“Good morning,” Hermione whispered on a grey Saturday morning to the empty bed. There should’ve been someone at her side, his platinum blonde hair lying on the pillow, his eyes still cloudy from sleep and his lips ready for resuming what they started the night before, but he wasn’t there, the cold sheets a sign he had gotten up a while ago. It didn’t take her long to track Draco down, and she wasn’t surprised when she found him sitting on a metal chair in the garden, staring off into space, a bizarre reflection of how she had felt when things with Ron started to go wrong. If she had been a painter, Hermione would’ve brought that moment onto canvas with brushstrokes of white, black, and blue, the colours of a young widower full of guilt, determined to rebuild his life and at the same time overwhelmed by feelings of unworthiness. But he was worthy, worthy of her time, worthy of her love, and most of all, worthy of forgiveness from the side his family fought against during the war. He just needed time to understand it, so Hermione retreated into the cold manor, leaving him to a battle she couldn’t help him win.

He tried to keep his mask on, but his eyes were burning. It was not something the people around could see. That fury and fire were only for her. --- A story that takes place partially in Hogwarts and then in the work life of Hermione and Draco because life always seems to bring them close. It is a post-war story, filled with sorrow and sadness, love and fire, longing and pining, sincerity and tenstion. How can one move on with the chains of the past still wrapped around them? How could one feel for someone who had pained them so much?

Tell me more about your WIP the champagne effect please

OMG it is one of my favorites!

The Champagne Effect is going to be a post-war Dramione one shot in which Hermione laments about having to attend so many Ministry Galas, fundraisers, and events. Ron and Harry are starting families, so the Ministry has left them alone, but not single and childless Hermione.

So, Hermione has to suffer alone weekend after weekend, watching balding men kiss Kingsley's ass, while drinking disappointing sparkling wine. That is, until Draco Malfoy starts attending these events and, to her delight, brings his intoxicatingly delicious elf-made Champagne. Suddenly, these ministry events become the thing Hermione looks forward to most. Because of the Champagne, of course, not because of Malfoy. That'd be ridiculous.
