ok after listening to the english version of the death note musical....... unpopular opinion i think but i actually prefer the japanese version? dont get me wrong, with some of the songs i do think i might like the eng version more but..... idk i like the lyrics of the japanese version a lot more? and obviously i only know them via a translation but i know for a fact that the entire focus of certain songs are different between versions.

like in the english version of the game begins, L is talking about his strategy to track down kira. but in the japanese version, he's more so talking TO kira directly and saying that he's going to take him down from his "god" status to hell. or mortals and fools, which had a wholeee different vibe in the japanese version being called like a cruel dream. and uhhhh am i insane or was rem's song before she dies an entirely different song? cause in english it was like a sort of generic love song that was pretty chill considering the context, while in the japanese version it was this superrr melancholic and striking ballad she sang while floating around misa.

idk but i really do think i prefer the japanese version. but the og english version is good too!!! i really liked hurricane and the way it ends in particular

i feel like the industry plant conversation around gracie is so boring lmao. children of famous creatives have access to funds, opportunities, and connections by nature of being born into that world - yes it sucks for all the insanely talented people elsewhere in the country/world whom the system doesn’t favor and makes incredibly difficult to break through. that doesn’t mean the kids who were born with access are being “planted” and can’t also be talented. she fr just grew up a taylor & phoebe fan like so many of us and wrote music as a form of expression & escapism, she gradually built a following of people who liked the stripped down, conversational style of her songs & lyrics. no one’s pretending to like it 😭 she didn’t blow up overnight, go from nobody to top of billboard 100 with one random hit within the first year of creating - that’s what might be speculated as “planting.” it is possible for people to actually like the music of someone who had a leg up / the right cards dealt. it also shouldn’t be surprising? the girlies love the talk-singing quiet singer-songwriter personal, diaristic stories. those are all the people whose clips are adored on tiktok. idk i just hate when defending artists who also don’t deserve being called industry plants (sab, chappel), im seeing so much of the go-to “g a is right there” like ??? how ab we just let the women create & u only need to support who you want to. i love all these ladies they all make me feel understood & that’s worth something <3

Yes totally get that like I’m the same like me and my best friend will be saying downright horrendous trauma jokes to eachother that make people around us clutch their pearls but I feel like it takes a certain level of rapport to get to trauma joke level - ig not everyone is the same when it comes to that but I think that again the writers absolutely failed to give us enough bucktommy scenes that justify having this kinda line

you sighed softly as you sat in the interview chair, tapping your fingers against your leg as your hairstylist and makeup artist applied some last minute touches before the camera turned on.

your new single had been on top charts for the past couple months, your album was coming out in a few short weeks, a tour was on the agenda for later this year. everything felt like it was finally slotting into place.

your fans had shown an insane amount of support from the number of streams and pre-saves for your new music, everything career wise made you feel on top of the world.

personal life wise, not so much.

you had met tom awhile back, the two of you had instantly connected while he was filming the latest spider-man movie. you two had gone out on a couple dates, hooked up a few times, the usual.

he checked all the boxes. he was caring and sweet, he made you feel like a queen, and he made sure you knew just how special you were to him.

however, whenever he was around, you felt knots in your stomach. the nervousness would set in whenever he was near. whenever you talk, you’d feel like you were speaking nonsense. all the nervousness is what kept you from jumping into something with him, but he was adamant about waiting for you. he didn’t want anyone else but you.

he didn’t care if it made him sound desperate, didn’t care about the girls in his dms or the ones who would text him and ask if he was seeing anyone. he only wanted you.

the camera started rolling and the interviewer introduced herself, smiling to the camera before introducing you. you smiled and thanked her for having you on before she asked her first question.

“so, ‘nonsense’ has been a huge hit,” she started, “you sing some very, risqué, lyrics, while also talking about how this certain someone makes you feel. did you pull inspiration from real life to write this?”

you nodded, “yeah, i did. i mean, you know that feeling you get when you talk to your crush? the kind of feeling that makes your insides melt? that's kind of how i feel with this person, every time.”

she smiled, “do they know they make you feel that way?”

you nodded, letting out a soft chuckle, “they do, yeah.”

she continued with the next question, “so, fans have speculated that the song is about tom holland, and you guys have been spotted out and about over the past couple months. are they right?”

you shook your head, palms sweating as you thought out your answer, “they’re all so creative with their speculations, but no, it’s not. tom and i are just friends.”

she tilted her head, “really? i mean, so many people have put compilations together of the two of you together and it seems like there’s some real chemistry brewing there.”

you smiled politely, “yeah, no. he’s really sweet, but we’re just friends.”

you felt the knots in your stomach again as you talked about him. just the thought of him made your stomach erupt in butterflies, how were you supposed to be together?

the interview was over after some more questions about the album and tour. you walked back to the dressing room, grabbing your things. as you scrolled through the missed texts on your phone, only one stood out to you the most.

tom: you were great ❤️

you smiled softly, going to reply, but your thought were interrupted when your manager walked in the door.

“the cars here,” she smiled, “ready?”

you tucked your phone back into your purse, “yeah,”

you walked outside of the building, saying hi and greeting some fans who waited outside. you took pictures, signed autographs, but the only thing on your mind was that text.

you pulled your phone back out as you got into the car, the driver heading back to your apartment building.

you nodded, typing back your response before looking back at her. desperately trying to steady your heartbeat.

“yeah,” you sighed, “i mean its not like i completely lied to them. we are just friends.”

“friends who hook up and get dinner on sunset?” she asked with a raised eyebrow. you sighed as she giggled, “i mean, i know there’s something brewing, anyone with eyes does, but why wait?”

you shrugged, “he just makes me nervous, almost like he’s too good to be true.”

