy and a higher self esteem (more like a GODLY EGO) and impulsivness and dillusions of grandeur (except they're not dellusions anymore? So rip), so do with that what you will.
Fingers crossed for more in-character Sentry content, at least the Sentry depicted by Lewis Pullman, who put his all into this performance but whose character is still somehow misunderstood? Anyways.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

Ot13 and what scares them about love
Request: Hey can u do a headcanon ot13: what scares them about being in love.. or love in general? (Like not being enough, losing control, potential heartbreak… smth like that) thanks a lot:)))
A/N: I added the little bullet notes under each member’s part just in case any of you have similar fears—so that you can be reassured that there’s nothing to be afraid of. Personally, I struggle with the fear of being hard to love. It’s something deeply ingrained in me, though I won’t elaborate further. I just wanted you all to feel a little better. At the end of the day, these notes aren’t really for the members (as if they'll see this lol)—they’re for you. This headcanon (sorta) felt surprisingly personal, and writing it made me reflect on so many things about life and love in general. To the anon who requested this, thank you. Your idea was truly unique, and it gave me a space to pause, think, and see things from a different perspective of svt and others.
This is my personal opinion and perspective. It may not accurately reflect their real-life personalities or behaviors.
Seungcheol – The Fear of Failing as a Partner
How I see him is that, he carries a deep sense of responsibility, and that extends to love too. His biggest fear is not being able to protect or take care of his partner the way he wants to. He worries about not being emotionally available or strong enough when they need him most. The idea of letting someone down, especially someone he loves, weighs heavily on him.
Seungcheol, you’re doing your absolute best, and that’s more than enough. Your love is a safe space, and no one could ever doubt the strength you bring to those around you.
Jeonghan – The Fear of Losing Himself
Love is beautiful, but it’s also consuming. Jeonghan fears that being in love might make him lose parts of himself—his independence, his ability to make rational choices, or even his sense of control. He’s afraid of how much power someone else could have over his emotions, especially since he’s always the one in control of his own heart.
Love doesn’t mean losing yourself. The right person will embrace all of you, allowing you to be both independent and deeply connected. You don’t have to choose between the two.
Joshua – The Fear of Unreciprocated Effort
I feel like he’s the type to love deeply, wholeheartedly, and unconditionally. But what scares him is the possibility of loving someone more than they love him. He fears investing everything into a relationship, only to find out that his feelings are not returned in the same way. He doesn’t want to be left wondering if he was ever truly enough.
Shua, you are more than enough. Any love you give will be returned in full measure. You’re so kind and caring, and someone who sees you for who you are will love you deeply in return.
Jun – The Fear of Being Misunderstood
Jun is a deep thinker, and his emotions often run slowly beneath the surface. He worries that no matter how much he loves someone, they might never truly understand him. He’s scared of feeling alone in a relationship, of opening up completely and still not being seen for who he truly is.
The right person will understand you in ways you never imagined. Your depth is so precious, and there are people who will cherish every part of who you are.
Hoshi – The Fear of Love Fading
Love, to him, should always be full of passion and excitement. But he fears that over time, feelings might dull, routines might set in, and the relationship could become something ordinary. He wants love to always feel exhilarating, and the thought of it losing its spark terrifies him.
The most beautiful love grows even stronger with time, and the quiet moments are just as powerful as the loud ones.
Wonwoo – The Fear of Not Being Enough
Wonwoo is reserved, and deeply introspective. He worries that he won’t be able to express love in the way his partner needs. He’s afraid that his way of loving through actions rather than words, might not be enough. The idea of someone wanting more than he can give haunts him.
Wonwoo, your love is already enough. The way you care, through your actions and your presence, speaks volumes. Anyone who truly understands you will appreciate the depth of your heart.
Woozi – The Fear of Losing His Dreams for Love
As we all know, he’s very dedicated to his craft and his passion for music runs deep. While he’s capable of deep love, he fears that being in love might take away the time and energy he’s poured into his dreams. He doesn’t want to choose between love and ambition, but he’s afraid that, in the end, one might have to come before the other.
The right person will support and inspire you to keep chasing your passions while loving you in the most meaningful way.
Dokyeom – The Fear of Hurting or Disappointing Someone
Seokmin has such a big heart, and his worst fear is accidentally hurting someone he loves. He always wants to be a source of happiness, but relationships aren’t always perfect, and the thought of being the reason for someone’s pain is unbearable to him.
Kyeom, your heart is pure, and your love only brings joy to those around you. Anyone who is with you will feel lucky to have such a loving and kind soul in their life.
Mingyu – The Fear of Being Too Much
He loves intensely, and sometimes, that can feel overwhelming. Mingyu worries that his enthusiasm, his affection, and his deep emotions might be too much for someone to handle. He’s scared of loving someone with all his heart, only to be told that it’s suffocating.
Gyu :(( your love is perfect just the way it is. No one will ever think you’re too much. You are a warm, bright presence, and the right person will embrace all of that with open arms.
Minghao – The Fear of Losing Freedom
Love is beautiful (2), but Minghao values his independence. He worries about feeling trapped or restricted in a relationship, about losing the ability to chase his own passions freely. He wants to love without feeling like he has to compromise parts of himself.
The right person will love and respect your freedom while still sharing in your journey together.
Seungkwan – The Fear of Heartbreak
He loves hard, and he knows that means he has the most to lose. The thought of giving his whole heart to someone only to have it broken is terrifying. He’s scared of the kind of pain that lingers, the kind that changes a person forever.
Kwannie, your heart is strong enough to handle anything. Love will come with its ups and downs, but your ability to heal and grow will make you even stronger, and you will find a love that never breaks you.
Vernon – The Fear of Not Being Able to Express Himself
Vernon thinks deeply but doesn’t always voice everything he feels. He fears that his inability to always put his emotions into words might make his partner feel unappreciated or uncertain about his love. He doesn’t want to lose someone just because he couldn’t say the right things at the right time.
Anyone who truly cares for you will understand the depth of your feelings, even in silence. You don’t need to explain everything—you show it.
Dino – The Fear of Not Being Taken Seriously
As the youngest in svt, he’s used to being seen as playful and energetic and his partner will also know this persona just like we do. But in love, he wants to be seen as a dependable partner. He fears that no matter how much he matures, there will always be a part of him that people don’t take seriously. He doesn’t want to be seen as a ‘kid’ in love—he wants to be seen as someone who can love deeply and be a strong, steady presence in his partner’s life.
Dino, your maturity is not measured by age but by the love you give. Anyone who loves you will see the depth of your heart and appreciate the amazing, steady partner you are.

