when will people learn that live-action remakes will never be good as their original animated counterparts because the glory of animation is the colour, movement, and fantasy that's just untranslateable to live-action

Watching Civil War again: I CANNOT HANDLE how Steve and Bucky fall into their pattern again so quickly. Literally they've just been making eye contact for 2 minutes, spoken maybe 20 words in total, and then special forces drops in and BOOM. IT'S LIKE NEITHER OF THEM EVER LEFT. IMMEDIATELY. it's so sudden and as a viewer you're like "oh noo Bucky doesn't recognize him" but Steve knows he does. And Bucky can't handle that he knows so much about this guy he seemingly just met. And then he probably is freaked tf out by the fact when they're attacked, he knows exactly what Steve will do and exactly how to work with him. LIKE SUBCONSCIOUS MEMORY IS SO POWERFUL AND THEY'RE SO SOULMATES THAT THEY JUST FALL BACK IN IMMEDIATELY. LIKE WHAT.

I still can't believe it's been 3 years since I discovered this fanfic. I'm not much of a fanfic person but I do love reading so when destiny led me to this beautiful story made by @ghostinthebau , I knew that I had to draw that last emotional scene between Tony and Peter as their bond became that of a father and son. And now, 3 years later, here we are in the future, and I while going through some sketches to digitalize and post I found this quick sketch and I knew it was time for a remake.

So here it is, from “For Want of a Dad (in need of a son)” by @ghostinthebau , official remake of one of its most emotional moments. Give it a read, you won't regret it. 🥰

Just had a thought but... If Tony survived... Would Steve not have stayed in the past at all?

Because I finally watched Endgame (after years of avoiding watching it because I knew the ending and through the internet, made me aware of the movie without having to watch it, but finally, recently I caved and watched it). I had a conversation with my cousin about it.

And he was just as baffled by Steve's choice, when he watched it all those years ago, he told me. And I said, "yeah, because it was so out of nowhere" and he agrees with "Exactly". And now.

Now, I can't help but think... Was the trigger Tony? Steve said that he planned to come back--or at least it was said in between the lines (I'm still too hurt by the ending to re-watch it again so soon) and at the last moment, thought to himself, "why go back?" Because if Bucky being in there didn't make him return, then would Tony still being there, would've?

my friend innocently mentioned to me that they’d never seen the captain america trilogy, so naturally as someone who used to be a devoted stucky shipper i kidnapped brought them over to my house and forced showed them all three movies. and holy shit y’all…

i literally forgot that half of these lines are actual lines canonically said in the mcu. like, they don’t come from an ao3 fic. they’re not something that i just imagined happening. they happened. “even when i had nothing, i had bucky” are you serious??? “rumlow said bucky and suddenly i was a 16-year old kid again in brooklyn” wow ok catch me crying. “i’m with you til the end of the line” WHY WOULD THEY DO THIS TO ME. in retrospect it will forever be a good thing that marvel was too cowardly to make them canonically in love because i literally do not think i would’ve been able to handle it. i would’ve died and imploded on the spot. the mcu now wants us to forget how much they meant to each other BUT I NEVER WILL. as steve rogers once said SOME PEOPLE MOVE ON BUT NOT US!!!
