Today is an unusual sight for the usually hectic police department in Raccoon City. The office is adorned with balloons, garlands, and laughter, celebrating not just the promotion of a well-loved officer, Leon S. Kennedy, but also his farewell as he relocates to a new precinct.
You should be happy for your boyfriend – and you are – but part of you will miss watching over his figure from your desk, casting flirtatious grins back and forth in attempts to distract each other from the rigorous paperwork.
A banner suspends between the light fixtures, observing the lopsided words ‘CONGRATULATIONS’, strings twisted into the knot. The culprit of this handiwork, Chris, puffs out his chest proudly, while Rebecca looks at him in disbelief.
“Chris, leave the decorations to Rebecca, please.” You break apart the squabble forming between them. Rebecca smirks as Chris descends the ladder, defeated. “Don’t forget everyone, this is supposed to be a surprise.”
“Claire, where is the card?” You interrogate the next person in your line of sight, who happens to be Claire. All whilst you signal Rebecca to tilt the banner slightly upwards. “Has everyone signed?”
“Yep. It’s just you left.” She hands over the card, before resuming to the case files on her computer.
The card scrawls with heartfelt blessings from your team, a lot of ‘good lucks’, ‘we’ll miss you’, and nostalgia when he was just a rookie. He worked hard for ten years to be a sergeant, and you know he deserves this.
You pick up your pen – contemplating the words to express how amazing he is, how you will love him forever, how you will miss the sneaky make-out sessions in the work janitor’s closet.
…Marvin will be so proud of you. Yours, ....
The vibration in your pocket cuts you off mid-sentence – Jill. She is supposed to be on the case with Leon for another thirty minutes. You read the text out loud.
“I can't hold him back much longer, we're on our way. ETA in five minutes!!”
The floor scrambles in panic to finalise their positions. Rebecca quickly secures the banner with some tape. Claire is passing party poppers. Chris is putting away the ladder to the storeroom.
As Jill enters the space with Leon following behind, all the confetti releases at once.
The rainbow plastic ribbons catching in his hair like stardust in sand. You catch a glimpse of surprise in his reaction, following with a light on the corner of his lips.
Tumblr media
“To Leon!” your team lifts their glasses high in the air, sipping beers and cocktails all night. Leon is the star tonight – you can barely talk to him without two other people buying him drinks all night along.
You catch him a whole two hours later in the circle booth, after some of the crowd has dispersed, his cheeks redden from the many drinks consumed all in a few hours. You squeeze yourself through three different people to sit yourself next to Leon.
“Having fun?” You try to get his attention by nudging at his forearm. “Don’t get too drunk though, I have to take you home.”
Leon lifts his gaze, when he sees you right by him, a grin tug at his face almost immediately. His cerulean eyes somehow more glazy than usual.
“Thank you for doing all of this. You are so good for me.” Despite the scent of beer merging with his breath, the grin on his face remains childlike. One that you only see in his drunkenness, which he lets down his guard to show more of his emotional side.
“Everyone helped. Not just me.” You are thinking how cute Leon looks when he’s drunk. “You are well-loved in here. I’m just the facilitator.”
“How about you work for me?” Leon brings the back of your palm to his lips. “I can pull some strings, now that I’m sergeant.”
“Sergeant Kennedy, using your influence for personal goals? It’s not even your first day.” You quip with a slight chuckle.
“And what if I am?” He peppers kisses from your palm to your fingers, the faint heat from his lips sizzle through your nerves. “Sure you’ll enjoy less time on the field, and more time in my office.”
“Well, if that’s the case.” You decide to let this banter go on a little further. “I expect to be well-compensated for my extra duties.”
“That will depend on your performance.” He raises a sassy eyebrow, pulling you closer until your noses touch.
“Good thing I always hit my KPI’s.”
“I do like a hardworking employee…”
Eyes fluttering shut slowly, you smile into the kiss. His lips lay gently on yours, sucking slightly at your cupid’s bow. Your bodies move closer, so close that you rests your hand on Leon’s thigh for support. The kiss deepens further, sloppier, tongues intertwined until…
“Ahem.” Chris clears his throat loudly, snapping you back to the present.
You open your eyes to find the whole table staring at the two of you. Your gaze finds its way to Jill, which she immediately, most awkwardly, rolls her eyes to the ceiling as if there is something to see there. Claire is nonchalant, sipping her beer and simply enjoying the scene.
You retract the tongue that is still shoved in Leon’s mouth. A hint of pink is running up your cheeks, you don’t need to see it to feel it. Leon, however, is unphased by the attention from his coworkers. Perhaps it’s the alcohol, perhaps it’s knowing that he won’t be seeing these guys next Monday.
“So… next rounds on me. Who’s in?” Chris attempts to diffuse the awkwardness, which earns a few curt nods from the table.
Leon holds you by the hand, picking you up from the seat. “Sorry Chris, we’re gonna call it. It’s been a long night. Thanks for the party, everyone.”
You two shuffle past Chris and Jill out of the booth, after a round of hugs with everyone, you can practically feel Leon sprinting out the bar.
“How ‘bout we continue where we left off at my place?”
Your cheeks turn a deeper red. It seems like he will be the one to take you home tonight instead.

Husband Leon Kennedy x pregnant! Reader
A/n: hello there! I wanted to write something nice and sweet cause Leon deserves a happy ending and y'all deserve comfort! :) this story contains absolute fluffiness with a tad bit of insecurity, enjoy!
You stood in the bathroom, your hands on the sink as you leaned over. Your eyes were fixated on the pregnancy test, the word 'positive' staring back. You've been feeling pretty fatigued recently, you checked for cold, fever, everything. But considering you and Leon have been playing around quite a bit, it should've been obvious. Multiple feelings swirl around in your mind; excitement, fear, worry, disbelief. Which one do you focus on? Shit, what's Leon gonna think? He's always thought he wouldn't be ready to be a dad. What if he leaves? He wouldn't do that, right? The sound of the door opening and heavy steps snap you out of your thoughts.
"Shit shit, how am I gonna tell him?" You whisper, scrambling to figure out what to do with the test. You decide to put it in your sweatpants pocket. Your husband calls out for you as he looks around your shared home.
"Y/n? You here, my love?" Leon calls softly as he approaches the bathroom, knocking on the door.
"Yes honey! Just a second!" You fix yourself up as best as you can, although you've been in bed most of the day. You quickly open the door and are greeted by the sweet, handsome face of your husband. You smile and give him a hug.
"Welcome home, Lee! How was the mission, no serious injuries, right?" You quickly scan him for any bruises or cuts. He chuckles at this careful greeting and holds your hands.
"I'm just fine, baby. Nothing too extreme this time, thankfully." Leon takes a moment to look over you. You have little bags under your eyes, and your skin is paler than usual, he frowns.
"Y/n, are you sick?" He asks a bit worried as he feels your head. "You're burning up, you could've called me home baby, you need to be taken cared of." He says as he pulls you to sit on the couch.
"Yeah, about that Lee.. I have something to tell you." You say nervously, already fidgeting with your hands. Leon tilts his head and sits next to you, he remains calm. "What is it?"
You take a deep breath and reach into your pocket. You pull out the positive test and show it to him. "I'm pregnant." You breath out, hands shaking a bit. Leon blinks as he stares at it, letting your words sink. He's quiet for a minute, making you even more anxious.
"I- I know it's a lot, and I don't blame you if you need space I just-" You stop as you feel his hands grip yours, tears forming in his eyes. "We're gonna have a baby?" He asks quietly, you slowly nod. Leon smiles and laughs a bit as he lifts and spins you. This causes you to squeal in surprise. "Leon!"
"We're gonna have a family! This is amazing!" Leon smiles and holds you close. You let out a laugh, you weren't expecting him to be this ecstatic.
"You're not upset?" You ask, tears starting to well up. Leon looks at you with a flash of concern. "Upset? Nono, how could I be? I get to have a family with the love of my life!" Leon kisses you lovingly.
"After Raccoon City, I didn't think I'd be able to have a life like this. Having you in my life changed everything, Y/n. I'm so happy." He admits, making you sob.
"I love you so much Leon." You smile and kiss his cheek. He places multiple kisses on your face. "I love you too."
