Game Informer:

"Cover Reveal – Dragon Age: The Veilguard by Wesley LeBlanc on Jun 09, 2024 at 02:00 PM This month, Dragon Age: The Veilguard (you read that right – Dreadwolf is no more) graces the cover of Game Informer. After years developing Baldur's Gate and its sequel early in its history, BioWare struck out to create its own fantasy RPG. That series began with Dragon Age: Origins in 2009. It was followed up with Dragon Age II in 2011, and then Dragon Age: Inquisition in 2014. While the Dragon Age series' history has its ups and downs, fans have been patiently waiting for BioWare to return to the franchise, and 2024 is finally the year. We visited BioWare's Edmonton, Canada, office for an exclusive look at Dragon Age: The Veilguard, including a look at its character creator, its prologue and opening missions, and more. We also spoke to many of the game's leads about the name change, the series' shift to real-time action combat, the various companions (and the relationships you can forge with them), and The Veilguard's hub location. You can learn about the titular Veilguard, Solas' role in the game, and so much more in our 12-page cover story for Dragon Age: The Veilguard."

"But there are plenty of other excellent reads within this issue of Game Informer! Some of us flew to Los Angeles, California, to attend Summer Game Fest and the not-E3 weekend's various other events to check out new games, interview developers, and more. Our previews section is jam-packed with new details about upcoming releases we can't wait for. Brian Shea flew to Warsaw, Poland, to check out two upcoming releases – Frostpunk 2 and The Alters – and he came away excited about both. Jon Woodey went hands-on with Final Fantasy XIV's upcoming Dawntrail expansion (and spoke to director Naoki Yoshida, too), and as someone with 8,000 hours in the game, his words are the ones you'll want to read. On the freelance front, Charlie Wacholz writes about how last year's Dave The Diver is one of the best game representations of the rewards and struggles of working in the food and beverage industry, and Grant Stoner spoke with Sony and Microsoft about the development of process and history of the companies' Adaptive and Access controllers. And for a lil' terror this summer, Ashley Bardhan spoke to several horror game developers about why the alluring town known as Silent Hill is a crucial location to Konami's horror masterpiece. As always, you'll find an editor's note from editor-in-chief Matt Miller, reviews from various freelancers and staff editors, a Top 5 list (hint hint: dragons), and more. Here's a closer look at the cover:"

The world of Panem and its iconic Hunger Games returned with the release of the fifth installment in the series on March 18, 2025. Sunrise on the Reaping, a prequel to the original The Hunger Games trilogy, centers on Haymitch Abernathy, the mentor of Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. This dystopian novel delves into Haymitch’s personal journey during the Hunger Games, exploring the challenges he faced in the lead-up to the Games, his survival in the arena, his emergence as the sole victor, and the aftermath of his experiences. Though it has not even been three weeks since its release, Sunrise on the Reaping has outperformed all of the previous The Hunger Games novels – The Hunger Games (2008), Catching Fire (2009), Mockingjay (2010), and The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes (2020) – selling more than 1.5 million World English copies in the first week alone.
Culturize’s second newsletter is here, this time about Sunrise on the Reaping, the importance of books, and the necessity to be educated, no matter the cost.

web of wyrd: ios 18 is coming to us september 18
supposedly that is the release date, so i want to deep dive on the 18 (moon) energy and how the themes can influence technology. in this case phones.
illusions and uncertainty
there are likely to be features that are not immediately clear in terms of performance (the terms of agreement / acknowledgements - might be questionable and a lot of people won't know it because we tend to just click through all that). alternatively, a lot of people may feel uncertain about the changes and need time to adapt to it - people might avoid updating to ios 18 all together.
hidden features
its likely that this update has features they won't/haven't even mention in the promo. a lot of setting stuff might need your attention - so look for someone who is well informed about what should be on in settings and what should be off. don't be afraid to ask a search what some setting jargon means.
intuition
its likely an intuitive update - you might not need much time to get back to your daily functionality. it will be trial and error to discover that "oh yea that feature is there" or "oh yea that feature changed" when the update happens.
emotional impact, dreams, and subconscious
the journal app is definitely coming this update... but we might see something change with sleep tracking, mediation, etc. also in terms of emotional impact, it's likely to cause some emotional ups and downs - frustration, excitement, frustration, etc. which i have already been b!tching about with the app locking and app hiding feature - like i just know you are up to no good if your instagram is locked on your own phone...
caution
as always you should probably wait a bit before updating immediately because the glitches will be real. an update will definitely follow the initial one.
have ideas for new content? please use my “suggest a post topic” button!

