1. Peter and Marlene ‘got married’ in elementary school. James officiated

2. When Sirius and Marlene started dating James and Peter would jokingly call him the mistress

3. After they got married Marlene referred to Peter as ‘her first or ex husband’ sometimes

4. Sirius does not find this as amusing as she does

5. James informed her that he wasn’t an officiant and so her marriage to Peter was not legally binding

6. Marlene and Peter were both ‘shocked’ at this revelation

7. Remus finds this all very amusing

8. Peter and Marlene get each other things every year on their ‘anniversary’

9. Neither has any romantic interest in the other they just think it’s funny

10. Sirius was so confused when he asked Marlene out and she said she would have to check with her husband

11. She then turned to Peter and asked him if it was cool if she went on a date with him

12. James and Peter both started laughing

13. In a world where Sirius and Marlene have a kid she sometimes refers to Peter as ‘other dad’

More Childhood Headcannons/AU

I had more thoughts about Peter and Marlene getting married as kids

Peter and Marlene made little rings for each other

Marlene 'proposed' to Peter

Sirius was a little jealous of Marlene and Peter's friendship when he found out about the 'marriage'

Peter was quick to assure him that there was nothing more than friendship between them

Marlene wanted Peter to be her kids godfather

He insisted James or Remus were the better choice

Sirius and her ended up making all three other Marauders godfather because 'you can never have to many'

Peter and Lily were both Marlene's maid of honors because she said it would feel weird not having him at the alter when she got married

Peter happily refers to Marlene as 'his wife' whenever he has the chance

Sirius is the first of Marlene's partners to accept this

James likes to joke that he can't believe Peter got married before he did

When Peter is feeling down about finding it hard to get a date Marlene reminds him that she wanted to be with him forever at seven and someone will come around

She also told him that finding love while married is hard

In a world where Peter wasn't responsible for Marlene's death he is devasted and retreats into himself

Sirius makes a teary eyed joke that they're both widowers now

No one laughs

Peter decides then and there he doesn't want to die

He takes the mark knowing that he is letting his 'wife' down

Marlene cusses him out in the afterlife when he shows up

She then hugs him and cries because love isn't simple and she has loved Peter practically her whole life

She simply tells him that she made a vow of unconditional love all those years ago and though a part of her hates him another part doesn't know how to

Marlene could read Peter better than anyone else and was very protective of him

Peter always felt more confident around Marlene

James refers to Sirius and Peter as 'Marlene's husbands' even before Sirius and Marlene are married

Marlene and Peter got married because they were playing knights with James and Marlene 'saved him'

She then informed him they needed to get married because 'that's how it works in Muggle fairytales'

Peter agreed because he said it would mean they had to be friends forever

Sirius didn't think the traitor could be Peter because of how close him and Marlene were

He fully believed Peter would never do anything to hurt Marlene
