DP x DC: Faster than Life, Part 2

Part 1

"Guys? I think we've got a situation?"

Barry wasn't sure what to make of the kid in front of him. He couldn't be older than 15 and he was glowing(?), which Barry knows, for sure, is not typical. The kid is also bleeding what appears to be green blood and he is definitely injured.

It was Cisco who replied first.

"What's going on Barry? I'm getting weird readings from the park you're at. They almost look like-" "Like the speed force readings? Yeah, definitely at least part of what's going on somehow. I've got a kid, possible metahuman, he's definitely injured and he just got dumped here by a Time Wraith." Barry started inching closer to the kid.

The kid didn't acknowledge his approach. Barry did a once over as he got nearer and noticed that the kid was still having trouble breathing. His arms were wrapped around his chest and torso in a protective stance, but Barry couldn't deny the kid looked like he'd probably collapse at any moment.

"Did you say a kid?" Ah, there was Caitlin finally. "Yep. Teenager, 15 at most. He's hurt, needs medical. I'm approaching now." "Barry if he's an unknown and a meta maybe you should wait for one of us to get to you. If he's injured he could lash out." Caitlin warned with a sense of urgency. "He's a hurt kid, guys. I'm not going to sit and wait while he possibly bleeds out in front of me. Prep the med bay, I'm going to try and bring him in." Barry finally got within reaching distance of the kid, crouching down so he wasn't hovering over the trembling body. "Hey kid, you alright?" Barry quietly called out. The boy froze. "Hey, hey, hey, it's alright. My name is Barry. You look like you could use some help right about now. I've got a couple friends who are super smart and can help get you patched up. What do you say?"

Barry slowly reached a hand about halfway between the two of them. He angled himself so that his posture was still friendly and open, but he would have an easier time catching the kid if he did pass out. "I promise, I just want to help you." Barry smiled. "Let me help you, kid." There was a moment of silence between them. Barry was beginning to wonder if the kid had dissociated or lost consciousness but remained upright somehow.

He was about to speak again when the kids head suddenly shot up.

Barry's gaze was met by wide, terrified, luminescent green eyes on a face much too young for this kind of clear terror and trauma. The kid was panicking, and a panicked meta is a potentially dangerous one even with the best of intentions. "Hey, whoa kid. It's alright. I swear I just want to help-"

The kid's head snapped around, eyes seeming to take in his surroundings, and Barry watched as his panic seemed to grow and grow the more he saw around him.

"Kid? Please, you need medical attention. Let me get you help. Please?" The head of shocking white hair that seemed to almost defy gravity and those glowing green eyes raced back to Barry in an instant. Barry held his breath, hoping he'd finally broken through to the kid who was now sitting in a puddle of steadily growing green. And without warning, the kid vanished.

Ok this is based on my surface level understanding of the Particle Accelerator that gave Barry Allen his powers. I’ve also only watched the show and it’s been a really long time since I’ve read the comics.

Dani is traveling through central city in order to help Danny with a favor. He suspects that theymight have some ectoplasm that they found near a crime scene (one of his ghost fights got out of hand, by the time he realized, he found got back with getting caught by his parents)

So Dani helps. She breaks into the forensics labs where they’re storing the ecto. She’s goes in her human form to not make anyone think she’s a supervillain.

There’s a scientist in the lab. Barry Allen.

She waits until hes looking away to grab the ecto.

She’s spotted before she can escape.

After a couple of awkward moments of silence, it’s broken by the lightning bolt.

From what I can find, the reason Barry’s the flash is because he was standing next to forensics equipment and chemicals. By logic, Dani is also standing next to said equipment and chemicals. One thing is different.

She’s holding the ecto.

Barry was found in a coma like state, and another girl, around 13 was found next to him. The officers who found them say that she was melting and resolidifying into green goo. She looked completely normal when she and Barry were loaded into the ambulance.

Dani didn’t have paper of a birth certificate, she’s a clone. Any DNA tests crashes the computer. Shes labeled as a Jane Doe.

She and Barry are kept in close proximity at the hospital because of their similar conditions.

(Danny and Jazz don’t know what happened to Dani. To them, she’s disappeared, dead most likely. They think she’s been taken by the GIW)

Barry wakes up after 9 months but Dani’s still in the coma. The Flash team monitors her progress from the lab, ready to help her if she develops the same powers as Barry.

Then, 3 month later, on the one year anniversary of the accident. Jane Doe awakes.

Cisco forges documents that says the Caitlin is the girl aunt, and Caitlin takes her to STAR labs for testing.

They ask her if she remembers what happened on the day of the accident. Dani does, but she’s not about to land in jail, so she pretends she doesn’t.

Dani didn’t turn into more or less of a ghost, that lightning strike gave her the powers but that ecto made her DNA less stable, although she didn’t know it at the time. It also gave her a power boost.

Flash gets a partner, named Flare, who’s almost as fast as he is.

Things are good.

Until Dani starts destabilizing mid-run.

Things are grim. Nobody knows how to help, and Dani isn’t coherent enough to help.

