Part 2
Tumblr media
Seoul, May 28, 2024,
The night sky was clear, sparkling with countless stars, when a streak of light pierced the silence. Like a cosmic firework, a small spaceship looped and whirled before diving toward Earth. Unknown to the city's inhabitants, a small piece of space was about to collide with their urban lives.

"Thank you for your hard work," the Aespa girls say out of breath as they bow to the staffs in front of them. The girls have just finished their last performance of the day and are leaving the stage through the back. The sound of heels echoes in the hallway as they make their way back to their lounge, followed by their managers.
As soon as they enter the room, the girls collapse on the black sofa at the back of the room, between the various makeup stations, and enjoy a well-deserved rest.
"You've done a great job, that's all for today. Get dressed for departure in 30 minutes," says the manager. But determined to enjoy the sofa for a few more minutes, the girls drag their feet, except for Giselle who, in a rush of motivation, grabs her bags and heads for the dressing room.
The cabin is spacious and can accommodate several people. There is a large mirror on the wall. Giselle puts her bags on the nearby table and takes off her black boots, which lower her a few inches and allow her two beautiful feet to breathe. Although she loves this kind of footwear, she's very happy with the feeling of walking barefoot on the cold floor. A pair of white mittens follows, as does her necklace. All that's left is her black T-shirt showing off her two buddies, and a pink, white, and black military skirt, all tied together with pretty white and silver leather straps.
Giselle spreads the straps over her shoulders and finally lets them fall, still tied to her skirt. She is finally free from the torment of pleasure that is the constant rubbing of the straps against her sensitive nipples. She unzips the front of her skirt. There's a metallic sound on the floor and a cold sensation in her thighs. She grabs the bottom of her T-shirt and pulls it up, rubbing the underside of her breasts as they begin to jiggle.
She looks at herself in the mirror, her body now in sports underwear, her skirt still at foot level, and immediately notices the presence of someone behind her, a pretty Korean woman, still exhausted from her day, stands behind her and their eyes meet. The two women exchange a smirk.
"Karina-unni, you scared me!! Are you here to enjoy the show? you've come at the perfect time," says Giselle, not at all worried about her member's presence in the cabin.
Karina leans against the wall behind her and looks at Giselle “well, I see you still like to make a spectacle of yourself, Mr. Mirror is lucky to have such a slut for himself” she knows that Giselle loves this kind of situation and never hesitates to tease her when she can.
Giselle turns and faces Karina, whose back and ass are now visible in the mirror's reflection. Although she's used to seeing the other members in revealing outfits in her dorm, Karina finds herself staring at the perfectly round bottom of the woman in front of her. The image of a juicy peach comes to Karina's mind. Giselle realizes her effect on the leader and decides to finish her off immediately. The woman picks up her gray panties and bends over to pull them down. As she takes her time pulling them down, Giselle reveals more and more of herself, and Karina's eyes widen as she sees a round, ruby shape pressed into Giselle's butt.
“Meet my friend,” says Giselle with a big smile, Karina is now all red, she didn't expect Giselle to be wearing an anal plug at all during their working days. “You're such a slut, hurry up and change, the others are coming.” Karina replies. "What's the rush, you're the one who came unannounced, look how my ass is taking it so well," she jiggles her ass against the mirror, "imagine if it was a fake mirror and someone was watching us now," Karina struggles to answer and gets ready to leave when all of a sudden, the manager knocks on the door and tells the girls to hurry up.
The show is over, Giselle changes out of her underwear and into a stylish yet casual outfit, a simple oversized sweater, jeans and a cap to hide her face. She steps out of the cabin and comes face to face with Winter and Ningning, who are surprised to see Karina with a flushed face. They enter the cabin while Giselle lies down on the sofa by herself.
As she leaves the building with the 3 other girls, Giselle asks her manager if she can make a detour to the mall. Giselle had always been in the good graces of her managers, the image of a nice, calm girl was just a facade for her darker impulses. her manager has no reason to refuse and goes ahead with the girls, Giselle is now alone. The adrenaline of the performance is still pumping through her veins and the night has covered the city in soft shadows, tonight she wants to escape the often overwhelming life of a kpop idol, if only for a little while.
Giselle adjusts the straps of her bag as she walks toward the mall. She hums a tune, her mind bubbling with excitement for the shopping trip ahead. It wasn't just any trip, she had been looking forward to this day ever since she had placed an order online two weeks ago. Today, she finally gets to pick up her secret package.
Even though it's dark, once inside, the artificial light could make anyone forget what time it is,
Tumblr media
The first store she visits is a popular streetwear boutique. The racks are full of trendy pieces, and as she looks through the clothes, she feels a wave of inspiration wash over her. Fashion has always been a passion, and today she wants to explore it freely, without stylists or choreographers to guide her choices. Just her, a piece of music playing in her ears. She stops at a cafe to get something to drink on her adventure between floors. Though trivial to many, she had learned to enjoy the small pleasures of a simple outing in contrast to her celebrity life.
But there was one store she was eager to visit, an intriguing little boutique tucked away in a corner of the mall. Giselle could feel the excitement building inside her as she made her way there. She stood at the door.
With a quick glance around to make sure her cap and glasses are firmly in place, she pushes through the shop's door. A soft bell announces her arrival, and the dim interior, lit by colorful neon lights, immediately envelops her in a captivating atmosphere. The walls are lined with everything from cheeky novelties to sophisticated items, and Giselle couldn't help but smile.
As she browses, her own lust begins to kick in and the feel of the toy she's hiding in her hole warms her body. Giselle rarely went out without her best friend deep inside her pleasure hole, leaving only the ruby-colored head peeking out from her plump butt. She squeezes as she feels the cold rod stirring the insides of her ass, yet she is mesmerized by an array of colorful products, each one more playful and daring than the last. She picks up a set of anal beads, a mischievous grin creeping across her face as she imagines the looks of surprise on her members' faces when she decides to give them away as a prank.
"Maybe I'll get the sexy cat outfit for Karina,” she thought to herself, giselle gazes at the black and white costume, the top barely covering the body, with only a band of fur covering the nipples. The bottom, on the other hand, is a transparent black strip with fur on the hips, the front is open with drawings of a cat's mustache on the opening.
and last but not least a 4 ball butt plug.
“Karina tries so hard to hide it but we all know her sex drive is insatiable, at night her moans of self pleasure can be heard all over the dorm, I even saw some red bite marks on her nipples, she must love her own milk”, she chuckles to herself as she continues to explore, letting her imagination run wild.
