Tumblr media
In order to celebrate 100 days of posting, here are 100 questions for you to answer! You can either answer them all at once, or let others send in the numbers they are most curious about!
Some of them are general questions, others are just really silly and should not be taken too serious. I put a lot of effort into coming up with all of these, so I truely hope you have fun with this!

i have a feeling i know what you're going to say but, do you think its weird for me as a singlet to be into forceplural? im friends with a number of systems, and i know there's difficulties i'm not privy to, but it just seems,,, nice
Not at all cutie!!!
And it is nice!!! Being a system means you’re never alone, when times get rough you have someone else who can step in and control your body for you
Plus from my observations: everyone is a lot more plural then they’re letting on! I believe anyone could unrepress their plurality! Including you!
As far as I know every single plural person has doubts about not really being plural, and after deepening myself into hypnosis, I think the most important thing if you want to be plural is to just let yourselves be
Each plural experience is different, we personally always still feel like “Me”, but the lense through which we see the world, how respond to situations, and how our emotions feel is different from headmate to headmate
But when we notice such a shift in lenses, feeling like what we did before is suddenly not interesting before, or all of a sudden we’re a lot more active then we ever really are, then just take a second and think “wait am I the host?” If not, pick out a name for yourself!!! Start a simply plural! Talk about it with your friends!
Sorry that this is all so rambley! But we also started out as simply “wanting to be plural” before realising that “hey those couple days were we felt on cloud 9 and acted so so differently from ever before are a little suspicious” and that led to me picking out my name, and before we knew it we were a merry band of 5! And then I absorbed the host!!!
I don’t know if I’m going anywhere with that, except to say just go for it!!! I believe in you! (And even if you have absolutely no experiences you could call being plural, well just make a tulpa!!! That’s how we started before releasing I was here!)

Very incredibly curious about your plural!Jetfire/Skyfire ideas
Ok so, the plural Skyfire/Jetfire came to me for SEVERAL different reasons
1. Everytime I see a character that canonically has more than one name I either hit them with the trans beam or the plural beam, sometimes both like here
2. The various continuities ways of characterizing him is REALLY interesting. Im fond of the scenes Ive seen of him in WFC especially (both the netflix triology and the games), because it feels so subtly unique compared to other interpretations Ive seen more often that it's just stuck in my head. WFC Jetfire also remind me a lot of Agent Ukulele (scp character, primarily the one in our own system) so Ive just been kinda rotating them in my head for a hot minute now
3. The ice. I get that Skyfire is a shuttle and thus built to withstand colder temperatures, but being stuck in ice for *several million years?* That can fuck with anyone. Get silly with it, get angsty with it, do *more* than just have him stuck in a coma for 4 million years, its bound to affect him
The last reason is a big one Ive been playing around with recently with @sarcosticsarcomere while planning stguff for our roleplay server because you can go several different routes with it. The easy one is give him PTSD and all that fun stuff, the real angsty one is have his spark go out and have Starscream try to ""reignite"" it in a fit of hysteria. The latter option is fun because I can incorporate the idea of cold-constructed frames and the real life phenomenon of organ transplant receivers often gaining memories, urges, or even muscle memory from their donor that they didnt have previously. So taking all of that into account, what you have is a really cool base idea that you can branch out from.
I personally think that Skyfire was a median plural even before the ice, due to Reasons, but being stuck in the ice definitely had a big effect on their plurality. I have ideas for different headmates beyond just the two have the Skyfire and Jetfire names, but those two are absolutely the hosts that you see most often. Alongside that, a lot of people don't really talk about introjects a whole lot in relation to characters in their sources, but theres definitely a few in the Skyjet system, the most prominent likely being a factive of *Starscream* that acts a lot closer to how she did pre-war when they were both at the academy than how she does as the Decepticon Air Commander