“for as long as i’ve known you, if anyone deserves the ‘it’s too good to be true’, it’s you.”

you nodded, a soft smile on your face as the driver pulled up in front of your apartment building. you said your goodbyes, heading into the building and making your way into the elevator. you sighed, pressing the button for your floor.

maybe she was right. she almost always was.

the next few hours felt like the longest ever as you got ready. your hair was still styled almost perfectly from before, you touched up your makeup, and slipped on one of your favorite dresses. you felt good, and you looked good.

you were in the bathroom, applying some lip gloss in the mirror when you heard the knock on the door. you ruffled your hair one last time before making your way down the stairs and to the door, the clicking of your heels echoing throughout the penthouse.

you opened the door, smiling as tom stood in a dress shirt and dress pants. his sunglasses pushed back the curls that would normally fall in front of his forehead.

he looked so damn good.

he could say the same about you, though. his eyes traveled down your body as soon as you opened the door. he smiled as he handed you the bouquet of flowers from his grasp.

you thanked him and let him inside. he closed the door behind him and followed you into the kitchen where you were adding the new bouquet to the vase on the island.

“you look gorgeous, love,” he smiled as he took your hand. you laughed as he spun you around in a small circle, pulling you into his chest.

the smell of his cologne was embedded in your brain. after many nights of rolling over and smelling it on the pillows on the other side of your bed, or on one of the blankets on the couch he claimed was his, it smelled familiar. the feeling it gave you almost felt like home.

“so do you,” you grinned, “where are you taking me tonight, holland?”

“mm,” he hummed, “i booked a reservation for that italian place you like.”

you felt your heartbeat quicken as his nose brushed up against yours, “the key to my heart.”

he laughed softly, “seems you figured out what the key to mine is.”

you sent him a questioning look, “what’s that?”

“writing a song about me,” he smiled, “or, as you say, ‘about you and me’.”

you let out a chuckle, “you listened to it?”

“of course,” he playfully rolled his eyes, “it’s an honor to have a pop hit written about me, y’know.”

you hit his arm playfully, “stop.”

“stop what?”

“being so,” you trailed off for a second, “perfect.”

“you deserve nothing less, y/n.”

you felt the heat rise to your cheeks, and if he wasn’t holding you by the waist, you probably would’ve toppled over.

“you just make me so nervous,” you breathed out, “i’ve never felt this way about anyone else before.”

he smiled, “me either,” you returned the smile, “i know i’ve said it before, but i want it all with you. all the nervous jitters, the pillow talks, the dancing in the kitchen, all of it.”

in that moment, you put your nerves aside and let yourself give in.

“i want it all with you, too,” you mumbled, leaning closer to his lips. he smiled against yours as he kissed you sweetly, the both of you pulling away and erupting into soft chuckles.

your laugh grew louder when he picked you up, ignoring your protesting as he started up the stairs to your bedroom.

“what about our dinner reservation?” you laughed, fingers hooking into the waistband of his pants.

“you asked how quickly i can take my clothes off,” he said as he laid you down on your bed, “and there’s only one way to find out, love.”

my first thoughts when seeing her were “oh, this child is getting killed and brought back to life hundreds of times on the daily, i’d like that to stop.” and then when she gets saved i no longer had any feelings towards her. (it is absolutely adorable that she calls everyone their hero names i must admit)

she’s not really a character. she’s a plot device. her quirk is a plot device and she is the vessel for that quirk. she’s there as a landing pad for hori so that he can do crazy shit like have deku lose his arms and then he can just have eri magic it away.

she’s not rly compelling. i care more about the LOV and class 1-B than i do abt eri. she’s just so boring and i don’t really care about her thoughts or feelings. bc im too busy re-watching my villain academia to soak up any and every bit of LOV content i can.

I guess my main problem with Eri is just how one dimensional and flat she is as a character. Like I find Kota way moreee interesting than Eri even though it's eri that we get more of in general.

You are right Eri is a plot device and nothing more. One thing about her is that she is an overpowered plot device that can literally fix the narrative if hori let her do so. This is one of the reasons why he made it so that she literally mutilated herself for the sake of izukus arms and there is so much wrong with that.

It's a shame because my own feeling for Eri started to slowly drift away after she got rescued. I personally think that MHA should of focused much more on her learning about normal life and slowly entering society and the difficulties she experiences. I wouldn't be surprised if she had PTSD from overhaul and what he did to her and if she did that should be explored. Does this PTSD trigger her quirk? How does it effect her and so much more.

Eri is also (like izuku) a character that shares parallels with so many other characters these being:

Nedzu

Shigaraki

Shoto todoroki

Izuku

These few similarities that she has can be developed and if these characters were to interact especially if we get Eri and nedzu I feel like it would be beneficial for both of their characters. Also developing Eri and her goal of her being a singer should of been something introduced way earlier to make her more interesting.

Eri wanting to be a singer is actually completely incredible as it separates her from her quirk completely and actually a singer or songs are an abstract way of expression which is something that Eri used to struggle with due to overhauls abuse.

At the moment 1B, lov and almost any character is much more interesting than the one dimensional version we have of Eri. Heck even Kota is more interesting and likable.

Bakugou Katsuki is a hero.

He is a Pro Hero, number 2 to be in fact (damn Deku). He has made a living fighting battles and saving lives, jumping off roofs and flying in the sky. He is a real life super hero, putting his life in danger. Every morning he wakes up has to prepare himself for the things he may see that day. The blood he might shed, and the people he may not be able to save. He has learned to be fearless, never finding himself nervous when jumping into the fight.