Alive again - Part 8
Jason finished serving up tow bowls of dinner, setting them out to cool as he gets the dishes done. The Safehouse he’d chosen to bring them too was decently sized, but not so much that dishes piling up wouldn’t start to bother quickly.
He steals a glance at the boy slumped on his couch - the boy who had asked to be called Danny, the boy who was a king of the infinite realms with powers like a god, the boy who could sooth his rage - and frowns. After Constantine and Danny had sorted out all the magic bullshit, Jason had watched as the King transformed, shedding his power like a coat, and becoming much more human. His hair had settled as if just remembering what gravity was, and a deep black color had bled through the white until there was nothing of the shimmering snowy color left. The glow that had clung to him dimmed, and the shining green eyes had faded to a piercing blue. He’d almost looked like he could have been part of the family.
It was kind of like looking at a totally different person, and for a moment Jason had panicked that the King might have lost his strange ability to soothe Jason's rage with the transformation. Thankfully that fear was quickly abated as the pits seemed to be muffled more and more as he spent time in Danny’s presence.
Most of the heroes gathered had seemed relieved, not only at the kings transformation into something with a less intense presence, but at a decent deal being struck, and at Red Hood being the sacrifice so to speak.
B hadn’t looked relieved of course, and the pits whispered to Jason all sorts of things about how the Bat would be jealous of Hoods new position of power, how he would be angry Hood had stolen His opportunity, how he would be glad to be rid of Jason if this all went south, how the old man wished it was him dying again instead of his other… instead of his real sons.
Maybe B didn’t look relieved because he… because Jason was… because…
His mind wouldn’t form the thought, muffled by the pits before it could be realised, his longing for his father drowned out by rage and indignation and pride.
Whatever.
Jason brought the bowls over to the small table and set out some cutlery. Danny was still sprawled on the couch where he had been since they arrived. Jason had taken off his mask sometime after they got here, figuring he was freaking soul bound to the guy, there probably wasn’t much point in trying to stay masked around him. So, it was his unmodulated voice that spoke up as he said “Hey, I don’t know if you like, eat food or whatever, but there’s a bowl for you if you’re hungry”.
Danny let out a long groaning MMmmmmmmmmmm in response and for a little while Jason thought that was all he was gonna get, but when he sat down to tuck into his own meal he watched Danny half tumble half slide off of the couch and onto the floor. He groaned again longer this time before pushing himself up enough to sit, resting his back against the couch, his head tilted up on the cushions staring at the ceiling “ugghhhhhhhh, physical bodies Fucking Suuuuuuck”.
Jason had to agree with that, bodies surely did fucking suck, but he assumed having a real physical body probably did mean it needed to be fed. “C’mon, you’ll probably feel better once you get some food in you, what’s the last thing you ate?”
Danny stared at the ceiling for a long moment, and Jason felt a complicated wash of emotions from the other boy, a sensation that both thrilled and terrified him. Damn he’d need to figure out what’s up with that soon and learn to control it otherwise that’s going to catch him at the wrong time at some point.
“a Nasty Burger about 50 years ago I think” It had been with Tucker, their last meal shared before he’d taken a turn for the worst.
“… a fucking What??” Jason wasn’t sure if he’d misunderstood, but the mental image a Nasty Burger conjured was decidedly unpleasant “get your arse over here, this will be Much better than whatever the fuck a Damn Nasty Burger is”. He’d had limited supplies in this safe house, but he was still confident it would be good enough.
As Danny stood though Jason watched concerned as the boy swayed on his feet and had to steady himself on the wall. Jason was by his side in a second “Hey, whoa, what’s wrong?” It came out harsh and accusing and Jason winced knowing how it would come across.
Danny just shook his head and took a few deep breaths “just not used to being human is all. Forgot I had to use my lungs in this form…. Food sounds good”. He gave a brief reassuring smile, the kind Jason had seen on Tim sometimes when he was trying to dismiss how many days he’d been awake. It was cute, it was worrying.
Jason had planned to interrogate Danny for every scrap of information he could, but… maybe that could all wait till the guy was able to stand on his own again. They settled down at the table, and Jason was relieved to see Danny actually had an appetite.

who is this person? ---<3
first pac reading in a long while. a lot of things have happened in my life recently, but it should stop being hectic soon. i hope all of you have been well, make sure you rest and drink water on this soft sunday.
choose intuitively. if none of these speak to you, do not force a connection with any pile. your message will come to you regardless, in another shape or form. you can ask this for any person; it doesn't speak about their feelings for you. you can even ask this about yourself. this may not resonate. this is a vulnerable reading.
pile 1.
right of the bat, this person is one that can't really go with the flow. they're overly controlling--not of people necessarily, but of the process of life. distrusting, and they try to make sure that nothing can go wrong due to anxiety, fear of being embarrassed, etc. this is a strong energy and most likely stemmed from their childhood or a singular event in which they lost complete control of things. they're used to being alone and don't really make place for a lot of relationships in their lives. they're also kind of scared of growing close to people, and they've been misunderstood very often, especially as a kid. cast into the spotlight only to be made fun of. i think they present themselves as cool, nonchalant, but deep inside? they're still the kid who ate lunch alone.
despite everything, they still ache for the ability to just...let loose, stop caring. they may have had to grow up fast, and all they want is to be vulnerable. but they're also terrified, so this person can be a bit rude and cold for some of you. they have a sharp tongue, and they know how to use it to twist words so they can hurt. not manipulative, per se, but when they feel attacked their words are their weapons. but all they want is to just fall back and be caught in someone's arms. a very tender energy. they never really got to relax, and they seek this comfort from older figures in their life; they live life outside of themselves, trying to decenter themselves from their own life. they're very observant and don't talk too much, i think. they have a bleeding heart, though, and would do anything for the small circle of people that they have. they may have feline features, sleek and sinewy with angular faces or piercing eyes.
song: white ferrari by frank ocean.
pile 2.
this person has duality. they can be a bit mercurial at times, but i'm not getting that these sides are bad. they have strong attachments to the things that they hold dear to their heart; they invest themselves very deeply in hobbies, in people, in passion projects they start at the oddest times. very artistically oriented--they view themselves as their creations or accomplishments, completely detaching oneself from other aspects in order to see themselves as what they're proud of. they're a very bright person; i think they're the center of attention very easily, they have a very commanding presence and can be addictive because they give attention to people in a very genuine manner. they also don't stand for bullying and things like that--they have strong opinions and won't change them for anyone. they're really sensitive about what their interests are, and are prone to lashing out at anyone who insults them. a negative aspect of them is that they have to relearn lessons, like a LOT. they are stuck in the past very often and they feel like the parts of them that have died are the most beautiful ones (spoiler alert?!?! WRONG!!!).
they have a lot of dark energy; might present themselves in a darker manner, be interested in the occult or alternative scene, for example. i think for most of you this person is the youngest/middle sibling. once again, the sun comes out; before the star did. so i would definitely say that this person shines very brightly. they're the type of person you see in a gas station and can't stop thinking about. they're endearing in a very down-to-earth way; very human, and i think that their authenticity kind of makes them meet people who either leech off of them or protect them. they have a good heart and genuinely want the best for the world, but the problem is that they can be misguided and completely defend the wrong cause because they have a deep belief that it is the right one. they're very obsessive with parts of their life, and their lesson is to be able to search for peace instead of killing themselves with overfilling things with their energy.
song: all i need by radiohead.
pile 3.
this person has seen their fair share of lessons, and they've recently obtained the ability to go through them smoothly (cough cough unlike pile 2...). they're a very youthful energy; they have this young pride, but at the same time they've seen so many things and don't carry this blindly. they're also humble, but at the same time--when they do something right, they know to carry it on their sleeve. they're good at orchestrating things to happen; good at manifesting, and they're kind of the leader of their own life. they can be a bit...intimidating? they don't water themselves down easily and this can be a bit offputting for people who aren't used to realness. they have a deep loyalty for their family, their friends, even though some of those people have done them dirty. but they carry a certain tenderness to them that makes them a sweetheart; kind of a dumbass, but a sweetheart.
i got the moon, so they may be a bit on the quieter side of this reading. they're very in tune with their emotions and feelings, but they can struggle to FEEL these things instead of analyzing them. but because they're kind of comforting, they get a lot of people sticking closely to them. you can learn from them and teach them things. they have dreams, a lot of them; for the future. they wanna help people deeply but can be misguided. they're a very playful energy. people are a big part of their lives. most of the comfort that they give, and the observance that they have, comes from hard events they've faced. they have a lot of guilt, but i think that at this moment they're in a position that makes them want to amend for everything they've done. overall--they're the warmest pile out of these.
song: not a lot, just forever by adrianne lenker.