Tumblr media
"I can't believe it, what's it doing here?" she exclaimed, spotting a cute-looking brown teddy bear on a shelf and approaching the object to take it in her hand. The sensation of softness reminded her of the time she'd caught Winter rubbing her wet pussy with one of her animal toys, the moans she'd let out in a low, lustful tone before exploding and staining her stuffed slave, her eyes full of pleasure.
She says to herself “This girl doesn't know when to stop, she takes this poor bear with her everywhere, whether in the company, in the green rooms or even at fan meetings. Just imagine her rubbing her dirty and wet hole while talking to her fans, you can be sure she will never let him go thirsty.”
She notices a small remote control attached to the back, “a vibrating bear, no less” ; she already imagines her little rascal happy for her next birthday.
Tumblr media
Now that she had discovered potential gifts for her two Korean members, she couldn't leave Ningning to her own hands, the problem being that she wasn't very open about her sexuality.
"Mhh... What about Ning?" Giselle wonders, knowing that Ningning likes to be treated like a princess. More than once, she's led our staff by the fingertips to get her to do what she wants. Then she remembers a scene when they were training for her comeback: Ningning had got into the habit of spanking her members during their performance, and whenever she got her hands close to their asses, she couldn't help but stick her hand there.
Her face when she delicately slapped Winter's ass during their choegraphy is hard to forget.
She moves on to another section and the atmosphere here is quite different from the others: black leather outfits, eye masks and, in the middle of it all, an assortment of bondage whips with the word "SM" engraved on them, she smiles before saying in a low voice, "After all, a princess has to educate her servants when they deserve to be punished but even though she's the youngest, behind her soft character is a little girl who looks forward to give pleasure.”
Tumblr media
After picking out a few items - some for herself, some as gifts, she approaches the counter where a cheerful cashier welcomes her.
"Miss, did you find everything you were looking for?" the cashier asked with a playful smile in his eyes.
"More than I expected!" Giselle replied, her cheeks blushing with a mixture of amusement and excitement.
"I also got a notification that my package is ready for pickup," she adds, unable to hide the lust in her voice.
"Absolutely! I just need to see your ID and the confirmation code from your notification," he said, tapping his tablet screen. Giselle digs through her bag, hesitating for a moment as she pulls out her ID. She could feel her heart pounding, anxious for her package to be in her hands.
Suddenly, as the cashier turns to go to the back of the store, a huge noise is heard throughout the building, shaking Giselle's legs and sending her into a panic. Giselle freezes, a cocktail of fear and confusion coursing through her body as she instinctively runs to the front of the store, with the cashier right behind her.
Now standing outside the store, Giselle hears over the loudspeakers all over the mall:
"There has been an accident on the 5th floor. Please evacuate. Security will escort you to a safe area. Giselle makes sure her clothes are straightened and walks over to the security guard stationed by the elevators.
—--
On the floor directly above Giselle, an unprecedented event had just occurred: the crash of an unidentified object that tore through the sky and dived into the mall.
The crash site is unrecognizable as the impact sends shards of concrete and metal flying, startling the people inside the building, the crowd flees in fear, alarms starts screaming and the security officers rush to the scene. The hole in the roof reveals the full shadow of the moon, while the lights on the fifth floor no longer work and the cool night air fills the room. In this cloud of dust and darkness now lies the wreckage of your ship.
Your spaceship, a jewel of technology, is now smashed to pieces, the front window shattered on the ground, the rear landing gear cut off at the top and reduced to rubble.
The security personnel who hurry to the upper floors, wondering if some unexplained phenomenon has taken place. And then, from the smoking site, emerge the creature that will forever change Giselle’s life.
This is you, Cok, an alien octopus of vivid hues and shimmering red. Your body is a testament to the miracles of evolution; soft yet tough skin adorned with luminescent patterns that shifted as it moved; two black eyes capable of piercing the night with a single glance; cerebral faculties adapted to survival in any hostile environment; all these gifts of nature contained within such a small frame body. Your eight long tentacles glided effortlessly, taking in the new surroundings as curiosity flickered through his mind like electric sparks.
As you slowly become aware of your surroundings, the vibrations on the ground caused by the running guards, coupled with the deafening sounds of the alarm, awaken your survival instincts and you take advantage of the smoke to flee out of the impact zone and quickly crawl through the debris. Within the chaos, you were able to sneak into a shop whose door had been left open and take refuge in the room's emerging darkness.
—--
At the same time, the guards finally arrive at the crash site. Upon seeing the extent of the damage, they discover that the ground is littered with debris and that there is still dust in the air. It gradually dissipates, revealing the ruins of your ship.
Cautiously approaching, they finally get a good look at the structure responsible for the chaos. Confused at first by its shape, they don't think at first they're looking at a ship from somewhere else. Limited by their human knowledge, it is logical for them to think of a drone accident, deliberate or not.
The arrival of the police and emergency services helped to stabilize the situation. Fortunately, there were no fatalities and only a few injuries, mostly from the shock of the impact or debris from the surrounding area.
1 hour later,
A loudspeaker announces that the mall is closing immediately and that everyone should leave; the facility's security is now in question and there's no telling if there will be another incident.
Giselle has now returned to the first floor. She sits on the floor next to the cashier. Still shaken by what happened and tired, she is forced to go home without her package.
As she stands up, a jolt of electricity shoots through her body as she feels her toy sink deeper and deeper into her tight but wide open hole. She has the feeling that her toy is sticking to the very bottom, the idea of rubbing her fingers against its folds comes to her mind, and she also feels the formation of a small stain in her panties as they rub against her slit. A rush of libido hits her and every step becomes an agony. She's close to climax, but resists as she heads for the exit.
As she walks away and starts to call her manager, the cashier catches up with her and asks:
"Madam, do you still want to pick up your package, it won't take long".
This was the nail in the coffin, the desire was too much in her body and she could not refuse.
"Sure, I'll follow you," she said, her cheeks flushed now, her eyes full of lust, and her breath coming in short gasps.
—--
You've been hiding in the dark for a while. When the alarm goes off, you're greeted by a silence that doesn't displease you. Now you begin to explore your surroundings, even though everything around you is completely unfamiliar. Your tentacles aren't just there to move you; they're also powerful sensors, each with its own brain.
Crossing the room, you find yourself in the back room, devoid of light. You scan your surroundings. You identify metal structures, objects of all sizes and sensations. You are then attracted by a current of air coming from the ground. You crawl towards it and enter the passageway, probably damaged by the crash.
