hellowwww i hope youre having a nice dayyy! idk if youre taking requests but if you are could you please write about an easily flustered Civillian who is attending a ball, and morally grey Villain asking her for a dance. she knows exaclty who he is but still she accepted.
CAN YOU THROW IN SOME TEASING AND FLIRTING AND CAN IT BE LONG IF YOU WANT TO OFC. FEEL FREE TO IGNORE THISSS. ANYWAYS HERE'S A 🥐 AND HAVE A GOOD DAY!
thank you for the croissant 🥐 ! <3
tw: none!
Civilian was never a fan of balls.
She found them rather distasteful, overly extravagant. Her siblings, on the other hand, did not, and they had left her at one of the tables while they ran off to find a dashing suitor for the night.
Civilian picked at the hem of her sleeve, watching couples dance to the music playing in the background. She sighed as she noticed one of her sisters twirling about in the center of the room. Maybe it was time for her to leave…
“And what would a pretty little thing like you be doing here alone?”
She startled, eyes flying up to the man in front of her. He seemed much older than her, sporting graying hair and premature wrinkles.
She furrowed her brow. “I’m…I’m sorry?”
He stepped closer, much too close for comfort. He leaned in, and Civilian could smell the mustiness of him. Suddenly feeling nauseous, she cleared her throat and stood up. “I-I apologize, but I was just on my way home.”
“So soon?” The man grinned, flashing crooked teeth. He moved towards her, and she began to back up. “Honey, I can make you feel good—,”
He stopped dead in his tracks, eyes widening at the sight of something just past her shoulder.
Civilian blinked, confused. “Sir—?”
“There you are.” A velvety voice rumbled through her from behind. “I’ve been looking for you everywhere.”
Civilian jolted as a hand settled on her shoulder. She slowly turned her head up to meet the steely gray eyes of…
Oh. Oh my god.
Villain smiled warmly at her. “C’mon dear, let me take you somewhere else,” he said gently, wrapping a snug arm around her shoulders and moving her into a safer corner of the room.
“Are you okay?” Villain murmured. “He didn’t harass you too much?”
Civilian forgot how to talk. She swallowed dryly after a moment. “I-I…no. No, he didn’t. Thank you.”
“Ah, good.” Villain’s gaze swiped over her once. “You look stunning, dear. Can I ask for a name?”
A blush beginning to dot her cheeks, she ducked her head. “Civilian.”
“Civilian,” he repeated, testing the name out on his tongue. His lips quirked up again. “Civilian, would you care for a dance?”
Villain - the villain - asking her to a dance. The villain that was dashingly handsome in an all black tuxedo and dark, slicked hair that was just beginning to lose its careful styling. The villain that was notorious for his attacks on the government, but was seen carrying out injured people from a burning building.
“You’re staring,” Villain reminded under his breath, a laugh in his voice.
“Sorry,” Civilian squeaked. “I-I, well, yes, of course. I’d love to dance.”
The gray of his eyes lit up with unspoken delight, and he took her hand, bringing her to the main floor with the other guests.
Stepping along to a gentle waltz, Villain brought Civilian in close. “You know who I am,” he whispered in her ear. It wasn’t a question.
Civilian almost lost her footing. “Pardon?”
“Well, you didn’t ask for my name.” Villain chuckled. “And the way you were looking at me was rather…peculiar, for lack of a better word.”
“O-oh,” Civilian stuttered out, embarrassment flooding through her. “Sorry.”
A hand slid onto the small of her back to keep her near, but the slowness and deliberation of the movement made her breath catch.
“Don’t be,” Villain responded. “It’s not everyday a beautiful woman such as yourself ever bothers to glance at me.”
If she wasn’t dancing in the center of the room, Civilian would’ve collapsed onto the floor. She, of all people, just got complimented by this charming suitor. Her mind raced for an appropriate answer. “Thank you,” she breathed. “It’s not everyday a gorgeous man such as yourself ever bothers to approach me.”
Villain flashed a grin - the roguish kind that made Civilian’s knees weak. “I appreciate it.”
The hand on her back began to make its way up to brush the base of her skull, fingers catching on loose strands of hair from her braid. She made eye contact with Villain as he guided her face closer to his.
“You have the prettiest eyes,” he mused, breath tingling her nose. His gaze flicked down. “And the prettiest lips.”
Civilian’s heart was pounding twice as fast than normal, threatening to burst of of her chest. She glanced quickly at the curve of his own mouth, then back up to the sharp intensity of his ashen stare.
He was so close. When did he get so close?
The world around them blurred, slowed, music fading away into the background, and then it was just him and her. Her and him.
His lips brushed over hers, just barely, as if to say - Thank you for trusting me.
She chased him as he pulled back. He tightened his hold on her, as if to restrain the both of them from doing anything more.
I’m yours when you are ready.
And then time fell back into place, the classical music blared in Civilian’s ears, and they were suddenly no longer alone again.
The song ended, and Villain stepped away to bow to her. She fumbled into a sloppy curtsy, still reeling from everything that just happened.
He winked at her. “See you around, Civilian.”
Then he turned, and disappeared into the crowd before she could chase after him.
She’d see him not around, but rather the very next day for a date together.

Writing prompt #18
Warning: captivity
"Ah, Hero. It's so nice of you to come." The villain drawled with barefaced pleasure, hastily typing something on the dashboard to the sounds of the mechanism being triggered behind them. The text appearing on the massive screen seemed more significant to them than the captured hero, whom they never deigned to look at.
