The thing is, Aiden and Kai really were both reasonably popular transmasc names, usually among teenagers, at least in certain spaces online, a few years ago. And that was fine, like genuinely, who gives a fuck? But of course, from a transandrophobic point of view, everything trans men & mascs like becomes tainted and cringe. So we'll just shame a bunch of dudes out of their chosen names, and use it to mean the worst trans guy you know. There's nothing blatantly transphobic about undermining someone's newfound comfort & confidence in their name, right? =/

Not even transmasc, but I do have one of the equivalent stereotypical NB names. I've kept it, but I have seen other people drop it for this reason. And it's just fucking sad to watch someone find this new self worth in coming out and finding a comfy name, and have it torn down by their own community until they can't find comfort in it anymore, bc that name becomes a joke and synonymous with "the worst [gender] trans person."

Idk. I'm tired. "Don't eat our young" seems like such a basic concept. And yet.

That sucks so fucking much.

If you like either of those names or any other, you're allowed to, you're allowed to be you! The hostility towards trans men is wrong, and hurtful, and does so much harm, don't ever let your authentic self be a casualty, whether that takes the form of being turned off a name or even transitioning entirely. You matter and who you are matters, and you can and will be loved.

so it's still a wip but yea achille didn't survive endwalker, which means he's not around in dawntrail. but there's a reason for that;

achille technically wasn't alive to begin with, his body was kept in stasis in the aetherial sea thanks to hydaelyn rescuing him from the 8UC while his soul ran about a la the warrior of darkness/unukalhai/cyella. because of that he was semi-immortal and a considerable threat for sundered ascians in terms of strength, but not strong enough due to soul density and some such. he has a direct connection to hydaelyn, but because of her own dwindling resources in keeping zodiark bound, achille began to (slowly) weaken over time

near the end of endwalker, without hydaelyn to sustain him due in part of paris slaying her, achille essentially faded, but he was able to finally move on to the aetherial sea and rest, his battle is finally over. with the world now protected by paris from any future threats, his job is done. what that gpose set doesn't show is that the wormwoods had to deal with his death in their own way—someone they considered to be a brother and uncle both tore them apart and brought them back together. they have to carry on without him being there, but they know he's in a better place

I honestly didn't want to 'kill' him because he's such a funny character, but it would be cathartic for him after being denied the release of death for so long because of the way his echo worked (much like a save point in video games, he's revived back to a point where he could start over, basically resetting the timeline, something hydaelyn intentionally created as one of her many failsafe methods)

it kinda annoys me how transmascs will go out of their fucking way to make sure they don’t step on the toes of transmisogyny when talking about transandrophobia, and then transfems repay that courtesy by referring to transandrophobia as stuff like “the bastard child of transphobia” (real quote)

Every other day I see my transmasc followers reblog things that made me personally roll my eyes into the back of my head and decide the OP was the most annoying person on Earth. And I regularly get anons that are like, well, there are all these complex reasons I think transradfems behave this way, because their situation is really bad and it confuses them and makes them scared and sad and lash out, and my response is always.

Yeah. But also they suck? They're bad people. Radfems are bad, horrible people who knowingly do bad, horrible things. They suck. And I regularly get worried my attitude towards trans radical feminism will make my followers decide I actually am riddled with internalized transmisogyny. No doubt I've lost several transmasc followers for being too aggressive, for the things I say being too potentially transmisogynyistic for them to be able to stand in good conscience, or even just generally too mean.

I keep repeating this over and over and over, but I have to keep saying "I learned about this because transmasc friends brought it to me so I could decide if it was bad or good for them" because no one ever listens.

They are so generous and eager to show up for trans women, and all they get is accusations of being MRAs who want to socially murder the people they constantly put first just because they try to talk about their own oppression too sometimes. Every day radfems like apricot-aligator tell thousands of high schoolers to call them slurs and never trust them or any other non-trans woman. It's so exhausting to watch. It feels like I'm having my soul exsanguinated.

I have to believe that despite everything Émile Zola was right when he said "If you shut up truth and bury it under the ground, it will but grow, and gather to itself such explosive power that the day it bursts through it will blow up everything in its way."
