“Hey, is Kane in there?” You ask Bellamy, motioning to the room at the end of the hall that he’s coming from. “I’ve been looking for him everywhere.”
“Yeah, he’s in there with Abby.” He nods, pace slowing. “Hey, a few of us are going into Sector Seven, do you want to come with?”
Your face twists, “No, I’ve got other plans. Who’re you going with?”
“Octavia, Raven, Monty, Jasper, and Miller.”
“You’ve got a full crew.” You wave your hand. “It’ll be crowded if I go. You guys be safe, though.”
“We’ll try. What are your plans?”
“Sneaking out.” You grin. “I’ll catch you later.”
You turn away, walking down the rest of the hallway. When you glance over your shoulder, you find that Bellamy is gone, moving much faster than you. You stop outside of the room, raising your fist to knock on the door to announce your presence, and then Abby speaks.
“I was dreaming we were on the Ark.” Abby pauses. “Before we sent the kids down.” She must get up, there’s a sound of feet shuffling against the floor. She sighs, “Maybe she’s in Sector Seven.”
You close your eyes, picturing the map that was drawn out to mark the territories of the different Grounders. A large portion of it belongs to Azgeda, with Sector Seven being on the bottom right, where Trikru is. It’s not entirely dangerous, but with how close it rides next to Azgeda, it’s not a place you want to be.
“We could send out another search party.” Kane suggests.
“They wouldn’t find her, not unless she’s ready to be found.” Abby says. “(Y/n)’s been trying for weeks, she’s made no progress.”
A man clearing his voice makes you jump out of your skin, head whipping to see where it’s coming from. Sergeant Miller is coming down the hallway, lips pressed together, head tilted disapprovingly.
“What are you doing?”
“I was going to talk to Kane and Abby but I just answered my own question.” You tell him, which isn’t a complete lie.
You were seeking them out to talk about Clarke, and they managed to answer your question without ever knowing it existed. You wanted to know if they were ready to send you—or anyone else—out again. The answer seems to be no. That doesn’t matter to you, you were planning on leaving either way. You just needed to figure out if you had to sneak through the fence or walk out the front gate.
With that, you flash Sergeant Miller a smile, walking away before he can respond. You navigate your way out of the building and out into the open. Arkadia is crawling with people, especially guards. They don’t seem to be on edge today, which might help you later when you come in through the front.
You walk to your tent, which is tucked snugly off to the side, right next to the fence for easy departure. You were told by Abby that you should be staying inside of the building, sharing a room with someone, whatever. You’re no stranger to a tent, when you landed on the ground, you opted for one, for the sole reason of the fact that you don’t want to share a room.
Besides, there won’t be anyone to tell on you.
You flip the flaps open, ducking in as you enter. It’s a fairly small space, holding the essentials. There’s a cot that takes up half of the room, with a pillow, a sleeping bag, and a blanket neatly folded on top. The other side has a table that you may or may not have stolen, a chair, and a lamp. That’s where your backpack sits.
It’s already packed with the necessities, all you have to do is throw it over your shoulder and pull out the knife stuck in the table’s wood. You leave the tent, no one bats an eye in your direction, making for a quicker escape. You pass your backpack through the fence, and then carefully move through it, yourself.
It’s usually electrified, but recently they’ve been knocking it back to preserve the energy.
You take your sweet time escaping Arkadia, not caring whether or not someone sees you, because they know better than to send someone after you. They tried that once before, you managed to lose them in the forest in less than fifteen minutes. By the time you were done and coming back, you retrieved them and brought them home.
It was funny. Well, it was funny to you. Abby and Kane weren’t very happy. You got a lecture and then made a false promise that you wouldn’t do it again. And you haven’t had to, because now people know not to follow you outside of the fence.
The moment you’re hidden in the treeline, you relax some. You set your bag onto a rock, digging through it to pull out your knife. You tuck it into your belt to keep it in range to grab. After you zip your bag up, you start in the direction where you believe you’ve caught Clarke’s tracks the most.
She’s clever, and she’s usually very clean with her area, but sometimes the dirt is squishy enough to be considered mud, and you’ll find a boot print. She’ll leave scraps of food, twine, and broken objects behind. She makes an effort to hide them in the bushes and ferns, yet you’re still able to find it.
It might have something to do with the fact that you’re actively seeking it out, therefore making it easier to find. Of course, it could belong to anybody, but there aren’t really nomads around here. There’s the Grounders, who each have their colony to stay in, and then there’s the people of the sky—your people. And you all stay inside your camp and walls.
You know you’re coming close to Clarke, there’s been a few times where you could’ve sworn you were on top of her. She moves too fast, making it difficult for you to actually nail her down. Clarke doesn’t want to be found. As much as you respect that, it would be safer if she stayed in Arkadia, or with the Commander. Being out by herself is a recipe for disaster, especially since she’s not exactly loved by everybody.
There’s a lot of controversy surrounding Bellamy and Clarke. When they pulled the lever, they killed hundreds of people inside of Mount Weather, but ended up saving just as many by ending it there. However, Jasper’s girlfriend was included in the mix, since she couldn’t bear the radiation.
This would make him crucify Clarke. Bellamy didn’t get the same treatment. If he had, then Jasper wouldn’t be agreeing to go with Bellamy to Sector Seven. Then again, at this point in time, Jasper doesn’t care much about anything. He spends most of his time drunk, with Monty taking care of him. You’d bet your favorite hair tie that he was intoxicated this afternoon.
And also, Clarke and Bellamy have handled their guilt differently. Clarke ran, she couldn’t stand to see the faces of those she loved. She didn’t like being called a hero, when she had to kill so many people. She wanted to solve it in a better way. Bellamy stayed, obviously. He’s straightened out, as far as you can tell, just a little rough when it comes to the topic.
You try not to talk about it to anyone who isn’t willing to. You avoid it, pretending like it didn’t happen, even though you were one of the many teenagers that had been ‘saved’. One of your biggest regrets is not listening to Clarke when she told you that you needed to get out with her.
If you had, you wouldn’t have been tortured by Cage.
You’re still having nightmares about being strapped down on the table, being stood over by them, a needle in one hand, a saw in the other. The thought, even now, makes goosebumps rise over your arms. You watched the procedure happen to three people before it was your turn.
After walking for a couple hours, you decide you can break into your water. You swing the bag off one shoulder, halfway pulling it in front of you. You unzip the largest pocket, shaking the water out of the bag to keep any miscellaneous from falling out while you do so. When you’re done, you close the top halfway, before uncapping the lid.
You press the cool metal to your lips, tilting your head back as you take another step.
A loud snap fills the quiet air, followed by a blinding pain hitting just above your ankle, pulling you down to the Earth. A scream leaves your lips as you fall to your knees. The water canister is gone, thrown several feet away from you. You watch through tear-filled eyes as the water gushes out, soaking the soil and dry pine needles.
“Fuck!” You scream through gritted teeth. “Oh, fuck!”
A wave of nausea hits you before you look at what has your foot trapped. You twist, turning to sit on your butt, allowing you to see the bear trap. Its teeth have sunken into your skin, stinting the blood flow a little. It pools in the puncture wounds, carefully drawing lines down your skin.
This is when your hands begin to shake. Uncontrollably. You reach for your bag, being careful not to jostle your leg. You rip the zippers open, digging through what’s inside, and quickly come to the realization that you didn’t bring a walkie. A habit that you started because of the Azgeda troops that patrol around this area, and their disregard for the truce.
“Oh.” You breathe. You reach for the trap, but you stop when knives begin to get stabbed in your calf, moving up to your knee. “No, no, no.”
You dip your head, clenching your jaw as you wrap your fingers around the teeth. You count down from three in your head, and on one, you try to pry the teeth open. Except, they don’t budge, all they do is move inside your skin, and send streaks of white across your vision.
The lightheadedness is no joke.
One second you’re upright, the next you’re laying on the ground, grass blades tickling your face. You blink, trying to come back to life, but your eyes roll to the back of your head, taking you out.
The feeling of needles in your muscles jolts you up, actually awake this time. There’s a girl leaning over your ankle, her long red hair slightly matted on her shoulders. She lets out a sigh, shakes her head, and reaches for your bag.
“Hey.” Your face twists. “Get out of that.”
She stops, fingers pausing over the pocket where you keep the emergency medical supplies. How does she know where to look? She slowly turns her head, familiar blue eyes landing on you, eyebrows raising. There’s a long moment that passes between you two, as you decide whether or not you’re hallucinating.
“Clarke?” You sputter. “What are you doing out here? Why’s your hair red?”
“Hunting.” She tells you gruffly, turning her back to you once more. “This is going to hurt.”
She doesn’t leave you any time to comprehend, much less prepare, for her popping the bear trap open. The pressure relief is immediate, but so is the aching pain that hits you like a truck. You groan, holding your breath, watching your vision coat with stars.
Clarke goes back to your bag, rummaging through to pull out what you have.
“Where have you been?” You ask. “I’ve been looking everywhere.”
“I know.” She says, voice hard. “You shouldn’t be.”
“Why not?” You shake your head. “I care about you and your wellbeing. I want to make sure that you’re safe.”
“I am.” She tells you.
She pours a small handful of alcohol onto a clean rag. When you suck in a breath to ask her another question, her hand ‘slips’, dumping it into your open wounds. You choke, reaching to grab onto anything to hold yourself steady, but you just pull out a handful of grass, instead.
“You can hold my hand.” Clarke says, a look of remorse on her face. She holds out her palm, and you find it surprisingly clean.
The same can’t be said for her face. She’s got black coal smeared into symbols on her face, which you can’t identify. From a distance, you’d say that she’s dirty and hasn’t bathed herself. There is no smell to accommodate that assumption.
You take her hand, squeezing her fingers. She takes her time dabbing around the several wounds. You watch as the blood doesn’t stop, the way your skin moves, allowing you to see inside of your body. Every time she presses too hard, the alcohol will find its way inside of one of the bite marks.
Before you know it, you’re breathing heavily, picturing the damage this is going to do to your leg. The way you’ll have to clean it, a task you’re not up to doing. You passed out due to pain, this won’t be any different.
“(Y/n), breathe.” Clarke pauses, face twisted. “Just look at me. Forget everything else.”
“That’s hard.” You say shakily. “Because you’re cleaning out my leg.”
“I know.” She looks off to the side. “How about you ask me a few questions?”
“Are you sure?”
“You came all this way.” She murmurs. “Go ahead.”
“Why’s your hair red?” You ask.
She hesitates, “It’s blood, from my hunts. I did it to hide myself.”
“You don’t wash it?”
“I don’t want to risk being caught.” She shrugs. “You can ask me anything, and you decided to start with my hair?”
You laugh, and then wince, “Fine, when are you coming back?”
Clarke doesn’t say anything for a while, and then it extends beyond a minute. You’re afraid that you’ve ruined the conversation, so you keep quiet. She sighs, “I don’t know.”
“Have you been thinking about it, at least?”
“Yes, but it’d be better if I didn’t right now. It’s not safe.”
“Why?” Your face twists.
“Just…” She shakes her head. “Reasons, I can’t explain them to you right now.”
“Clarke, you know you can trust me.” You tell her.
“It’s not the right time.” She says back. “I’m going to bandage this for you. We shouldn’t stay out here for long, it’s going to get dark.”
She leaves no room for argument, taking her time with the sterile white bandages, breaking it off and tucking it into itself. She pulls you up and onto your feet, where you lean against a tree for support. You can’t put any weight down on your ankle without a blistering pain going through your whole leg.
“I won’t be able to make it back on my own.” You tell her.
She zips up your bag, swinging it onto her free shoulder. “I know, I’ll bring you as close to the gate as I can. Can you walk? I’d be happy to carry you.”
“I’ve got it, I just need you for support.”
Clarke closes the gap between you two. You put a hand on her shoulder, gripping it tightly as you take each step. “Thank you, Clarke.”
“It’s no problem, (Y/n).”

# GOLD RUSH
pairing: kate martin x teammate!reader
word count: 1780
warnings: none !
summary: kate being the cutest most adoring girlfriend ever while you get ready on live.
⭑ from lani: this was heavily inspired by this video bc kate actually might be the cutest human to ever walk the earth ty
masterlist !
"WHAT IS UP guys, welcome back to yet another game day prep," you greet to the camera propped against the mirror in front of you, "today we are going up against lsu, so there's gonna be a lot of tension in the arena today."
user1: hi y/nnnn
user2: is caitlin there?
user3: team lsu lol
user4: y/n what shampoo/conditioner do u use??
it's become a tradition for you to go live and do a little "get ready with me" on the most highly-anticipated gamedays, as you wanted to get fans excited for the face-off.
the first one you hosted got lots of love, viewers falling in love with your bubbly personality and witty remarks to your teasing teammates.
you were currently in your hotel bathroom, one you shared with your teammate, gabbie marshall. but all the girls have borderline separation anxiety, leading to half the team hanging out in your room as you all prepare yourselves for the game.
"are you on live?" you hear a voice whisper. turning your head, you see kate peeking hers into the bathroom a small smile on her face.
"yeah," you reply sweetly, "you wanna say hi?"
she nods, immediately sliding the door open to join you.
"looks like we have a special cameo today, folks, y'all got lucky," you laugh
"hi, live, how you guys doin?" kate says.
as you begin doing your skincare, you see kate take a seat on the closed toilet in the corner, carefully observing your routine.
"you okay, babe?" you ask with a grin once you notice her puppy-dog like stare. the nickname slips from your lips like first nature, appearing cordial to the camera but the two of you know the hidden meaning.
user1: help kate looks so starstruck wtf shes adorable
user2: omg wait i use that same moisturizer
user3: "BABE"?
user4: not kate just sitting on a damn toilet LMAOO
you and kate have always been close, ever since your freshman year at iowa. on the court you two bounce off of each other's energy constantly, frequently managing to raise the stakes of the game.
fans have noticed it too, of course, with proud taps after one of you makes a shot and suspiciously long post-game hugs.
the team is fully aware of your private relationship, respecting your wishes of secrecy. there have been pointed questions from reporters and interviewers, but you all know how to dodge a personal question one way or another.
a few minutes go by of you telling a funny story from the bus ride to the hotel, consisting of caitlin getting caught on video singing horribly off-key. with promises of posting the recording later that evening, you and kate both laugh at the memory.
as you start on your light makeup look, you begin reading some comments popping up on your screen.
user1: thoughts on reese and clarks rivalry??
user2: wheres caitlin and gabbie
user3: y/n can u say hi alyssa
user4: what are your guys' top 3 music artists
"'thoughts on reese and clark's rivalry?'" you read, "i mean, they've said it before, there's no bad blood between them, just some good old basketball competition," you state with a small smile as you start blending in a light layer of skin tint.
"yeah, i mean some light-hearted teasing and trash-talking always makes a game more fun in my opinion," kate chimes in, "especially when it leads to an increase in viewership."
"for sure, for sure," you smirk at her in the corner of your eye, sneakily suggesting your own dating rumors circulating before every game.
