as you all may know, im caedosexual. if you dont know what that means basically i am asexual due to trauma [there are aro/aroace versions of this label]. im not ashamed of this identity, but you know what i AM ashamed of ? THE FLAGS. THEYRE SO ASS. IM SO SICK AND TIRED AND I MADE A NEW ONE [GREEN AND BLUE VARIANTS FOR CAEDROMANTIC AND CAEDAROACE FOLKS RESPECTIVELY]

dark red - trauma red - grief and anger and all the feelings that come with being Traumatized lighter red - properly processing trauma and acceptance of caedo identity [when i slowly realized i was caedosexual i felt ashamed because i was "feeding into" the stereotype that ace people are "broken" or wtv. but if your asexuality/aromanticism is caused by trauma thats totally valid !!] white - healing from said trauma shades of purple/green/blue - the vast ace / aro / aroace spectrums. encompasses sex/romance favorable, indifferent and repulsed individuals, and everything in between

i wish all those who identify with these labels a happy pride month, and a safe recovery from their trauma. youre not alone in this, and you will find people who love you for who you are, who will love you how you should be loved.

Neurorose is when someone is both neurosexual and neuroromantic.

Caedrose is when someone is both caedosexual and caedoromantic.

Caedattractional

Caedattractional is where someone feels that one was previously able to experience attraction, but that ability was lost due to trauma or negative events.

Medusa-/Me-

Medusa-, or shortened as Me- is a trauma exclusive identity that involves having a lack of, or difficulty maintaining attraction to men due to trauma. Someone who is under the medusa- umbrella may have tertiary attraction towards men, but may experience repulsion or lack of desire to act on this attraction.

Anyone of any orientation with this experience may identify within the medusa- umbrella. This label is entirely self-indulgent, as it matches my own experience in regards to trauma involving men.

The colors of the flags are inspired by the Greek figure, Medusa (whom this label is named after), a figure that has been widely reclaimed by sexual trauma survivors, and the PTSD awareness ribbon. Do not change/redesign my flags. These colors do hold a purpose.

Me- is pronounced as "muh."

Medusarose/Merose - Lack of, or difficulty maintaining romantic and sexual attraction to men due to trauma. Someone who is medusarose may have tertiary attraction towards men, but may experience repulsion or lack of desire to act on this attraction.

Medusaromantic/Meromantic - Lack of, or difficulty maintaining romantic attraction to men due to trauma. Someone who is medusaromantic may have tertiary attraction towards men, but may experience repulsion or lack of desire to act on this attraction.

Medusasexual/Mesexual - Lack of, or difficulty maintaining sexual attraction to men due to trauma. Someone who is medusasexual may have tertiary attraction towards men, but may experience repulsion or lack of desire to act on this attraction.

Medusaroseflux/Meroseflux - Fluctuating lack of, or difficulty maintaining romantic and sexual attraction to men due to trauma. Someone who is medusaroseflux may have tertiary attraction towards men, but may experience fluctuating repulsion or lack of desire to act on this attraction.

Medusaroflux/Meroflux - Fluctuating lack of, or difficulty maintaining romantic attraction to men due to trauma. Someone who is medusaroflux may have tertiary attraction towards men, but may experience fluctuating repulsion or lack of desire to act on this attraction.

This identity is not for people who weaponize bioessentialism against men or masculine individuals. There is a difference between having a trauma response and assigning morality to gender.

Here’s some positivity for those on the caed- romantic, sexual, or gender spectrum!

The caed- prefix refers to one’s identity (romantic, sexual, gender, or something else) which has been damaged, stripped, or cut away due to past trauma. These folks may have identified with other genders, sexualities, or romantic orientations before going through a traumatic event, but due to trauma their identities have been compromised or changed in major ways. This post is for all those who are on the caed- spectrum, regardless of how that manifests for them!

Remember that the spectrums of gender, sexuality, and romantic orientation are vast, and each individual label serves an important purpose for those who identify with them! For those who find themselves identifying with a caed- label, we truly hope that you can find peace, healing, comfort, and recovery in your future!

Know that we really are wishing you the very best. If you are taking steps to recover from your trauma, we wish you a smooth process that is as painless as it can be. If you’re trying to live with your trauma and make peace with it, we genuinely hope that you will be able to achieve this one day. Please do your best to take care of yourself and your system!