Hero, meanwhile, trapped, was actively trying to free their hands, not seeing them behind their back, but feeling the rope wrapping around their wrists. If only they could reach the penknife hidden in their pocket, the whole task of extrication would be much easier. The time to think about their own actions was evaporating with every bit of protraction, and the end of it came right when Villain finally met their captive’s gaze, depriving them of any attempts to free themselves.
"I suppose you're wondering what my plan is." Putting one hand behind their back, the villain entered a combination on the dashboard with a couple of precise finger movements, opening images with a detailed explanation of their plan.
"What a stupid cliché!" Civilian exclaimed, nervously tapping on their knee with their fingers.
This scene was one of their favorites in this movie, but the very quality of its performance couldn’t let them just relax and continue eating popcorn in an unobtrusive observation of the plot.
"Why do villains always do this? Don't you understand that Hero is going to escape and interfere with all your plans in the end? They always win, do you really think you got lucky this time?" Civilian was indignant, talking to the TV screen, as if someone could hear them or the movie could rewrite its own script in the blink of an eye.
"You're only saying this because you've already watched it." Their friend pointed out, carefully watching what was happening on the screen and sipping from their cup of coke. They weren’t so interested in minor conventions as to agree with the civilian's words.
"No, I'm saying this because it's stupid in general and in such situation I would -"
"And what should be done? I'm all ears, go on.” Looking at Civilian with a slight hint of disbelief and simultaneous interest, Villain leaned on the dashboard, interrupting their monologue dedicated to Hero.
The civilian forgot how to move their tongue and reproduce sounds when they discovered they were no longer in their living room, but were standing directly between the villain and the hero.

Desperate Villain Danny AU
(this is a 17 yr old danny)
It started out slowly.
First, a few of Danny's less active Rouges stopped showing up at all. He didn't really notice, and just assumed that they had finally had their Fill of their Obsession for a while and would simmer down for a bit.
Then, some more of his Rouges stopped showing up. No big deal, but he is getting a little concerned for them. They had definitely not had their fill of their Obsessions yet, why did they stop?
Then, the worst started happen. All of his actual Ghost Friends start to disappear. Ember, Kitty, Johnny, even Amorpho, they all start to not show up at all in the Living World.
He goes looking for them in Realms, but he can't find any of them whatsoever. He tries asking around, but everybody else noticed the disappearances much earlier than him and began to hide away from whatever was taking all of the strong Ghosts. He can't find anybody, and the ones he does find won't tell him anything (or don't know themselves)
It takes weeks of searching, but eventually he gets his answer.
The GIW show up in Amity again after a period of absolutely no activity. They have stepped up their operations HARD. Advanced Ghost Hunting Equipment, Much more Competent Agents, and most worrying of all, they seem to know that Phantom is friends with Sam, Tucker, and Danny Fenton.
The GIW comes to his house for a Meeting with his parents, where he overhears them offering his parents a position in their Organization as Head Scientists. While there they also manage to plant Bugs in Danny's room somehow. Although he finds them quickly enough and destroys them.
And then, one night during dinner while his parents are ranting about the GIWs Labs, they mention something that cinches it for Danny.
"And today we even got to Dissect one of the Spooks! It was that Mind Controlly one, you know the one with the blue firey hair stuff that sang a bunch! We're going back tomorrow to continue our Study, this time we'll see how long it'll pretend to experience pain before it decides to give up on tricking us!"
That night, Danny packed up all his things, destroyed the Ghost Portal alongside everything else in his parents Lab, and left his house.
He tracked down the GIW Base, saved Ember from her Cell, and decimated the surrounding Area. No survivors, none of the research is preserved, and he left the Site Director alive to question him.
Turns out, the GIW had managed to Reverse Engineer the Ghost Portal from that brief period of time where they had taken control of Fenton Works. They had been using their own Portal to kidnap any Ghost they could get their hands on. Using the research from those subjects, they perfected their Ghost Hunting Tech and started going after the bigger fish.
"But good luck finding it, Ecto Scum! The Portals location was hidden to everybody, even me!" He said.
"Where are the others!" Danny cried. He was losing control of his appearance by this point. After seeing what they had done to Ember, he was too angry to maintain his Humanoid Form successfully. Even now, with most of his control, he could hear the Static in the air around him, and see the Glitching of his hands as they clenched this Monsters clothes.
"Scattered!" He said with a crazed laugh, "We knew we couldn't contain all of them, so we send them to all of our sites across the Country! You'll never find them!"
Without another word, Danny plowed his arm through the man's chest.
He turned around, picking up Embers weakened Body, before beginning his long flight to Wisconsin. Vlad still owed him a few Favors after all, and honestly his mentorship offers seemed VERY Tempting right now.
(Why reject him if you don't care about keeping your dad alive anymore?)
...
The JLA had recently received a distress signal from somewhere in the middle of some random Forest in Illinois, but when they got to the location, all they found was a crater filled with the ruins of some kind of Military Base, and so so many Bodies.
They had managed to figure out that this was a Government Site owned by an organization called the GIW. A Paranormal Investigation Wing of the Government focused on the study and capture of Supernatural Beings called Ecto-Entities, otherwise referred to as Ghosts.
As it turns out, an Ecto-Entity that had been terrorizing the local town for a few years now had made a drastic change in normal behavior and had attacked the GIW Base that had been posted there.
