I'm also an English major (insert shaking hands meme), but additionally, I minor in History of the Arts and Cultural History, so I have strong opinions on museums and other nerdy shit. :D

Honestly, the buzz in the minutes before claiming starts - everyone is always so excited and I just love the energy!

Which batfam member do you think had an intense dinosaur phase?

I'm going to say Damian because if Goliath is anything to go by, he would love dinosaurs!

What’s your favorite romantic ship, if any?

Oof, what a choice! My favourite ship has to be TimKon - I'm a sucker for friends to lovers, especially with the whole super-secret business! They are just in love, your honour.

What’s your favorite dynamic?

Actually, that has to be Tim & Damian. There is so much potential in exploring their difficult relationship with each other, and I love seeing different takes on their dynamic as enemies-to-brothers.

Is there anything you’ve done for the batfam fandom that you’re especially proud of?

For last year's big bang, I wrote a Reverse!Robins fic that I am incredibly fond of. It's quite a niche fic, but it features Tim as the second robin, dying and coming back through the Lazarus Pit, and it centres on the relationship between Tim & Bruce as well as Tim & Damian.

It's an exploration of the concept of pit!Tim, and it can be found here: to burn out forever or light up a spark.

The fic also had three incredible artists: @kuppatan drew a portrait of pit!Tim here, @babbilon turned a scene from the fic into a stunning comic page here, and @bisexualoftheblade recorded podfic over here. They really worked magic on turning my writing into art!

12: Favourite character to write about this year

Stephanie Brown, easy. She's my spirit animal, so I might be doing a touch of projecting, but I honestly don't care. She's just pure chaos in the best way. Some of my favourite lines that I've written are for her. Such as:

"FEAR ME!"

"Welcome to Steph’s Glitter Bomb Palace, Where Snitches get Stitches™! So don’t tell Bruce or I’ll sic Jason on you."

She's also the character I've gotten the most comments on. People really seen to enjoy how I write her!

A close second would be Duke Thomas. Bliss, a fic I wrote for the 2020 Duke Week, was one of my favourites! Or maybe Damian? His dialogue just comes easy to me.

I have wanted to read a DCU/MCU crossover for a VERY long time. This story is such a delight. Your characterisation (and for me an introduction to The Signal) was fascinating in the extreme. I loved the game playing and the fact that I could watch (open-mouthed) as Bruce Wayne enjoyed childlike fun with his children and Alfred(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) was the cherry on top of the icing on top of the cake. I look forward to your updates in a way that you wouldn't believe.

Gen/just Batfam

Crack fic based off this piece of dialogue (came from a convo between my sister and I): Tim reached forward and poked Duke's face. "You're right!" He exclaimed. "You really *do* squish like a block of wood!" Duke Centric.

Based on THIS Incorrect Quotes. Talia moves into the Manor because she's sick of Ra's. Featuring a bunch of good mom!Talia.

Based off THIS Incorrect Quotes. Jason runs for President as Red Hood. I have so many ideas! This'll be really fun.

Duke Thomas Big Bang Fic (can't say much, but it'll be great!)

Platonic (need to be certain you understand that. There were some misconceptions w/ my Discord server) Slow Burn between Tim and Damian. At the beginning the absolutely despise each other. But over time they realise their own insecurities, and how they don't actually hate the other. And by the end they fully admit and embrace their being brothers.

Birdflash

Birdflash in the JL/JLU universe (based off that one hexagon by @novaviis ! Super fun!). The league is inviting potential members to the Watchtower one day. Except Wally wasn't there during the choosing of said members. So he's completely shocked when his husband Nightwing shows up. They have to act like they don't know each other, which basically involves Dick flirting his butt off with Wally, Wally trying desperately to remain professional, Bruce digging in the corner, the rest of the League in varying degrees of disapproval and confusion (at least a couple have seen Wally's wedding ring. So that adds a while 'nother layer).

Young Justice soulmate au. Dick, and eventually everyone else, knows that Wally is his soulmate. Wally is oblivious. Lots of pining and angst in this one. Slow burn to an extent (depends on how long I make it). But definitely a happy fluffy ending in sight!

