(Eddie Munson x F!reader) reader has long hair, mention of drugs.

"There are too many people out there,” Eddie said nervously, aimlessly pacing in the backstage for the fourth time, nearly colliding with the other band members who were getting ready to go on stage.

He wasn’t wrong; the Hideout had never been this crowded, and you were the one to thank (or to blame). You had invited Robin to come see Corroded Coffin play that night, and she had called Vickie, who in turn had invited some of her friends. While chatting with Robin, Nancy and Jonathan overheard and joined in (despite Nancy not seeming thrilled about “listening to four guys scream all night”), and Jonathan had invited his quirky friend visiting from California too, who brought along more friends.

In short, friends had invited more friends, and they, in turn, had invited others, making the place more packed than it had ever been.

Eddie’s dark curls bounced on his shoulders with each step, and his self-cropped Anthrax t-shirt, cut with kitchen scissors a few days prior, revealed a sliver of his stomach.

Jeff rolled his eyes and walked away. He wasn’t ready to hear Eddie give the same speech for the fifth time in half an hour.

“Eddie, can you stop for a moment?” you got up from the old armchair where you’d been sitting since they let you into the backstage area that evening.

You grabbed a drumstick Gareth had left on the table and used it to secure your hair into something that was supposed to be a messy bun. It was a habit you’d picked up a few weeks ago, and you were pretty sure your drummer friend was starting to hate you for it.

"Eddie,” you repeated his name when you reached him, placing your hands on his arms to stop him. “It's gonna be okay.”

He let out a long sigh, wondering if you were aware that your touch alone could calm him in seconds, more effectively than hundreds of words ever could. When your hands returned to your sides, he already missed that contact.

He stared at you for a moment, his brown eyes filled with insecurity. “No,” he shook his head.

“Eds, you need to stay calm. They’ll like you, and-”

“Sweetheart, no one likes us. You’re the only person who claps every time we play here.”

“Because the other times, there wasn’t enough audience! This time will be different, trust me.”

“The last time I played in front of so many people, I was in middle school, and the whole school laughed at me. I’m not ready to experience that again.”

Eddie saw how your expression softened and worried at the same time, and he almost wished he hadn’t said it.

He ran a hand through his hair, disheveling it even more than his quick pacing had already done. “God, I really need a joint right now.”

You let out a little laugh at that comment, and one corner of Eddie’s lips involuntarily lifted. The sound of your laughter always made him happier.

“No, all you need is a friend who tells you that you’ll rock it and that everything will be fine. And I’m here now, telling you that.” You stood on tiptoe to fix a stray curl.

“Trust me, please?” When you looked at him like that he couldn't help but believe you, or at least try. You always believed in him.

"Okay."

You smiled. God, you were so pretty and he had been so anxious that night that he hadn't even remembered to tell you.

"Okay?"

"Okay." He repeated, more confident this time.

Somewhere behind you you heard Jeff shout. "Five minutes and we're on stage!"

“Fuck.” Eddie sighed.

"Eddie. Eds, look at me. You have to promise me two things before you go out there. I'm serious."

Eddie remained silent, nodding slightly.

"The first is that whatever people do, think or say, you have to remember that it won't define you. I know who you are. I know what you're worth. I don't give a shit about them. A shit. Zero. Nada."

Eddie chuckled. "Second thing?"

"Second thing is, when you're famous you'll let me come on tour with you."

Eddie laughed, for real this time. Those dimples that you loved so much have appeared on his face. "You said you were serious!"

"Oh and I am! One hundred percent!"

Eddie, still laughing, placed his hand over his heart, as if swearing a solemn oath. "I promise on my honor."

"Okay, I'm happy now."

"I wouldn't go anywhere without you anyway. You're pretty much an integral part of the band now. I planned on kidnapping you in case I ever left town but you make things a lot easier now."

"Well, I guess you won't need it."

"Two minutes!" Jeff shouted.

"I think I have to go now."

You nodded, a smile still on your lips.

"C'mere." He quickly said before wrapping an arm around your waist, pulling you against his chest in a hug.

You inhaled his scent for a few seconds, it was smoke and cheap beer, like all the other times. For you, there was nothing better.

After a moment, you slightly pulled away but his hand was still on your back, as if he wasn't ready to let you go, and you found yourself looking into his chocolate brown eyes trying to figure out what was happening.

His gaze wasn't on your eyes though. It seemed like your mouth had caught his attention.

When you realized his lips were so close to yours that you could feel the heat of his breath on your skin, a voice interrupted the moment.

You cleared your throat as Eddie took a step back.

"My drum stick!" Gareth repeated, a bit of frustration but also amazement because of what he had just seen in his voice, moving his gaze between the two of you.

"Fuck, you're right." You murmured, pulling it out of your hair and handing it to him. You had completely forgotten about it.

Gareth looked at his friend. "Are you coming with us or you two want to get a room?"

"Yes, no, I mean. I'm coming, fuck, I mean. I'm ready. All ready. Yes. Ready."

You giggled when you saw a light shade of red on his cheeks.

"I'll be cheering for you in the front row, you know that."

"I know. Thank you sweetheart."

He looked at you one last time before following Gareth onto the stage.

