Hey y'all, I'm still alive! Huzzah! xD I'll admit August has kinda just flown like a blur, and I'm still trying to recover from my sickness. But while that was going on I hit a nostalgia kick, and... well, this is the result! xD
As a 2000s kid I grew up watching all sorts of cartoons, but I especially remember Thomas and Friends. One of my fondest memories of that time was me and my little brother having breakfast before school, and as the intro played and Thomas went into the tunnel, we'd always be excited to see if today's episode would have the static faces or the moving ones (the show wasn't all CGI yet so we saw both types of episodes). It was a lot of fun. xD
Of course, none of the episodes were neccessarily in order. But while I was sick I decided to rectify that by going back and watching the show from the beginning, and... yeah, I got hooked on it pretty fast. x'D And it's given me a newfound appreciation for the show that I never really had as a kid, and especially for the characters that I otherwise would barely think twice about.
Like these two little gremlins, good ol' Bill and Ben.
If there are two things I have an incredibly soft spot for, it's the found family trope and just sibling dynamics in general. And Thomas and Friends was kind enough to give me two sets of twin brothers to get hopelessly attached to! xD (I absolutely adore Donald and Douglas as well, and I want to draw them too eventually!! <3)
Between petty sibling banter and causing chaos for all the bigger engines around them, they are just so silly and I love them for it. x'D I also find their relationships with BoCo and Edward particularly sweet, especially in fanworks. There's just so much to love and I'm just such a sucker for this kind of duo. x"D
But yeah! That's pretty much how August has gone for me. Watching the original Thomas and Friends and getting hopelessly attached to the characters in it. xD It's actually been a lot of fun! And learning how to draw the trains has been both challenging and equally fun. :D I think I needed a nice challenge to really get my creative juices flowing again, and this was just the challenge I needed!
Not to worry, though! I'm sure I'll be back in the Fnaf boat soon enough. As, like William Afton, I always come back to it. xD
That's all for now though! Thanks for sticking with me during my semi-hiatus, and look forward to more art coming soon! <3
And as a bonus for making it all the way through my rambling, here's a bonus Bill!
Tumblr media
Is he plotting revenge on Ben? Is he plotting World Domination? Or is he just judging someone? Who knows! xD And as always, thanks for looking everybody!~ ^w^

HOW TO ROMANTICIZE YOUR LIFE
⪩ 𔘓 ⪨
Today I'm going to give you some tips(activities)on how you can romanticize your 3d reality, and not only make your experience more enjoyable, but also manifest things better!
୨୧use vintage cameras୨୧
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know those old vhs high school vlogs that you can find on youtube or those high school vlogs from years ago?, see how much fun they have? Try to capture the moment with the sole reason to capture it! It will be fun to look back to them years to come!
୨୧Leave your mark on things୨୧
Now I don't want to promote illigal actions but if you want you can go in those grunge like Abandoned places like an old train or wall and sign it or do graffiti on it!
୨୧Go on a trip with your friends୨୧
It doesn't have to be too long, it can be just as short as going in the sea! Or drive with your bike through the hills of the city, it can just be a walk too!
୨୧Get a secret place/hideout୨୧
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is so movie like, if you notice everyone has a special place where to hangout, some times it's a studio, sometimes it's a tree house other times it can be the school library or just an abandoned place! If you want for example to make your life more like a movie, places like this will immediately make you affirm that "I the teenage dream life" or that "my life it's like a coming of age movie".
୨୧Make a burn book୨୧
Idea that came from the one and only mean girls! You don't really have to do it with your friends, just do it for yourself and unleash your rage, this is an amazing outlet for rage and other feelings that may distrupt you thought processing in your manifestation!
୨୧Watch childhood movies୨୧
Barbie movie, monster high movies, bratz movies etc ... If you have DVDs try to look between them, maybe you'll find some good oldie! You can even do a movie night just about hitting some nostalgia! Try to remember the feelings your felt while watching them, and use those positive feelings in your manifestations.
୨୧Photobooths and polaroids୨୧
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Similar to the digicam idea! This are such cute ideas if you want to decorate your room ~ over the years I saw how creative we can get with these, you can add some pics in your manifestation journal or write and affirmation under or behind them!
Tumblr media