A DC X DP IDEA #25
New Year, New Me?
Imagine dis…
We all know that when Danny died, he changed. From his black hair and blue-eyed kid to a white-haired and green-eyed ghost kid. We also know that ghosts were once humans just misunderstood, had unfinished business, or were just out for the injustice they have faced in the face of death.
But what if Danny is just a baby ghost in every sense and now, he is getting more powerful and more tuned in with his ghostly side that he began to change?
…
Danny knew that there was something wrong with him, not just the fact that he had died and came back alive and well that’s a whole other story. The fact that there is something wrong with his ghostly side, that to the point it began affecting his human side. His jaw began to ache and when he looked into the mirror he saw some of his teeth beginning to sharpen like a canine would, his hair looked like it wasn’t held by gravity as his parents had chalked it up with him using a different type of conditioner to make it more fluffy, his skin began having these weird spams in the middle of the day as well his uncanny need to stay in a cold room Mr. Lancer swore 10 book titles under his breath when he saw him taking a nap inside the cafeteria fridge.
But the worst of it came when he fought Skulker, it was another normal Thursday for the Halfa but as he was fighting off Skulker who was already spewing out his usual rant about mounting his pelt he saw another figure. Behind Skulker is another figure that looked like him more shadowy yet bloodied, covered in rusty metal that he swore he heard it creaking as if two metals were grinding to each other, with each move that Skulker made. Seeing he was distracted Skulker made a lucky hit to him as if he was back in his first year as a ghost. Danny shook his head and immediately souped the ghost and tried to forget the more horrific and unsettling version of Shulker.
Danny tried to hide it but when his friends and sister began noticing his changes, they made him visit the Far Frozen.
Frostbite was confused and worried at his changes and explained to Danny in great detail that what he was going through was a ghostly equivalent to puberty.
Since he had recently died his ghostly side had registered him being a baby despite being in his teens in his human. Normally ghost children would not transition after 5 centuries as they have not only been deemed absorbed enough ectoplasm but also have been mature enough a good example would be Box Lunch who was barely 146 years old while Youngblood was nearing his transition.
Frostbite offered a conclusion that it may be a fact that he slept on top of the active portal which leaks massive ectoplasm radiation and when he fought off ghosts who are centuries older and more experienced than him made his ghostly side mature faster, like how children were forced to mature faster when incompetent parents are around. Now that he has not only become more attuned or in one with his ghostly side, but his ghostly side is also slowly forming his eldritch abomination kinda like human symptoms of puberty like broadening of shoulder, pitch voice…etc, Frostbite explained.
Danny asked about his sight when Skulker visited him as well he felt that time. Danny was still distraught when he went home but when he had the time to process what he saw, instead of feeling scared or deep panic at what he saw instead felt a deep relief at the image.
Frostbite told Danny since he is transitioning to becoming a young adult, what he is seeing is the true form of ghosts.
The citizens of the Infinite Realms are naturally terrifying, gruesome, ghastly, ghoulish…etc for years there had been no problem with their appearance but when the first Ancients went to visit a mortal plane for an official Realm duty, they were horrified to see that not only humans scream with pure unaltered fear but also went brain dead the moment they laid their eyes on the said Ancients as their minds cannot comprehend the sheer true form of the said Ancients. As the said Ancients felt guilty for what they had caused the humans went in a vegetable state and began practicing into shifting into a more humane form, something more modest as to when they visit another mortal world in case of another duty. As the practice was only practiced in a small island that the Ancients ruled it soon spread out to the entire Realms. It spread so far that even other Ancients began copying it and it didn’t take too long for it to become a norm.
So when the Fenton portal as well as Vlad’s portal opened it became instinctive for the ghosts to pass through to where their more “humane” side and only show their real appearance in their haunt or when they have a mate or to their respective fight mates.
Frostbite gave him something for the pain and offered to help Danny with his transition, which Danny gratefully thanked the yeti and flew off.
Since then he slowly yet surely became accustomed to the changes to himself as he felt more him. His friends and sister tried to hide it from the Fenton couple despite being oblivious that they would surely notice the changes. Fake teeth and make-up did their thing as Sam may not enjoy the pinkish/feminine side of her make-up collection courtesy of her parents but sure damn well those foundations are of good quality.
His ghostly companions that came for their weekly brawl began noticing the large shadow behind their local halfa, some were horrified as they thought they were fighting a baby all this time and were just in their transition but others had congratulated Danny for basically growing up. Maturing? Transitioning? They don’t know the right word but hell yeah they are proud.
Add to the fact that he just became the Ghost King, which means that his ghostly side will be more horrific, gory, and ghastly than a usual ghost as their real form reflects their strength.
…
Danny didn’t know but for some reason, Amnity’s CPS launched an investigation into the Fenton couple. Had found out that having a house? Structure? Home? Full of weapons is not a viable home for a teenage boy like himself and was promptly removed from their custody and the premises. Of course, the Fenton couple tried to fight off the verdict, heck even Vlad tried to help the two for the sake of Maddie and even tried to have Danny placed with him.
In the end, Danny is relocated to a far place away from his parents as well as his godfather one of the CPS workers pointed out that Danny has bruises every time, he visits Vlad which puts him under the scrutiny of a different kind of investigation as well.
Jazz was considered out of the hostile environment as she had just moved from their home to her dorm and had just been given a protection order that said that her parents including Vlad were to stay away from her as well as have no contact with the said individuals as it may affect the proceedings.
Danny bounced from one foster to another up until he ended up with the foster parent who had the greatest record, Bruce Wayne himself.
At first, Danny tries every trick he can think of in the book to be removed as well as isolating himself within his room in the manor to be transferred as the moment he went ghost to look at his surroundings and saw the secret basement as well the Wayne family being the glorified furry brigade he wants out! He is not sharing a roof with a fruit loop thank you very much, but as the days went by he began getting used to the Waynes and thought that he may have grown to the Waynes.
Though how come Duke smiled too tight whenever he saw him?
…
Duke knew there was something wrong with the new kid. Don’t get him wrong black hair, and blue eyes alongside a so, so situation with his parents made him the prime adoption bait for the family. They were just waiting for him to discover the cave on his own to be officially introduced to the family. But there is something so wrong with Danny.
Sure, his diet tends to have his meat lean more on the medium rare side or even to the bloody side, and chalked it up to growing up not learning how to properly cook and brushing it off.
Sure he is too quiet to the point he is scaring and surprising highly trained vigilantes which has multiple people being trained by the best in the world.
Sure he tends to go to places which is cold, too cold for his liking, Alfred nearly had a heart attack seeing Danny sleeping in the large freezer which contained the meat and other perishable items that needed to be frozen to preserve.
But the biggest thing that made Duke uneasy was the shadow looming over Danny. It was huge to the point it reached the manor ceilings. Its very green toxic eyes seemed to lock on him every time he entered the room. Duke accidentally made eye contact when he is hanging out with Dick, Tim, and Danny. It practically swallowed him whole with the way it looked at him, it made all of his hair straighten up. Dick who noticed him froze up and asked him what was wrong, he excised himself and ran to the farthest corner of the manor and proceeded to throw up his lunch due to the unspeakable things that things showed to him.
(In reality, Danny’s ghostly side is trying to show Duke what would he do to his enemies as well as to whomever harmed them)
Duke is now contemplating what to tell the rest of the Batclan how Danny is cursed. Haunted? and have them call Zatanna or Constantine to get rid of whatever it is.
…
PS: If someone out there wanted to continue or make a fic about this you are free to do so, don’t forget to tag me though.
PPS: As you can see I cannot write horror to save my life so please pardon me, I tried my best…:-P