And yet, he’s never felt more terrified right now.

He met you three years ago, after quite literally crashing right into the very studio you record your music. He was battling a woman who had the ability to make and control giant vines, and apparently are explosive-proof. Todoroki almost hit him with a blast of his shitty ice, making him turn to his so called “partner” and cuss him out. However, that gave the villain the chance to grab him, and send him flying.

Bakugou soon found himself miles away from the fight, as he had to use his quirk in order not to fall to his death. But as many know, his quirk is sporadic.

That is how he crash landed into your studio.

It hurt like hell sure, but when he opened his eyes and saw you standing over him with nothing but concern in your eyes, he instantly forgot the many injuries he gained. You were breathtaking, and not like anyone he had ever interacted with. You immediately made the terrified people in the studio help him up and you found the nearest first aid kit and fixed him up as best as you could before an ambulance came.

He was dazed, but you were so kind and made small talk. Bakugou had always been one to hate any type of small talk, but he loved every word that left your mouth. You were newly moved to Japan, some sort of opportunity came to you that you couldn’t turn down (Bakugou was severely concussed so a lot of what you said was a blur).

Bakugou does remember Mina and Kaminari mentioning you, playing your music whenever he came to either of their houses. You had such a unique voice, a bit raspy that caught the attention of millions of people. Surprisingly, also caught the attention to Bakugou, as he would play it during the rare nights when he’d be cooking alone in his kitchen. Your story telling was incredible, your lyrics were anything but bland. Making music about the bad and good exes you’ve had, your friends and family, your past, and even wrote songs about random characters your beautiful mind came up with. You always made sure to use all sorts of instruments, and the notes that you compacted into your songs never ceased to amaze Bakugou’s standards.

Now he was here, sitting on a table asking you all sorts of questions about you. Maybe it was the concussion, or maybe it was just your personality but Bakugou began to get addicted to you, never wanting you to stop talking.

“Here.”

You turned away from him, your hand leaving his knee instantly making him already miss the warmth of you as you shuffled through your bag.

He watched you with curiosity (and took the chance to shamelessly check out your ass) before you turned around with a newfound grin on your face. You were holding a pen, and he cocked an eyebrow at you, not understanding the excitement of this pen in your perfect hand. You walked back over to him, your perfume becoming addicting to him, and you gently grabbed his hand. You were making intense eye contact with him, and Bakugou suddenly felt…nervous? You smiled at the blush that rose on the hero’s face, before you clicked the pen and began to write something on his wrist.

Bakugou watched, feeling somewhat like a child, and once you finished and allowed him to look. He was pleasantly surprised to see your number on his arm.

His head instantly shot up, almost not believing this was happening.

“If I text this and it’s a scam, I’m gonna hunt you down.”

His gruff voice didn’t match the face he was making at you, and you threw your head back and laughed.

Once you caught your breath, you smiled at him, making him blush even more (he didn’t even know that was possible!).

“As fun as that would be, I promise that is in fact my home number. I would never trick my favorite pro hero like that.”

Out of the corner of his eye he saw two paramedics walking through the door, ready to help him out of there. However, he chose to ignore them and smirk at you instead.

“Favorite eh?”

You giggled, still holding his hand.

“Don’t get too cocky mister, or else I’ll write a mean song about you.”

His grin widened, using his other hand to lead your hand to his lips. He gently kissed it, hating how chapped his lips were, but the blush that quickly appeared on your cute cheeks made it worth it.

“I’d rather the song have another meaning.”

The two of you held eye contact, and he soaked up every second of it not ever wanting to forget what color you eyes were.

You smiled at him before you turned to the paramedics that began to replace your presence. They helped him up, and walked him over to the bed that was rolled in by another paramedic. Once he was comfortable (as comfortable as someone with many broken ribs and a concussion could be) he looked back up at you. Bakugou was annoyed to see one of the paramedics talking nervously to you, asking for an autograph. However, the jealously slowly turned into admiration as he watched you beam at the man as you excitedly signed the crinkled piece of paper he had in his pocket.

“My daughter just adores your music, she started learning guitar because of you actually! It’s truly incredible watching her play, just makes me so proud of her.”

Your lip was pouted, as you stood listening to his words. You looked so genuine, so happy that he was telling you this. Bakugou could tell this means the world to you, watching you enthusiastically hugged him. The two of you quickly made your goodbyes, and you immediately turned to look his way. Bakugou would have been embarrassed that he was caught looking at you if you hadn’t beamed at him like that. You jogged over to him, making him chuckle how eager you were to be back in his presence. Bakugou instantly grabbed your empty hand again, not a single ounce of shame for how “down bad” he was acting.

“Talk to you later?”

Your voice couldn’t have been any louder than a whisper, making sure he knew these were words only for him to hear. Bakugou grinned, giving your hand a squeeze.

“Of course.”

Instead of one of your flashing smiles, your whole face softened and a small smile appeared on your face.

“In the meantime then, I’ll definitely be writing a song.”

That’s when Bakugou realized there was no coming back from you. He was officially obsessed, never wanting anything more than your hand in his.

Unfortunately for him, the two of you were rudely interrupted by the dumbass that got him here in the first place (not that Bakugou is complaining). Todoroki loudly coughed, making you jump and him scowl.

“I see you’re in good-“ his heterochromia eyes looked down at Bakugou and your interlocked hands, and then looked back up at Bakugou with a smirk.

“Good hands?”

Yeah, Bakugou definitely got teased for the rest of the day, and soon the rest of the week by all the people half-and-half told. But honestly? Bakugou couldn’t give two shits when had you texting him all day.

Besides, they were just jealous.