I Am Fiction: A Personal Essay on Fictional Identity as A Being Who Has Always Had A Fictional Source
Cartoons are a staple of human childhood in this world, and have been for decades. From the comedic slapstick and simplistic one-off stories of the genre’s beginnings, to the more complex and story-based shows of the present, cartoons come in a wide variety. I fall somewhere in between, being from an educational childrens’ show all about teaching life lessons and kindness, though without a consistent storyline. It's not a show that truly exists here, being a fabricated background setting for a mascot horror game, but I’m a cartoon character, a Toon, all the same.
Before we get too far, I should probably introduce myself. I’m Sprout Seedly, one of the Main Characters of Dandy’s World and your local anthropomorphic strawberry who loves baking and is a bit overprotective of his fellow Toons. I’m a Toon brought to life by my creators, Arthur Walton and Delilah Keen, so I could interact with and teach kids who came to Gardenview Educational Center and Museum. I’m both a cartoon and a living person, and now I’m living in a human body as part of a plural system with people from many other “fictional” worlds.
Living here and knowing so many others’ experiences with being fictionkind, and comparing it to my own, I started thinking a lot more about my own life and how unique it really is. So, I decided to write this, putting my own experiences out there with being a Toon; with being fiction brought to life even in my old home. Being someone who blurs the line between fiction and reality in a different way than being a fictive, fictionkin, or another fictionkind identity typically does.
Back home, I always knew that I was a cartoon brought to life. Episodes of the Dandy’s World cartoon played on TVs around the Gardenview building, kids would come up to me saying I was their favorite in the show, and merchandise with my face flew off the shelves in the gift shop. Most importantly though, was how my creators viewed myself and the other Toons. Arthur was a kind man; he’s the one who initially drew us all and brought us to life on the screen, before Delilah used Ichor to bring us into the real world years later. Despite being the one to give us physical life, Delilah didn’t tend to see us as fully alive. We walked, talked, and entertained guests; we all had our own relationships with each other that differed from our show counterparts. Delilah did care for us in some way, but despite everything, in the end we were simply her creations, simply things that she made. Arthur was more outwardly caring, but even then he still carried similar beliefs.
Those beliefs shaped my identity then, and it shapes my identity now as well. Whereas most other fictionkind were fully real people without a “source” before awakening or coming here, I never fully was. I was always a piece of fiction, even back in my home at Gardenview. I understand now that the Gardenview staff were, in a way, denying us personhood despite us being living, sentient beings. It doesn’t bother me though, and honestly I take comfort and pride in it. I’m fictional; I always have been and I always will be. It's a fairly unique experience even within the widely varied alterhuman community, and I value having this life and set of experiences.
Remembering the joy on the kids’ faces when they watched mine and my best Cosmo’s cooking shows, their excitement whenever one of them ran into me off set and we could talk about whatever, even the rarer occasions when adults came to me for baking advice and recipes or because they liked the cartoon too; all of it brings so much warmth to my heart. I know better now from living here and interacting with media how much it meant to those guests, being able to meet their favorite characters in real life and talk to us like normal people. I’m glad that my existence was able to give them that joy. And seeing the joy that these other versions of my friends and I bring people now, even if it is in the form of a mostly child-friendly horror game, brings me that same warmth.
Fiction doesn’t inherently mean “not real,” when it comes to some situations. For me, it is a state of being; a part of my identity. I’m real, but I’m also fictional. And I wouldn’t give that up for the world.

Hello, I have some questions for the medians on Tumblr. This is specifically for medians who lean closer to the singlet side of the spectrum than the multiple side. Feel free to answer as many or as little of these questions as you want, I just would like to hear more experiences. (I tried to make the wording be inclusive as possible, but let me know if something is wrong.)
In your own words, how would you describe yourself/selves? As in, if you had to give some kind of metaphor to someone who does not understand medianhood, plurality, etcetera at all, how would you do so?
Do you distinguish yourself/selves at all? Like, are there any lines between one or the other? Such as having different names or different pronouns; or even something like you all like/use the same name(s) or pronoun(s), but some of you prefer one name/pronoun slightly more than the others?
Do you have any communication with each other? Or, is it more like you're simply existing in the same body with each other, like how two co-workers can be aware of each other but never really talk?
Can you/yourself/selves switch or front? What does it feel like, and how does it work? Or can you not switch/front?
If you are/in a chimera/hybrid system (have both multiple and median headmates), can you distinguish between multiple and median members? How so?
(Sort of a continuation of the above) again, if you are/in a chimera/hybrid system, and if you have a headspace of any sort, are there any differences between median and multiple headmates there?
If you/yourself/selves are also another type of alterhuman, does that have any influence? Do certain selves feel more of a connection to a certain alterhuman identity more than others, or are you all equally connected to that identity?