You stood there for a second. Wondering what the hell just happened.

Then you left the backstage.

But what would be the other reactions to them?? At first they don’t say anything about their dimension, dying to know the new one. But after a while they end up opening up and telling them from the adoption to the court problem and what their bio parents did.

Fearless was seriously considering asking Brainstorm for a radar to detect where these random interdimensional portals would pop up.

For their sake and for the sake of their now crushed spine.

At least this time they were human.

The new human quickly got off Fearless’s back looking slightly panicked.

Fearless sits up, slightly groaning from the pain in their back. Fearless: “Hey kid, calm down, you’re safe here.” The kid looks around slightly frantic: “Am I on the Lost Light?” Fearless raises their eyebrow: “Yeah? You must be from a universe that also has a Lost Light.” The human looks at them confused: “What do you mean ‘universe’?” Fearless: “Before that, what’s your name? I’m Fearless.” The other human’s eyes widen a bit: “Fearless?” Fearless: “Yeah, not my Earth name. Haven’t used that name in a while. Its more—” The human smiles: “—a nickname that just stuck?” Fearless: “Yeah, I’m assuming that you got one too?” The human nods: “Whirl gave me the nickname Dratchet.” Fearless smiles widely: “Whirl gave you a name too!” Dratchet smiles back. Maybe this wasn’t going to be too bad…

Things were much smoother in explaining the interdimensional portals.

Mainly because Dratchet had been studying portals with Brainstorm a few days ago.

Fearless immediately wanted to show Dratchet around the ship.

Dratchet was bouncing around happily at the proposal wanting to know everything about this universe and how it was different from their own.

Strange enough, it took a while for anyone to notice that there was another human on board.

Mainly because Whirl found out about the new human and insisted carrying the pair in his cockpit.

He also wanted to see how long it would take for someone to notice the human.

It lasted for a good two hours before whirl got bored and decided to give the new human a proper dramatic entrance.

At Swerve’s…

Whirl marches up to the booth where Megatron is. He looks up. Megatron: “Whirl, do you need something?” Whirl: “Yes, the child support.” Megatron: “What?” Whirl pops open his cockpit revealing Fearless and Dratchet, both who smile and wave happily. Whirl: “Say hello to your new kid!” Dratchet looking up at him. Dratchet: “Megs isn’t my dad Whirl. Wrong mechs.” Megatron finally processes that there is a new human. Megatron sighs defeatedly: “A portal?” Fearless: “A portal.”

Surely after that the entire bar moved in to get a look at the new human.

Dratchet was having the time of their life meeting these alternate versions of their family.

Spouting stories from their universe while also listening in on the stories from this universe.

Whirl: “Hey tiny.” Dratchet looks up at Whirl. Dratchet: “Yeah? What’s up?” Whirl: “You mentioned earlier that Megatron here wasn’t your dad. So… how is it?” Dratchet smirks. Dratchet: “Why don’t you guess?” They glance over at Drift and Ratchet before looking back at the crowd. Dratchet: “Any guess? Anyone?” Riptide: “Brainstorm and Perceptor.” Dratchet gives him a look. Dratchet: “No.” Pipes: “Thunderclash and Rodimus.” *Faint sounds of Rodimus puking in the background* Dratchet looks slightly appalled: “What? No! You know what, don’t try and guess--”  Nightbeat: “Ratchet and Drift.” Dratchet: “…” They look over at the pair and shyly wave. Drift was the first to make a move and walks over followed by Ratchet. Drift: “So, you’re our…” Dratchet: “I’m your kid, yeah—” Drift lifts them up and pulls them into a hug turning to Ratchet. Drift: “We have a kid!” Ratchet lets out a soft smile and nods. Tailgate nudges at the detective: “How did you—” Nightbeat: “Their name is a mix of their own. It was obvious.”

After the reveal, Dratchet tells the crew about how they became Drift and Ratchet’s kid and the emotional rollercoaster of what happened when they returned to Earth.

On a day that was supposed to be full of fun, turn to one to decide the future custody of the child.

Drift and Ratchet did tense a bit hearing the tale of the court room.

Of course, Dratchet wasn’t their kid, but they also couldn’t imagine what was going through their counter parts helms when they were in that court room.

The pair had their fair share of parenting with Fearless, but they couldn’t imagine having a kid of their own.

Maybe in the future?

Who knows when you’re traveling on the Lost Light.

Dratchet does make it clear that if their presence does bother the pair to let them know.

It backfires and now Dratchet is spending most of their time with their parents’ alternatives.

It pains the pair to say goodbye to the kid when they have to leave, but they can also imagine the near hysteria their counterparts must been trying to find their kid after a few days.

