One of the moments that stuck to me from Demon Slayer is when Mitsuri tells Tanjiro and Nezuko that "we'll meet each other again, even if it's in death"
Bc this girl, this girl, she's the Soft GirlTM, one of the only Pillars without a tragic backstory (not to discredit the horrors she must have witnessed while being a slayer though). The Love Pillar, the slayer that never wanted to be one but became one bc she didn't belong anywhere else. The only Pillar that dreamed of getting married and creating a family. The Pillar that dreamed of love...
Idk man, something about her being the kindhearted soft character and still delivering such a grim line but in such a hopeful way? It gets to me

Charlie: Dads? I'm Bisexual
Lúcifer: Oh, Bisexual? I thought I named you Charlotte! :D
Alastor: Ugh! Really? And you dare call yourself a father! Allow me to show you how it's done!
Alastor: Hi, Bisexual! I'm Aroace, pleasure to make you acquaintances! >:D
Charlie:
Charlie: I think I'll go back to bed, proud of you, Al...
Poor Charlie is stuck in a eternal loop of dad jokes. Save her!
@mikka-minns ? May I tempt you with some Queerplatonic Radioapple being cringe co-parents to Charlie?👀👀

going INSANE. what is he thinking. why did he say this. why does he do all of this. i am thinking so hard.
we know he's seeking arceus to recreate the world bc in his eyes the world is cruel and unjust and it needs to be destroyed and remade. he's set himself on a mission to create the better reality he's envisioned for his whole life.
but everything else he does. the way he spends his time on pasio making people smile with togepi. even if he justifies it as something purely transactional to get more customers, we know he doesn't really take his merchant job seriously. the way he loves his pokemon so much that they will pop out of their pokeball to excitedly tell whoever will listen how much they love volo back. him trying to capture these moments of happiness tangibly because they never last long and can be wiped away any second.
he still hangs onto hope so much despite what's implied to have happened to him. in spite of all the anger and bitterness that's festered in him, he doesn't really want to destroy everything as he says.
it all started with a wish for the world to be a better place, for the good in the world to outweigh all the cruelty. he's still trying to spread what happiness he can.
but at the same time his past drags behind him and reminds him that he can't afford to trust in the goodness of the world.
that self-assigned mission to usurp arceus's power and rewrite everything.. to him, it's his duty now. he has to do it for himself and, as he rationalizes to himself, for the world.
so he ignores the flaws and holes he finds in his own reasoning. he can't help but seek out the brightness and happiness and goodness that does exist in the world, yet he has to dismiss it to justify his goals.
... all this to try and explain to myself why volo's asking all these questions and making all these comments that seem to go against what we'd expect given his ulterior motive and plans. and it's like he's asking the few friends he has to remember him as the one who seeks joy, even when he does the worst to fulfill his dreams

so about the header that proceeded today's statement:
Viability as agent: Low
Viability as subject: None
Viability as catalyst: Medium
i didn't know what to think of this part of the entry at first, but the longer the statement went on... was the institute in this universe trying to manufacture avatars?
the dice can't do anything without someone to use them, they can't be an "agent" by themselves, but might be capable of manipulation, so in that aspect their viability is "low."
the dice could be a "subject" in the sense that they could use further studying, but the statement itself was a very thorough investigation of their workings, so in that aspect their viability is "none."
the dice seem to influence their holder to roll them, or at least find more victims to roll them, and could therefore be described as a "catalyst" for someone's becoming. but, as seen in the statement, their owner can give the dice to someone else (albeit not without consequences), so in that aspect their viability is only "medium."
so what about the line following all this, what does "Recommend referral to Catalytics for Enrichment applicability assessment" mean? if we go by this interpretation, i'd say it could mean the institute wanted to find a way to make the dice even more potent as an artifact, maybe even remove that pesky ability for their owner to reject them.
imho all of this this brings a whole new level of context to the events of episode seven, of unknown violent agents going after an influx of objects that seemed straight out of artifact storage. was that the nature of the titular "magnus protocol" first mentioned in episode four, the one that involved the starkwall group? containing or destroying potential artifacts before the institute could get their hands on them?
it also makes their "gifted kids program," and sam's link to it as one of the kids being studied, all the more horrifying to think about. was it not just avatars in general they were after, but child avatars specifically? no wonder gertrude got so defensive over the possibility of sam and celia dragging gerry back into the institute's business last episode, we all picked up on her clearly knowing more than she's letting on but now we might know the shape of that information a bit better.
and one final bit of food for thought... this statement had a lot of familiar themes, didn't it? free will or the illusion of it, gambling and not-so-random chance, the statement giver being done in by one final hit from what feels like a bit of an addition... all hallmarks of a certain mother of puppets. doesn't it seem fitting that "chester" would use this kind of statement to warn sam about what harm pursuing the magnus institute could bring to him, considering the one his voice might draw from? and doesn't it seem so painfully ironic that his warning seems to have only driven sam further into that web?

ashton greymoore lore [1/?] ☆ the ashari
Orym's the reason that Ashton joined the group. Flat out. [Because] he said the word Ashari and that was immediately like, Okay, I'm in. 'Cause that is as close to the word that Ashton knows about where they came from that they have. It's the first time he ever heard it.

Person A: “How did you even get the whole court to agree to this anyway? They hate interacting with humans, and yet they’ve been suspiciously friendly and accommodating from the moment they arrived!”
Person B: “Oh that? I just agreed to genuinely consider finally taking the role they’ve all been begging me to fill for the last couple centuries, so long as they all played nice and helped back (Person C)’s position if anyone was foolish enough to oppose todays events.”
Person A: “...’Consider’ taking the role? Not even an outright acceptance?”
Person B: “You underestimate how desperate they are to have me lead.”

taxian-jun is so wild...he's a cursed tyrant. he's a retired guy competing with a dog for his husband's attention. he's a mass murderer (reformed). he calls his garden his harem. he's egotistical and overconfident. he decides to become the valley's best farmer because he lost one (1) livestock show that he entered randomly. he's the vengeful immortal emperor of a past life. he resorts to purposefully disorganizing mo-zongshi's qiankun bag so he can't find anything on his days. he mastered the forbidden techniques in secret to deploy an empire. he's diligently studying the postpartum care of sows. a girl lied about him getting her pregnant so he offered to take responsibility by kicking her in the stomach. he is a househusband.

Hey so, I am searching for a fic, 90% sure it's on Ao3 that I am struggling to find again. Been looking for it the last few days.
Includes children batkids and Bruce trying to balance the whole being a parent with being part of the Justice League.
Points I remember in no particular order:
Bruce ends up being the one to rescue Kon
Tim traumatizes a lantern after getting separated from the others in metropolis or somewhere and straight up telling the lantern that his dad is batman
I believe they are in the different city for a track meet or something similar since Dick is running
There's a bit of Outsider Pov when Bruce takes the kids to the pool so Damian can take swim lessons, I think the Pov is one of the people working there
Steph or Cass insists they get TWO whole dolls because they're twins
the league has no idea that batman is Bruce or that he has a bunch of kids
When I say kids I mean kids, I think Dick was only like 13
If anyone can help me find this, it would be amazing. My phone restarted and I lost it mid-read.

Lea… do you remember what a clear sky looks like at night?
Out in the countryside, no town or city nearby?
I hope one day you will…