Six months later, your belly is showing and you're having a hard time putting shoes on. You're out of the fatigued phase, but you're craving everything and your emotions are haywire. At the end of the day, your excitement for a little one is immense. Leon has done everything he can to prepare. He retired, read all sorts of books, and took care of you the whole way. You aren't lifting a finger as long as he's around. And now, the nursery is almost done! Leon walks into the room and sees you struggle, quickly going to assist you.
"Y/n, you don't have to strain yourself. You can call me for help." Leon says softly as he gets your shoes on.
"I'm not glass, Leon." You giggle. "Actually, you're very fragile right now, baby. Too precious!" He responds, standing up and kissing your head. He gently rubs your belly, admiring how much you glow. "I can't wait to meet her."
"You seem certain it's going to be a girl." You raise a brow. "I am, I got a good feeling."
"Oh yeah? You'd spoil her rotten." You laugh out, holding his hand to help you stand. He has such a sweet smile, and his stubble looks so good on him.
"Boy or girl, consider them spoiled. But don't worry, pretty girl, I'm going to keep spoiling you for as long as I live." The retired agent smiles softly, placing a kiss on your lips. You blush and tear up, but quickly wipe them away.
"C'mon I'm starving, the baby wants Italian food!" You whine, making Leon chuckle and walk you out to the car. "Anything you want, my love." His life was about to be all about you, him, and your miracle. He's still trying to wrap his head around this. He finally has a chance at a more normal life, one he's willing to live for.
And when that baby arrives, there's nothing that can separate Leon from the both of you.

Congratulation... Captain?
Andy x Fem!Reader
AN: next chapter will contain smut
Chapter 3
"19!Line up in the barn!" A strict voice calls. The team lines up, all in a row, so that everyone is facing each other and Andy walks imposingly through the centre of the row. "We currently hold the record for speed and thoroughness! We want to keep it that way." She walks slowly past each individual, checking their equipment, state of health and attitude. Jack watches the scene from above without anyone noticing and smiles. He is almost healthy again for work after falling on the ground.
Andy walks past you, stops for a moment and looks you in the eye.
"Excelente como siempre". (Excellent as always) You immediately look down at the floor and Andy moves on. "90 minute workout, now! 19!" Andy shouts.
"19!!!" Everyone joins in and gets to work.
Andy also trains, going through the ranks to make sure everyone reaches their full potential.
"Looks good" She comes over to you and smiles. Fancy a round of training together?"
"sure" Andy lies down and you support her knees "if you can do 30 without hesitation I'll buy you a drink in Joe's bar" You grin confidently, but you don't miss Andy's raised eyebrows. She starts right away, looking deep into your eyes, which makes your cheeks unconsciously glisten red.
After 25, she continues, but has to pant a lot more.
"I hope you can handle a lot," Andy stands up with a broad grin, discreetly out of breath and drinks some of her water.
"30…not bad" you smile as you unconsciously look at her for a long time then go into the changing room to change and take a shower. As you stand in the shower, Andy stops in front of the closed door, already showered and with her back to the door, looking up thoughtfully as she is distracted by Vic. "Is Y/N doing well? Is she fit?"
Andy goes to her locker and changes. "Yes, She's fine." As soon as everyone had finished, the first call came. You go into Car L19 together with Andy.
"so what exactly did the woman mean? A cat rummaging through her garbage in her garden?" You look outside in amusement and stifle a laugh.
"Well, maybe it's a wolf in sheep's clothing." You both have to laugh and when you arrive, the woman is already standing in front of the house.
"Dios mío, está en el jardín e incluso tiene bebés. Hay que llevarlos al refugio de animales". ("Oh my goodness, she's in the garden and even has babies. They need to be taken to the shelter!)
"ok ok, nos ocuparemos de ello" (ok ok, we'll take care of it)," Andy tries to reassure her and looks into the garden. "Fetch the cage, she says she even has kittens." You try not to let on and nod, get the cage and you both go into the garden.
"dónde se supone que está exactamente?" (where exactly is she supposed to be?) Andy asks and the woman points to some undergrowth behind the composter. As Andy approaches it, she makes a huge leap backwards, when suddenly the supposed "cat" hisses at Andy. She scrambles backwards on her butt to get some distance. You look at her in complete irritation and try to understand what is happening.
"that's…a…a…raccoon! Un condenado mapache! (damn racoon)… A fucking full-grown raccoon!" Andy freaks out completely and tries to get her breathing under control. You approach him and put the cage down. "Well, you're a sweet mama." You grab the raccoon and her kids and put them in the cage.
The two of you on the way back, absolute dead silence interrupted by your sudden laughter. "A raccoon?" Andy can't help but grin and join in with your laughter. "yup…raccoons…" Andy looks at you and can't take her eyes off you, but she notices and stops, her expression more serious, and looks out the window as she whispers. "Tu risa suena tan dulce" (your laugh sounds so sweet)
Your laughter becomes softer and you swallow, finnaly ariving at the barn.
"I'll finish the protocol then…" Andy was just about to leave when you stopped her. "Friday…we're both free. Don't you want to go for a drink?" You look at her expectantly, Andy smiles and turns around "sure" She wanted to leave when Jack suddenly comes over. “What nice ladys do we have here?” He looks at you charmingly but you just look surprised.
"well settled?" he asks you
"um…yeah, Jack right?" Andy watches slightly annoyed. "I heard you like to drink, would you like to go out with me?" He grins and before you can say anything, Andy steps in. "Ok Jack, that's enough for now, you're still on sick leave, go home!" You don't even get to say anything. "That's good Captain, it suits you Andy." He winks at her, Andy goes into her office and Jack cheekily follows her. "um…ok?" your look completely confused.
When he gets to the office, Andy is frustrated and starts to write the protocol when Jack just walks in. "Andy you've been through this before, you know the rules!" Jack tries to talk to her. "I don't know what you're talking about." Andy doesn't look at him and writes on the paper.
"If you start a relationship with her it will not only affect you but especially Y/N." Jack continues.
“Do you think I don’t know that!?” Andy throws her pen down on the page and places her hands on her forehead. "god, I don't know what's going on either….I'm done…I didn't want a relationship for…the rest of my life" a hint of seriousness can be heard. "I…I don't want this, I won't allow it. We'll just go drinking and I'll lock my feelings in the basement…" she says ironically and sits down again after walking back and forth in the room several times.
"This won't work in the long run and you know that…your feelings will eat you up…until you…have the feeling…" he comes too close and whispers in Andy's ear "that you won't be without her, for a second longer…You will touch her or feel her lips…" However, he provokes her and Andy pushes him away. "Get out Jack…go rest until you can get back to work!"
Jack leaves the office all confident while Andy kicks her desk. "Damn…"
In the evening when everyone is at the Beanery to eat, you stand at the fridge to get some orange juice. Andy looks at you but tries to avoid your gaze.
Tumblr media
"Is everything ok Captain?" you look at her worriedly and Andy tries to act calm. “You can talk if you want,” you whisper.
"Oh, preferiría besarte de nuevo…" (Oh I'd much rather kiss you again) Robert looks at Andy in surprise.
“Qué estás esperando, hazlo?” (What are you waiting for? Go ahead) suddenly all eyes are on you including Andy's. "woow Y/N you speak Spanish? Nice to know that too" Vic jokes. “Then let’s share, what’s it about?” Travis leans with a big goofy smile forward on the kitchen island, as Andy stares at you in disbelief, with the conscience that you must have understood everything else she said too.
You were about to continue in Spanish but Andy stops you because you don't know that Robert also understands Spanish. "well…..ok I'll go to the office and take care of some documents." She goes into the office completely distraught and you call after her.
“Still writing at this time?” Warren looks irritated and Travis shrugs his shoulders. "That's what it's like when you're captain," said Vic, sipping her tea.
“You should go after her and sort this out,” Robert said quietly as he walks past you. You look strained and finally go to her, without knocking you go into the office. "Andy we need to talk…"
"Why does everyone want to talk to me today?" Andy doesn't look at you.
"Because maybe you're the captain?" you smile and approach the table. "Andy, I don't know what that is between us but you can't tell me that you don't feel anything for me…"
"I'm a captain and you're a recruit, weren't you paying attention in the academy?" she says sarcastically. "You remember the kiss…" you are silent for a moment. "There was something before, I-" Andy suddenly stands up and slams her hands on the table to support herself. "It will never be anything…the rules forbid it and I will not jeopardize my or your rank!" Andy's words sound sad and frustrated. "I'm not interested in a higher rank… I just want to try out what's behind it. Nobody has to know…" you explain.