Jazz and Danny are visiting through central city, looking for schools for the both of them. Amity is too dangerous for Danny with the GIW and Jazz is looking to transfer away from Metropolis University (the Alien attacks are very annoying, at least in central she doesn’t have to deal with city wide destruction threats)

Barry runs into a teen that looks exactly like Dani, and kidnaps him.

It wasn’t his best thought, but the teen recognizes Dani.

They vanish in a burst of light. Dani is no where to be found.

Barry is devastated that he got his partner kidnapped. Until she returns, completely healthy.

Do you think the writers even knew how deep of a hole they dug themselves into?

Barry finds out Thawne had cameras at every significant location in his and his loved ones’ lives (one of them pointed directly at Eddie’s bed btw), and had been stalking him for fifteen years. Jesse was held captive for months if not a year, oh, and also tortured, that happened too. Caitlin’s husband died six months ago, and she’s a little sad but dw we’ve got a shiny new love interest for her. Oh Iris’s fiancé died too, on the same day, in a rather violent and traumatic manner. Cisco’s powers were activated by him repeatedly reliving his own death. “When it rains I can still feel where you shot me with those arrows” said TWO WEEKS after his spine was snapped (<- said snapped spine incident also involved mass public humiliation and other injuries). THE PIPELINE. Oh, Caitlin’s love interest didn’t work out? He kidnapped her, killed her doppelgänger in front of her, and threatened to kill her and all of her friends? Jesse gets the same powers as the person who kidnapped her. Iris’s mom is actually alive but oh wait not anymore; this will never be brought up again. Barry’s mom was murdered four days after his birthday. “I watched you die, Barry. You kept dying, your heart kept stopping.” Barry got disintegrated trying to get his powers back, and everyone he loves saw this. Wally got disintegrated too btw, and then had to watch his mother die over and over in a time loop. Iris thinks she’s going to die for months and then someone sacrifices themself for her against her will. You can’t count the number of times all of these people have seen someone they care about in mortal danger. Barry manages to trace any and every horrible thing that happens back to his actions. “This was done TO ME.”

bc wdym cisco has a strained relationship with his family and sees wells as a father figure while wells sees cisco as a son and yet still shows no mercy for killing him

and cisco was so quick to defend wells when joe suspected him

thank GOD barry ran back in time because i would not have been able to survive watching caitlin finding cisco’s dead body in the star labs basement

at the same time i’ve always been curious about how the story would have gone had barry not gone back in time

Summary: Your boyfriend, Liam (secret), have been together for 5 months and have kept it from your dad. When Liam sneaks into your room as per usual, Cisco catches the two of you.

Your Dad wouldn't let you go out anywhere. Only school or star labs. One day, a boy in your class named Liam Dunbar invited you to a party.

Since that night, you and Liam have been hanging out and making your relationship official as boyfriend and girlfriend at school. Everyone knew you were his, and he was yours. Even the parents knew about your relationship. All except your dad, Cisco Ramon.

Liam knocked/threw stones at your bedroom window, as usual, so you opened your window, and he climbed up, sitting on the edge of the window. Being careful not to be too loud since your dad is already home.

"Hey, get dressed. We're going to the movies," Liam whispered, grinning a little. You let out a soft sigh as you glanced at him.

"Liam, I can't. My dad will kill me!" You state.

"Y/N, come on, please? We haven't been able to go out, just the two of us, for the past month because of my werewolf stuff." Liam begs, giving you a look that says, 'I need you in my arms', as he continues,

" I wanna be with you. Please?"

"Liam," You sighed again, giving in as you whispered,

"Okay, but only because I miss cuddling with you."

Liam let out a light-hearted chuckle. "I figured as much."

You smiled at him."Turn around, and don't you even think about looking."

He grinned as he turned around so you could change without him eyeing you. Liam turned his head a little, smiling, as he saw the back of your bra. You could feel his eyes on you, so you spoke, "Liam!"

That made him stop looking, although he didn't choose his words carefully, "But you're hot, how can I not look at you?"

You rolled your eyes as you continued to get dressed into something comfy, especially since it was a cold night. You finished getting dressed and heard a knock on your bedroom door.

"Shhhiit!" Liam muttered under his breath.

"Hide!" You whispered to him, opening your wardrobe so he could hide there. Opening the door, you say awkwardly, "Hi, Dad, what's up? Nothing weird's going on here!"

"Liam, are you decent?" Cisco asked, to which a 'Yeah' was heard in response. Cisco crossed his arms.

"Get your ass out here!"

Liam walked out of the wardrobe and sat on your bed next to you.

"Dad, don't overreact." You say.

"I'm not gonna overreact." Cisco scoffed as he spoke in a slightly high-pitched tone because of him being so shocked.

"You, you, you are dating my daughter? A-and you, you, you are, he's your, oh God!" Cisco says, pointing from you to Liam, looking between the both of you. Cisco then continued,

"Do Team Flash know about this? Did everyone know about this but me?!"

"Yes." You answered sheepishly. Boy, were you and Liam never gonna hear the end of this.

Caitlin Snow: you didn’t know?

Cisco Ramano: they are Barry. You’re too slow