In Dratchet’s universe…

Dratchet lands on top of a sleeping Rodimus. Rodimus jolts up nearly knocking the human off his chassis. He quickly catches them before they hit the ground. Rodimus: “Dratchet?!” Dratchet smiles as they are pulled into the captains’ chassis. Rodimus: “Where have you been?! We’ve been search all over the ship for you!” Dratchet: “Well there was this—HEY!” Rodimus jumps out of his berth, transforms and starts speeding off while Dratchet was clutching onto their seatbelt for dear life. Dratchet: “RODDY! SLOW DOWN!” Rodimus making several quick turns. He stops in front a familiar habsuite door. He transforms, holding Dratchet in one servo and begins knocking on the door with much urgency. Drift is at the door with a sword in his servo. Drift: “Rodimus! What in Primus’s name are…” He looks at Dratchet in his friend’s servo waving. Dratchet: “Hey Drift.” A small noise creeps from Drift’s voicebox as he drops his sword. Ratchet comes from behind him. Ratchet: “Drift what—Dratchet? Dratchet!” Ratchet reaches over and gets the small human in his servos, holding them close to his chassis. Dratchet tries and gives him the biggest hug they could. Drift: “Where did you find them?” Rodimus shrugs: “They literally fell on my chassis.” Dratchet yawning: “I’ll explain everything after a nap, yeah?” All three mech nod. Rodimus returns to his room as Drift closes the door. Ratchet is look around for any injuries. Dratchet hugs his digit: “I’m fine Ratchet.” The medic huffs as he settles back in the berth. Drift follows closely and places a servo over them. Drift: “You have some explaining to do kiddo.” Dratchet yawns and rest on the pair’s servos. Dratchet: “Later… Sleep now…” And with that all three of them went into a peaceful sleep.

Say, which characters in HB and HH do you hate the most character wise and then design wise

OHHH MAN i could write an entire video essay about this topic lmao, let me try to be as brief as possible

Hazbin - Worst Character: This one's hard, there are a few characters who probably suck but I just don't know that much about them. But based on what I know now, honestly…? Charlie. Coinsidering that… I think Faustisse?… confirmed that she's over 200 years old, the sheer level of naivete on her part is just annoying and unbelievable. She's over twice as old as Alastor, she should not be swayed so easily by him. As far as I'm aware she's not in a Disney Princess situation where she was shut inside the castle walls her entire life (PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong on that though) so there's no reason why she shouldn't be at least a little savvy to the ways of sinner demons. She should also have been able to see the VERY OBVIOUS SIGNS that Vaggie used to be an exorcist. Even Carmilla comments that it's super fuckin obvious; the Princess of Hell herself should be knowledgeable enough to pick up on hints that even the fandom picked up on when it was just the pilot. Overall, Charlie just comes across as kinda stupid imo. I don't find myself rooting for her at all.

Hazbin - Worst Design: Alastor. I know he may not necessarily look the worst, and I do in fact simp for him, but his design does absolutely NOTHING that a character design is supposed to do. Namely, it doesn't tell us anything about him & it doesn't help him stand out from the cast. Nothing about his design is uniquely 1930s (nobody wore their hair like that, pinstripe suits started in the 1800s and continue to be popular today, monocles were more of an 1800s thing and were considered old-fashioned by the 30s) or deer-esque (his ears really do not look like dear ears at all, and his "antlers" are just microscopic salad forks that don't even show up on his silhouette). The whole Voodoo thing, aside from being super disrespectful to a literal religion that is still actively practiced, is also so inconsequential to his character that it can be removed entirely and change NOTHING about him. Any of his traits that are in line with the Voodoo thing can still exist without it -- him being a trickster and a dealmaker, mostly. All the blacklight stuff doesn't match his aesthetic at all: in Princess and the Frog where everything was 1920s it gave a magic effect, but in Hazbin where all different time periods comingle it just gives a raver effect, which doesn't fit his anti-modern preferences at all. Also the living-shadow thing is yet another direct ripoff from Dr. Facilier (that might just be in the pilot though I'm not sure), I think the living microphone is a better route to take if you want him to have a spiritual companion type of thing; it's more relevant to his theming and more original. And of course none of this even touches on the "he's half-black" bullshit excuse that only came after V*v received backlash about the Voodoo thing. And it doesn't even solve the issue anyway. A mixed-race man from the 1930s would make for a very interesting character IF that unique experience/identity was actually integrated into his character in any noticeable way, but it's not. It was just slapped on at the last minute. Ugh. I could write an entire essay about Alastor alone tbh.

Helluva - Worst Character: Fizzarolli, but mostly when he was first introduced. Aesthetically he's the closest thing that I have to a "blorbo" in this show, but in the Ozzie's episode he just gave me the most rancid vibes ever. Definitely a "asexuality doesn't exist, you just haven't been with ME yet~" type of person. Admittedly that's more of a personal preference thing and less of a poor characterization; they're in the Lust ring, that type of attitude is kind of expected. What IS poor characterization, however, is his "development" later on when he and Ozzie basically get their own arc. His entire personality changes to be much softer and like…. idk, very obviously a trauma VICTIM and not so much of a potential trauma CAUSER? His character is not nearly as abrasive, but there's no corresponding event that would cause such a change. It just seems like now that he's supposed to be a sympathetic character, they changed his personality to be more appealing. He's not nearly as mean and rude as he used to be. Ozzie has a similar thing going on but it's not quiiiiite as severe, and he's saved from being the Worst by having a far more interesting and unique design. (If you had asked who I think has the BEST design in Helluva, I'd probably say Ozzie.)