Kaminari and Mina especially lost their shit, begging for him to tell them all about you, even asking for your number. Obviously, Bakugou kindly told them to stop asking (he told them to fuck off and mind their fucking business) and soon enough the two of you began dating.

It was so easy being with someone like you. The two of you worked so well together, and you already understood the pressure of paparazzi constantly swarming you like hawks. Crazily enough, the reveal of you guys dating didn’t release until after your one year. Of course there were plenty of news articles and random fans on the internet who speculated it, but you interacted with enough people for your fans to also say you were dating them as well. Besides, the idea of you, an international singer/songwriter dating the number two hero in the world was not something that people could believe easily. But it was the truth, and people everywhere went crazy when you posted a picture of the two of you.

It was the picture of Bakugou picking you up by the waist in his kitchen. You were wearing his shirt and some random sweats because you had just gotten home from a concert the night before. Ochako was the one able to capture this beautiful moment of the couple. You had been teasing him for being able to cook but not bake, and he had enough of your jokes and simply picked you right off your feet. In the picture the both of you were smiling widely, especially Bakugou. When you posted the picture, fans analyzed the picture like crazy.

Bakugou knew he wasn’t the most well liked Pro-Hero, but the amount of people who tried to make a video showing the picture and claiming it was “obvious” that he was abusing you was a little annoying. You always reassured the blond when you caught him watching those videos, turning off his phone and climbing in his lap. His hands happily making his way on your waist as you ran your fingers through his hair while the other hand held his face gently. His eyes would close and you would whisper sweet nothings in his ear, praising him for anything and everything, sometimes even singing the songs you wrote for him.

Bakugou still remembers when the two of you were almost a year into the relationship (ten months and 6 days to be exact) and in the mist of him casually scrolling on TikTok a video of you performing at your concert popped up. He was certainly surprised to see videos already posted, since the concert had quite literally just ended. Obviously he watched the video, adoring how you talked to your fans.

“Now children, calm down so I can talk. I am not gonna talk over your borderline screaming, there’s no way in hell I’m gonna be able to sing after this if I talk like that.”

Bakugou snickered. He always loved when you were sassy and continued to watch.

“So whilst on tour, I’ve had a song stuck in my head,” the crowd went wild, probably thinking you were going to play one of your songs called “stuck in my head.” Your face lit up in realization, and you laughed at the mistake you made.

“Oh my poor babies, I’m so sorry but I am not playing that song.”

You gave your crowd an apologetic smile as they booed you. Bakugou’s eyebrows furrowed, upset as to why you were being booed, but continued to watch nonetheless.

“Oh my gosh get over yourself,” you rolled your eye waiting for the crowd to settle down before starting up again.

“I had like, this chorus just repeating itself over and over again. It was so annoying y’all! I felt like I was going crazy! And what made it even more annoying is that I couldn’t go to my safe place and sit down and write it cus-“

You gestured to your surroundings.

“-I’m on tour.”

The crowd went wild for longer than Bakugou liked, but you let them get it out, shaking your head like you were disappointed but the smile gave you away.

“Instead I had to settle with my oh so very empty tour bus bed, and write the song there. It was literally like, what? 3AM? And I was sitting on that bed with my guitar, notebook, and my laptop. I’m so glad I wasn’t sharing or like in a hotel because I was up until 5…”

You bent over to laugh, and the audience as well. Meanwhile, your now very grumpy boyfriend was about to close the app and text you not to do shit like that. You put on full fledge concerts for crying out loud! You should not be staying up that late just to write a goddamn song.

“And that was last night.”

The concert booed as Bakugou’s patience started to thin. What the hell were you thinking? You even texted him goodnight at like 2! Rest is very important and you need to-

“But I’m glad that I did, because I think this is my new favorite song. And I just can’t wait anymore, so is it okay if I play it for you guys?”

The crowd literally went feral. The person recording was screaming along with every goddamn person at that place. Bakugou was now fully sitting up in his bed, eager to listen to this song. He was a little hurt, he will admit. You always send him a video of the many songs that you write sporadically on this tour, and you’ve written a lot. So why didn’t you do the same thing here? What was so different about this song that he couldn’t be the first to hear it like usual?

“That sounds like a yes,” you reached for one of the many necklaces you were wearing and pulled out a very thin necklace with a familiar pendant. Bakugou immediately recognized it, as it was the one he got for you on your six month anniversary. It was one of the petals of a rose that you saved from your first date. He had it dried and put into a charm of a necklace when he noticed you getting upset that you couldn’t keep the flowers he got you. When he gave it to you, tears were falling down your face as he kissed you. That’s when he swore to himself that if he met any of your exes he wouldn’t leave without giving them a brand new scar.

You pulled it out and kissed it gently, before whispering into it.

“This is for you baby.”

Bakugou’s eyes widened, the crowd losing their minds and you started playing guitar. The two of you would make the smallest hints that you were in a relationship, but never as bold as this. Not that he was complaining.

Secretly he had been wanting to let the public know that you were dating, he wanted everyone to know you were his and he was yours. He was honestly sick of seeing people “ship” him with extras and he especially hated when the same happened to you.

Bakugou remembers that moment like it was yesterday. His face instantly blossomed a bright blush, and his lips formed a soft smile. The crowd finally settled down after the beginning and he was able to listen to the song, closing his eyes pretending like he was there in the audience. He put the phone up to his ear and laid back down, soaking up every word and every note.

That’s how he got here, standing in a special area in your sold out venue wearing your newest merch.

And Bakugou Katsuki was terrified.


This was the first time he had come to see your concert, because last time you toured it was when your relationship was a secret. Now, he sat nervously in his chair, his colleagues on either side of him. You had given all of them tickets, making sure they had the best seats in the house but also allowed them to not be disturbed by fans.

