So I’ve been reading so many batfam x neglected reader fics and they’re all so good so i just wanted to post an idea I’ll probably do if anyone would want to read it.

So basically i wanted to do a work where instead of focusing so much on angst i wanna portray emotional and mental growth where the mc could heal and have a healthy mindset and mental health. Of course there’s still gonna be plenty of angst since this story would be about the journey of becoming a more trusting and open person and learning to get over trauma. And i might make the batfam yandere but im still debating.

So here’s the basic idea/layout. The first few chapters would probably be about the mc’s early years in the manor and detailing how each member of the batfam either neglected or hurt the mc or both and how the mc tried to constantly appease the fam. There will also be descriptions on the mc’s school life as well. Then the next chapters would be the mc meeting and learning to trust a new friend (probably a senior or another DC character). This person becomes a sort of older sibling figure to the mc. Mc then starts to care less about the batfam’s approval and focuses more on themselves and their new friends learning to make and keep healthy friendships. (There may be a few mini chapters describing how the batfam sees but disregards these changes in the mc). Im still debating but i might have the mc meet and get close to the family of their friend who they already see as a older sibling and have mc get closer to that family and try to appease them just as they used to with the batfam. The fam on the other hand already see mc as their child (they probably know of mc and batfam’s strained relationship) and help mc understand that they just need to be themselves and they’re proud of them and love them no matter what. Now at this point mc is healing and learning to be happy without the batfam and is maturing so they start to distance even more from the Batfam because honestly they dont need that negativity and finally they move out for college. (Batfam obviously doesn’t notice nor care cus this is a neglected reader fic of course they dont😔). Reader is probably gone for at least 3 months before the batfam notices and in typical yandere fashion (idk if its gonna be a yandere fic tho still debating😭) the batfam reflects on past interactions with mc and realize what mc used to do for them (the manor hasnt felt the same since they left and they now realize it was because mc is gone). I wanna do some chapters of their decent to becoming yandere or just their guilt consuming them and them trying to get mc back.

Anyways i dont want to spoil what i have planned for the ending so im going to end this explanation here. Sorry for the huge rant but its just something thats been on my mind and i might do😅😅😅. As for Elain, she was never shy towards Azriel pre ACOSF. But in ACOSF, she was shy when she gestured towards Azriel. Why is she suddenly shy towards Azriel? Because she now has feelings for Azriel as well. Az did so many sweet things for Elain and he's hot, ofc she wants him now duh.

And then the grand finale scene for elriel in ACOSF was the charged glance. THERE IS TENSION BETWEEN THEM.

As for the bonus chapter, the "It was a mistake" and "You are to stay away from her" happened. Elain misunderstanding why Az pulled away from the kiss and rhys ordering Az to stay away from Elain RAISED THE TENSION BETWEEN THEM.

Theres too much foundation for Elriel. Can you see how beautiful their relationship progressed? THE TENSION BETWEEN THEM? The author cannot make this buildup just for them to go to waste which she admits that she hates when it happens.

my dumb ass not making the connection that albedo is in fact ridicilously insecure in the sense that he NEEDS to be the smartest guy in the room he NEEDS to one up everyone and most of his motives are based on that. like the first omnitrix copy does start out as "i dont trust that the universes most powerful device should be in the hands of an unworthy human" and all that but atleast a little part of why he did that must also have stemmed from "im gonna make a copy of the omnitrix and ill be great at using it and then azmuth HAS to let me be the bearer of the omnitrix" cus azmuths like "i told you the omnitrix is beyond you" and i didnt realize until now but that actually implies albedo has talked to azmuth about this and tried to convince him to let him wear the omnitrix instead.

he then later makes a copy of the omnitrix again but he uses a real core someone else made and he upgrades it and calls it The Better More Ultimate Omnitrix™ and somehow it is both objectively better (powerful transformations, probably sold a lot of toys) and objectively worse (ultimate transformations looked Bad sometimes, made no sense genetically, and also theres the whole thing where ben had to die to release a bunch of aliens stuck inside the omnitrix becaus ethat makes sense somehow)

he also doesnt come up with the idea of fucking up ben himself he just follows vilgaxs plan idk how thats relevant but it feels relevant

then he copies ben and his heroing to get money. i will admit he didnt fuck up here he did try to fix his mistakes but like. surely he couldve tried something like. becoming an electrician. plumber. programmer. anything actually within his previous skillsets.

