I don’t go here but I’m sorry. The way that fandom treats Timber does not sit right with me.

Unlike things like Jayjon, Timber was made with good intentions and slowly eased you into the idea of Tim being queer. Then how it was dealt afterwards was not all that bad, it was very much a comic book romance and appeared in some of Tim’s comics outside of things like pride specials, and it appeared as a casual thing, like yes, Tim was dating a guy at the time and they didn’t make a big deal about it.

Also, there’s plenty of straight romances of two characters that get put together, go through the motions together, it’s very much a new thing for them and does kind of feel unnatural because these characters haven’t shown much interest to each other before but that’s kind of just how comic romances are sometimes, we only care now because it’s gay and now vulnerable to a lot of scrutiny.

I can’t deny that Tim Drake needs something healthy like a Bernard right now. I’m glad they went through with this type of romance for him lowkey. He needs someone he knows he can go home to.

I keep thinking about how Ezio's Family became the overall theme song for Assassin's Creed, and it upsets me so much. I've got nothing against the song, I love it and it's a beautiful song, but in my head that's Ezio's song, and it feels so wrong to hear that song in games he's not a part of, if that makes sense.

The platonic/familial ("&") vs romantic/sexual ("/") binary of ao3 is kinda frustrating. I get why it's a thing, but like. Sometimes I just want to see the two characters and I don't care if they're kissing or not! and having to decide which half of the content for them to look through at any given time is annoying.

Not even to mention trying to tag my own works when idgaf about relationship labels and categorizations like that, or when it's an ambiguous or queerplatonic relationship, or otherwise doesn't fit into the platonic-romantic/sexual binary.

My friend hates Toji Fushiguro so I’m making a post entirely about him to piss her off

Here is how the Fushiguro series of events goes, as far as information we have goes:

2002, December 22; Megumi Fushiguro is born

At some point, his mother dies, and Toji sells him to the Zen’in Clan.

2006, Toji Fushiguro dies.

Megumi Fushiguro is picked up by Satoru Gojo.

Now, that final point is loosely dated. Given how the series of events goes in the flashback arc, it can be assumed that he finds the kids after Suguru defects. This happens in September 2006.

When meeting Megumi for the first time, Satoru asks “are you really a first grader?” (because he’s being such a brat)

The first year crew began elementary school in April of 2009. This means that there’s about a year and seven month gap between Suguru leaving and Satoru finding Megumi.

The gap makes a little more sense with the context that Satoru would have finished his fourth and last year at Jujutsu High in March, 2009. So: he graduates, and maybe a month later finds Megumi. This could be challenged by him still wearing his uniform.

If the gap (and the uniform) bother you that much, you could make the argument that Satoru is shit with kids, and called Megumi a first grader when he was actually a kindergartner. This pushes the date he takes in the Fushiguros back to sometime 2008.

Now, for the Toji part.

The way I interpret Toji abandoning Megumi is more indulgent than some others.

The way my version of events goes is this; Mrs. Fushiguro dies, and Toji is overwhelmed with grief. He meets Tsumiki’s mother, already raising a child on her own.

Toji doesn’t want to raise Megumi. He’s a reminder of his dead wife. So he finds this woman, a mother in her own right, and marries her in the hope that she will raise Megumi until the Zen’in Clan takes him; and if he doesn’t develop a technique, he’ll be raised in a semi-normal family.

Of course, this doesn’t work out. He gets killed in 2006. And after the money he sends to support Megumi and Tsumiki stops coming, she leaves too. Presumably around 2008; after which Satoru swoops in and becomes a single father at nineteen.