They would have destroyed it years ago, but this one was unnaturally powerful. It had eluded their capture and terrorized the Town for years, but they had too much pride to contact the JLA and admit that they needed help. And honestly until now, they didn't really need it. The Entity had been entirely confined to the singular town, and had not strayed from that behavioral Pattern in the 3 years since it's inital sighting. They had made the difficult choice to leave it there, sacrificing one town in exchange for the rest of the country.
But now they did need their help. This Entity, this Phantom, was one of the most powerful beings that had ever recorded, maybe even The Most Powerful. The fact that it had left the Secluded town it usually frequented meant that it was loose to wreak havoc across the rest of the world.
The JLA Needed to Find this thing, and Fast.

So I've seen a lot of "Jazz works as a therapist at Arkam" in the dp x dc fandom, and while I like the concept, I also feel like Jazz would take one look at the place and immediately be like "what the absolute fuck" at just the everything of the place.
Like, she either nopes out after the tour during the interview or quits not too long afterward starting there, not because she can't take it but because she's so appalled by what's going on there and can smell the corruption rolling off the place and knows no one sent to there is ever actually going to get the help they need.
So Jazz decides to open a private practice instead while still being absolutely determined to work with the various rogues in the city, she is here to help and nothing is going to stop her.
So she just starts showing up at known hangouts of rogues and during their heists/schemes/sprees, and even fights between them and the batfam, just like
"Hi! It’s so nice to meet you! My name is Dr. Jasmine Fenton/Nightingale/whatever last name she’s using and I was hoping we could talk!"
Casually kicks a baterang away without looking because she's being polite and professional!
"I understand that your experience with therapy through Arkam has been nothing but atrocious and that you are rightfully -"
Kicks Batman away without breaking eye contact or a sweat.
"Suspicious of attempting therapy again, and Idon't want to force anything on you, therapy should be on your terms after the experiences you've had but -"
Grabs Robin out of the air as he leaps at the rogue she's talking to and tucks him under her arm, ignoring his feral hissing and all attempts to break her hold.
"-I really think that you'd find it beneficial, even if I'm not the right therapist for you."
The rogue in question is having the time of their life and takes Jazz's business card - and a few extra to pass around - not really intending to actually ever book a therapy appointment with her but way too entertained and excited to share this madness with everyone else.
But then one of the rogues actually looks up Jazz's website and sees all the various safe guards she’s put in place to ensure that any villians that come to her will be protected while seeing her - soundproof therapy room, regular sweeps for listening and tracking devices, the most insane firewalls and protections anyone has ever seen on her network, and ooh she provides snacks and drinks!
So someone finally books an appointment with her, half convinced she's either going to turn them in or is a villain herself intent to experiment on them, but then it’s actually really nice??? And they feel a lot better afterwards?? She doesn't even say anything to indicate that she wants them to stop being villains, she just wants them to be okay??
So more and more rogues start going to her, and Batman was already losing his mind about this woman before - Oracle can't hack her system?!? And her background check shows a totally normal Psychiatrist?? - but now half of Gotham's heavy hitters and a dozen or so other minor league villains are seeing her regularly and every time he tries to get info on any plans the rogues might be scheme via her office it fails utterly. Nightwing got knocked out with something called a creep stick and when he tried to break in himself to get answers she just appeared out of no where and gave him the most scathing lecture about doctor-patient confidentiality before bullying him off her property and threatening to sick her brother on him if he tried again?
And because she's become such a figure in the Gotham underworld, she gets the attention of Joker.
And everyone, rogues and Bats alike, are terrified that she’s going to try and take him on as a patient like she has so many other villains in the city and that's just a recipe for tragedy.
But then the Joker is on his way to the hospital with two broken legs and the fear of god beat into him babbling about eldritch nightmares and whenever anyone asks Jazz what happened she just shrugs and just says things like "I refused him as a patient, he's not my problem." Or "My brother doesn't like clowns." And just, does not elaborate.
Batman is losing his mind over it all. Jazz is just happy to be able to actually help the rogues. Arkam is less happy about how she absolutely destroys their reputation.

Could you write a snippet about a sunshine civilian x terrifying villain?? The civilian doesn’t like “change” the villain but the villain does have a soft spot for them
"Would you like me to get involved?" the villain asked.
The civilian paused, halfway in the middle of doing the dishes. They started again smoothly enough - mind racing through their options.
Involved in what? Oh so innocent. An insult to them both.
How did you find out? Obvious. The villain made it their business to be aware of everything going in their general sphere.
Of course I don't want that. Of course I do.
"You're asking?" the civilian said, finally. "I didn't think your possessive streak would allow you to sit out on my battles."
"You enjoy your independence. I prefer not to upset you further."
The villain stalked across the room, taking a dish from the civilian's hand and beginning the work of drying it. It still caught the civilian off guard; to see them do such mundane things. A dark conqueror did not exchange his throne for a pair of sunny yellow marigolds.
Except, with them.
The civilian exhaled a slow breath.
"There's a limit, of course." The villain's voice was too casual. "If they'd laid hands on you..."
"I don't think any of your followers would be that stupid."
The villain didn't say anything to that, simply taking the next plate. The civilian didn't say anything either for the next few dishes, because dishes were annoying but easy and the villain's world was fascinating but hard.
"I can fight my own battles," the civilian said. "It's not a big deal."
"I know you can. And that's not the point."
The civilian huffed, finally daring a glance at their lover. The villain's gaze was an inferno. Dangerous. Teeming with violence. A carefully controlled fury. The civilian couldn't possibly look away from it.