Batfam Meets Young Justice

THIS fic.

Duke gets yeeted into the YJ universe, and promptly passes out. He wakes up in the Watchtower, and breaks out of the confinement the Team has set up for him. Pulls shenanigans (some unwittingly) and used his powers. The Team and JL are confused, and panicking. Because this guy keeps muttering things about the Batfam. And he has a bat on his chest.

The Team break into some ancient temple after getting info on a new Supervillian plot. They find purple clothed woman draped across a throne. She talks, and they panic, as she knows all their secret identities. The only one who isn't, is Tim. He looks bored. Alternatively: Steph needs Tim's credit card to take his sister out on a date, and absolutely refuses to text.

While the Team is on a mission to stop Lady Shiva, a dimensional portal opens up and spits out a strange Robin (Damian) and what seemed to be a female Batman (Cass as Black Bat). This new dynamic due promptly defeats Lady Shiva and all the goons. The Team is freaked out, and 'apprehends' the dimensional anomalies, bringing them back to the Watchtower. Where the due promptly break and and start chaos. Featuring "Toxic" by Britney Spears. I will not explain why.

The Watchtower gets a sudden emergency message from the Batcave. They accept, to find a stranger calling himself Signal panicking about Robin being missing. They all look at Tim, who ignores them, and says that he doesn't know where Robin is. Some naming shenanigans occur.

(Not sure if this fits here, oh well) Set in Season One, Bruce is tired of Clark's attitude towards Superboy, and adopts the clone himself. Not sure how far this'll go, but at least goes through Dick's time as Robin. (Based on THIS Tumblr post)

(Also iffy on placement) a continuation of one (not sure which? Probably Damian as older) Reverse Robins fics. It's a retelling of Season One of YJ, with Dick as Robin. Nightwing (Damian) feels protective of his brother, and so takes on the role Black Canary had in the show, training the Team. But as time goes on, he ends up being more of a big brother to the group. Cameos from the rest of the Batfam as well! And an Identity Reveal (including finding out Dick and Dami are brothers) at the end!

Batfam Meets the Justice League

Cass takes over being Batman for a bit, because Bruce was an idiot and broke his leg. This happens to line up with when the Justice League reach out to the Dark Knight, in order to extend an invitation to the league. They eventually meet Bruce as Batman, and are confused as to why he is so tall. And male.

Joyfire

Lian accidentally reveals her three parents' relationship by calling Bruce 'grandpa' over dinner.

Museum Heist

THIS fic

Operation: Seduce Nightwing. Based on a post for an ATLA ot3, Wally and Artemis realise silumaneously “Hey, we kinda have the hots for Dick” and decide together to see if he likes them back. Which involves a heck ton of over the top flirting, and shenanigans. The Team is sighing on the sidelines at their idiocy. Dick is internally combusting and thinking “Do they like me back? I’’m not sure.” 

5 times Dick and Wally fought over being the middle spoon, and one time Artemis had had enough.

Set in Season 3 (but ignores some canon), Bart is kidnapped by some mad scientist obsessed with the Speed Force. The Team mobilizes, and gets Bart back from the evil base. But when they get there, they find Wally West freed from the Speed Force. He and Artemis reunite, and everyone is happy. They prepare to leave. Then the Pick-up Squad arrive in the bioship, and Dick gets out. Everyone is expecting Dick to give Wally a hug, because hey, he's his best friend! What they weren't expecting was him to run forward and pull the speedster into a passionate kiss. They go back to the Watchtower, and some more stuff happens.

Soulmate AU where the first thing your soulmate says to you after they fall in love with you is tattooed on your body.

Post Season Two Get Together. Starts with Artemis living with Dick as opposed to Will. Might be Slow Burn? (They come pretty close to kissing) Eventually Wally comes back. Arty and Wally are back together. They both live in the same house as Dick, for convenience. Then some more Slow Burn happens. Maybe some Birdflash moments. Arty tells Wally she kinda had a thing for Dick. Wally admits the same. Maybe a touch more Slow Burn. They Eventually get together.

