I hate Ma'alefa'ak in the comics and movies bc his favorite pastime is genocide and killing J'onn in the worst way possible, but ngl if my parents named me "Evil Fucked Up Freak" and my TWIN "Our Bestest Little Boy" i would definitely be evil too

My Interpretation of the Justice League Pt. 2:
Part 2: Justice League Detroit: Now that J'onn is the new leader of the team, he moves to Detroit and sets up a private detective service there (possibly with his brother ma'alefa'ak as junior detective or something). From Detroit, J'onn goes looking for new members for his team. He finds them without too much hassle, and the Justice League Detroit is born!
The Justice League Detroit consists of six members: Martian Manhunter, Commander Steel, Gypsy (whose name probably really needs some reworking), Vibe, Vixen and J'onn's brother Ma'alefa'ak. The team is quite dysfunctional at first, since most of the team's members are young and impulsive. But with Martian Manhunter's careful guidance, the team slowly begins to come into their own.
The team is sadly still dealing with reputation issues from that civil war thing, and no amount of good press seems to be able to fix the problems inherent in the team around this time. Even though they get some big name allies or members (like Hawkman or Captain Marvel/Shazam or Green Lantern John Stewart), the team can't beat their bad reputation.
And sadly, everything comes crashing down around 2-3 years into this teams history. When J'onn's brother Ma'alefa'ak feels like he's been discriminated against by the people of earth, his already unstable mind (we can cover that in a seperate note), snaps and leads him to go on a rampage all throughout the globe. In order to stop him, the Justice League Detroit has to team up with all the members of the original Justice League (except Batman) and hunt him down.
And while this brave team of around 20 manages to subdue Ma'alefa'ak and make him see reason, the team still comes out of this looking bad. Ma'alefa'ak was technically a member of the Justice League, so some people are quick to blame the league for this conflict even occuring in the first place. Besides, Ma'alefa'ak and the league caused so much property damage across the world that they're pretty much broke by the time this adventure is over.
Part 3: Justice League…Canada? Originally conceived when the Justice League Detroit gets a mission in Canada. The mission goes well, and the Justice League gets some contacts in Canada. A year or two after this, the Justice League has the whole Ma'alefa'ak incident and their public reputation sinks even lower. Knowing that the United States has turned on them, the Justice League use their connections in Canada to keep the team running. Only one requirement: the team will have some oversight by the canadian government. Nothing too severe. But there will be some oversight and guidelines.
This new team is dysfunctional but shockingly more cohesive than any team before or after. Despite it all, this Canadian team slowly begins to recover the team's reputation after years of trauma. Who knew a team with members like Red Tornado, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold and others would be the team that leads the league back to greatness? Or well, as close to greatness as you can get after 4-5 years of awful publicity.

I kind of guessed that Ma'alefa'ak was the one impersonating the Els, but Alfred being J'onn was a surprise...

J'onn: Cola is used to remove rust, imagine what it's doing to your body!
Ma'al: getting rid of all that lame rust lmao.
J'onn: that's not how it works-
Ma'al: idk bro I've been drinking cola and my body is rust free.
This is for @jesncin and their version of J'onn and his brother Ma'al. Check it the heck out, I can promise that you won't regret it.

Motivations:
J'onn J'onzz (Martian Manhunter) & Ma'alefa'ak
They are twins. Martian Mahunter can be a fun character for both lighthearted moments or for more serious moments. He's a detective. He's a fun guy. He deserves to have a family
Cassandra Cain (Batgirl) & Jason Todd (Red Hood)
their moral codes directly oppose each other and are formed by extremely traumatic situations they were put in when they were children. jason sees himself in every victim and cass sees herself in every killer and i think they should beat each other up about it. cass's refusal to let anyone kill and her insistence that everyone can change if she can convince them has been explored multiple times but I think bruce's closeness with jason would add another interesting layer to her thought process. all that being said, I don't trust dc to actually pull it off

My Interpretation of the Justice League Pt. 2
Post-Crisis: Since Barry Allen was erased from time after dying during the crisis, the original Justice League never had the flash as a team member. No, instead Hawkman takes his place as a founder of the Justice League. So the founders post crisis are Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Hawkman, Martian Manhunter and Aquaman. Besides this change though, everything stays very much the same.
Well, besides the Martian Manhunter's backstory. New Mars does exist, but Ma'alefa'ak destroys it. He remembers the crisis (one of the rare few with a willpower strong enough to remember the world pre-crisis) and it drove him insane. He's now convinced he must kill his fellow martians to save them from the return of the anti-monitor, and so he sets fire to the whole colony of New Mars. Martian Manhunter returns just in time to see his family and community be taken from him once again. New Mars is gone, his wife and kids are all dead, and his brother has gone insane. He's lost everything.
But besides the Martian Manhunter's backstory, everything else remains the same. The Martian Manhunter leaves the team in 1971. He stays in space until 1983 (except this time, he stayed in space solely to guard his brother), until the other justice league members summon him to save them.
Then the Justice League disbands just like they did pre-crisis, and Martian Manhunter founds the Justice League Detroit. The only difference here is that the Martian Manhunter brings Ma'alefa'ak with him when he comes to earth, and makes him join the Justice League Detroit too. So the Justice League Detroit has six members this time.
Post-Crisis II: Justice League… Ottawa? and the birth of the Justice League International: Around 1988 or 1989, The Justice League Detroit gets a mission in Canada.
The New Justice League Canada has seven founding members, too: Martian Manhunter and seven other members I can't think of right now. But I want whoever's added to be Canadian. Whether they be original characters or old characters retconned to be Canadian, I don't really care.
Anyways, the Justice League moves up to Canada. They still serve America too, but their headquarters are in Ottawa now. This also makes Martian Manhunter realize that each continent probably needs it's own justice league, since there's so many countries and peoples that need helping all over. Thus is born the Justice League Europe, as well as the Justice League Asia, Justice League Africa, Justice League Oceania and Justice League South America. The Canadian team works for all of North America.

In Ma’alefa’ak’s next design, the loose chains should be upgraded into full-on straitjacket.
Pros include A) Extra creepiness for the telepath equivalent of a serial rapist, B) Make it drape like a coat and it contrasts J’onzz’s cape, C) Incarceration is part of his backstory because he’s committed every crime, and D) If the jacket remains fastened, Ma’al is telekinetic. Does he really need full use of his hands?