The villain reached to turn off the hot water tap without breaking eye contact, head tilting a fraction. They raised an eyebrow.
"If you got involved," the civilian said. "They'd never dare so much as insinuate shit about me again. They'd be so polite."
"They'd get on their knees whenever you walked into a room." The villain's voice dropped instantly away from casual to velvet. "They'd ask permission before so much as looking at you. Would you like that?"
"No." Yes. Sometimes.
There was no judgment on the villain's face.
"It's not an impulse I want to indulge," the civilian amended.
"Mm, pity. I'd like seeing everyone on their knees for you. They'd grovel. Beg me for mercy and then beg you, when they realised I was not the one in a position to grant them forgiveness for their sins."
The civilian shivered.
The villain smiled. Their eyes lit up.
"Don't tempt me." The civilian elbowed them, gently, splashing soap suds everywhere. Then they pressed a kiss to the villain's shoulder. Their mouth only felt a little dry. "It would be terrible for my ego. I'd be insufferable. The power would go straight to my head."
The villain laughed and the civilian could finally look away, grinning ruefully to themselves as they shook their head. They turned the water back on and then did some more of the dishes, chest feeling a little lighter than before despite themselves.
"Thank you," the civilian said. "For asking."
"Do you know how you want to deal with the situation?"
"Honestly, I was just going to ignore it. I can handle people making snide comments."
"Boundary setting and discipline is important."
"This is why everyone is scared of you."
"This is also why no one would dare try and bait me in a conversation."
The civilian scrunched up their nose in acknowledgement of the point, glancing at the villain again. "Well, I don't want to sic you on them. As funny as their expressions would be, I'd feel really bad about it in the morning. And I don't want -" The civilian stopped.
"You don't want them to think you'll coming running to my coattails whenever the other kids on the playground are mean to you?"
"...not how I would have said it, but yeah," the civilian muttered, cheeks flushed.
The villain immediately leaned down to press a kiss to the warmed skin, seeming utterly unable to help themselves. The civilian could feel the villain's grin against their skin.
The villain would be delighted if the civilian did that, at least in part. It was the closest they could get to playing the protector, the anti hero.
"For what it's worth," the villain said, against their ear. "I don't care what they think about you."
"Lions rarely care about the inner workings of ants, it's true."
It was the villain's turn to huff. They switched the water off again, wrapping an arm around the civilian and bodily moving them away from the sink. Their lips dipped to kiss the civilian's neck. "Not an ant."
"Obviously, I'm the cutest ant around. No one's disputing that."
"You're my favourite thing," the villain said. They found the civilian's mouth and kissed that too, before straightening. When they looked down the inferno was still there (always there) but back down to its normal level of simmering. "My absolute darling."
"Yeah, yeah."
"So if you change your mind about your enemies screaming, sobbing for your absolution..."
The civilian rolled their eyes, and felt a smile tugging their lips even if they probably should have been horrified. They leaned in to kiss the villain in turn.
"I know who to call."

I forgot about this.
Tumblr media
The whole reasoning behind the Supervillain Danny AU sketches was that his villain persona was the complete opposite of his normal, sane self and hero persona. Danny plays into the Fenton name really hard, and ramps up the “mad scientist” bit, taking inspiration from both his normal civilian life and his parents, thus using just his last name as a villain.
And then I wanted to add what Sam and Tucker might look like if they joined in on his shenanigans. To keep with the “opposite of their normal life” bit, let’s throw in some ghostly artifacts that help the two keep up with Fenton’s madness.
Sam would get an angel’s halo that helps her form ghostly wings, and she’d play into the good-two shoes angelic look, and then she opens her mouth and verbally assaults you. She pins her bangs back and wears clothes that better fit a celestial aesthetic and uses all the etiquette training her parents taught her. Manson looks like some sort of regal angel and people expect her to be the nicest out of all of them. She’s not. Manson is the sneakiest and most bloodthirsty one, and heroes regularly wonder if she has actually committed murder or not.
Tucker takes inspiration from his time as a pharaoh. He has a metal postiche that enhances his physical ability. (Maybe it gives him dreadlocks too, but I like to think Tucker is just wearing a whole ass wig.) He wears a strange mix of street wear and his pharaoh outfit, and throws his tech-obsessed self out the window. Fenton is the nerdy one here, so now Foley is the muscle. Foley plays up meathead American bully stereotype hard. He delights in throwing hands, and hunts down supers just for the sake of a fun spar. (For him not for the supers.) Foley’s favorite people to fight so far is Killer Croc and Superman. Heroes are concerned about what would happen if Foley fought for real, but then they saw what he did to the Joker “as a joke” and decided not to ask any more questions.
Basically, the trio looked at their civilian lives and picked out what they considered “villainous traits” from the people around them that they then played into as villains themselves. If that makes sense. Sam hates how her parents want a perfect child, so she makes herself look like one. She speaks in backhanded comments and has a snooty attitude, which she learned from other rich people. Tucker is constantly confronted by bullies everyday, and all the rogues that come to Amity are always fighting, so that’s what he decides to mimic. Yeah, he now gets to be the big and strong protector of the group, but all his experience with fighting have been bad ones, and that reflects in his style. And finally, Danny. Why does he take after his parents and play into the family name? Because the Fentons are one of the biggest obstacles and source of anxiety in his life. Danny associates mad scientists to pain and other bad things, so even if all he’s being helpful in a really annoying way as a villain, his parents and the threat of the GIW still influence how he presents himself. Because to Danny, those two things are far more scary than a kid with a pirate ship or a man wearing a bat fursuit.

