Note
did you have a coherent picture in your head when you read about the bone monsters, the one in the laboratory and the one that killed everyone? I was struggling tbh
my idea for the bone monster is like what if a T rex was quadruped with accessory bone-sword arms that didn't touch the ground and also a massive and very long prehensile tail and face spikes.
big thank you to Sue the Trex for being my bad photoshop model!!!!

also i couldn't resist making this meme:

Decided to try my hands at an extreamly creepy robot scratch build.
Made this lovely gal out of quite a few random bits and such, mainly based on finding the Eldar leg and then expanding in any way that felt right.

It just so happens my uncle and aunt’s dog had a skeleton costume…and I was dressed as Gideon.
Without further ado, I present…Gideon and the dog bone construct.

I hope The Locked Tomb never gets a live-action movie adaptation but I also hope that, if it ever does, they let Robert Pattinson loose on set until he freaks his way into one of the roles.

"But he wore a crown of office that you had not seen before: a wreath of ribbon and pearlescent leaves in his dark hair, rustling prismatically in the windless docking bay. Each leaf was intertwined with a match-sized infant fingerbone... The foetal fingerbones and leaves crowning his hair kept swaying in some nonexistent breeze." - Harrow the Ninth, chapter 6
I finished my interpretation of John's very chill and unconcerning hair accessory!
The leaves are actually large sequins, and the bones are sculpted from Fimo clay after a rather disconcerting time on PubMed looking at papers on the biometry of phalangeal growth in utero... (each leaf is 24mm, and the bones vary from 10-15mm)

Nikolai Lantsov Fashion: Royalty Edition
Nikolai still hovered in the doorway. He wore full military dress, a pale blue sash across his chest. The light from the parlor glinted off his medals and gilded the edges of his golden hair. He was playing the role of the polished prince tonight. But standing there, he just looked like a lonely boy who didn’t want to return to a party by himself.

y'all have eventually got to realize that kunikida's temper and attentiveness to his schedule aren't callousness, they're coping mechanisms. right. y'all have to eventually figure out that much over seasons + tens of chapters of him being so tender it would snap him in two if not for the order he's constructed around himself. y'all will inevitably pick up on that with how he approaches dazai and kyouka, especially, right? surely.

what i love about the locked tomb is the commitment to a necromantic society built around a false god’s original sin is the lack of horror in the idea of death. animated skeletons do daily tasks and people pray on finger bones of the people around them it’s totally natural. what’s horrifying is life, flesh magic and it’s pulsing living horror the moss and mold of canaan house is emphasized over and over as what makes it beautiful but also horrific all that grown out life

Short DPXDC Prompts #899
Jazz Fenton as a new Green Lantern, demonstrates her abilities infront of the other Earth Lanterns to show her progression in summoning constructs. She is incredibly proficient at it and her constructs are very strong. They do have one question though; Why does every construct have the word “Fenton ___” on it?

