IT IS JUST A BODY
the size of my body says nothing about my worth. I'm allowed to take up space. my body cannot stay the same forever. weight gain is not failure of weakness. relapsing in my ed won't improve the quality of my life. losing weight will not make me love myself more. i'm allowed to give myself time to adjust to changes. the size of my body says nothing about who i am. life with an ed was not better. beauty does not depend on weight. the idea of a "perfect body' has been an illusion every time. fighting the urge to relapse is strong not weak. it is just a body and I'm so much more than just that.

Recovering from an eating disorder is hellish but so so so enriching. Like now, I am not 24/7 crazy about food, I eat till I'm full, I don't measure my weight twice everyday, I don't even think about flinching when I shower. I'm slowing growing into my wonderful body and she is so gorgeous. My hair is healthy and shiny, my eyes sparkle, my skin nourished, my butt is cute, my legs are strong and I feel alive. Never will i insult myself by dieting, losing weight or trying to be something I'm not. I'm beautiful fr and I'm myself.

i don't know who needs to hear this, but guilt, self-hatred and shame are not sustainable sources of growth and healing. you can't hate yourself into feeling better, or being better. you can't repeatedly punish yourself for your flawed humanity and expect wholesome results.

Teaching children thinking bad thoughts about someone is the same thing as murdering that person is fucked up.
Thought crime doesn’t exist. No one has ever been harmed or killed by someone thinking negative thoughts about them.
You know what has harmed people though? Teaching them they are evil for things they can’t control. Especially those who have intrusive thoughts.
Here’s for everyone who has been taught their thoughts make them evil.
Intrusive thoughts are not your secret desires.
They are involuntary.
You don’t need to be ashamed of them.
They will pass.
You are not committing taboo.
No one can read your mind.
No one will ever know what’s in your thoughts unless you feel like telling them.
No one can judge you for what you are thinking, whether voluntarily or involuntarily.
Your thoughts are private
You are not a bad person.

maybe mediocrity isn’t wrong. maybe you don’t need to be the best at everything you do. maybe you don’t need to be the best at anything you do. it’s ok to simply do things because you enjoy doing them. its ok to not want to advance in your job. nothing has to be a competition. you don’t need to be better than anyone. you can do things just because they’re fun. you don’t need to read up on the history, and know everything about it. its ok to just exist. its ok.

you're not a monster. you're you. you're flawed, yes, but you're also incredibly alive. just human. real. capable of great things, capable of change and growth, too. don't define yourself by the inner critic lashing out at you. you're not your worst moments.

Its okay if you need a longer time to adjust to new things than other people, its okay if you need a little more time to get used to new things, its alright if you take a bit longer to feel comfortable and familiar with new places, people and things. Dont rush yourself and take all the time you need to process everything. Sometimes the mind needs a little more time to take things in, and to let it sink in.