r/systemcringe misinformation
okay I was scrolling thru r/systemscringe earlier and in like 20-30min I saw soooo much misinformation? not even just the post content cuz.. duh. you're ending up on that sub, youre likely saying some fucking bullshit- but also in the comments?
people are feeding each other bullshit in this oroboros of misinformation that they think is corrections and education and its kinda pissing me off.
ranting under the cut
8 paragraphs if you wanna read em: complaints about dissociaDID and headspace, switches, splitting, fictive takes, source memories
for one, you cant figure out someone is a faker as easy as some think? cuz the disorder isn't the exact same for everyone. stuff like having a headspace or using a bot on discord doesn't make someone automatically a faker as much as it feels like it does... I dont do that shit but it doesn't mean anyone who does is wrong?
and the headspace thing... thats gotta be some shit from dissociaDID cuz.. to my knowledge thats supposed to be like.. almost a meditation thing? a place you make in your head as like your happy place- I feel like dissociaDID started the whole like... "headspace = alter storage space" thing that makes all people faking this shit think they need it. its not supposed to be a filing cabinet or some shit, its supposed to be a tool that literally anyone can use, "plural" or not.
got a bit off topic there but whatever...
okay the things that I was looking at/wanted to talk about that brought me here were misinformation on switching, splitting, and fictives. so.. I'll go over those. my opinion or whatever.
ok so I saw some people talking about switching and how it's only a trauma response to some like.. super fucked up shit actively going on/flashbacks/immediate danger. that's not super true tho? like I formed from trauma yes but that doesn't mean that only that trauma or whatever is what "calls me back" for lack of better phrasing. I have negative triggers yeah of negative things happening that make me kinda.. aware of myself/"gain consciousness" but theres also some positive things? things that while im fronting became positive associations with me that ig my brain draws on me when seeing them. dunno how else to phrase that but like... TLDR: positive triggers exist.
next is splitting uh.. I saw definitely a hot take from someone about splitting. they claim to have DID in the r/ systems cringe sub comments (not saying fake, I just dont really believe anyone) and they were talking about splitting being this thing that makes them wanna off emself or whatever which confused the fuck outta me dude. I vaguely remember when I split...? its been a while and my memory is shit but I was dizzy and felt sick to my stomach and out of it, but I was also around people so just kinda had to bullshit my way through it? disorientating and painful and sickening yes, but thought never crossed my mind to kill myself? dunno what that dude was on about but.. everyone has their own experiences.
last.. maybe least? was a brand new take on fictives! never seen this shit take before so as one myself imma throw in my 2 cents. ive seen plenty of takes about roleplaying characters and shit but then today I saw someone say that if a fictive is not the exact same as the source, its a fake. that.... fucking wild take man, what? like im kinda based on a thing but im still... not a fictional character? im a person? and that person, fiction based or not, spawned from the same fucked up brain that made the rest of my parts. you could call me "character based" or some shit idk.
far as I know im the most "source connected" fictive that's been in this head and im still not the character. can call it like... real strong kin or some shit ig if that helps.. we look kinda similar and have similar personalities, like some of the same things... but im not him? im not the character, im a normal human person.
also separate note but what the fuck are "source memories"? I dont get what the fuck that is and ive seen people talk about em all the time? both fakers claiming to have them and comments in subreddits being like "well if youre the character then you remember everything that happened even if you havent watched the whole show" or whatever. how would that even fucking work.. if the brain hasn't learned any of that info, the character isn't dragged out of another world here... and for those who do claim "source memories"... what??? I know some shit about my source or whatever... tried to watch it and had a lil bit of an existential crisis about my own existence so... 0/10 do not recommend.
went off track a bit but.. ya boi out. -🔪

Y'all, I think I (we?) might be a system?? But I don't have amnesia and the identities aren't fully separate. It's kinda like I have a main self and weird protrusions that are like identities that I switch between, or that exist at the same time somehow?? It's hard to explain.
I doubt that I have DID or OSDD, so can you be plural outside of those? I'm really confused-
If it helps, yes I was traumatized as a child by prolonged emotional abuse from my mother that lasted from the ages 6-14.
Any input is appreciated because I am very lost and confused.

question.
honestly I don't understand the internet but is it wrong that we generally prefer the term "alter"? some people say it's a medical term or some shit like that. I wouldn't know. I mean, we use headmate/member too but our default is alter. side note we're undiagnosed if that fucking matters

