Fun Fact
BuzzFeed published a report claiming that Tumblr was utilized as a distribution channel for Russian agents to influence American voting habits during the 2016 presidential election in Feb 2018.
not rlly an ask, just me wanting to say ty for all your wh40k yandere fics/ideas. they get me through the day <3 (especially those with the raven guard trio)
aww thank you!
I mean I have to thank @moodymisty for posting the initial idea of her writing a yandere space marine that I literally could not wait to read it that I just had to write something. (Like for real the initial post about the thought of a yandere space marine/black templar on her blog is what kicked it off and without that Brother Roland wouldn't be here)
Also if it sounds like I'm deflecting praise... I kinda am... it just feels weird to be praised at times... I'm kinda like Perturabo where it's like I wanna be praised but also like I know I'm just doing what I do...
But I'm happy that my menagerie of space marines make people happy. Like I've been gushing to my husband that I'm shocked that people like them so much here... I might polish them up and post them on ao3... maybe when my tiny night lord is a little older and isn't as demanding my attention. But I digress...
I have been gushing to him about all the kind words everyone has been saying and the several people whom I've inspired... it really feels weird to be on the other side of the fence of having people love your writing and not being the person gushing to the other writer.
I also gotta thank @wolf-tail for my partial success in the 40k space for their space marine husbandry prompt that helped spiral me more... which is slowly being lewded by my anons and askers (I'm sorry)((but also not?))
I do find it funny how my D&D crossover/au Primarch thing isn't what caught on but literally me being like "Lets make these boys yandere"
YES I AM RAMBLING I JUST GOT HOME FROM WORK AND I GOT A LOT OF JUST FEEL GOOD EMOTIONS RIGHT NOW ABOUT THE COMMUNITY I FOUND MYSELF IN!!!!
Also gotta thank @bispecsual for literally tending the fungus farm and like your wonderful tags that helped kept me going in those early days with the yandere boys.
Also to all my anons (who I really hope is actually multiple people and not just like the same person even if you were I still wanna be your mutual) I really have to thank you all... and I hope someday ya'll feel comfy enough to tell me who you are and let me follow you; even if its just some side account to your main just the support ya'll give to me makes me feel warm inside.
This post is long enough right? But yeah um tl;dr... thank you
y'all are filling my heart with so much joy and euphoria seeing the reception to Dionysus so far 🥺 💖 He went through multiple stages of designing and tweaking - some even on the fly while drawing out the episode - and I was legit so worried to finally unveil him because I wanted to make sure the first wholly-'original' Lore Rekindled character (as in a character who's not based on a pre-existing LO one) was gonna be entertaining and enjoyable and most of all, do right by those of you who have wanted to see something better grow from the seeds planted in LO's first season. But it seems I can put those worries to rest.
Dionysus, to me, is the accumulation of everything I've hyped you all up for and promised - that Rekindled is a new twist on something we've wanted to see better from for so long, and will (hopefully) be worth waiting for each week <3
Not to get too sappy, but honestly, y'all make creating this project so rewarding and fun to do. Thank you all so much for reading, reblogging, commenting, filling my inbox with AMA's, and all the little things in between - I can't wait to bring you more next week :' ) <3
Guys. GUYS. Just,,, listen Go make urself breakfast. Make yourself a cup of tea or other beverage of your choice, and put on the tinkerbell soundtrack! Please just do it trust me. Allow yourself that for a couple of minutes, I swear you won’t regret it.
You know that feeling when you stumble upon something you wrote 3 months, 2 years ago, enough time for you to have forgotten about it? And you just go like wow. This slaps.
see 0 note flop posts aren't that bad when they're personal but 0 note fandom posts feel literally so bad. like if you don't wanna play toys with me anymore just say that. i'll pack up my super cool awesome things and go and i'll sit on the other side of the playground by myself and i won't even look at you. fuck
public libraries in the usa offering free digital library cards to people not in their areas (as of october 2023):
brooklyn (13-21yo us residents)
seattle (13-26yo us residents)
boston (13-26yo us residents, EDIT: just commonly banned books)
los angeles (13-18yo california residents)
san diego (12-26yo us residents, not the whole collection just commonly banned books)
these books unbanned cards (unless otherwise stated) get you access to each library's complete libby/cloud library collection, no hoopla/kanopy/physical copies included.
ebook collections are expensive to maintain (many american libraries have annual fees for non-residents because of this) but because of an uptick in book banning (particularly brutal in mississippi last summer) larger libraries have opened their doors more, which is very kind of them!
i've used my seattle card for the last several months and their libby collection has about three times the books that my local library does, which is wonderful for accessing more niche titles or skipping a waiting list. would love to hear of similar ebook initiatives internationally!
i use library extension (firefox/chrome/edge compatible) to check all my collections (+ the internet archive) at once, works for several different countries highly recommend it.
spotify seems to be offering 15hrs/month of audiobook listening to premium subscribers and while that does seem useful if you're already paying and are after a new release with a long library waitlist, libraries are better for everything else.
letting celebrities think they can and should "use their platform" to speak on all current events and political issues regardless of how educated they are on them was a grave mistake