The passage is narrow even for you, and you continue toward the source of this air until you reach a dead end. You're immediately startled by the emptiness under your tentacles and feel yourself falling into the vertical vent. You barely catch yourself on the first ledge and slide to safety.
You realize that taking the downward path would be a mistake to avoid, and that the only solution is to continue blind in the ducts. After crawling about 5 meters, you hear a conversation in the distance and hesitate to continue in that direction. Finally, curiosity gets the better of you.
"Oh, this can't be! Look at this mess!" the cashier vent, accompanied by Giselle, who just arrived in front of the store.
The store, though one floor below the accident, had seen its merchandise knocked to the ground; some of it is still there. The once magical atmosphere was now just a pile of junk.
"Just a moment while I clear the way, ma'am," the cashier announces.
You arrive in what appears to be the back of a store. The environment is similar to the one you touched earlier. A faint beam of light from the shop crosses the room. You examine your surroundings again until you encounter something that paralyzes you for a moment.
Through your tentacles and round eyes, you recognize what appears to be one of your own kind. You make contact with this red creature with eight tentacles and two beautiful black eyes. But something isn't right. You don't feel any reaction from it, and the sensation of touch is unfamiliar, almost as if it were fabricated. Unable to discern the truth, a strange feeling arises in your body. This creature looks like you, but seems so different from you.
At this point, you're certain that the two people in the other room are dangerous. The bodies of your fellow creatures lying on the floor next to you are proof that your kind is not welcome on this planet. In panic, you hear footsteps coming towards you, and you hide in this narrow object. The sensation is pleasant, you feel as if you're being enveloped.
“Madam, the tablet is broken. You'll have to enter the code on the deliveryman's website. I'll pick up your package.”
“Thank you,” Giselle shouted across the room.
Hidden in this container, you still perceive the glimmer of light, the envelope of your hiding place gives you a feeling of security and comfort you have never experienced before on this planet, until the moment when total darkness drowns you, you feel tremors around you, the air becomes thin, but you don't need it anyway...
You hear the loud shout of a human announcing something in a language unknown to you. “Miss, i’ve found your package”
You realize you're being moved, trapped in your box, you panic, wondering how you managed to find yourself so easily, knowing in advance that a direct confrontation is hopeless, you have no fighting skills, especially not against creatures much bigger and heavier than you, You're sure you've been captured and will suffer the same fate as your fallen compatriot.
"Here madam, I took the liberty of resealing the package, it must have been knocked over by the explosion, in case of damage, I apologize even more, now we have to hurry and leave," says the cashier.
Giselle, who finally has her precious package, leaves the mall before calling her manager to take her back to her dorm. It's been a busy day, but Cok's adventure is just beginning.

First of all, thanks for reading, I've never written a fic before, but it's something I really wanted to try :) Think of this as an introduction chapter. I know the themes might not be to everyone's taste, but please look forward to the next ones.🐙

❀Muerte[PIBTLW] x Depressed! Reader❀
Tumblr media
〖I decided to turn my strong feelings into something instead of letting them eat me from inside... 〗
❥It's a Reader x Death, from "Puss in boots: the last wish".
❥The reader will be a female.
❥You can imagine being a (medium size) animal if you want!
❥TW! (Please stop reading if you feel uncomfortable. I'm serious.)
∘₊✧──────✧₊∘∘₊✧──────✧₊∘
It was a strange day... A strange feeling was surrounding the area where, Y/n was sitting on her roof while she watches the stars. What was going through her head? Nothing. She was literally empty.
The wind caresses her face, as she rest her chin on her knee. The roof wasn't too high, it could break a leg for sure, but nothing more... Of course, not considering literally everything in life is mortal.
Y/n's eyes darted away as her memories started to slowly pass by her pupils...
The small business she was running just caught on fire by "unknown reasons", but anyone with a small brain could tell it was the enemy business on the other street, but because of the amount of money they had, "no one could really tell whom did it". Y/n used all her salvations to build that small place, it took months- no, years.
Every single detail was lovely though, she could remember how she smile when she first brought the paint to cover those walls. The feeling of finally reaching that dream you worked so hard to made it real.
But it was okay, right? After all she was with nothing on the beginning too, it's just start over... But, oops now that girl had bills to pay too, after all her dream was costy.
Y/n could hear voices from her friends on her head, like if they were on that roof with her.
"Go put their place on fire too!"
"Hey chin up, you still got us, right?"
"You're not that weak, girl, you just need a good piece of chocolate pudding!"
It was such a good memory... If they were here. If wasn't that discussion right after one of friend death. Maybe if she didn't talked about that, maybe if they just went to the funeral in silence... Maybe Y/n wouldn't be alone now.
That pressure, that guilt, that darkness slowly squeezing her throat until without even noticing... She wasn't breathing.
"Hey." Suddenly Y/n hears a voice, making her snap out of her empty memories, she look in front of her and there was... An gray wolf with two blades attached on his hips and a black coat on top of his shoulders. "Do you want to kill yourself...?" He asked with a strong and somehow gentle voice.
And the question seems unreal... After all, it wasn't a "good morning" or "how are you?". Y/n just keep staring at his eyes like they were two of the most beautiful rubies on the earth.
The creature kneel down, now eye-to-eye with a soft gaze. It wasn't threatening, neither scary. He just stands there with a hand resting on his knee and the other hanging on his side. "I don't want you to do this..." He says "corderita..."
Y/n's eyes just stares at him with emptiness and tiredness. "Why...? You're death, aren't you? Why you, of all of the creatures, don't want me to die...?"
The silence was installed and the wind became present again, the sound of the leafs and small bells at distance.
The wolf just sigh closing his eyes breathly. "No es por que... I have to do my work, that I like it..." His eyes met hers again "you still have a great life ahead you... Corderita..." His eyes were sincere and his voice was gentle as the rain.
With tears on her eyes, Y/n whisper with a creaking voice "How do you know...?"
The wolf smiles softly, "por que..." He stands up and look up at the sky "From great falls there's always a great comeback... And now you can choose, between stay on the bottom of the sea and never swim up..." His eyes met hers again "you can start swimming again..."
Death sat by her side with a small sigh of relief and follow her gaze through the stars "Listen niña... Life is like a coin in the air, sometimes we got the goods, sometimes we got the bads. And sometimes we aren't even expecting the bad" He chuckle "mas... You shouldn't end your life because of something that already happened... Bad things happen! So what?" He says in a lighter tone as he keeps that comfortable smiling. "I think you mortals forget that the future isn't right, and it's only up to you take the next step... And this..." The wolf points to her chest "... Is the most important thing on your life... Tú."
