People should acknowledge the fact that alcoholism has become a part of Logan’s character in like a genuine way, like yes it’s used jokey in the show but GODDDD it just makes it so clear what direction his character is going in. He is falling apart, he is becoming more and more dependent on destructive coping mechanisms, he’s pushing the light sides away more often and being more friendly with the dark sides and especially Janus, who has showcased a lot of similar traits which Logan seems to be developing, he’s a HYPOCRITE, he’s an ASSHOLE, he’s got issues opon issues!! He is a spiteful alcoholic and the nickname “nerdy wolverine” is becoming a whole lot more literal these days!! And I FUCKING LOVE IT!! I like bloodweave. Okay. But I DON'T like the version of them in fanfic where Astarion is a dick and Gale is like. Whining and pleading for him to be emotionally vulnerable (or just. Nice to him) prior to the relationship being established. Because that is just not accurate. Gale needs the player to express interest in him during his weave-teaching scene before he even considers hitting on them properly. Gale is entirely resigned to his fate and needs someone else to pull him away from it. Gale only starts being sweet and romantic and devoted after you accept his love confession and give him hope for the future. Gale says fuck all and then slinks away to cry privately if you break up with him.

Like he isn't chasing after people lmao. He isn't dropping to his knees and crying about anything much less this dickhead he met a week ago. He is overwhelmingly passive about literally everything personal to him up to and including his own death (provided there are no casualties/there is a good reason) until after the player expresses that they care about him. Astarion is not doing that in any of these fics.

Like Gale is friendly and a dork and doesn't wanna get murdered but he fully has a suicide plan. He thought the artefacts would help him survive but he didn't believe he'd ever truly live again. If Gale confessed and Astarion said/did like one (1) mean thing afterward Gale's romance is closed off forever. He's wandering into the forest to cry. He's killing himself immediately. His fragile ego and self worth can't take it. You have to understand that when we joke about him being pathetic it's not bc he's like. Sopping wet and chasing people down and begging for a scrap of attention. It's because he craves affection but would literally rather die than ask or even hope for it until someone else forces that hope back into his serotonin-deficient tadpole brain.

the worst (best) dynamic imo here is danny and vlad's in the sense that they do earnestly want to be each other's family but their morals are diametrically opposed and so it cant work unless one of them changes. they're playing tug-o-war with the other's beliefs but can't seem to get the other to cross that line.

You know what would’ve been an ideal ending (or at least semi proper compare to whatever the f was that)

Instead of trying to erase themselves so they can get back to the original timeline, they could’ve saved THEMSELVES and get inside that metro and go to other alternative time lines where they could’ve been happy and have a happy ending. (Maybe finding a way to remove the marigold as well?)

Like, maybe Allison could’ve gone to another timeline where she could’ve been with ray and Claire and start a family there (where they’re safe as well), or Viktor could’ve gone to another timeline where Sissy and Harlan was there and they could’ve been a family.

Luther could’ve gone to somewhere where Sloane is still alive and they could’ve live happily ever after, get married, have kids etc. Lila and Diego could’ve gone somewhere with their family (and WITHOUT FIVE) where grace is still alive or a robot idk and knows Diego (and she’s still a mother figure to him) and they both could’ve been happy with their kids and work out their marriage and be in love again. AND KLAUS, could’ve find another time line where Dave is still alive and they could’ve gotten together again and live happily in their farm (maybe with kids or pets idk).

(Idk about Ben and Five but I’m sure they could’ve find another time line they could be happy and make a life for themselves, maybe five could’ve found someone else to love :) a new love interest:) that is NOT Lila :))

They could’ve done so much for the finale, so many alternative endings that could’ve give everyone a proper beautiful ending where all of them are happy and living their lives in peace and safe from the chaos. But NO, instead they ruined it with whatever that was :) and that is something I will forever be pissed, bitter and sour 😊

Alright I feel like my problem with the Eustace Winner name (Sebastian my boy I'm so sorry) is that he's a really major character with depth and development.

From the start AA has had really stupid pun names and I loved them. April May, Redd White? I thought those were the best when I was playing ace attorney for the first time.

But characters who were actually important -- Phoenix, Maya, Edgeworth, von Karma, I could be wrong but their names aren't as stupid of puns as Redd White or my beloved Detective Detective Detective (love you gumshoe). I mean, Wright is literally just a play on right, but it's not a phrase, like I feel Eustace Winner (Useless Winner?) Is supposed to be. And Phoenix is a reference to his nature, how he "rises from the ashes", it's about his general overall character and doesn't feel like a mean joke. To me, naming Sebastian Eustace Winner is like if Edgeworth was named Meenin Evil so you know he's a bad guy when you meet him.

Poor Sebastian though, he has a LOT that happens (I never finished aai2 actually but I want to give him a hug and a mug of hot chocolate), hes a very important character, and it feels like they gave him a side character name? When he has a lot more importance to the story than just one case