but yeah he then copies his old idea and calls his stabilizer an ultimatrix. follows khybers plan. and then tries to steal azmuths brain for reasons im still not sure about. like hes powerhungry for sure but my guy??

he then tries to steal azmuths brain and is really upset when he stops being smart when azmuths brain is returned then he follows evil bens idea then he tries to break into the labs and steal azmuths ideas and knowledge again, claiming azmuth is pondering the universes mysteries and secrets and hoarding them all for himself. like he clearly wants what azmuth has here.

like i definitely think fanon interpretation isnt off when we see him as having a point by not trusting the omnitrix to a child, being angry hes stuck in bens body, him being genuinely smart and genuinely good at things (like when he was pretending to be ben and rook didnt notice)

but i also think its really interesting how he craves being acknowledged and seen as superior and desires to be more powerful and stuff. like idk whats up w that but i def think the "assistant turns evil and betrays mentor and wants to be more powerful" trope works for him i just wish he had more backstory beyond that cus that shit doesnt happen out of nowhere

he clearly wants to be seen as superior and good enough that hes worth being told those secrets and in an effort to be the kind of guy azmuth would trust with that, and would trust with the omnitrix he probably feels entitled to it too somehow. probably a sense of "i did EVERYTHING you asked for and i did it perfectly why arent i good enough" but like the bottom line being hes so reliant on other people accepting and looking at him as good enough and worthy that hell do anything to prove it. hell even mutilate and deform himself if he has to and will gladly bend logic to have the people who want him and look up to him be in the right. (hugh lying to ben and co and it negatively affecting albedo. it wasnt just bens fault)

like he craves azmuth to see him as worthy and useful, and then that turns into betrayal and "im not wrong, YOURE wrong for not accepting me as i was" after hes stuck in a flesh prison he cant really escape, he then manages to both see azmuth as beneath him and above him in a contradicting irony of him being so much better and more evolved than anyone else and especially azmuth, and somehow still needing azmuths superior intellect to be better than azmuth.

idk i didnt catch it as a kid and it didnt occur to me properly until now. wild. but yeah thats part of why i think albedo is so interesting

He will drop that persona and just simply attach himself to you and the nearest piece of furniture.

He will kiss you up and want to lay in bed so he’s fully on you

Sometimes he will fall asleep on you entirely, and he will wake up in the middle of the night panicking thinking he’s hurt you with his huge body

Thats when you’ll reassure him and let him know he’s doing great, that he’s an amazing man who should not feel as if you are going to leave him. That simply won’t happen.

He also loved it when you take care of him, mostly bc he’s neglecting himself and it feels good to have someone do that for you u know?

If you give him a massage after a particular long day or tend to his wounds if he’s injured

He will just look at you with these loving glazed eyes and he will just melt under your touch

He acts tough but inside he’s like melted butter, softest guy you will ever meet.

He’s actually so emotional, he’s just good at hiding it

So if you guys argue, he’s upset and will look cranky at work

Once he gets home he sees you and your cold gaze and he will absolutely beg on his knees for your forgiveness, it makes you feel bad instantly, so you forgive him

All in all, your relationship with him is super stable and loving.