Bakugou was bouncing his leg, picking at his fingernails as he watched the crowd. It seemed that nobody knew they were there, everyone waiting in anticipation of your show. Your music was so diverse, everyone knew that it would contain all sorts of emotions and energies. You were the type of performer who liked to be as close to the audience as possible, you loved adding commentary to your songs during the pauses, making faces, and dancing around. You loved to have fun, and let loose. When you got the green light to plan the tour, you were practically bouncing off the walls of your now shared home. You spent three months planning it, which was a new record for you, before announcing. However, there was just one thing that Bakugou didn’t like about the tour.

He knew absolutely nothing about it. In fact, you made sure of it. Hiding your notebook, changing your laptop’s password, making sure your manager didn’t tell him shit about it. That’s why he was terrified. His partner, his very famous singer/songwriter of a soulmate was about to do the very first night of the tour in Japan and Bakugou didn’t know a thing.

That’s why Bakugou Katsuki was terrified.

Soon enough, the lights began to dim, and people started to stand up. A hush fell over the crowd as the venue blacked out, and the wrist bands on everyone’s wrists lit up.

“Holy shit it’s happening.” Kaminari whispered to Bakugou, grin spreading across his face.

Ochako, Kaminari, and Mina happily took the evening off to see you, while the rest of your invites weren’t able to. Kirishima made Bakugou promise at least one photo of the two of them after the show.

A soft hum came out of the speakers, and suddenly a spotlight appeared to reveal you standing at the very far back of the stage. The crowd went insane, and you walked down the stage.

When it came to your outfits, you always had to keep it comfortable. You loved to jump around dancing, sometimes fall to your knees dramatically. You especially loved to squat. Jumping around in that position and when you stood up you always made sure to flaunt the ass that you worked very hard on in the gym.

You came out strutting down the stage in very baggy and flowy black pants and a very cropped black long sleeve sweater that allowed you to show off the lace bra that went down to your belly button. But that wasn’t where it stopped, nor was it the best part of your outfit. To Bakugou’s surprise you were wearing boots with an obnoxiously thick heel, that were very obviously Dynamite themed.

Bakugou smirked at the sight, taking in the rest of the little details of your outfit. You wore a giant ring on your index finger that was also Dynamite inspired, as a fan gave it to you, and Bakugou could see his initials sewn into the bottom of your sweater.

You stopped at the end of the runway, pulling the microphone away from your face in a dramatic motion. You slowly looked around, taking in your crowd. A smile spread across your face, and when your gaze looked straight forward to look for Bakugou, he made sure to make little sparks from his hands to let you know he was right here. You pointed at him with the finger that had the Dynamite ring on it, and Bakugou honestly felt like it was just you and him in the stadium. You mouthed an ‘I love you’ at him, and Bakugou was now ignoring the new roar from the audience.

“You guys should get married already.” Mina whispered in Bakugou’s ear, and instead of blowing her face up, he just smiled, still looking in your direction.

“I plan on it.”

The first song you sang was one of your oldest ones, which also happened to be a much slower and sadder song. Instead of listening to the grim lyrics (not because they were bad, just because Bakugou hated to remember how bad some of your relationships were and didn’t want to get angry) the hero closed his eyes and listened to your voice. He wanted to take in his environment and all the notes you sang. The song started to drift off midway, which confused Bakugou. His eyes suddenly snapped open when he heard your newest song, which was much more upbeat. He watched you jump in the air and sing the song with much more passion than the original version. The crowd recovered quickly from the switch up and was singing along happily.

You sang a couple more of your newer and upbeat songs, making sure to add new notes to them and even belt a couple of notes to get the crowd excited. You were having so much fun, and Bakugou had never seen you look more alive. This is where you belonged, and he wanted to be right here every time watching.

There was a pause for you to sit down at the edge of the runway. You sat criss-cross, and much closer to the audience for Bakugou’s liking. He always got nervous when you reached out for a fan’s hand, scared that they would do something that could hurt you.

Thankfully, that hadn’t ever happened, and you sat very cutely waiting for the audience to quiet down so you could speak.

“Wow. We’re halfway through already? Well, I think we all know what that means…”

You cocked your head to the side, and a soft piano started to play a familiar rhythm.

“Ladies, gentlemen, and everything in between, get out your tissues. It is now time to remember why you are no longer dating your ex, and for you to be reminded that your trauma isn’t just a thing that makes you funny.”

The crowd screamed, but almost immediately stopped when you began to sing in a much softer and lower register than before. As depressing as these songs may be, Bakugou firmly believes that these types of songs bring out the best in your voice. It allows you to challenge your breath control, and truly sing with so much passion and emotion.

A couple of songs pass, and Bakugou finds you when the stage gets lit up again. You’re in the middle of the runway, standing with your head down waiting for the band to begin. As soon as the piano starts, the crowd screams and yells. This is one of your all-time most popular songs, it was the one that caught a lot of people’s attention and boosted your popularity. Funnily enough, you actually hated this song because you wrote it in high school, so Bakugou was surprised to see you preform it.

“Is this Sick of Losing Soulmates?” Ochako yelled, because of the screaming of your audience.

Bakugou turned to her and confirmed her suspicions, making Mina and Kaminari start screaming along with the audience (as they were doing the entire time).

Bakugou watched as you began to sing, and noticed how you really got into it. You added a lot more dramatic pauses before certain lines, and even speaking some of the lyrics, making it feel more like anger than sadness.

At one point, you laid down on your back, reaching for the sky as you sang your heart out, and Bakugou noticed you choking up a bit at certain lyrics.