"Wild Blue Yonder" is such a phenomenal episode and it instantly became one of the best DW episodes for a simple reason that it combines all the best aspects of Doctor Who AND it is a combination of genres AND it is entirely character driven and atmospheric.
This episode is everything - comedy, drama, horror, mystery, psychological thriller and sci-fi adventure.
It relies entirely on atmospherics and character dynamic.
They really put two brilliant actors and let them shine and give everything they got in so many different genres.
There were silly comedic moments
Heart-wrenching dramatic moments
Terrifying and bone-chilling moments
But the true testament to the acting talent of David Tennant and Catherine Tate was that the episode had only 2 actors in it and 4 characters. But it truly felt like there were 4 different people in the episode. And the task was not easy. These were Doctor and Donna but not quite Doctor and Donna. Like Donna said "The Devil's in the details". It was all in the voice, the stare, the posture, the mannerisms that made these creatures of nightmares so terrifying, because they had the essence of the Doctor and Donna but had it so horribly distorted and twisted and not right at the same time!
And the fact that David and Catherine delivered such a nuanced performance that captured these details so flawlessly deserves all the awards!
The episode is driven by themes and motifs - fear of being known, fear of the unknown and unexplained, fear of being misunderstood, abandoned, not good enough, fear of someone you love not understanding or truly knowing you. The plot also provides individual character development and exploration of relationship between the Doctor and Donna who have not seen each other in years, who are so close and yet were separated by time and space for ages and have changed so much during that time, that neither of them is the same but desperately want to be seen the same way as they used to be by each other. It is also nostalgia and desire for things to be exactly like they used to be.
What can be scarier than monsters who have no physical form or visual manifestation, who steal your personality and bear your face but distort them in the most horrific ways both literally and figuratively? What is scarier than something that has a conscience but can not be seen or touched or categorized? What is scarier than something that can exploit your fears and insecurities and turn them against you?
"Wild Blue Yonder" creates an atmosphere that immerses you in that world which is both a confined space but also the endless dark nothingness, makes you scared, sad, makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you think how the fictitious horrors of this episode are driven almost entirely by the very human fears of the unknown and being known at the same time. "Wild Blue Yonder" is a masterpiece of acting and storytelling and that's what makes this episode stand out as such a brilliant story! Doctor Who can be silly AND deep at the same time, and when it happens, it is absolutely fantastic!

Why Aleksander Morozova Stands Out Among Pop Culture’s “Chosen Ones”

I’ve seen countless iterations of the “Chosen One” narrative in literature and film. From Anakin Skywalker to Frodo Baggins, Paul Atreides to Neo — each of these renowned figures was destined to shape the world, to either save it or bring about its downfall. And yet, for all their impact, none of them stayed with me the way Aleksander did. Not even close.
At first glance, Aleksander fits the mold. A powerful Grisha with a rare gift, born to change the fate of his people. But what sets him apart is not just the weight of prophecy or power. It’s the brutal honesty of his journey, the burden of centuries lived, and the isolation that comes not just from being feared, but from being deeply misunderstood. Most “Chosen Ones” are young. They stumble into greatness, often unwillingly. They are guided, they have mentors, they are surrounded by friends who soften the blow. Aleksander never had that. His power didn’t arrive with youthful angst or a dramatic call to adventure, no, it was forged in blood and grief. While others were discovering their destinies, he was already paying the price for his. When your mission is survival instead of glory, the world begins to look very different.
Frodo, for example, had Sam. He had Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, and a world that ultimately honored his struggle. Aleksander had none of that. No Shire to return to, no statues raised in his name. Only centuries of war, betrayal, and the growing silence of the very people he bled for and a mother who despised him. His version of the “Chosen One” story is not about a reluctant hero who endured, but about a man who became a weapon because the world left him no other choice.
What’s even more compelling is that Aleksander wasn’t shown as someone we’re supposed to love for his nobility or light. He wasn’t shown to soothe us. He isn’t endlessly righteous, nor does he do good to earn affection. He is deeply strategic, politically sharp, and willing to make decisions others would never dare and that doesn’t make him evil. No, it makes him a man who learned that ideals are a luxury and survival a duty.
I’ve always struggled to relate to flawless heroes who are always on the “right” side. You’re told they make mistakes, but those mistakes are rarely heavy enough to truly make the audience sit with the consequences. Aleksander, on the other hand, is real and that makes him full of contradictions. Capable of terrible things, but also capable of a love so fierce it terrifies him. And while most “Chosen Ones” are rewarded for their suffering with peace, redemption, Aleksander is punished for his. He is never given the luxury of being saved. That’s what makes him unforgettable.
He doesn’t change the world because he craves power. He changes it because no one else ever protected people like him. Because he saw children like him hunted and burned. Because he was born into war and raised in the shadows. No amount of charm or magical ability could lighten that weight. And yet, he carries it. When people compare him to villains, I can’t help but feel they’ve missed the point. He’s not a tyrant who desires control for its own sake. He’s someone who tried to give his people a future when everyone else gave them death. That’s not villainy. That’s desperation, loyalty, and love — his love.
And maybe that’s why Aleksander feels more honest to me than any other “Chosen One.” Because he shows what it really looks like when no one saves the hero. When the weight of power brings exile instead of praise. When the world doesn’t cheer your victories, but spits on your sacrifices.
To me, he is a legend that never rests and keeps fighting.
And that’s why I will always see him as the most extraordinary of them all.