"'top three music artists?'" kate reads, "dude, mine changes 24/7 so i have no idea anymore."
"ooo," you contemplate the question as you look up in thought, "gotta be taylor swift...sza...anddd frank ocean? no, kehlani! wait actually-"
"i don't think you know either, y/n," kate laughs.
"oh whatever," you say, rolling your eyes playfully, "speaking of music, can you put some on?"
"i gotchu," kate responds, picking up her phone to connect to the bluetooth speaker on the counter.
soon enough, you hear the familiar tune of "gold rush" by taylor swift, a song publicly known to be your favorite (kate knows this, naturally, which is why she played it first).
once she notices your stretched grin and quiet hum to the lyrics, she mirrors your expression, feeling light in her chest at the sight of your happiness.
she stands up from her spot on top of the toilet seat, slowly coming up behind you to observe you even closer.
the two of you make eye contact in the mirror, immediately blushing and smiling like madmen. and, of course, nothing goes unnoticed by the live watchers so comments of you two rush in.
user1: aww the way they smile at each other im crying
user2: okay when is it my turn to get a gf like y/n or kate 😢
user3: not kate stealing my gf..
user4: they gotta be dating right??
you and kate scan over the messages, trying to keep a straight face as to not give away anything.
"kate can you do me a favor and get my setting spray from my suitcase? its in a clear bottle with a pink cap," you ask her, but shes too entranced by your beauty to hear.
"sorry, what was that?"
you giggle, "my setting spray please?"
"oh! okay, be right back, guys!"
you return your focus to your makeup and the song playing, the melodies too addicting for you to not sing along.
as kate comes back into the fairly spacious bathroom, you thank her for getting your spray, placing it on the marble counter. she reclaims her spot behind you, continuing to watch you work as if you were the most interesting movie she'd ever seen.
she wishes she could place her arms around your waist and rest her chin on your shoulder to whisper sweet words into your ear. sadly, for the sake of your private relationship, she had to settle for admiring from afar (which is really only like a foot away from you).
"y/n!" you hear one of the girls call out from the bedroom, "can i borrow your eyebrow gel? i forgot mine in my room!"
"sure, it's in here, come grab it!" you yell back. a few seconds later, jada comes sauntering into the bathroom, immediately taking notice of kate's presence and the phone displaying your every action.
"oh my gosh, heyy livee," she smiles, waving her fingers at the camera.
user1: omg jada ilysm
user2: still waiting on catilin tbh
user3: JADA!!
user4: my fav girls :((
as you apply small amounts of blush to your cheeks, jada stands next to you fixing up her eyebrows wih your gel. and, yes, kate is still behind the both of you. she has begun to fix her hair into her signature ponytail braid, quickly maneuvering her dirty-blonde locks with ease after working the style for so long.
"my teammates are so prettayy," she exclaims to the livestream once she'd finished with her hair.
"you're prettyy," jada replies, singing.
"pretty beautiful," kate sings back while you're simply giggling at the girls' antics.
you're too concentrated on curling your lashes correctly to notice that kate was specifically gazing at you with that last comment, nothing but pure love and admiration behind her words.
jada, who is now out of the frame and catching kate's longing stare in your direction, turns around to face her, mouthing: "you're so whipped."
kate playfully shoves her out the bathroom and returns to her former seat on the toilet.
"okay, guys, sorry we haven't been talking to y'all that much," you say as you step back from the mirror, "the last step of my makeup look is to apply some setting spray that, thankfully, the lovely kate martin has gotten for me."
"wait, can i do it?" kate asks, eager to help you out.
"yeah, come over here," you respond.
kate shoots up and over to you and takes the bottle from your hand. her fingers brush against yours for a split second, sending a tingly feeling throughout your body. at this point, you don't even need to put blush on, kate's subtle touches bringing more than enough color to your face.
"i'll tell you when to stop, okay?"
"okay, close your eyes for me," kate mumbles, putting a delicate hand on your shoulder.
obliging, you feel light spritzes of mist fall on your face as kate controls the bottle nervously, not wanting to mess up.
"don't hold back, i'll tell you when it's good, don't worry," you laugh.
almost a whole minute goes by, which slightly concerns your girlfriend.
"more??" she exclaims.
finally, you tell her you've received a good amount, opening your eyes to look at her. you're instantly met those blue eyes youve grown so fond of. and again, you can't keep the smile off your face when she maintains eye contact in an irritatingly addictive manner. you practically forget about the phone pointed on the two of you, stuck in your own worlds.
"gametime, guys, let's go!" you hear a voice echo, snapping the two of you out of your trances.
user1: OMG WAS THAT CAITLIN
user2: i know my wifes voice when i hear it
user3: are we just gonna ignore the eye contact between kate and y/n??
user4: yall r so delusional lmaoo
returning to your phone, you pick it up off the mirror and follow kate out of the bathroom.
"okay, guys, hopefully you enjoyed today's live," you cheer, "make sure to tune in to espn tonight to watch the game!"
you hear an overlap of voices, each one saying goodbye to the viewers.
"bye live! see you soon!" from kate.
"bye my lovely people!" from gabbie.
"mwah love you guys see y'all at the game!" from jada.
"go hawkeyes!" from caitlin.
you snicker as you watch more and more comments about caitlin pour in, your followers going crazy at a small glimpse of their favorite athlete.
as soon as you end the live, everyone begins rushing out of your hotel room and down to the lobby to wait for the bus. hurriedly, you grab your backpack and make your way towards the door, but an eager hand pulls you back.
before you know it, a set of soft lips is placed against your own and two hands are glued to your waist. instead of jumping in surprise, you immediately melt into the kiss, finding comfort in your girlfriend's familiar embrace.
"sorry," she blushes once you pull away, "been wanting to do that all day."

Lois had left him, she had packed her bags and walked out the door. Though she wasn’t expecting him home, which explained the shocked look on her face when he walked through the front door, seeing her bags packed and her keys in her hand. Clark watched her leave before flying off anywhere that could keep his mind off her. He stumbled upon a certain building that caught his eye, the flashing sign that read ‘The Strawberry Shack’ caused him to become curious, so he landed and walked in.
Listening to the woman at the front as she explained things, his face turning red, jaw clenching and his brows furrow as he realised the type of establishment he walked into. “So, sugar. What’s it gonna be? Door one or door two?”
“Uh… What the hell. Door two.” He pulls out some cash and hands it over before walking toward the door, he can feel his mind go crazy as he enters, never seeing this many naked women before. Clark could feel a pull towards a certain woman, not being able to control his feet as he walks in your direction. He’d have to remember to be careful, not wanting to literally split you open from his strength. “Hello.”
Clark was mad and you could practically feel that radiating off him. So, you spread your legs, inviting him in for him to use you however he pleases. “I can feel your anger, handsome. Why don’t you use me, take it out on me.”
Clark glares down at your sopping cunt, licking his lips as he feels himself harden in his pants. His hands move subconsciously, taking his cock out and stroking it as he stares down at you. A groan slips from his lips before he begins to slowly push inside of you. Clark’s eyes slip closed as he revels in the feel of a new woman, slowly thrusting in and out of you, hands gently gripping your hips as he feels you squeeze around his thick girth.
“Oh, you feel so good. Fuck me, please.” You let out a breathless moan, your back arches off the bench as he begins to slam into you, hitting that spot deep inside of you. Clark begins to lose control, thrusting faster and harder, his cock throbs as he really fucks you. He grunts and groans, tightening his grip slightly, his eyes glow red as lasers shoot from his eyes and he quickly blinks.
“Fuck…” His balls tighten, hips jerk as he growls, releasing thick ropes of cum inside of you, coating your tight walls. He continues to roughly fuck into you until his balls are empty, enjoying how you squirt around him. “F–fuck…” He pulls out slowly, cleaning you up before tucking himself back into his pants. “I–I’m so sorry! I shouldn’t have… I’m sorry.” Clark quickly worries, hurriedly running out the door and flying off, feeling ashamed for using you for his pleasure.
You lie there, staring above as you can barely feel your legs, tingling between your thighs as stars cover your vision and a dopey smile rests on your face.

The truth lays within jealousy- Bellamy Blake

Warnings: basically just cursing and knife play
Summary: Bellamy's your enemy but things begin to take a turn once you start fighting to push through emotions you feel towards each other.
Bellamy Blake made my blood boil, and I prayed I made him feel the same way. I was best friends with his sister, Octavia. Meaning, I had no choice but to be in the same tent or room as him. The rivalry between Bellamy and I formed when the 100 first came to Earth. We were on dividing sides, he had everyone in his control and made them feel free but that ended dangerously. I was with the group that wanted to help and make sure we survived.
“Do you always have to disagree with me, Blake?”
He turned to look my way, his hand resting on the map below our waists laying on a table. “Do you always have to have disagreeable ideas–Kane?” He spit my last name out as if it left a bitter taste.
I’m just thankful he didn’t call me that other name, the one he knew I so deeply despised. My eyes rolled on instinct, “You’re such a dick, you are aware of that flaw right?”
He glared my way, “You always keep me aware don’t you, princess?”
I fucking hated him, “Don’t call me that, Blake.”
“What will you do if I say it again?”
My father made me train with guards on the Ark since I was a child, I could easily take Bellamy, and him forgetting that made me always want to remind him. I stabbed my knife into the wood table and as soon as I did Octavia walked in.
She moved the tent opening away, “What is going on?”
Bellamy folded his arms making his muscles fight with his shirt. I tried my best to not stare but as much as I loathed this man and wished him nothing but the absolute worst–he was the formation of my desires. And that left lingering resentment. “Your friend is threatening me, O.”
I unstuck the knife and pointed it at him from the other side of the table as I talked, “He was testing me, Tavia. It’s his favorite pastime,” I said staring harshly at Bellamy.
“How about you both go train, maybe away from each other? You can work with Murphy and I’m sure you can find someone, Bell.”
I gave a half smile, “I’m sure every–what’s the number now?” I made it look like I was deep in thought, “Like 50 girls now? Are willing to train with you, you know your way around the 100, Blake.”
Bellamy gave me dead eyes as his jaw clenched. I struck a nerve. “O, get out.”
Octavia usually hates when Bellamy orders her around just cause he's older than her but she listened without a fight this time. She knew I crossed some form of a line. She mouthed sorry to me and walked out.
I moved over to him, my knife laying close to his throat. He didn't care, he didn't even bat an eye. He almost smirked at the notion.
“Tell me, princess, was I supposed to pent up everything I was feeling like you do? Tell me, how's that going for you?”
My eyes widened a bit, “I’m sorry do you want me to just go sleeping around with every dude on this earth because what? I can’t deal with my emotions correctly?”
He bit his tongue.
“I guess maybe I should take your advice because I see how greatly it’s been going for you. The known asshole you only go to for a hit and quit it.”
Bellamy eyed me, “Is this you trying to offer up, princess?”
My breath was shaky, I scoffed, “Go float yourself.” I stormed out of the tent and went to the only place inside Arkadia where you could blow off steam. The training spot. Bellamy usually overwatches, sometimes with Lincoln so I wouldn’t be surprised if he made his way over here.
Murphy made his way over to me, “Need a partner?”
I nodded my head and decided to not take my anger out on him–at least not with words. “Yes, but I can’t promise I’ll go easy on you, Murphy.”
He smiled as he got into his stance, “I didn’t expect you to. I remember seeing you training from time to time with soldiers. I’m going to have to bring my A-game now.”
I laughed and it made me feel a bit better, say what you want about Murphy–but his sarcasm and wit will always make you laugh. I got into position and Murphy punched towards me and I moved my hand fast enough to push it away and block it. We kept going back and forth, not taking it seriously.
Soon, as expected Bellamy appeared. He crossed his arms as he analyzed our performances. Suddenly both of us began to take it a bit seriously, but I chose to ignore Bellamy. He knew I was holding back, it showed in Bellamy's face.
“Let me try.”
I ignored him but Murphy stopped fighting, I tried to regain my breath. Murphy was like Bellamy’s sidekick since the beginning, that faded and nobody tried to make an enemy of Bellamy. Like it or not he did run a lot of things we live by. Especially with Clarke gone.
He got into position and I immediately went to attack. I moved close and elbowed his face causing him to move forward. I went straight for a kick to his bent knee and easily got him down. When getting up his hand stayed on my thigh as he rised up, it was like he was purposefully trying to mess me up. That could be the only reason.
“Damn Bell, maybe she should replace you as a trainer,” Octavia said while spectating. Monty and Jasper laughed.
Bellamy stood up and hit me immediately in the gut. From the force, I took a couple of steps back, and I cursed under my breath. He shrugged with a grin forming on his lips. When he went to pull another move I grabbed his arm pointed it up, and used my left arm to push down on his arm. I twisted his shoulder and I knew I was causing pain. I had this move done to me and I was in pain for a couple of days.
For a split second, I heard a groan from him, it almost put a smile on my face. “C’mon Blake, are you even trying? If you lose this–I can only assume where you’re going to go to…or who.” Maybe it was a low blow but he pissed me off before.
My fist came towards him and he grabbed my arm tightly, almost hard enough to leave a bruise, and flipped me onto the ground. I tried not to give him the satisfaction of knowing I was hanging onto this fight by a thread. I kicked his stomach and he caught my leg and tried to make me fall but I did the one trick that took me years to master–I kicked with enough force off the ground for a second to gain a stance to be able to kick him back.
Bellamy went to hit me in the face but I got to him first and elbowed him. He spit out blood and turned his head up with a grin as he wiped the blood. He tricked me and by making it seem like he was going for a low attack, I didn’t move up in time to block him and he punched me. My lip began to bleed.
“Guys, I think you should stop now. You proved you both can fight–now stop,” Octavia warned.
We ignored her warning and kept going. I was determined to beat him, and I didn’t have a real reason why. Part of me wondered if this was my only source of letting my emotions go, maybe I wasn’t that different from that man that I hated. We are both stubborn, witted, determined, quick-tempered, reckless, and aggressive.
“One hit and we’re done,” he said. “Better make yours count, princess,” he whispered. The way he made it seem, that nickname was for our ears only. He never said it loud enough for others to hear and I almost preferred it that way. And when he did, he was only focused on me. As if nobody else was on the earth with us.
My thoughts were distracted and he immediately brought me down. My back hit the ground and I winced in pain, my back arched a bit hoping that would help the pain. Before anyone could help, Bellamy quickly moved to my side. “Are you okay,” he asked almost frantically in a low voice. He sounded genuine.
The gaze I had on him changed, it softened even though I was in pain. I was utterly confused. “What are we doing,” I whispered, his back covering everyone’s view of my lips. At best, they’d hear mumbles.
“Your solution to letting your emotions out, remember?” He lightly laughed, “Fuck, we’re idiots.” Bellamy brushed his thumb on my bottom lip, “Truce?”
My brow almost furrowed, “Truce? Does that mean we suddenly don’t hate each other?”