Helluva - Worst Design: Beelzebub, no contest. A lot of people seemed to have a problem with her being bee-themed instead of fly-themed like the real Beelzebub in demonology, but that honestly doesn't bother me; I'm not expecting any Hellaverse stuff to be super accurate to The Real Lore so any tiny reference they can slip in (like with Ozzie's design) is just gravy. To me, bee and fly are close enough, I think it counts as a reference. Plus, the bee theme goes well with Gluttony ("nectar" is a common synonym for delicious food) and calling her Queen Bee is an easy way to make her name more appealing/sexy than, yknow. "Beelzebub." What DOES bother me is her canine aspect. Why is she a sparkledog? What is the logic behind that? Why isn't she huge-by-default like Ozzie and Mammon? (You'd think GLUTTONY of all sins would be a big character!) It really just feels like V*v wanted Ke$ha to have a cameo role as a major character and just arbitrarily picked one of the sins for her to be. So the character design has Ke$ha in mind faaaaar more than it has Beelzebub in mind. ***(Funny thing about Queen Bee: for a solid week after her episode came out, I was actually fooled by this page from an RP wiki: [https://hazbin-hotel-and-helluva-boss-rp.fandom.com/wiki/Beelzebub] The explanation that I'd gleaned for this version of her is that the picture shown is the REAL Beelzebub, and the one we see in the show is her daughter by the lord of Hellhounds, Cerberus, which explains her canine features. Queen Bee Jr. is the heiress to her mom's title in the same way Charlie is the heiress to Lucifer's title. The picture shown on that page is just SUCH a better design, and it looks like the show's style, and she seems to be a giant like Ozzie and Mammon…. can you blame me for being like "OH that makes sense!!" Cut to me a week later finding out this is just a fan RP wiki. Siiiigh.)

I’ve taken a deeper dive today analyzing the DM pics (I have a job, who even have I become 😩), and the pics were taken in 2 different locations - after party and wherever they went to next. If you look at the tiles on the ground they are different. Also, the pics on DM’s website at the second location appear to be out of order, probably purposely so. And this makes this whole thing all the more suspect.

In the afterparty location, L walks ahead of A and L’s sister and then outside, where Tifaine says he went straight to them to greet them, and A went to the car. This is shown in the first few pics.

At the second location, L walks ahead of A and stops to sign something from a fan. A stands right beside him as the photos are being taken. Then, this is where it gets strange. The next couple pics are L walking into the building (restaurant, hotel, who knows) and A is behind him. L’s security isn’t even looking at A and she looks like she stumbled or something going in the door behind him. HOWEVER, I think those pics are out of order and were taken after the last few pics which seem to show A catching up with L and trying to hold his hand while he is not really having it (the last pic is the most his fingers bend to meet hers). You can see the entrance to the building ahead of them on the left, whereas the previous couple pics they are already going in the door. Seems L was walking ahead of A towards the entrance, she tries to catch up to hold his hand but fails, because then he is walking in the door ahead of her again and security isn’t even looking at her.

Not proud of that deep dive haha. BUT, L doesn’t look exactly enthusiastic, didn’t hold her hand and in fact looks like after she tried, he pulled away and walked ahead of her again. Suspect.

DM is claiming that the pics are from the hotel and that’s what the paps told her. Okay, well they’re clearly not. So, who called the paps? DM claims the paps showed up to the hotel on their own bc Luke is a hot ticket. And no other Bridgerton cast is? Why did the paps show up at the after party right when L was leaving? How did they know to be there at that moment? And why would they follow L to a second location? DM is going so hard claiming this all just happened by happenstance. Ridiculous.

Someone called the paps. From the pics, it looks like L did not want that interaction to happen. A looked very pleased that it was happening (in both locations). But, we are told that she wouldn’t have the clout to call paps out to a location. Someone in the industry on TT said often the women in a couple call paps and go to People with a story. I’d like to think A didn’t call them, but given the few weeks between premieres (plus the conveniently leaked and edited videos of N and A hugging at the NY premiere), I really think it’s possible she did. There are 2 other options: 1) Luke/his people called the paps or 2) Some 3rd party who is trying to sabotage Luke.

I can’t wrap my mind around Luke’s motive to call the paps on premiere night, especially seeing the (not) hand holding pics. He didn’t want that interaction to take place. I would totally think differently if he walked side by side with A or held her hand or even looked at her, but he didn’t. He also had pursed lips and looked a bit stressed. Those pics showed he interacted with 2 sets of fans while A lurked around him, then tried and failed to catch up with him.

Could a 3rd party other than L or A have called the paps? I guess that’s possible and adds a whole other layer to this. But, either way, DM manipulated the order of those pics, probably in order to tell the story she’s trying to sell, and is now going very hard at defending herself while claiming neither L or A were involved.

Since I found this story a month ago it’s been living in my head rent free. Usually with romance options I can pick my favourite pretty fast but this time I like all the characters so much and I have so many conflicted feelings between them all, whenever I read the demo again end up flirting with everyone cause I don’t know what else to do.

Can I just say though that the more I read about R I get the feeling they’re kind of just a killer looking for an excuse, like I know it’s still early and we don’t know them that well but they really don’t seem like a good person. That also makes me question what kind of people I and T are for going along with it for so long. Part of me really wants to see drama based on that. An MC trying to romance I or T or maybe even Morgan, but their association to R getting in the way, not specifically jealousy just R being R and it pushing the MC away from the team.