Syncing Dream [Aespa x M!Reader]
1. New life…as what now?
Note: primary vs secondary acc issue, repost it now to the right place. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
It had been years since Y/n left the relentless grind of trainee life behind him. It was a chapter he thought they'd never revisit—especially not from the outside looking in.
His new life had a quieter rhythm.
No more sprinting to dance practices or losing sleep memorising lyrics. Instead, Y/n had been picking up odd jobs in the entertainment industry—small gigs, freelance work, and most recently, running errands for people still in the idol bubble. Heck, he even finished his mandatory services the moment he left his early days.
Y/n stretched, basking in a rare moment of peace as he sat in a quiet café. The iced Americano sweating in front of him was untouched, but that wasn’t a surprise.
He weren’t really there to drink coffee. More like he was trying to figure out what came next. The timeframe of unemployment is real…
Sure, there were opportunities, but nothing that screamed "this is it!"
Just as his thoughts began to drift into existential territory, their phone buzzed on the table.
"SM CEO."
Y/n’s brow furrowed. SM? What could they possibly want? He hadn't stepped foot in that building since—
No time to dwell. He swiped to answer.
"Hello, sir?"
A crisp, professional voice on the other end greeted them, and Y/n immediately recognized it—the CEO he occasionally met during their trainee days. "Y/n, it’s been a while."
Y/n nodded, as if the person on the phone could see them. "Good morning sir. What’s up?"
"Ah, nothing too stressful. I just want to ask how would you feel about rejoining the team—"
Y/n’s heart skipped a beat. "Wait, wait, wait," he interrupted, half-joking, half-anxious. "With all due respect, you’re not trying to re-sign me as a trainee, are you? I don’t think my back can handle another round of choreography."
The voice chuckled lightly. "No, no. Not as a trainee. We actually have a bit of a different proposition for you. It’s related to aespa."
"aespa?" That name hit Y/n like a sudden gust of wind.
aespa. The super rookies who had been making waves all over the industry and one of the biggest girl groups leading the 4th generation of K-pop.
And Winter… his mind went there instinctively.
While they still regularly talked to each other, he remembered he was adamant about leaving his past trainee life behind and pursue blue collar jobs. Winter was someone Y/n had trained alongside before she debuted.
Y/n felt a pang of nostalgia—mixed with a little guilt. He didn’t want to be a disappointment to his childhood friend. "what about them?"
-
“Wait, hold up… what?”
The words felt stuck in Y/n’s throat, awkwardly lodged between disbelief and mild panic. The fluorescent lights above the SM CEO’s office flickered softly, adding to the sense of surrealistic reality. Y/n’s palms felt clammy as the director continued with that calm, almost amused smile, the kind that said, "Welcome to the deep end of the pool—good luck swimming."
“You’re going to manage aespa,” the director said again, this time like he was offering Y/n a cup of coffee, not rearranging his entire life.
Y/n blinked, their mind working overtime to piece together what was just said. “Manage… as in… manage manage?” He tried to keep their voice steady, but the end of the sentence squeaked out a little too much. It didn’t help that the director just nodded, nonchalant as ever.
"Yes. You're aware we're short-staffed, and your background as a trainee means you're already familiar with how the company operates. Their current manager had to step down suddenly due to health reasons, and we need someone to step in on short notice. Someone familiar with the company’s ways and preferably, someone who’s worked with Winter before. That’s where you come in."
Y/n’s heart did a weird flip. Of all the things he had expected—maybe helping out behind the scenes, doing some coordination work—this was not it. Y/n was barely done figuring out their own path, and now he had to figure out the path for one of K-pop’s biggest girl groups?
The panic was rising, but Y/n swallowed hard, trying to keep it together. “B-but, I was just a trainee before this.. I've never took any management courses before?”
The director leaned forward slightly, folding his hands together. “Yet, that experience as a trainee means you know about the idols' health and wellbeing more than everyone else. Everything else you can definitely learn on the job.”
"B-but-"
"And we think it will be better as well considering you and Minjeong auditioned together and got in together."
Ah right, Winter and Y/n were childhood friends. Sure, managing her wouldn't be too hard considering god knows how long they hung out together, but the rest of the members? Just the thought of it made Y/n gulped.
"Don't worry, the other managers will teach you your role. Red Velvet's manager will brief you after our talk." The director stood up, signalling the end of the conversation. “Your first day starts tomorrow. Get some rest tonight.”
Leaving Y/n alone in the room, he thought "…Minjeong will have a fcking field day with this…”
-
Y/n hadn’t slept a wink. The alarm clock was practically taunting them as it beeped at 6 a.m., the early start not unusual in idol life.
If the old Y/n—back when he was a trainee—had thought the pace of idol life was fast, stepping into a manager’s shoes was like jumping onto a bullet train already at full speed. There was no time to get acclimated, no luxury of easing into the role. Y/n showed up to the SM building the very next morning, and the minute he stepped through those familiar glass doors, the whirlwind began.
"Y/n, good to see you again!" One of the staff greeted them, barely pausing for pleasantries as she handed them a clipboard. "Here’s aespa’s schedule for the next two days. Red Velvet's manager will teach you today, but from tomorrow onwards, it’s all on you."
Y/n blinked, scanning the clipboard. Music show rehearsal. Commercial shoot. Dance practice. Fan sign event. And that was just before lunch on day one. "Wow… this is… intense," he muttered under their breath.
The staff member laughed. "Welcome to the life of an idol manager. You’ll get used to it."
He wasn’t ready for this. Hell no.
Yet, somehow, at 8:45 a.m., Y/n found himself standing outside aespa’s practice room, a bundle of nerves in the pit of their stomach. Through the glass window, Y/n could see the four girls, laughing about something, stretching, and getting ready to practice, while Red Velvet's manager briefing them their schedules and began to introduce their new manager.
This was going to be weird. Y/n hadn’t been around the group since the trainee days, and even then, he had been on the outside looking in. Minjeong… oh god, Minjeong. He really didn't tell her anything about this new role, just hinting that he got a job.
"Deep breath," Y/n muttered to themselves. It was just a job. Just another day.
As he opened the door, the laughter in the room died down almost instantly. Four sets of eyes turned to Y/n, and the tension hung in the air like fog. Karina stood in the centre, arms folded, eyebrows raised slightly as if sizing up an opponent.
"So," she said, voice cool and composed, "you’re our new manager?"
Y/n nodded stiffly, offering a small wave that felt ridiculously out of place. "Uh, yeah. That’s me. Jung Y/n. Lovely to meet you all.”
Winter, who had been doing some light stretches, straightened up when she recognized Y/n. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she let out a small laugh. "Wait, Y/n?!"
Y/n tried to relax, giving Winter a sheepish smile and a peace sign. "Y-yo"
Winter’s easy laughter filled the room, lightening the mood, if only slightly. "Ya, idiot! Is this why you didn't say anything about your new job?."
"Yeah, well, I guess." Y/n shrugged. "How are you doing tho?"
"More happy now that I know that you're working with us!" Winter beamed. "This is really too funny kekekeke"
While Winter was dying in the background at the revelation, Karina’s sharp gaze hadn’t shifted. She looked Y/n up and down, her scepticism almost tangible. "No offense, but… how much experience do you have managing?"
Y/n inwardly winced but kept their face neutral. "Well, this is my first time officially managing, but I’ve trained with the company for years. I know how things work on both sides, so…"
Karina didn’t seem convinced. She didn’t say anything, but the silence spoke volumes. Ningning and Giselle exchanged glances, sensing the subtle tension in the room.
Giselle, always the bigger person, stepped in, trying to ease the awkwardness. "It’ll be fine, unnie. Y/n’s got this. I mean, he survived SM’s training system, right?"
Karina shrugged, finally breaking eye contact. "We’ll see."
-
Y/n’s phone buzzed for what felt like the thousandth time, and He resisted the urge to hurl it into the nearest trash can. "This cursed fing- I mean, object"
This is fine.
Everything is fine. Sure, his first official day as aespa’s manager had turned into a whirlwind of chaos, but Y/n had told himself he’d survive the day. It was all about staying calm.
Except, calm was nowhere to be found, and the more he tried to navigate their new responsibilities, the more everything spiralled out of control.
The morning had started deceptively smooth. He arrived at SM early, clipboard in hand, ready to tackle the day. A smile even broke out when he saw the group filing into the van, chirpy with coffee and morning energy. But, as soon as Y/n opened the daily schedule on their phone, his stomach sank.
Wrong rehearsal room.
The worst way to f*ck it up as well. Misread the number 7 for 1.
"Uh... okay, small problem," Y/n muttered to themselves before looking at the girls. "So, it turns out I booked the wrong practice room this morning."
Giselle, who was squished between Ningning and Winter in the van, looked up from her phone, raising an eyebrow. "Wait, you’re telling me we’re going to a room that doesn’t exist?"
Y/n winced. "No, it exists. It's just... not available.”
Ningning leaned forward with a smirk. "So what, we practice in the parking lot? That could be fun. Maybe film a TikTok."
"That's actually a fire idea" Y/n thought.
"Please don't give her ideas," Karina groaned from the front seat. She glanced at Y/n through the rearview mirror. "So... what’s the backup plan, manager-nim?"
Y/n felt the weight of the title more than ever in that moment. Being called "manager" was still weird, like wearing a jacket that didn’t quite fit. "Uh, we’ll use one of the smaller rooms for now, just for today. I’ll sort it out. Sorry about that, team."
"Just for today?" Giselle echoed with a teasing grin. "Good to know we’ve got a professional in charge."
Y/n sighed. This was going to be a long day.
By the time they arrived at the practice room, the energy had shifted. The smaller rehearsal space had a cozy feel, but "cozy" was just a nice way of saying cramped. The mirrors barely covered one wall, and the air-conditioning was struggling to keep up with the summer heat.
The girls, to their credit, didn’t complain much—well, except for Giselle, who Y/n could always count on for a sarcastic comment or two…and Karina who didn't need any words but Y/n knew he would be skinned alive after bed.
"Well, I guess we’re all gonna sweat out our souls in here," Giselle said as she dropped her bag onto the floor and stretched her arms above her head. "Thanks, Y/n. Really starting the day off right."
Winter shot Y/n a glance, her mouth twitching into a faint smile. "It’s fine, don’t worry. We’ve practiced in worse places."
Y/n appreciated the attempt at reassurance, but the guilt still gnawed at them. He was supposed to make things easier for aespa, not complicate their day with rookie mistakes. Even worse with him thinking his trainee days would help.
So much for better understanding of the girls.
As the group started their warm-ups, Y/n made a mental note to double-check all bookings going forward. He couldn’t afford to mess up again—not with Karina giving them those mildly skeptical looks every few minutes. It was like she was silently judging every move Y/n made.
"Great. Just what I need—her thinking I’m completely useless." Y/n sighed.
Things hit a new low when Y/n tried to connect their phone to the rehearsal room's speakers, but the Wi-Fi password wasn’t working. Panic started creeping up their spine as they stared at the screen.
Y/n wanted to hit his head into a wall right this instant.”
"Hey, Y/n, we’re ready for the playlist," Karina called out from across the room. "Are you good?"
"Yeah, uh... Just a sec." Y/n tapped the password again, slower this time, but it still didn’t connect. "What the—"
Giselle leaned against the wall, arms crossed, clearly enjoying the show. "Let me guess—you forgot the password? Or did you set it to ‘password123’ like a true professional?"
Y/n shot her a look, trying to hide the growing anxiety. "It’s the building Wi-Fi. I swear it’s not my fault."
"Sure, sure." Giselle’s grin widened. "No problem. We’ll just dance in silence. You know, like marionettes."
Winter chuckled softly, while Ningning chimed in. "Oooh, I love silent discos! We could start a trend."
While Y/n cracked a smile at Ningning's genius revelation once again, Karina sighed, crossing her arms. "Just use the Bluetooth on the portable speaker for now. We don’t have time to waste."
"Un-unnie" Winter whimpered, sensing that her leader began to get frustrated. "We don't need to rush, Y/n's just getting used to it."
"Jeong, it's ok." Y/n reassured. "Karina, good idea. I got the speaker just in case."
Y/n scrambled to connect his phone via Bluetooth, heart racing as the group exchanged amused glances. As much as he tried to take the ribbing in stride, Y/n couldn’t help but feel like every little mistake was another nail in their managerial coffin.
First the wrong room, now this…
Finally, the music blasted from the portable speaker, and Y/n sighed in relief. The girls began running through their choreography, their focus quickly shifting back to the dance routine. As the familiar beats filled the small room, Y/n retreated to the side, trying to steady their nerves with a big gulped.
By midday, Y/n was juggling three things at once: updating the afternoon’s schedule, figuring out lunch arrangements, and fielding a call from the media team about an upcoming interview. He was so deep in thought, he didn’t even notice Ningning creeping up behind them.
"Boo."
Y/n flinched, nearly dropping their phone. "Motherf- Yizhuo!"
She laughed, hands on her hips. "Relax, Y/n-oppa. You’re doing fine. We’re all still alive, and no one’s collapsed yet. I’d say that’s a win."
Y/n exhaled, rubbing their temples. "Yeah, barely."
"Hey, don’t be so hard on yourself. This job isn’t easy. Plus, we’ve all made mistakes. I mean, did you know I once went to a music show wearing mismatched shoes? Like, two completely different shoes."
Y/n blinked. "Huh, seriously?"
"Yep," Ningning grinned. "And no one noticed until halfway through the performance."
"Is there a fancam of it at least?"
"Oh, there are plenty of that for you."
Y/n couldn’t help but laugh, the tension easing just a little. "Okay, maybe that makes me feel slightly better."
"Good." She clapped Y/n on the back. "You’ll get the hang of it, oppa. Just remember—you’re not the only one winging it half the time. We are too."
Before Y/n could respond, Karina’s voice interrupted them from across the room. "Y/n! Can we confirm the interview time for this afternoon?"
Y/n checked the schedule on their phone, tapping quickly before calling back, "Yeah, it’s at 2:00. I’ll make sure we’re on time."
Karina nodded, her expression unreadable as she went back to the group, but Y/n caught the faintest flicker of something that might’ve been approval.
"Okay, maybe I haven’t totally screwed up yet." Y/n did a small dance in celebration.
As the morning stretched into afternoon, Y/n found himself slowly settling into the role. Sure, it was still overwhelming, and they felt like they were constantly playing catch-up, but Giselle’s light-hearted teasing and Winter’s quiet-not-so-quiet encouragement kept them going. Even Ningning, who couldn’t resist poking fun at Y/n’s blunders, made the chaos a little more bearable.
By the time the group wrapped up their rehearsals and headed to their interview, Y/n felt a small surge of relief. They had made it through the first half of the day without any major disasters. Maybe this whole manager thing wasn’t going to be so bad after all.
As they entered the interview room, Y/n stood near the back, watching as the girls took their places on the set. Cameras clicked, lights flashed, and the media team buzzed around them. Y/n checked their phone one more time, going over the rest of the day’s schedule. Double checking always works.
Karina, standing just off camera, glanced over at Y/n with a small, almost imperceptible nod. It wasn’t much, but it felt like a step in the right direction.
-
The clock on the wall ticked past midnight, and the hallway lights cast a soft glow over the exhausted aespa members as they stumbled into the dormitory. Their faces were flushed from the intensity of the day’s rehearsals, but there was a shared sense of relief in finally being off their feet. The practice room doors creaked open, revealing the calm haven of their living quarters.
Karina immediately went into her room to get changed.
Giselle frantically searched for a protein bar in their pantry.
Ningning plopped on the couch and groaned about the schedule.
And Winter noticed Y/n immediately headed to the kitchen. Already had a smile, she knew tonight will be a feast.
During his trainee days, the kitchen had become a sort of sanctuary for Y/n, a place where the clamour of the day’s chaos could be momentarily forgotten. Tonight, the giant pans of cheesy instant ramen unveiling the moment the lid opened was a beacon of comfort. The rich aroma of sauce and steaming noodles wafted through the air, promising a moment of respite.
Of course, it got the members' attention, and their tired eyes lit up at the sight of the pans of ramen. It was a welcoming sight, and their stomachs growled in unison.
Y/n’s presence in the kitchen, with his sleeves rolled up and a focused look on their face, was a stark contrast to the frenetic energy they had witnessed throughout the day.
“Y/n, you rock,” Giselle said, her voice filled with gratitude as she took a seat at the kitchen table. “I didn’t think I’d make it through the day without something like this.”
Ningning, always enthusiastic about food, followed suit and perched herself on a nearby stool. “Seriously, we owe you one. Our kitchen doesn’t usually get this kind of late-night love.”
Winter, the resident annoyance to her childhood friend, leaned against the counter and eyed Y/n with a playful smirk. “So, did you have this bougee ramen this much when you were a trainee too when I wasn't around? Or did you just eat instant noodles and subconsciously dream about becoming our manager?”
Y/n chuckled, stirring the noodles with practiced ease. “Oh, shush you. Buldak was basically my best friend during those days. It was either ramen or cereal for dinner.”
Karina, intrigued, raised an eyebrow. “Cereal for dinner? That’s a new one. What was your go-to flavor?”
“Plain old,” Y/n admitted with a grin. “It was the closest thing I could get to comfort food. Plus, it’s surprisingly filling when you’re too tired to care about anything else.”
Winter burst into laughter, nudging Y/n playfully. “I can just picture you in your trainee days, sitting in a tiny room, eating cereal straight from the box, dreaming about making it big. Did you ever think you’d end up here with us?”
"Hell no." Y/n’s expression softened, a nostalgic glint in their eyes. “Honestly, I had my doubts. It was a tough time, but moments like these make it all worth it. I’m just glad to be here with all of you.”
As the ramen finished cooking, Y/n ladled the pan into plates and handed them out. The group gathered around the table, their laughter and chatter filling the room. It wasn’t just about the food; it was about the camaraderie, the shared experiences, and the understanding that they were all in this together.
Giselle took a generous slurped and sighed contentedly. “This is exactly what we needed. I didn’t realize how much I missed simple yet fancy comforts like this.”
Ningning, already twirling noodles around her chopsticks, nodded in agreement. “Yeah, the practice room is great and all, but there’s something about a late-night cheesy ramen session that just makes everything feel right.”
Y/n took a quick slurp as well, and he banged the table in excitement. "That's how you live the life, man!"
Winter’s eyes sparkled with mischief. “Anyway Y/n, give us some bed time story and let us hear your side of our trainee stories.”
"You don't tell them? Unless the early days wasn't unveil yet."
"Yep, and they can hear it directly from you."
Y/n laughed softly, shaking their head. “Oh, where to begin? Let’s just say my trainee days were filled with a lot of ramen, cereal, and endless hours of practice with this doof" He pointed at Winter. "There were days when I’d practice with Minjeong for so long that I’d fall asleep in the studio…. While my childhood friend here just left me and went home.”
While Ningning laughed at the last remark, Karina’s eyes widened in surprise, but regained her distance. “You’d fall asleep in the studio? That sounds rough.”
Y/n nodded, smiling at the memory. “Yeah, I’d be so exhausted that I’d just crash wherever I could. Sometimes, I’d wake up to find the other trainees laughing at me because I’d fallen asleep on the floor in some awkward position.”
Y/n sighed, thinking about those days "Also, I cooked for Jeong here like all the time. We’d spend hours in the practice room, and when the sessions were over, we’d retreat to the dorm’s kitchen. I was always the one cooking because this girl saw the recipe online and wanted me to make it.”
Winter chuckled, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Ya, you're my eternal lab rat, Y/n. Remember that time you tried to cook a proper meal for us, and I ended up almost burning the place down?”
Y/n laughed, shaking their head. “Jeezus, don't even get me started. You were determined to help, but your idea of ‘helping’ involved a lot of questionable seasoning. It was a proper experiment gone wrong. I vomited all of that after I lost the rock-paper-scissors, and Minjeong laughed like a maniac."
Karina leaned in, clearly intrigued. It was the first time Karina took interested in the new manager today. “Wait, so Y/n was cooking for Winter all the time? What did you cook for her?"
Giselle nodded, her curiosity piqued. “Damn, girl, you got a private chef all this time?" She poked Minjeong's cheek, who was totally flustered at her statement.
Y/n smiled, lost in the memories. “Jeong and I had this routine. After a long day of training, we’d both be starving and exhausted. I’d take over the kitchen because I never trust her for….well, ever. She’d stand by, throwing whatever she found online while I tried to save whatever we had.”
Winter laughed, nodding in agreement. “Y/n was actually really good at cooking. He’d whip up something edible and often surprisingly delicious. I mostly just munch and tried not to set off the smoke alarm.”
Giselle’s eyes twinkled with amusement. “That sounds like something I’d do. Ya, remember when Ningning tried to make ramen on her own and ended up setting off the fire alarm?”
Ningning’s cheeks turned a shade of red, but she laughed along with the rest. “Hey, in my defence, I was trying to add some ‘extra’ ingredients. Let’s just say I got a little carried away with the chili flakes.”
Winter’s eyes widened in mock horror, slapping Y/n's back aggressively as she remembered something. “Oh, and Jimin-unnie's cooking experiment that ended up with the entire dorm smelling like burnt popcorn for days.”
Karina rolled her eyes but couldn’t suppress a smile. “I was trying to make popcorn, okay? It was my first attempt at cooking.”
The group burst into laughter, their earlier exhaustion momentarily forgotten. Y/n joined in, their laughter blending with the sounds of the group’s mirth. The kitchen, usually a place for quick meals and late-night snacks, had become a space for shared stories and genuine connection.
As the conversation flowed, the stories grew more personal. Karina recounted her struggles with maintaining a rigorous training schedule while trying to stay connected with her family. Ningning shared her experiences of adapting to life in Korea and the culture shock she had felt when she first arrived. Giselle talked about the pressure of being one of the older trainees and the challenges of balancing expectations with her own ambitions.
Y/n listened intently, their heart swelling with appreciation for the group’s openness. The whole day was genuinely suffocating for Y/n and he glad his cooking opened up to them. It was a moment of vulnerability and camaraderie, a chance for everyone to connect on a deeper level.
Winter leaned back in her chair, her expression thoughtful. “You know, it’s crazy to think about how far we’ve all come. Sometimes, it feels like just yesterday we were all trainees, struggling to make it through each day.”
Ningning nodded, her eyes reflecting a mix of nostalgia and determination. “Yeah, but look at us now. We’ve made it through the tough times and come out stronger.”
"Well, you four did for a while." Y/n pointed. "I just started."
"Aish, you know what I'm saying" Ningning brushed it off.
As the last of the ramen was devoured and the plates were set aside, the group settled into a comfortable silence. The kitchen, once filled with the noise of preparation and conversation, now hummed with a quiet sense of contentment. It was a moment of peace, a pause in the whirlwind of their busy lives—a small, perfect slice of normalcy in their extraordinary world.
Winter, sensing the serene atmosphere, broke the silence with a softer tone. “Thanks for doing this, Manager. It really means a lot to us.”
Y/n stared. "Ya, you're just gonna tease me and call me manager after that heartfelt dinner?"
"I'm being serious, this guy.." Winter glared. "We know that the sudden career change is rough for you. But all things considered….you aced it."
Y/n smiled at the thumbs up from everyone, even including the hard-to-approach Karina.
As the night wore on, the group slowly began to disperse to their shared room, their energy restored by the comforting presence of good food and good company. Y/n watched them go, their heart full with a sense of fulfillment. This was what it was all about—connecting, sharing, and growing together.
With the kitchen finally quiet, Y/n began to clean up, their movements slow and deliberate. The pot was washed, the plates stacked neatly, and the remnants of the meal cleared away. The kitchen, now returned to its usual state of order, seemed to hold the echoes of laughter and conversation, a testament to the bond that had been strengthened over a simple late-night snack.
As Y/n finished tidying up, he glanced at the clock and realized it was nearly 2 a.m. The day had been long, but it had ended on a high note. With a contented sigh, Y/n turned off the lights and began to head out to go home.
However, as he was heading towards the front door, a hand tugged his sleep. It was Winter.
"Hey, are you ok?" Her voice was full of concern. While she didn't say much, she knew today was tough for Y/n, especially under the eyes of her leader.
"Yea, I'm ok. What's wrong?"
"I know that Jimin-unnie has been…rough on you…but please don't hate her too much" She held on Y/n's hand, clearly whimpering and shaking from her hand. "She was just looking out for us. Things were especially tough these days even with our old manager."
"Aish, cmon I'm not that petty." Y/n wiped her tears. "Normal person would've been angry with me already considering how many times I fcked up. So Karina was already being the nicest possible she can be."
"B-but I don't want you to feel down and leave again…"
Y/n swore his heart skipped a beat after that confession. "Aish, I'll never leave you like before, Minjeong. Trust me on this."
"Really?" Winter hiccuped.
"Yes, crybaby." That made Y/n earned a kick to the shin from Winter, who cackled afterwards hearing her nickname.