He laughed and began to help me up, “No, definitely not. You’re still the bane of my being.”
I stood up and got my words out fast enough before everyone crowded me to see if I needed Abby, “And you’re still the only person I hate in this world.”
Bellamy slowly backed away as we kept our eyes on each other, everyone kept asking if I was okay but I didn’t reply. I was too fixated on the man I detested. “I’m fine, I’m fine,” I said while brushing past them. The one person who got horrendously hurt was Bellamy, yet he didn’t complain or stop them from helping me.
“I’ll help you to, Abby,” I said putting his arm around my shoulder which felt oddly–right. When I looked back to show Octavia I was going to help him, I just saw a group of disbelieving faces. I’d be shocked too, never would I have ever felt pity or thought of helping Bellamy. “I kicked your ass.”
He laughed as if he didn’t have drops of blood on his shirt, “I’d call it a fair fight.”
“I’d call it my win.”
He glanced at my lips then my eyes, we came to a halt. “You want to finish this?”
I could feel his hand brushing along my neck, “I think we’re probably banned from training together for a bit. Though I think that wasn’t a training session–that was fighting.”
Bellamy’s gaze dropped, he stared at me, almost desperate as if he was yearning for something he never even got to get ahold of for years. His touch became more apparent, he stared at my lips as he talked. “I’m not talking about in the training spot.”
My lips parted and suddenly every feeling I had for him disappeared. Only one stayed- the desire I clung to. Instead of going to Abby, Bellamy and I went into his tent.
It was as if both our strengths had been regain, like we were both pushing our limits to be ignoring our pain to mix it with pleasure. Bellamy took his shirt off with such poise and it made me roll my eyes. I started undressing myself also. My eyes lingered on his chest, God, he was so defined. Like a Greek god or a statue made out of generosity.
"My eyes are up here, princess," he said as he pushes me down onto his bed.
I didn't like how much I secretly enjoyed him calling me princess. "You're so full of it, Blake."
He kissed me roughly, as if we didn't have time to spare to be kind to one another. Our hate lingered and I loved it. I winced in pain because of my lip and that caused him to groan into my mouth. He was making it harder and harder for me to not rush this.
I switched spots with Bellamy, God forbid he lets me control one thing. I kissed down his neck being anything but gentle to the parts I knew he was going to have a bruise at tomorrow.
"Fuck," he whispered.
My hands traveled down his chest and before I could do anything he traded spots with me. "Watch yourself princess, if you keep going- I don't think I can stop myself."
"I don't want you to."
Bellamy used his knee to spread apart my legs. He put his hand around my neck and slowly pushed down so I’d be lying flat on my back. I felt my stomach growing butterflies. “I will be anything but gentle with you–” He paused and stared at my lips. “But I think you can take it.”

— you died shortly after him
— since you'd been ghosts around the same sorta time that tended for you to be closer, but that didn't mean that was any effort short of him trying to win your affection
— being there for each other when being in the middle felt all too much
— him listening to you sing on the theater stage, always making sure to tell you how beautiful he thought your voice was
— as much as it scared him that he was slowly starting to forget the stuff about being alive, he adapted by remembering every little thing about you and what you loved
— something about him felt so familiar to you, safe, warm
— feeling like you could finally relax around him
— you couldn't sleep since you were dead, but wally always made up a cuddle corner in the teachers lounge for the two of you to rest in
— having breakfast, lunch and dinner with each other ended up with you a laughing mess and food all over the floor
— him comforting you when you were worried about the other side, promising that you'd meet each each other over there even if one of you were to go sooner than the other
— him picking you a small bouquet which contained of lots of daisies and daffodils, gently sliding a couple behind your ear
— wally was often very protective over you, being your voice when yours wouldn't come out
— you always stole his jersey, him pretending to get mad. getting back by trapping you before kissing and tickling you
— it didn't take too long for you to develop feelings for each other, just that wally got there first to confess
— you never thought you could feel more alive when you were dead, but when he kissed you?
— it making you feel all giddy, butterflies fluttering wildly in your stomach, your head feeling all fuzzy
— it always being slow and gentle, but deep. his hand placed on the nape of your neck, and the other on your hip pulling you into him
— what could you say you were both head over heels in love with each other

Could you write something for Caitlin? Maybe the reader is dating Caitlin and on the Iowa basketball team with her and she gets injured from a technical foul?
of course you can! thanks for the request!
Twisted Ankle . CC
paring: caitlin clark x reader
synopsis:
༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶
you guys were down by 1 against lsu, the pressure was on and all of you were feeling it. the stadium was buzzing with anticipation as you and the team prepared for the final seconds in the game. while everyone was setting a tight strategy for the remainder of the game, hoping it would clinch another win for iowa, you noticed caitlin across from you. she was in her head again, biting her lip and trying not to get too frustrated.
“Y/L/N, we’re going to seriously need you right here” kate pulled you aside for the remainder of the timeout “you’ve got to get in there, ok?”
you nodded your head, taking a swig of water and wiping the sweat from your brow “you got it”
shortly after, the whistle was blown, signaling it was time to start the clock. you all took your positions, waiting for the game to commence. caitlin stood vigilant, trying to find one of you who was open. you quickly passed by your opponents, trying to get open for her.
almost instantly, she spotted you, attempting a pass in your direction. you went to jump in the air, arms up and ready to catch the ball, but before you get your feet off the ground, a player had collided with you.
you went down, smacking your head hard against the court floor, ankles twisting as your opponent interfered with your landing. it all happened so fast, the pain from your head and ankles shooting through your your body. you felt like the air was knocked straight out of your lungs. your vision was starting to go blurry and your ears were starting to ring.
upon your fall, the whistle was blown and the crowd went silent, eventually noticing you weren’t getting up and gasping with worry. despite your fading vision and lack of hearing, though, you could make out several people surrounding you, trying to tend to your injuries, calling for assistance. some you could tell were medics, others probably from your team, and most definitely caitlin. she was the first one at your side, you assumed, feeling her familiar hands on your face, trying to get you to open your eyes.
“hey, baby, baby you gotta get up” she whispered, voice wavering. from your lack of reply she hollered “hey we need someone over here now!”
you could feel yourself being rolled onto a some sort of stretcher or gurney and being carried into the rehabilitation room (idk lol sorry if this is all inaccurate). figures of people whooshed by you, lights rushing over your head as you were sped down the hall. you could hear the announcers of the game behind you, the game was going to continue without you there.
as you were being tended to, still rushing to get you to a private area to properly take care of you, you felt your remaining vision faltering even more. it was too hard to keep your eyes open anymore, no matter many times the medics tried to keep you awake. eventually, your vision went completely dark.
˗ˏˋ ´ˎ˗
“is she going to be ok?” caitlin asked a nearby medic as they gently placed you onto the stretcher, trying to get as close to you as possible.
“we don’t know what happened other than that she got plowed down pretty good” the medic said hesitantly “it was a pretty nasty blow, but i’ve seen stuff like this before, i’d bet she’s gonna be ok”
she nodded, swallowing her nerves, trying to relax her body. others on both teams gathered around her to try and reassure her that everything was going to be ok. the poor girl that knocked you down was genuinely upset, claiming that she didn’t intend to hit you that hard at all. but caitlin ignored what everyone was saying, trying to not get riled up and focus.
“we’ve gotta finish this, caitlin” kate appeared at her side “i know you want to get back there with her, but there’s just seconds left, you can do this.”
caitlin said nothing, obtaining her position, ready to run out the clock. she was upset that you couldn’t be here, worried that they wouldn’t be able to do this without you. but she powered through, passing the ball to hannah for a beautiful lay up, finalizing another iowa win.
˗ˏˋ ´ˎ˗
“is she awake? can i see her?” caitlin asked a crew member, requesting to see you the second game was over.
“you should be able to go in, but she’s really sensitive to everything right now so…just be gentle with her” she was already bursting through the doors, anxiety racking her body.
she saw you, laying on a cot, head elevated and an ice pack sat neatly on top of your head. you had your eyes squinted shut from the brightness of the fluorescent lights. your left leg was extended, also perched on a pillow, wrapped in layers of gauze.
her heart shattered, seeing you laying there, clearly in pain. she walked over, causing to open your eyes, snapping in her direction.
“hey superstar! you guys did it!” you gave her a toothy grin, trying to sit up.
cait sat down on a stool next to you, taking your hands in hers, kissing the backs of them “no, WE did it, couldn’t have done it without you” she smiled back. “you had me going crazy out there baby, thought i was gonna die”
you tried to lighten the mood with a laugh “eh, i’m fine, just a headache and a sore foot”
“headache? sore foot? YN you smacked your head on the court and twisted your ankle” she ran her hands soothingly up and down your arms.
“ok yea, but i swear i’m fine, please don’t worry about me too much, ok? please?”
“well you made it incredibly difficult to not worry when you went unconscious out there” she retorted “i’m just glad you’re ok, i don’t know what i would’ve done if it were any worse”
“i know, im sorry” you smiled sadly
“don’t be, it’s not your fault” she leaned over, kissing you softly “but you’re going to need a lot of rest and a super awesome girlfriend to take care of you for the next little while”
“oh! know where i can find one?” you teased, playfully nudging her shoulder.
she pretended to scoff in annoyance “ok, i see how it is!” she fake-stormed off, pushing off the stool.
“no wait!” you laughed, pretending to pout in return “come back! you, i meant you, please don’t go!”
she stopped, sauntering back over to you “wouldn’t dream of it” she brushed stray hairs away from your face, smoothing her thumb against the skin of you cheek. “i’ll go grab the team so they can come in and check on you…but after that we’re heading straight home and getting you into a nice bath alright?”
“you trying to get me naked, clark?” you batted your eyelashes.
“for once, i’m actually not” she placed another kiss to your forehead “tonight i just want you to relax, hm?”
“yes m’am” you hummed “i don’t know what i’d do with out you, really. thanks for taking care of me, baby”
“always” she replied.

“Can you get off my Hinge already, Y/N?” George's annoyed voice cut through the blaring music of the pub as he tried (and failed) to snatch his phone out of your hand.
“I'm trying to find you a girlfriend, Georgie,” you retorted, laughing as you dodged his attempts.
You were currently squished into a booth in the pub, sitting next to George, both of you a few drinks in (though you were definitely more drunk than him), swiping away on his Hinge profile and bickering like you two used to back in uni.
Having just moved to London a few weeks ago, tonight was a reunion of sorts. You were meeting up with George and a bunch of other friends from your uni days.
You and him had met in the first week of school, initially sitting next to each other in class, which turned into late-night study sessions and eventually blossomed into a close friendship.
George rolled his eyes. “Oh please, like you’re any better at this than I am.”
“Better at what? Being single or being hopeless at dating?” you shot back, smirking.
“How long has it been since your last relationship?” George challenged, raising an eyebrow at you.
You scoffed and looked back at him. “And how long has it been since you’ve been laid?” you teased, swiping left on yet another profile.
“Oh, trust me, Y/N, I get action,” George shot back, a smirk playing on his lips.
“Oh please, the only action you’ve seen is from your right hand,” you said, laughing at him.
“Well, that’s a lot coming from you,” George countered. “You haven’t dated since that prick from uni.”
“I actually enjoy being single,” you said, shrugging. “All you do is cry about it. You always say you want a girlfriend, but you turn down every girl that approaches you.”
George snorted. “Say that to the pint of ice cream you finished last week in under an hour while watching that chick movie and bawling your eyes out about wanting a boyfriend.”
“Whatever,” you huffed, turning back to his phone. “Oh, you got a match! I’m gonna message her.”
“Absolutely not!” George exclaimed, finally managing to pry his phone out of your hands. “Maybe if you were a little less picky, you wouldn’t be single.”
You looked at him in shock and surprise. “Really? You’re gonna talk to me about being picky?”
“You say that, but you’re the one with the mile-long checklist, not everyone can be as perfect as me, Y/N.” George retorted, shaking his head.
“If you’re so perfect, then maybe we should just date, Georgie,” you said jokingly, nudging him with your shoulder.
The both of you went silent for a moment, staring blankly at each other. Then, simultaneously, you shuddered at the thought. “No!” you both said in unison, laughing.
“God, that’d be like dating my sister,” George said, acting outwardly disgusted at your joke.
You stuck your tongue out at him, making a face.
You two continue your bickering, the atmosphere in the pub buzzing with laughter and chatter from your group of friends. After a while, your friends scatter around the pub, leaving just you and George in the booth. Just as you're deep in banter, an unfamiliar voice interrupts you two.
“Hey man,” a voice said, and you looked up to see a man with blonde curly hair approaching your booth. George got up to greet him, and from where you’re sitting, it’s very obvious that he was quite drunk himself.
"Chris, mate, how drunk are you already?" George asked, as if he had read your mind, with a chuckle, clapping Chris on the back.
Chris laughed, his grin widening. "Chip's pub golf videos always destroy me," he replied, his words slightly slurred as he swayed a little.
Chris glanced over at you, his eyes momentarily focusing as he took in your presence. "Hope I’m not interrupting," he said teasingly, turning back to George, flashing a mischievous grin.
George chuckled and shook his head. "Nah, mate, you're good. Go get yourself a drink and join us." Chris headed off to the bar, and George sat back down.
Chris returned with his drink and slid into the booth, his easy smile and sparkling eyes catching your attention.
“So, who’s your friend?” Chris asked, nodding towards you with a playful grin.
“Y/N, this is Chris, the flatmate,” George introduced, gesturing between the two of you. “Chris, this is Y/N, the best friend.”
“Hey, nice to meet you,” you greeted Chris warmly.
Chris grinned back at you. “George is wrong, you know. I’m the best friend.”
“No, you’re wrong. I've known him longer, so I am his only best friend,” you say, as you laugh at him.
“Don’t need to fight, guys,” George interjects, “There’s enough of me to go around.”
“That’s just not right,” Chris replies, ignoring George. “I live with him. Do you know how much shit I put up with? Surely that makes me his best friend.”
You chuckle, “Okay…but have you had him shotgun a can an hour before a final, puke all over your bed, and then have to clean it up and make sure he gets to campus in time?”
Chris grins, “Alright, but have you had to deal with his shit love life? Or lack thereof? And like have had to listen to him complain all the time.”
You exasperatedly add, “Yeah! Actually, I have,” you say, nodding at Chris.
You turn to George. “Honestly, George mate, you're a mess. I don’t even want to be your best friend anymore.”
Chris nods in agreement. “Yeah, man, you’re kind of a pain in the ass.”
George looks between the two of you, bewildered. “What the fuck is happening?”
You and Chris exchange a look. “Maybe we should become best friends and ditch George,” Chris suggests, winking at you.
“Guys, can we go back to both of you fighting over me?” George says, and you and Chris burst out laughing at him.
You find yourself feeling instantly drawn to Chris's charm. After a bit of small talk, you learn that Chris had been out for a shoot and decided to drop by the pub where George was once he finished. You had heard George talk about Chris before and all the antics they’d gotten up to, but you hadn’t paid much heed to it until now.
