LISTEN OKAY IN RELATION TO MY LAST REBLOG!!

I love LOTR parallels, but god!! No one is talking about the possible CQL/The Untamed parallels!! Specifically this scene from Episode 33.

MAJOR CQL SPOILERS BELOW!!

Wei Wuxian throws himself off a cliff because he just wants everything to stop. He blames himself for the deaths of several family members and just the general suffering of everyone he loves. He figures the only way to stop everything is for him to die.

His soulmate (And later husband!! Don’t let this scene fool you!!), Lan Wangji, barely catches him. He’s injured, there’s a battle raging in the background…Wei Wuxian rips his arm away and falls to his death, leaving Lan Wangji standing alone, devastated, on the cliff.

So. How do I relate this to st5?

It’s a common belief that Will thinks, or might come to believe, that he started all the Upside Down fuckery. That he’s the final connection to the Upside Down. That he is the last obstacle between The Party and making all the pain and destruction stop. Sound familiar?

Byler has been together for a few episodes, and it’s was very emotional, it’s been very cute, but now it’s time for the final battle. Midway through, Will has the realization that in order for all of this to end, he (as the final connection) must die. He and Mike are injured and separated from The Party. El is trying (and failing) to close the Rifts.

Will pauses by the edge of a Rift, staring into the abyss that is the Upside Down. Mike notices that Will has stopped.

“Will, c’mon, catch up.” he says, voice gentle.

When he doesn’t respond, Mike makes his way back to Will’s side.

“Will? What’s wrong?”

Will looks up at Mike with this devastating expression. Silent tears drip down his face. His eyes are apologetic, filled resignation, determination, and a little bit of fear. He’s decided.

“I’m the connection, Mike.”

Mike realizes what he means, what’s about to happen, just a second too late. Will closes his eyes and steps off the cliff.

Everything feels like molasses. Time and space are stretching as Mike launches himself in an attempt to catch Will as he plummets. Mike’s arm is broken, and it hurts like hell when he grabs Wills wrist, when Will’s body weight yanks against his shoulder. He doesn’t care, it doesn’t matter. In that moment, all that matters to Mike is that Will isn’t dead, that there’s still a chance to save him.

Will stares up at Mike in pure shock, framed by the same darkness that stole him back in 1983. The same darkness that Mike vowed he wouldn’t let Will succumb to again. Mike struggles to pull Will up, but he’s too weak. Blood runs down his arm, droplets landing on Will’s face, mixing with his tears.

“Will,” he pleads, “come back.”

The earth rumbles with an earthquake, jolting them both. Mike is dragged forward, stubbornly refusing to let go even as the ground pulls him towards certain death.

Then his grip on Will’s arm slips, only for a second. Will is shaken from his shock and realizes that if Mike doesn’t let go, they’ll both die. He can’t let that happen.

“Mike,” he whispers, “let me go.”

A heartbeat passes, Mike staring at him in denial and disbelief. Then, with all the strength he can muster, Will rips his arm free. As he falls into the Upside Down, the Rift closing rapidly above him, he watches Mike’s face go from shock to anguish. Mike’s arm is still outstretched, as if he’s still desperately clinging to Will. He hears Mike scream his name as the ground knits itself back together.

I’m sorry, Mike…and thank you for loving me, Will thinks as he falls into the abyss of the Rift.

💖 what is your primary writing goal for this year?

Its my series for Steve Harrington and his parents building a relationship and also my multi-chapter fic of Steve's family believing him dead and finding out he isn't. They are fully plotted out I just have to write it out and so far it has been going well!

🦖 are there any fandoms you wrote for in the past that you'd like to return to?

Yessss god I have so many, but these are the ones I want to finish firstly; I have a long fic for Haikyu that I started and haven't been able to complete, which I'd really like to finish. I have 2 fics for bleach that I want to complete as well but I have lost motivation and have some writers block for them. But I’d love to complete them because they are plotted out.  

🍄 are there any fandoms you've never written for but want to try?

Yes specifically Vampire Knight (yes I know but still) I used to write short ideas out for this fandom because I hated that most of the fics for the ship I like (Zero/Kaname) were incredibly abusive and violent. Don't get me wrong I don't mind a bit of violence in my fics but in every single fic Kaname was abusing Zero in some way and it was just awful. Zero was always this ditzy-airhead guy who just seemed so weak and helpless, I don't know if that makes sense. But I have a few fics I want to write for VK and hopefully I'll be able to finish them and post them. 

Teen Wolf as well. There are so many stunning fics and I had a few ideas for it and never did write them, and I'd really like to. 

There is also The Untamed/MDZS I have a long fic planned but never started it,  just somewhat plotted it out.

Why do I personally enjoy gay romances to het ones? Preference and taste probably. I also tend to enjoy the angst, longing, tropes, passion, etc in the way its written more than I do in the ways those things are written between a straight couple. And that's not to say I don't enjoy straight romances either! I have plently of het ships I love too, and a few good romances that aren't gay 😂 I just have a preference, and that's okay! As for recommendations!! I have a LOTS! If you want to tell me about what YOU like to read, I can give even better recs. But for in general, some of my favorites...