Alright I'm tired of it being locked up in a notepad, here's the chronological release dates of all things Destiny that I know of. I'll add to it if someone knows more.
Dates are YYYY/MM/DD. Blue is Destiny 1, pink is Destiny 2, pretty much just prefix everything with the normal full title of either game. I'm trying to keep it easy to read. Kasukabe's artbook is on here because it has extra comics. The anthologies are non-canon but officially licensed and all by multiple artists (far too many to list) as far as I know. I am not dedicated enough to find the localization dates of everything, just know that various things have received localizations in languages other than English, sometimes several years after their initial publication.

BOKURA for PS5, PS4 delayed to summer - Gematsu

Publisher Kodansha and developer Tokoronyori have delayed the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions of two-player puzzle adventure game BOKURA from their previously planned April 18 release date to sometime this summer.
BOKURA first launched in Early Access for PC via Steam on February 14, 2023, followed by a full release across Switch, PC, iOS, and Android on August 10, 2023.
From today until April 17 at 9:59 a.m. PT / 12:59 p.m. ET, the PC version of BOKURA will be on sale for $1.79, or 70 percent off its standard $5.49 price point. All versions of the game include cross-platform support.
Here is an overview of the game, via Kodansha:
About
This is a two-player only puzzle adventure game. It is a two-player game played on two devices. Although it is a cooperative game, what you see on the screens of both players is completely different. For example, although they should be looking at the same person, to one it looks like a storybook animal character, while to the other it looks like a robot. (The difference in perception causes the objects on the field to work differently in each world.) Players share what only they can see with their partner through conversation. They continue their journey by cooperating to solve riddles and puzzles. Players can also play online while talking to each other at a distance. The basic game system is a side-scrolling puzzle adventure with a two-player cooperative element. During the course of the story, players are faced with a number of critical choices. Depending on the choices made, the story will unfold in several different ways.
Story
Two boys who ran away from home discover a “dead deer” on their journey. Seeing it, they faint and everything they see in each other’s eyes becomes different. One is the world of animals, the other is the world of machines. The boys must unravel the mystery that happened to them. Can they return to their original world?
Key Features
The main difference between this game and other games is that you need a partner to play with.
You cannot play this game alone or against the computer (CPU).
Two players are always required.
In other words, this game starts by deciding “Who will you play with?” The game starts with the decision of “who to play with.”
The total playing time is about three to four hours. During that time, the two players discuss with each other and reconcile their perceptions, solve problems, and make critical decisions

Waking The Distant Sea FAQ
1) When will the game be released?
Soon.
2) When will Waking The Distant Sea be finished?
It's really hard to say given the open-ended nature of the game. At the moment, the development team is focusing on completing the shipgirls announced for the launch, and only then can additions to the cast be considered, so please be patient with us.
3) Will there be a demo of the game?
Yes. The demo will allow you to experience the opening scene and one in-game day.
4) Which characters have a route in the game?
Olympic, Britannic, Lusitania, Mauretania, and Aquitania. Titanic also has a route in the game, but her route isn't a romantic one like the others. All characters depicted in the game are 18+.
With the nature of the game's design, we can't add any more characters until the game is fully complete.
5) How many endings are there?
Fourteen.
6) What platforms would the game be released in?
The game will be fully functional in desktops (Windows, Mac, Linux). We have plans for an Android and iOS release, but we can't guarantee full functionality. The game would release on itch.io. Steam, if all goes well.
7) Can I join the development team?
As of writing, Heartslash Art isn't looking for any new members to help on the game. However, you are free to give suggestions and ideas for the game here, as this game is still in Pre-Alpha.
8) Can I date Titanic?
I'll go and ask her. (Goes into the other room and comes back) Yeah I asked and she said 'No.'
9) Is it really just a game where I can date shipgirls?
Yes, but no. Er...you'll see, there's more to it than just that. Remember: this isn't a game about ships.
10) Any final remarks?
I've always wanted to make this game ever since I first thought of the idea of making a humanisation of the RMS Titanic, and it's been a dream that I realised that I can make into reality once I enrolled in a game design course.
It's also my love letter and confession of disdain towards everything I've come to know in the Titanic community, mostly the gijinka circle of it.
I hope you'll enjoy it.