Return to Gravity Falls
@angelqueen27 & @eisheth
Contains: Implied Platonic yandere
"Wake, Starlight," a familiar voice tells me.
Opening my eyes, I'm met with the all too familiar set of bright blue eyes. My older brother, Mason, who has the stage name Dipper. I sit up in bed, yawning and rubbing my eyes of all sleepiness. Smelling pancakes, I figured my older sister, Mabel, was making her special strawberry chocolate chip pancakes. Those two were part of a magic act called, the Mystery Twins. We'd been traveling across the country for weeks and I was always excited to explore where we ended up this time.
"Morning big bro," I tell him.
I know he has a new bolo tie, but he has a million so I wouldn't now what every single one he owns looks like. He gives me a head pat and tells me to get dressed as he leaves the room and closes the door.
I throw on a blue shirt and black shorts, paired with my sneakers. I spend extra time brushing my hair, knowing Mabel would do it herself if she didn't think it was good enough. After brushing my teeth, I join my siblings at the table. Mabel, who's normally blank blue headband had a teal gem decoration on it, handed me a plate with a smily face pancake and apple slices.
"Morning little Starlight," she calls me.
I smile despite my annoyance. I have a name, Reader, but my siblings have never used it. It was always, Starlight this and Starlight that for as long as I can remember. I wanted to let go of the dumb nicknames, but last time I tried I started feeling guilty. Dipper and Mabel would say that they only wanted to have a bond with me, so I let them keep calling me that name. When their magic act took off, the dragged me along with them.
I look down at the smiling pancake, I loved that stupid whipped cream smile when I like 6, but Mabel keeps putting it on my pancakes. I don't really mind, it's whipped cream after all. I finish the pancake, and go to leave the table, but without even looking up from his plate, Dipper says.
"Eat all your apple slices, you need to be healthy,"
That pancake was huge, and I was feeling full. Trying to argue that point was useless as Dipper said that I could only be full if I finished those stupid apple slices. It bothers me that they can't see that I'm not a little kid anymore, plus I'm only three years younger than them. Giving in, I eat the apple slices and let Mabel take my plate and silverware. Looking out the window, I recognize some familiar scenery.
"We're back home?" I ask my siblings. They nod and smile.
We were away from home for so long, my heart might burst from the excitement of returning. Before I can leave the table to explore my hometown, Mabel stops me.
"We have something for you, Starlight," Mabel says as Dipper walks over.
With a dramatic flurrish, Dipper pulls out a white box with a blue ribbon bow on it. Opening it reveals a sliver bracelet, a dark teal stone embedded in the center surrounded by my star sign.
"Where and when did you get this?" I ask.
They both chuckle and Mabel tells me it was bought after one of their New England shows. I take their word, and put it on. It fits perfectly and looks beautiful. I hug them both before we heard our Great Uncle/ Manager Stan say Dipper and Mabel have to do a rehearsal for a show happening in about two weeks time. I get two kisses on the cheek as the pair leave. Once that car is outta view, I run out the house's front door.
Nostalgia hits like a freight train as I wander the streets of the town I knew and loved. Greasy's dinner was where it always stood, with Speedy Susan being a one woman crew. Gravity Falls may look like a hick town in middle of nowhere Oregon, which is true, but I see it as a wonderful place full of woods to explore. As I walk around, I feel something solid run into me as I fall backwards.
"I'm so, so, so, so sorry!" A high pitched voice says.
Looking as I stand, I see a girl with a color hippie like outfit, and a white haired boy in a sweatshirt, it's summer. The girl keeps apologizing and I let her know I'm ok. She sticks out her hand.
"Nice to meet you, My name is Pacifica Southeast, but please call me Pacifica," she tells me.
I tell her my name. She smiles and pushes the nervous sweatshirt boy closer. He looks like he really doesn't want to talk to anyone, not because he's better, but it's mor elike, he'll go the way of the narwhal if he even things of talking to strangers. He slowly sticks out his hand for a handshake. I return the handshake and tell him my name.
"M-My name is Gideon Pines," he tells me.
I nod and apologize for being in their way. Pacifica says her and he brother had plans to explore the nearby woods, then asked what I was doing. I explain my exporting and Pacifica says we should do it together. Normally, Dipper and Mabel would pull me away, Dipper making me wash my hand because he thinks that I'll get "poor people germs" and Mabel would say I need to spend more time with family. But, they aren't here.
"Sure, sounds fun" I tell my new best friends.
The three of us enjoy our wilderness expedition, spotting animals and plants of varying kinds. It was nice to have friends, Dipper and Mabel just scare them off, saying I only need my big brother and sister. I catch my reflection in a small creek, I have dirt stains on my hands, face, and shirt with messy hair. It's been so long since I've looked like this, ever since Dipper and Mabel had become the Mystery Twins, they would always keep me under their ever present eyes.
The laughter dies down as the sun starts to sink below the trees, casting the town and forest in a comfortable orange glow. Pacifica hands me a folded piece of paper, urging me to open it. When I do, I'm greeted with an address, but it's not one I know.
"It's for a place called the Mystery Shack, it's where me and Gideon live so you can hang out whenever you want!" She cheerfully tells me.
Stuffing the paper back in my pocket, I have memories of Dipper and Mabel insulting the Mystery Shack and telling I have no reason to go to "that dirty tourist trap". Now, I have friends and a reason to visit, I start making my way to home, trying to hide the evidence of my wilderness fun. Opening the door, I'm greeted with the stern looks of Dipper and Mabel.
"Do you have any idea how worried we were?" Mabel asks in a somewhat emotional manner.
I try my best to answer, but it doesn't help. Dipper scolds me as Mabel is setting up a make shift spy in our living room, going on and on about how I was "darted by hooligans". Dipper does nothing to calm her, only fueling the fire. Dipper calmly tells me that I shouldn't be around strangers as they could hurt me. Honestly, I think the most dangerous thing in this town are the woodpeckers. Dipper takes the paper as Mabel scolds me.
Well, despite being grounded, I'm still happy that we're back in Gravity Falls. Nostalgia softened the blow of grounding. Looks like I'll have to rob Dipper's room for that address. I wonder what it would be like to have real friends, not overprotective siblings.