And as the night went on and you got increasingly drunker, you found yourself sitting closer to Chris. George already knew this about you; you always got increasingly flirty and bolder when you were drunk—a stark contrast to your sober self.
Usually, George was always one of your victims, jokingly hitting on him to piss him off, and he also always had to keep you away from creepy men when you were drunk. But now, with Chris in the mix, George honestly did not know what to say at the scene in front of him.
(A/N: I have no game whatsoever. Even if I did pull in the past, I was so drunk that I genuinely don’t remember. I did my best I promise)
“You’re pretty cute for someone who’s friends with George,” you say to Chris, a playful smile on your lips as you take another sip of your cocktail.
Chris grins and leans in closer. “And you’re pretty hot for someone who hangs out with him.”
You laugh, inching closer to him and playfully touching his bicep. "I know, I'm just naturally irresistible," you tease, giving him a sly look that hints at something more.
Chris chuckles, his eyes twinkling. “Well, I believe it. If you weren’t George’s friend, I’d have made a move on you the second I walked in.”
You raise an eyebrow, leaning in so your lips are just inches from his ear. “Who says you can’t make a move now?” you whisper, your breath warm against his skin. “Who knows, tonight might be your night.”
Chris’s breath hitches, his gaze darkening. “Is that so?”
George groans. “You two are disgusting. Chris, stop hitting on her. Y/N get away from him!”
You brush off George, leaning even closer into Chris’s touch. “Ignore him, he’s no fun.”
Chris says, "He's just jealous that I’ve got the attention of someone this beautiful," he murmurs back, his lips brushing lightly against your earlobe, his voice low and you hear George scoff in the back.
George rolls his eyes dramatically. “I can’t take any more of this. You two are unbearable.” He stands up, shaking his head. “I’m going to go close out our tab. You better be five feet apart when I get back.”
As George walks away, you and Chris are left alone, practically glued together at this point. “Looks like it’s just us now,” Chris murmurs, his hand migrating to your thigh, his touch sending a shiver down your spine.
You smile coyly, leaning closer to him. “And what do you plan to do now that it’s just us?” you tease, your voice laced with playful anticipation.
Chris chuckles softly, his breath warm against your ear. “When George told me about you, he didn’t mention how incredibly sexy you are. If I had to be around someone as gorgeous as you, I wouldn’t be able to control myself.”
Your heart flutters at his words, and you feel a rush of desire. “Well, it looks like you’re doing a pretty good job of controlling yourself so far,” you reply, your fingers playing with the collar of his shirt.
Chris’s eyes darken with desire. “Who says I’m trying to control myself?” he murmurs, his lips hovering just above yours, lips so close that they are almost touching.
Before things could escalate further between you and Chris, George returned, breaking the intense moment. "Okay, I think it's time to get you two home," he announced.
Despite your protests, he manages to pull you off of Chris. As you stood up, the effects of the alcohol hit you, causing you to stumble. George quickly steadied you, his arm wrapped around your waist to keep you from falling over.
Realizing it was late and knowing you were in no state to go home alone, George insisted you crash at his place, which was closer than yours and the three of you hailed a cab back to the boy’s flat.
Once there, George quickly dumps Chris in his room, before he sets you up in his own bed. He offers you some of his clothes to change out of your outfit and he opts to sleep on the couch for the night.
As you drifted towards sleep, the alcohol slowly wearing off, you couldn't help but rethink the events of the night. All your actions start to blur now, though a wave of embarrassment washes over you. You knew there would be consequences to face in the morning, but for now your body needed sleep.
-------⋆✧⋆-------
The next morning, you wake up with a pounding headache, the hazy memories of the previous night lingering in your mind. As the realization of your interaction with Chris sets in, all you wanted to do was bury yourself six feet under.
You stumble out of George’s bed, groaning softly as your head throbs. Dressed in George's oversized clothes, you made your way to the kitchen, clutching your head, desperately in need of coffee.
As you enter, you freeze at the sight of Chris, who’s already there, shuffling around in the kitchen.
He’s dressed in grey sweatpants and a white t-shirt, his hair tousled and the hangover evident on his face. You catch a glimpse of his abs when he reaches up to a cupboard, and despite your headache, you can’t help but stare for a moment, your brain going to dangerous places.
Chris turns around and spots you, offering a weak smile. You look away slightly embarrassed, fearing that you were caught staring. “Morning,” he says, his voice hoarse as he clears his throat.
“Morning,” you reply, trying to muster a smile despite the awkward tension that has settled into the air.
There’s a long, uncomfortable silence as you both avoid each other’s eyes, the memory of your flirtatious behavior lingering between you. Chris pours himself a glass of water, and you take the opportunity to grab a mug for coffee, hoping the caffeine will help clear your head. “Do you want a cup as well?” you ask, trying to break the silence.
“Huh? No, thanks,” he responds, clearly drawing himself out of wherever he had zoned out to for a minute.
“So, uh,” Chris begins hesitantly, stopping for a moment when you both hear George stirring on the couch. Chris gestures toward the balcony, and you grab your coffee and follow him outside. Once you two are there, you lean against the railing, both of you awkward, neither knowing what to say.
Chris is the first to break the silence, rubbing the back of his neck. “…last night…was something...I guess we were pretty drunk.”
“Yeah,” you agree quickly, trying to downplay your embarrassment. “Pretty drunk.”
He chuckles nervously. “I don’t usually… you know, act like that.”
“Me neither,” you admit, feeling a blush creep up your cheeks. “It was just the alcohol, I guess.”
“Definitely,” he nods, relief evident in his expression. “We can just, uh, forget about it, right?”
“Absolutely,” you say a bit too quickly. But, you feel your heart drop a little, though you don’t know why. Him wanting to not acknowledge what happened yesterday (though it was nothing) makes you slightly upset, but you don’t let it show on your face. You bury your face in your coffee, avoiding his gaze.
It was insane how comfortable you two were around each other last night, and now the air was replaced with this heavy awkwardness that neither of you knew how to break. And the worst part is you couldn’t even remember all that you did yesterday (But you're sure George won't let you forget).
“So, um, any plans for today?” Chris asks, trying to make small talk and pulling you out of your thoughts.
“Um, what? No, nothing. Just gonna get back to my place and crash,” you say, shaking your head. “You?” you ask him.
“Same,” he says. You nod in response, but neither of you knows how to continue. You both stand there, sipping your drinks and stealing glances at each other, the awkwardness palpable.
“So I should go,” you say, trying to get out of that situation as quickly as possible. Chris just nods, and you step back into the apartment, making a beeline for George’s room, just wanting to get out of there and back to your own space as quickly as possible.
All you can think is, what the hell is wrong with you? You weren’t usually like this with people…what is happening?
-------⋆✧⋆-------
After that day, George teased you endlessly about what happened with Chris. Each time, you brushed him off, ignoring his jabs, saying you didn’t want to talk about it or that you didn’t remember what happened, unwilling to revisit the embarrassing memories of that night.
You’d run into Chris a few times when you were over at the flat with George, but those interactions weren’t any better. Your interactions with Chris went from awkward to him just plain ignoring your presence now, and you didn’t know what you did wrong. Combined with how embarrassed you still felt about your actions, you decided it was better to just ignore him as well.
George would drop you knowing looks whenever that happened, but when he saw that you really didn’t want to talk about it, he eventually dropped the topic.
Until today, that was.
“I’m not feeling up to it,” you tell George, speaking with him over the phone.
“Come on, it’ll be fun. Just a movie night with some friends,” George tries to persuade you.
“I don’t know, George. I’m just not in the mood,” you reply, feeling a mix of anxiety and reluctance.
George sighs, knowing exactly why you’re hesitant. “Look, I get that things are awkward between you and Chris. But avoiding each other isn’t going to make it any better. We’re all friends here. Just come over, watch a movie, and relax. You don’t have to talk to him if you don’t want to.”
You hesitate, biting your lip. “I just... I feel so embarrassed about everything. I don’t want to make things weird.”
“See, I don’t know exactly what’s going on with the both of you, but I can tell you’re overthinking it. Things are only as awkward as you make them. We’ll have a good time, I promise. And if it gets too much, you can always leave. Just give it a chance, yeah?”
You sigh, feeling the weight of his words. “You’re right. I’m just overthinking. It’s not a big deal. I’ll see you in a bit.”
“Great! I’ll see you soon,” George says, the excitement evident in his voice.
And that is how you found yourself sitting on the floor in George’s flat, leaning up against the couch with "The Hangover" playing on the TV.
You were bundled up in a blanket, surrounded by scattered cushions, with the smell of popcorn in the air. George was sitting on the couch just behind you, lazily flicking popcorn at your head, which you returned by swatting him on the knee.
“Seriously, George, you’re worse than a child,” you scolded, turning around to look at him as another popcorn kernel hit you on the forehead.
“Can’t help it,” he replied with a grin. You whacked him on the thigh this time, but he still threw another piece your way.
It was just George and the Arthurs for now. Despite your cold conversations with Chris, you couldn’t help but feel a tiny bit disappointed when George mentioned that Chris would be running late. Even with the weird energy between you two, you were kind of maybe hoping to see him today.
You were enjoying yourself, though. You’d met Arthur Hill a few times before and got along really well, and this was your first time meeting Mr. Television (as George liked to call him), and you were having a great time with the boys.
You pull your focus away from George and instead decide to just watch the movie when you hear the door open, and your eyes dart to the entrance. Chris walks in, dressed in dark cargos and a black sweatshirt, his curls messy from the day and it made him look a little rugged, and all you could think about was how good you thought he looked.
He swings his backpack onto the floor and starts taking off his coat, before he greeted everyone.
Your heart skips a beat at how effortlessly attractive he looked. Despite the cold vibes he had been giving you this whole time, you couldn’t deny your attraction towards him.
Outwardly, you were trying to be cool about it, but inwardly, you were itching to know why he was acting like this. You give him a tight-lipped smile as you make brief eye contact, but he quickly looks away, heading to his room.
George noticed the exchange and shook his head slightly. You shot him a look that said ‘stop it’, but you knew he’d bring this up later.
After a few minutes, Chris joins you all, settling on the floor next to you while the others remain on the couch. Other than the occasional instances where you pass him the popcorn, he avoids eye contact, but you can sometimes feel his gaze on you, especially when you and George bicker in loud whispers.
You reach for the coffee table, grabbing a can of seltzer, about to take a sip, only for George to snatch it out of your hand. “George!” you exclaim, swatting him on the arm before you wipe away the few drops of the drink that he managed to spill on your shirt.
You think you hear a chuckle from Chris, but when you turn to look in the direction of the sound, his eyes are glued to the TV.
After a bit, Chris gets up and heads to the kitchen. When he returns, he silently hands you a drink. You take it with a small, surprised smile, touched by the sweet gesture even if things between you two are still a little awkward. "Thanks," you murmur.
He nods in response, his genuine smile making your heart flutter before his eyes flick away from yours, and you feel yourself melt.
As the credits roll on the third film, George nudges you and suddenly pulls you into his room.
“What the fuck is going on with you and Chris?” George asks bluntly, shutting the door behind him.
You sigh, running a hand through your hair. “Honestly, I have no idea. After that day at the pub, it’s been so weird. I don’t even know the guy, and I feel like he hates me or something. Is he like this with everyone he just meets?”
George frowns, looking apologetic. “Not really… Normally, you can’t get him to shut up.”
“I get such cold vibes from him,” you admit, frustration seeping into your voice. “What did I do wrong?… Whatever, I don’t care, but its annoying.” You pause, then add with a small, reluctant smile, “It doesn’t help that every time I look at him, I drool.”
George responds, slightly shocked, “I—I’m sorry, what?”
You roll your eyes and say, “I’ve been single for so long that I’m even attracted to your shitty friend.”
George laughs, shaking his head. “He can get on your nerves, but he’s not that bad. But, he can be a little socially challenged around people he—”
George stops mid-sentence, seeming to have a moment of realization, his expression shifting. “Huh.”
“What? What’s wrong?” you ask, confused.
“Nothing, don’t worry about it,” he says quickly, disappearing out of the room before you can press further.
You stand there confused for a second before you return to the living room, where Arthur Hill and Arthur TV was tidying up. You decide to join them, looking around, wondering where George and Chris had suddenly disappeared to.
You help them gather the empty bottles and snack wrappers, making small talk. Just as you're finishing up, George and Chris reappear, both looking shady as hell, whispering to each other.
You look at George, giving him a pointed look. "What was that about?" you whisper, nodding toward Chris, who was leaning against the kitchen counter with the Arthurs, laughing about something.
George shrugs, trying to play it cool. "Nothing, just guy talk."
You give him a look. "Tell me."
"Really, it was nothing," he insists.
You roll your eyes, annoyed. "Fine, whatever, don’t tell me. I need to get home anyway, it’s getting late."
George quickly checks the time on his phone. "It’s almost midnight. Why don’t you just sleep here?"
"I just wanna be back in my own bed. At midnight is not that late, and I barely live like a 15 min walk away," you explain to him.
"You can just as easily walk home in the morning," he says.
Before you can protest, he continues, "You know what, fine. But I don’t want you going home alone." He turns toward the kitchen and shouts, "Chris! Do you mind driving Y/N back home? I would do it myself…but can’t drive mate."
Chris whips around, looking between the two of you, clearly flustered at George’s request. "Uh, sure, no problem."
You quickly interject, "It's okay, I can get home on my own. I don’t want to trouble you."
Chris clears his throat. "It's no trouble," he assures you, grabbing his keys. "Let's go."
You grab your stuff and walk out the door with him. The ride down in the elevator is silent. You play with your nails, trying to avoid his gaze, while he shifts uncomfortably beside you. When you reach the car, Chris opens the door for you, and you thank him. "Thanks, Chris."
"Don’t thank me yet," he jokes as you both buckle up. "I’ve only had my UK license for a month now, so we’ll see how this goes."
You look at him, slightly alarmed. "Seriously? Get me out of the car."
He laughs, and you join in. "I know how to drive, I just haven’t driven much since I moved to London."
Some of the tension eases, and you both relax a bit. He hands you his phone. "Can you enter your address into the GPS?"
You do, and as he starts driving Chris glances at you, "So, why did you move to London?"
You smile, happy to have a conversation starter. "Work, mostly. And also ‘cause I have friends here.”
He nods. “So, you liking London so far?”
You nod, looking at him as you speak. “Yeah, I like it. But the city gets overwhelming sometimes. Sometimes I just wanna run back home.”
Chris nods in agreement. “Same, especially when I miss my family. And I get it, sometimes you need to get away from George.”
You chuckle, wanting to keep the conversation going. “Be honest with me… how have you not killed him yet?”
He laughs, responding, “I won’t lie, I’ve plotted his murder many a times.”
You both laugh, and the conversation continues, light-hearted and easy. For the first time in like a month, the conversation between you two feels natural. And before you know it, you’d reached your apartment.