The song soon ends, and your last pose has you on your knees, head looking down at the floor. The stadium goes pitch dark, including the wrist bands, before they light up again along with your stage. Bakugou sees you wipe a tear off your cheek, and you sit there once more taking in your fans that take the chance to start chanting your name. You put your lips together, closing your eyes and putting your hands on your heart. Your eyebrows are furrowed and Bakugou can tell you’re still crying. In that moment he wanted nothing more than to go to you and hold you, wiping away your tears and replacing them with tender kisses.

You open your eyes, putting the mic back to your mouth and the audience quiets down in order to let you speak.

“Oh boy, I am so overwhelmed by emotions. I mean that was the song that started it all right?”

The crowd was still practically silent, as you’ve trained them well. You get off your knees and get into a more comfortable sitting position (criss-cross of course) and continue.

“I used to absolutely loath that song, because I wrote that when I was at my lowest. I was so sick and tired of love, having to try again over and over again. Every relationship that ended seem to break a piece of me off, and I was honestly starting to give up.”

You let out a broken chuckle, putting your free hand over your eyes momentarily before starting again.

“But then I met Katsuki, in which he literally crashed into my life.”

The crowd stayed silent, but Bakugou could tell they wanted to start screaming. You were not looking at him, and to his surprise Bakugou felt a tear run down his cheek.

“Three years of paradise. I’ve always had a fear of losing you, but it especially hits when I sing songs like that.”

There was a pause, and suddenly Bakugou felt like he was back in that studio where he met you. Staring at you and falling in love all over again.

“I love you baby, forever and always.”

Bakugou smiled, and all that fear that was with him before left. You were his and he was yours, and that’s all that he needed.

“I love you too,” he whispered, and you knew.

Bakugou Katsuki was no longer terrified.

for example, one of them is constantly going on dates with older rich men which by itself is like fine whatever but she tries to act like she's this genius feminist for doing it. like no babe.... you're still conforming to gender roles by essentially selling yourself to rich men to eventually become their spoiled housewife, if anything she's putting a capitalistic spin on it. i think this is because of the saturnian urge to conform to traditions meshing with the venusian urge to date lots and surround yourself with money and beauty

the second girl is obsessed with traditional beauty standards for im assuming the same reason. she literally often says things like "i love entering a room and knowing i'm the prettiest one there" and "walking down the street watching people gawk because i'm the most beautiful one here". it's so cringe and low vibrational, not to mention misogynistic yet just like the other girl she tries to put a feminist spin on it. she has a whole twitter account dedicated to unlocking your "divine feminine", which is a real thing but she does it in such an incorrect way like telling people what plastic surgery they need to be "perfect" and of course, how to attract a rich man. it's a combo of venusian vanity and saturnian rule following (the beauty standards being the rules)

"do you think he's actually telling the truth?" one of the vampires asked.

"eh maybe i say let's wake him up" the other replied excitedly.

"are you out of your mind Mother told us not to lay a finger on him without her say so" the younger vampire added.

"oh come on she won't know" the oldest answered with a smirk. And with a simple snap of a finger Dean Winchester was awake again, this time more petrified than ever, since he realized that he was in fact not dreaming and that no one is coming to rescue him from that hell hole he's been stuck in for forty eight hours.

"so is it true? that you're not a hunter?" The question echoed in his ears as his thoughts kept spiraling around, a hunter? why do they think im a hunter? is this a dream? am i dreaming? did i die? the more he asked himself questions the more it felt like the air was being sucked out of the room, right out of his lungs, his heart beating faster with each passing minute as his hands slowly started feeling numb-

"hello?? i am talking to you??" the vampire added as she flicked his forehead.

"im im not" he muttered.

"oh really? so the name sam winchester doesn't mean a thing to you?" she knew exactly what she was doing.

"sam?" he replied confused. The name seemed familiar yet so strange it's as if something was blocking his mind from comprehending it.

"yeah big bad tall sam winchester with his puppy doe eyes and long brown hair ugh i really wish we had gotten him instead of you but oh well" the creature mumbled while twirling her hair.

This sentence really hit him like a brick.

He could sense this sam winchester clearly meant something to him or at least to those evil monsters but he couldn't put his finger on it-

and the more he thought about it the more his headache increased since the wall Castiel had built up for him was slowly crumbling each time someone mentioned the name "Sam Winchester"

"Didn't i tell you not to wake him up??" Raven shouted from the back.

"this was all her doing!!" Bethany the oldest pointed at the youngest vampire.

And without hesitation Raven pulled Bethany's heart with her bare hands.

"i never really liked her anyways" She added as she licked the blood off her fingers before tracing them all over Dean's traumatized face.

"what what do you want from me?" the winchester spoke out with tears storming down his face, whilst his chin trembled like a toddler.

"oh my poor little Dean, i want nothing from you...well except from the blood pumping through your veins of course" she exclaimed smoothly.

"please just let me go please" Dean cried out.

"shh now go to sleep and it will all be over soon" Raven whispered.

Bobby and Castiel were desperately waiting for some sort of sign, any sign that could guide them to Dean, they couldn't handle losing both of the winchesters or for Bobby's case the three of them.

"This is driving me insane" Bobby sighed as he took a shot from his beer.

"Im sure something will turn up soon" Castiel added trying to reassure the old man, knowing damn well that if he hadn't suggested to wipe Dean's memory he wouldn't have disappeared.

Few minutes of silent went by before the phone rang.

"Singer" Bobby spoke loudly.

"Hey Bobby it's me Rufus i think i just found the car of your missing buddy" the other hunter informed him.