"tch……" Andy snorts.
"So you're telling me you don't feel anything for me?" You come closer to her, grab her hand and place it on your chest, directly on your heart. "I..I…" Andy's breathing quickens, lost in the feelings she takes a big step back, against the wall and looks at the floor, the blush on her face. "You have no idea how frustrating it is, it repeats again and it wasn't planned at all!" she looks at you desperately. "Then don't resist it…I want it too…" you get closer and closer to her and are directly in front of her.
"Andy….." you whisper to her and feel Andy's way too fast breathing on your lips as she suddenly turns you around and pins you against the wall. The tension is almost unbearable and makes it difficult not to give in to all the sweet and tense feelings. "That…that's not gonna happen…" She lets both arms fall to the side of you and looks at the floor. "go…"
You hang your head in sadness and disappointment, but then look at her seriously. "I don't believe you…" with these words you walk out of the office.
It's Friday and you haven't forgotten the date with Andy, although you haven't talked about it anymore. Hoping that she'll show up, you order a beer. The doorbell rings and Andy shows up with Vic and Travis. They walk forward to you and Travis and Vic greet you.
“heeeey Y/N heard you’re spending us some beer today?” Vic pats you on the back and laughs happily. They order beer and you look at Andy who only gives you a quick glance.
"well then! cheers!" Travis holds up his beer and you all toast. The evening is quiet and fun when suddenly Vic and Travis get a call to move out. "Well then guys…I don't even have 2 beers…it's a shame"Travis said. They break away and only you and Andy stay behind. She takes a sip from the bottle, now the 4th, and then looks at you without saying anything. Your gaze doesn't leave hers and your heart literally jumps out of your chest. "say…….in your head I'm already lying naked in your bed and we're doing it all night." Andy smiles and takes a last sip from her bottle, puts money on the counter, grabs your hand and pulls you out of Joe's Bar.

INNIT HELLO! I finally get to speak to you! You're one of my favourites! One of my- because I am physically unable to pick one or rank them. Unless we're going with the order in which you became my favourite- in which you would be second place, but only because I knew about Vio far before I knew you existed! (You wouldn't believe how I felt after seeing you were shut off AGAIN- the Showrunner- or Scribe- or both or whatever, very cruel. CRUEL.) But I am getting horribly off topic. You! Innit! Is there anything you want? Things, information? I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to give but I sure will push the limits! I've seen you like physical affection, though, and you deserve all the hugs and head pats in the world!
*hugs Innit (with enough time for it to pull away if it wants to) and gives many many headpats*
Innit perks up at the new entity that enters its space.
An adorably round, silvery, slightly wispy raccoon bounds up to it. It laughs with delight as its new friend scrambles up its sweater to perch on its shoulder.
It reaches up to put a clawed hand on their back, purring from the warm greeting and affection.
“Thank you,” it says, gently scritching the chittering creature, who is enthusiastically patting its head. Having someone upset at its treatment is a balm on old, festering wounds; all of its suffering has not gone unnoticed.
Having others who really, truly care for it is one of the things it used to fantasize about.
…At least, before the fantasies nearly drove it mad. It couldn’t afford to go insane– not if it wanted to one day pay Daz back for his cruelty.
The way the newest member of its circle speaks of the Scribe gives it pause. Break had said something similar, hadn’t they? ‘There’s no point in lying to the scribe. Or the showrunner.’
Are…are there two entities? As far as Innit has seen, only the Scribe has been present, though, so…what does this Showrunner do? And, more importantly, what are their allegiances?
Those questions can wait, though. It needs some time to ruminate on them a little more.
Currently, there’s a new friend present. It can’t stand the thought of being rude to them, especially not on their first meeting. “For things I want…hmm. I don't suppose you can get me a real body, huh?”
Its tone is rueful, the statement made half as a joke. There’s no way the Observers have that much power; if they did, surely that would have already happened. After all, it seems to have gathered a small collection of critters-and-mannequins that enjoy its company.
“How about your name? I think that would be a good place to start.”

CH. 6
A/N: Earth, Moon and sun have squishy padding on their body's.
Sun, Moon, Monty, and Lunar were all talking in the next room. Eclipse was left in one of the little plastic houses with the door firmly shut. OK so maybe they were still in the same room, but technically Eclipse was the one in the separate house... so.. hah. God's this spell needed to hurry up, it was getting harder to see things from his original point of view and not a child's.  A bin had been placed next to Eclipse, who was laying down on the padded floor, his head hurt, when did it not? Huh that's a question.
        "NO!" Monty
"Monty..." Sun
"I'm not going to cooperate if you dumb asses have that THING loose in the daycare" there was a loud thump.
"Watch where your swinging that thing!" ... Moon
There was a long sigh, effectively silencing the other three, "do I need to get the talking mic out?" huh... Eclipse had never heard that voice before. He rolled over and crawled to the door, slowly sitting up to peak out the window. A new bot that Eclipse hadn't seen till now, stood in front of the others arms crossed, as if they were an exasperated Mother wrangling her kids. Sun shook his head and sat back down next to Lunar, LUNAR! Eclipse pushed himself onto his tippy toes to look at his brother, he looked droopy and stiff not at all like the buzz ball he normally was, and he was SMALL! Like him.
Lunar's piercing violet eyes met pale blue, Eclipse shrank back at the disapproving glare Lunar gave him, Eclipse let go of the windowsill and pushed himself into a corner. He wanted to go home, He tuned the voices out as best he could, berrying his head into his lap.
"Look I suppose it wont really matter but, at the moment? Hes a child" Suns voice cut through Eclipse's train of thought, "and hes sick, you may not like it, he may not like it, but we're stuck with him until further notice"
"No we're not! Can't we just send him to a foster home or something?" Eclipse tightened his grip on his legs.
"No Lunar, we don't know exactly what happened, as far as we know, this" there was a pause, "could only be temporary" Moons voice came out calm, "we can set up a few plans and rules in case something happens" No one bothered to argue.
Eclipse had been left to his own devices in the playhouse, toys and a nap pad had been stuffed in with five minute check ins. A bucket sat next to the door in case Eclipse felt the need to throw up again, he didn't but his tummy hurt so he stayed laying on the mat away from the toys. He didn't want the toys! If he didn't do anything they might give him back to KC! Eclipse felt giddy, his plan would work surely! Eclipse scrubbed at his eyes, itchy, itchy, itchy. Eyes drooping closed he fell asleep.
...
Throw up, throw up THROW UP. Eclipse gagged, his body shook with effort as he scrambled to the bin. Why couldn't he throw up? Dry heave after dry heave, Eclipse sat there in pain, he wanted to sleep! Something touched his back, NO! No more bugs!
        No, no more bugs.
No more?
        No, safe, good, warm.
Eclipse shuddered as his body relaxed a bit, the cramps in his stomach abusing his little body. Gentle fingers combed through his greasy hair.
Little one needs a bath.
No baths were for good children, he was bad! Gentle hands, warm hug, Safe, Safe Safe.
Good child, bad child, all children get baths. Eclipse shook his head weakly. Sick children get medicine, something bad slipped into his mouth. Swallow, swallow, good, so proud.
        Cold.
Its water, Eclipse swallowed and nuzzled into the squishy chest.
        Rest, sleep little one.
Eclipse sighed, this felt good.
...
The next time Eclipse woke back up he was bundled in several blankets and a stuffed raccoon was pressed into his arms. A plate of crackers and a sippy cup sat a little ways away, there wasn't much room in the house for anything else, Eclipse blinked in surprise, the door was open. He sat up and scrubbed at his eyes, itchy. the Raccoon was tucked safely under his arm as Eclipse slowly sat up to pick at the crackers. He ate one before selecting to go explore, his overbearing hunger he harbored in the past two weeks suddenly gone. Eclipse waddled out of the hut, marveling at all the colors.