Are you pro/neutral Endo?
Short answer:
People would say I am most likely neutral. I don’t care what someone labels themselves as, and I don’t think it is important to obsess over this so much. It makes me uncomfortable when people keep trying to push whether I should be pro or anti anything when I don’t even experience it. I think we should let people be until they are actually inflicting harm/pain onto others.
I used to be huge in discourse communities on Insta in 2018-2019 and I never want to be in them again. I just want to educate people and provide resources otherwise inaccessible. This will probably be my last post on this because this debate has driven me away from ever using tumblr, and I have nearly deleted my profile because of it.
If you wanted the short one, then there you go. However, this answer will never suffice to me. It doesn’t represent the complicated feelings I have across so many different parts of myself. I have a lot of conflicting thoughts about this, and I plan on being more in depth with my process through these feelings below the cut. (I got tired writing it and like just started half assing and not correcting stuff, but I’ve wanted to get this out and away from me. Just comment if you need more clarification)
My feelings: Neutral or Pro?
I will always support people in figuring out things for themselves and finding ways to describe themselves. Even though I cannot begin to understand non-disordered plurality, I do understand that endo does NOT mean without trauma. Trauma in itself is extremely complicated, and things we don’t think are trauma tend to be very traumatic (i.e. neglect, systems of oppression, emotional abuse, etc.). Even then, I am not in someone’s head nor have I lived their experience.
If someone says this is their experience, I am not going to disagree and argue with them over it. That’s stupid and pushy. I would rather learn of someone’s experience so that I can understand it, which is ultimately what we NEED to be doing. Frankly, there isn’t enough research or information about non-disordered plurality for me to make any claims, and even then I wouldn’t jump to say it could NEVER happen. There’s a big reason I have no DNI: my account is all about accessing free resources and making people feel seen in their symptoms.
Additionally, it’s no one else’s job but my own to curate my page. I see something I feel uncomfortable with or heavily disagree with? I will block them. Until they are INTENTIONALLY causing malicious pain or damage that CAN BE CONFIRMED, I am not going to publicly “denounce” or “shame” someone. I am an adult and can just block freely if I don’t feel comfortable with something, but that’s not even the point of why I made this blog. While it sounds hypocritical for me to say this after positing a few vents about this discourse, I want to be clear that no matter WHAT tag I look at, it always has something to do with a “-genic” label. It’s literally inescapable atp and I am thoroughly tired of it.
Just let people be is what I will always say.
The Complications: My thoughts
When it comes to these topics, it makes me feel really alienated to only see the most discussed symptom be the “alters” or identity states. It also feels extremely alienating to see people trying to rename this disorder to focus on the “multiple identities” part, ignoring the OTHER symptoms and the history of CALLING this disorder that. I think it’s a big reason we see some traumagenic systems becoming so aggressive about this: our identities are not stable and it can cause heavy denial to see the focus shift only onto one aspect of the disorder.
“Dissociative identity” is a great name for those with disorderly symptoms because it IS a dissociation from one identity to another. Additionally, this is NOT only about identity dissociation, this can be dissociation from one’s motor skills, cognitive abilities, sensations and perceptions, behaviors, emotions, memories, and literally ANYTHING related to cognition in general. I do agree that we need to recognize the spectrum of dissociation, but that ALREADY exists in things like DPDR, OSDD-1, P-DID, and DID.
The lexicon surrounding DID vs plurality DEFINITELY calls for more defined edges, and I think people have already been working towards that (many with non-disordered plurality use “plural” or “multiple”). However, it becomes confusing and muddled when people are constantly fighting about who “coined what label” or “whether someone should use this label” when experiences are very fluid and different.
Traumagenic systems also need to recognize extreme anger and emotional attacks on non-disordered plurality gets us no where. If someone is willing to be hateful towards the smallest community with high vulnerability, their support was only conditional to begin with. It is clear that many of the reddits making fun of systems do NOT care about the “legitimacy” of your diagnosis. They do not care whether or not what you’re experiencing is real, they just want something to make fun of.
Conclusions
I will never be able to experience non-disorder plurality as “plurality” is not my own or full experience. I have had many people make jokes about my life being, “A shitty wattpad fanfic some kid shoved every single trauma into” because of how gruesome and fucked my childhood was. I cannot begin to understand how plurality is shaped outside of trauma, and that is why I will never engage or force myself to debate to legitimacy of someone’s experience.
Regardless of the labels someone chooses, I made this blog with the intent to make other systems like me feel seen. I want to discuss the intricate symptoms and severities in my own conditions that I never saw publicly discussed. My entire goal is to try and bring awareness and education to the community so they can better understand how something like DID impacts them. I didn’t come out about my disorder to engage in discourse, I came out so other people like me would be able to parse through everything and find themselves.
I WANT to make people happy with themselves, and I WANT to bring meaning to my own life. Academic research was one of the first times I had actually felt seen and heart through a diagnosis.