Tumblr media
a/n: headcanons with Tuk are ONLY PLATONIC, otherwise you and the character are dating, also every character has two headcanons in here and when i say every character i mean every but i don't like lyle so he's not there; i also don't like quaritch but MANY avatar fans like him so... that's why he's here, anyway enjoy!
༺☆༻
ronal will introduce you to her spirit sister, ro'a. her spirit sister means so much to her, just like you, so she wants both of her favourite girls to like each other.
spider wants to learn everything about everything! he only lived with the sully's (omaticaya people/forest na'vi) so that's the only na'vi he knows. you are so different and so beautiful, he can't get enough.
neteyam often catches himself staring at you from behind. he watches after you so if anything happens; he can protect you. he also admires you.
tuk sees you as her new big sister and she always wants to pet baby ilu's with you or feed the big ones with sea leaves.
quaritch will probably 'kidnap' you from your village to have you close to him, because nobody can know about your relationship, for now.
tsu'tey will often provoke you; like flick your ear or pinch your hip just to see how your ears went back and you cringe your nose, it always makes him laugh. you also hit his arm right after that.
every morning, tonowari looks at your bottom cloith and then add something to his own, to match yours. like a feather or a shell that's the same color.
trudy wants you to tattoo her, because when she saw the traditional oceanic na'vi tattoo (because metkayina is just a clan, yk) she fell in love with them!
kiri will dive with you for HOURS, while exploring the sea together. different animals and plants, rocks and crystals, all of this while spending time with you, she loves it!
tsireya loves to hold your hand and she will, all the time! it bring her comfort, she also often swings them while walking or stroke your thumb.
neytiri will make you a lot of tops, bracelets, necklaces,... but she will use gifts from the sea. she'll also make you matching ones, which is always magical.
every time you take a nap, ao'nung will become your bed, and he LOVES it. like one time he layed on a rock with you on top of him while the sea waves were still touching your legs.
grace will love to learn your ways and like 'study' you. it brings her curiosity back (because she probably knows everything about forest na'vi) which somehow makes her feel young and loved.
jake always admires how elegant are you in the water. you look so magnificent, so divine. he could watch you all day without getting tired of it.
when you said that payakan may not be a killer, lo'ak fell in love immediately. it meant a lot to him, he also trusts you with his life now.
trudy will love swimming with you. i feel like she did many sports as a child so it brings her nostalgia, she can also spends time with her love.
spider will protect you at all cost, and slowly he'll become loyal only to you, not to quaritch, not to rda, not to the sully's, not even to kiri, just to you.
ronal will often massage you. it's her way of saying 'you did really good today, i love you'.
tsu'tey can dance and he will dance with you pretty often because he loves it! he can hold you close while looking at your beautiful face, but he surprisingly also likes the dancing.
quaritch will get your name tattooed near his heart on his chest, as a sign of loyalty and love that he holds for you.
racing on skimwings is one of tonowari's favourite activity to do with you. he always laughs when you fell off or when you laugh that he fell off. your laugh warms his heart so he's falling off pretty often.
neteyam will often bring you different sea flowers or land crystals that catches his eyes while training, hunting or just walking that remains him of you.
tsireya loves when you braid her hair, you massage her scalp while kissing her forehead and you always manage to find the perfect hairstyle for her.
neytiri will try to learn how to ride an ilu because of you, but most of the time she's on her ikran right above you, protecting you from the sky. but if you try to learn how to ride an ikran, she'd be pleased!
you are basically an idol to tuk. she really admires you, she finds you funny, gorgeous and strong. it's cute, really.
ao'nung will often hunt with you because he's one of the best metkayina hunters so he can show off his skills. he wants to impress you and let you know that you are safe with him.
kiri has some spiritual connection with you, just like she has with eywa so she feels safe with you. you are her true home.
lo'ak secretly practiced diving and holding his breath every night, just so he can impress you the next day and spend more time playing and talking than learning.
jake will tease you, how he already managed to ride a skimwing in a such a short time and then race you, his mouth is wide open every time you win; which is almost every time.
grace has three photos of you she once took and she has them placed; first near her bed, second in her notebook and third in her lab, so she can always look at your face when she misses you.