2. What's your total AO3 word count? 1,614,083 yoooo

3. What fandoms do you write for? I write for a lot of different fandom because I like to write one or two pieces for every show/movie/manga/anime I enjoy. These days it's mainly BLs and Naruto.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Flip the Coin, Naruto. 37 chapters - 329,138 words - 9,296 kudos

We'll Make a Home out of it (Brother to You Part 1), Naruto. 5 chapters - 20,825 words - 5,808 kudos

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? I do respond to every comments or close to it, usually with a few days/weeks delay. I like to get replies to comments, so I give them out too. Usually the reply matches the length of the comment. I like this link with the readers and I want them to know I'm out there haha.

6. What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Probably These Violent Delights Have Violent Ends since it's a Malec Romeo & Juliet AU... Slightly different ending but still terrible.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Most of my fics have happy endings since they're just one shot of people being happy after all the angst. But I guess it would be Ending, Beginning since the whole point is to write my ideal happy Naruto epilogue.

8. Do you get hate on fics? Not consistently. I've had a few repeated offenders on Naruto fics and the occasional not very polite comment, but nothing major.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Not at all, I never have. It usually fades to black, or it's very tame. Like sex does happen in some of my fics but it's never explicit.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? The only proper crossover I did was Stranger Things x X-Men with Eleven attending the Institute.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I have, someone started to post Flip the Coin on ff.net at some point without mentioning me anywhere. Was warned by a reader. There is also an audio version of it in spanish on youtube for some reason, I never went to the bottom of that...

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, a few! Mostly some Malec stuff in Russian, and some Spanish too. And I translated some of my own fics myself between French and English.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? No, never. Did some RP though does it count.

14. What's your all-time favorite ship? The ship of my heart is Naruto n Sasuke 4ever, otherwise my faves vary.

15. What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will? The one I'm most torn over is Start Digging because I was really into it and had quite a bunch planned, but the fandom deserted my heart for some reason. If I get back into MHA I might pick it up, but so much happened since then... Otherwise I don't write a lot of multi-chaptered fics and I tend to write one shots in one go and post them immediately so I don't have that many WIPs.

16. What are your writing strengths? Big Feels I think? And emotional dialogues. That's what I enjoy anyway.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Fight scenes because I hate them. And also I feel like my vocabulary is not very varied since English is not my first language, sometimes I have the impression that I use the same words ten times in one fic...

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I do it if the other is not supposed to understand it, I like it. But I only ever did it with language I had a grasp on, it would feel strange to just google trad some stuff. If I can't and it's not that relevant I would just put "they said something in that language" or something like that.

19. First fandom you wrote for? Weirdly enough it was the manga/anime Get Backers. I went on a deep dive in search of this fic since I deleted it from my ff.net account a long time ago, and thus abandoned this post for several days, but I can't find it sadly. It was a self-insert.

20. Favorite fic you've written? I like my work a lot and reread it frequently. The ones I enjoy the most vary with time, but I have to say Flip the Coin for the sheer size and work that went into it and the audience it got. A true accomplishment in my book :)

i just had a random thought

for those of you who play hsr and have read mdzs, dont yall think that the yunmeng trio (jiangcheng wwx and nhs) kinda like dan feng/heng, blade, and jingyuan.

i didnt read tye hsr story that carefully so i may be wrong on some things

and spoiler warning for both mdzs and hsr, but nothing big with spoilers

dan feng/ heng is like wwx. Both of them kinda have mc energy, both of them were reincarnated (kinda?) and to me their just kinda similar

jiangcheng is like blade, they both have angsty emo sad energy. (And jiangcheng is somethimes shipped with wwx and dan feng/heng with blade)

jingyuan is nhs, the somewhat (very) intelligent one and... yeah i have nothing else.

and and and i saw like smth on pinterest that it was kinda sad that they started out as friends and ened up as strangers and enemies, which is kinda what happened with them.

its not completely the same cause i would saw that i believe that wwx is completely dan heng but jiangcheng is kinda also baiheng because when jiangcheng lost his golden core wwx and jyl had to cut out wwx's golden core to jc, which when baiheng die, dan heng/feng and blade tried to revieve her i think, i still think jingyuan is nhs with the body of nmj's body (buff).

do yall agree with me? I mean this is a thought ihad while rereading mdzs while string at dhil x jingyuan x blade fanart so i may be high on something who knows

actually one of my favorite little details in ep12 was pat and pran taking graduation pics with uncle tong and junior. not only because their relationship with those two is absolutely delightful and im so glad they kept their connection to these two strangers from the beach that signified two huge shifts in their relationship, but specifically because we don’t see any graduation pictures with the parents

My name is Bex, and this blog is where I store my omorashi writing. So if you feel uncomfortable with the idea of that at all, feel free to block me, I won't be upset about it.

I don't have a DNI thing. I don't particularly care what else you're into or anything like that so long as you aren't trying to force it onto anyone else. All the original content from my blog is SFW. Some of the reblogs may mention NSFW content, so heed this as a warning ahead of time if NSFW omo content is something that makes you uncomfortable.

I mostly only reblog prompts, or write my own. Occasionally I might make headcanons for an original character, I tend to not be very interested in fandomo. That being said, I'm still happy to hear anything about any headcanons you might have for common interests, and feel free to talk to me about non omo related fandom content too, I need more friends in some of these fandoms :)