"Thanks for the ride, Chris," you say, unbuckling your seatbelt.
"No problem," he replies, his smile genuine. The air goes silent as you both stare at each other.
"Umm... goodnight," you say, quickly getting out of the car, feeling a tad bit awkward.
"Goodnight," he responds, and you gently close the door.
He waits until you're inside the building before driving off, and for the first time, you feel a warm, hopeful sensation in your chest and you can’t seem to wipe away the smile on your face the whole way up to your flat.
-------⋆✧⋆-------
The next day, you and George meet for dinner after you’re done with work. “I can’t believe he’s engaged”, you say as you move your food around on your plate, letting out a frustrated sigh.
“Why do you care?” George asks between bites of his burger. “You hated him by the end of your relationship.”
“I know, but why does someone like him get to be happy?” you sighed. “I’m just tired of being single. Why is it so hard to find someone half decent?”
“Maybe you’re looking in the wrong places,” George says, trying to sound all philosophical.
You raise an eyebrow. “What are you on about?”
He shrugs, laughing as he says, “Maybe you should date Chris.”
You almost choke on your drink. “Chris? Really? Chris? We can barely hold a conversation!”
George smirks. “Didn’t you say you guys got along fine last night? And don’t get me started on drinks last month. And don’t lie to me…you think he’s hot,” he says, making a fake gag face.
“What? No, I don’t,” you protest. “I might be desperate, George, but not desperate enough to date your friends.”
“What’s wrong with dating one of my friends?” George mocks hurt.
“I was kinda hoping that once I got a boyfriend, I just wouldn’t have to see you anymore,” you joke.
George clutches his chest dramatically. “Ouch!”
The drive with him the other day was fine, more than fine and he was kind of sweet actually. You laugh, but the thought of dating Chris stays on your mind, an idea that you might not be all that opposed to. -------⋆✧⋆-------
A week had passed since your conversation with George, and despite trying not to let it affect you too much, you couldn't deny still feeling on cloud nine after that drive with Chris (even if it was barely 10 minutes long).
You and Chris were now following each other on social media. You'd occasionally chat or reply to each other's stories, gradually warming up to each other. You found yourself craving more time alone with him, curious about what it would be like to get to know him better.
But right now, you were looking forward to a quiet weekend in, finally getting to that book you had been putting off for weeks now. With a cozy blanket wrapped around you and a hot cup of tea, you settle onto your couch, eager to dive into your book.
Just as you start to get lost in the pages, a notification pops up on your screen. You peek over at your phone and see a text message from George.
George: Hello best friend Y/N: What do you want? George: Wow. Warm welcome Y/N: Fine. Hiii Georgieeee….What do you want? George: So you know how you are the smartest, strongest person I know 🥺 Y/N: Just spit it out 🙄 George: Can you please come over and help me build that dresser I ordered for my room? Y/N: And there it is... George: So..?  Y/N: No, don’t want to. George: Pleaseeeeee….I’ll buy you food Y/N: No George: Come on, please 😩 Y/N: No….you’re gonna make me do all the work George: I won’t...and I’ll throw in dessert  Y/N: You’re impossible  George: 👀 Y/N: Fine….See you in 10  George: 🫡🙇
With a sigh, you set your book aside and started getting ready to head over to George's place. Not bothering to change out of your comfy sweats, you threw on a jacket and made your way out.
When you arrived at George's flat, you knocked on the door and waited. To your surprise, Chris answered, looking equally surprised to see you. "Hey, Y/N. What are you doing here?"
“George asked me to come over, said he needed help building his dresser”, you explain, and Chris steps aside, letting you step inside.
Chris says, “Hmm, he asked me to help as well, after complaining for a straight 5 mins about not wanting to do it on his own.”
"That little bitch," you huffed, pulling out your phone from your pocket.
Y/N: Where the fuck are you!!??? George: Sorry emergency Y/N: What?  George: Please help a guy out Y/n: Why!? It’s your dresser! George: Chris will help Y/N: Wait George: Bye
You breathed out in frustration, realizing all too well what George was trying to do. Deep down, though, you were somewhat glad to have some time alone with Chris. Fingers crossed you'd be able to hold a conversation today.
You huffed and shoved your phone in your pocket, then turned to face Chris. "Yep, he's ditched us, the bastard," you said, looking back up at Chris who was watching you with an amused expression.
Chris chuckled, and you felt a bit self-conscious. "What?"
"The Powerpuff Girls?" he asked, a small smile curling up on his lips.
"What? I'm here to build furniture, not walk a red carpet," you replied, glancing down at your pajamas, trying to appear nonchalant but secretly cursing yourself for not dressing better. Chris just laughed, shaking his head.
“Great…it’s just the two of us." you said, catching Chris's attention as he looked at the unpacked table pieces that George had left for you.
Chris raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk on his lips. "You act like it's a bad thing."
You chuckled, picking up a screwdriver. "Let's just survive this project together first."
"Survive? Geez…It's just an Ikea dresser," Chris teased, walking towards the scattered pieces.
"Yeah, but have you ever tried assembling furniture with George? He pulls everything out of the box, doesn’t organize anything by the way, then he just gives up and leaves you to figure stuff out," you vented, holding up a loose screw you found on the floor a good distance from the table for emphasis.
Chris laughed, shaking his head. "Can't say that I have. Lucky for me you’re here to pick up the pieces," he joked lamely, and you couldn't help but roll your eyes, letting out a small laugh at his attempt.
"Let’s just build this stupid thing," you said, walking towards the mess.
Chris chuckled. "Yes, ma'am," he replied, looking around for the instruction manual.
Chris sighed in frustration, looking through the jumbled pieces. "Damn, where did George put those instructions?"
"Knowing George, he probably already threw out the instructions with the outer box," you said, half-jokingly. You fear you might be right, shuffling through everything and not finding the booklet.
You sit on the ground and try to organize the pieces, placing everything into neat piles. Chris picked up a piece and moved to place it in what he thought was the right pile.
"No, not that one," you said, pointing to a different pile. "Put that there."
Chris chuckled. "You're a little type A, aren't you?"
You grinned. "That's not the insult you think it is." You laughed lightly, enjoying the banter.
The two of you get on with trying to put the piece of furniture together.
Chris was completely engrossed in screwing in the legs, his brow furrowed in concentration. You couldn’t help but notice how his features hardened with determination, and you find him extremely attractive in this moment.
"You're really into this," you teased lightly, nudging him with your elbow as you passed him the next piece.
Chris glanced up, a playful glint in his eye. "Of course. Gotta impress you with my handyman skills."
You chuckled, kneeling down to align a set of screws. "Impress me, huh? Well, if you can get through this without instructions, color me impressed."
“Prepare to be amazed, Y/N,” Chris replied with a grin, returning to his task.
Your eyes involuntarily lingered on his arms, noticing how his t-shirt hugged his muscles snugly. You found yourself imagining running your hands across his arms and over his chest, remembering how you felt that night when inhibitions were lower.
Chris's voice snapped you out of your daze. "Sorry, what was that?" you asked, needing him to repeat his words.
"No, I was just…" Chris paused for a moment, sitting on the floor, pausing the task at hand. He hesitated as he looked up at you.
"Go on, what is it?" you encouraged him, curious about his question.
He started cautiously, "I've always wondered, why did you and George never date?"
You laughed softly, surprised by the question. “George? I don’t know, it’s just something that never happened. I don't even think either of us ever even considered our relationship to go that way”
Chris gives you a skeptical look, "Really? Not even once?"
"Not even once," you confirmed, shaking your head. "George and I have always been more like siblings."
Chris nodded softly, as if processing your answer. "Good to know."
Though slightly taken aback by his reaction, you chose not to dwell on it for too long.
“How did your shoot go this week?” you ask him.
Chris perks up a little, clearly pleased by your interest. "Oh, it was great! But it did go a lot longer than usual. I'll blame that on Arthur and his terrible football skills. But the audience will never find out. I should probably pay my editors more for making him look somewhat competent at football."
You both laugh, and Chris continues to talk about YouTube and some of his ideas. You can't help but smile at how passionate and happy he sounds when he talks about his work.
After a while, you two pull yourselves out of the conversation and get back to finishing the dresser.
"So, if you had to rate my IKEA furniture-building skills, what would you give me?" Chris asks, a playful grin on his face as the two of you now sit on the couch.
"Hmm," you ponder, pretending to be deep in thought. "Solid seven."
"Seven!?" Chris asks, feigning outrage, leaning in a little closer. "I thought I did pretty good."
"It would be higher, but you get distracted easily," you tell him, the space between you and Chris now barely a breath.
"Well, you were the one distracting me," Chris says, and you're taken aback by his comment. Your mouth falls slightly open, suddenly very aware of the proximity between you two.
Before you can respond, the door swings open, and George walks in, looking between the two of you with a mischievous grin. "Well, you two seem to be getting along well." You quickly get up from your place next to Chris.
You stare back blankly at George, arms crossed over your chest. "How was your... emergency?"
George's grin widens. "All sorted," he replies nonchalantly, before turning around to enter his room. "So which one of you is gonna help me move the dresser into my room?"
You and Chris exchange annoyed looks, then smile at each other, his smile exceedingly tugging at your heart, before you both scream, "Do it yourself!"
-------⋆✧⋆-------
Over the next few weeks, you and Chris had become friends, finding yourself spending time with him more often. You still couldn’t believe that just a few months ago you two couldn’t even look each other in the eye.
However, it seemed like every time you made plans with George or any of his friends, Chris was always there, and you two would magically end up alone together. You didn't think much of it, knowing that as much as you loved George, you hated him meddling in your love life, and he knew that as well. So, there’s no way he was involved, right? (Or maybe, deep down, you hoped that all the time you’ve been able to spend with Chris was somewhat of a sign and not your nosy best friend getting involved.)
You were at George’s place yet again (where else could you be? You only had like two friends) and helping him clean out his closet, stuffing his old clothes into donation boxes.
Slyly, you asked, “Where are the rest of your flatmates?”
George replied, “You know…they’re around,” without making eye contact, his back turned to you.
“And Chris?” you asked, slightly hopeful.
George looked up at you, almost as if he was wishing that you hadn’t asked that question.
You caught his expression, furrowing your eyebrows in worry. “What’s wrong?”
George placed the T-shirt he was folding gently into the box before turning to look at you. “Okay, so don’t get upset.”
“Why would I get upset?” you asked, a little concerned.
“Before I tell you, know that I told him not to do it,” George started.
“George... speak,” you demanded, poking him in the chest.
“Chris is out on a date,” he finally said.
You feel your heart plummet to the pit of your stomach, “Oh, good for him.”
George looked at you, clearly noticing your attempt to hide your disappointment. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I’m okay. Why wouldn’t I be okay?” you said, trying to brush it off and distract yourself by placing more clothes into the box.
“Y/N, come on. You really don’t think I know you better than you know yourself?” he looked at you matter-of-factly and you were struggling to maintain eye contact with him.
“I’m fine, George,” you tell him, trying to get him to drop the topic, but he only looks at you like he doesn't believe you.
“Y/N. I know you like Chris”, he states and you feel your whole body freeze.
“What? No, I don’t,” you retorted, and honestly, even you couldn’t believe the words coming out of your mouth.
“Y/N—”
“George—”
“I see the way you look at him, Y/N, and when he speaks, you hang on his every word,” he interrupts you.
“George, no... Chris and I, we’re just barely friends,” you try to explain to him.
“I know you two had a rocky start, well, a drunk and touchy start,” he teased, dodging the T-shirt you threw at him, “but you’ve grown closer over the past few months and I think you’re just in denial about your feelings. Plus you look like you wanna jump him every time you look at him.”
You sat there on the edge of the bed for a minute, thinking about what George had said. Yes, things were a little iffy at the start, but you had grown to like his company. He was funny, quite sweet, and in recent times, easy to talk to. Not to mention, every time you looked at the man, it was like your brain short-circuited at how hot he looked.
George carefully considered his words before continuing. “You’ve always been like this, Y/N…cautious.”
As his words sank in, it dawned on you.
“Holy fuck, George! I like Chris,” you exclaimed, falling back onto the bed. “How did this happen? I feel like I’ve gone insane. When did I become so blind to my own feelings?”
George watched you in amusement, a small smile playing on his lips. “Took you long enough to admit it.”
“But–-,” you sat up, turning to George who was now sitting on the opposite corner of the bed, “there’s no way he likes me back.”
“Eh?” George responded, confused. “Why would you think that?”
“Because the guy is literally on a date right now,” you say, exasperated.
“So?”
“What do you mean, “So”? If he liked me even a little bit, he wouldn’t be going on dates,” you say, throwing your hands up in frustration.
“Probably because he doesn’t know you like him. Just tell the guy,” he suggests, his face soft, laced with concern.
“I can’t do that,” you look at him, your voice coming out almost broken.
“Why?” George comes to sit next to you, placing a comforting hand on your back.
You take a deep breath before you continue, “Because things just got somewhat good with him. We’re finally past that awkward phase and are friends now. I don’t want to go back to that cold phase when he ultimately rejects me.”
“He’s not gonna reject you, Y/N,” he says, throwing his arm around, pulling you into his side.
“How do you know?” you look up at him.
“For Christ’s sake, Y/N, just tell the guy how you feel.” he says, as he pulls away from you so that you’re both now facing each other.
“No, I can’t do that,” you said, getting up off his bed and heading out of his bedroom.
“What, Y/N! Where are you going?” he asked, following you.
“Home,” you said, making a beeline for the door.
“Why?"
“So that I can go to bed and wake up and forget about all of this,” you said looking back at him, hand now on the door knob.
“Y/N…”
“Bye, George,” you said, before opening the main door and closing it behind you, confusion and uncertainty swirling in your head.
-------⋆✧⋆-------
“Here,” Arthur Hill handed you a drink, and you threw him a quick thanks, quickly gulping down the liquid. Arthur looked at you, concerned. The party was lively around you, the usual chaos of a house party at George’s place.
George had convinced you to come to the party, saying it’d be a good distraction, to get your mind off of things—things being Chris.
George had promised you that Chris was busy tonight and wouldn’t be here, so you reluctantly agreed (though George had to beg a lot more than he was hoping he’d have to).
You had only arrived a few minutes ago, and you already wanted to leave. You just wanted the peace and quiet of your room to contemplate about your doomed love life and drown your sorrows in a pint of ice cream.
“You okay?” Arthur asked, pulling you out of your daze. “You look distracted.”
“Hmm? Yeah, I’m fine,” you replied with a half-hearted smile and you were grateful that Arthur didn’t push any further.
"I'm gonna get myself another drink," you said, and Arthur nodded in response before you navigated through the crowd toward the kitchen.
You made yourself a drink, pouring whatever bottle of alcohol was closest to your reach into your cup, wanting something strong. If you couldn’t drown yourself in ice cream, alcohol would have to do. (Not your smartest idea, but oh well.)
You took a sip of your concoction, the liquid burning as it flowed down your throat. You turned around but just as you were about to head back to find Arthur, when you spotted him. Chris.