Y/n felt something different on her chest, that was right, she was passing through a storm, but that doesn't mean she couldn't pass through it.
The wolf just smile and get up "Bien, I have to go now corderita... So, be angry, be sad, be scared, be all of this together for a little while... But don't forget to swim up later, 'kay? Because the future..." He chuckles "es un misterio..."
And with the wind that strange figure disappear. Y/n look at the stars again with a look more... Gentle... After that she take a deep breath before burring her head on her arms and knees.

warnings: suicidal thoughts, ideation, reckless behavior, depression, the works
You don't know the sound of the end until you hear it yourself. The last words you ever hear, are they harsh? Are they loving? Do they beat at your heart until it's a bloody and bruised mess of an organ? Or do they hold onto your fading love and cherish it like a generational heirloom.
Perhaps you did know what it sounded like, although you hadn't realized at the time. Saying the last love yous to your parents, kissing your baby brother's forehead for the last time. Joking around with your friends. It all came to an end, so suddenly and abruptly.
You were a ghost and surely this was some sort of hell. Trapped without those you know, struggling to survive in the strange unknown.
Your heart was empty, drained of all the blood and love it usually needs to survive. You were less than a ghost, you were a corpse. Maybe you should bury yourself alive, let the dirt swallow you whole until you are nothing but fleshy food for the creatures of the ground.
Sometimes, you wondered if you even still had blood beneath your veins. If you were to take a dagger and slice it across your palm, would that ruby red drip past or would it stay silent? Would your body cry out or would you stay forever mute?
How long have you been in this place? Months or years- it was hard to keep track when your brain had shut off long ago. A puppet for others pleasure, to be used and used. He didn't see you, not truly. He just wanted you to be useful, not to be a human.
Did you do something cruel in your old life? Was this some sort of divine punishment? Maybe this was the universe telling you, you don't deserve love or affection. You deserve this.
To be worked like a dog day and night. To be forced to save those you don't even know, all the while sacrificing your own sanity. None of these people can understand the way your body is nothing but a bag measly holding onto your soul when all you wished to do was let go.
Could they see the haunted look in your eyes? The dark bags under them? The sickly pallor of your skin? The way you dragged your feet as if it took too much energy to walk properly.
Or worse, did they see the way you treated your life with reckless abandon? The way you were so willing to die, like you were wishing it might happen already.
The night grows tired and the day awakens, more moments that you are away from your home. A fish out of water, a monster among gods.
You would have to get through another day, you would have to force yourself through it all. Just for those you didn't seem to even care for you nearly as much as you did for them. Would they die for you the way you would die for them? would they live for you the way you are for them?
One day, maybe, you might be able to feel that rope hug your neck. Or feel the liquid fill your lungs like an elixir of peace. One day, you might die. So you can once again feel alive.
But that day is not now, and it feels nowhere close. You have to protect those who can't protect themselves. You need to be there for them, even if they may not return the sentiment. Were you a hero? Perhaps, but it didn't matter. You'd take the chance to die if it were an option.
“Someday,” you whispered, your voice croaky and dry from lack of use, “I will return home.”

you hoist the straps of your bag onto your shoulders, stumbling slightly due to the weight of the items being contained.
you let out a deep sigh and turn to face your party "this is where I depart" you say, taking a moment to examine the expression on each of their faces. "really? are you serious" one shouts from the side. you narrow your eyelids at them "if you think I'm gonna work for zero pay you can forget it" you retort, in return they glare at you with a perk in their lip. you turn on your heel, giving them a subtle wave before taking your leave.
you feel around in the pockets of your bag for a map you had drawn with your party earlier, all you felt was the rough texture of leather against your fingers. your steps come to an abrupt stop and the flower of panic began to blossom in your chest, you allow the bag to fall off your shoulders and you quickly turn to search through it, nothing. "No .. No.. No .. NO! How could this happen?!" you scold yourself, hands coming to grip the sides of your head. your lower lip quivers as you frantically look around, searching for a familiar pathway.
you stand up with a shiver, inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. you have to calm down, you cant.. think straight when you're panicked.
you chew your lower lip and begin to move in a direction you felt was the safest, "right is always right..." you say sheepishly.
hours, hours of walking in random directions, hours of sauntering through heaps of trees and to your avail, not finding a single trace of home. you let out a defeated sigh as you slump against the scratchy surface of tree bark. you bring your knees to your chest, caving into yourself. and only now, do you feel tears begin to fall. hot tears sink into the fabric of your pants as the tears continue to come, and you feel as if you can't stop them. you're filled with an intense sense of regret, even taking pity on yourself for being so careless, that's how you winded up in this situation in the first place.
you don't remember falling asleep, but you wake up-- to the sound of soft breathing, warm air fanning your face. your eyes flutter open and you're met with golden eyes boring into yours, you take a while to register the situation and you flinch bumping into the tree behind you. the creature just stares, seeming to admire you. your eyes trail over it's huge body, feathers soaring across every crevice. scales, redder than rubies, accompanied with a set of black shiny claws. all of that, but you're fixated on this creatures eyes, brighter than diamonds, that seemed to be the scariest part about the thing.
you let out slow shaky breaths as it continues to stare at you, not even blinking. the sight disturbs you and you grip onto the fabric of your shirt, indubitably wrinkling it. you notice that the upper half of it's body seemed to be fully human, and.. it was quite beautiful too.
soft feathers adorned the expanse of it's chest, stopping just above the nipple. the lower half seemed to be that of a chickens.
"odd" you mutter, but the creature picks it up. it lets out a low growl as it moved away from you "delgal.." it says gingerly "not delgal.." it repeats the name of an unknown man, this time a bit louder, causing you to flinch.
it huffs in annoyance, a creature so intimidating yet you find it's existence amusing. you've never seen a monster with emotions so genuine, perhaps there's still a tinge of humanity lingering in the depths of it's soul. but regardless, it was a monster and you needed to kill it. though you couldn't bring yourself to lift even a singular finger at the thought, a creature of this size was nearly impossible to kill by your lonesome. why hasn't it left yet? it just keeps staring, a pang of unsettlement strikes your gut.
you stare to the side awkwardly, yet it keeps staring. as if it's lost in the train of though, your gaze serenely trail back to it.
it takes slow steps toward you, your heart beats rapidly in your chest at the thought of what it had planned to do to you. squeezing your eyes shut, you prepare for pain. yet it never came, the gently feeling and hands coming beneath you and lifting you into the warm embrace of another being with ease. soft pins of feathers tickle your face and you sheepishly open one eye, your lips part at the discovery of a creature so big.. carrying you as if you were the most delicate thing in the world.