"Are you sure it's the Impala?" Bobby asked with a glimpse of hope.

"Yeah i think so- it's abandoned and in the middle of nowhere" Rufus affirmed.

"Alright tell me the location and I'll be right there" the old man answered.

"I can get us there fast" The angel proposed.

"No I'd rather take the ca-" Before he even got the chance to finish his sentence he found himself right next to the impala.

"you annoy me you know that right?" he uttered.

"i think the car wasn't originally here" Rufus stated.

"you think?" Bobby inquired.

"yeah i think so too" Castiel agreed.

"i can't sense Dean ever being in this region yet i feel like he's close at the same time i can't quite explain it" he added confused.

"Let's get to work then" The hunters stated.

After a few more hours of interrogating locals, the three rescuers narrowed Dean's location to two different spots.

"Which one do you think it is?" Rufus asked.

"Cas what does your mojo tell you" Bobby inquired in a slightly sarcastic tone.

"i think we should check out the barn first" the angel proposed.

As the other one got closer to finally taste the delicious fresh taste of a Wincheste's blood, she got interrupted by a loud bang coming from their right and before she even got the chance to know what it was, her head flew across the room like a bowling ball.

"Get away from my son you blood sucking creature" Bobby shouted as he barged into the room.

Her loud laugh echoed through the emtpy barnhouse making everyone wince at the annoying noise "you want him?" she asked taunting "then come got what's left of him you human weakling" she finished off with a cocky smile as she wiped off the leftover blood from the corner of her mouth.

Bobby's eyes widened as he saw Dean's lifeless body being held up by the rusted metal chain's, dropping everything he ran as fast as he can towards him while cas and rufus took care of the bitch.

Bobby unchained his now only son and held him close to his body with his tired eyes welling with tears

"Dean- hey wake up wake up boy" he stuttered

"come on i know you're still here come on" he cried harder.

Few seconds of silent passed by, before Dean slightly opened his eyes... and Bobby's face lit up with a tiny smile.

"hey hey you're okay" the old man tried comforting his injured son while trying to believe it himself.

; this was one of the first songs i put on his playlist, and for good reason. this song, to me, is freelancer singing this about and to gavin. it's about connection, it's about wanting to see what the other person is like under the persona they've created. this song is what happened when freelancer began learning about gavin past the "sex daemon" persona, but its also what happened when gavin learned about freelancer and how they were more than a "jack-of-a-trades mess of a human". listen i love the two of them so much.

; a more recent addition to my playlist, this one also makes a lot of sense to me. this song is about addiction, and while gavin like, literally needs feelings of desire to live, it also can be said that he probably has had an unhealthy relationship with sex in the past. i also just really like this song. but i think gavin has healed a lot of his attitudes towards his fellow concubi, with freelancer's help and of his own personal efforts.

; i mentioned this in my face claim post, but i had andrew garfield as my guy face claim because of this song from the movie. it's just like literally guy tho. we know guy's a writer, we know how writers are. as a writer myself (not professionally), "30/90" is more than just representation of someone wanting to peak before their past "the right age"; this is about creatives wanting to make something that will last longer than their life, and that just screams guy to me. i don't think he wants to be famous, but i think he wants to have a legacy of media he creates last longer than himself.

"something to give each other" is my favorite album from 2023, and most of those songs remind me of one redacted character or another, so if there's a lot of songs in my playlists from this album, shush. anyways, this song is an obvious choice for guy since it's titled "honey", but if you listen to it, it actually is a pretty sweet (eh? eh??) song. it's about falling for someone and wanting to be with them, and since its a fandom wide hc that guy probably fell in love with honey upon first meeting them, this plays into that idea. look i just love how much of a simp guy is for honey, what can i say?

OH MY GOFD OH MYHGOD AOHYM MY GOD THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE ONES OH MY YUFOD I WOULD DIE FOR YOU

okay, the crux of this song is quite literally about a very complex, uncertain relationship and wondering if the singer and the lover will be able to work it out. because i am. FUCKING INSANE. im breaking it down verse by verse because EVERY SINGLE LYRIC is SO ACCURATE for them you don't understand straighten your tie / we're not alone / i'll tell a lie, just to bring you home / we dance together / you're not that good / i'll tell a lie, but it's understood

"ill tell a lie, just to bring you home" works SO well for curtwen. their relationship is inherently defined by secrecy and lies. they're literally two gay men who are in love in the 1950s, working for two different governments overseas, with a relationship that's clearly had enough foundation and enough work and love put into it that it affects them four years after their separation. i do really think that they tried their best to love each other as much as they could---so they'd almost certainly skirt around corners and lie to their superiors in order to try and spend as much time together possible.

and then, again "i'll tell a lie, but it's understood" is so important to me---in a1p1, we see that owen and curt know each other. they're familiar to each others mannerisms, when to push JUST enough that it doesn't bother the other, they trust each other to turn their backs on each other and work in sync the moment curt's released from captivity. and again, as two gay men in the 1950s---they've likely both been raised with the idea that vulnerability, emotion, and affection are all very feminine traits, and so definitely would have an incredibly hard time expressing them as a result. they probably could never vocally express really how much they love each other, especially around other people---but that lie, the feigned friendship, the excuses and dismissiveness---they see through it, because at some point they've learned each other so thoroughly they can see the care behind the front they put up.

also, i hc that curt can't dance as well as owen and he regularly coaches him (its mostly an excuse to hold him lmao) so double the perfectness. PLUS, they would both likely get involved in black-tie events regularly for spy reasons and i can definitely picture them getting up to some truly foul tomfoolery that would require the straightening of the tie because they're not alone.