Batlantern

AU where Bruce met Hal back when he first came back to Gotham. Fic goes through how their relationship evolves over the years (up until current time, when Damian is 13). I'm considering a relationship reveal with the Justice League.

Hal's interactions with Bruce's kids.

Green Lantern Corp acting protective of Hal when Bruce comes to Oa. This was an ask that I got, and I'm holding off on writing it till I get as much into on the GL's as possible, as all I know if their characterization comes from that animated series, and Guy Gardener's (Hilarious!) parts on Young Justice.

Marvel

Like 3 different versions of the Peter Parker Field Trip to Stark Tower Trope.

2-part Crossover with the Batfam (they exist in the same universe), where the Avengers go to a Wayne Gala, and interact with the family. The second chapter involves them heading out the next night to try and contact Batman.

May you write headcanons about batfam helping their S/o with mundane, highschool life? Or sth like that?

I kinda made this in a way that the boys are of the same age astheir s/o and it became something like this instead. My fingers have minds oftheir own and next thing I know, this happened. I’m really not sure what Iwrote anymore lol but thank you for sending in your request and nevertheless,enjoy!

Bruce has surprisingly high grades inhis music classes and this always surprises you because where and how does hefind the time? You are always at his house and he has never shown any interestin doing any of his school work whenever you came over to his house to work onyours.

But you should have known he wouldexcel in everything he decides to do when he gives it a try. You are bad atcomposition but Bruce is really good at performing pieces exactly like how theyare meant to be played so the two of you make a really good duo in music class.

You are also good at improvising,given the fact that half of your time in school is making sure the teachers don’tfind out where Bruce is. Not that they don’t have an inkling as to where he isbut you make a very convincing point sometimes they just let it slide. Also,Bruce’s family has a share over the school so they really can’t do much.

Bruce doesn’t like going to hisclasses and sometimes he makes you skip with him. “Alfred taught me until thesyllabus is done – I can teach you better than the teacher can!” He will alwaystry to convince you and you have never been able to say no to Bruce so what theheck.

If you have a ton of assignments todo, Bruce normally just leaves you alone after giving you a kiss or two and apromise to bring over your favourite take-out food or take you out on a date toyour favourite dessert place because “you deserve it after pouring all thatbrain of yours on your work”

Supportive!! If you have to do aspeech presentation to the entire school, will be there to help you. MakesAlfred help you too because Alfred teaches him all of these things and he hassome really good pointers like how not to sound so nervous and sound verylaidback and confident.

That school festival you are acommittee of, Bruce will make sure you take your rests when needed and low-keyhelps out too. He doesn’t want people to know because he doesn’t want to take creditfor all the work that you have put in to. Very proud of you and will alwaysshow you just how much he absolutely loves and adores your work. Wouldn’t evenmind putting on the school festival’s mascot to attract more people to come.

The both of you most likely end up asProm King and Queen because the two of you are the IT couple / high schoolsweetheart.

Dick is over-all a well-rounder. Heis smart, cheeky, lovely and everyone in the school loves and adores him. Allthe girls look at him with hearts in their eyes and half of the boys look athim with envy and the other half with respect. You are lucky to be his. Dickalways helps you out with your student council activities. He would have runfor President himself had he want the unwanted attention on him so he settlesjust for being the secretary – leaving the VP spot for somebody else.

Dick makes the best notes so the bothof you are always comparing notes and doing study sessions together. Dick alsohelps you memorize your points as well as your notes easily. Would evenrandomly ask you questions whenever you are about to have tests. He just makessure you are absolutely ready.

Very supportive and he is proud ofeverything you try to achieve in the school. Low-key likes showing you off tohis family members. “Y/N is the best at everything she does!” “Yesterday sheplaced in the top 1% of the world for accounting.” And Dick and you areliterally known as the power couple / the sweet hearts in school.

Jason is low-key very smart but hejust doesn’t care much for his own studies or wants to do any of hisassignments. He has a very typical ‘jock’ profile but he doesn’t really hangout with them much. He prefers to use his free time to go look for you.Sometimes he finds you sitting in the library reading your books for assignmentso he helps you by pointing out this and that and helps you with yourdiscussions. The type of boyfriend that helps you out with your homework butcould care less for his own works.

