If I had three wishes, I’d use them all to gather up the courage to tell you how much I love you. I can’t do it on my own. When I see you smile, I’m blinded and my tongue turns to lead.

Hello friends, I know I haven't been active on here lately and well my page is kinda dead. Still, I'm curious, would you be interested in a blog dedicated to poetry? Not only about feminism, obviously, but just a page with my poetry and since my past experiences not only affect my views as a radical feminist but also affect my poetry so these two are kinda tied together.

Bower
I wish I could love you in that way that men do // I’d build a log cabin in a forest // Chop wood in perfect red flannel and grow a beard so thick a nest of cats could live in it // I’d happily be a worm in your compost bin // I’d dig myself into the dirt // Pull weeds and germinate // Pop me on your chopping board // Two half slices scooped out like feijoa // Leave my skin to the chooks // Strings of mycorrhizal fungi would weave through the trees // They’d latch to you // Breathe when you breathe // Sip sap like wine // We’d become birds // Too drunk to fly // Nest in moss // I’d build a bower with really sick leaves // Knowing you’d pick my nest over theirs

Spring Flowers
April 3rd, 2024
---------------------------------------------------
I sit pondering on my porch thinking about this crazy thing; this thing I cannot wait to forge Fresh and blooming much like this spring, it hangs over me, it's called love Akin to the sun up above I lay down and feel its warmth I stay a while and look North to where the birds wish to return and I think about this sweet femme and the bright colors she adorns There's nothing she says I condemn
----------------------------------------------------
And I am excited to grow; to grow healthy like the spring flowers She just makes these pretty words flow Me and her could talk for hours, just as the birds in the trees do And I know this love is still new I just really want this to last I promise I won't be half-assed
----------------------------------------------------
Let's go do strange things in the woods, where we can be one with nature We can hold hands where a tree stood and think of what we could nurture I want to do right this time 'round even when there is trouble abound I will always make an effort because I don't want us to hurt

Midnight Rain
We were so different, nothing the same
She was sunshine, I was midnight rain
My heart was heavy, aching in vain
She wanted comfort, I wanted that pain
But I was drawn to her warmth, like a moth to a flame
Her sunshine brought life, my midnight brought shame
My darkness was deep, my sorrow to blame
All of me changed like midnight rain
My heart was aching for the love it could gain
Her light filled me up, my midnight drained
I could no longer hide in the shadows of pain
All of me changed like midnight rain
My heart was so different, it was no longer the same
Her sunshine found me, my midnight sustained
My heart was no longer in darkness and strain
All of me changed like midnight rain

I cry “It's not fair!”
When you kissed me then pretend it never happened.
“It's not fair”
When you woke up next to me, and instead of kissing me, you went away.
“It's not fair.”
When you tell me let's just be friends.
“It's not fair...”
When you pull me in, and don't steal a kiss.
“It's not...”
When you leave me, and don't look back.
“It's...”
When you keep me waiting, and never answer back.

ITS REALLY GOOD GAME IS THE THING. im not sure who i wanna hang out with more, gregg or bea.. maybe bea? i remember some of her storyline and that context makes a lot of sense for her :( i think its really interesting how for mae and bea, a LOT of their issues with each other is a fundamental misunderstanding of each others character and i wanna see how that storyline plays out
Tumblr media
YEAHHHH there really is just a fundamental misunderstanding of each other when it comes to mae and bea and it is. heartbreaking. I alternated scenes and ended up playing it twice so I can get both endings lol I love both of them so much. and YESSS THE RAT BABIES AND THE CONSTELLATIONS!!! and the dream sequences too!!!! nitw is one of the few games I think would translate well to a movie or a show or something bc it's so narrative heavy and the game mechanics aren't Too essential, but the mini games are so charming and fun and add a lot to the atmosphere

Summary I want to reach out and hold your hand but the dragon is there your anger, it haunts me consumes me Your fiery breath snakes around me, spewing noxious fumes into my ears until I can hear nothing but poisonous words
A freeform poem popped into my head today. Haven’t written poetry in a while, but I like how it turned out

When the children weep over things they can't yet feel
The men will flee with their feet sinking into the ground
But as they do, the women will run towards the shore
Barefoot, they'll dance and sing, they'll hold hands when the tide comes
As the men sink into the cold, wet earth
The women on the shore will learn to fly

cute
I’ll wait for you While you wait it out You’ll chuckle, kissing me in my sleep To make me ring my heart dry In due time my stomach Will overflow with the acid Years ago I promised to never cry for you Setting an ibuprofen between my lips like Some people hold cigarettes As they search their pockets for a lighter What does this mean, I reckon Self-oblivion over and over again You only always exist in the places I absentmindedly walk into Please continue haunting This world and causing Snow to manifest in sheets on my car