-
the creature shows you off to a person who looks to be an elf with silver hair, he didn't look to be of much importance.
he eyes you for a second, then scoffs "whatever, keep them"
you quirk a brow, is this tiny elf in possession of a creature this big? he must wield power only one could wish for.
feathers tickle your ear, making you snort. the creature averts it's gaze, settling on you nestled closely to it's chest.
she makes a gurgled noise, the gesture puzzling. you'd hope you hadnt upset her, though her expression withheld no malice.
the ground elicits a powerful sound with each step the monster took, it seemed to be searching for something. "what are you doing..?" you whisper to yourself.
the creature finally halts it's movements, lifting you into the air and placing you gently on the feathery half of its back as it goes to collect something from below.
you attempt to peer over it's shoulder, but it's body was entirely to big to view anything Infront of it.
it's feathers pique your interest when one prickles the tip of your finger. you run your fingers through them, some catching between your fingers, others passing with ease.
the teacher sighs in content and rises from it's previous position. "hm" it hums, seemingly examining something. it peers over it's shoulder, allowing you to catch another glimpse of it's eyes. the sight makes you shudder "food" it murmurs, bringing a walking mushroom into your view.
"is.. that safe to eat?" you question loud enough for the creature to hear. it's shoulders slump as it goes to examine it again. cautiously the creature brings the tip of the mushroom to it's lips.
"don't eat that!" a meeker voice yells, from below. it was high pitched, frankly annoying. it must've been the elf from earlier with a peculiar appearance.
"I already let you bring in that human... give me that!" the elf waves it's hands in the air, signaling for the creature to hand over the walking mushroom. it grumbles in defeat and throws it at the elf, nearly knocking it's small frame over.
you soak in his attire, a cape adorning his neck. what an odd choice of fashion, not to mention the dark circles forming beneath his eyes. when was the last time he's slept you wonder.
-
after a while of laundering, the creature grows tired and pulls into a corner to slumber. it falls onto the scaly knees of it's dragonish lower half, curling into itself. you take a minute to admire the creatures feminine face, had it been a girl before it's transformation? it doesn't have the mannerisms of a regular human nor is it entirely verbal, seeming to rely on gestures or noises to get by. "what an odd thing you are" you whisper, falling back onto the plush of the creatures feathers.
it embraced your skin, emitting the warmth of a blanket. the creatures soft breathing adding comforting ambience. was this better than being outside? constantly battling monsters not knowing what you'll encounter next.
yeah, it was.

Strange Bedfellows by Ariel Slamet Ries HarperAlley
In the not-too-distant future, most of humanity resides on its last-ditch effort at Meridian, a remote alien planet where you’re more likely to be born superhuman than left-handed.
None of that is important to Oberon Afolayan. Since his mildly public breakdown, his whole life seems to be spiraling out of control—from dropping out of university to breaking up with his boyfriend, it seems like only a karmic inevitability when he wakes up one day with the ability to conjure his dreams in the real world.
Oberon’s newfound powers come with a facsimile of his high school crush, Kon, who mysteriously dropped off the face of the planet almost three years ago and who is a little more infuriating (if not also infuriatingly hot) than Oberon remembers.
Kon makes it his mission to turn Oberon’s life around, and while they struggle to get a handle on his powers and his disastrous personal life (not to mention the appearance of strange nightmare creatures), it turns out this dream version of Kon has secrets of his own—dangerous ones.
Oberon might have more on his plate than he originally thought, but is giving up his dreams—even the one he might have accidentally fallen in love with—the only way to find happiness in reality?

Okay y’all so I have been thinking about the finale since Friday and the more I puzzle on it, the less I believe Ruby’s fairy tale ending was genuine. I of course was a big proponent of the “Ruby is River’s daughter theory”, but I am starting to be one of those people who think she is an unknown member of the pantheon. More specifically, I think she may be the daughter of The Trickster, I’ll go into why.
Let’s start with Ruby’s “mom” in the flashback, her hooded face with humanoid lips visible gives me serious Trickster vibes from SJA. A constant lament was “WHY CAN’T I SEE HER FACE?” Well, The Trickster really doesn’t have much of a face aside from ruby-red lips and sharp teeth. Honestly, why would a 15 year old have such an ominous cloak and where did she get it between the maternity ward and abandoning Ruby at the church? Granted a 15 year old still high on painkillers from giving birth could definitely do some zany shit, but it seems like a stretch to me. If my hunch is somehow correct, I would go so far to say that in the time window they did not see Ruby’s parent crying under the hood, but rather laughing maniacally. In fact, I honestly thought she was laughing when I first watched that scene. If the “mom” is actually The Trickster, then he would definitely have been laughing as he takes great pleasure in messing around with The Doctor and their companions.
The Trickster is the god of traps, which typically involves some narrative that a person falls prey to in order to be ensnared by the trap set for them. Ruby as the child of that entity could totally be able to create narratives that people would happily believe and become a part of, or to put it succinctly: a story. It isn’t any further of a stretch than the god of games having a child that is the god of music.
I think as the season went on, Ruby subconsciously created her own happy ending and bio parents piece by piece. Finding her parents seemed to be a process of creation as it unfolded. The DNA scan in 2046 only showed Ruby’s DNA twice. After defeating Sutekh though, 2024 UNIT was able to seamlessly find some ordinary and flawed woman eager to reconnect with and apologize to her abandoned child. Her bio mom is even willing to reach out to a presumable one night stand from 20 years ago, catch up with him, and see if he wants to become a father figure after two decades. Also the origin of Ruby’s name through a street sign that seemed to not exist in the footage, until it suddenly did, felt like an actual change to the timeline. I have nothing against this ending per se, it just all felt deliberately too perfect as if reality was bending entirely to Ruby’s deepest desires. To top it off Ruby somehow pulled the exact narrative of 10 and Rose’s goodbye for 15 and herself, almost as if unconsciously she tuned into one of The Doctor’s deepest heartbreaks to reflect how horribly she felt about leaving them.
I don’t think Ruby’s real story is close to done. I think her perfect ending will start to show cracks, and the reality of it will seem more created than true. Eventually we may even see her wake up to the truth of her power in time for The Trickster to come in and truly fuck around with things for her and 15. It would be interesting to see her owning her power to send her own bio parent into a narrative that The Trickster could never escape.