Eclipse, went over to the couch, his hand brushing the soft texture. He turned away, making a mental note to touch the couch again, his eyes landed on something big, lumpy, and blue. Eclipse squealed excitedly, toddling over to the bean bag, Raccoons tail swinging violently. He climbed onto the large sack and sank into it immediately, Eclipse quickly learned that he was, well, stuck. He giggled to himself as he tried sitting up, unaware of two violet eyes glaring at him from the balcony.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (Part 5)
I'm throwing out old story ideas and y'all get to pick through them like the raccoons you are. Click here if you want a more detailed explanation than that.
To read the idea itself, head under the cut ~
Second of three mermaid stories, this time we're doing a genre hop from urban fantasy to sci-fi, but Intei and Sier are sticking around from the first go at it. This one's a little bare bones, but sometimes story ideas are just like that, and you don't get very far with them.
And, without further ado, let me introduce you all to "Gliese 1214b"
Which goes as follows:
This iteration of “the mermaid story”)would be a sci-fi story based on Gliese 1214b, a planet theorized to be made almost entirely of water, to the point where the ocean floor is not sand, but rather a unique and alien form of ice formed due to the immense amount of water pressure in the alien oceans.
From what I remember, the story would feature both Sier and Intei (ever-constants they are) and instead of being fantasy-based mermaids, would instead be genetic experiments.Quick synopsis, Intei, naive experiment she is, lives in a laboratory test facility. Her daily life consists of swimming through an empty ocean and the occasional lab test. Then one day she discovers her true nature as an illegal experiment slated for termination. An important character in this iteration would be the hired gun of whatever evil genetic modification company made Intei, let’s call him “Chartreuse”. One scene I can think of is Intei attempting to kill Chartreuse via breaking his diver suit, but before she can finish the job Chartreuse explains that he’s actually on her side, and wants to free her. Cue a panicked scramble to get Chartreuse to a sci-fi healing pod on the surface.
I also remember Sier being a monstrous prototype genetic experiment that escaped to the bottom of the ocean, and Intei coincidentally meeting him is how she found out about her illegal nature etc. etc.
Two more short, specific scenes, first, a scene in which Intei, Sier and Chartreuse were having one of those blockbuster movie secret conversations in the middle of a crowded restaurant. I remember wanting this scene to set up that Intei is the reckless, spiteful one who doesn’t really forgive Chartreuse for anything, while Sier is the more timid, fearful one, who’s desperate for any help at all.
Second scene involved a shoot-out between the hero group (Sier, Intei, Chartreuse) and the minions of the evil genetic modification company. Chartreuse want to do that thing were you sacrifice yourself to buy time for everyone else, but Intei doesn’t let him, arguing that A), you don’t get out of this so easily, and B) they have no idea how to avoid the corporate stooges without his help.

tuna | anniversary special
Synopsis: A normal day in Yuu's new life in NRC but, somehow, today made them feel a little bit nostalgic.
Notes: I wanted to write something for Twisted Wonderland's anniversary! This game really means so much to me and I don't think I would've picked up writing again if I didn't stumble upon it. Something about Grim and Yuu's relationship makes me emotional and the fact that Grim got a new card in the game didn't help me cope at all. I ended up writing this fic as a result, this is just purely fluff! (I think) I hope you guys like this.
Tumblr media
The smell of charred coal and an oily can of tuna greeted Yuu's nostrils as they stirred awake, grumbling incoherent words as their eyes adjusted to the sudden sunlight entering their room through the window. It was almost peaceful.
Almost.
Had it not been for Grim feasting on his tuna noisily and messily. Yuu sighed as they stood up from their bed and began to arrange it—folding the sheets, dusting the pillows and set them aside neatly. The creaking of the floorboards with each step they took used to unnerve them, afraid that it might give in one day but Yuu learned to get used to it. Though sometimes they can't help but worry for the day when it actually gives in. Maybe they could ask Headmaster Crowley before that happens?
Yuu shook their head and dismissed the thought. The last thing they wanted to hear was Crowley spouting nonsense all over again and then disappearing without a trace. Judging from all the times Crowley has let them down, who's to say that he won't do it again? They pulled out the wooden chair placed by the table and scrunched their face when they saw how Grim was eating.
"You're making a mess everywhere!" Yuu scolded, trying to snatch the tuna can from his hands (paws?) before he could knock the other stuff down on the table. Grim didn't bother refuting as he sat back lazily on the chair, a satisfied grin on his face.
"Mhm... That was delicious~!" Grim let out a merry sigh. The breakfast he'd been used to everyday wasn't something he would look forward to or enjoy. Living in an abandoned dorm meant that no one else was there to cook for them but theirselves and there was no way Yuu was letting the ghosts handle the cooking. As a result, most of their meals were either bland or too little in terms of portions—Crowley wasn't one to ensure these types of things so that's one more thing Yuu adds to the list of 'Why I don't like the Headmaster'.
So when Grim found a can of tuna lying around somewhere, he didn't waste a second to grab the golden opportunity in front of him. Though there was one tiny little problem with what Grim did.
Yuu got that for their breakfast today.
Together.
And much to their misfortune and Grim's doom, the can was empty. Yuu had to pause for a moment to process the sudden discovery—Grim ate all of the tuna. They had to clench their fist tightly so as to not grab the ribbon tied around Grim's neck and shake him like a pepper shaker. Grim was blissfully unaware of the way Yuu was giving him glares that could kill and continued to relish himself in his euphoria. Though that was short-lived when Yuu decided to open their mouth, gentle anger lacing their voice.
"Grim. Did you eat all of the tuna?" They crossed their arms across their chest, a perfect close eyed smile on their face as they tilted their head slightly when they questioned Grim. He froze for a moment, eyes widening and his lips slightly twitching as Yuu furrowed their eyebrows. Clearly, they saw how the sudden realization hit the raccoon-cat (or whatever he was) and how nervous he became. He needs to think of an excuse—fast.
"A-Ah! About this…" Grim started, throwing his paws around in the air, making out incomprehensible gestures. Though before they could hear his explanation, an important thought crossed over Yuu's mind and they felt their blood run cold.
"Hey… Grim. What time is it?" They didn't wait for a reply, feet already scrambling towards their closet as they vigorously looked for a clean uniform. Grim held a confused expression.
"Eh, time? Isn't it…"
"Grim you idiot! We're bloody late!"
"F'nya!! Why didn't ya tell me sooner!?"
"Oh so now it's my fault? You're the one who didn't wake me up!"
"Professor Trein is going to be so mad…"
"Just shut up and start walking!"
Both of them dashed out from Ramshackle, the doorknob at the entrance getting slightly jammed so Yuu had no choice but to break the rickety door down. Not that it was difficult though, burglars could've easily killed them during their sleep—that is, if people even manage to climb a whole mountain to bother stealing from them. They'll just have to explain the door incident to Headmaster Crowley as well later. That is, if they manage to talk to him at all.
But, for now, the only thing stuck in their heads was to run as fast as they can or else it was off with their heads!
Tumblr media
“You’re late.” Their teacher, Professor Mozus Trein, spoke in a cold tone. Gingerly stroking his cat’s head as it purred but that didn't give Yuu and Grim any ease at all when they stood there, unmoving, at the classroom entrance. Yuu tried to keep a neutral expression, hands at their side and feet together. Grim, on the other hand, wasn’t doing so well with doing the same as Yuu. He had trouble standing straight on two legs so he decided to climb up Yuu’s back to their shoulder and stayed there.
The sudden shift in weight on one of their shoulders made them grimace slightly.
“Good morning, Professor. Please excuse my tardiness, it won’t happen again.” Yuu bowed slightly, hoping that this would all be over quickly and he would let them go to their respective chairs. They straightened their back, looking at Trein directly before he gave them a slight nod and returning his attention to the chalkboard in front.
Yuu and Grim let out a sigh of relief simultaneously as they quickly went to their respective seats with Grim hopping off Yuu’s shoulder. He grabbed a bunch of books from Yuu’s bag to stack them up. Sitting on it since he wasn’t tall enough to see on his own without the desk obstructing his view.
Yuu caught the sight of Ace trying hard to keep in his laughter in the corner of their eye. They wondered for a moment about what Ace could possibly be laughing about until they heard Grim snarl ever so slightly. As if a lightbulb suddenly popped up over Yuu’s head, it suddenly clicked all too well.
He was laughing at them.
