It’s miles away and no one knows that she’s Max’s daughter; the daughter of the man who taught Bart what he knew. No one called her. She doesn’t know anyone who would know to call her.

Don’t imagine her dropping to the floor and hugging a confused Dox to her chest. Don’t imagine her sobbing for her missing father and the death of the little chaos whirlwind she’d come to love.

hiiiiii everyone i'm just popping in to say that i probably won't be online much for a bit, meaning the queue will go on as always but i can't really answer asks much :( will be back on track as soon as i can!

The Nine Houses must be absolutely terrifying to fight.

And not just because their invasions start with a drop ship full of pimply 14 year olds inexplicably armed with zweihanders whose entire remit is to cause a mass casualty event for necromantic purposes...

We're mostly introduced to the schools of necromancy at the beginning of GTN, before we have broader context beyond "ooh, new magic system." But if you think about it in light of what we later learn about the Cohort:

Second House: they can literally drain your life force to power up their cavaliers. "It’s said they all die screaming"

Third House: that pile of corpses in no man's land? They're being used as a power up. Also, someone's just rearranged your face; your arse is on backwards.

Fourth House: that pile of corpses in no man's land? They're bombs now. And if you corner a Fourth House necro, they're a bomb too!

Fifth House: at best, they're the weird technicians for the Houses' horrifying blood and monolith based FTL system. At worst, it doesn't matter if you kill yourself to avoid capture or if you hold out under interrogation until you expire, they can still interrogate your ghost.

Sixth House: drop a cigarette or shed a hair on a clandestine operation? These guys now know your age, shoe size, and approximate location. They know what you had for breakfast. They know what you held in the last 12 hours.

Seventh House: that pile of corpses in no man's land? They're armed and marching on you now.

Eigth House: why is he glowing? WHY IS HE GLOWING?!

Ninth House: the guy next to you's bones just became an IED.

do you think s17 will cause a resurgence in the fandom? like inactive blogs becoming active more fanfiction just a more active fandom in general?

Yes! It always does. Beginning of the resurgence will definitely be when the first official trailer drops (with clips from each (or most) episodes) and then we’ll pick up more and more as we get closer to the premiere.. after the premiere there will for sure be an explosion in fandom posts/fics/art, etc. to build up to the finale and then we’ll continue being pretty active for a few months after, tapering off until we’re back to our hiatus-sized crowd…

It seems like we’ve picked up a ton of new fans in this hiatus (which makes sense, due to the Abbott exposure and prolonged amount of time between seasons) so I’m predicting we have an even bigger fandom for Season 17 than we did for 16! (For some reference, during 16 we were regularly breaking 1k+ notes on dozens of posts about new eps and we charted on fandometrics a few times!)

#Ik the fandom still feels relatively dead but no doubt it explodes fhe moment the trailer hits #especially with a summer premiere most other shows are off #so Sunny will become a ‘main’ fandom for a ton of people who have it on the backburner rn due to other shows airing #obviously macdennis fandom is more active than anything else #so there’s some benchmark of inflates and FvR being peak 16 activity #but I think even without knowing of some monumental ~gay moment~ upcoming #we will for sure surpass the activity we had during FvR #the hiatus posting is already more than it was leading up to 16 #genuinly my digging and posting around this time for pre airing info would get like. 15 notes #a lot of ppl just don’t care/aren’t motivated to participate until there’s actual substance #which like. fair #you gotta be a certain level of mentally ill to be as active as I am for a show that’s been off air for 2 years #anyway.. hype!#if Glenn promotes Sunny at all this week I’m sure a chunk of ppl will show up again as well lol #but it won’t be near comparable to what the official trailer does for the fandom #ask