He was the last person you wanted to see right now, but you couldn’t take your eyes off him. How did he manage to get even hotter than the last time you’d seen him? (Honestly, it was torture.)
But there he was, talking to some girl you’d never seen before. The sight felt like a punch in the stomach, knocking the air out of your lungs. All you wanted to do was leave. You placed your drink on the counter and set your sights straight at the door. In your haste, you didn’t pay much attention to your surroundings and bumped into someone. Looking up, you saw it was George.
"Whoa, where's the fire?" George asked, blocking your path.
"George, I need to leave," you said, trying to sidestep him.
“Why? What happened?” he asked, but before you could answer, he glanced over your shoulder and saw Chris. “Oh, I see.”
“Just talk to him, Y/N,” he tried to persuade you. “Whatever the outcome, it’ll make you feel better.”
“George, are you crazy? I can’t” You looked up at him, and the vulnerable look in your eyes made his heart break.
“Fine, but please don’t leave. Just take a breather for a minute. You should at least stay and enjoy the party,” he insisted. You opened your mouth to protest, but he cuts you off, “Just stay in my room for a bit. You can come back out after a while.”
You agreed, knowing he wouldn’t take no for an answer, and turned towards his room. “Good,” he said, pushing you gently by the shoulders.
Once you were in his room, you turned to look at him. “Now stay put, I’ll be right back.” You nodded, and he headed back out of the room.
You took a seat on his bed, and before you knew it, you heard the door open. Expecting to see George, you froze when you found Chris instead.
“George, what are you doing?” Chris protested as George pushed him into the room. “Stop, bro!”
You got up and shout, “George! What the hell?”
“You two talk,” George said, pointing at both of you before quickly shutting the door. You heard the lock click.
You rushed to the door, trying to turn the knob, but it wouldn’t budge. “Bastard locked us in,” you said to Chris.
“George! Let me out!” you protested, banging on the door.
“Not until you two talk to each other,” George yelled back.
You turned to find Chris looking just as surprised as you. “Well, this is awkward,” Chris said, rocking back and forth on his feet with his hands shoved into his pockets. “I might be wrong...but I think George wants us to talk.”
You sighed, leaning against the door. “Yeah, he’s a lot of things… but subtle, he is not.”
Chris chuckled. “What gave it away?”
Your suspicions were right. That motherfucker had been playing you this whole time, getting Chris to drive you home, finding ways to get the two of you to spend time alone, locking you in his room. And you’d walked right into it. Idiot.
“That slimy little shithole,” you muttered to yourself.
You laughed out loud. “So George seems to think we would make a good match.”
“What?” Chris said, looking nervous.
“Did you not realize?” You looked at Chris, and he was staring at you with an unrecognizable look on his face.
“Well…” he started sheepishly, scratching the back of his head. “I kind of knew.”
“What do you mean you knew, Chris?” you asked, confused.
“I mean, I knew George was trying to set us up, he sort of told me he would, that day that you were over at our place for movie night.” he admitted.
“I’m sorry…?” you ask him again, arms crossed.
You raised an eyebrow. “And you were okay with it? Why didn’t you say anything?”
Chris sighed. “I promise, I told him not to! And I just didn’t know how to bring it up..... But honestly, I didn’t mind. I liked spending time with you.”
You felt your heart skip a beat. “What? You liked spending time with me?”
He nodded. “Yeah. I’ve kind of liked you since the day we first met in the pub.”
“But that was months ago,” you said, incredulous. “Why didn't you say anything till now?”
He sighed, looking down for a moment before meeting your eyes. “I don’t know. All I know is that every time I look at you, it’s like the words leave my mouth. Of course, I wanted to talk to you after that night, but I didn’t know what came over me every time. You’re literally the most gorgeous woman I’d ever laid my eyes on, and each time I wanted to ask you out, I’d choke up.” “But what about that date?” you asked, trying to process everything. “If you liked me so much, then why did you go on a date?”
Chris looked a little guilty. “George told you about that?” You nodded before he continued, “You can’t blame a guy for trying to move on, especially when a girl like you couldn’t possibly like me back,” he said softly.
You shook your head. “Chris, I… I’ve liked you too. I think I’ve liked you the whole time. But I didn’t think you did, especially after how everything was after we got drunk that night.”
Chris stepped closer, hope in his eyes. “You like me too?” he asked again, making sure he wasn’t wrong about what he heard.
“Yes, Chris, I like you too,” you responded.
“So we’re both hopeless in the love department?” he asked.
“Yep, looks like it,” you said, laughing. “So hopeless that we needed Cupid Clarkey to get us to finally admit our feelings.”
You both stared at each other for a moment before bursting into laughter.
Chris stopped to look at you, stepping even closer. “God, I love your laugh,” he said softly, and you looked at him shyly.
“And you have the most amazing eyes I’ve ever seen,” you stepped closer as well and he flashes that gorgeous smile of his, the kind that gets your stomach in knots.
He said, “You know, I regret nothing from that night.”
You replied teasingly, “Really?”
He nodded, “Well, there’s only one thing I regret.”
You asked, “And what’s that?”
He said, “That I didn’t get to kiss you,” as he tucked a stray strand of your hair behind your ear, his eyes go dark and intense, piercing into your soul.
“Well, what are you waiting for?” you whispered, and with that, Chris crashed his lips onto yours.
The kiss was everything you’d dreamed of and more. His arm snaked around your waist, pulling you closer, while your arms made their way around his neck and your hand tangling into those perfect curls of his, tugging slightly, earning a groan from him.
The kiss was filled with so much emotion, both of you pouring everything into it—all the pent-up feelings from the past months. It was intense, and full of passion and tenderness, leaving you breathless. You could feel his heart pounding in sync with yours, the heat between you two electrifying. It was as if the world had melted away, and there was nothing but this moment.
Chris pulled back slightly, his forehead resting against yours. “I’ve wanted to do that for so long,” he whispered.
You smiled, feeling the warmth of his breath against your lips. “Me too.”
Before either of you could say anything else, you heard a slight thud outside the door. Chris gave you a knowing look, and you raised your voice intentionally louder. “Well, George’s bed looks nice doesn’t it? I think he just put new sheets on.”
Chris chimes up, “Maybe we should use it. We’re locked in here anyways. Might as well make the most of our time.”
Immediately, you heard George unlocking the door, bursting into the room. “Okay, get out, both of you. I don’t want you two fucking on my bed.”
You and Chris burst into laughter. Chris scooped you up playfully and ran off to his bedroom, shutting the door behind you two.
Once you were in his room, he slowly placed you on the ground, then pulled you onto his lap as he sat at the edge of the bed.
“So... I think I should ask you properly,” he said, looking up at you.
Chris leaned in, his forehead resting against yours. “Now that you know how I feel about you, what do you say we give this a shot? Will you go out with me?”
You nodded, heart pounding in your chest. “I’d like that, Chris.” and he flashed you a smile.
“We really should be thanking George,” he said.
“Yeah, normally I hate him meddling, but this time I don’t mind. But please don't tell him that, or I'll never here the end of it,” you said as you wrapped your arms around his neck.
Chris grinned. Forget about it then, I just want to kiss you again.”
You laughed, and with that, you closed the distance again, letting yourself melt into his touch. The feeling of his soft lips sent a shiver down your spine.
This moment felt perfect, like you fit together in a way that was always meant to be. His arms wrapped around you securely, pulling you closer, and you could feel the steady beat of his heart against yours. You hated to admit it, but George playing cupid had turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to you and Chris.

Bonus Fun Facts (cannon to this AU):
- George did find your drunk closeness to Chris disgusting, but he didn't really care if you snogged his friend or not. He pulled you off of Chris more out of fear of what you would do to him if he let you make any drunken mistakes while he was around. - During your conversation after movie night, George realized that Chris had a crush on you. - He and Chris disappeared off onto the balcony and he managed to get Chris to fess up that he was in fact into you. - George said he'd gladly meddle. Chris told him not to meddle. George meddled. - He knew you two hopeless idiots would not give each other a chance without a gentle push in the right direction. - George did in fact tell Chris not to go on the date, bringing up his crush on you. - Chris said that he was sure that there was no way you liked him and that you had not shown any interest in him. He did not want to make you uncomfortable by making a move on you so he decided to try and forget about his crush. - Could George just have told you that Chris liked you...yes? But did he instead choose to play cupid for his own amusement, of course he did. - Plus you hadn't explicitly told him that you liked Chris and he didn't want to dump that news on you. But then he realized that you were too thick when it came to your own feelings..so he did just dump it on you. - George realized he had to kick his matchmaking skills up to a 100 (and yes his best idea was locking you to in a room). - Of course he eavesdropped, and the next morning he did in fact not let you hear the end of it.

masterlist !
“MAKING THEIR WAY down the orange carpet now, caitlin clark and her former teammate, y/n l/n! these two have been best friends since the very beginning of their college careers, practically glued to each other’s side at all times.”
as you trail behind your girlfriend past cameras and reporters, you try to think of a more thrilling moment than this, failing miserably. with caitlin expected to be the number one pick of the draft and yourself to be the number two pick, all eyes were on you two. but with your relationship being private, you’re stuck playing the role of best friends. you stop in front of a few photographers with caitlin, posing for pictures - some solo and some together.
“y/n! caitlin! step a little closer to each other will you?” you hear one of the female photographers exclaim.
you glance at your girlfriend, silently asking her if she’s okay with the gesture. you know how big of a reputation she has, so any wrong move could send it up in flames. same goes for you, but you valued caitlin’s success more at the moment. before you can politely deny the photographer, caitlin’s large hand is placed on your waist and pulling you closer to her. you quickly place one of your hands on her upper back, the whole exchange appearing very friendly. but let’s just say you didn’t want her as a best friend, only something more.
it seems that you have pleased all the photographers from the rush of flashes, buttons clicking, and cheers, so the two of you break apart and make your way to the end of the carpet. there waited a sea of reporters and interviewers, eager to ask questions about both of your basketball careers and, no doubt, your close “friendship.”
as you walk gracefully to the first reporter, you are halted by a familiar touch on your arm. turning around, you see caitlin gazing at you carefully. she walks up to you and urges you to come closer. you’re the same height as her, but you still go insane whenever she leans down to whisper in your ear, like she is now.
“you doin’ okay, babe?”
“of course,” you reply, taking a step back to look her in the eyes, “you okay?”
nothing could’ve prepared you for what she was about to way next.
“i will be once i get this dress off of you tonight,” she smirks, a hint of desire and hunger in her voice. once again, her eyes scan your figure. talk about deja vu, right?
———
“caitlin! can you help me zip up my dress, please?” you yell to the bedroom portion of your shared hotel room. you were currently fixing yourself up to head to the draft, but having difficulty reaching the upper part of your torso to close your dress.
your dress. one that you specifically picked out because you knew caitlin would love it. it was a big day for her, for both of you, but you really wanted to make it special for her. it was a long silk maxi dress in a champagne color. there was a small cutout right below the crease of your chest, the area accentuated by a small black trim. the straps matching the trim were thin, as if they could be easily slipped down at any moment. the fit of the dress was flowy at the bottom but tight from the waist up to highlight all your best curves. your purposely chose not to wear a jacket or cardigan with plans of having caitlin’s blazer draped over your arms later that night.
“coming!” you hear back. you’re putting in your gold earrings as she makes her way into the large hotel bathroom. your gaze is focused on the mirror in front of you, not wanting to poke your ear as you insert the statement jewelry. caitlin freezes, immediately sizing you up in your full glory. she takes mental note of the dip in your back, the sculpt of your toned arms, the way your hips were practically begging for her touch. if you saw the way she was looking at you, you would’ve let her take you right there.
you straighten your posture as you feel caitlin step behind you carefully, hands resting lightly on your waist, as if she’s fighting to hold back. she delicately moves your hair to one side of your neck, placing small kisses across your shoulder and back.
“hi,” she whispers in your ear.
“hi back,” you smile.
“this all for me?”
“mhm,” your eyes flutter shut as your feel her lips ghost over a specific spot on your neck, “only you, cait.”
“you look amazing, baby,” she says, eyes darkening, “this dress, i mean it’s incredible, but it would look better on the floor, don’t you think?”
she sounds out of breath, like she’s desperate to show you what she means. you feel your entire body heat up as you keep your eyes locked on hers in the mirror. slowly, her long fingers trace down your spine to the zipper, leaving goosebumps on your skin from her cold touch. you shiver from both her icy strokes and the thought of what she would do to you later.
after placing one last kiss at the nape of your neck, she spins you around so that you’re facing her. her brown eyes hover over every aspect of your face, every detail of your appearance. she finds herself memorizing all of it since she knows she won’t be able to observe you this close until the late hours of the night, away from the burning eyes of the public.
———
you blush feverishly at the memory, already missing her touch like crazy. before you can respond, caitlin is called over to a nearby interviewer. she looks down at you one last time before leaving your side. for a second you’re left standing awkwardly until a reporter beckons you to them. you fix your hair and make your way over, preparing yourself to dodge any particularly personal questions. the reporter in question was a young lady who looked only a few years older than you. she beams a bright smile in your direction as she reaches her hand out to shake yours. you smile politely and wait for her to speak.
“we are here tonight with the incredible y/n l/n, one of the most dedicated of women’s college basketball, and soon to be women’s national basketball,” she exclaims to the camera as she moves to your side, “there’s a lot of buzz circulating your presence here, how are you feeling tonight, y/n?
“i’m feeling pretty great, thanks for asking,” you grin sincerely, “i’m super pumped to be a part of the draft and i’ve been waiting for this my whole life so i don’t think anything could top this moment.”
“amazing to hear, i’m glad you’re enjoying yourself so far. speaking of waiting your whole life to be drafted, what was the moment that made you decide you wanted to be a part of the wnba?”
“honestly, i’ve been in love with the league for as long as i can remember, so i guess since i was a little girl. i still remember the first time my dad took me to a sparks game like it was yesterday, so hopefully i can fulfill my dream of becoming one of them by the end of the night.”
“how touching! it seems like your family has been a big part of your journey, how else have they shaped your identity?”
“i mean, they’ve been my rock literally since day 1 so they’ve changed my life in more ways than i can count. off the top of my head, my dad was the one who got me interested in basketball, took me to my early morning practices and late afternoon games as i grew up. my mom, who was never a big sports fan, was always my loudest cheerleader at every single game. my older sister was my rebound when i was putting in the work in our backyard at home. even my dog, lacy, wears my jersey at home games so i’ve really felt the love and support my whole life.”
“and we all will continue to show that love and support as you grow in the wnba. have a great night, y/n, thank you for chatting with us,” the woman finishes.
you smile proudly. your fanbase has always had your back and you’re beyond grateful that they are following you to new heights. as you walk away from the interviewer and down the carpet ready for more, you are stopped by someone calling your name. spinning around, you are ushered over to where caitlin is currently getting interviewed.