“Jason, you need to do your work. You’realready behind.” You would have to tell him multiple times over the week butJason only shrugs you off and sometimes shushes you with a kiss or two, orthree. But at the end of the week, just when you think Jason is going to getscolded by the lecturers or teachers, he shows up with all of the assignmentshe didn’t do and hands them in.

Not so surprisingly he gets all A+ onhis assignments like how.

He takes care of you very well inschool. Makes sure no one bullies you – GET AWAY FROM HER – and he is alwaysready at the cafeteria with your favourite dessert that also happens to be thecrowd’s favourite. “Here you go, babe. Got the last one just for you.”

When you are stressed out withhomework, Jason will ask you to come over to the manor. “Alfred makes the bestsandwiches – I’ll help you do your work. Come over.”

Tim is a very lazy genius so youreally have to push Tim if you want him to hand any of his assignments on time.Tim just needs someone to constantly push him and remind him to do theassignments. That’s where you come in. You are his personal reminder not thatyou mind because at the end of the day, you also get your assignments donefaster and Tim’s explanations are always so simple and not confusing at all.

Tim lends you his notes. Sometimesyou copy his notes but most times, you just keep those notes to yourselfbecause holy crap, Tim’s notes are the best. He writes down points so easilyand his mind-maps are very effective too. Tim likes it when you ask him forhelp with your studies. “Babe, I just have a very good memory.”

Both of you are involved in a sportsclub – that’s for sure. Lacrosse for you, maybe. So you are never afraid to getthings done. Tim is that supportive boyfriend who comes to your every game –even those where you have to sit out because of an injured body part orsomething. He has hand-made banners with your name and number and he also wearsa jersey with your number on it too. Proud boyfriend™

Damian is a prodigy / child genius soanything and everything you don’t know; Damian will help you. Like that mathequation you just cannot solve? Don’t worry, despite his snarky comments,Damian will teach you the easiest way for you to solve equations that aresimilar to it. He even breaks down problems for you to solve it with ease.

Damian is a Spartan tutor – not thatyou could complain much when Damian pops by your house bringing tutorials andproblem sets for you to do because your grades have never been this wonderfuland your parents think he is a blessing!

“Y/N, this is how you should d –whatever the teacher taught, just forget about it.” Damian will continuously tellthis to you through every subject he is tutoring you in.

Damian’s favourite subject in schoolis probably language and history. Your best subject is probably sciences orarts. You are a hands-on person so you tend to find doing practical really funand easy. Drawing and painting are really nice too and you enjoy themabsolutely. Damian likes watching you paint because your look of concentrationis just too adorable for him at times. Not that he will ever tell you –sometimes you often think he is bored but whenever he has to wait for you tofinish, the moment you stop, Damian would tell you to continue.

“I want to see the finish product –the colours are so abstract but everything works.” Damian isn’t really in toart much but he knows how to appreciate it when he sees it and he definitelysees it in your pieces. Might even be that boyfriend who will always continueto push you towards achieving great things.

a/n: okay, so i’ve decided to extend the poll until sunday at midnight. I was planning on closing it tonight but because this part is only going up now i’m going to keep it open. As with part two, Jason is still in the lead with 41% of the vote, you all must love Jason because they’ve only interacted twice and it’s been bare minimum. Anyway! Enjoy and don’t forget to vote. I should also have a stand-alone oneshot for Harper coming out soon because my little bird needs some love.  It is also now one am, so I’m sorry if this sucks and I’m sorry it’s shorter than the other two parts. 

“Thank you.” [Y/N] was shocked, hearing the compliment come from Barbara was amazing as, after she got the job and went home the night before she spent a few hours watching videos of Barbara dancing from a young age to the night before the accident that made it so she was now in a wheelchair and she was left in awe of how graceful and beautifully the red-headed woman moved.   [Y/N] reached a hand out to take Barbara’s and she shook it, squeezing it gently to make it firm, something she was always told to do as a child.

As both hands retracted back, a smile spread across Barbara’s face as she motioned to the two girls who were standing beside [Y/N], “I hope everyone, including these two menaces, are treating you well?”