The Emerald Court of Eudaia is where all the greatest debates and musings of the world occur. The Philosophers spend every waking moment pondering the ultimate mysterious of life and the universe, and thus the Emerald Court is where one goes when looking for the wisest minds. Here, any and all topics are scrutinized, every single detail and possibility explored. Be it the question of what our purpose is, or trying to figure out the moral implications of new laws or possible proposals. When the Church of Divine Wealth had questions, the Emerald Court is where they went to get opinions. And it wasn't just the Church, as many sought out their wisdom. If grappling with a tough decision, why not ask some of the greatest minds around, whose entire mission is to pick apart such things and find the irrefutable answer? They were a valuable resource, but unfortunately not all could make the trip to visit the Emerald Court.
Having all your wisdom and Philosophers cooped up in a single campus made their services hard to reach for some, and the Philosophers knew they were wanted in many places at once. Thus they made options for their members to be called out to other locations, setting up smaller courts throughout the land. Like a shrine of the Church, this would be where outsiders could get their wisdom without having to make the long pilgrimage to the Emerald Court. Philosophers low and high enjoyed this option, as getting out of the campus and interacting with fresh minds was a good way to expand one's views. At these locations, they could meet many new people and be challenged with plenty of intriguing puzzles. Locals found these courts perfect for dealing with tough choices or trying to settle disputes. Such small fry was practically a game to High Philosophers, easily settled and solved within moments. However, there would be times that the problem was not so small and the consequences dire. When the big choices came up, ones that would affect entire cities or territories, they would need more than a single mind to tackle it. In such pressing times, the call would go out to the Emerald Court, and they would beg the brilliant thinkers to send them a Symposium.
A Symposium is very similar to the image of a High Philosopher that people know. A brain in a glass sphere, soaking in Phlegm, all hooked up to an intricate bone-bile exoskeleton. A Symposium is very much this, as the body itself is simply a more complicated and heavy duty bone-bile construct. The major difference here is that there is more than one brain hooked up to it. These entities are, in fact, walking debate parlors with the entire lineup hooked up to a single body. These constructs will have many arms to hold the spherical remains of High Philosophers, and their frame will be bolstered to handle such weight. Stores of Phlegm are built in, tapped in by clearvein that connects it to all the carried brains. It is through here that the Philosophers can speak to one another, and continue their debates even as they travel. The entire point of a Symposium was to bring a full team of High Philosophers to places where crucial decisions were being discussed. When the fate of many was resting on this single choice, you would want the full force of the Emerald Court helping you with it.
Symposiums, during the peaceful times, were already rare sights, only being deployed for the most important clients. Seeing one walking down the road would leave many in stunned awe. The way would be cleared so they could pass, as their presence suggested that there was pressing issues to attend. Symposiums would often be escorted by guards, to keep them safe from any fools who would get dumb ideas. However, these men with simple swords and spears were hardly for the safety of the Symposium. In fact, folk would suggest that they followed this ultra Philosopher frame to ward off people for their own safety. That was because this many High Philosophers in one place created a potent area of mental energy. Even without being hooked up to the amalgam, folks who got close to a Symposium could feel the words of the rambling Philosophers seep into their brains. It was said that it felt like your cranium had been filled with water, and your brain had been submerged in the deepest parts of the ocean. The voices would ebb and flow around you, making one feel as if they were going insane. Depending on how many Philosophers are attending the Symposium, being around them for too long can actually cause mental damage.
One infamous tale spoke of a duchess who had brought in a Symposium to help settle royal affairs. While precautions were taken during discussions to keep folks safe from the aura of the Symposium, there was an oversight when it came to off hours. The Symposium had been offered a room to stay in for the night, but it turned out to be stationed right below the duchess's own bed chambers. The aura was potent enough that it leaked into the room above, and saturated her slumbering mind throughout the night. The next morning, the staff found her a mumbling gibbering mess, her brain having been overwritten by the endless conversations and musings of the Philosophers below. Thus, to this day, folk are very mindful in steering clear of them and avoiding close contact for too long.
With this in mind, imagine what would happen if they decided you were a threat?
The mental power of a fully staffed Symposium has very few equals, easily able to obliterate the minds of common folk if driven to. On top of mental attacks, they can use telekinesis to perform incredible feats as well as wield Phlegm in great quantities. A single warrior against a Symposium would be turned to paste as the dozen minds attached tore him apart at the seams. Waves of Phlegm can wash foes away, while also weakening their minds to make them more susceptible. Folks would say that attacks on Symposiums are rare because these Philosophers exude an aura of pacifism as they travel. Those who approach with ill intentions will suddenly have these thoughts rewritten and they won't realize it til much later. When they pass by, fighting them will be the furthest thing from your mind, as it turns out you are currently incapable of even thinking of such things.
When the war broke out and the Emerald Court sealed its gates, the travelings of the Symposiums came to an end. Most remain in the Court, where they continue their debates as the world burns. People claim that Symposiums now patrol the halls and grounds like the High Philosophers do, stretching their non-existent legs while also keeping an eye out for intruders. Perhaps they are a part of the reason why no army has decided to attack this place. However, some claim that a few Symposiums left the Emerald Court before the gates closed for good. Some went out to try and "solve" this war, while others were defectors choosing a side in the conflict. Whichever the reason is, if you see a Symposium: approach with questions, not blades. One will get you answers, the other will get you mentally liquefied.

