hello, my name is equinox. im a severely disabled intersex trans lesbian who deals with schizophrenia, hypermobile ehlers danlos, generative disc disease, psoriatic arthritis and other health conditions that make traditional jobs very difficult to impossible. i am currently saving up for 2 necessary bills. my primary form of income are my ebay & ko-fi shops, as well as my gofundme. it has been nearly 100 degrees fahrenheit all summer, which means i need to use my AC. i am currently stabilizing after being homeless and bouncing around from place to place. thank you for reading, sharing this, and supporting if you choose to. i really appreciate your help, it makes a huge difference.

Democratic Republic of the Congo 🇨🇩

7 million people have been displaced due to violence between armed groups and government. Millions more face disease, starvation, and continued violence.

Focus Congo - founded in 2016 by a Congolese refugee Pappy Orion who escaped the Congo during the first and second Congo Wars of the late 1990s.

Help Women in the Democratic Republic of Congo- This effort, organized and run by Women for Women International, supports Congolese women escape violence and recover through education, job training, access to doctors, and cash assistance.

Sudan 🇸🇩

Violence between opposing factions of the Sudanese security forces have resulted in over 8.5 million people being displaced and millions more struggling to access food, medicine, and safety.

CARE International Switzerland - CARE has been in Sudan before the current conflict and runs programs helping refugees.

International Rescue Committee - IRC has increased their ongoing efforts in Sudan and have launched new programs to address water and sanitation.

My friend Faten just informed me that her and her family's tent have just been flooded. This is not an single case. For the last few days we have been seeing videos of Gazan families who's shelters have been completely covered in huge ammounts of dirty water, leaving their matresses, blankets, clothes and belongings completely wet. Imagine yourself in this situation. Imagine that the only left shelter you have is being flooded by rainwater. Imagine that you are forced to wake up in the middle of the night just to get rid of the water that have entered your tent. This is what Faten's family is being forced to endure.

And their fundraiser, which goal is about $95k USD have only gathered about $1700 USD of that amount. In those critical circumstances, there really is no time to loose. Please, help Faten and her family the best you can! And be mindful about the convention rate; $5 dollars is NOK52,51kr.

I know I don’t have much reach here but I’ve recently been in contact with a family from Gaza, Amgad is a nurse and his wife is seven months pregnant.

His gofundme is organized by Maaria Faruq, and it is vetted and real! He is now just desperately asking for aid to get his wife food and vitamins and anything else they would need. She is due soon, and they are under siege. Anything as small as 5$ can help. He began this GFM when he thought he could still rebuild his home, but as of now he is just asking for money for something as small as food. Please consider donating

One argument that came up was that nothing should happen because nothing did with Bosnia. Words out of someone's mouth. 'Oh, they weren't told to stop, so why am I now.' I don't know, maybe the past was wrong and we shouldn't let a wrong outcome then mean we should ignore what's happening now.

Enforce Leahy! No funding to IDF troops who’ve committed human rights abuses!

I’ve just learned from Pro Publica that “a special State Department panel recommended months ago that Secretary of State Blinken disqualify multiple Israeli military and police units from receiving U.S. aid after reviewing allegations that they committed serious human rights abuses.” But Blinken has failed to act on the proposal. This in the face of growing international criticism of the Israeli military’s conduct in Gaza.

I’m livid about this. We cannot keep sending unconditional military aid to anyone, regardless of whom, if they are committing human rights abuses. We have Leahy laws to prevent it, and they are not being enforced here. It’s unacceptable.

The U.S. government needs to stop giving the Israeli government a blank check. Israel has a right to defend itself, of course, but the abuses described in Pro Publica’s report can’t be defined as self defense under anyone’s definition of the term. They’re abhorrent and our tax dollars mustn’t be spent on them. Thanks.