There is just too much that went unaddressed. How did Ruby conjure snow? Why was Maestro so disturbed by her hidden song that they said there was something seriously WRONG with her (Maestro literally refers to her as a CREATURE)? How did she fold her own timeline back in 73 yards? Why were people so terrified of or infuriated by the apparition that we now know was Ruby? Did the Ruby in the distance tell people about her ties to the Pantheon of Discord? Did the apparition know the truth of Ruby that is hidden even from herself? Why would Sutekh care about the hooded parent more than anything else he creeped on during his centuries attached to the TARDIS? Is he a Jerry Springer fan, obsessed with “you ARE/ARE NOT the parent” reveals?
One final thing that makes me think they may pull a child of The Trickster into the story. In SJA before Elisabeth Sladen passed, they were planning on revealing that her adopted daughter Sky was really The Trickster’s child all along. The episode never aired as SJA could not go on without Elisabeth. I could see RTD honoring her show by making that story canon through Ruby. After all, Ruby too is an adopted daughter.

[angels/fallen angels AU]
Characters:
– The Lord of Darkness/Tomelior (Tom): The oldest fallen angel, looking like a centuries-old statue in a resembling a monk's robe with a hood. It hides a pair of dark, piercing eyes that sometimes turn scarlet at a certain angle. Behind his back he has a pair of large dark wings covered with ash with numerous scars from centuries of labor. He wears a ring similar in shape to a beautiful black snake with a very smooth and shiny body and ruby eyes. He is immortal, he lived for about 300 years, but since time flows very differently in Pandemonium, and you can live a whole life here in one hour, this figure is not accurate. The discoverer of evil, proud, decided to challenge the Creator, to take his place. Having sown seeds of doubt and persuaded some of the angels to join him in the struggle for the throne, he began slowly but surely to gather supporters. After hearing about God's desire to create the Earth and populate it with various creatures, including humans, he intended to rule them, making them vassals of his kingdom and distribute crumbs of power to those angels who joined him, who would help him achieve his goal. However, the planned and planned uprising failed: at the moment of the battle with the angelic army remaining loyal to the heavenly throne, a group of rebellious rebels, including Tomelior, were thrown into the otherworld by the forces of the Creator. Falling from Heaven into Pandemonium, and falling from the mercy of the Creator, he had to survive in a new, unexplored environment. Staying in numerous wanderings and searches, he saw a lot: the mysterious lands of this world, the creatures that lived in it, his companions of fallen angels who changed, succumbing to their inner nature. Later, Tom stumbled upon the Land of Eternal Shadows. After exploring it, he settled here, declaring himself its master, the Lord of Darkness. Since then, he has ruled it alone, this vast kingdom. He lives in a cave, spending most of his time alone with his thoughts.
– Harreth (Harry): A bright angelic creature, with immaculately snow-white wings and a more petite body, over which a snow-white Roman toga is draped. On his left ankle he wears a bracelet with beads created by their crystal hailstones. A sweet, pretty face with emerald eyes. Just like the rest of the angels, born and incarnated by the creator initially into a spirit, and then acquired a material shell, kind, innocent, but also stubborn and defiant Harreth spent his entire short, barely begun life in Heaven and knew nothing else. Due to his inexperience, he does not have such inveterate prejudices about the evil and vicious nature of fallen angels. He is still too young for some complicated assignments and is learning the business from the senior angels. All angels must undergo proper training and learn centuries-old knowledge from their teachers before being assigned to be a guardian angel, messenger angel, or warrior angel. Sometimes the instructive instructions of the seraphim and cherubim, as well as a strict system of hierarchies and rules, annoy the restless student and he runs away and explores new territories. So once he accidentally fell into an otherworldly, completely unknown world for him, almost crashing if not for his wings that saved him. By a strange fate, he ended up in the kingdom of the Lord of Darkness, in the Land of Eternal Shadows, and this gives rise to their forbidden relationship.
– Creator (Dumbledore): An eternal phenomenon, present everywhere and nowhere at the same time. The original Self and the cause of all things. No one has ever seen his presence, so no one can tell what he looks like, but everyone has heard his soothing, enveloping voice. He can be completely different: wise and understanding, supportive and loving of his creations, but also cunning and manipulative, and in some moments ruthless. The guardian of the past, present and future knows the beginning and the end of time, but to share this knowledge only with his trusted advisers. There is a duality in him in the desire to leave his creations to determine their own fate, and at the same time in the intention to conceal something for their own personal interests.

In coherent Gambit theory and rambles. That is months in the making.
Spoilers I guess for the comics and a shit done of spelling Mistakes i literally did this at 5 in the morning. It’s is a collection of Gambit lore and story beats and a theory to help make sense of Remy LeBeau
- [ ] Th guilds or at least the New Orleans branchs needs to find the old kingdom
- [ ] Apocalypse and his servant know of it despite it being ancient Even for them but their original time period was much closer then 1891 era was.
- [ ] The Celestial technology has the same writing system as the old kingdom and may straight up just be the same technology
- [ ] The Guilds can only find the kingdom by working together and somehow Remy is the one to unite them hence the Le Diable Blanc prophecy
- [ ] The old kingdom is a utopia of coexistence regardless of skin tone, religion, or human and mutant( coexistence like Xaivers dream)
- [ ] Marvels earth seems to have artifacts spread throughout the world
- [ ] Including a statue in turkey that looks suspiciously of Remy( maybe a byproduct of 90s art gambit volume 3)
- [ ] Said statue was filled with Kinetic energy that caused the new sun’s own internal energy to go nuclear and destroy his home world
- [ ] The Prophecy of Le Diable Blanc mentions their Messiah(Remy) was to bring forth heaven’s light(but new son is from another reality with the same prophecy hinting at multiple seers across Time and space to misunderstand a certain event)
- [ ] Oddities with the thieves guild. LeBeau is specifically a clan of the old kingdom
- [ ] The thieves guild or all the thieves guilds seem to have a secondary agenda of keeping certain artifacts out others hands
- [ ] Could explain why Jean-Luc and Stephan strange know eachother and consider each other friends. The Guilds work with the sorcerer supremes closely.
- [ ] The all new Xfactor has Remy stealing an artifact that will unleash a doomsday creature (Logan dismisses because the language is supposedly dead. Remy is still very concerned about it being used regardless. Cypher exist Logan.)
- [ ] The Madripoor set that can open realities. A set of six crystals that go with a temple in Madripoor that acts like the gate way to other dimensions. Also something the Thieves Guilds try to keep out everyone’s hands only acting when people try to collect them all. (Why they don’t lock them away make me think it falls under Dragon Ball logic.)