Prompt 309
Danny huddled beneath the mass of warm scales, trying to avoid the rain that sputtered and hissed into steam whenever it touched the resting form of the older halfa. He choked on broken chirps, burying his head against his tail. Everything hurt, one of his paws and wings gone- what had the wanted them for-
He sniffled, not wanting to cry. At least- at least Jordan had managed to get them out, it could have been worse. Ancients, it could have been so much worse. Mom and Dad were… Ancients he didn’t want to even think about it-
A huff of smoke wafted over him, and he looked up into Dan’s crimson eye- the other gone to do who knows what with. It was time to go- they couldn’t stay in one place, they had to keep moving lest the GIW catch up. They didn’t have a choice, not now, not if they didn’t want to die- if they ever could now. It didn’t matter.
He stayed limp as he was picked up by the scruff, the rain soaking into his fur and scales (and still-healing injuries) as the larger dragon launched into the sky. They just had to keep moving, avoid any people, heroes included, and keep moving. Just keep moving.

“You’re a super villain.”
“And you’re gorgeous.”
“What?”
“Oh, sorry love, I thought we were stating facts.”
“You—“
“Called you gorgeous? Yes.”
“No—that’s not what I—god, you collapsed the bridge this morning.”
“Ah yes. I did that too. In more pressing matters, do you have a preference towards wine?”
“I don’t—“
“I’ll pick, then.”
“All those people—“
“Were unfortunate casualties. Look. Stop trying to call for help under the tablecloth, I can see you. Look at me. I am a villain, yes, but I would give you the world. A hero? They would give you up for the world. Do you really want to love someone who will never put you first?”
“…no.”
“Excellent. Now, do you like pasta?”
“Um. Yes?”
The super villain smiled.
In the end, loving them was easier than the civilian had thought.

supervillain x their super oblivious civilian lover
original ask submitted by @save-the-villainous-cat for the ask game!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Morning, baby,” the civilian yawns wearily as they plod into the kitchen, rubbing their eyes softly. The supervillain turns in a beat, smiles, and then focuses their attention back onto the pans over the stove.
“Good morning, my love,” they answer smoothly, not stopping from flipping over a pancake when they feel arms wrap around their waist and a forehead nuzzle into their back. “Have a good sleep?”
The civilian nods, sighing. “Yeah. I didn’t even feel you come back last night.”
That’s because the supervillain didn’t, but they wouldn’t tell them that, of course. Once the pancake is flipped, they turn and cup their cheeks, kissing their lips softly.
The civilian looks at them and smiles happily, and the supervillain almost wants to drop the breakfast and whisk them right back to bed.
“Another late night at the office?”
The supervillain chuckles, like that’s funny. It is, a little bit. Their lover was too naive for their own good, and the idea that they would be content with an office job was quite amusing.
“Unfortuantly,” they simply respond, and the civilian huffs, like they’re offended themselves.
“They can’t keep doing that, you know,” they pout, eyes fluttering slightly when the supervillain brushes some hair from their face. “Can’t you complain so I get to spend more time with you? You’re always so busy.”
They peel away, reluctantly, and the supervillain sees the playful pout on their lips, smiling to themselves.
“The overtime is criminal,” the supervillain smirks, and the civilian laughs, shuffling away.
“You’re funny.”
The supervillain turns back to the stove, checking on the pancakes. They have some bacon and egg on the go, simply because they feel the need to spoil their lover like there was no tomorrow. They were theirs, after all, all their obliviousness aside. They just didn’t know it.
The civilian hums softly to themselves as they set the table and pour some drinks, and the supervillain relaxes into the tune. It makes them work more efficiently, until they’re dishing up, and letting their eyes linger on their pretty lover easily.
“Wanna eat and watch TV?” The civilian asks, an eager glimmer in their eye. “Unless you have to rush...”
The supervillain was their own boss – it didn’t really matter to them, not when the civilian didn’t even notice their lackluster “office hours”. They kiss their head, herding them into the lounge.
“Go on, then,” they smile, handing them their plate and watching them get comfortable on the couch with a little smile. The supervillain joins them, and they attatch themselves to their side like glue, but the supervillain doesn’t mind. They eat their fill of bacon and an omelette, while their civilian shovels added pancakes into their mouth as well.
Sometime during a programme, the supervillain’s phone rings. The civilian’s head lifts in curiosity, and they answer it. It’s work related, but they don’t leave the room, letting their hand gently card through their lovers hair as a distraction. Not that they needed it.
“Uh huh, and that’ll be ready to use by tomorrow, will it?” They absentmindedly question, their annoyance piqued by the delay of their supplies. “Just don’t fuck up the encryption. It’s sensitive, one wrong move and it’ll be your head, do you understand?”
They end the call, and the civilian shifts, glancing at them with an amused smirk. “Encryptions? Sounds fancy.”
The supervillain laughs. Not because it was funny, but just because the civilian was absolutely clueless. They lean forward, kissing their head, a roaming hand landing on their thigh.
“You know what?” The supervillain drawls. “I think I’ll have today off.”
The civilian frowns softly. “That’s the fifth time in the past two weeks. This is why they’re keeping you late, you know.”