Nodding, a small chuckle passed through the lips of [Y/N] as she looked to the two girls from the corners of her eyes, “They have. They're all very lovely.” Barbara nodded as well and ran a hand through her red hair, pushing a loose hair behind her ear and tucking it behind her glasses leg. “That’s good. Come one, Bruce wants to talk to you three about next week's theme and dances.”

The three girls followed behind Barbara, [Y/N] remained somewhat silent while the other three engaged in conversation with one another and [Y/N] only spoke when she was spoken to by one of the other three, they all seemed confused as to why she wasn’t engaging in the conversation but she simply didn’t want to interrupt because they seemed so close and she was still a bit of an outsider.

“So, [Y/N], what brought you to Gotham?” Looking to Stefanie, who had asked the question, [Y/N] let out a small sigh, not one of annoyance but one of contempt and acceptance. “I just graduated college with a major degree in chemical engineering and a minor degree in business, somehow my father managed to get me an internship  with a big firm here, I can’t even remember the name.” As she started to twiddle her fingers, [Y/N] looked to the ground.

“But I’m not type of person who gets coffee for a misogynistic asshole who would do nothing to help me further myself in the field and would instead force me to get him coffee for the rest of his career and make unwanted sexual advances towards me. So, I quit before my first day and my roommate, Ivy, told me about the opening here.”

“I think you’re talking about Bryce Martel, he’s a sleazebag that used to come here all the time. Babs was his favourite dancer. I actually think his daughter marina auditioned with you?” Looking over to Cassandra now, [Y/N] thought about the other girls she auditioned with and what their names were.

“Yeah, there was a Marina. Didn’t seem to happy that I got the job.” All three of the girls shook their heads, as if that was an expected response from the girl. “Sounds about right. Marina is a daddy's little girl that's used to getting what she wants, has been trying to get a job here since she became legal. We think it’s just because she hasn’t gotten over Jason, they were a thing when they were both teenagers, but it was nothing serious.” This time it was Barbara that spoke.

Jason, [Y/N] thought back to who Jason was and an image of the man out front with the messy black hair that had a white streak through it and the brown leather jacket that seemed to fit his broad shoulder and arms very well, showing of his muscles well. “The bodyguard?” The others nodded and [Y/N] let out a ‘huh’ sound.

Barbaras knocking on the Bruce’s offices door broke her out of her train of thought and the deep ‘come in’ that sounded through the door sent a shiver down her spine, as even from a distance the voice of Bruce Wayne was intimidating. Barbara opened the door and as the four girls entered the office they were greeted with Dick, Jason, Tim, Duke, Harper, Helena,Kate (who she had meet that night while getting a bottle of water when she first arrived) and another man who was unfamiliar to [Y/N], but he was tall and handsome with bright blue eyes and dark hair, much like Bruce, but he had a much kinder look about him than Bruce did.

“This is my associate Clark Kent. He’s a journalist and wants to run a piece on the members of the team here at the Dark Knight, as well as the club as a whole. “ Bruce looked over the group he had with him and then his eyes settled on [Y/N], “[Y/N], I know your situation is….complicated, so you will not have a personal piece written about you.” Nodding along, a sigh of relief pass through [Y/N]’s lips, she didn’t want her parents finding out about her and they liked to read the papers so a personal piece about her was a sure fire way to find out about her. “However, you will have photo takens of you during the performances next week. These photos, though, will be mainly be long shots where it will be hard to make out faces. You should be fine.” Again, [Y/N] nodded.

“Clark will interview some of you tonight before closing.” Bruce pushed his chair back and crossed one leg over the other while he leaned his elbows on the arms of his chair, clasping his hands together and pressing it against his chin. “On the topic of the next week’s performances, they will all be from the hit musical Chicago. All of you will do mid-night performance of The Cell Block Tango, as well some of the other dancers to make up the numbers, and you will be partnered up. Dick with Cassandra doing the cicero, Tim with Stefanie pop, Jason with [Y/N] doing the six, and Duke you will be with Helena and you will do uh-uh part.”

