still confused how to make any of these LLMs useful to me.

while my daughter was napping, i downloaded lm studio and got a dozen of the most popular open source LLMs running on my PC, and they work great with very low latency, but i can't come up with anything to do with them but make boring toy scripts to do stupid shit.

as a test, i fed deepseek r1, llama 3.2, and mistral-small a big spreadsheet of data we've been collecting about my newborn daughter (all of this locally, not transmitting anything off my computer, because i don't want anybody with that data except, y'know, doctors) to see how it compared with several real doctors' advice and prognoses. all of the LLMs suggestions were between generically correct and hilariously wrong. alarmingly wrong in some cases, but usually ending with the suggestion to "consult a medical professional" -- yeah, duh. pretty much no better than old school unreliable WebMD.

then i tried doing some prompt engineering to punch up some of my writing, and everything ended up sounding like it was written by an LLM. i don't get why anybody wants this. i can tell that LLM feel, and i think a lot of people can now, given the horrible sales emails i get every day that sound like they were "punched up" by an LLM. it's got a stink to it. maybe we'll all get used to it; i bet most non-tech people have no clue.

i may write a small script to try to tag some of my blogs' posts for me, because i'm really bad at doing so, but i have very little faith in the open source vision LLMs' ability to classify images. it'll probably not work how i hope. that still feels like something you gotta pay for to get good results.

all of this keeps making me think of ffmpeg. a super cool, tiny, useful program that is very extensible and great at performing a certain task: transcoding media. it used to be horribly annoying to transcode media, and then ffmpeg came along and made it all stupidly simple overnight, but nobody noticed. there was no industry bubble around it.

LLMs feel like they're competing for a space that ubiquitous and useful that we'll take for granted today like ffmpeg. they just haven't fully grasped and appreciated that smallness yet. there isn't money to be made here.

I strongly believe that if you're struggling to get into any area, a nice way to present yourself is by having a page—it can be pure HTML/CSS or a cloned repo with some kind of "personal website template" using all the NodeJS you want.

Then, turn it into a DNS like "yourname-myprofession.com" so you can show a clean, well-designed QR Code with your avatar during interviews. It’s a cleanest way possible to present your résumé and experience. Tech skills are like magic, especially for those who haven't seen it before.

Welcome to the team Fortress 2 SFM ask blog

Come and ask the BLU &RED anything or even dare them to do stuff , you also can ask Miss Pauline or make her do anything as well.

In this blog, I will try my best to follow along with the actual TF two main storyline (this timeline takes place before gray man’s bots-so if you ask anything about that, they will be confused)

Both BLU & RED are different people, those some of them might share some similarities in their life -they’re still different people with different stories and different lives and stuff

(Ex-RED Scout has eight brothers and BLU Scout is an only child in this)

When do you post?

Sundays or Saturdays mostly-I still have school so it’s mostly when I have a break 

Rules

-what can/cannot ask for?:

You can ask basically anything

You can ask for characters to do poses for reference stuff like art

You can dare them if you want to to do stunts or to you pranks on someone

You cannot ask for anything that is Nsfw (though I don’t see it as a big problem for ask blogs for a lot of different communities -I just wanna be safe and make sure this is what) and this does include poses -you can have somewhat romantic requested for references for characters(Ex-engineer and soldier, holding hands or kissing, or something romantic like that)

Will there be any ships?

Yes, but I’m not sure on which types yet-I’m fine with any tf2 ship except for … that gross one and you know what I’m talking about so please tell me on what ships that you guys would like to see! (the only ship that I know I’m going to be putting in this is medic and heavy— it’s a crime to not make them a ship to be honest)

What is “the one gross” ship?

I already know they will at least be one or two people confused about what I said-the ship I am talking about is.. daddy issues (spy/scout), and you can probably see why I will not be adding this at all to my thing-do not ask for the ship at all, please

Does Scout know that’s spy Is his dad?

Both of the scouts know that the Spy’s are their dads

-RED Scout that RED spy is his dad—but he acts like he does it

- BLU scout knows BLU spy is his dad, and he has a good bond with him (and he have mommy issues though)

Does the teams know that the scouts and the spies are related?

Both teams are aware -

RED does not bring it up though

BLU sometimes bring it up but not to soften. They don’t really care and it’s not a big surprise for them basically

Is anyone allowed to make you do dares or ask you to do stuff?

I guess?-though I will try to draw myself into some scenes if anyone ask me anything, but I’m not really sure

-Anyone can ask my character anything though! (he is the scout with the mask on in the photo)

When can people start asking or daring stuff?

I will be posting every time when the blog is open for questions and when it’s close

The Cartographer: I'm not that mushy. Yellow is just a nice color. Every one of us besides me has yellow skin, anyways. Also sometimes I sneak tastes of stars I pass by, and yellow is my favorite.

The Coordinator: Cartographer, we are not supposed to eat stars that are not dying!

The Cartographer: I don't eat that much, just a little taste. Plus, I know what red dwarf stars taste like and you don't.

A gofundme scammer has messaged me on a side blog that I use to sort my likes, so there is 0 info, 0 personal posts, only reblogs. And I thought to myself “huh, the bots send messages now?!” and moved on with my life. He’s written TWO more messages over the last few days, trying to guilt me. Absolutely shameless behaviour. Im fine ignoring this shit, but I know so many people are way more vulnerable emotionally and would fall for this. Especially since they apparently target you privately now, in DMs.

I really, truly hope ANY money donated over tumblr ever reaches its promised destination, because some of the things I see are absolute shameless scams, using rotten guilt-techniques to raise THOUSANDS of dollars. It’s so infuriating and frustrating to see.

Additionally, my notebook contained a pretty basic code base for a producer class that I wrote by hand. I want to become very skilled in creating Java classes based on the producer-consumer pattern using Kafka.

hmm,, in regards to UNDERSTANDING kondrakis lore, not really! as per most scp lore its all a mishmash of misc tales and (usually one-sentence) appearances in actual scp articles, BUT!!!!!!! we recommend starting at scp-408*(***) (*just for general lore reasons, shes very tied to the swarm**(*408) so its good to read up on them first .:3) (***there's another version to 408, 7408, which i ALSO recommend as that one is slightly more popular. 7408 is what newer fans refer to when they talk about her swarm ^_^) and then just kind of reading other tales featuring her .:3. her lore isnt actually all that complicated compared to most doctors so its fairly easy to figure out by just reading a couple tales involving her .:-D