They shut them up with a kiss, and the civilian doesn’t complain. They never do – the supervillain could destroy the city, and their clueless little lover would be by their side every step of the way.

Could you do a snippet with a dignified supervillain and a sarcastic civilian? Idk I just feel like it would make for a fun little short story lol
tw: captivity, restraints, mild death threats, suggestive dialogue
Civilian had to admit, Supervillain was less intimidating than they had initially imagined.
They were larger, taller in person, dressed in a sleek black costume with a billowing cape that seemed rather excessive. But as the infamous criminal shuffled through the contents of something near the back of the room, Civilian couldn’t help but think that they looked like a rip-off Batman.
“Hey, uh, don’t you think this whole ‘tied to a chair in a cell room’ shenanigan is rather cliché?” Civilian blurted out, shifting uncomfortably in their bonds. “I’m not really gonna go anywhere.”
Supervillain stopped their movement abruptly. Their head raised slowly.
Keep talking. Civilian cleared their throat, maintaining their composure. “I mean, really, I know it seems like I’m an expert escape artist, but the gods decided to trade out my smarts for a boatload of good looks.”
Supervillain turned around, one brow arched, arms folded across their chest. Their dry stare raked over Civilian, from head to toe.
Then they scoffed.
Civilian gasped in an artfully exaggerated fashion, taken aback. “You just don’t understand the meaning of true beauty.” They leaned their head back into their seat, fluttering their eyes.
“You’re a bold one,” Supervillain mused, approaching Civilian. “I’ve never caught a bold one before.”
“What am I, a fish?” Civilian smirked, but went still as Supervillain stopped in front of them.
A frown crossed Supervillain’s face. “You really don’t seem to understand your place of power here.”
Some kind of hysterical laughter bubbled up in Civilian’s throat, but they held it down. “Honey, I’m not your average-looking civilian. You’re a notorious outlaw who resembles the look of an emo teenager. I’d say we’re on even playing field here.”
Supervillain’s icy expression didn’t falter. They stepped closer, bearing over the bound Civilian.
Civilian, although intimidated, smirked up at Supervillain. “That’s right, take it all in. I’m just too good to be true.”
“I’ve seen better.”
“Liar,” Civilian huffed. “You must have bad taste. What’re you into, furries?“
“I really am getting fed up with you.” Supervillain fingered the knife at their belt. “I don’t need you alive for bait.”
Civilian ignored the shudder that raced down their spines “What is it with you and the fish analogies? Oh my gods, do you have a fish kink? Is that an actual thing—,”
They stopped talking at the cold bite of blade at their throat.
“Say one more dumbass thing and I’ll cut you,” Supervillain growled. “You think you can just stomp over my dignity like you’re not testing death? You’re like a damn mosquito. Annoying and unyielding until they’re squashed.”
Civilian swallowed around the knife. They were quiet for a moment, then they took a breath. “Hero’s gonna come find me.”
Supervillain removed the weapon from their skin, and Civilian slumped back down into the chair.
“I sure hope they do,” their captor muttered, re-sheathing the dagger.
“Aw, you don’t want me around?” Civilian cocked their head in mocking disbelief. “I think you’ll grow to like me.”
Supervillain, who had begun to stalk back to the corner of the cell, stopped in their tracks. They turned back around. “So you plan on staying a while?”
“Well that’s a rather stupid question.” Civilian tugged feebly on the ropes binding them to the chair. “One could say that I’m a bit tied up at the moment.” They smiled proudly at their own pun. “I’m not going anywhere until Hero swoops in and sweeps me off my feet like a dashing savior.”
Supervillain sighed. “It’s taking everything in me not to strangle you right now.”
Civilian winked. “Ah, choking kink. I’ll write it down.”
The flash of a smile ghosted over Supervillain’s face, but it was so brief Civilian could’ve sworn they just imagined it.
Walking to the cell door, Supervillain jangled the keys in their hand. “Make yourself comfortable…” they trailed off, raising their eyebrows expectantly at Civilian.
“The name’s Civilian.” Civilian grinned.
Supervillain nodded once. “Have fun talking to yourself for a couple of hours. I’ve got a Hero to take of.”
Civilian furrowed their brow. “Wait, I thought you said you wanted—,”
The cell door slammed shut, cutting Civilian off before they could finish their sentence.
Damn.

Your stuff is so good!! You should write a villain x weapon designer civilian snippet :0
Thank you, thank you, friend! Also, I’m loving the idea of that dynamic, so here you go!
CW: Weapons, unconsciousness, knockout gas
...
“Move and I’ll blow your head off.”
The ridges on the gun's metal barrel dug sharply into Civilian's hand, but they managed to keep their aim and voice steady as they pointed both at the villain in front of them. The criminal was currently backed up against the train doors, hands in the air, gas mask dangling nonchalantly off two fingers.
The villain raised their brow. "What are you some sort of hero?"
"No talking."
"I've never seen you before. I thought I'd met all of the agency's sentinals in white. Though you're not exactly dressed for the position. Maybe you're not--"
"I said no talking!" Civilian barked, taking a step forward and jerking the gun forward menacingly.
"Ok! Ok!" Villain said. They raised their hands higher. “Touch-y.”
On any other day, Civilian would have been like the other passengers, huddled up together in the far corners of the train or pressed back tight in their seats, as if they could disappear by mere force of will. But today, Civilian had been tasked with transporting their newest prototype to the agency for a demonstration. An electro-pulse gun that they’d tested on no less than five watermelons the night before. They were well acquainted with the damage it could do. They’d ripped the thing from its protective case without even thinking.