The reaction of the other U.A. Students and other characters to their soulmate is a villainess:
Mirio Togata:
Mirio is optimistic, empathetic, and believes in saving everyone, so his first reaction would be shock but not outright rejection. He’d feel a pang of sadness that his soulmate is on a dark path but would immediately see it as a challenge to bring her to the light.
“If she’s my soulmate, there’s gotta be good in her!”
Mirio’s unwavering belief in heroism might clash with the reality of his soulmate’s actions. If she’s hurt people, he’d grapple with guilt over feeling drawn to her. He’d question whether his feelings are just the soulmate bond or genuine, but his resolve to save others would keep him from giving up on her. Mirio would approach her directly, unafraid of the danger, using his charm and sincerity to understand her motives. He’d try to talk her down during confront actions.
“I know you’re not just a villain—let me help you!”
If she’s resistant, he’d stay patient, believing he can change her heart over time. His interactions would be warm but firm, balancing his duty as a hero with his soulmate connection.
Mirio would dedicate himself to redeeming her, even if it takes years. He’d study her past, work with his friends, and use his hero network to find ways to reach her. If she’s too far gone, he’d face heartbreak but still try to save her, even if it means stopping her as a hero.
Tamaki Amajiki:
Tamaki would be overwhelmed with anxiety and self-doubt upon learning his soulmate is a villainess.
“Why would fate pick someone like her for someone like me? I’m not strong enough for this.”
His shy, introspective nature would make him internalize the conflict, feeling like he’s somehow at fault for being tied to a villain.
Tamaki’s low self-esteem would amplify his turmoil. He’d fear that his connection to a villainess makes him unfit to be a hero, and he’d worry about what others (especially Mirio and Fat Gum) would think. However, his quiet empathy would make him curious about her—why did she become a villain? Could he understand her pain? The soulmate bond would terrify him, but he’d also feel a pull to protect her, even from herself.
Tamaki would avoid direct confrontation at first, observing her from a distance or during hero missions. If forced to face her, he’d be nervous, stuttering through attempts to reason with her. His sincerity might catch her off guard.
“I-I don’t know why you’re doing this, but… I don’t think you’re all bad.”
He’d use his quirk defensively, never wanting to hurt her, and might even hesitate in battle, which could frustrate his allies.
Tamaki would need encouragement from Mirio and others to face the situation head-on. Over time, he’d grow bolder, trying to connect with her emotionally, perhaps relating to her struggles through his own insecurities. If redemption isn’t possible, he’d carry the guilt of failing her, but he’d channel it into becoming a stronger hero to prevent others from falling like she did.
Hitoshi Shinso:
Shinso would react with a mix of cynicism and intrigue. Having faced prejudice for his “villainous” quirk, he’d be less shocked than others.
“Of course my soulmate’s a villain—figures.”
He’d feel a bitter irony but also a spark of curiosity about who she is and why she’s chosen this path.
Shinso’s pragmatic and guarded nature would make him wary of the soulmate bond. He’d question its legitimacy, wondering if it’s manipulating his feelings. His own experiences with being misunderstood would make him empathize with her, but he’d also be conflicted about his hero aspirations.
“I’m trying to prove I’m not a villain, so why am I tied to one?”
Shinso would approach her strategically, using his wit and quirk to gather information. He’d engage her in conversation during encounters, probing her motives with questions:
“What’s driving you to do this? You don’t seem like you’re just evil.”
If he uses his brainwashing quirk on her, it’d be to de-escalate, not harm. His dry humor and blunt honesty might create an unexpected rapport, as he’d relate to her outsider status.
Shinso would wrestle with whether to save her or stop her, leaning toward redemption because of their shared bond. He’d investigate her backstory, possibly working with Aizawa to find ways to reach her. If she’s irredeemable, he’d reluctantly take her down, but it’d haunt him, reinforcing his resolve to help others avoid her fate. If she shows potential for change, he’d be her quiet supporter, helping her navigate a path to redemption.
Neito Monoma:
Monoma would be dramatically indignant and affronted.
“A villainess? My soulmate? The universe must be mocking me!”
His theatrical personality and Class 1-B pride would make him initially reject the idea, seeing it as an insult to his heroic ambitions. However, his curiosity and competitive nature would quickly kick in, making him want to “prove” he can handle this twist of fate better than anyone else.
Monoma’s arrogance masks insecurity, so he’d grapple with what this says about him. He’d wonder if being tied to a villainess means he’s destined to be “second-rate” or if it’s a test of his greatness. His tendency to compare himself to Class 1-A would amplify his frustration.
“Why do they get heroic soulmates, and I get this?”
Yet, his sharp mind would push him to analyze her motives, suspecting there’s more to her villainy than meets the eye.
Monoma would confront her with a mix of bravado and taunting, using his Copy quirk to mirror her abilities in battle as a way to “show her up.”
“If you’re my soulmate, you should at least be as impressive as me!”
Behind the bravado, he’d study her closely, looking for weaknesses or signs of redeemability. If she shows complexity (e.g., a tragic backstory), he’d soften slightly, though he’d hide it behind snark. He’d avoid admitting his feelings, even to himself, but the soulmate bond would make him protective in subtle ways, like hesitating to land a finishing blow.
Monoma would see redeeming her as a personal challenge, a way to prove he’s a better hero than his rivals. He’d dig into her past, possibly coordinating with Kendo or Tetsutetsu for support, and use his strategic mind to devise plans to sway her. If she’s irredeemable, he’d take it as a personal failure but channel it into outperforming others as a hero. If she shows potential for change, he’d grudgingly help her, boasting about how he “single-handedly saved his soulmate.”
Naomasa Tsukauchi:
Naomasa, the grounded and professional detective, would be stunned but composed, processing the revelation with a quiet, “This… complicates things.” His dedication to justice and his lie-detection quirk would make him immediately skeptical of the soulmate bond, wondering if it’s a trick or manipulation. He’d feel a mix of duty and curiosity, wanting to understand why his soulmate is a villainess.
As a non-hero with a strong moral compass, Naomasa would struggle with the personal vs. professional conflict. His work with All Might and the police demands he uphold the law, but the soulmate bond would stir empathy, especially if he senses truth in her pain or motivations. He’d worry about compromising his integrity.
“Can I stay objective when it’s her?”
His trust in All Might’s ideals would anchor him, but he’d feel torn if she’s not entirely evil.
Naomasa would approach her methodically, using his detective skills to investigate her crimes and backstory. In encounters, he’d remain calm and professional, asking pointed questions to gauge her intentions.
“Why are you doing this? What do you really want?”
His lie-detection quirk would help him discern if she’s genuine, making him more likely to believe in her potential for redemption if she’s honest about her struggles. He’d avoid direct combat, focusing on de-escalation, and might work behind the scenes to protect her from harsher heroes while still upholding the law.
Naomasa would pursue a path of justice tempered with compassion. He’d compile evidence to understand her actions, possibly consulting All Might or Aizawa for advice. If she’s redeemable, he’d advocate for rehabilitation, using his police connections to offer her a chance to atone. If she’s unrepentant, he’d ensure she faces justice, though it’d weigh heavily on him. His commitment to truth would make him a steady, if reserved, ally in her redemption arc.
Sir Nighteye (Mirai Sasaki):
Nighteye would react with cold disbelief, his logical mind rejecting the idea: “A villainess as my soulmate? That’s incompatible with my vision of the future.”
His foresight quirk and rigid belief in a heroic world would make him see this as a flaw in fate, prompting him to question the bond’s validity. However, his loyalty to All Might’s legacy would push him to investigate her thoroughly, suspecting there’s a reason behind this anomaly.
Nighteye’s stoic demeanor hides deep emotions, and this revelation would crack his composure. He’d feel betrayed by fate, especially since he values order and heroism. His foresight might torment him—if he sees a dark future for her, he’d struggle with whether to fight it or accept it. He’d also reflect on his own past, wondering if his strictness reflects a flaw that connects him to a villain. The soulmate bond would force him to confront his rigid worldview.
“Can someone like her change?”
Nighteye would approach her with calculated precision, using his foresight to anticipate her moves and confront her strategically. In person, he’d be stern and commanding.
“You’re my soulmate, but that doesn’t excuse your actions. Explain yourself.”
His quirk would give him an edge in battles, but he’d avoid using it to see her future, fearing it’d lock him into a doomed path. If she shows remorse or complexity, he’d soften slightly, offering her a chance to prove herself, but he’d remain skeptical until she earns his trust.
Nighteye would see her redemption as a way to reshape the future, aligning with his belief in creating a hopeful world. He’d work tirelessly to guide her, possibly mentoring her like he did Mirio, but with stricter oversight. If she’s irredeemable, he’d accept it grimly, using his foresight to ensure she’s stopped without collateral damage. If she changes, he’d view it as proof that even his predictions can be defied, softening his outlook and deepening his bond with her.