then, for the chorus: i guess it's all about timing / i guess it's all about the things you want but never get / i guess it's all about trying / to love someone you've never met

i really want to highlight the "i guess it's all about trying" because. it IS. they're trying so hard, man---in the staircase scene, agent curt gives us two very very powerful bits of dialogue about the time they spent together, and the feelings they shared. and that kind of love isn't the love i think could be built in a short time or for a casual fling---most fans of saf walk away from watching the show under the assumption that they've been in a relationship for YEARS, and for good reason! like its basically canon at this point, at least within the fandom.

and the thing is, when you consider the factors affecting their relationship---spies from two different countries with an alliance that could easily be shattered under the right circumstances, where they could likely only meet a few times a year at most for missions, not for themselves, who are in love and GAY and work for a deeply homophobic government.............. by all means, it shouldn't have worked out for that long. it should've crumbled. but it DIDN'T. and i genuinely, truly cannot picture the reason why it did being anything other than them caring for each other---loving each other---so much that they tried the best they could.

in the second chorus, the lyric "i guess its all about trying" switches to "i guess it's all about dying," which works just as well---especially if you look at this song from owen's perspective. because spying... it was always going to kill them, one day, if they stayed. it's an inherently dangerous job. and the trauma that they endure working as spies, especially as high ranking spies who probably didn't have access to therapy or support systems due to the nature of it being so classified---i do think that it was killing them, too. and i really do believe that owen, who was so so so passionate about the destruction of secrets in his reveal monologue (and for a plethora of other reasons i could yap about in a different post)---he recognised that it wasn't good for them, near the end. that they needed to go.

but curt was very attached to the job---we see how he romanticises being a spy all throughout the show, how he obsessed over the glory of it all (literally every time he smoothed his hair back, his obsession with doing fun and thrilling things, the whole banter that he initiates with owen about the timer on the bomb.) and i don't think owen had been able to convince him to leave. so instead of going without curt---inadvertently saving himself from the fall and the dangers of their occupation---he stayed. i dont think he could leave without him. he stayed in a job that was KILLING HIM. FOR CURT. JESUS CHRIST.

OKAY ONE MORE VERSE AND I PROMISE ILL FINISH MY YAPFEST:

we eat our dinner, then we undress / and now we're equal, more or less / now i am sick, and you're probably drunk / you're saying things, and they sound like love

god, the undressing line............... it's literal in the sense that they're undressing for bed, but also a metaphor for taking off their emotional layers. showing their vulnerabilities to each other. something that's obviously hard for them as gay male spies who have been taught that vulnerability is a weakness and know not to trust easily. the line about equality...........

i think one thing that both of them were very insecure about, pre-fall, was whether or not the depth of their feelings were truly matched. to owen---curt is a thrill seeker. he dives into danger without a second thought, decides blowing up a building because anything other option is boring, treats them survival on the job as a competition, a game, a challenge to prove themselves. and i do think that there would've been that fear, for him, that owen to curt was just another one of those things---a challenge. not a lover. not someone to care for. after all, curt wouldn't leave---he loves his job so much he wouldn't do it for owen. when owen knows that this job is hurting him, but he stays---for curt. there's uncertainty there, about whether or not they've been equally vulnerable, if owen knows him as well that curt knows him. and those doubts definitely fed into owen's mindset post fall.

and the bit about drunk / love... in order to keep this from being any longer than it needs to be---most people agree that pre-fall curt had a drinking problem that was significantly worsened by owen's death, so it works really well for him. and "sounding like love" would imply it isn't love---just seems like it. and like i yapped about in the last paragraph, i do think that insecurity and anxiety they both had about their love being unmatched is referenced here again. owen is wondering if curt really loves him like owen does, or if he's just drunk and saying stupid things. he's afraid. they both are.

ashley - always gotta start with her. i have this kinda cracky headcanon that she listens to insane clown posse and its mostly a joke but Maybe she has 1 or 2 of their songs on her playlist, whos to say? usually tho, she listens to alt/indie stuff, lots of emo bands from her youth and/or stuff like florence and the machine

chris - i feel like chris mainly listens to instrumental music rather than lyrical music. lots of video game soundtracks that he can put on in the background while hes working on stuff or painting figures. but i can also see him listening to some comedy bands/singers, like weird al and tom cardy

josh - hmm.... kinda struggling with josh. i feel like he likes rock guy usually but he'll dabble in pretty much anything. i have a headcanon that he goes to thrift stores and buys unmarked tapes/disks, so i can see him doing similar with cd's he's never seen before just to see if it'll be something he likes

sam - when she says "oh i listen to anything" she means it fghjk as we know, she has a taste for classical, but i can defo see her as the kinda person who takes any song suggestion thrown at her and adds it to her liked songs playlist after 10 seconds of listening and going "sounds good!!". has a Bunch of playlists for every occasion, none of them share any of the same songs, its kinda impressive

matt - idk Why, but i feel like matt likes 80s music. again, idk why im feeling that so strongly but i am. his parents played it a lot when he was growing up cause it was the music They listened to growing up and it just never really left him

jess - pop. pop princess. the poppiest pop princess who ever popped. SPECIFICALLY 00s pop, but she'll take any decade as long as she can dance n groove to it. ALSO i have a headcanon that shes a bit of a metalhead because its funny to imagine her playlist on shuffle and it going between bubblegum pop to unintelligible screaming and guitar and she doesnt even flinch

emily - emily is also tough for me fghj my first reaction is to say pop too, but that doesn't feel right. she doesn't like anything with too fast a bpm, maybe some r&b and soul music, stuff that has slow beats and relaxes her so she can put it on while shes studying or designing and not get stressed tf out
