theres actually no rules to transitioning and youre allowed to want contradictory things for your transition. it's fine if you only want some of the changes that come with hrt and take preventative measures for the rest (like wanting bottom growth but not body hair or vice versa). you can want to have vagina AND a dick. you can be a woman and want top surgery, or wear a packer. you can be a man and want to have a pussy. you can change your transition goals one or a million times or not have any goals at all and just take things as they come or as they feel right.

happy easter and trans visibility day to the trans and nonbinary christians who: -feel comfortable within both their faith *and* their identity. -found out they were trans *because* of christianity and/or God -have just recently converted to christianity -just came out to their community and was welcomed by said community -recently left a toxic church and are now comfortable expressing themselves because they left said toxic church also happy easter and trans day of visibility to the trans and nonbinary christians who: -cannot come out or transition due to their 'community' being unwelcoming -don't feel safe or welcome in the church because of transphobia -were forced back into the closet by their own 'community' -are questioning their gender identity or their faith -are considering leaving christianity entirely -are dealing with internalized transphobia -have transitioned but is considering detransitioning due to bullying/harassment from their own 'community' -are deconstructing their faith

it's easy to assume that being trans and christian is contradictory, but that's just not true. God loves you, Jesus loves you. You don't need to be "saved" from being trans or nonbinary, because God *made* you that way. God made us in His image, and he created your trans identity. <3

maybe there's something im not understanding here, and honestly at the end of the day i don't really care one way or the other this is a pretty exclusively online topic, but the whole "neo/xeno AGAB" thing is like... vaguely transphobic right?

and i am absolutely 100% NOT the person to try to tell others how they should identify or what labels they should be using, im literally a transmasc nonbinary mspec/queer lesbian transspecies werewolf who uses xeno pronouns for fucks sake, it doesn't really get anymore "queer as in wtf is going on" than that.

but from what i've seen and read about it, it kind of seems to be simultaneously reinventing and discrediting the definition of transgender. To directly quote the "AGAB Non-Conformity" infographic made by @/nonconformityhub,

"Those who reject their AGAB, are unassigned, or were forced to fit a binary sex at birth may wish to self-assign a different AGAB. It's based around the idea that we shouldn't be forced to stick with a falsely assigned gender."

like, am i not understanding something or is that literally just the definition of being transgender or gnc?? i think the thing that rubs me the wrong way about it is that it almost kinda implies that as a transgender individual you should or need to disclose the gender you were assigned at birth to others, which (unless it's for legal or health related reasons) you literally just don't. If you are a trans man, congratulations, you are a man. You don't have to be an "AFAB man", you're just a man. As far as anyone else needs to be concerned, you are male and have always been such. The whole point of being trans is to reject the gender you were assigned at birth because it's flat out not what you are.

Idk again I don't really care that much I don't think it's gonna single handedly set back trans liberation or anything of that sort, I just feel like we SHOULD be focusing on dismantling the system of assigning genders at birth to begin with and reasserting that sex ≠ gender, rather than simply modifying the system to appeal to certain individuals and disregarding preexisting communities trying to accomplish that goal, and would maybe just encourage everyone to look at this kind of stuff with some healthy skepticism

My gender identity is something that has been crossing my mind again.

My gender identity is influenced by the way catness is attributed to femininity. I'm still a woman but my identity as a woman is influenced by me being a cat and also the concept of cat. When people see me I want them to see a catwomen. I'm a mix of nekos in anime and cat women in western media.

This got me to think of my own gender term that's kinda a subsection of GenderNH

CatWoman: A gender identity that is influenced by being a cat and a woman and/or the concept of 'cat' and 'woman'

Then this got me thinking of other terms that I also feel like represent me. The terms cis+ and xenocis really stuck out to me. I made a gender flow chart to represent how these terms relate to me.

Cis+ -> xenocis -> GenderNH -> CatWoman

Thinkin about this is new for me as it's something I haven't had to think about much. I did question my gender in middle school and ik I had/have other options but I very much enjoy being a women and being referred to as one. But now it feels like some new stuff got added after discovering my species-identity. But that seems logical. What does it mean to have a gender when you aren't even human? I'm sure most nonhumans think of this eventually.

Beardedwomangender (or mustachedwomangender or facialhairwomangender)

This is a gender identity that means you want to be a bearded &/or mustached woman. E.g. a trans woman who wants to keep her beard or a cis woman who wants to have a beard or something like that.

I'm coining this because it applies to me. Because like idk if I'm like 100% cis if I want to have a mustache but like I certainly wouldn't consider myself trans at this point. maybe like 90% cis or something. Idk.

Also, I've tried to find more general genders that fit this like maybe genderqueer woman or nonbinary woman or magiwoman and they kinda fit but I wanted something more specific.

Maybe I will make a flag for it later.