I wrote a book and published it.
And... I’m kinda terrified to tell you about it.
Not because it’s bad (it’s not), or because I’m not proud (oh trust me, I’m bursting with pride—like, “crying in the shower and whispering ‘we did it’” levels of proud). But because it’s personal. Raw. Like-heart-on-the-table-next-to-your-coffee-cup personal.
I didn’t write it for accolades. I didn’t write it to go viral. I wrote it for me. And for my inner child—who’s been tugging at my sleeve for years, asking softly, “Can we finally talk about it?”
So we did. Together, we turned silence into poems. Pain into petals. Trauma into tender truth.
And that’s exactly why I’ve been whispering about it instead of screaming it from the mountaintops—even though every cell in my body wants to scream it. Loud. Echo-y. With a fist to the sky.
But then that old ghost inside me asks: “Are you even allowed to take up space?”(And my body whispers “no,” but my spirit is learning to say “hell yes.”)
I know—deep down, beneath the fear and the people-pleasing—that this book might resonate with someone. Maybe with you. Because the truth is: I’m not alone in this. And neither are you.
But still... I’ve been gatekeeping my own book. Why? Because I’m scared. Scared of being seen. Scared of being misunderstood. Scared of what my parents might think (spoiler alert: it talks about childhood emotional trauma). Scared no one will read it. Scared someone will.
I keep thinking I’ve outrun the trauma loop—and then BAM, life throws me another plot twist. But I’m done shrinking. I’m done whispering.
This book is my love letter to myself—and maybe to you too. It’s something I can hold when I feel like I’m falling apart. A reminder that healing isn’t linear. That taking up space is brave. That “looking fine” isn’t the same as being fine. And that just because someone can’t find the words doesn’t mean the pain isn’t real.
I’ve thought about starting a blog, a website, maybe even a YouTube channel. But then I get stuck. Because when I do things for others, I lose myself. And I’ve already deleted one blog this year for that exact reason.
I want to create from a place of joy, not exhaustion. Of authenticity, not obligation. Of me—messy, magical, and still learning.
So.
This is me doing something that absolutely terrifies me: Sharing my book with you.
It feels like standing on a cliff’s edge, butterflies in my stomach throwing a rave, not knowing if I’ll fly or face-plant. But here’s the thing: I’m jumping anyway.
My book is called: “Water Your Garden and Watch Your Mind Bloom” a collection of poems inspired by nature to remind you—you are enough, you are strong, and you are healing.(Yes, the title is a little extra. So am I 😅)
It’s independently published. Environmentally friendly (print-on-demand!). Ships worldwide. Might take a little longer to arrive—but hey, good things are worth waiting for.
You can find it here: Amazon (UK) [link] Amazon (DE) [link] Amazon (US) [link] Barnes & Noble [link]
I’m not here to hustle you. I’m not here to sell a brand. I’m here to open a door.
If you think this book could help you—or someone you love—read it. Share it. Gift it. Let it be a starting point for a conversation we’ve all avoided for far too long.
Let’s stop being silent about childhood trauma, about mental health, about healing. This book is my beginning. Maybe it can be yours, too.
Here are a few pictures of the book and some poems inside. Some are inspired by nature. Some by BTS. All of them are rooted in the hope that we can grow something beautiful from the mess.
And if you do decide to support me—thank you. But more than anything, I hope you do it for you 💕

An old idea started popping back in. What if the elves met their s/o, who is the valar of the underworld? Their s/o technically lives in a completely different realm beneath Arda, where demons and evil spirits reside. There are all kinds of stories about their s/o and how monstrous they are. But when the elves somehow end up falling into a hole that leads to the underworld and meets their s/o. They first appear terrifying, but then their s/o takes a less threatening form and the elves find out their s/o is like the sweetest person in the whole world. Their servants are also like really polite and welcoming, and then turns out that their s/o and their subjects are technically misunderstood and wrongfully feared. Their job is just guarding the evil souls and spirits that enter their realm, keeping them imprisoned. It kinda becomes like a Hades and Persephone situation when they start seeing each other. Their s/o is pretty loving but avoids serving them any food in the underworld because if they ate anything from the underworld then they would become bound to it. Then the valars and the elves' families get involved and order them not to see each other because of their s/o's bad rep. Which of the elves might be stubborn enough to go against those orders and maybe take a bite out of the forbidden fruit so they could be with their s/o in the underworld? And which of the elves would bitterly follow those orders?
A/N: Once again, you strike hard and put the cherry atop the cake with these ideas 🤌. I need to visit your brain for some ideas. Do you take reservations? What days? 😂
Defies all and stays in the Underworld. Loyal, stubborn, and deeply in love, they reject the warnings of others, willingly binding themselves to their s/o by eating the forbidden fruit.
— Fëanor, Celegorm, Amrod, Fingon, Aegnor, Glorfindel, Maeglin, Beleg
Secretly defies orders but doesn't eat the fruit. Too cautious to risk being trapped, they’ll keep seeing their s/o in secret, finding ways to visit without breaking the ultimate rule…
— Maglor, Caranthir, Curufin, Amras, Celebrimbor, Angrod, Gwindor, Elrohir
Torn between love and duty, they desperately want to be with their s/o, but the weight of their responsibilities makes them hesitate…
— Fingolfin, Ecthelion, Rog, Egalmoth, Gil-Galad, Elrond, Elladan, Erestor
Bitterly follow the orders but cannot bring themselves to defy the Valar or their families…
— Turgon, Finarfin, Finrod, Galdor, Thingol