I want to do this anyway, and getting the aromantic tag trending is a good excuse, so here's my masterlist of aspec headcanons and canon characters (that I know of)!
Always Human (Webtoon):
Rae (aromantic and asexual) - canon, discussed in the media itself (link)
And Another Lovely Day (Webtoon):
Nora Chestnut (aroace) - canon, main character, discussed in the media itself
Elliot Lam (aroace) - canon, main character, discussed in media itself
AstralSounds (Webtoon, Website):
Resilient (aromantic) - canon, main character, confirmed in a bonus episode (link)
Yunni (asexual) - canon, main character, confirmed in a bonus episode (link)
Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra:
Toph Beifong (aromantic and acespec) - I really see her as thinking she has a crush on Sokka because she's never really been allowed to explore that before. But those thoughts die as quickly as they came. Later in life, she wants kids, but she really does not want a husband or long-term sexual relationship. She finds some people who are cool with that, and then raises her kids alone!
Deadloch:
Eddie Redcliffe (aroallo, romance favorable) - She just has aro vibes, okay? She does. I talked through it a bit in the comments on this post.
Dungeon Meshi (Manga Series, Anime Series):
Laios (non-sam aromantic) - I don't think he's even ever considered romance as a thing he would be interested in. Dating someone has simply never occurred to him. If someone asked him out it would certainly lead to a lot of thoughts.
Mithrun (loveless aromantic, romance indifferent) - I'm right and I know it. This unfortunately means I'm the only person who truly understands Kabru/Mithrun (/lh).
Every Heart a Doorway (Book):
Nancy (asexual) - canon, main character, discussed in the media itself
Fablehaven (Book Series):
Kendra Sorenson (asexual) - She makes one comment about "never going to the playground" in book one and I took that and ran with it
Seth Sorenson (aromantic) - I honestly just think it's fun to make one sibling aromantic and the other asexual
Gravity Falls (Cartoon Series):
Mabel Pines (aromantic) - I view Mabel's obsession with boys as playing into her own internalized amatonormativity and comphet. She'll be much happier once she realizes she doesn't actually want to date anybody (I also love the cupio and lesbian hcs, this is just my interpretation)
Dipper Pines (asexual) - once again, very fun to make one sibling aro and the other ace
Stanley Pines (aroallo) - vibes
Stanford Pines (aroace, non-partnering) - I mean the Book of Bill all but confirms this, right?
Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss (Cartoon Series):
Alastor (aromantic and asexual) - canon, main character, hinted at in canon, confirmed outside the source material (too complicated to link)
Angel Dust (asexual, sex favorable) - read a fic with this (no, I don't remember which one unfortunately) and it's compelled me ever since
Octavia (asexual) - canon, major character, confirmed outside the source material (link)
Mammon (asexual) - canon, confirmed outside the source material (link)
Marvel Comics/MCU (Comic Series, Movie Series, TV Series):
Daisy Johnson, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. show (aromantic, acespec) - vibes, but also I just don't see any chemistry between her and the people she dates on the show T-T
Ruby Hale, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. show (asexual) - canon, major character, confirmed outside the source materal (link)
Nadia Van Dyne/The Wasp, comics (aroace) - canon, confirmed outside the source material (link)
Yelena Belova, Black Widow movie, Hawkeye show, comics (aroace) - canon, confirmed in the source material (link)
Gwendolyn Poole/Gwenpool, comics (aroace) - canon, confirmed the source material (link)
Muted (Webtoon):
Silvia Severin (aroace) - canon, major character, confirmed in the source material (link)
Market Of Monsters (Book Series)/Not Even Bones (Webtoon):
Nita Sánchez (arospec and acespec) - Canon, main character, confirmed in the source material
Kovit Sangwaraporn (arospec and acespec) - Canon, main character, confirmed in the source material
Adair (aromantic) - Just how he talks about romance
Diana (aromantic) - Again, how she talks about romance
Protector of the Small (Book Series):
Keladry of Mindelan (aroace) - canon, main character, confirmed outside the source material (link)
Roar Howl Run (Website):
Ata (aroace) - canon, main character, confirmed in the source material
Seven Days in Silverglen (Webtoon):
Mira (arospec) - canon, main character, hinted at in the source material, confirmed outside the source material (link)
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (Cartoon Series):
Mermista (fluxromantic) - mostly vibes but also it just makes sense to me
Seahawk (fluxromantic) - same as with Mermista
Glimmer (aspec) - idk what she is but it is not alloallo
Bow (arospec and acespec) - I think it's fun for the arrow-ace characters to be aroaces
Entrapta (cupiorose) - I relate to her character a lot and as such I can stretch canon to make her aroace too
Steven Universe (Cartoon Series):
Peridot (aroace) - canon, hinted at in the source material, confirmed outside the source material
Amethyst (arospec, acespec) - saw someone say this once and I liked it
The Dragon Prince (Cartoon Series):
Rayla (aspec) - Once again, vibes. I saw both her and Callum this way all the way back in S1 and it hasn't died for me.
Callum (aspec) - Vibes, read above.
The Good Place (TV Series):
Eleanor Shellstrop (demiromantic) - she doesn't fall in love easily, because she doesn't connect with people easily. Her falling in love with Chidi multiple times is a huge deal for her.
Chidi Anagonye (demisexual) - I think it would be fun if he was demisexual and Eleanor was demiromantic
Tahani Al-Jamil (aroallo) - She really just seems unbothered by the romantic parts of her relationships in the show, and her arc ends up with her staying single.
Michael (aroace) - I know this because he told me personally
The Owl House (Cartoon Series):
Luz Noceda (asexual) - If you flip her outfit upside down it makes the asexual flag
Lilith Clawthorne (aroace) - canon, major character, confirmed outside the source material (link - I could not find the original)
Vespertine (Book):
Artemisia (aroace) - canon, main character, confirmed outside the source material (link)
