Barty: Also, I said fake date Potter, get your hearing checked.

James: I'm sorry, but why would we fake date?

Barty: Salazar, I don't get what Regulus sees in you, you're as dense as fucking brick.

James: What?

Barty: I guess I have to spell it out to you. I am Regulus's ex. If we pretend to date it will make him so jealous. He'll see straight through it, realise what you are doing and you'll be going out in a few weeks.

James: Wait, what's the catch?

Barty: Catch? That is litterally it?

James: That plan doesn't benefit you at all? Of course there's a catch?

Barty: Oh, but you see it very much benefits me because Evan is going to react the exact same way as Regulus, towards me.

Regulus lays his hand on top of James’ on top of his own, two sets of bones resting exhausted on the other.

"You’re warm. And fluid. And bright, but not the kind you have to look away from."

Regulus looks up into his eyes, proving a point. Then he’s just looking.

"I think at one point you’ll be the person I’ve looked at the most."

James raises his eyebrows, his mouth a slanted line in his smile before he opens it and ruins it. 

"Even more than Leo?"

Regulus huffs, stifling his laugh. He'd mentioned his crush on Leonardo Dicaprio once three years ago, and James has not let go of it since. "He doesn’t have your eyebrows."

"I could think of a few more differences."

"Yeah, you’re taller."

James smiles at the field stretching out before them, squinting into the sun. He faces it still, like he isn’t afraid of it. Like seeks like, Regulus supposes. 

They sit with the rustling grass in the wind for a few minutes. When he can’t keep his eyes open to look at James anymore, Regulus scoots slightly closer, jostling their hands, and leans his head to rest on James’ sunwarm shoulder. The faint scent of sweat swims up from the soft black T-shirt under his cheek, and Regulus wishes he could hear James’ heart beating. When James sighs through his nose Regulus’ head lifts with it. He decides that’s similar enough.

Hello, I am 24 and I enjoy writing literate or novella length replies. I try to reply at least once a day and I speak OOC or in a plotting channel a few times a day because I really enjoy the plotting process. I tend to like planning out my plots before I write and that can take a bit of time before actually starting the Roleplay. Minors do not interact. All characters and writers must be 18+

I do not write smut with my characters typically, I am fine with adult themes in my stories but I tend to prefer fading to black. I don’t have any triggers that I can think of off of the top of my head and am willing to write angst to your heart’s content.

My account recently got unshadowbanned so I’m really excited to write again and am sorry if you attempted to reach out and didn’t get a response.

*All burst out laughing. Sirius falls on top of Remus, Remus laughs and kisses him. Regulus pulls James towards him and kisses him*

james parents were actually a nice loving couple. people would used to get surprise by the amount of love james got as a kid. talking about grades, his parents wanted for him to enjoy and learn not only get good marks. they also had the money so they’d buy james and his friends a lot of things. neither effi or monty screamed at their son, they were in love and they loved james.

james wanted so bad to have his own kid to give the same love he received. but he died without getting to know his son.