FIRST SNOW
info ⭑ itoshi rin x reader ノ 0.9k wc ノ sfw ノ fluff
note ⭑ there's a superstition in korea that experiencing the first snow with someone you like means you'll have a long and loving relationship with them! so i especially loved being able to write this for rinnie ❤︎‬
requested by @moonartemisia for my winter wonderland event (closed)!
Tumblr media
it’s the second saturday of the month; one of the two days of the month that you and rin have designated to be your scheduled date nights. the itinerary often changes from date to date but the both of you agreed to enjoy a dinner out this time around.
rin’s hooking the strap of his mask over his ear when the two of you exit the restaurant you’d just eaten at. it’s his attempt to keep his face concealed—so that your time with him is yours alone, uninterrupted by eager fans excited to have sighted the famous footballer. he offers you his hand when the mask is situated over the lower half of his face and you happily accept it, intertwining your fingers with his.
“is there anything else you want to do tonight?” rin asks.
you aren’t quite ready to go home yet but you don’t want rin to worry about hiding his face all night either. you hum as you think of the places you could visit that aren’t as busy as the heart of the city. an idea pops into your head and you turn to look up at rin. “wanna go walk by the water?”
“sure, if you want to.”
there’s a river that the two of you used to visit often when you were younger and rin drives you there. it’s been a while since either you have been so when you get out of the car, a wave of nostalgia washes over you.
it’s almost as though you can see your teenage selves walking along the water—your teary gaze when he told you he’d be leaving to train at blue lock and the way you bounced on the balls of your feet when he returned after what felt like an eternity away. you can practically hear all of your shared laughs drifting about the chilly winter air.
the sound of rin’s car door closing breaks you from your reverie, bringing you back to the present. the two of you meet in front of the vehicle and you hook your arm through rin’s, using your free hand to tug the mask down from his face to rest on his chin.
he levels you with a confused look at your action but you gesture to your surroundings, namely the lack of pedestrians wandering the trail at this hour.
rin cracks a small smile upon catching on to the reasoning behind your suggestion for coming here specifically. though, he starts leading you down the path before he speaks up. “that’s why you wanted to come here?”
“perhaps,” you drawl, resting your head against his arm. the sleeve of his coat is warm against your ear. “but maybe i just wanted to take a walk down memory lane. it’s feels like forever since we’ve been here.”
rin has never really been the sentimental type but when it comes to all the moments he’s spent with you, he can admit that he finds some joy in looking back at those memories. you represent a time in his life highlighted by comfort instead of competition, happiness instead of hopelessness.
he’s sure you know that by now, so he keeps his lips sealed and spares you the uncharacteristic show of sappiness.
his silence doesn’t bother you but the longer the two of you walk beside the water, the colder you get. you can feel goosebumps raising on your arms even under the warmth of your coat. it seems like you underestimated how cold it would get just off of the water.
you’re ready to suggest turning around and heading home for the night when something wet hits your cheek. the sensation worries you that it's about to rain and the two of you will be caught in it without an umbrella. though, when you turn to express your concern with rin, you see white specks sticking to his dark hair before disappearing.
it isn’t rain, it’s snow.
“oh!” you exclaim, holding your hand out to catch the fluffy flakes in your palm, “it’s snowing!”
a snowflake lands on rin’s eyelash with your words, causing him to flinch away from the cold. you giggle at his cute reaction, stopping in your tracks to reach up and wipe away the precipitation from his eye with your thumb.
his skin is cool beneath your touch but the contact warms you both and the warmth tempts you to stay where you are in front of rin. he doesn’t protest, choosing to place his hands on your hips. he leans down, touching his forehead to yours. dark strands of his hair tickle your face, drawing another laugh from your chest, a puff of white air appearing between the two of you.
the sight drags rin’s teal gaze to your lips and it takes only a short moment for him to dip his head down to capture them in a kiss. it catches you by surprise but you quickly reciprocate, thumb caressing his cheek as your lips slowly dance with his in the kiss. in the cold of this winter night, you’re beginning to be swallowed by warmth.
the frosty air is invasive when rin pulls away and you pout at his decision to do so.
he jerks his head in the direction where he’d parked earlier. “come on, it’s cold.”
you can’t argue there, so you sigh and nod in understanding. spending a short, pleasant moment during the first snow of the season with him is enough. and you suppose you can badger him for more kisses once you get home.

We neeeeeeed more James x Slytherin reader 😍
Tumblr media
oh my it's been a while but let's just think about this for a second shall we:
James has been arguing with Slytherins his entire Hogwarts career
But at some point during final year he starts finding it difficult to keep going
He doesn't fully understand why, until one day when you're ranting in his face about how yesterday's quidditch results were a fix
It's the first real argument you've had in a while, and it's only because your accusations that Gryffindor would even need to cheat are frankly insane
And he's halfway through his rebuttal, glaring down at your face, when it occurs to him. And it's stupid but, Slytherin are out of the championship, which means -
You've played your final quidditch match together.
Ever
He doesn't even know where you're going after school ends
And you must see it in his face because you change too
Your shoulders drop and your eyes go a little bit wide
"Oh. I'm not sure I like that look."
James has to run a hand through his hair and huff out a laugh because he doesn't know what to do
7 years of petty arguments feel like they've just melted away with one stupid realisation
They're never going to play quidditch together again
Because they're about to fight a war
James blinks and studies your face again
It feels important now, to commit you to memory
His chest crushes in a bit when he starts to think about how things could have been, and how badly it could end up, all at once
He's wasted so much time
"Merlin, you're pretty"
It just comes out, before he stop it
And it's so mournful and melodramatic it sounds ridiculous
You take one look at him and laugh, and suddenly James can breathe again
"Sorry." He manages to choke out "Don't know where that came from"
You're cackling and it's gorgeous
"Impending doom really changes people, huh"
You're joking but it's true
And from that day on he can't seem to argue with you even a little bit
It's not for lack of trying, you bait him constantly
But somewhere along the way he manages to ask you questions and get a few answers that aren't sarcastic
And at some point he doesn't stop himself when he stands just a little closer to you than normal
One day he's walking with you to charms and he just absentmindedly takes the books from your hands and carries them for you
Sometimes you catch him looking at you and frowning, then running a hand through his hair in that cute way he does when he's stressed
That's when it occurs to you that you've been wanting to run your hands through his hair for... merlin knows how long now
And suddenly that same melancholy you laughed at when it was written all over his face the other day hits you like a train
Because you've just realised you had 7 years and you didn't use even one
You must have been staring because James' eyes flick back to yours and he holds your gaze steady for a few long seconds
Then he laughs, the bastard, and gives you an exaggerated shrug
Now he's mouthing 'impending doom' across the classroom and it finally shakes you out of it
Right, yeah. Everyone keeps doing it lately - thinking too much about the war and getting this glazed look and aching nostalgia
Your face must have been a picture
But he saddles up close to you at the end of class and dips his head down
His nose nuzzles into your neck as he murmurs
"Tell me what you were thinking about, just then"
You huff and roll your eyes to cover the shiver that wants to run down your spine
"A bad idea"
"Hmm." His hand circles your wrist and you have the horrible sense he's seeing right through you
"Sure. Tell me when you change your mind."
Then he's gone, and you're left talking yourself out of chasing after him
The parties start a few days after your little realisation
If there was one thing this impending war made everyone want to do, apparently it was drink
it didn't even matter where or with who
Which was how you found yourself tipsy and a little giggly, getting escorted back to your bed by James Potter
You've been tormented by that cream jumper he's wearing
It makes his shoulders look so broad but it also looks so soft
And now he's leaning against a wall and rolling it up his forearms while he checks round the corner for any patrolling teachers
And you can barely help it
"James?"
"Yes?"
"I think I'm changing my mind"
He has you in an empty classroom in ten seconds flat,
but you barely notice because your back is against the wall and his hands are around your thighs, easily lifting you up to wrap them around his waist
"You're sure?" He's murmuring against your lips
and you think you say "'s already too late" before you're kissing and it's so much better and all so much worse at the same time
because he's perfect, the kiss is perfect, the feel of his hair wrapped around your fingers is perfect, and you've done it all too late
and fuck, James is devastatingly good
He's groaning things in your ear that make you blush and then calling you sweet little names that make you melt inside
The second time you get him alone he winds a hand in your hair, pulling just enough to feel good, and makes you look him in the eye while he makes you come
He cooes at you while you do, telling you how beautiful you look, how good you are for him, and you're gone
The next time you can't quite choke back your sob while you say
"We did this too late"
But he grabs your chin and says
"Better make it count, then"
before making you see stars
That time he doesn't leave, just bundles you up in his arms and smuggles you right into his bed
He's just so warm and soft
It's the best night's sleep you've ever had
You wake up and see him looking at you with that sad expression again
You huff and close your eyes
"James?"
"Yeah?"
"We're absolutely fucked, aren't we?"
A laugh
"Yeah."

Doll House
Soft!Tangerine x Pregnant Reader
+18, small angst, unedited
A/N: Ever since I watched Bullet Train I can’t keep this man out of my head. I’ve been trying to get back to writing so I apologize if this isn’t my best work.
Tumblr media
Clear and warm droplets slid down your skin, molding to your body. It glides through your curves like a river that shapes itself around the rocks as it follows its course to the next village.
The warmth of the shower did nothing to appease the lack of him, if anything, it only improved your body’s hunger for his touch, its agonizing abstinence now that he’s away.
Tangerine was the master of your heartbreaks. Similar to a dealer that gives you a free sample of his product to get you hooked, he worked his magic on your body once and it was your end, you knew there was no turning back after tasting him.
And here is where you stand now, in the middle of your path, unable to move on from him but also powerless to walk away. The shower water began to run cold and with an unsatisfied sigh you turned it off before walking back to your bedroom.
The burning orange hues in the sky shone a faint light through the window on top of your white comforter, the ethereal-like glow didn’t bring you the usual happiness, instead, it only brought the nostalgia of the times Tangerine had your body beneath his spell on top of that very same bed.
“Aren’t warm showers supposed to cheer you up?” The unmistakable light tenor’s voice echoed from behind you, making you look over your shoulder to find the reason of your misery sitting on the foot of your bed.
You did your best to keep your timber as nonchalant as possible “Weren’t you supposed to be in Milan?” the question left your lips as your eyes kept glued to his clear blue irises.
“You, more than anyone, should know that I’m full of surprises, love” The taunting smirk you learned to love and hate so much was plastered to his lips, the wicked gleam upon his eyes didn’t hide his true intentions as they roamed through your towel covered body.
Turning your back to him once more, your hands opened the underwear drawer with a sigh “Leave, Tangerine. I don’t want you here”
His eyes squinted and uncertainty laced his heart. You’ve never refused or kicked him out before…something wasn’t right. “What’s wrong with you? I thought you’d be happy to see me” Even though he tried to mask the hint of hurt behind a cold voice, you could still hear it as clear as day.
“Oh, I’m sorry I hit your fragile ego” The scoff that followed your sentence only made Tangerine even more confused, you’ve never acted like this before. You were always ecstatic to see him, excited to spend time together and now it seems like you were facing your worst enemy. Tangerine could feel the worst part of his temper beginning to rise to the surface, begging him to counterattack with enough harshness to make it hurt. But Lemon’s words at the airport resonated in his mind “You don’t attract bees with vinegar, mate. You gotta honey it up. Go easy on her”. Making him stand up from the bed and walking towards you.
Tangerine’s hand covered yours around the simple pair of black cotton panties and slowly turned you around to face him. “Do you really want me to leave?” The crystal clear orbs searched for the answer in your eyes, knowing that unlike your lips, they were unable to lie to him.
Your eyes closed for an instant, momentarily shutting him out before your head came to rest on his chest. The unmistakable scent of his white dress shirt, the usual mixture of fresh laundry detergent and his cologne suddenly made you feel at peace for once.
“You can’t keep doing this, Tan. I’m not gonna make it if you keep this up”
The coldness of his rings brushed against your cheek when his hands cupped your face. Pulling your face towards his, Tangerine’s mustache tickled your upper lip as he spoke “Keep what up, darling?” His warm breath covered your skin like a familiar blanket “You know I love you, poppet. You know no one would ever make me do half of the things I do for you”.
Tangerine’s tongue traced your bottom lip, testing your limits and silently asking for your permission to keep going. Your teeth clasped around Tangerine’s lip, pulling the soft flesh into your mouth.
His arms closed around your waist, gluing your breasts against his chiseled chest. Tangerine broke the kiss before he pressed his forehead against yours “You know I’ve never wanted none of this before you” His hands came down to rest on your baby bump “The marriage, the commitment, the baby…all of this I want because it’s with you, love. All I do is for you and our little bean” A soft smile appeared on Tangerine’s lips at the mention of the life growing inside of you “I love you more than anything and all I ask is for you to be patient with me, darling. I’m not used to any of this and I’m just asking for your help. Help me not fuck up the best thing that’s ever happened to me, help me to be a good man to you, poppet”.
Your hands caressed Tangerine’s soft chestnut hair, twirling one of the loose curls around your finger. “You are a good man to me, Tan. The best man I’ve ever had. I just want you to think a little before you do or say some things because most of the time you end up hurting people who love and care about you”.
“I know, poppet. I know” He kissed your forehead lightly “I’ll be better, I promise”
Tangerine softly placed you down on the bed, covering your body with his own soon after.
“Do you forgive me?” He whispered against your parted lips.
“I always forgive you, Tan”
Tangerine’s fingers intertwined with yours before pinning your hands on top of your head.