I just cannot wait to read what happens next I feel like I’m going feral.

I believe readers have the right to interpret characters in their own way, so it's totally fine if you feel that way about R.

But if you'd like to know my opinion…

To me, R doesn't feel like that at all, although you're right that they're not a good person.

Honestly, none of the ROs are, especially if you look at everything from an outsider's perspective rather than the MC's.

Plus, supernaturals have a different outlook on connections and life in general, and there's always something behind their attitude towards certain things, so it's never about being "crazy" or "bad" just because.

Considering the circumstances surrounding them (particularly the main cast), seemingly violent methods don't seem that extreme to most of them anymore.

Of course, all of them have different feelings about that: some hate it and some, like R, are able to enjoy it more than they should.

I think it's more a question of whether the reader can understand the perspective of the chosen RO and move forward with them despite everything.

OH MY GOD ?

Warning: potential season 4 spoiler ahead and if you click on the link in the 'ask.'

This little snippet of 'something' a nice anon sent me is said to be from an image hosting service site called imgbb, but it was posted for us to find on Reddit. When I opened the link above, this message was all there was to see, and it wouldn't let me copy it directly, so I had to type it out and all that it is very interesting.

It reads:

~'Klaus, always the wild card, opens a wellness center to help others coping with loss, masking his own deep-seated fears. Viktor, embracing his new normal, tries to build a quiet life but is haunted by echos of his past power.'~

The comments under this short hint of what is to come (maybe in the first episode of season 4) imply that it was put on the hosting site by someone with 'advanced access' to an article (in what publication, I have no idea because it didn't say) saying they had the ability to get it because of their job. (Cool job, I'd say). They also said they have images to go with this spoiler but couldn't share them until the article releasees.

Screaming mystery here!!! 😂 I love it.

This short paragraph, that I assume has more with it, makes me wonder, not only about this small glimpse of Klaus and Viktor's world's since we last saw them, but if this supposed article will also have small shares about the rest of our favorite siblings. I hope so. Then we can start checking off our theories on our TUA bingo cards.

Like the only other person who commented on this so far when I looked, I would not have guessed a wellness clinic from Klaus, but it does make sense being he knows first-hand from both sides of death what it's like to be there and grieve all that is the loss of life. He lost so much when he lost Dave, and he also knows from all the ghosts how shitty they feel about dying. This, wellness center, being he made it to help the living side of that equation is really full circle stuff for Klaus.

I am not sure how it will fit with this idea out there that Klaus is now a germophobe, but I love to see that he's doing something so positive and probably staying clean too.

But what are his deep-seated fears??

How is helping others in this way 'masking' his fears?

Maybe Klaus is scared of dying now that he can? He of any of them you would think wouldn't be scared of death because he's seen the afterlife and every time he's been there, to me it didn't look that bad or that he was trouble by it that much. And what if Dave were there with him? Wouldn't that be good?

But maybe it's more than Klaus is scared dying. Maybe he is simply scared of living now that his mind is clear of all the voices and his body is clear of the drugs. It could be that with this wellness center, he is just trying to fill a void that the dead that had always been there had once occupied in him whether he wanted them to or not. One could guess that his head space is a very different now in season 4 now that they are silent, and it's all very complicated for him to navigate. Could be making him paranoid and all sorts of other things-like becoming hyper aware of germs and things that never were on his radar before.

With Viktor, I felt the trailer gave us the most insight into what he'd been doing with the bartending thing, and him seemingly going about life, trying to make ends meet and all that good shit, just like he always did before Reginald died, Five came back, his powers turned back on, and his whole world got turned upside down and then ripped away.

I'm not shocked that Viktor would be able to function normally, because he out of any of the Hargreeves grew up with the idea in his head that he was normal. He didn't spend his childhood training to be a superhero. He learned a major skill as a musician and probably many other useful things other than how to take down potential threats and best his siblings.

But.... What echos of Viktor's past 'power' are haunting him?

To me, the thing that stands out and might matter the most, is the fact that this specifically says the word 'power.' It's not saying he is haunted by love lost (Sissy or Harlan). It's also not saying he is haunted by past traumas, like Reginald isolating him as a child, his family ignoring his existence and also locking him in a isolation cell, Allison basically killing the person that was in many ways a child he cared about as if it was his own (Harlan), the list goes on and on.

Why it says 'echoes of his power are haunting him,' makes me wonder if it is more about something much bigger, like that the powers he was born with aren't totally gone and he can feel them!!! Wouldn't that be huge?

Reginald used his time re-boot machine to create a new timeline based on what he wanted life to be, but it got interrupted by Allison. Their powers appeared to be fueling this thing as they were stripped painfully from them, but can you really take something away that you are born with? Especially if the process didn't have time to fully drain them....🤯

That could mean, the power is still lurking in all of them. I think it is and I have used that idea in 3 different fan fics. I am thinking that the bit in the trailer with Diego getting put into some kind of machine (maybe by Reginald) all so his power comes back, is probably more to help pull the power back to the surface. So, what I am saying is, I don't' think it's gone-in any of them and all that happening is because shit is hitting the fan, and they need to re-fire up their go-go juice asap or they are all going die.