“I’ve already alerted the heroes to your location,” Civilian said. “So there’s no point in fighting anymore. Stay still until the next station and you’ll be arrested in one piece.”
“You alerted the heroes?” The villain raised both brows high. “How? I jammed the cell signals over the next twenty miles. Unless…” They grinned. “You have some other form of contact. You do work for the agency, don’t you?”
“Have you listened to a thing I've said? No more questions!"
“You’re the one who keeps chatting, darling. What? Nervous?”
Yes. And no. Their body was alight with adrenaline, every nerve a buzzing, quivering charge, and yet at the same time, they were surreally confident, gut numb and mind blank.
Villain pushed lightly off the doors with their elbows, taking a small, probing step forward. “Would you even really shoot?”
“You really want to try me?"
“You heroes make a lot of talk but not much action. What, don’t you have a code? 'Do no harm' or something like that? Besides, you're so cute." Another step forward. "I don't think you've ever been in a fight, let alone killed someone, so why don't you just--"
Civilian aimed the gun at the ceiling and squeezed the trigger. The energy projectile punched through the metal with ear-splitting BANG! The passengers shrieked. Villain knocked back against the doors with a thud.
The wind whistled loudly overhead as the air whooshed over the new gap in the roof, and after that shot, their ears might as well have been stuffed full of cotton, but even if they couldn't quite measure their own volume, they fixed the gun back on Villain's head and drove their point home.
“I’m really trying not to traumatize all these lovely people with the visual of your head exploding, and honestly, I’d really rather not kill you. But if you press me…if you doubt me, you’ll be dead faster than you can question me again.”
Villain gripped their mask abit tighter but their expression remained smooth and their posture loose. They whistled a long low note. “You’re something else, gunslinger. When this is all over, feel free to look me up anytime.”
“Fortunately, I don’t frequent prisons.”
“Me neither." Villain flashed a broader grin, full of white teeth and pocked with a dimple on one side. "Looks like we have something in common.”
The train screeched, the deceleration sending everyone lurching a bit to the right. In that exact moment, when Civilian's gun swayed a few centimeters off target, the villain's free hand shot to their belt.
"Hey!" Civilian shouted, stumbling a little as the train came to a complete stop. Villain tossed something small and round to the floor. Ping! Ping! It bounced twice, rolled a little into the aisle, and exploded in a cloud of cool fog. No not fog. Gas.
Civilian immediately turned their face into their shoulder, tipping the gun even further off target. The whole train car shrieked while Villain calmly pulled the gas mask over their head, obscuring the beginnings of an infuriating grin. Civilian opened their mouth to launch another threat but immediately choked on the sickly sweet gas. It raised around them so rapidly, they could barely see the nose of the weapon let alone, Villain. Not to mention...everything was getting sorta...slanty...
"S-sleepin'gas?" they slurred.
"I was never here to harm any of you." Villain's muffled voice seemed to come from all directions, echoey and distorted.
Civilian fell to one knee. Was it normal to feel like their head was buzzing?
"You made a really cute gunslinger, though. Like a western sheriff. Or an outlaw. Bet you'd be good in a holdup."
The train doors hissed as they opened. As some of the gas slipped free, they caught a glimpse of the Villain's shoulder as they darted out onto the platform.
The gun suddenly felt so heavy in their arms but they forced it up anyway. The barrel tipped to and fro, and their finger trembled on the trigger. They wanted to risk a blind shot, but there could be dozens of people standing outside on that platform. If they hit anyone else...
Their vision blurred, then blackened. They barely managed to set the gun down on the metal floor before passing out over top of it.
When they awoke, they were in the agency medical wing. They recognized it immediately by its obnoxious orange bedsheets and, well, Keith. Sort of hard to miss a giant, shining man in hero-white scrubs.
Civilian slowly pushed themselves upright. Their head throbbed with the movement, and they let out a rogue groan.
Keith turned away from the figure two beds down, covered from head to toe in bruises and now enveloped in their own cocoon of white luminescence.
"Civilian!" Keith beamed, light glimmering off his teeth. "You've regained consciousness! Any pain?"
Civilian rubbed the bridge of their nose. "Just my head... Was I hurt?"
"Not necessarily." Keith pressed both large hands to the sides of Civilian's skull. Civilian closed their eyes as they healer's glow wrapped around their head. Warmth trickled over their face and under their skin, ebbing the pain away little by little. "Just a very large dose of some sort of gaseous anesthesia. Luckily, there have been no long-term consequences so far. The ventilation created by the hole in the roof probably lessened some of the potency. Your handiwork?"
The events on the train rushed back all at once. They pulled out of Keith's grasp.
"Did we get them?" They looked rapidly around their bedside. "Where's my pulse gun?"
Keith stepped back and leaned against the empty bed beside Civilian's. "The gun is in weapons testing, I think."
"And the villain?"
"No. They escaped. We arrived just moments too late before they must have blended with the crowd.
Civlian threw themself back against their pillows with a heavy sigh. "Great."
"You still helped. You stopped Villain from completing whatever they originally planned and provided many citizens with immediate medical treatment by calling us in."
"Oh yeeeeah, I'm sure the whole team was just dazzled by my competence and quick-thinking. Especially when I couldn't hold Villain in place on anything but a moving train."
Keith frowned. "You don't need the title to be a hero."