Although Yuu didn’t particularly mind being laughed at by that clown, Ace Trappola, Grim didn’t share the same sentiment. They had to hold back Grim’s tail to stop him from throwing a fit during class—it was a good thing Professor Trein had his back turned or else they’d be in bigger trouble.
A few minutes into class and Yuu could already feel their head explode. Coming from a completely different world than Twisted Wonderland, there was no doubt that they were going to have difficulty understanding things from here. While History of Magic was indeed an interesting subject, Yuu couldn’t help but feel the need to pull their hair out when they saw what Professor Trein was writing on the board.
‘Those symbols… am I supposed to know them? This looks more like a summoning circle more than anything, how am I supposed to understand this?’
They slapped their forehead repeatedly and forced theirselves to stare at the board once more—hoping that staring at it for a while would miraculously make them understand whatever that is. Grim, on the other hand, looked like he was boding well—looking so studious and listening attentively. But the moment he picked up a pen, that’s when the image was ruined. Yuu had to stifle their laughter when they saw him struggle to write on paper.
While it was a bit mean to laugh at him, Yuu couldn’t deny the fact that the drastic change was hilarious.
“Yuu, is there something you’d like to share with the class? Professor Trein suddenly called out their name. Their back straightened and their gaze immediately snapped to the teacher in front. It seems like the Professor was paying more attention to Yuu.
Someone in the classroom let out a snort. Small, but audible for it to be heard by everyone in the dead silent classroom.
“Ace Trappola, do you have something to say as well?”
Ace stood up almost immediately.
“N-Nothing, Professor!”
Yuu was a tiny bit glad that Ace slipped up. At least they won’t be alone when Professor Trein decides to punish them. They shot a mischievous look at Ace, sticking their tongue out that screams: Serves you right!
Tumblr media
“Dismissed.” With one single word from Trein, the class burst into a series of relieved sighs and yawns—a few ones groaning here and there but they were eventually glared at by the Professor and his poofy cat. Ace sluggishly walked towards Yuu and Grim with Deuce, who looked as fresh as ever, following behind.
“Hey, did you get everything Professor Trein said? Today’s class was sooo boring.” Ace whined, crossing his arms over his chest as he asked his three friends.
“Nope.” Yuu answered truthfully as they put back their pen into their case.
“Not at all…” Deuce closed his eyes and clutched his forehead.
“Hmph! Of course I did, I even took down notes.” Grim was proud as he puffed out his chest. Ace’s eyes perked up for a moment, wondering if he would let him view his notes until a sudden realization struck him. He wouldn’t be able to decipher Grim’s terrible handwriting in the first place. His expression slowly turned into one of disappointment—something akin to the feeling of finding out your name wasn’t in the Top 50.
Deuce was the first to comment. “These are….. Notes?”
“Grr! What’s that supposed to mean!?”
“It looks like a bunch of scribbles made by a cat.” Yuu added. Grim was about to be fuming mad until his ears drooped down slightly, Yuu felt a pang hit their chest. Could they possibly be feeling bad?
“Well… I’ll give you an A for effort.” Yuu patted Grim’s head, hoping that they didn’t hurt his feelings too much after that comment. Instead of lifting his spirits up, Grim felt like his soul got crushed. He felt like Yuu pitied him more than actual commendation, but he won’t say anything. He’ll take the crumbs of praise he can get.
Ace straightened up and walked towards the exit, dragging his legs slightly as he called out his friends. “Oi! Let’s go have lunch already, I’m starving!”
“Coming!” Deuce replied before promptly poking Yuu’s shoulder to make sure that they heard Ace.
“Alright, alright. Give me a minute to fix all my stuff, you guys can go ahead.” Grim stared at Yuu, wondering who should he go with—Yuu or Ace and Deuce? He was going to accompany the Heartslabyul Duo until he remembered how Yuu didn’t get to eat breakfast because of him.
He felt a little bit bad for leaving them like this.
He opened his mouth to say that he’s going to stay with Yuu until they suddenly cut into his thoughts like a knife into butter.
“Grim, you can go ahead too. Save a seat for me while you’re at it.”
“Are ya sure?” Grim asked them for reassurance.
“...? Are you going to miss me or something?” Yuu teased.
“No way! Nevermind, I’m leaving!”
Yuu watched as the Ace, Deuce, and Grim exited the door before letting their smile drop into a frown. They wondered if today was an okay date to ask the Headmaster about progress on the whole ‘find Yuu a way back home’ thing. But, there was a possibility that their visit to his office will be all for naught. Crowley was someone unpredictable, after all—eccentric is another way to put it nicely.
They tapped their fingers against the desk rhythmically. Dozens of thoughts running inside their head. The chatter outside the classroom cutting their train of thoughts continuously which annoyed them to death but it was something they took comfort in. The nostalgic noises of a bustling school filled with students going on and about.
It reminded them of their homeworld.
Yuu decided to look for Crowley as they stood up from their chair. A nostalgic bitterness lingering in their mouth as they left.
Tumblr media
“Why did I think I would find him today?” Yuu asked no one in particular. Eyes glued to the wall clock as they counted the minutes they had left before break ended and classes started again. They silently dwelled on their regret of visiting Crowley’s office, it was nothing but a waste of time. Now they had less than 30 minutes to go into the cafeteria to get some food.
Each step they took was taxing. They put too much force with every one and perhaps that was a result of getting mad at a useless bird—their temper can’t help but explode a little bit. By the time Yuu arrived, they spotted the idiot trio sitting by the window. They had already finished eating long ago but they were still there. A thought popped into their head.
‘Could it be…? They were waiting for me!?’ Yuu knew it was nowhere near the truth but perhaps they can indulge theirself once in a while with these kinds of thoughts. Grim was the first to spot them.
“Where were you!? Break is almost over.” The grumble Yuu’s stomach let out made their cheeks heat up in embarrassment. Maybe it was because they skipped breakfast? Grim felt bad. This was his fault, wasn't it? Ace and Deuce urged Yuu to go buy something to eat but one look at the line formed by the counter, Yuu immediately declined. They’re going to be late for class if they waited!
Grim stared at the small portion of lunch he set aside for himself for later. Much to no one’s surprise, it was fish. He had a debate with himself—asking if he wanted to keep this or offer it to Yuu. In the end, he went for the latter. He nudged Yuu with his paw before holding up the plate with his two paws.
“Have this if you want… Ya didn’t get to eat breakfast because of me, right? I feel kinda bad but here.”
Ace’s eyes were wide in shock and Deuce dropped his yogurt. Yuu was flabbergasted at the sudden nice gesture Grim was showing but-
“Sorry, but I don’t want rabies.”
Grim had to resist the urge to set everything on fire. Yuu had to bite back a laugh when they saw how mad Grim was—denying everything about him having rabies. The troubles they had about Crowley were long gone and replaced by the bubbling happiness growing in their chest. The sight of their friends—Grim, Ace and Deuce—was enough to convince them to forget about it. Even if it’s just for a short while.
The nostalgic taste danced in the tip of their tongue once again. A sudden wave of sadness washing over them as they thought about the day when they’ll eventually go back to their own world.
I’ll miss this. Definitely.
They looked up to see Grim causing a mess with Ace holding him back and Deuce trying to summon another cauldron. Yuu shook their head.
But, for now, let’s focus on the present.
Is it so bad that Yuu wanted the incompetent headmaster to stay incompetent? Just for a little longer, don’t find a way back.

Morning Make Out
[right now only on tumblr]
As the sun rises and the sunlights psses through the curtain's blinds and wakes them. A view comforting for them and anyone who could imagine it, Ranpo and Edgar, cuddled with each other only leaving space for the small and fluffy raccoon that lays calmy next to Edogawa's chest. Poe's arm surrounded both the latter and the animal, the other letting Ranpo's messy and spiky hair lay over itself.
The first to react is Edgar, who stands and goes to the bathroom after kissing his partner's pale forehead. After brushing both his hair and teeth, he's accompanied by Karl – who recently woke up by the light too–...–Both him and Poe are unable to sleep in the sun – down to the kitchen where there already be a bowl of food for the animal to eat.
It would soon be 6:15 am so Ranpo would be up soon – if he's in a good mood – so the three of them could have breakfast together. Poe was almost finishing frying their beacon he heard a thud was felt as the roof on top jumped along with the sound.