Again, back to Viktor and this little mind boggling paragraph...

Maybe Viktor is feeling the power still there and the others aren't?

Maybe that is what that message means?

Maybe that is because his power is the power to manipulate sound waves (I think anyway-I'm not an expert on this superpower stuff) and it is sort of resonating within him. Viktor would be very in tuned to that sensation, whereas the others may not notice it. Also, Viktor has the added weight of feeling responsible for the first apocalypse, so that alone would be a haunting thing, something lingering in the back of his mind. Just itching at his nerves making him wonder...

"Could it happen again? Could something in me lash out and take away everything?"

He'd want to move on, but how could he with that heavy shit?

If I could, I sit down at Viktor's bar, order a strong vodka lemonade, give him a kind smile followed by a very, very generous tip, and offer to simply chit-chat about anything and everything he was willing to talk about. He needs a friend.

The message that came out from the Reddit source says that Viktor is trying to lead a 'quiet' life. I get that, and why he'd want that, but it makes me sad for him too.

Viktor always led a quiet life. I personally want to see him dance on top of the tabletops, maybe embarrassingly hit his head on the ceiling fan (a good friend of mine has done that👍), fall down, and get back up again to the raucous applause of a nice gathering of his truest friends that love him for all that he is, even his many justified demons.

Viktor deserves healing and peace and a life without fear.

They all do.

Goultard's "reincarnations"

In the World of Twelve, we know of many different characters who have reincarnations. Whether they have 9 lives and keep their memories with every reincarnation like ecaflip's sons, or whether they are immortal but lose their memories at every rebirth like most eliatropes and dragons of the council.

Goultard is sort of an anomaly. Although he calls this process "reincarnation", there is no rebirth involved.

Goultard : We were friends in one of my reincarnations, and i remember i had a lot of fun with you.

We know Goultard has died before. Probably many times. But (as far as i'm aware) we only know of two specific times. One in the Dofus manga and one in Wakfu.

When goultard dies, his body simply... stays dead, until it has the time to regenerate. Goultard uses a specific word to speak of this regeneration : "recompose" himself. As in the opposite of "decompose", "putting himself back together". And he can apparently also absorb things inside him during this process???

Goultard : I must have accidentally absorbed you when I recomposed myself

In volume 5, we see Goultard die, or more accurately, we see Vald die, since at this time Vald is the one controlling the body that they share.

Vald was at the wrong place at the wrong time, got caught in a scheme that didn't concern him, and paid the price anyway. He was drugged, and his body cut in two at the waist.

Vald : No... Not... like this... I can't die... like... this...

Shortly after, the body has come back together, and Goultard makes his first appearance.

Goultard : Unfortunately for you, the plan wasn't perfect! / Homar's minion : What? Who the hell are you? / Goultard : My name is Goultard, little maggot, behold my darkness...

Goultard : ... For it is the last thing you will ever see.

I have SO MUCH to say about the way Gou's introduced in the manga but that's for another post.

Note : Goultard later "survives" similar or worse injuries. Since Vlad and Vald are said to be less powerful than Gou, i think we can imagine they're also less resistent to injuries than he is. He gets brutally impaled on the Cornu's fist in volume 17, but stays conscious and keeps trying to fight even with a giant hole in his abdomen.

Cornu Mollu : I have to admit you're taking a long time to die, it commands respect.

Not dying means his body has a harder time regenerating by itself, and he requires medical attention to recover. (Arty needs it too they both got demolished in that fight)

In Wakfu s01e22 Rubilax, we learn that Goultard is dead when Tristepin visits his tomb and starts to talk about what his life has been like since they parted ways.

I assume Goultard dying was the very reason they parted ways and Tristepin started adventuring on hiw own.

We have no clue what killed Goultard or for how much time he's been dead. But Tristepin is still young, and i dont think he's been on his own (with Rubi) for very long. I'd say two years at MOST.

But Goultard wakes up and says, although he was dead, he's not anymore, so really, there's no reason to worry or even ask. And they never mention it again after that.

I've seen multiple people say Goultard faked his death. I would tell them to rewatch the episode because this really does not look fake to me.

Goultard coming back from the dead exactly at the moment tristepin needed him is not a coincidence, to me it shows that goultard's "reincarnation" is at least partly a conscious decision. He could have simply stayed dead but decided otherwise.

In the Dofus manga special-issue Les Shushus de Rushu, while he is enchained and imprisoned, we can see that Goultard can sleep for years on end, entering a sort of hibernation/meditation.

Kiki : When are you going to wake up and take care of your wives? / Azra : You've been sleeping for years, it's time to get up! Wake up Goultard!

I think him dying is similar to this. To him, choosing to stay dead instead of regenerating and waking up is like staying in bed and oversleeping.

In volume 27, Goultard himself implies he doesn't know if he can die permanently.

Goultard : First of all, nobody knocked me out.... We don't even know if that's possible.

When he's dead, does his spirit go where all other spirits go when they die? No way to know. But my guess would be to say no. Since he laughed hearing Tristepin's stories, it means even dead he's somewhat conscious of what's going on around him. Maybe like a ghost?