"Thanks, Keith, that's really nice and heartfelt, and I'm sure you believe it, but seeing how you do have the title, and no one in power here thinks the same, it doesn't really mean that much to me."
Keith frowned but luckily didn't argue any further. Civilian knew they were being rude, but they really didn't need anyone else telling them that they were special the way they were. That they could do good their own way. That being a hero didn't even matter that much. It mattered a whole lot to them. And now they'd practically proven the entire agency right.
"What were they even doing on that train?"
"Robbery?" Keith shrugged. "Knock out the passengers and loot all their valuables."
"Alone?" Civilian traced the lines of the ceiling panels with their eyes. "They didn't even have a bag. How much could they have gathered if they planned on knocking out an entire train?"
"We don't know they were alone. They could have easily had accomplices posing as civilians throughout the train."
"True... Does the agency have a file on them? Tall, skinny, long black coat, annoyingly perfect eyebrows. Didn't show a power."
"I could look...but I'm not supposed to share that sort of info outside of other heroes..."
"Come on! What was that whole, 'you don't need a title' nonsense?"
"It wasn't nonsense! You are a hero! Just...not a legally sanctioned one."
Civilian sat back up and lowered their voice. "Come on, Keith. I'm not going to do anything; I'm just curious. You don't even have to give me the whole file. Just take a couple pictures of anything you think might also be on the news."
Keith grimaced.
"Please? I was so close today. So close to being what I always planned to be... Just let me chase that high a little longer. Then I'll go back to the weapons lab and never mention it again. Promise."
Keith inhaled a long breath, letting it out in a loud, irritated sigh. "Ok, fine. But don't bring it up to anyone. Ever. And I'm only giving you the first page."
Civilian's insides sank a little; they weren't sure what a first page of a villain file looked like, but they could assume it wasn't much. But they couldn't really be picky, so... "That's fine. Just the first page is perfect."
Keith looked like they had hoped that detail would deter them, but he continued on. "It might take awhile. I'm a hero, but I'm a healer, so no one is expecting me to march into the files room and request info on villains."
"That's ok, I can be patient. I work in weapons, remember? That's like the ultimate test in being patient."
Keith slid a hand over his face. "Ok. I'm also going to need more detail than 'annoyingly perfect eyebrows.'"

What fucks with me is an evil, despicable character, lost and alone while violently ill – abandoned without anyone to care for them... And then someone Finds them.
Someone who has no connection to them or isn't even remotely aware of their actions. To them, it's just a stranger that looks to be on the brink of death. As the villain, who's got more blood on their hands than they can brag about spilling, collapses onto the ground, this person rushes to them, completely unaware they're about to save the life of someone who's not worth their time.
However, I'm tired of this trope ending up with the villain back to their old ways in an instant. If that's your thing, sure – but I always find it annoying. Sometimes, I think, it takes a monster facing its own death to realize they should treat people better – were it not for mere coincidence, death would have swallowed them whole.
Instead, it only got to graze them – because someone cared. For once, someone cared, and the villain didn't plan to use it against them.

Short #4
Civilian wanted to cry, their eyes burned at the sinking feeling of disappointment, flowers already broken at the stems, petals falling from the bouquet.
"There you are," Villain smiled, warmly enough Civilian could almost fool themselves that was, as they pretended, their old friend, the one they always knew, the one they wanted to ask out before getting into all that mess "I've been looking everywhere for you."
But they were not.
Villain's shadow darkened the small closet more so that it was before, illuminated only by the dimed brightness of Civilian's cellphone, and the light from the corridor outside, yet, the towering figure emanated a suffocating kind of obscurity that made the person inside feel their stomach as if riding a rollercoaster, falling quickly and seemingly, endlessly.
There were others outside, Villain's fast glances and smiles behind them, at the sound of whispers, made it obvious.
Villain extended their hand, their face still showing a smile, Civilian looked away trying, and failing, to appear determined, ending up feeling so small at their neverending tremors.
"They mean no harm to you, not with me here," their assurance met with silence, a shaking lack of acknowledgement, the criminal frowned for a moment "of course they are not very patient. I know you’re upset, I’ll take you home. Come on.”
And what other choice did they have.
Hesitating for a moment, Civilian took Villains hand, aided by the pull the other gave, they stood up with trembling legs, guided by hand to outside the building, the office building in the middle of the city.
How could have they known? They tried to justify.
When they reached the car, the same old car Villain had always had, modern and way over Civilian possibilities, they stood unmovable before the door opened for them, in the front (and luckily not in the trunk).
“I’m sorry,” they whispered, head bowed down “I shouldn’t have followed you.”
“I’m sorry too. For what’s worth, I would have loved to go out with you.”
“Are you going to kill me?” they asked, wanting to keep a semblance of calm, failing as tears ran down, and the hold back of sobs made them shake harder.
“What? No, of course not,” Villain answered, taking Civilian’s head between both hands, gently twisting their head to face them, thumbs wiping off their tears “But I can’t let you run around with what you know now, I know you can understand.”
A whimper, Villain shushed them, guiding them inside the car, fastening the seat belt and giving a quick kiss to their forehead.
“I trust you to behave.”
Then, they closed the door.

Short Prompt #1317
"Are you certain we can't do this the hard way?" the civilian asked, leaning forward in their restraints. "I mean, come on. I was expecting something much more exciting than this!"
The villain could only shake their head in disbelief. "You are truly the strangest hostage I've ever kidnapped. You want me to beat you up?!"
