Tae is active on Weverse, the first day of pride month! He changes his name to Elio on Weverse. 

And explained his reasoning for the change:

Some are trying to say this is based off an unreleased Disney animation, and some are excusing this as a name picked in childhood, never mind the fact it doesn’t make sense for a Korean child to pick an Italian name in an English fairytale school (credit to Sneaky Ninja on Twitter for wording this perfectly). There’s also this to debunk that theory - 

Tae has been referencing the queer film, “Call Me By Your Name” since 2019, with the main character’s name being Elio. While I usually add a disclaimer for speculative content, I don’t feel it’s necessary this time. Tae mentioned “Elio” on the first day of Pride Month, a direct nod to a film he’s expressed affection for over the years. To me, the message is clear, regardless of how others might try to interpret it differently. It would be a disservice not to acknowledge how consistently Tae has referenced CMBYN, so here’s a recap:

The next day after reciting this impactful speech, Tae goes on Weverse and says, “I want to be happy too🥺.”

On September 4, 2023, Tae’s song “Rainy Days” is cited to follow the “tomato girl summer” trend, which was inspired by movies like “Call Me By Your Name.”

On January 29, 2024, Tae’s hairstylist, Mujin, interviewed with Harper’s Bazaar Korea. He shares that Tae’s style and the concept of the pictorial were planned in advance, with the male, coming of age, romantic drama “Call Me By Your Name” (CMBYN) being an inspiration (and also the movie “Blue Is the Warmest Color”.

On July 9, 2024, photos from Tae’s “Type 1” were revealed. One photo was the Hello Kitty plushie that he and Jk share, but he was also photographed in an Allsaints “love my way” shirt. The collection celebrates different love stories, is based on the song “love my way” by the psychedelic furs, and was used as a soundtrack in “Call Me By Your Name.”

In addition, Tae responds to two JK profile photos. The first user also has “Ku” in their name. I really like the adorable theory between the username, Jk photo, and the fact it was taken when Taekook were spending time together before Jk flew to Qatar (and also because Tae consistently sets boundaries with fans), that his response to the Weverse post is more playful and geared “for” Jk, rather than a fan. Of course, this is speculative but it was a cute thought on the timeline that I wanted to share since it made me smile. Nevertheless, the important thing to note is Tae responded to a Jk profile photo, which was a photo taken during their private time together before Jk’s big trip to Qatar. The meaning of life

Gotta write this, and thinking on a story while writing it. (Might or not extended; draft; general idea)

"Don't you ever wonder why is it we live in a place such as this?" You asked once, even if the memories were fading and all will be for the restart of a new world, it has always been like this, it seems.

"What do you mean?" Malleus wondered what had made you ask that. You simply smile, and he, for some reason, saw Lilia. Why do you look as if you've seen a lot? He doesn't like it when you do that expression.

"I had always wondered why life ever existed." You simply said. Malleus had a gut feeling that it was more than that. Although, he wasn't sure if you would even want to elaborate.

He stopped to think for a moment. Well, he hadn't thought of that. "Can you elaborate?"

"Hmm," you hummed, "I would think of life as a miracle, but it has no meaning aside from that."

Malleus tilted his head. "You can say that. But aren't humans all about finding meaning in life? An answer such as this must be easier for you than I, a fae." A cheeky smile graced his face, and you couldn't help but laugh. As if he had say the most funniest of jokes.

"Humans, sure. I am." You looked at the stars on the sky. Tonight was as beautiful as any other. It was always beautiful every time he came. You wondered if it was like that because of his presence.

"Well, realistically speaking, life's only meaning is to reproduce, it does not have any other." You said as a matter of fact. Malleus frowned.

Before he can debate, you continue speaking, "But, what does it really matter what life really is? If you can find comfort in something else aside from that, I think it's fine, too." You look at him with a smile, "After all, every living being has a set of emotions that come with life, wouldn't be normal that those emotions help you find another reason fo live?"

...well, what else could he expect of someone like you? Unique as you are, and though he could understand part of it, he said nothing. You laughed at his stunned expression.

Maybe he wasn't used to sentimental conversations. It was ok, you and him had all the time in the world.

"You are laughing at me again." He pouts, and you couldn't help but pinch his cheek, he was just so cute!

"I'm sorry." You don't know if you really mean it.

"Hmph." He tried to keep his frowned but couldn't, not when you look at him like that. He thinks it's alright as long as you stay by his side. Looking at the stars and talking about anything.