Oh— Bad mood
As he served the meat on the plates and turned on the coffee machine, a pair of short but warm arms surrounded his torso, surprising him—thought you were in a bad mood—Edgar continued what he was doing, he got to hear a hoarse sound of a soft mornin' ,and shut up.
Once everything was done there was nothing left other than sit. Poe and Ranpo seating on opposite sides of the four-seats table and Karl standing on top of one of the remaining ones.
The taller one didn't mind eating in silence, but as much as he imagined that Ranpo would prefer silence now— It's Monday —Ranpo grunts, adjusting his head— give me loveee! — Poe chuckled and continued to blow on his scrambled eggs — you can start with the bacon I made specially for you, also hurry up, we can make out for five minutes if you’re ready in fifteen — His face was covered by his hair, but you could see a bright red tint from the tip of his ears, what a lovely sight first time on the morning. right?
It didn’t take long before Ranpo finished and ran up the stairs to get ready. Meanwhile, Poe went to the other bathroom and fixed himself.
With his hair messily combed, quickly bathed and dressed, Ranpo made it to the first floor almost falling at least ten times. He couldn't help but jump on top of Poe once he caught him lying on the couch.
— I made it in seven, now my reward — He climbed to the top of the purple haired, who was still processing the sudden shock from the heavy weight that was now on his stomach.
— maybe after work, I suddenly feel sleepy — Edgar tried lifting himself and sit properly, but it was the boy's hand that pushed him down strongly— Edgar, my reward, now — Ranpo shifted slightly and whispered to his ear. The soft yet impacting tone of his made him gulp. He noticed it, and so did the black haired.
— if only we could have more time..— the detective continued whispering as he did enjoy for his lover to grow shyer with him— n-no we're not skipping today for t-this — Edgar tried to drop the other's waist but the view, this sight, the stare of Ranpo's beautiful eyes, cheeks lips, from the bottom, every single inch of his made his heart throb.
— Then let's make this little time be worth it — with a grinning big smile, the boy spoke before joining their lips together, the rhythm was slow at a pace both would enjoy, thus Poe was going crazy.
The taste of this, the moment. It's simply beautiful, his hand grew tighter on the other's hips, so it made Ranpo's bum to be lying on his weight. There were more and more kisses, it was almost impossible for him to not fall into the temptation of diving into each other's mouths with their tongues.
Ceasing into the pleasure of the multiple strokes that Ranpo made against the back of his ear, he realized. And it brought Poe a sudden urge to cover his face and jump into a hole— K-karl is watching —Edgar stuttered and glare out of the other's sight. Ranpo still had tongue interlaced with his, and when he stopped, hearing the comment, you could feel the dissatisfaction in his gesture— are you for real, Edgar? —Ranpo groaned pulling apart from his face, it was more than visible the blush that covered the tallest— You are kissing me, and you're thinking about your goddamn pet raccoon, one that has seen us fuck, multiples times! — He let go of his grip on the other's side as Ranpo glared back to the animal who chirped.
— I swear to god if you don't leave right now I will leave you to starve on the streets — the detective hissed, followed by Karl walking away with the sassiest attitude. Poe couldn't help but yelp a gaudy hey! also looking as Karl walked away.
— It's my raccoon!
— yes, my boyfriend — Ranpo made a pouty face, and it made the purple haired grin. He rubbed the boy's cheek, that's when an idea came to his mind. An idea that made him turn redder than ever.
— your boyfriend — Ranpo noticed what was happening, which made him smile and glare as if saying 'what's on your mind?tell me!' Poe's Adam's Apple made a small movement.
— I'll l-let you m-mark me — The taller shifted his head higher revealing his pale and empty neck. There was an image of surprise and happiness on the detective stare. The seductive expression that was once painted his face turned into one the looked like a puppy one.
— Oh, I'm definitely going to enjoy this — that was the last thing Ranpo said before bumping a thousands of bites on the taller's neck.
And when you less notice, the thirteen minutes are over.
— dearest, it-t's time f-for work —
Poe knew clearly he didn't have more time, yet the bulge on his crotch was impossible to not notice.
Ranpo as well, continued to glare at the big amount of purple dark spots on the others neck. It's funny how Edgar hasn't taken in account how visible they are.
'Let's see how much it takes for him to see them' that's what Ranpo thought. But he hasn't realize the taller is much more worried on how to solve the issue inside his own pants.
— This will definitely be Louisa's and Lucy's weekly tease —
Thought it would be great to post on tumblr some oneshots as preview before uploading on Ao3/Wattpad
What do you think abt this one?

Why (Songfic)
Leon Kennedy x Reader
Tumblr media
Warning: none
Song: Why by Sabrina Carpenter
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You like New York City in the day time
I like New York City in the night time
You didn't know why he despised the city when the skies begin to darken and the sun wasn't out. You figured it was because he was afraid of the dark? Maybe he had nightmares when he was a kid and they just stuck with him while he was growing up? You didn't know.
While he hated the city during the night, you loved it very much. You loved how the stars would just twinkle and their brightness would contrast to the deep-colored skies as well as the city lights that would really captivate you when you look out the window.
Now to him, he knew you would never understand why he hated it during the night. Not just New York though, everywhere he goes he's hated the darkest times. It was night time when the unexpected nightmare happened back in Raccoon City and most of his past missions happened during the night. The only time he's had a mission with the sun still up was in the Eastern Slav Republic and a little bit of New York. Though, when the New York incident happened the horrors really began at night and it gave him more reasons to hate the darkness.
You said you like sleeping with the air off
I don't, I need it on
There was this one time when you felt like it was too hot and was about to lower the air conditioner's temperature more but Leon told you not to because he felt cold already. You were puzzled because the temperature was literally at 25 degree Celsius AND he was huddled up in his thick blanket even though you were slightly sweating and no blanket was covering you. You weren't even wearing a pair of long pajamas and long-sleeved shirt when you went to bed that night. He was a really different story.
Leon didn't want to admit that the reason he didn't really like the cold is because most of the time his surroundings was chilly it was when another bioterrorism attack happens. From the cold waters he manages to end up to to the cold night air that would always send chills down his spine. That's why he always wears a jacket whenever he's on a mission.
You like the light coming through the windows
I sleep late, so I just keep 'em all closed
Like I said, he hates the darkness and the light coming through the windows was one of the things that would keep him sane whenever he falls asleep besides you. Though, he just rings up the curtains and never opens the windows because like I said, he doesn't like the cold. The light makes him feel safe for some reason.
You though, liked to keep the windows closed because it made you feel more peaceful. Like nothing could interrupt your late slumber. But when you began dating Leon and found out how he likes them open because it makes him feel safe, you didn't mind it that much and have gotten used to it over the years. You just wanted Leon to be safe. Safe from whatever horrors have been going through his head.
You ignore the music on the radio
I don't, I sing-along
You see, Leon was a loner after Raccoon City and before he met you. He never really experienced fun and was mostly silent. He's mouth only ran when he has a plan or when he has a snarky remark planted on his head, ready to be used.
Whenever music would play in the car he would ignore it even if it was one of the favorite songs he used to love during his youth years. The music at the bars he go to? Bleh. He doesn't even pay attention to them. His mind would always block off the world around him.
So when he met you and noticed how you would sing-along to every music that played on the radio out loud, he paid attention to you and only you because he found it cute how your body would move dramatically as if you were in a concert and you're the singer. He still wouldn't sing-along but he would watch you with loving eyes.
"Here", Leon gave you a handgun and a knife to defend yourself with. Your eyes widened. You know how to use a knife. It's easy. Just stick the whole blade in and you're done. But a gun? That's a whole different story.
"Leon, I-I don't know how to use a gun", your gaze slowly shifted from the weapons in your boyfriend's hands to the ocean-eyed man's face in front of you.
"That's why I'll teach you how to. Here", Leon made sure that no undead would come and get you before he turned you around so your back was facing him and held both of your hands with the handgun he gave you tight in your grasp. He taught you how to aim, shoot, and reload correctly and you nailed it quickly in a matter of minutes.
Now, you were sitting on a dusty and abandoned couch to catch your breaths. You had so many questions running through your head.
Was this real?
Was this some sick joke?
Was this just a random nightmare you were having?
God, you wished it was. You really did. You wished you would just wake up in your bed, cozily snuggled against Leon.
"So, you know how I hate the dark, right?" Leon broke the silence that was surrounding you both.