The group looked at their respective partners, and they all seemed comfortable with their partners, even Jason seemed comfortable as he looked [Y/N] up and down. But, [Y/N] was slightly intimidated, this was a big dance and she didn’t know if she was ready for it. “I know they don’t seem like it [Y/N], but Jason and Tim are also dancers, they just choose to do different things in the club that they are better at. However, because this is a piece about family then they will be taking part whether they like it or not and you will be dancing in Barbara’s place.”

“You will also be doing a solo dance to a Chicago song of your choice and it will be choreographed by Dick.” That seemed to be the end of it as Bruce spoke one last time, “Now, the club is closing soon. You girls better prepare for the final dance and then you may all go home. Be safe going home though, Gotham can be dangerous at night.”

Everyone soon filed out of the room and went back to their respective places, the girls to the stage, Tim to the control console for the stage, Dick to backstage, Duke to the DJ booth, Helena and Kate back to the bar, and Jason back to the doors as people prepared to leave slightly drunk.

The final dance was quick, and when she finished [Y/N] was out of breath and sweaty but she was happy as the adrenaline coursed through her body and the applause of the crowd filled her ears.  

The other dancers were quick to leave, simply stripping from their costumes and getting into a pair of sweats and tank tops, giving goodbyes as they leave. [Y/N], however, spent some time getting her breath back from the performance and wiping the makeup that was beginning to smudge from her face and this left her as, what seemed to be the last person there. Of course that wasn’t true.

“You nearly done?” [Y/N] jumped slightly, Jason's voice scaring her as he spoke from behind her, never mind the fact that she was now simply standing in her underwear. But she paid no mind to that aspect as she pulled on her change of clothes, grey sweatpants and a red top that was branded with ‘New York City’.

“You scared me.”

“Sorry, didn’t mean to. But you gave me quite the scare as well. Didn’t think there was anyone else here and I can’t lock up until everyone’s gone.” [Y/N] glanced over to Jason with a raised eyebrow.

“Sorry. Didn’t know that I was holding you back.” Jason shook his head, “Nah, I don’t mind. But now I’m gonna take you home because it’s dangerous at this time of night and I wouldn’t trust any of the cabbies in this city as far as I could throw them.”

[Y/N] now stood up straight with her eyebrow raised higher and her arms crossed over her chest, “I’m a big girl, I can take care of myself.” Jason chuckled slightly and ruffled his hair, “You probably could kick most of the thugs in this cities ass if you’re fighting skills as good as your dancing skills.” Now [Y/N] rolled her eyes and let out a chuckle,”Okay, you got me there.”

[Y/N] lifted her bag, a sports bag, and moved the strap over her head so that the strap was on her right shoulder while the bag itself sat against her left hip and gave Jason a smile that he returned. “So you’re ready?” [Y/N] nodded and she followed Jason out of the building and towards the car park where a lone motorbike stood, Jason lifted the helmet that sat on it and handed it to [Y/N], “You’ll need it more than me.”  As she placed the helmet on her head, [Y/N] watched as Jasons back muscles flexed under his jacket as he got onto the back, his arms stretching out to grip the handles and turn the key to turn the motorbike on.

“Climb on.” [Y/N] barely heard the sound of his voice over the sound of the motorbike, but she did as she was told and threw her leg over the the motobike and wrapped her arms around Jason’s torso tightly.

Jason kicked the stand up and revved the engine for the bike before he started off, [Y/N] didn’t question how Jason knew where he was going as she just presumed that as the security he knew where all the staff lived.

The journey was quick, but it was exciting as [Y/N] felt the wind whip against her arms and sting at her skin as she had nothing to cover herself with, having only worn a short sleeved shirt. When Jason pulled up to her apartment complex, [Y/N] climbed of the bike and removed the helmet, handing it back to Jason as a smile broke onto her face as she brushed her hair back with her hand.

“That was amazing.” Jason smirked and raised an eyebrow, “Ah, so the princess is an adrenaline junkie?” A scoff of disbelief passed [Y/N]s lips as she rolled her eyes and briefly looked away from Jason to her window, where she saw Ivy peeking out, “I am not an adrenaline junkie.” Pushing against Jason chest as he sat back slightly on his bike and cross his arms. “Oh yeah?”