- [ ] Ororo Mother gave her a ruby that has been pass down from mother to daughter for generations.( the giant red gem she wears with her costumes sometimes. Ororo maternal ancestors were powerful queens and sorceress one of which was a sorcerer supreme for nearly 4000 years. Weather her family has the stone because of the sorceress supreme was to keep out of other hands is unknown or if they had a connection to the old kingdom or guilds but theirs a possibility.)
- [ ] During the series extreme X men storm and her team search for the destiny diaries.
- [ ] In the diaries Destiny foresaw Gambit being crucified by the Madripoor set and his kinetic energy is amplified to through the crystals( This is post reverse lobotomy burn out post new Sun battle Gambit so their is a lot of power being used dangerously)
- [ ] Side note both Gambit and Storm have a lot of connection to magic and can possibly use magic.
- [ ] Perhaps this why a centuries old Wizard known as the Antiqury wanted Remy as a child.
- [ ] The portal opens up and Khan an alien who conqueres across the dimensions.(No relation to Kang as far as i can tell.)
- [ ] Gambit eventually gets free almost dies and is burned out on his powers. Again.
- [ ] Sage jumps starts him and then he goes blind and then he’s has future powers
- [ ] They do not stick for long plus it’s up their with the wacky stuff the new Sun potential
- [ ] Now some random shit. Gambit technically knows what the old kingdom is because his adopted grandfather and his allies figured out with Apocalypse’s chamber but Sinister ripped those memories out and sealed them away into Remy’s brain and only a surgeon of Sinister’s level could unleash them.
- [ ] Remy is a key.
- [ ] Some weird connections. That will make sense.
- [ ] Irene, Sinister and a woman named Amanda muller all worked together on a project known as the Black Womb. They experimented and killed mutant children. Not only that but to map out the genetics of human evolution and eugenics. Technically Juggarnaunt, Xaiver and Shaw were apart of this program when they were children.
- [ ] Black womb is also Amanda Muller because her unique mutation gives her long life and Sinister paid her to kill her unborn children for science.
- [ ] Amanda Muller is the Ancestor or at least allegedly of the Summers family.
- [ ] Irene Adler a precognitive mutant was part of the Black Womb Project. It also was not as controlled with their experiments. Because of Muller.
- [ ] In New Sun’s(the alternative gambit) reality Black Womb under a semblance of control became Alpha-1 and was more successful in its experiments. New Sun was born their by organization paying his parents to combined their genetics. If his flashback siliouettes are to be believe he was born from an actual person not a test tube like X-Men the Ends Gambit( no mention of sinister on New Suns part)
- [ ] The Alpha-1 knew what Gambits powers were gonna be.
- [ ] Perhaps because of a certain precog mutant predictions in a controlled environment.
- [ ] New Sun somehow killed an omine present being the Phoenix. Which is possible. Wanda can apparently do this because of the nature of her powers.
- [ ] New Sun eventually made his way to the New Orleans guild and was mentored by his realities Jean-Luc. Hence why they went to Turkey to see the statue of the Old Kingdoms king. (The unification of the Guilds is important for this step because they both have Tomes on how to reach the old kingdom. Jean-Luc jumped the gun.
- [ ] The New Sun has the power to travel time and Space.
- [ ] The Witness(Real name only LeBeau) is allegedly an alternative reality version of Remy from Bishops future who helped raised him and his sister.(It’s Remy he’s Cajun! And shit!)
- [ ] The Witness is a temporal anomaly. He exists at the confluence of all the timelines. This simply means that he is able to exist at all points in time at once. It is in this way that he is able to know everything before it happens. He is technically Schrödinger Cat of Marvel.
- [ ] He is the biggest enigma. He may or may not be Remy because he and Remy exist at the same time (the man is an alternative reality version of Remy. Possibly a dark future for him)
- [ ] He technically own stark industries in Bishop’s future.
- [ ] The man calls refers to himself as both a prisoner and a prison. Unfortunately he was killed in preparation of Hopes birth but he seems to have a reemergence in the Askani timeline because their was a group called the Order of the witnesses founded by a man trying to redeem his past sins( so basically Remy.)
- [ ] Also he sits on alot thrones. Very similar to Remy. Like a lot. Remy has a lot of throne imagery.
- [ ] But also one throne he sits on is in front of a Collume of pure energy. Very similar to the one Remy emits during his crucifixtion
- [ ] Interestingly he apart of a story were a symbiote who is the opposite of the Phoenix known as Le Bete Noir(The Black Beast and The White Devil. Funny)
- [ ] The Witness also created something Called the Momentary Princess an egg like deceive that travels throughout time and space gathering information.
- [ ] Once again an artifact that the New Orleans Guild specifically the LeBeaus are tasked with retrieving it. Canadra also wants it as well so it maybe because of her but it’s also maybe because of the old kingdom stuff.
- [ ] Also a random piece of Info in the Ultimate Universe there is no Guilds and Remy seems to be an Actual LeBeau not adopted like all his counterparts. I include this because it’s interesting tidbit and somehow still has a connection to Sinister.
- [ ] Again Maybe because of 90s art work but if you were to compare some of the panels of Jacques, Jean-Luc and Remy out of Context you would either think that three are the same person or all related by blood.
- [ ] The LeBeau heraldry is a Sun and the name irl was originally estimated to be established between 1840 to 1920.
Ok so what am I getting with all this Random info that I know that I’m missing bits and pieces and have greatly misssplelled.
First what is the old Kingdom. The Old Kingdom seems to be a utopia created by using Celestial technology and somehow Remy is involved.
Gambit is the Key to access it or was the source of power to access it. One would assume he like Ororo would be a descendant of someone special hence why he seems so important to the imagery. But Remy’s entire life is a Paradox so why wouldn’t his connection to the Old Kingdom be. Given how the Witness seems to exist essentially at every point of time and created something to appear at every point time I believe that the King of The old Kingdom was the witness himself. I believe he came from reliaty where his orgins are similar to Ultimate Gambits with the twist is he joined Xaivers cause. I believe given all the really weird shit that happens to comic universes to begin with a catastrophic event took place and nearly decimated earth. In order to save everyone he and what other survivors maybe a few scientists like beast or forge or Reed or Stark came together and found some old Celestial Technology maybe specifically Apocalypse chamber. They reverse engineer the tech in hopes to help eart but they need a power to keep the tech going. Here we have Witness!Remy who can power it. Perhaps when jump starting it a large amount light could be seen across the planet.(Heavens Light)
Slowly but Surely Earth begins to bounce back. Witness! Remy begins to learn more about the tech he’s powering. Maybe because of some strange Osmosis he learns about it. But there is one thing Witness!Remy is changing. Over time a new Kingdom of earth is made in a sense. Over Time the original scientists begin to fade away due to time and age. But not Remy he remains enternal. Remy becomes a leaders champion Xaivers message of equality Over time Remy is declared a king and new tradition are being created ones that will be carry on to the Guilds.