"Yeah"
"You know how I hate the cold?"
"Yeah"
"You know how I was a loner before I met you?"
"Yeah", you were now starting get puzzled as to why he was mentioning the things he doesn't like while you were in a situation like this.
"This is why"
What?
This confused you.
This is the reason why? What? Huh?
As if he could read your mind he spoke out his answer with trauma hidden in his voice.
"This is my job. To kill the undead. Heh. I know it sounds crazy but it isn't, really. I got used to it", he took a long pause before he continued to speak the truth about his hatefulness towards certain things.
"I was one of Raccoon City's survivors. It was my first day as a police officer and...this is exactly what happened", Leon raised his arms up to emphasize what he meant by 'this is exactly what happened'.
Raccoon City. You've heard about it before but all you knew was that the government wiped the city out but never knew why.
"A virus made by a pharmaceutical company broke out. It infected the whole city's people and only four of us survived"
You were speechless. You didn't know what to say. You wanna tell Leon that everything's gonna be okay but that's really ironic considering your situation right now and your mind just seemed to scramble things around.
"Before I met you I drowned myself in alcohol. Didn't really care if I was slowly killing myself", he spoke again while he kept his head high towards the ceiling.
"You're different. You're peaceful. I'm not. You're always this bright sunshine while I'm this gloomy ass moon, dependent on the light you give", he chuckled in his throat and turned towards your direction before speaking again.
He was very grateful that you were patient with him. He really was. Words can't express how grateful he was to have you.
"I'm...sorry if I'm not the ideal guy you want", your eyes widened in shock at the words that left his mouth.
"What?"
"I'm not like you. We mostly don't have similarities", before he could speak again you cut him off by letting your heart out too.
"Leon, if I didn't want you do you think I would've said yes when you asked me to be yours?" Leon went silent and gestured you to continue what you were saying. You held his hand as gentle as possible while your e/c eyes continued to stare at his blue ones before speaking again.
"I don't care if we're not alike. I love you because of who you are. You care for me as much as I care for you and that's enough. As long as I feel safe with you and you feel safe with me then I'm fine. Do you feel safe with me?" Leon nodded his head while muttering a 'yes'.
"Then I'm perfectly okay with it", you placed a quick peck on his slightly chapped lips that you love before pulling him tightly in your arms.
"You know Romeo and Juliet, right?" You questioned the man that had his nose nuzzled against your neck. It was sticky and sweaty due to the amount of running you did but he could care less. All that's important to him is that you're here with him.
"Mhm. The star-crossed lovers", Leon voice became muffled against your skin but you heard it clearly.
"This may sound cheesy but that's what we are. Two completely different people who fell in love with each other" you smiled softly before placing a gentle kiss on top of his head.
It was silent for a moment until Leon's low chuckle broke the silence again.
"This is really working, huh?" He spoke.
"Yeah"
I don't ask for you to change, baby no no no
And you don't ask for me to change
Tell me how we're not alike
But we work so well and we don't even know why
Funny how the stars crossed right
'Cause we work so well and we don't even know why
You can call it fire and ice
But we work so well and we don't even know why
We don't even know why, no no
We don't even know why, no no no
"And sometimes...we don't even know why", Leon spoke before he laid the both of you down on the couch and pulled you closer, making sure that you were safe and sound before drifting off to dreamland with you.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I'm sorry. This was kind of rushed and I used my phone to write this and it's a struggle. LOL.
Anyways, Reunited still has one last part. It's smutty. It's still in the writing. I was in the middle of writing it and I got lazy for some reason. LMAO.

her eyes fluttered open like a scene in a movie.
she lifted her head with a soft groan, taking in her surroundings.
she definitely wasn’t in her bed.
she pushed herself into a sitting position. the room was faintly lit and dust attacked her nostrils.
something about the room seemed familiar, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it.
to her left, she took note of a bunch of couches.
why couldn’t she have woken up on one of those, rather than the cold-ass ground?
she struggled to her feet, cringing at a sharp pain in her side. poking at the area gently, she found the tips of her fingers covered in blood. she was bleeding—why was she bleeding?
she couldn’t take the time to inspect the wound. a deep sense of panic was urging her to move.
the way behind her was blocked by a shutter door, like the ones used to close up stores at the mall, and she couldn’t get her fingers under to even try to lift it or fit her arm through to feel for a switch.
this place seems really familiar, she thought, looking at the massive room on the other side.
she turned back to the way hidden behind a room divider. the sense of panic spiked. she took a step in that direction. more panic. fuck it, and with that thought, she swung around the divider. she slowly pushed the door open, finding herself faced with a long, dark, extremely terrifying corridor. she knew she had no choice but to go this way, so she continued. she detected a faint metallic scent, and even in the dark, she could make out a form slouched at the end of the hallway.
“hello. . . ?” she called softly, approaching slowly. the sound of static, and a frantic voice, hit her ears.
“hello?” she repeated, but she knew it was pointless. it didn’t take an idiot to know the man was dead.
the voice on the walkie talkie on his shoulder promised a touchdown at rpd.
        rpd?
curiosity got the better of her, and she carefully lifted the dead man’s head, gasping in horror at the sight.
the flesh on his face was cut deep from edge to edge and his throat looked like it had been torn open. his jaw started to sag from the rest of his face.
she made a noise of disgust, falling back on her ass. she barely noticed the body flinging itself against the window in front of her.
the glass shattered like it was paper-thin, and the body flopped in practically right on top of her.
she couldn't help the scream that came from her mouth—big mistake.
there were angry snarls down the hall to her right.
she scrambled to her feet as the body before her reached for her, taking off the way she had come. she heard the march of the dead behind her as she hit the room divider, nearly falling through it as she slammed the door shut. she took the table on the other side of the divider and dragged it in the way. she rushed to the window and tried frantically to get it open. she was met with another body flinging itself against the glass.
with a cry, she toppled backward over the couch behind her. she heard the dead trying to bust the door down.
        she was trapped.
        “hello?”
she looked to see a boy—man?—not much older than her looking in at her.
“hello?!” she scrambled to the shutter door, pulling at it pathetically. “h-hey! open the door! please open the fucking door!”
        “hold on!”
the door gave way, and she heard the dead hit her barricade.
        “hurry!”
        “i got it!”
the door whirred, but it was too slow for comfort. it barely cracked when the first body flopped over the barricade. she kicked the body in the head, turning back to the door. once it was open enough for her to get through, she swung her legs under, grabbing the bottom and pulling herself under.
if she was gonna die, she figured getting her throat torn out would be quicker than getting eviscerated.
gentle but frantic hands grabbed her arms and pulled her away just as rotting hands reached under the door.
        “take this!”
the boy—man, shit—pressed a knife into her hands, and her instinct took over.
she knelt as heads appeared under the door, stabbing swiftly as the man shot.
once she was sure the last was dead, she let herself relax.
“thank you. . .” she breathed, holding out the knife.
“keep it. . .” she looked up to see him offering his hand; she took it and he helped her up. her ankle hurt from falling over the couch. “at least until we find you a gun.”
        “i’m ryan. . .” she offered weakly.
he cracked a polite, comforting smile. “leon.”
leon. . . suddenly it all made sense. . .
she was in fucking raccoon city. . .
“how long have you been here?” he asked, giving the place a quick scan.
        “i. . . i don’t know. . . i just woke up here. . . i think i’m way far away from fucking home. . .”
“hey. . . breath, alright?” he grabbed her shoulders. “we're gonna get out of here, okay? you, me, and claire.”
        “claire?” she mused rhetorically.
he nodded. “i just met her. she should be here any minute.”
“we should look around, right? try to find a way out of here?”
“yeah,” leon said. “i was about to check the cameras when i heard you.”
she followed him to the computer on the front desk, peering over his shoulder at the screen.
“there has to be someone here. . .” he said, bringing up the cctv control.
“hey. . .” she pointed to the fourth camera, which showed another officer firing at an unseen threat.
        probably more dead.
“not good. . .” leon switched angles as the man ran down the hallway.
“david! marvin!” the officer looked into the camera. “you there?!”
“i found a way out!” he continued, showing a small notebook to the camera. “it’s in here!”
she couldn’t look as the dead got closer.
        “send reinforcements! east hallway!”
leon brought up a map of the east side of the building. “we gotta find that guy.”