“Yeah.I just liked the feeling of the wind against my skin and moving so quickly through the silence of the city. It was...amazing. I only ever feel anything like that when I’m performing.” Jason’s smirk now turned into a smile, “I guess I’ll have to take you out again sometime.”

“Yeah, I guess you will.” [Y/N] stepped forward slightly and pressed a kiss to Jason’s cheek before she stepped back once again, “Thanks Jason. Good night.” With that, the girl turned away from Jason and walked into her apartment building, ignoring the pounding of her heart against her chest, not from the ride but from Jason.

so like ive only read about the huge DC comic events on TV tropes (i was trying to figure out what was going on with 52 ending while never having read any of it) but the events really won me over. which ones have you read and which are your favourites?

Okay well… my top favorite event would have to be the Trinity series (I think it was around 2008 or so?) you can read it all here! It’s pretty incredible. Good art, good writing, good characterization. Brings several awesome minor characters into the foreground, gives us a tour around a few dimensions, and does a great character study of the DC big three. Plus, we get a few cool new villains!! All in all, it’s my favorite thing DC’s ever done! 

The whole Knightfall arc with Batgirl was just. Wow. Yes. Giving Babs a villain that serious was a great move, if you ask me, and it made the arc’s ending that much more satisfying. I hate when Batgirl gets watered down into a sidekick or, heaven forbid, a romantic pass-around for the men in the Batfamily, so reading this story was a breath of fresh air. It’s about as dark as Batman stories get, too, which was also nice! I’m not even that big a fan of gruesome stuff, myself, but it was good bad guy motivation. And I genuinely cannot stress enough how 

I dug the whole Night of Owls arc, which I originally read in the pencils-only Unwrapped version because… I’m, y’know, pretentious like that. Also because it was the only version I could find. But I dug it a lot, both for the art and for the concept of something that big and dangerous existing in Gotham City that even Batman didn’t know about. It was cool to see him that thrown off, and it created one of my favorite satellite Batfam members, Strix. 

All of the original Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle run. The hero we need, but not the one we deserve. 

I’m sure there are more out there that I’ve enjoyed and whatnot, but these are the first that come to mind! I’d suggest staying away from Blackest Night/Brightest Day if you don’t like page after page of angst (though I’m big on Swamp Thing and Deadman, who we got to see a lot of,) aaaand I really haven’t touched any New 52 stuff because… yikes.

Relationship Status: Single and ready to mingle build-an-impenetrable-blanket-fort-around-me-that-only-the-elite-can-access.  Last Song I Listened To: The Bad Touch by Bloodhound Gang. (because who doesn’t love crappy 90′s music?) Last book Read/Listened To: Proper-novel-wise, I believe that it was Mockingjay, but I can’t remember - it was before Christmas and I’ve slept since then. I’ve read the entire Manga (so far) of Sekaiichi Hatsukoi over the last  couple of days, I’ve never read Yaoi before...It’s normally not the kind of thing that I would gravitate towards reading (I haven’t even read manga since my mid-teens) but I’m a sucker for a good old I-hate-you-but-I-love-you-dramatic-romance trope. Favourite Colour: Blue, da ba dee da ba die... Or purple, it’s up for debate. Top Three Shows: Fuck - um - American Horror Story, Game of Thrones and Gotham. It changes regularly which ones are my favourites.   Top three characters: Double fuck - THE ENTIRETY OF THE BATFAMILY - My absolute fave batfam member would have to be Damian Wayne though (’cause he’s a little shit. It’s such a close toss-up between him and Jason, it physically hurts me to choose,) Garrus Vakarian from Mass Effect (because he’s ma bro) and Yuri Katsuki from Yuri on Ice (mainly because I can relate to him)... ALSO PIDGE GUNDERSON! Top three ships: You know, I’ve never actually thought about it - If I had to pick: HarlIvy, VicYuri and TimKon would be up there. I’m not a hardcore shipper though, even with all of the romantic drabble that I read and watch. Haha.