One of the things that fascinates me about Halsin is how, as into sex as he is, he seems singularly focused on his partner's pleasure; he gets on his knees for them in his romance scene, but shows no sign of wanting them to return the favor.
And in fact, he is a lot better at giving advice than taking it. After flirting at the Tiefling party, Halsin tells the player not to worry about coming on too strong and that they were just seizing the moment, and yet, if the player rejects Halsin after he accidentally wildshapes, the next morning he apologizes for coming on too strong.
Whether that's just a hangup of his because he thinks he has to be the Best to make sure his lover won't leave him, or maybe some of it is a result of the Underdark, I'm not sure. But he definitely is harder on himself than others.
And I think that is one thing that would come out in his kinks; as much as he affirms that, for example, dom/sub fantasies are perfectly normal (like in that party banter to ascended Astarion, where his worry is specifically because the player is actually thralled) he seems like he has trouble affirming his own. For example, he shifts into bear form in the Drow brothel, but only does this when they express interest in his bear form; "we must give the people what they want, mustn't we?"
So it would be really interesting, then, for Halsin to have a really taboo kink/desire, and be absolutely terrified to tell his partner about it, terrified they'll think he's sick/a freak and leave him.
TW: Discussion of consensual non-consent, also known as rape fantasy or rapeplay, are under the cut. Read at your own risk.
So imagine Halsin having this fantasy. As a big guy he is used to being the dominant partner; no one has ever suspected he might like to bottom, or to be a submissive. The only time he's done such a thing was with his Drow captors. He knows he would like to give his submission willingly, and he does with his partner a few times, before expressing this particular kink.
One thing that gets horribly misunderstood is what makes one actually want CNC. It isn't that they actually want to get raped; it's the idea of having control forcibly taken so completely, while still being safe. Such people wouldn't enjoy a real assault. It's precisely because it comes from a trusted partner, who isn't actually hurting them, that people enjoy it.
So for Halsin, who always has to be in control, to want to explore his trauma where he was forced to lose control, and to experiment with elements from that in an entirely different scenario, where he can draw comfort from it, is something i could very much see him wanting. He would want to revisit those on his terms. He himself said that while under such endless stress from the Shadow Curse, he began to fantasize about his days with the Drow, viewing it as a safer place mentally. "Perhaps [the Shadow Curse] caused me to gild undeserving memories of my youth..." He is trying to work out his feelings towards when he lost control.
He clearly doesn't want to return to them; if a Lolth Drow threatens to sell him back to his captors, he snaps, "you would be unwise to attempt it, trust me. In any case, the house of my captors is long-extinct." Then he pauses and has a realization; realizing for the first time that they were captors, not hosts, and that captors was a more accurate term. Halsin is still processing parts of his trauma, after all this time, and admits that his current stresses caused him to struggle with this.
So he doesn't want to actually return to them, but in his head he constructed a fantasy version of them that was safer to engage with, where the violations he endured weren't real. And honestly, in his shoes, it's completely understandable how and why that happened.
So that makes the case for why he needs a safe place to explore himself, his fantasies, his fears, all of it.
The issue of course is that Halsin is self-sacrificing and, as noted above, doesn't seem to prioritize his wants as much as his partners'. If he ever did manage to speak about this, it would be, I think, after a great deal of guilt and maybe even self-loathing, thinking there must be something wrong with him for having these fantasies.
So imagine him with a partner who is happy to indulge him, who gets him to finally open up about his desires. Who affirms that he's allowed to have desires, to process his trauma however he needs; after all, any way of working through it is better than doing nothing like Halsin has been doing for centuries. This is him finally being willing to explore it, to see how it interacted with his own sexuality; of course his partner would never refuse him such a thing.
That is the core of the CNC fic I'm going to write; showing how Halsin's unique blend of traumas affect how and why he craves this in particular.

Inside the Mind of Elvis Presley: A Psychological Portrait

EPISODE III: THE ARCHITECTURE OF NEED
Before you read: here’s the DISCLAIMER
“You look like a lonely little boy,” she once said to him. And she wasn’t wrong.
1962. Elvis Presley came home from Germany not just as a soldier, but as a son without a mother. Gladys was gone. And so was the last piece of emotional safety he’d ever really known.
He returned to a mansion, not a home. The world was watching, waiting for him to pick up where he left off. Movies. Records. Headlines. But inside, Elvis was stuck—half grieving, half surviving.
And in the fog of that in-between, he thought of her—the quiet, blue-eyed girl he met in Bad Nauheim. Priscilla Beaulieu. She had been just 14 when they met—young, soft-spoken, and attentive. He was drawn to her, not because of who she was, but because of what she offered: a sense of stillness. Safety. Innocence.
The world around Elvis was demanding, complicated. Priscilla, in contrast, didn’t ask much. She listened. She admired him. She made him feel strong. And in her presence, he felt something rare—not judged.
He didn’t force her into anything. But over time, she shifted herself to fit the outline of what she believed he wanted. The hair, the makeup, the style—it wasn’t about control. It was about approval. She wanted to be the woman he would never leave. And in that silent agreement, a dynamic formed. Elvis didn’t need to ask. Priscilla chose to become who he needed.
Bringing her to Graceland wasn’t just about romance—it was about filling a void. He had lost the one woman who truly understood him, and now he was trying to build something similar out of memory and need.
But Priscilla was not just a passive figure in his life. She may have been young, but she learned how to exist within his orbit. She knew when to be quiet, when to offer comfort, when to back away. She adapted. And with time, she carved out her place—not just as a girlfriend, but as a constant. A pillar.
For Elvis, stability was everything. Fame had spun his world off its axis. He didn’t want to be challenged; he wanted to be held together. And Priscilla became part of that scaffolding.
But what began as emotional refuge slowly turned into routine. And routine turned into distance.
By the time they married in 1967, Elvis was already becoming emotionally unavailable. The version of Priscilla he had idealized was changing—growing. She was no longer a teenage girl shaped by his shadow, but a woman with thoughts, needs, and boundaries of her own. And that unnerved him.
He began to detach. He sought affection elsewhere. Not necessarily out of malice, but out of a need to avoid vulnerability. The closeness that once felt comforting began to feel risky. And Elvis—ever protective of his emotional core—started to shut down.
The tragedy wasn’t that he stopped loving her. The tragedy was that he didn’t know how to love without fear. Fear of being abandoned. Fear of being misunderstood. Fear of being seen too closely.
So instead, he leaned into what he did know: performance. Charm. Distraction.
He smiled in public, laughed with the boys, posed for photos.
And when the lights dimmed, he slipped back into silence.
Their marriage didn’t fail overnight. It faded. Quietly.
Two people who once clung to each other for safety now stood in opposite corners of a house that had once promised peace.
Elvis never stopped needing connection.
He just didn’t know how to hold it once he had it.
Elvis longed for closeness, but closeness terrified him. He could be warm, affectionate, and magnetic—but when things started to feel too close, too vulnerable, he pulled away.
After Gladys died, the part of him that could fully attach to another person dimmed. That loss had cut too deep. She had been everything—his mother, his mirror, his emotional lifeline. Losing her wasn’t just about grief; it was about losing safety itself.
So Elvis began to love in fragments. He kept people at arm’s length—not always physically, but emotionally.
He surrounded himself with a crowd but built emotional escape routes into every relationship. Friendships, romances, even marriage—all held at just enough distance to avoid the pain of another loss like hers.
That distance wasn’t cruelty. It was protection.
Elvis didn’t want to feel that kind of devastation ever again. So he coped the only way he knew how:
Don’t get too close. Don’t let anyone in too deep. That way, when they leave—and they always do—you won’t fall apart.