Life just gets the better of you sometimes. Drag you through the mud, not knowing when you can resurface from all those frustrating emotions. It’s just heartbreaking.
But, when we’re in our worst, it’s when we meet the people who’ll stay with us. Yet, the worst thing about this is that they’re only temporary.
He was the best person that ever happened to me. He was there when I was in my lowest of the lowest part of my life. He was my sanctuary. He was the the one that got away. He was my red. He was my everything.
Until he wasn’t.
This was the last section you wrote in your journal from years ago. Looking back on it, you realized a lot of the memories, unsaid feelings, and regrets you’ve had in that part of your life.
Closing the journal, you stood up from the chair you’ve been sitting on for the past hour. This is ridiculous, why am I reading this again? You thought.
A ring tone from your phone cut your train of thoughts. Walking towards your phone, you saw a missed phone call from your pink-haired nephew. With a sigh, you hit the call button to ring him this time around. You unknowingly shed a tear as you get lost in the phone ringing.
When your nephew’s voice came through the line, it brought a small, bittersweet smile to your face. “Oh, good thing you called me back, auntie!” Yuji’s voice really brings brightness and cheerfulness everytime he speaks, a stark contrast to your somber mood. Getting no response from you, he continued, “I just wanted to ask you what time you’ll be going today? Oh, and if you’d like me to have a sleep over there at yours this week?”
You released a soft chuckle at this and looked at the clock hanging above your doorway, “Sure, I’d love to have you here with me, Yu! I’ll be there by 3PM.” You walked towards your bedroom to pick out the clothes you’ll be wearing for today’s occasion.
“Okay, gotcha on this, auntie! I’ll give the fam a heads up, so we can catch you there,” Yuji cheerfully said on the other end of the phone, leaving you give off a small smile. “I’ll hang up now, see you there, Yu.”
As you dropped the call, you went back to looking for the outfit you’ve been planning on wearing for the past few days now. You changed into your outfit and got ready before picking up your car keys, leaving your house.
Driving through the familiar streets, nostalgia came crashing like a tsunami. All bittersweet and vivid, everything just happened so fast that until now you can’t process it properly. You’ve never seen the therapist since then as well. What have I been doing? This thought lingered to you heavily.
The afternoon sun cast long shadows as you pulled into the parking lot, taking a lot of moment and breath to ready yourself before stepping out of the car. The weight of the day pressed down on you, yet you still forced yourself to move forward, knowing that this visit was something you needed to do. To accept it.
Threading the path towards Sukuna’s grave, his laughter echoed in your mind. The bittersweet memories of him talking about how you’ll both die of old age. Yet, in this lifetime, he went away early just a year ago.
As you reached his headstone, you knelt down and placed the bouquet of flowers you had bought earlier. The sight of his name etched in the stone was a painful reminder of the reality you are still struggling to accept.
“Hey, love, it’s already been a year,” you whispered as your voice was trembling. Your eyes began to blur as tears formed and dripped down your cheeks. “I miss you a lot.” The wind rustled the leaves, as if the world was offering a gentle response to your words. Knowing that it’s fall, your and his favorite season, you watched the leaves gently fall around you. You knelt there in silence, letting the memories of your husband wash over you. The days you spent together, memories of the love you shared all came rushing back.
Sukuna was always red, the liveliest color you’ve ever known. From his personality, his joy, his laughter, his teases, his jokes, his dreams, his kisses, to his love for you. Everything’s red. The liveliness caught onto you when he first met you at the park, when you were at the lowest of your low. When he offered you an ice cream out of nowhere. It’s a bit strange to accept that from a stranger, sure, but you were not in the moment to deny this comfort food. And he just sat there in silence as you both lick onto your ice creams. It happens everytime he sees you at the park, until you’ve both started talking with each other. He became your sanctuary for years.
Yet, in the blink of an eye, Sukuna became blue. Everything he once was turned to blue. And it all happened just a year ago. His sudden absence left a void that you couldn’t fill. The vibrant red color that he embodied faded to a somber blue, marking the moment he was taken from you by the world. He made your world bright and colorful.
Looking at his headstone, there is an overwhelming sadness mixed with the beautiful memories of your husband. The pain of losing him was still so fresh, but so was the warmth of the moments you shared. The way he would laugh boisterously at your clumsy self and corny jokes, the way he would hold you close as if you’re going somewhere, and the way he would whisper sweet endearments in your ear – these memories were all you had left.
“You know, I still think about why did it have to be you, love. It may sound bad, but why couldn’t it have been the other driver?,” you murmured as your fingers traced the letters of his name etched in the cold stone. This thought lingered in the air, unanswered and haunting. The accident that took him from you was so sudden, so unexpected. But then again, there is no accident that isn’t sudden, right? The questions plagued you for months until now. What if he had taken a different route? What if he had left a few minutes later?
Cutting you from your deep thoughts, you heard someone calling for you. “Auntie! I’m here,” Yuji called out as he came running towards you. You looked at him, and well, tears had to show up again since Yuji resembles your husband a lot, considering that he was his uncle. His pink hair, the shape of his eyes, even the way he smiled – it was as if a piece of Sukuna still lived on through him.
Yuji reached you and gave you a tight hug, his youthful energy and warmth momentarily lifting the heavy weight in your heart. “I brought flowers,” he said, holding up Sukuna’s favorites, chrysanthemums.
“Thanks, Yu,” you whispered as you took the flowers and placed them beside the ones you brought. Yuji knelt beside you, his presence comforting. “I miss him too, you know,” he said softly. “Even with the constant teasing, he always takes me out for my favorite pastimes and telling me all sorts of tips and his cool stories in boxing.”
You nodded, tears blurring your vision again as you remember just watching Sukuna tell Yuji stories everytime your nephew sleeps over your house. Those nights always ended with your husband playfully wrestling Yuji, their laughter filling the air. “Yeah, he was always there for you,” you softly said.
“Your the reason we didn’t decide to have a kid, you know? He used to say how you were just too naughty,” you jokingly added to lighten up the mood. Yuji laughed at this, his eyes twinkling with the memory.
“He really said that?” Yuji asked, a grin spreading across his face.
“Every time you left,” you replied, smiling through your tears. “He’d always talk about how much he enjoyed having you around. You were like the son he never had.”
Yuji’s laughter faded into a thoughtful silence, and he placed a hand on your shoulder. “He meant a lot to me too, Auntie. He was like a second father.”
You both sat there in silence for a while, the wind rustling the leaves around you. The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm, golden glow over the cemetery. The pain of losing Sukuna would never fully disappear, but having Yuji by your side made it a little more bearable.
As the day turned to dusk, the sky painted in the hues of pink and orange, you felt a gentle peace settle over you. Breaking the silence, you finally said, “He always believed in living life to the fullest, he wouldn’t want us to be sad forever.”
Yuji nodded, his cheerful and bright face turned to a somberly one. “Yeah, he’d want us to keep going. We’ll get through this, auntie.”
“Thanks for being here, Yu,” you said softly as you squeezed his hand. “Anytime, auntie,” he replied with a steady, reassuring, and comforting voice.
“I’ll see you again soon,” you whispered, placing a kiss on your fingertips and pressing them against the cold stone. Standing up, you both took one last look at Sukuna’s headstone. The wind blew gently, rusting the leaves once more, as if in agreement. You brushed off the dirt from your clothes and gave Yuji your car keys. Walking back to your car in silence, side by side with Yuji, the weight of the loss seemed a little lighter.
In your heart, you know that Sukuna will always be with you. That he’ll be guiding over you. He will always be there with his ice creams, laughs, kisses, and hugs in your memory.
Despite this loss, you know that in another lifetime, it will always be you and him, growing old together.