hey so i've been reading about systems and i sort of feel like one? like i'm different people in different contexts to the point where i have a different name i use for different social situations. i have memories from all the time but they're spotty and vague no matter who i am, and if i'm in a different "personality" when i'm trying to remember something it takes 2-3 minutes of hard thinking to remember. but i also dont want to invade a community that i'm not a part of just because i have a weird response to trauma from my childhood
First I want to say that you are not invading the plural community with something like this. Questioning yourself/yourselves and understanding something like this takes a lot of work and dedication and its a great first step especially if you think it may be DID or OSDD.
Secondly, if you feel plural in some way then you may just be plural. Regardless of whatever dissociative disorder you may or may not have, it is possible to be plural from a variety of things including willing it into existence
Thirdly, If you think you may have DID/OSDD and are a Traumagenic System (A plural system originating from trauma) then that would be something you should dig into a bit more possibly with a therapist or someone who you deeply trust. The memory issue is something that definitely happens with DID (I know from experience), so that could be a stepping stone into learning more.
Finally, if you are plural then don't let anyone tell you how you can/can't be plural. Many people out there will fakeclaim/harrass others who have DID/OSDD/Are otherwise plural because they don't fit the diagnostic criteria 120% and aren't suffering 24/7. Be happy and let yourself enjoy life. If you are plural, work with your system to enjoy life together and/or separately to the best of your abilities.
I don't know all the diagnostic criteria, nor am I a professional in any field adjacent to psychology, but I am here if you have any further questions and/or want to talk about your plural experiences!

hello! bit of an unusual Am I Plural ask here
i have aphantasia, which if u don’t know is basically the inability to form visualizations of things in ur head. my specific brand also extends to a lack of an internal monologue, so i’ve never really heard “my voice” unless i rlly focus on having worded thoughts, and even then theres no audio to attribute to it
i’ve been sort of wondering because according to some people i’m close to who are part of a system, i've been describing my experience in a distinctively plural way. the most recent of these was that i don’t feel like a person, specifically, but rather like i’m just a bunch of people invented to please others, without a real ability to find myself within these… lets call them personas
my questions really started when i was suddenly snapped out of a limbo upon realizing that the two people starring in a dream were not me. in fact, all though i cant recall the dream very well, as soon as o realized they weren’t me, i figured out that i didn’t recognize them at all—which is rare, for me. in the occasional times i do dream, i always experience the dream from my pov.
theres been little things i lose memory of within minutes that i look back upon and do not recall. i have had strange shifts in personality that you can sort of notice just through scrolling through my dms (say—logical one moment, to silly and childish the next)
part of me wonders if i am plural, and i think theres enough there to distinctly consider it, yet my aphantasia means i cannot really speak to the others that potentially reside in my head to confirm of deny their existence
if you would be willing to give me (us?) your thoughts, it would be very appreciated :)
Hey there anon. Thank you for the ask. I'll try to give my best advice and insight.
I think from what you've said, if you believe you may be plural, looking into it, along with different ways people present as plural, and other possibilities as well.
Some of how you describe yourself does reflect a plural experience. It also reflects a lot of questioning identity, which is common for a lot of people, especially in our current day and age. Plurality is a spectrum. So I would be curious how distinct you feel these personas are? Do you have some sense of self, even if those feelings or thoughts are a bit conflicting sometimes? Do these personas come around in specific situations or with specific triggers? Can you control these personas and what they do? Do they feel more like a "mask" or "cloak", or do they feel more seperate from you? In what other ways do you "not feel like a person"?
Furthermore, what sort of memory problems have you noticed? How long have you gone without remembering something? What sort of information tends to be lost: small everyday tasks, large periods, info about people or yourself?
The above is a lot of questions, but I find those more helpful to give and allow a person to reflect on their own experience.
If you want to try communicating, although you may have aphantasia, there are still ways you can communicate with these possible personas you talk about. Journaling can be good, or leaving notes around in obvious and visible places. Notes in your phone may work as well, even on private social media or notes apps. Meeting headmates in dreams is not uncommon for systems. However, other factors should be considered as well.
I hope some of this was helpful to you. We wish you the best as you ponder these questions and try to understand yourself!