Is he, in a way, like a walking corpse, already dead but kept alive by magic? This feels kind of puella magi madoka magica to me, but I obviously can't explain what i mean without majorly spoiling puella magi madoka magica.

Lizzington shippers, fam, grandmas and grandpas, can I have a moment of your attention, please?

It's not a secret that, while some people in Lizzington community are still active, whether they write or make gifs or keep our dash full of Lizzington even in this trying times ( @melbob26-blog, thank you for this! ), Lizzington community as a whole went into hibernation over the last couple of years.

And I get it, interests change, especially when one show ends and there's another ongoing, moving on from the show that ended is totally natural, especially when it didn't give your favorite characters the happy ending they deserved.

I get it.

Hell, for a pretty lengthy while there I focused on other ships and shows, too, especially after TBL ended ended last year.

But you know what I realized earlier today, when I reread some of the old fics, browsed through gifsets and text posts, watched some fanvids?

It's the show that ended, for some in 2021, for others in 2023. And the only thing that means is that it cannot disappoint us anymore.

( it's not like we were suddenly deprived of quality content, because let's face it, the fans have been the main source of the quality lizzington content for years now, while the show gave us mere crumbs, on a good day )

But Red and Liz?

They are still out there, fighting criminals, catching Blacklisters, travelling the world, shamelessly flirting, toppling shadow organizations, raising Agnes and/or any other children they have, and generally being the sexy badass power couple they are!

Nothing changed in that regard.

So why would we mourn them, when they are out there, healthy and happy and in the middle of yet another adventure? I'm sure right this moment Red is drawing Liz into another one of his heists and she's only too happy to join him, even though she pretends that she's not, for the sake of the game.

There's literally no reason for us to stop writing, giffing, editing, sharing theories and headcanons and memes and just talking about our favorite couple.

And by writing all of this, I want to propose something daring to you:

Let's revive the Lizzington community!

Let's rewatch earlier seasons and gif the hell out of them because it's been a while and because precious moments between these two are not going to become less precious even if it's giffed 10 or 100 more times, not to mention that ever gifmaker's style is different, so there are virtually no two identical gifsets as there are no two identical snow flakes.

Let's make fanvideos, picspams, picture edits, fanart, moodboards! The amount of songs, quotes, moments etc that can inspire you is virtually endless!

Let's write fics, let's explore AUs, let's give each other prompts and challenge each other to try something new or practice some aspect of writing, like writing kisses or AUs or hugs or making up Blacklisters etc!

Let's share headcanons and theories and ideas and what our versions of Red and Liz are like, because everyone has their own unique versions of Red and Liz living in their head, and it's just beautiful, if you ask me!

"It seems I must have finally taught you how to properly steep tea over those decades." (Odile comments with a smirk, watching you carefully pour from the kettle into each of your teacups.)

"It only took me 5 of those years to make a decent cup~."

"... The fact I can't tell if that's a joke or not is more concerning than anything else..." (You let out a heavy chuckle at her somewhat worried look. You stick your tongue out a give an exaggerated wink.)

"And it still doesn't count as a wink if you only have one eye Siffrin..."

"You've been telling me that for 30 years Odile, it never sticks~." (She just rolls her eyes as she adds a bit of honey and milk to her tea.)

"Speaking of… How are you doing Siffrin, truly?"

"… I think you already know the answer to that question, Madame" (You tease with the lightest chuckle, though it's bittersweet.)

"I suppose I do, though it would still be nice to hear you say it properly." (You pause for a second, before letting out a sigh.)

"… I don't really know anymore… I guess I'm better than I was the first time around at this point, the first few weeks were really rough for me… It's nice to make some better memories to replace it… But those bad times were still important too…" (You start to explain, your hand wrapping around your covered forearm, as if for emphasis.)

"Those moments helped get you to where you are now… It may have been a painful journey but it was just as important as the destination." (Odile finishes the thought for you, her arms crossed as she gets lost in her own thoughts.)

"… Yeah… I know you don't want me to apologize again for what I said on that last day… So I'll just say thanks Odile, for trusting me with your oh so sacred backstory~." (You laugh. Your eye starts to blur from the tears welling up in it before you wipe them away. Odile just smirks a bit at your comment before rolling her eyes.)

"So, what do you intend then? Should I move in with you and Isabeau and stay on the couch forever?" (She asks with a smirk. Your lip curls a bit in response, but quickly falls again.)

"I mean it, Odile..." (She pauses at that, sighing out as she realizes how serious you were.)

"... Very well, Siffrin, I promise I'll keep this in mind... We've got a long road ahead of us until that but maybe things will be different this time around. That's what you're hoping for, yes?"

"In some ways I guess... I mean, these loops have to be for something, right?..."

"Maybe we should be focusing on that right now instead."

"Yeah... I guess you're right." (She suddenly walks over and lifts your hat off, ruffling your hair heavily.)

"You might have some years on me now, but you still overthink just the same." (The both of you laugh the seriousness of the conversation off, finishing up your little trip.)