Turned 30 last November, and had started T in September, I've been wanting this for years but wasn't ready mentally, but now I want it all, the meds the top surgery, the hysterectomy eventually too... But I was super concerned about what top surgery could look like on my body ... But k have a very similar build to you and it literally brought me so much joy to see results that made me go !!!!!!!! I have a dr appointment next month and gonna ask to begin my process for top surgery thanks to you sharing your experience so big big thank you ! ( Also could you share what was your recovery wishlist stuff? I could see you received nice pillows and Im curious what you'd recommend as well ?)

and yea i can share the wishlist stuff lemme see - u dont need to get these specific exact brands of things but i'll link them anyways for the visual aid and searchability + explain each thing:

triangle wedge pillow & pregnancy pillow - sitting more upright & supported on the sides like that really helps healing. getting it early to practice sleeping upright-er really helps. my first few nights with it were really rough and i'm glad i wasn't post-op yet.

bidet - it is difficult to bend forwards or sideways at first, so one of these is rlly helpful if you don't want to ask for help wiping your ass.

bath wipes - you can't shower for the first little while and won't be able to get your chest wet for longer, so being able to spot clean helps. your armpits are going to smell weirdbad for awhile due to the proximity to healing stuff.

bromelain - the pineapple enzyme that eats u. it helps to reduce swelling and inflammation after surgery, lots of surgeons will recommend it. i definitely felt like it helped during the first couple weeks post-op 'cus i missed it for a couple days on the 2nd week it was a much angrier red in the area and i felt extra swollen and sore.

bandage tape, bandage pads, polysporin - after the first week you're gonna be changing out bandages daily on the areas your surgeon recommends (usually nipple grafts and drain holes) until they are no longer wet and oozing. if your scar decides to spit stitches anywhere it'll open up a bit until the stitch is out (and then close again!) & you'll want to cover those areas too. this will all last way longer than you expect. you'll need a lot of these.

silicone scar gel and silicone scar strips - only to be used after all the scabs are gone. they improve the appearance of the scar + the tape helps keep it from stretching out. they're more for long-term results so idk how well they worked, i basically used up one pack and then got tired of doing it. some people develop allergies to it so if they make you really red and itchy talk to your doctors!

reusable bendy straws - lifting a cup to your mouth is not a recommended motion to be doing at first. i picked these types because i hate the taste and feel of metal/silicone straws + they're a little wider and i don't like how skinnier straws make soda fizz so much from the higher pressure/narrower passage lol. that's just me being picky. i like these though and still use them often!

Hey there! Don't worry you ain't a bother, I welcome these kinds of questions.

So while we don't have a definitive concrete answer, what we can do is piece together information from the Sunken Scrolls, relationship chart and stuff from the games themselves to prove that Callie was for sure going through a rocky period mentally in Splatoon 2.

Sunken Scrolls 21 and 22 paint a pretty clear picture that Callie is not handling her newly increased level of fame from the end of Splatoon 1.

I dont need to tell you that overthinking is a clear tell that someone is not doing the best mentally. Plus the sad squid drawn by Callie as well.

Now let's quickly go over the relationship chart as it gives us another clear tell Callie ain't doing so hot.

Callie states herself that she's too busy and lonely and that she doesn't even want to spend time with Marie. Marie ponders if she's doing okay and she doesn't seem like her regular self. Which leads into well... What happens in Splatoon 2.

Now let's go over the prequel web series for Splatoon 2, Squid Sisters Stories as it shows us more insight into Callie's busy schedule and how it affected her life.

It's evident from the prequel web series that Callie's acting gig is leaving her feeling tired and lonely, hell getting a break from it surprises her which is kinda fucking crazy huh? Getting shocked that you'll finally get a break from your work? That's just... really sad.

Even after all is said and done in Splatoon 2, Callie is still suffering from her job and it still affects her.

She would rather put the shades back on, go under hypnosis and be in a daydream/flow like state than going back to her acting gig. Even though she says her reasoning is that "they look good on her." In other languages she says that she enjoys wearing them and I HIGHLY recommend you taking a look at Bomb Rush Blush (mission) page on Inkipedia to see for yourself. Callie acts possessive and needy over the shades in other languages, like it's a bad coping mechanism for her, and Marie's dialogue too in the rematches in other languages as well is very fascinating, well at least to me.

The final thing I wanna touch on is this infamous dialogue exchange in Splatoon 3 ROTM.

Shiver asks the Squid Sisters what is wrong with them and Callie responds with a flat out-

"PLENTY! :D"