Just got done with the yellow jackets scene where shauna gave birth. Genuinely so sad. It really shows how much pain she went through in those woods, and how that moment specifically STILL affects her. That was the first, and only baby she ever let herself get close too. Even though yes at first and during most if not all of her pregnancy she didn't want him, in her dream she learned to love him, actually felt him, felt the terrifying fear of losing him when he wouldn't feed and she couldn't feed him and then feeling the insane amount of hope when he FINALLY breastfeed. "I can't wait to see the person you turn into" "it's you an me against the world kid". She got the illusion of having her baby just to have it ripped away from her in the worst way possible. To be back on the make shift, dirty birthing table, surrounded by girls who don't know what their doing, being told after everything she believed was true, after all the PAIN she's been through he's gone. When she finally realizes her baby is gone she then lays it to rest, once again repeating the phrase "it's you and me against the world kid". Absolutely devastating.
The way it affects her relationship with callie too in the future, we can see her so clearly keep her away. She refuses to get close because she cannot imagine losing another baby. She admits it several times in the show, but we can so clearly see it when she finds Lotties honey farm retreat thing and she is tasked to take care of the goat. Genuinely such a misunderstood and complicated character

I think my favorite aspect of Imogen as a character is how she consistently chooses to empathize with and seeks to understand the outsider, even if - or perhaps even especially if - they are viewed as scary or dangerous. The most obvious example thereof is of course her relationship with Laudna. Not only did she choose to befriend and travel with someone who's strange, undead, scary, and the vessel of an evil necromancer, she chose to step up and defend Laudna against her home village despite never having met her before and knowing nothing about her, simply because she saw someone being targeted due to scared people making a snap judgement based on assumptions of the undead. It isn't that Imogen decided Laudna was harmless and innocent (again, she didn't know her at the time), but rather that she saw no one else would as much as slow down to give her a chance.
We see this aspect of her many times in the campaign. She lets the strange little mushroom people of Ruidus take her by the hand and lead her into their scary tunnels. She meets the all minds burn, a scary hive mind entity, not with fear or apprehension but with a willingness to understand. She's one of the strongest proponents in arguing that FCG, an automaton not viewed as a person by the general populace, has personhood and a soul. When facing Predathos, she does so with empathy, and when she releases it at the end she doesn't tell it to fuck off but kindly and even mournfully lets it know there's nothing left for it here. Part of her epilogue is working with emigrating Ruidians, who've lived under oppression and are viewed with suspicion by Exandrians, to help them find a home and belonging.
This aspect of her is also one of her greatest flaws. While it makes her empathetic toward the outsider, it often leaves her suspicious of or judgmental towards the "normal" and accepted, because for much of her life those who are normal never made an effort to reach out to or understand her due to their fear of something not under her control. She will reach out to the strange and scary, but will also turn around and say she isn't sure she wants to save the gods because they don't love her. She will extend understanding to Laudna to the point that Laudna runs straight into the arms of Delilah's temptations of power thinking Imogen will accept this regardless of the harm. She repeatedly questions if the Ruby Vanguard, which is seeking something which will drive an entire people extinct and put the entire world in jeopardy, is right, because many of them are misunderstood and mistreated outsiders like her.
In the end, she makes great strides in extending this empathy even to those who aren’t outsiders, who aren't like her. She's the one to suggest the gods go mortal in an attempt to save both them and the people of Exandria. She sees the gods' actions in Aeor yet views it with understanding. She reaches out to her father before the final battle, and tells her mother he deserves better. Imogen is a balancing act of snap judgements based on past harm and the choice of empathy, and it was at once heart-warming and terrifying to see her grapple with this.
#critical role#cr3#imogen temult#nella talks cr#characters like fearne and jester have a similar attitude of reaching out to and protecting the strange and ostracized#but with them it's more that they are themselves morally neutral entities and don't judge good and bad the same way as most people#meanwhile imogen grew up in the middle of society yet was refused becoming an accepted part of it due to being ruidusborn#and so she intimately knows what it's like to be feared for something beyond your control#it's not that she doesn't think the fear is unearned it's that she understands the feared is a person too#and sometimes someone reaching out can make all the difference

I went to see Les Mis a few days ago! Here are my notes:
- Killian Donelly's Valjean, I think, fits so perfectly with Bradley Jaden's Javert. Killian is a little more harsh, a little more desperate to atone for his sins. He trembles when he holds those silver candlesticks, you could hear his desperate breaths. No matter how soft or how gentle he’s become, he is still so, so anxious and paranoid.
- But y know what? There was freedom when he saved Javert from the barricades. There was freedom when he grounds himself in his love for Cosette. There was freedom when he shows mercy and forgiveness. At the face of love and mercy, he is free and I FUCKING WENT INSANE
- Bardley Jaden’s Javert's transformation from start to finish is terrifying and I'll say it again. He was not so violent at first. He was composed, strong-willed. He held his nose high and looked down at everyone. He pitied Fantine and smiled at her, he looks to the audience with gentle eyes asking to be justified, asking for some kind of sympathy as if he was a saviour taking action so no one else should. It is such a contrast to Valjean's anxious nature.
- but Javert is capable of fear. I have never thought I would see a Javert so terrified of somehow being misunderstood, of being proven wrong for his ideals and principles. Normally, Javert is angry with his sights only on Valjean, but Bradley makes this character so fearful AND IT IS SCRUMPTIOUS. Almost near the end he's afraid of even Valjean's touch. He doesn't look at the audience, he looks up at the heavens instead.