As long as both of you are here living this moment.

As long as his emotions said that this is a good motive for life.

Everything will be alright.

What is the sonnet thing from the lyrics book?

There are 154 Shakespearean sonnets (there are actually a few more dotted around, but when people talk about "the sonnets", it's this collection of 154 they mean). The first 126 are addressed to a young man known as the Fair Youth, and are generally considered to be (at least in places) obviously homoerotic.

The original edition of The Lyrics contains 154 songs.

To me, 154 is a super arbitrary number to choose, if it's not meant to be a reference to the sonnets. Add that to the fact that the book opens with this quote from Shakespeare:

To thine own self be true.

Well, I think that's a pretty big hint.

Pt 1: The Beginning.

500 years ago, three gods birthed from the overworld, 3 gods were born.

One god, born of the deepest caves was the oldest, the EarthWing, breaking through the crust of the earth.

Another god, born of the deepest cavern in the ocean, came the OceanWing, who swam to the surface and glided through the ocean at great speeds.

And born of the highest mountains, came the youngest of the gods, the SkyWing, who flew freely over the land with their lathe wings.

For a few years, the gods had no awareness if each other, until a large willow had caught fire from lightning. The fire spread quickly. The EarthWing had been the first to be aware of this event, removing trees as fast as possible. But the fire spread through tall grass and reached more forests.

The SkyWing had followed the fire to the Willow tree when the blossom trees around her beloved mountains had caught fire. Using her powerful wings, she attempted to blow out the fire, or at least redirect it. It started to work, atleast, a little bit. They were able to hold off the fire.

For weeks, the SkyWing and EarthWing kept the fire spread at bay, but the damage wasn't being fixed.

At last, bursting from a nearby winding river, came the OceanWing, using the water around to easily put out the fires.

The three Wings were quick to work with each other, and did so.

The EarthWing paved way for canals that the OceanWing could use to spray water over the fire. The SkyWing flew over the canals and sprayed the water farther. The three of them were slowly stopping the fire.

It didn't take too long to stop the fire completely now that the source had been cut off. But by the end of the forest fire, the Willow tree had been scorched.

The three gods stood at the base of the tree. It wasn't dead, but it was burned badly. After the event, they dedicated the next few years to replenishing the tree by providing water, bone meal, and tending to the tree's openings.

After it all, the three gods had quickly created a strong friendship, having the tree kept as a symbolism for their meet.

Nothing could have ever gone wrong...

Tae posts a series of IG stories, one being this stunning photo (And we now know Jungkook was with him that day, but I’ll add that as a separate post, since they were posted separately and at different times!)

In my opinion, he also gave subtle nods towards Jk in his IG stories, and Hanjin’s post of the duo with Song Kang only confirms this thought for me. Tae used Oasis’ “Let There Be Love” in his first IG story.

It could be argued the above photo is a nod towards the below photo of Jk, while others say it was a nod towards Taekook viewing the now blooming cherry blossoms in Korea during their military time off. I haven’t been active to really have an opinion so I’ll just note both theories + leave this photo of Jk.

The Batkids play a game called “Guess Who Bruce Is Disappointed In Today” and it is a bloodsport.

It started as a joke. It is no longer a joke.

Every morning, without fail, one of them walks into the kitchen and says:

“Guess who Bruce is disappointed in today?”

And they all take turns guessing based on crime alerts, nightly patrol rotations, and vibes.

It’s become a system.

It went like:

Jason: “I knocked out a senator by accident. My odds are high.”

Tim: “I drank seventeen Red Bulls and fell asleep on top of the Batcomputer.”

Damian: “I released three bats into Gotham General Hospital as enrichment. They were bored.”

Steph: “I called him ‘Brucie’ in front of a senator.”

Cass: Just raises a finger and shrugs.

Then Bruce walks in, dead silent, pours his coffee, looks at no one, and walks away.

Tim: “It’s Jason.”

Jason: “DAMN IT.

Rules:

If you guess wrong, you have to do patrol with Damian and listen to him rant about the superiority of traditional swordsmanship for two hours.

If you guess right, you get to choose the movie on family movie night.

If Bruce is disappointed in himself, everyone gets ice cream. That’s the law.

It got so serious they made a whiteboard. Labeled it: “DISAPPOINTMENT LEADERBOARD.”