You said something about "do I over judge Tommy". In regards to the age difference.. and I just wanted to add this perspective. I would never accept him as end game because I ship Buddie. But in 4, I actually did think he was cute at the end. I did have to let go of that in general I do not like unconcentual lip locks no matter your orientation. But like the mouth static ext.. I didn't hate it......

But then we are clearly told the Tommy we saw, and to be clear, we really didn't see him until the end of the episode, the whole of the episode revolved around Buck watching Eddie.. Well, that was all from Bucks tinted glasses. Tim made sure we knew this. So, from episode 5 and on, we see the actual Tommy. I don't feel bad for judging him because it was an absolute personality flip. He seems disinterested in actually courting or charming Buck. He has no new relationship energy vibe in regards to Buck. There is no excitement to his vibe. So me personally, I don't judge my reaction to the daddy joke because it lines up. He thinks Buck is hot and just wants a sexual relationship with someone pretty and younger. I don't get why that opinion can be controversial. It's all I saw. The show made no attempt to show a deeper connection. Or the fact that in the beginning, when he is hanging out with Eddie that he has any interest in Buck. I mean, they could have given me a scene of "Hey, you should invite Buck along," from him to Eddie. But they actively didn't. So why should I invest more into a pairing? The show clearly doesn't so why should I?

Yk, I even added hater to my description just because I got annoyed, but something I always do is try to be objective when I'm posting this stuff, I try to back what I'm saying up with canon at all times, and sure, I can get aggressive if I'm mad, but I'm not going around calling people names. I did stay neutral about the relationship until it got unbearable (which was pretty fast since I have been called homophobic since 703 but...) and I discuss bt with @the-tomorrow-road quite a bit and they bring me back to that objectivity, and the other day they said something along the lines of "now you're just looking for reasons to bash him" and I know that, at this point, I want to dislike the guy, but, the idea we are not supposed to believe the relationship is gonna last and the idea that we are not supposed to like Tommy are two different things. A lot of the problems with Tommy is the reaction to him. BT is firmly in the background of the show, it's kinda like Ali or Ana, the relationships never stood a chance but we were never encouraged to dislike them, but there was never a fandom around them, so we were never thinking this hard if should we like or dislike them, yk? They were just there with the not-so-occasional misogyny-fueled bashing. Yes, he was painted in a bad light during the begins episodes BUT we are supposed to believe he evolved, the show did give the idea that gay excuses complacency, he was scared for himself and hid behind his privilege, which isn't great, but Tommy got a cake when he transferred, he helped when Chim called in two different situations, he got mentioned by him in another, and given his general s7 persona, that feels like part of his personality, he just doesn't warm up to people the way we would expect, and that can just be an aspect of his character construction, not as something that's being designed for us not to like him, but instead is just there so we won't think he's a good long-term match for Buck because he doesn't match Buck's energy. Bad boyfriend doesn't automatically mean bad person. And there's also the way that not being the type boyfriend we expected also doesn't mean bad boyfriend. I know I'm not supposed to love him when it comes to Buck, but I still don't know how I'm supposed to feel about him outside of Buck.

But in the end, what I know is that Tommy in 704 had to be presented that way to justify bi Buck. They needed the audience to believe Buck would want him because Buck has been presented as a womanizer. Ever since then, they have been making the relationship look less and less like something that would be good for Buck beyond the honeymoon phase. But the relationship being doomed doesn't necessarily mean they are trying to make Tommy into a bad person, because for the most part, he's just there. I do agree the show didn't give us any reason to be invested in the relationship, so I'm not, but yeah, this is my mental conflict when it comes to him.

All the gatekeeping of tour diaries and now the crumbs of concert footage in that "documentary" yesterday. he was working for months on that? that's why we didn't get tour diaries? all that footage just goes in his vault now? Hello! I'm sorry to hear you felt disappointed by yesterday's special. However, I feel compelled to comment on a few objective points in your ask.

- "Live & Backstage in Amsterdam" was directed by James Tonkin, the same director (and production team, Hangman) they worked with on "The Feeling of Falling Upwards" (and the unreleased "Live in Brixton" special). Ryan was credited as director of the documentary footage and as a contributing editor (1 of 3) but the live footage and overall final program was not his work.

- Regardless of the particular creatives involved here (or in any given project for that matter), the fact remains that any directors, producers, photographers, etc are all hired hands operating with full input and specific direction from the band. The band chose to make this a hybrid concert film/documentary. The band chose to condense the setlist the way they did. The band chose this format over the traditional tour diaries. What happens to the unused footage will be determined by the band. Ryan is a friend but he is first and foremost an employee and the band owns that footage. (Likewise, the MYT diaries are not sitting on Andy Deluca's hard drive because he's "gatekeeping" or too lazy to edit it. If the band wanted them released, they'd be released.) All this to say, of course you don't have to agree with the decisions but it's important to clarify who your complaint is with.

- This concept of the band or their collaborators "gatekeeping" and fans not getting what we "deserve" is, to be blunt, entitled and immature. Being a fan does not make an artist indebted to you. They make music, if you feel so inclined, you listen. That's it. That's the extent of the contract. Anything beyond that is optional for both parties. Any content an artist chooses to release is not out of obligation or generosity, it's part business strategy, part artistic vision. Artists do not owe you anything. This band does not owe you anything.