“hey guys!” you cheer as you stand next to caitlin. the middle-aged man before you is practically shaking with excitement, knowing that he is actually talking to two of the biggest stars of women’s college ball.
“what an honor it is to get to talk to both of you,” he beams, “are you two aware that you are single-handedly carrying women’s sports right now?”
“hey, i mean it’s super cool to be able to inspire so many young women and help gain respect for women’s athletics so it’s all thumbs up from me,” you reply.
“i agree, there’s no better feeling than being able to change lives and leave such a significant legacy. and i think i can speak for the both of us when i say there’s really no way to top how we feel right now,” caitlin adds.
“i mean, i can think of a couple ways,” the man begins, “and it involves being the first and second picks tonight. y/n, i’ve talked about it with caitlin but i’m curious, are you ready to be selected by the sparks as the number 2 overall pick?”
“i’m flattered, thank you, but there’s really no telling what the lineup will be,” i say truthfully, “would it be an honor and dream fulfilled if i get picked by them? no doubting it. but i just don’t wanna get my hopes up, you know what i mean?”
“she’s just being polite, of course she’s gonna get picked,” caitlin grins playfully.
“yeah, y/n, give yourself more credit! you have had an amazing season this year, the sparks would suffer a huge loss if they didn’t select you.”
“thank you so much, really, it means a lot to hear that.”
———
“with the second pick in the 2024 wnba draft, the los angeles sparks select y/n l/n, university of iowa.”
as soon as those words leave the commissioner’s mouth, you can’t imagine life is real. you let out a heavy sigh, shoulders immediately relaxing as you hear your name called. this is all you’ve ever wanted. and now you have it. happy tears begin to prick your eyes as you stand up from your seat to hug your family. it’s a euphoric feeling really, and you couldn’t be more happy.
“you can see the emotion on y/n’s face as she celebrates with her family,” you hear the announcer declare, “the number 2 overall pick, who will get to return to her home city in california after a decorated career at iowa with multiple outstanding records broken.”
walking up to the podium to receive your jersey, you feel a couple tears of joy fall on your cheeks. anyone who knows you can see that you are wearing the biggest smile, the emotion behind it outshining every other.
stepping up onto the stage, you pose next to the commissioner, the both of you holding the los angeles sparks jersey with pride. thanking the kind lady, you swiftly make your way through the tables and hug your former coaching staff thanking them quickly for everything they’ve done for you.
“and if you want rebounding and rim protection, you can’t get much better than y/n l/n,” another announcer says, “she has been a trailblazer these past few seasons, completely flipping the reputation of women’s sports on its head with almost 900 total rebounds in her collegiate career, 5 blocks per game, averaged about 13 boards a game, as well.
“she is going to be great in the wnba right away. this young woman has an unbelievable skill set as well as physical attributes. 6’0, long, strong, and elite when it comes to shot blocking and rebounding. y/n l/n is the exact player that the la sparks can use.”
———
the after-party is as energetic as can be. bottles of champagne are popping, friends are screaming, music is blasting. the environment is completely unmatched as you soak in the celebration and accomplishments. the party in question is being held on the rooftop of a new york city hotel, the view outside the full-length windows breath-taking.
you are currently pushed into a circle of your fellow draftees: angel reese, cameron brink, kamilla cardoso, nika muhl, and of course, your girlfriend, caitlin clark. you somehow got roped into doing a full round of shots, a tiny glass of straight liquor sitting on the table before you. you and the girls clink your glasses together with cheers of gratification and congratulations, the entire affair filling your being with serotonin.
downing the shot with ease, you turn to caitlin as her hand finds its home at the small of your back. eye contact held, your mind drifts back to her promise from earlier that day.
“can we go outside for a bit?” you hear her mumble in your ear, “needa take a breather.”
she’s a little bit more than tipsy - her words are slurred, shortened. and she’s wearing a sloppy side smile. but you aren’t complaining. drunk caitlin was truly a sight, and more touchy than normal. you’re definitely far gone as well, possibly more than her. your body internally shakes with anticipation at the thought of what could happen as the night progresses.
as you dismiss yourselves from the group, you make your way to the exterior of the building and find yourselves overlooking the beautiful cityscape below. you can still hear and feel the bass booming from the speakers inside. the hum of the vibrations contributing to the literal and physical buzz surging through your body. the cold eastern air makes you shake. your girlfriend notices almost immediately, shrugging off her blazer to wrap around your shoulders. she kisses you on the cheek and moves closer to you.
“why didn’t you bring a jacket, y/n?” she asks.
“must’ve slipped my mind,” yeah right.
“i’m so proud of you,” caitlin says after a beat of silence, “you know that?”
“i do,” you reply, “i’m so proud of you, too. you have no idea.”
“seriously though…can you believe we did it?”
“not really. i’m still waiting for someone to pinch me and wake me up from this dream.”
“i know, right?” she says with a laugh, “did you hear they’re retiring our numbers?”
“really? both of ours?” you were only expecting caitlin’s to be retired, not your own. after the career she’s had, no one questioned it.
“yes, both of ours,” she responds in a duh tone, “you gotta give yourself more credit, i’m telling you. you could do literally anything and everything, and i need you to know that.”
her words make you emotional beyond words with tears threatening to fall for what seemed like the 50th time tonight. you decide to change the subject, afraid that if you continue the conversation you’ll start sobbing (again).
“yeah?” you smirk, mood shifting, “you talk a big game about how much you love me. how ‘bout you put your money where your mouth is and show me?”
you turn your head to face her only to see her already looking at you, eyes dark despite being illuminated by the city lights.
“don’t start something you can’t finish,” she challenges.
“i thought i could do anything?” you tease, quoting her own words.
wordlessly, she grabs your hand and pulls you back inside, only to lead you to the elevators of the hotel. there we go.
———
your hands shake with anticipation as you swipe your key card to get into your room. you’ve just barely stepped into the room before caitlin is kicking the door closed and shoving you roughly against it, her eager set of lips pressed against yours. her large hands grip your waist animalistically, slightly riding up your dress. you let out a moan at the contact you’ve been desperately pining for the entire day. the sound provokes caitlin as she bites down on your lower lip.
she breaks the kiss and takes her hands off of you to remove the jacket she gave you earlier. you can barely get a full breath in before she’s marking your neck, collarbone, and chest. you seize the opportunity to take off her silver top, only to learn that she wasn’t wearing a bra. your hands fly up to her chest, admiring her soft skin.
now it’s her turn to moan as your cold fingers brush against her nipples. pushing your hands away, she urges you away from the door and toward the bed. before pushing you on the mattress, she unzips your dress to disregard the fabric. underneath, she’s greeted with a white lacy lingerie set.
“y/n..” she breathes out, scanning your body.
the way she says your name makes time stop, and amongst the chaos from the day’s events, you are stilled. time resumes when she shoves you on the silky blanket of the king-sized bed, her lips immediately finding yours once again.
“you’re overdressed,” you mumble between kisses. she automatically backs away from you to take off her skirt, throwing it somewhere behind her.
she pulls on your bra strap, silently asking to take it off. sitting up, you reach behind your back to unclasp it while she decides to take off your underwear. she tugs you to the edge of the bed and sinks down before you, leaving a hot trail of kisses down your entire body.
“gonna make you feel so good, baby,” she mumbles against your skin, “show you how proud i am.”
she makes good on her promise, immediately getting to work on your clit. her tongue flicks against the bud, forcing a loud moan out of your mouth. the action alone was enough to make you come, but she just had to insert a finger into your soaking entrance.
you’ve seen her on the court and with a basketball, obviously, so you know how skilled she is with her hands. you let out a whimper at the thought of you being the only one to experience it on a whole new level.
“fuck, cait,” you pant, chest heaving.
as she adds another finger, she looks up at you from between your legs, and caitlin being the cocky motherfucker she is, smirks, the sight making you throw your head back in pleasure.
“that good, babe?”
“so good- shit.” one of your hands drifts up to your chest, squeezing it to add to the pleasure.
caitlin continues pumping her fingers in and out of you, curling her fingers every now and then. she places rough kisses on your inner thighs, leaving dark purple marks everywhere her lips touch. you feel your stomach tense up, signaling your climax. somehow she senses it, too.
“you gonna come, y/n? huh?” she says, “gonna come on my fingers?”
you nod, not being able to form words at the moment. she chuckles darkly at your state, both of your positions a stark contrast from a few hours prior. after a few more seconds, you feel the knot in your stomach burst as you release with a yell. this doesn’t stop caitlin, of course, her long fingers still hitting that special spot in your cunt.
as you begin to come down from your high, she removes her fingers to place them in her mouth and licks them, eyes closing in pleasure at your taste.
“did so good for me, baby,” she says as she stands back up to kiss you. she makes her way over to the head of the bed, as if she’s right to call it a night.
“what are you doing?” you ask her.
“going to sleep?”
“absolutely not,” you demand.
you push her against the pillows, relishing in the way her long brown hair is spread out as she lays with nothing but her underwear on. you straddle her defined waist and bend down to kiss her.
while she’s distracted, you sneak your hands down to remove her underwear and push your thumb against her clit. she’s surprised by the action, biting your lip and moaning into your mouth.
you sit back up and scoot backwards so that your pussy is just above hers. you both adjust your positions so that your pussies align, instantly moaning out loud at the new feeling.
“shittt,” caitlin groans.
the sighs that leave her lips are music to your ears, but the mix of curses and borderline pornographic moans she lets out is your favorite song. you can’t explain this feeling with words as you rock your hips sensually, the wetness from either of you making the process easy.
“you feel so good against me, cait,” you moan, “so fucking good, holy shit.”
“yeah? you like grinding your pussy against me?” she teases as her hands come up to grab your tits, “fuck- looking like a perfect slut riding me.”
as your clits brush against each other, you moan out simultaneously. you begin to pick up your pace, desperate for a release. your hips buck against her rapidly, chasing that high you search for whenever you’re like this with her.
“fuck, baby, just like that,” caitlin sighs, “fucking me so damn good.” her back arches and her hips buck up, equally ready to come.
soon enough the pleasure gets too intense, making you release on caitlin’s pussy and thighs, her own climax not far behind. you continue to move against her, slower, as you begin to calm down. as your breathing steadies, you climb into bed next to your girlfriend and rest your head against her chest. she places a loving kiss on your head, silently thanking you for everything. you snuggle even closer to her, inhaling her sweet scent.
“i love you so much, y/n,” she whispers into your hair.
“i love you, too, caitlin,” you say as you are slowly coaxed to sleep.
she’s thinking back to when she said that nothing would ever top being the number one draft pick, but being here, with her arms wrapped tightly around you, knocks it out of first place easily.

Pumpkin Kisses
Tumblr media
Clark Kent x Reader
Summary: Clark and you have a date at a pumpkin patch which leads to fun in the corn maze
Warnings: NSFW, 18+ Only, some fluff, unprotected sex (p in v), public sex, fingering, dirty talk, cussing, squirting
Word Count: 1.3k+
Tumblr media
Autumn is always your favorite time of year—the breeze in the air, how the leaves change colors, and, in your opinion, pumpkin patches. The enjoyment you feel searching for the biggest pumpkin to carve is unlike any other. Clark and you pulled into the pumpkin patch; your eyes sparkled at the sight of all the pumpkins, pumpkin cider, and, best of all, the corn maze they surprisingly have this year.
After you both exit the car, you immediately grab his hand and go in search of the perfect pumpkin. For the next few hours, you and Clark examine different pumpkins to find the perfect one. “How is this one?” Clark asked you, and looking at the pumpkin in full, you knew it was the one. The pumpkin was perfectly round, with no dents, and the color was bright.
You pointed towards the cornfield, and Clark turned his head. “Stud muffin, we need to go through the maze,” you said, ecstatic. Knowing how happy it would make you, he couldn’t turn the opportunity away. “I’d be delighted to go through the maze with you, sweetheart,” he said before kissing you.
Clark picked up the pumpkin, his muscles bulging underneath his shirt as he carried it to pay. After placing the pumpkin in the trunk, he held on to your hand and headed towards the corn maze. The sky was starting to change into different shades of orange and yellow.
The two of you are holding hands while laughing hysterically and walking through the maze. Realizing you and Clark are reaching a dead end, the both of you stop for a moment, still laughing as he pulls you into his arms.
Looking down at you and smiling, he kissed you softly. “Mhm, yummy.” His kisses are always so sweet; his lips are molded flawlessly with yours. “I think we’re stuck, sweetheart,” he laughed. His laugh is so infectious that it vibrates through you. “I think you may be right; I underestimated this,” you chuckled.
“We need to try and find our way out; let’s go, honey.” You started on your way, but Clark stayed in his spot, not moving an inch. You turned around to look at him. “What are you doing?” He made a motion with his hand to walk back to him. “I think this is the perfect timing.”
“Perfect timing for what?” You gave him a weird expression. “I’ve always wanted to have sex with you in a public place.” Clark winked at you with a smile. You looked around; the both of you were alone, and you didn’t hear anyone nearby. This was the first time Clark mentioned wanting to have public sex; you’ve fantasized about this too. You stood up on your tip-toes, looked at him, and said, “Let’s do it, stud muffin.”
Clark and you started to kiss, and you bit his bottom lip to tease him a little every time he tried to go back in for another one. "y/f/n, are you going to tease me right now?” He raised his eyebrow at you, and you playfully said, "Mhm, and what are you going to do about it?”
Hearing you say that in such a condescending tone was shocking. He knew you were trying to provoke him. In bed, Clark likes to be fairly rough but overall gentle with you. However, since you were acting like a brat, he would fuck you like one.
The two of you were standing in the middle of the small cornfield, and his kisses were becoming more aggressive. The thought of the two of you having sex in public with the possibility of being caught made your pussy and your panties dampen.
Clark's long fingers run over your silky skin, trailing underneath your skirt and finding their way between your smooth thighs. His fingers glide against your clit, covered by your soaked panties. His lips brush against your ear as he begins to whisper, “My sweet girl, drenched for me already, always ready for me to fuck you." This was a new side of Clark you were seeing, and you couldn’t wait to see more of it.
Clark began to rub his fingers between your folds before plunging two into you. He wasn’t going to take his time and be gentle with you, as usual. No, he wanted you to beg for him to stop; he wanted you to become so sensitive from making you come. He was going to fuck that attitude out of you.
Clark increased his speed, his digits still inside you. You could feel a new sensation in your lower stomach; that feeling was building until it popped like a bubble. "Clark, Oh my!” you screamed.
Your head was in a haze, and your eyes closed as you felt your legs shaking and starting to buckle. Clark kissed your jaw. “Look at this delicious mess you made all over me." You opened your eyes and looked down at his shirt, realizing you had squirted. Your breathing was still erratic, and in utter shock, you felt a little embarrassed, but Clark wouldn’t let that happen.
He ripped off your panties, surprising you by stuffing them in your mouth. Clark picked you up, walking over to the piles of hay that were stacked high and pushing you up against them. You undid his belt and zipper, pulling his cock out. He spitted in his hand, rubbing it around, and eased himself into your silk folds, lathering himself with your juices before plunging into you with his head thrown back with a groan. “This pussy is made for me.”