fic rec friday 59
hello and welcome to fic rec friday! where, on friday, i rec five of my favourite fics.
Lance Denies The Feels by @bleusarcellewrites
“Hey, knock it dead, Sharpshooter.” Keith winks and Lance’s weak. ‘Thanks, I’ll be right back.’ He tries to say, to excuse himself calm and collected so he would exit the training room and go to a corner on a room with no boys with hot mullets, so he can maybe, just maybe, come to terms with the sudden events like a normal person. “You fight good!” Lance shouts instead. [In which Lance isn't aware that he has a crush and the realization hits him hard enough to screams his bi feelings out. On an empty room. Which turns out not to be emtpty. It works out for him in the ends, thanks to a Mulan reference.]
big big fan of fics where lance is so obviously crushing on keith that its just embarrassing for everyone around him. and keiths fond and quiet indulgence fucking -- well. truly gets me every time. also love the clowning he gets from the team lmao
2. See no Evil, Hear no Evil, Speak no Evil by galaxymilk
Lance becomes the vessel for a high-tech Galra weapon that will detonate at the mere mention of its existence. The clock is ticking, Lance, you better think fast.
i read this when i was the tender tender age of fourteen and let me tell you it FUCKED ME UP!!!!!!!!! imagine carrying a bomb in your body that might kill your friends. but if you tell anyone it detonates. that fear? that terror? it is REEKING off the fucking screen. you will read this fic breathless. your heart will make home in your throat. your muscles will cramp in their tenseness. also it features lance bragging about keith to random strangers in the beginning lol
3. When Did This Happen? by memoriesofrain
What do you mean they're together? I thought they were just really close! OR No one knew Hunk and Lance were together and Lance is homesick.
some hance!! yall know i love me some secret relationship. and i love it so much more when its not actually secret relationship and is instead 'yah weve been openly dating this whole time yall are just too dumb to notice' like that one makes me giggle
4. Space Is Cold by corvus (borrowedphrases)
Lance is a pain in the butt, but Hunk loves him and worries about him anyway.
was in my hance era when i was making these bookmarks apparently. and u know what? i was correct. hance is cute as shit. also, 2016 fics will always hold the most specialest of places in my heart. each one of them ate truly. this one is so cute and intimate.
5. Snapshots and Other Bonding Moments by @shyfoxes
Hunk and Lance are constants in each other's lives, and that will never change. Four moments between Lance & Hunk and One moment spent with Team Voltron.
four plus ones!! my beloved!!! small moments of regular life love!!! my beloved!!! 2016 fics!!! my beloved!!! god some of the tags on this thing...nostalgia. anyways. i loved this fic because i have always loved fics diving into the characters' lives prekerb, u know? i want Backstory. also the lilo and stitch references were cute. if youre not a fan of hance, this is pre relationship so can def be read as platonic!! such a cute fic fr

I don't really have one cohesive campaign setting for my d&d games, as I prefer to purpose-build each landmass for the overall quests/adventures I think will fit together. That said, I do have a few homebrew worlds that I've been toying around with for a while that I'm not sure I'll ever really get to game in/what system I should use for it.... but the vibes are immaculate.
The Atomic Age: Rockabillies and rayguns, a psychedelic 50s retro futurist feverdream where a bunch of meddling kids have to dodge B-movie monsters and shadowy government agencies while trying to figure out why the world keeps ending. Can they finally hit snooze on the doomsday clock? Or will OURGREATNATION be forever trapped in an increasingly surreal loop of self destruction?
The Master's House: Aside from the fact that it's Inspired by Gibli and some of my favourite children's book series, this one might be a little hard to describe. A 1920s inspired panoply of warring factions, crumbling kingdoms and revolutionaries fighting over a world that adheres to the logic of a great manor home. Dig deep enough under the mountains and you'll find the bricks laid by The Good Master's hand, ride the train far enough past the horizon and you'll find the walls of the world. Every place name is a pun, like the wartorn farming province of Pantry and it's burnt out capital of Hearth, the waterside vacation town of Vanity, or cabinet: home to the provisional government trying to seize power over the kingdom of Nave away from its ruling steward.
Badlands Burnout: You and your archaeologist friends pile into a van, tune the radio just right, make sure your supplies and ammunition are topped up, and take off on a roadtrip through the post-post apocalypse. Your mission? Scavenge the ruins of the old world for grandest wonders and smallest joys, all while avoiding the weirdstorms and the horrors that devoured it. It's a journey about balancing nostalgia with discovery, regret with reinvention.

Shoscombe Old Place / Part 1 - Sherlock & Co From the diary of ASoulWithADream...
I'm really enjoying this episode so far! The domesticity coupled with the rising tension, and references to something which both scares and intrigues me. As I see my summaries grow shorter, my commentary grows longer, and I think I find it a welcome change.
Live Soul Reaction (my on-the-spot commentary):
A HOOVER?
Sherlock wouldn't be good at poker.
I love that in almost all pseudo-official works of Sherlock Holmes and his adventures (as documented by Doctor John Watson), he never fucking cleans.
MARIANA. I know this gives us an adventure more centred on John-Sherlock but MARIANAAAA NO-
I think John saying "holly-bobs" has cured me.
Their little tangents bring me so much life. They remind me so much of me and my own best-friend, seamlessly flowing from one topic (where one of us may be more knowledgable) to the other. They've captured the chemistry of friendship so incredible well.
SWINDON TOWN! WOO!
"Right, well, let's just say: she didn't just get a double-D in Maths and French…" JONK.
John "bit of a slut" Watson.
"There's no episode," yeah right, everything's an episode. You are an episode. I am an episode. We are episode…
I love John's town lore. The world-building is insane and both so normal and so outrageous, meeting somewhere in the middle. John doesn't feel like a character in my phone, I can imagine him actually outside Swindon right now.
"You are an idiot," <33333333
You know who Carol Watson reminds me of? Colm McCool from Derry Girls.
Yapping runs in the family, I guess.
Formed to that shape over thousands of year. Like a river. Water. River. Water falling. What.
"And that was a prize, was it?" "Hah, shut up," <3
I see what you did there Jonk. I don't think him recording was a mistake. He wanted a case, and he knew a case would appear, because cases seem to follow Sherlock like mice to a piper. No argument over the game being afoot? Immediately starting the case from the first lead? John, you wanted this to happen. <3
"The entire species? Or a particular suborder?" "THE Beatles."
I thought Gary Lineker was that one guy Sherlock called a hunk.
"Did she have any animosity towards the creature?" Sherlock what.
"She's an eighty-six year old woman in San Tropez, John. I ain't got a scooby, mate." I LOVE YOU JOE!!! I <3 YOU!!!
"You don't realise a place is run down when you live in it, do you?" The nostalgia of that sentence hit me like a bull train. The tragedy of decay can co-exist with the love for a place in it.
Also, what's with the poker/card-game references? Is this relevant, or just an inside joke?
TATTOO REMOVAL??? CLOSE INSPECTION???? ONCE OR TWICE??????
I love that Sherlock is trying to ease John with having Carrie involved with the case, offering to avoid talking to her, being the one to contact instead, he's being so kind and thoughtful and I love seeing Sherlock act like this.
This hobbit aah music has got me joining the gnome vs knight war.
"To see this, trickle through the countryside, knowing what he'll eventually become. Journey, growth, and finally, lost, to much deeper, complex waters. Unrecognisable in the homogeny." That's a the second explicit mention of water, very poetically phrased as both a metaphor for something I can not quite put my finger on, and also… waterfalls. I think I was right to comment on the Final Problem a few days ago. Wrong in my theory, right with time.
"Bliss, cheers." <3
THE FUCK.
ARCHIE.
WITH HER??? HE WAS WHO'S?
CARRIE.
They're getting better at cliffhangers (pun intended). How do I know? I'm getting more and more frustrated.

I got curious to see if there was any red flags of what lead to the shutting down of RT beside the obvious controversy and did I found a rabbit hole.
If you head to the RT reddit Chesla Atkinson made a post about the email she recieved from Jordan Levin the General Manager of RT about the cancelation of RTX2024
https://www.reddit.com/r/roosterteeth/s/Py84R0ELHy
Scroll down to a username by Bobthemine criticize how that RT is taking away big earnings for the company. To which Barbara Dunkelman the Creative Director answer that there are three things.
1) If it making the company lose money
2) people who are fraeting it don't want it anymore
and get this
3) not showing any signs of growth or potential for profitable
https://www.reddit.com/r/roosterteeth/s/tczkHYp2Eo
Barbara the commented to another post about how it confusing to supporters who are suprise at the cost of that RTX in order to make profit for RT as well as the hesitation for vol 10. To which she explains that JUST A MINUTE of animation of RWBY cost $12,500 to $35,000 she confirm they could no longer paid this amount of money thus the cancelation of RTX2024 and finding alternate way to make money.
https://www.reddit.com/r/roosterteeth/s/A8mRiuyzOu
Hence why the partner ship with Crunchyroll as RT couldn't be able to paid the cost anymore and why Vol 9 almost didnt happen. This wasn't the first time she mention this about the financial state of RT
https://www.reddit.com/r/RWBYcritics/s/7sQeGmFDeB
Now I'm not trying to be a crazy conspiracy theorist here BUT considering the fact RT stop airing the show on YouTube and if you wanted to watch the show or any other RT shows you had to go to their website. Then season 2 of Genlock being transfered to HBO MAX before being shutdown completely. And the cherry on top all of the scandals that was happening with the company itself.
Everything was a dam waiting to any moment now.
Sure it was popular and trending on Tumblr and Twitter. But just because it was popular here and other sites isn't enought to keep the company standing.
Now this is just my opinion. I really don't think any company is going to pick RWBY for nostalgia purpose yes but with all the controversy, bad handling of finances, and how Barabra states the show need to be profitable (which it hasn't been even with the partnership of Crunchyroll). RWBY will now forever be tied with RT failings and no company wants to touch that.
I also doubt know if RT was genuinely serious if RWNY found another home but with them being vague I'm pretty sure they actually meant it as "we are actually hoping for someone to but this show and we don't actually have a company in mind" so yeah #greenlit volume 10 is more like #please some help a us out
^ ^
Really interesting things that everybody should read!!
They really took RWBY for granted, that's what I'm getting out of this!
RT has a love-hate relationship with RWBY because they begrudgingly have to fulfill the show, but really they want to promote their other projects and 7 thousand podcasts that nobody cared about. They want the old-fashioned Roosterteeth back (gaming, jabbering, podcasting, bro-ing around), but with their fame dwindling and not catching up to today's mainstream, they basically put RWBY through the wringer just for attention.
They never grew up. They never took responsibility and they failed themselves.
When they're destined to shut this year, now they care about RWBY because they know the show is their money maker. Reality hit them like 5 freight trains and it forced them to get a grip. There's nothing wrong with needing help (begging for any company to pick up RWBY,) but they also need to do their part and fix their problems. No company would want to be back-loaded with their bullshit if they don't get themselves together.
I mean even Crunchyroll couldn't help them forever. I wouldn't be surprised if CR didn't want RWBY after their run with V9. If Amazon picks it up - because Amazon tends to pick up anything - then I may be intrigued. Sometimes Amazon airs hits or misses, just like A24 or Netflix.

