I don’t support reliance on AI.

Yes, I love character ai. I use it because it’s fun, free, and I like “talking” to my favorite characters. If you’re not fine with that, you can just… not interact with my posts?

But AI-written fanfic? No. I don’t support it. If you can’t be bothered to write it, why would I be bothered to read it?

AI art? No. I don’t support it. You’re not an artist. If you want people to respect your art, just start drawing! Or sketching! Or doodling! Literally anything. It doesn’t have to be good. Practice makes perfect. Support young/beginner artists!!!

Using AI to generate prompts that give you inspiration for your next story? Amazing! 👏 Wonderful! 👏

People have been taking inspiration from things since the beginning of people putting pen to paper ( or fingers to keyboards ). As long as you aren’t copying every word exactly or just paraphrasing, then you do you.

I’m not saying we have to rely on AI to artificially create every scrap of creativity. If you use AI for every prompt, every story, then you’re losing what makes your imagination yours.

But I do support c.ai. Because I’m the one writing the opening messages. I don’t use ai for those, I create them myself. I use it only to make myself happy. I’m not using it to generate art or entire stories like some people use other ai platforms to do.

Furthermore, people still have to think up their own replies to the ai replies. It’s still fostering creativity.

Why I believe that despite environmental effects, AI should still be used ( for recreation )

Idk I feel like AI is not going away if we don't stop using them. Unfortunately, we can't escape it since freaking google has that AI search now but I really think if we have enough people to protest/boycott it then hopefully most AI apps/sites will shut down? I'm trying to be hopeful

weird fandom makes show weird?

my creator have alot of childhood shows, the ones i watch the most are robocar poli, octonauts, blaze and friends, ryan wold. today im gonna talk about one. even i am mildly the same as others on tiktok but i am pretty weird by my own, the one i gonna talk about is robocar poli: they were my favorite show since im interest in healthy and being safe from danger like kidnapping, safe at the playround. however, this show got a fandom. it wasn't that bad but the ones that i scared about the most is the r34. so r34 is that kind of art and stories relate to s3x, and nudes. thats why i started watch oly the show, later joining the fandom, it was quite nice , but then after i come out of my safe user, i started seeing ships( ships are a type of stuff thts always happen in any fandom where mỏe than 2 character being only friends then later being into the relationship by the fandom also include r34 btw) there were many ships and just to get worse, it just have to had proship(proship are another kind of ship that is ilegal like abuser x the abused, brother x sister, and more) i felt weird watching the show now

The Internet was once a great source of information, now

- It's cluttered with AI regurgitation. (This is particularly infuriating to me. If anyone is interested, I could make a post about my thoughts.)

- Old sites are dead and gone.

- Reddit destroyed itself. (I can go on a rant about this too.)

- Too much marketing bullshit.

- Ads! Ads! Ads! Ads! Ads!

- Stupid paywalls.

- Search engines suck at getting you what you want. SEO is a cancer.

- People trying to make a quick buck. I don't mind paying for some things, I'm talking about the 0 effort get-rich-quick crap.

- Propaganda, psyops, scammers, etc.

See enshitification and dead internet theory.

It's hard to filter all this crap out! It's particularly worse for people with conditions like ADHD, Depression, Autism, etc.

It also makes it harder for me to do my job. Sometimes I need specific, slightly in depth information. Due to SEO, I get surface level AI regurgitated crap. Multiple websites, all the same. They also come with a torrent of adverts. It's a user hostile experience. (Maybe I could write my own, better search engine. One that might allow me to blacklist and greenlist certain websites for certain searches. Or one that detects AI generated content and filters. Actually, a browser extension that detects AI generated content might be pretty helpful.)

I think I've run into webpages that just have AI generated recipes. It's awful. I'm at the point where I just want to use physical cookbooks. Those also don't have a novel about some irrelevant backstory and 69,000,000 ads obscuring the recipe. (Now that I think of it, maybe it would be useful to write an app that can convert a physical recipe into a digital one ...)

I don't know what I want, what really needs to change, or how to fix things. All I know is that I am passionately upset.