His muscles strained under his shirt as he moved deeper into you with each snap of his hips. Clark watched you take off your sweater in a hurry and then pull down your bra so he could see your tits bounce up and down. The sight of them made him more eager. You twisted one of your nipples, making you whimper in pleasure.
“Nope, you wanted to act like a brat; you’ll be treated as one.” Clark swatted your hand away and grabbed your tit, leaning forward and circling your nipple with his tongue.
The mixture between him sucking on your tits and fucking you at once was becoming too much. Your resolve was crumbling; he could see that you were about to come. So he made his movements faster, and when you finally did, he didn’t stop. He wanted you to be sensitive. "Baby, ah," you pushed on his chest, but Clark wasn’t budging.
He removed his mouth from your nipple and decided to move his hand down to your clit and rubbed viciously, your face screwed up in pleasure and pain. That same feeling from earlier returned. Clark removed his finger from your clit and brought it to your mouth.
“Open up,” he said in a low growl. You knew what to do. You sucked on his fingers with a moan that sent him into a spiral. Clark was close—too close. "Baby, I’m coming.” You felt yourself soak him with your juices.
"Shit, sweetheart, I’m going to fill you up with my cum. Want all my cum like a good girl?” He asked you with a primal look in his eyes, "Yes, baby, fill me up." With your pussy grasped around his cock, his seed poured into you. Clark eased out of you, the two of you holding onto each other and breathing in sync to calm down. He slowly puts you down, grabbing your face gently and kissing you. “Are you okay?” You loved that Clark was so attentive and caring. “Mhm, trust me, I’m perfect.”
The two of you got dressed; you saw his glasses on the ground and giggled at the fact that neither of you paid attention to them falling. You saw how dark the sky had gotten. “We should hurry and find our way out before they close and we get stuck here all night, stud muffin." The rest of the way out, Clark was pulling hay out of your hair, making the both of you giggle.
You both reached the end of the maze at the perfect time. Over the speakers, they announced the pumpkin patch was closing for the night and would reopen again tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. “This is our yearly tradition now, sweetheart.”

Train -George clarkey
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
words: 0.7k+
warnings: none.
summary: you create conversation with a cute British boy after the train your both on breaks down.
notes: hi! I’ve had some people ask for a George fic and I’m also majorly crushing on him rn so here we are🫶🏼. I’m not sure how I came up with this idea but I love it! Enjoy🤗💘
Tumblr media
I spent my day running errands and was just about to get on my train home when I spotted a good looking man who seemed to be around my age. I admired his brown hair, blue eyes and how tall he was. Since it was pretty late there weren't loads of people on the train meaning it was only me, the mystery man and a few others in the cart.
I took a seat then got my headphones out of my bag and popped them on so I could listen to some music and relax. After almost twenty minutes the train abruptly came to a stop. I furrowed my brows.
Suddenly a woman's voice was heard through the speakers as she announced that they were having some technical problems but not to panic.
After a few minutes the woman's voice could be heard again telling everyone that they were working on the problem but that it could be a while before we start moving again. I sighed deeply, removing my headphones and looking around.
My eyes locked with the mystery man I'd seen earlier. "Is this a sign that we're meant to meet?" My delusional mind thought. He stood up, walking towards me. My heart began to race.
He sat down opposite me. "Hey. I'm George." He began. I smiled lightly. "Hello George. I'm y/n." It was silent for a moment before he spoke again. "You on your way home?" He asked. I nodded. "Yeah, are you?"
The conversation continued to flow as we spoke about our lives. He explained his job to me and that's when I realised that I'd seen him on tiktok before. "Wait, were you the guy with a beep in his garage?" He chuckled. "Yeah, I was." "Ah! That's why you looked familiar. I remember being really invested in you finding it."
He cleared his throat after a little while. "So do you have a boyfriend?" I shook my head with a light sigh. "Nope. Do you have a girlfriend?" "No," Relief washed over my body. "Could I get your number then?" He asked. I smiled. "Sure. Pass me your phone." I typed in my number then gave it back to him.
He slipped it back into his pocket with a quick "thanks." Then he spoke again. "So, where do you live?" "London." I replied, getting comfy in my seat. He smiled. "Oh, same! Whereabouts are you?"
It turns out we live just five minutes from each other. My mind was racing by this point. I'd just met this cute guy, we're stuck on a train that broke down, we live super close and he's funny. I couldn't believe my luck.
After almost an hour the train began to move. A smile spread across both of our faces but secretly we were really enjoying each other's company and slightly sad that the conversation was about to end. As the train approached our stop we both stood up.
"Well, it was nice to meet you George." I said as we now stood outside of the train station. "Yeah you too. I'll call you." He replied sweetly. We shared a quick hug then went our separate ways.
Once I got home I called my friend. "You'll never believe what happened!" I exclaimed as she answered the phone. "What?" She asked inquisitively. "I met the cutest guy! The train we were both on broke down so we started talking and he asked for my number." "Oh my god! What does he look like?"
I searched "garage beep guy" into tiktok and his account immediately popped up. I clicked on the link to his instagram then told her the username. "y/n! He's adorable! Wait is he famous or something?" "He's like an influencer I think. He has a podcast, he does tiktok and youtube." I replied.
The next day I woke up to a message from an unknown number. It took my brain a second to register who it was from. The text read; "Hey, it's George from the train yesterday." "Hi :)" I replied quickly. "I was wondering if you wanted to meet up sometime for a drink?" He asked. I smiled slightly at my screen, suddenly exited and quite surprised that he'd actually texted me in the first place. "Sure, I'd love that."

Platonic Yan!Superman
Summary: An afternoon-in-the-life of Superfam's kidnapped darling CW: post-kidnap, chains. relatively tame, Clark is a good daddy. ambiguously aged reader. ft, mommy lois. WC: 624
When it comes to you, Clark's strength and self-control sit in a precarious balance.
It takes monumental discipline not to break people's ear drums from the blast-off towards home or to flatten Smallville's crops when landing too suddenly. The frenzied excitement at seeing you after a long day makes him forget his powers, but he's generally mindful.
---
Clark landed in a gust of air that rattled the house, hand on the doorknob before the windows even vibrated. It took him a second to remember to be human.
Clark inhaled deeply through his nose and went through his checklist.
Human strength?
Breathing?
Feet on the ground?
Calm and collected?
Warm air and the delicious smell of dinner greeted him like a hug. Clark took a step inside, carefully measuring the weight behind each step until he comfortably distributed his usual 235 pounds. Tension bled from his muscles when he narrowed in on your frantic heartbeat upstairs.
"Hi, baby," Lois called from the kitchen.
Clark migrated towards her voice, spotting Lois at the table with her head ducked behind her computer screen.
"Hi, you." Clark smiled.
His eyes skirted over the pot of soup simmering on the stove as he walked to the table. With feather-light fingers, he guided Lois's face up for a kiss. Comforting serenity did away with the last of his nerves, and Clark took a second to appreciate how perfect his family was.
They parted, faces lingering close.
"So..." Clark started, voice an absent hum. Your heartbeat seemed to echo through the house, but Clark knew only he could hear. "Mind if I ask how your day was, then get back to you in a few minutes for the answer?"
Lois rolled her eyes with a smile, pushing his chest away. "Go on, you awful worrier."
Shooting her a sheepish grin, Clark hurried out of the kitchen towards the stairs.
Finally. Clark worried about you at all hours of the day. Thoughts of you escaping or accidentally hurting yourself were an ever-present concern, despite his thorough precautions. Worrying wasn't all he did, though. Clark also just longed to see you.
Clark's foot landed on the squeaky step, followed by your sharp breath from down the hall.
It was no secret that you didn't want to be a part of their family, and Clark understood. He did everything to make himself as predictable and gentle as possible, hoping that one day you would be happy to hear him come home.
Clark carefully approached your door, listening to you move. Thumpthumpthump, your pulse fluttered.
Rasping a knuckle on the door, he said, "Kiddo?"
He didn't wait for an answer. Time slowed as the door slid open, revealing you in all your precious glory.
You were sitting at your desk, back straight and hands in your lap. Despite your fear, your face was as pleasant as you could make it, save for the small quivers in your tight smile.
Clark’s eyes crinkled from his smile. “Hey, kid. I missed you.”
“Hi,” you said meekly, rising to greet him.
Clark crossed the room with more speed than he intended and swept you into his arms, pulling you off your chair. The chain around your ankle rattled at the disturbance.
Your shaky arms wrapped around Clark's back, and his heart swelled with love. His sweet kid. His unending joy.
Clark kissed the crown of your head, drawing out the hug for as long as possible. He looked out your window, seeing sunny, blue skies past the iron bars that caged the glass.
Now that he thought about it, it was beautiful weather on the flight home.
Clark settled you down on your feet, arms still wrapped around your small frame. With a smile that matched the sun's light, Clark asked, "Want to sit outside and wait for Jon's school bus?"

Hate with attraction - Bellamy Blake
Tumblr media
I hated Bellamy and despised him since the beginning. He always had to counter my arguments and disagree with me on every move I made. Every step I took–he criticized. The feeling of hatred was mutual, I never failed to return the remarks he made.
Bellamy brushed past as if I weren't there, yet he still managed to whisper, “You're falling behind.”
I picked up my pace as we walked through the forest. The whole hunting group was filled with all my friends–besides Bellamy. I shoved him almost into a tree, “Catch up soldier boy.”
My best friend, Octavia turned around while walking, and Bellamy glared at me. “I get Bellamy is an ass but why can't you guys just get along?”
I could feel his stare on me, “Your brother started it on day 1 of coming back to earth. The power must’ve gone to his hollow head, can’t say more than that–” My words were cut off at the sound of arrows flying past us.
“Grounders,” Bellamy yelled.
Clarke and Monty spread out of their spot because that’s where most of the fire was, “Guys we have to split up! We all have intercoms so once it’s safe we’ll come back together.”
Octavia reached for my hand but missed me by a couple of inches, an arrow grazed my palm and cut me, “Just go,” I yelled. She ran away but was hesitant. I was about to reach for my gun before a hand stopped me–Bellamy.
“We have time to run, don’t waste your bullets.”
I crouched down with him so no one gets hurt again, “If you keep ordering me around, I’m about to waste one.”
He groaned as he grabbed me and we both made a run for it, “Keep this shit up and maybe I’ll throw you to the grounders.”
I pushed him off me as we walked into a tiny cave for cover, “I’d rather be with them than you,” I mumbled.
“What was that princess,” he asked knowing he heard every word I said. His anger was pissing me off. He ripped a part of his shirt off and began wrapping it around my cut.
“I hate when you call me that.” He only called me that because my father is Kane and he won’t let go that I’m “privileged” just like Clarke. “I didn’t make the rules on the ship, It’s not my fault that–”
He pulled hard on the tie he was making causing me to wince in pain, “Don’t finish that sentence.” Bellamy glanced up at me then annoyingly back at my cut as he wrapped it to perfection–I hated how good he was at helping when I needed it. “I know it’s not your fault but your father and every privileged person on that ship let her die for what reason? Because she had one more kid?”
“You know the rules,” I spoke lowly. It was a sensitive topic and even though I hated his guts and wouldn’t mind if he got floated, I did sympathize. I never liked what happened and the fact no one could have siblings. “The more space taken by more kids would’ve left us overpopulated Bell–” I paused when talking, his nickname Octavia slipped out so easily.
He looked up at me whilst still holding my hand even though the t-shirt bandage was as good as it was going to get. “I’m sorry she was floated, but it was the rules. And you know the Ark was already overpopulated enough. That’s why they sent us down here in the first place, the stupid 100 who had to risk their criminalistic lives for the others.” This topic always got me upset, not sad but mad. My father, Jaha, and Clarke's mom, Abby, were all willing to risk our lives as if we were all test subjects.
“We mean nothing to them, that’s why I was so hell-bent on making sure all of the 100 could survive.”
I rolled my eyes remembering this wasn’t a friend I was talking to, “No, Bellamy you wanted all of us to remove our locators so that you could make sure they didn’t come down here because your reckless ass shot Jaha. I understand it was for Octavia but don’t act as if you’re some hero.”
He pressed down on my wound before dropping his hand, “I never said I was. You always think you’re better than me.”
I went to punch Bellamy but he moved out of the way, I was always good at hand-to-hand, my father got me a trainer, one of the guards. I knew how to fight, shoot, plant, etc. I was built to survive as if he’s been planning this forever. I smiled as I ducked the attack he threw at me, “You can only stand your ground because of the training you and Lincoln did together.” I went to kick him but he caught my leg, kicks were the one thing I couldn’t get the hang of.
“Learn to be faster, princess,” he had a tiny grin on his face as he twisted my leg so I was hopping.
I’d never give him the satisfaction of beating me, I kicked my leg again and got out of his grip. I elbowed him and punched him. His lip began to bleed, he had a smile on his face as his finger touched his lip. “Better,” he whispered.
I went to hit him again but he blocked it and turned me around and kicked behind my leg causing me to fall onto one knee. He grabbed my hair, not too rough to hurt me but enough to move my head so I’d look up at him. “Train more and maybe you’ll beat me.”
Slowly I rose and hit him at his throat causing him to back up. Not hard enough to hurt him but enough so he’d fuck off. I regained enough strength to cause him to lose his balance, then I got him to hit his back onto the ground. I kept my knee on his chest as I looked down at him, “You’ll never beat me, Bellamy. And I don’t think I’m better than you–” Our breaths filled the cave, “I know I am.”
I stayed with my knee on his chest until he gave me a look that I couldn’t comprehend. His lips parted and he moved in to kiss me. I don’t know why but I didn’t back away, I took my knee off of his chest slowly. His fingers slipped into my hair and he pulled me deeper in. He kissed me roughly and I could taste the hate he held for me. Then he pushed me with a betrayal of a smile, “Never let your guard down, princess.”
I made myself look hurt, he stepped closer and I pulled him in for a kiss. He seemed hesitant but easily fell into it. I bit down on his lip causing him to wince in pain. He dragged his tongue along his bottom lip, blood was dripping more than before.
I pushed him away from me, I hated him now more than before. But God, I’d kiss him again with hate once more if given the chance. “Never let your guard down, Bell.”
Suddenly Octavia ran into the cave looking frantic, “Jesus, did the grounders attack you guys?”
Bellamy and I shared a glance, I turned back to Octavia and smiled as if I wasn’t in pain. “No, no we made it out. Well not without one price to pay,” I said as I held my hand up.
Octavia looked shocked, she now realized our words were no longer threats, they were promises. “Bellamy,” she said in confusion but also her annoyance was beginning to focus on both of us for being stupid enough to fight each other. “O,” he said while walking past her. I stopped walking so I could talk with Octavia. He turned to me and whispered, “Next time you won’t get off that easily.” I paused, next time?