So what do you think of the other AUs? Like ask Chai or just casino cups in general!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
sometimes I get so excited about something I start crying
these's are some of those somethings
Text in first panel:
Oh golly gosh let me tell ya ALL about it! I LOVE the ask Chai fanblog and the style! The style is just so expressive yet not at the same time! Not sure how that works but regardless it's so god damn unique! And oh boy, don't even get me STARTED on the characters bro they all work so well together! They just kinda click, ya know?! especially Chai and Mugman! They literally need to kiss already but anyway Chai coming from hell is a real interesting way to bring her into the story usually the insert is looking for a job at the casino so it's a nice change of pace! I really wanna know what happened while she was down there and what happened to her hands AND EVERYTHING ELSE AAAA
Text in second panel:
And Casino Cups in general makes me so damn happy! It was a big part of my childhood! Me and my old best friend bonded over it a LOT when we still hung out! Jesus christ bro the nostalgia hits me like a train every time...Anyway- I love the shenanigans the characters get up to, especially the pranks and truth or dare, the story is well put together so far too, not my cup of tea but I still wanna see what happens with Mugs' research and the Devils party, but it's time to talk about the one and only Cuphead! Gosh he's really somethin', isn't he? He's so fun and chaotic and just my type of guy! He does go overboard sometimes though...As a whole I just love the AU, it'll always have a place in my fragile heart!

Signalis Post (barely coherent thought vomit)
So I finished signalis on Monday and i think ive just about recovered enough for me to make a gush post about it on tumblr dot com, which i think i have to do cause i dont think any other game has really hit me as hard as this one. Spoilers obvs.
Being pre-transion, with that associated depression and closing off from oneself, ive always found it difficult to get out my feelings, even in private with just myself, and yet signalis has filled me throughout with its beautiful romantic melancholy and left me genuinely sobbing for the gay robot and her space girlfriend (almost worried that if id played this game on estrogen it might actually have just killed me on the spot). the only other times i can think of where i really cried were playing We Know The Devil near the beginning of the year, which really fkin hit the part of me that struggles to accept myself, and that time i rewatched the last episode of she-ra after reading the ‘Word War Etheria’ fanfic, which brings the characters so much more to life i fell for them all over again.
Signalis is a game that calls back to a lot of classic horror like resident evil and silent hill, which i havent got round to playing any of yet, but i think nostalgia works both ways sometimes and i’ll be playing them sooner now. sometimes horror gets stereotyped as all death and violence, some games fill themselves with skulls and corpses, and big ugly monsters and basically shout ‘DEATH!’ in your face repeatedly and it all just comes off as a bit garish and ridiculous and not actually very scary really. Signalis sits at the other end of that scale (with some of my other fav horror games like soma, cry of fear) where its environs are most usually just… quiet. Still. Muffled. Sad. just as often as theres tension or creeping fear because of this i find theres a strange kind of comfort too. Maybe its just that in most other genres of games theres so much of music, UI elements, pickups and interactibles with vibrant design. Here, theres room for your mind to just occupy the space. A soft fog. A dimly lit room. An empty train. Snow out a window. Liminal spaces that dont expect anything from you.
Signalis is a game thats just simply, unapologetically gay, and i dont think i would have been quite so invested in Elster and Ariane’s relationship if they were a straight couple. Its why representation is important, if art’s way for us to explore our emotions then its important to have media that we can relate to. Even Adler’s role isnt typically masculine. Our replika characters are manufactured, designed for certain roles in the base. Notes from the tough Stars and Storchs in the shooting range, the dollish Eules with the fairy lights and music player in the dorm. I couldnt help but think of groups of Eules sat around chatting, together, and im yearning for that feeling of togetherness, of understanding a friend that closely. I somehow missed the couple in the mineshaft (next playthough, ill find you v_v ). Despite the harshness of life in the Eusan nation (especially for the gestalts) the characters in it are defined by their feelings of belonging and hope. With the obvious parallels to east germany, i think of posters of cosmonauts and space travel from the time. Propaganda, sure but also made with the genuine belief in something greater. When the events of the game take this away, well, we find the last Kolibri, whod rather lose herself than lose her [ah. Im not sure theres a word here to properly describe the relationship they embody]. Its a game defined by loneliness.
We dont lie up at night scared by some corrupted android. We arent stuck with horror at the flesh everywhere, not on its own. We lie awake thinking about Elster and Ariane’s love for each other, the horror of their decline, the futility of trying to hold on forever. Its existential horror done perfectly. It shows an ending postponed and stretched far beyond its limits, and so squarely reminds you that you do, in fact, have to die one day. You’ll break down. One day you’ll say your last words to the people you love and you wont even know you have. Ariane’s final few diaries arrive with the full force of the narrative behind it, like a spear through my heart. For the record, I got the promise ending. Im still sad. It's a game about raging desperately against an unfair ending. I might think about this game for the rest of my life. I would sincerely say its an artistic masterpiece, by the sure definition of video games as art.
I like that the story leaves a lot open and abstract. I think it makes the emotional themes takes centre stage more. And i havent had nearly enough time to sift through it and come up with my own takes, we’ll need a few more playthroughs for that. And theres so much more to say that cant go in just these few paragraphs! Signalis is a game about two girls who had to run away from everything to find someone they belonged with. The universe may be cold and bleak, but you have to try, you might just find something beautiful, even if it doesnt last forever. I think if anything, we should all have the chance to find love and happiness like that, and we shouldnt have abandon a world that doesnt work for us to do it.

MY FOOTBALL
The One Direction star has two principal loves: Ronaldinho and James Coppinger
FOUR FOUR TWO, MARCH 2023 (by PAUL WILKES)
Which was the first match that you ever went to?
I actually got into football quite late, when I started playing at around 11. There were a few Manchester United fans in the family, so the first match I ever went to was an unbelievable first game: the FA Cup fifth round tie against Arsenal in February 2003 - the match when Sir Alex Ferguson kicked the boot and hit David Beckham! My best memories come from Doncaster, who are the only club I support now. We had a fantastic League Cup run in 2005 - we beat Manchester City on penalties, then beat Aston Villa 3-0 and lost to Arsenal on penalties in the quarter-finals. That was my first real low as a football fan. I can remember walking back home absolutely gutted.
Who was your childhood hero and did you ever meet them?
James Coppinger is my club hero - he played at every level and really played for the badge. Everyone in Donny loves him and he’s a great bloke too. After I got into One Direction, I was lucky to meet him and played alongside him a couple of times in charity games. As a fan growing up watching him, that was amazing l. The best person I’ve ever met in football was Pele. I met him about four or five years ago and it was incredible - he had all these stories and we spoke for ages. He was lovely.
What has been your finest moment playing football?
I played in Soccer Aid and Ronaldinho tried to nutmeg me. I was all over his shirt, giving him no respect, and I just managed to nick the ball off him! There's a sick picture that I've seen of it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The other moment was when I was about 15. I started as a centre-back, but didn’t grow any taller so moved across to right-back, and scored the only Sunday League goal I ever scored. I’ll never forget it.
What do you like most about going to the match?
The whole atmosphere, that magic. When you have those experiences as a young lad, there’s an element of nostalgia each time you go into a football stadium.
Which players do you admire even though they’ve never played for your club?
As some of my family supported Manchester United, I was never allowed to like Thierry Henry, but those grudge matches against Arsenal were amazing. He was a serious player.
Where’s the best place you’ve ever watched a game?
The Bernabeu - it was Neymar’s first ever Clasico for Barcelona against Real Madrid, which is pretty special. It’s one of the bucket list fixtures to go to. When I was young, Doncaster signed me as a reserve player and I went to a pre-season training camp in Portugal. As a supporter of the club, that’s not something you’re normally privy to, so watching how the squad trained and prepared was fascinating.
A few years ago, you filmed a music video with Bebe Rexha on the pitch at Keepmoat Stadium. What was that like?
It was really important for me and my career. The reason I’m sat here today is because of Doncaster - it’s played a huge role. It’s who I am as a person and it’s what I write songs about. The fact that we were able to film the video at the Keepmoat, where I’ve spent many days and evenings, made it so special. It felt appropriate.
What’s your favourite football book?
It’s not a book, but FourFourTwo! I used to subscribe when I was younger. I’m not a big reader otherwise. I should be, but I’m not.
What’s been your worst experience at a game?
I was playing in a charity match at Celtic Park. I got the ball and turned to my right, then Gobby Agbonkhor come through the back of me and I tore my medial ligament. A combination of the impact and me being very unfit meant I ended up throwing up all over Celtic's stodium, which I know will please a lot of Rangers supporters.
Have any footballers been to a gig?
Paul Pogba came to a One Direction show once, that's the one that stands out - he was really sound. I won’t lie, I don’t think many footballers listen to One Direction songs.
What’s the strangest place you’ve ever met a footballer?
I was in this bar in South America and, purely by chance, Bryan Robson was there with a few friends. He was a bit drunk. We went straight over and he was nice, but it was one of those times where you think, “What is he doing here?!” [Laughs]
What’s the greatest goal you’ve ever seen live?
I was at Zlatan Ibrahimovic's debut for the LA Galaxy, because I spend some time over in Los Angeles. The LAFC keeper launched the ball upfield and it was cleared back to Zlatan about forty yards out. He watched it bounce and then smashed it over the keeper’s head - an unbelievable goal. I love him - I like a bit of s**thousery in my footballers, and he's always had that.
Who’s your current favourite player?
The obvious answer is Erling Haaland, because any fan seeing him rack up the goals this season has been totally in awe. Even if you support Manchester United, you watch him and think he's superb. But for me, Jude Bellingham. I’m so excited by Jude - he's been in brilliant form this season, even before the World Cup.
If you could drop yourself into your all-time five-a-side team, who would you be playing next to?
Well, I play at the back, so I want me and Rio Ferdinand. I'd pick Edwin van der Sar, he was a top keeper in his day, then in midfield I'd have Ronaldinho - I grew up loving his football. Up front, I'll go for Cristiano Ronaldo.
What’s the most important piece of memorabilia that you have?
I had a Doncaster home shirt as a kid that I associate with growing up. A few years ago, I bought the same shirt in my current size - it's special to me, and when I met Pele I asked him to sign it. That was the pinnacle.