“after you, officer friendly. . .”
they turned to another shutter door, painted blue with rpd stenciled on. . . with a card board sign reading “keep out" taped over.
“inviting. . .” she quipped dryly.
leon shook his head, clearly amused but trying to hide it. he pulled the lever beside the door; it creaked open, getting stuck with just enough clearance to be crawled under.
“into the rabbit hole we go. . .” ryan gagged as leon shined his flashlight under the door, revealing a thick puddle of blood. “blech!”
leon said nothing as he crawled under the door, shining his light down the hallway. he gave her a thumbs-up under the door and, with a whine, she followed him through.
“okay. . .” he breathed, facing the dark abyss in front of them.
it took everything in her not to cling to his arm like a goddamn child. the dead weren’t new to her, but this environment was.
she turned to the wall, where a fuse box was perched, missing a fuse. “looks like we have some searching to do. . .”
“we'll look later—we have to hurry.”
        “right.”
as they navigated the darkness of the hallway with his disturbingly-bright flashlight lighting the way, she had to resist the urge to take point. back where she was from, she usually led these kinds of operations.
        “you got this. . .”
she almost cried at his tiny self-pep talk; she probably wasn’t supposed to hear, but she did.
there were gun shots from deep in the darkness and they broke into a run. turning the corner, they found their path blocked by a tipped filing cabinet.
nearby, she noticed a boarded-up door creaking as if something was pushing up against it.
“i don’t like the sound of that. . .” she commented aloud.
leon grabbed the cabinet. “c'mon, help me move this.”
she ducked between his arms, grabbing the cabinet herself and helping him hoist it back into place.
        “nice, helping me feel useful.”
        “let's go.”
to their left, the hallway was blocked with an assortment of stuff, but she knew that wasn’t the way. back in the darkness, more gunshots rang.
        “c'mon!”
she took off running, braving the dark for someone she knew was doomed. she heard him behind her as she stopped at a desk embedded in the wall, groaning at the sight of bodies on the floor.
        “jesus!”
tell me about it, she thought.
“open up! hurry!” she spun to face the room. “open up! open this goddamn door!”
she pushed past leon and forced the door open, sliding over the desk and landing on her knees in front of the shutter door.
“hold on! we got you!” she squeezed her fingers under the door. “leon!”
“we'll get you out!” leon assured, helping her lift the door.
“help!” a hand shot under the door. “please! help me!”
“give me your hand!” leon took hold of the hand, trying to pull the man through. “i got you.”
ryan tried to keep the door open enough for him to come through without resistance.
“give me your other hand!” leon said as the man turned, reaching for him.
suddenly, he screamed in pain and blood erupted everywhere. she closed her eyes as his screaming threatened to force memories to the front of her mind.
        “leon!”
“hang in there!” she wasn’t sure if he was talking to the poor cop or her.
almost as suddenly as it had started, the screaming stopped and something told her to let go of the door. right as she did, a dead hand thrust itself under the door, being severed by the heavy metal door.
        “oh my god. . . jesus christ. . .”
she turned to the scene beside her, whimpering slightly. she had seen worse, but being so close. . .
the poor guy. . . the dead had torn into him so brutally it bisected him at the waist. . .
she felt sick.
the sound of banging on the door brought her back to her senses with a sharp gasp.
leon picked up the tiny notebook that had fallen out of the officer’s hand and shoved it in his pocket, crawling over to her, grabbing her shoulders, and lifting her with him.
“we could have saved him. . .” she mumbled numbly.
“hey, hey. . .” he lifted her chin. “there was nothing we could have done.”
she could tell he wanted to believe it, but she knew he was beating himself up, too.
the door behind them busted open and leon pushed her behind him, raising his gun at the offender.
        “stay back!”
        “leon, shoot!” she cried.
he pulled the trigger and hit the uniformed walker between the eyes. it barely moved it, so leon just shoved it aside, keeping himself between it and her as he backed them out of the room.
the corner window busted inwards as a walker rammed itself in.
        “go, go!”
she took off running, followed closely by leon. she turned the way they had come, almost making it to the end of the hall before another door busted open.
two walkers came at her, and she just barely managed to get the knife out as they came at her. she stopped the one to her left with her arm under its chin, bringing the knife up so the one to her right stabbed itself in the head. the knife got stuck as the walker fell, nearly taking her down with it.
        “ryan!”
she used the force of the other walker pushing against her to throw it to the side. “come on!”
they hurried back to the door, but part of it had fallen so only one of them could get through at a time, and they didn’t have time to lift it.
        “go!”
she wanted to protest that his life was more valuable than hers, but decided against it and scrambled under as quickly as she could.
leon crawled out after her, but right before he got his legs out, a walker grabbed them, trying to pull him back in.
“leon!” she got her arms under his shoulders, kicking the walker in the head as she helped leon pull himself free.
suddenly, a man came out of nowhere, forcing the shutter door closed on the walker's head with his foot.
she looked up to see a deathly pale dark-skinned man looking down at them, holding onto his side.
“you’re safe. . .” he said, “for now.”
“thanks. . .” leon said, relaxing back against ryan, who realized she still had her arms around him.
        oops?
        “marvin branagh.”
        marvin. . .
“leon kennedy.” leon pointed over his shoulder at her. “this is ryan. . . ?”
        “branson,” she finished awkwardly.
        “there was another officer. . .” leon said. “we couldn’t. . . i couldn’t. . .”
there was the beating up. . .
marvin came to them, holding out his hand. “here. . .”
leon took his hand, and the injured man helped the perfectly fine man to his feet. he turned to help ryan up, but she had already stood on her own.
“i’m sure you did what you could, leon,” marvin said, making his way up to an area blocked off by privacy screens.
as leon changed into his uniform, ryan wandered around the hall. the whole place was so beautiful—so ornate. it was hard to believe it was a police station. she walked behind the front desk, taking note of a typewriter sitting atop the desk and a large storage box standing next to the computer they had checked the cameras on.
hm.
“ryan?”
“here—” she called, hurrying around the desk and back up the ramp to the back of the hall.
leon looked relieved that she hadn’t run off.
damn, he looked good in uniform.
        shut up, ryan.
“does anyone know what started this?” he asked.
“not a clue,” marvin said, looking at something on his tiny nineties computer.
ryan came closer, trying not to look at leon too much.
“but honestly,” marvin continued, “all you need to know is that this place will eat you alive if you aren’t careful.”
        “you’re telling us. . .” ryan deadpanned.
leon ignored her. “yeah, well. . . i was supposed to start last week and i got a call to stay away. i wish i’d come here sooner.”
“you’re here now, leon. that’s all that matters. and your girlfriend, too, i suppose.”
        “she's not my—”
        “i’m not his—”
the mistake didn’t faze marvin, who turned his attention to the notebook leon had taken off the dead officer.
        “okay, lieutenant, i’m ready.”
what a sweet boy, ryan mused internally. the whole city’s gone to shit and he’s still keeping with formalities.
“hopefully, you’ll be able to find a way out of this station,” marvin said. “that officer you met earlier—elliot—he thought this secret passageway might do the trick.”
leon took the notebook from him, turning it to examine it; ryan peeked over his shoulder to get a look at the tiny drawings.
“this is good news,” leon said. “we can get you to a hospital.”
she and marvin shared a knowing look.
“no.” marvin shook his head. “no. i am not the priority here.”
“lieutenant, i’m not just gonna leave you here—”
“i’m giving you an order, rookie,” marvin snapped. “you save yourself and that girl first. i’d come with you, but i’d just slow you down. . .”
leon looked away for a moment.
“now. . . you’ll need this.” marvin pulled a knife sheath from his belt.
        “i can't take—”
“stop.” when leon went to take the knife, he pulled him close. “and don’t make my mistake. if you see one of those things—uniform or not—you do not hesitate. you take it out. . . or you run. got it?”
        leon nodded. “yes, sir.”
marvin looked at her and she quickly nodded. “got it.”
he sank back down to the couch, grunting in pain. she moved forward to help, but how she could help, she wasn’t sure.
as leon walked away to assess their plan, marvin waved her over.
“you keep his ass in line, okay? you look like you’ve seen some shit—you know, he doesn’t.”
she cracked a weak smile. “yes, sir.”