Over time earth is a utopia that begins to expand to other empty planets in their solar system. Over Time they created tools which will eventually become artifacts to tap into Remy’s power so they can better transverse the starts without having issues returning home over time other space Empires grew jealous of their unique resources and their mass of allies due to their coexistence policy.
Over time an alien Conquer name Khan rises and starts a war that threatens to destroys their reality. In a last ditch effort Witness!Remy hands covered in blood from the wars he was forced to fight tries to save every one the tools that let them go from one planet to another with ease are reworked by the new Kingdom scientists and mystics to transport everyone across time and space. They just need to use Remy to fuel the path. He does and it shattered him. His mind his soul. Across time and space at every moment and time he is there. His people survive across the multiverse tech and artifacts scarttref across the ages being reused and retooled for othe purposes.
But the old kingdom clans remember. They plant the statue down of the old kingdom clans as memoriel and scatter across the world. Starting the guilds and maybe other organizations that have strayed from the path. The LeBeaus are recognized as being an old kingdom clan. Perhaps clan LeBeau descendes from the witness himself. If he was the king who’s to say he didn’t have any heirs. Because Remy’s entire life is a Paradox his adoptive family is technically his descendants from another reality.
But the Witness is broken and he bares Witness to everything. Sometimes he active sometimes he’s reactive and sometimes he just sits down in his chair watches. We know he watched over child 616 Gambit. Letting him play in his crypt.
Jump foward to 616 Gambit and Jean-Luc is stealing him from the hospital. Jean-Luc and his Nephew are the only ones who know Gambits true origins.
All we know about Gambit is he was taken. Given to the Antiquary for four years taken again given to Fagan a bastard of a thief assassin for 6 years. Until at the ripe age of 10 Jean-Luc brings him home. We know in 1891 he travels back in time and meets the original Nathaniel Essex who will later create the four suit clones. A motif heavily associated to gambit. Another connection to Sinister.
Perhaps Gambit is the Bastard Son of Jean-Luc perhaps he’s the actual son of The Banished son Jacques LeBeau making him Jean-Luc’s younger brother. Perhaps he the child of an unknown Jean-Luc sibling. He has two unnamed sisters why not a third or a brother. Perhaps Remy like his tempory guardian he too was a bastard of an assassin and a thief. Given the long age of the Thieves of the Thief guild it could have been anytime.
Maybe like the New Son Gambits Parents were hired by the Black Womb accept one was from the LeBeaus and one was an assassin maybe they got wrapped up in it and had a kid maybe it was one Remy’s parents or Remy himself. Maybe it was Remy’s mother who had the same eyes as him. But regardless weather it was Remy or a parent he and everyone involved are in trouble. Because the two guilds basically have a shared bastard and that a no no and Sinister now knows the man who came from the future is born or possibly is about to be Born. It’s also possible that Sinister during the experiments he spliced his dna into Remy in utero technically making him one of Remy’s parents maybe he spliced his sons dna in utero just to what would happen and what results would be yielded or maybe when Remy’s mother was raised in the Black Womb project Sinster used her like he used Amanda Muller a new source of DNA to make various children to experiment on and eventually through his genetics into the mix and out came Remy
Regardless of how the events happened Remy’s parents end up back in New Orleans maybe the hospital they gave birth was a secret facility for Sinister.
Remy is born regardless and should technically not exist because both Guilds at best will abandon him or at worst kill him on sight if they ever know the truth. Regardless Sinister now knows Remy exists in the modern era and has sunked his claws into him and watches Remy’s life like he did the summer grey bloodline. Waiting for the opportunity to get ahold of him in some capacity. He only views Remy as a son when he knows he can use it to fuck with Remy and manipulates certain events to test him. (Hiring him at 15 to retrieve his journal at weapon X. Theirs a version of him in the multiverse that worked for weapon X)
What we do know for a fact the Antiqury learns of Remy’s birth alerts Jean-Luc maybe he knows of Remy’s true origin and tells Jean-Luc or maybe Jean-Luc figures it himself all he knows is that the child is the key to his guilds survival both past and future and give him to the antiquary. Eventually the guilt gets to. Jean-Luc and rescues Remy and puts him with Fagan’s mob.
Remy LeBeau is the key to the old kingdom due to time and space multiversal bullshit. He has the potential to be a god his powers can break reality. He is the Messiah for both Guilds that is both Praised and Cursed in the same breath. He is character that is very under utilized and has many great opportunities to explore some really cool lore in the Marvel universe if you can somehow attached it to the guilds. He’s an even deeper connection to Ororo because of her mother’s Ruby.Perhaps it was fate that brought them together or the multiverse echos of the past. Regardless Remy becomes an X-Men and his life is even more intertwined with Sinister and Irene.
Hopefully 616 Remy doesn’t follow the same path as the Witness and he too becomes a broken shell of himself.
Gambit has potential for a great story about fate and family and choosing his path in life. Perhaps one day the old kingdom will come back into play and Remy will become a damsel and it takes the combined effort of his friends family and allies to save him so he doesn’t go down the same paths as New Sun and Witness.
I’m sorry if this isn’t coherent but I literally did this at 5 in the Moring and I know I’m missing shit for this. Feel free to add stuff you think is relevant.

Tumblr media
creatures of grimm were foul things. horrid creatures controlled by their equally horrid master that strived only for destruction and since they didn't have a soul, never felt a thing for the damage they caused. the only defense against them was really just people like you, huntsmen and huntress.
creatures of grimm couldn't use aura, they were both mindless and souless so you never expected them to harbour such a power - this one was clearly an exception. it seemed and looked different to the usual that you'd face and it made you wary but that was all the more reason to not let it get away.
you couldn't explain what happened to anyone, even if you tried your absolute hardest. one minute you were fighting the weird looking creature in remnant the next, you were in a place that onlooked to a sea of stars - crescent rose still in hand. you had absolute zero clue where you were but if this were some trap set by salem, you were determined not to be caught out so you hid.
hiding wasn't going to last you forever but you hoped it would atleast buy you time to figure out your surroundings and your situation. fortunately for you, the express crew never really had any suspicious for the first day. the express was still cruising through space and was in search of a planet so many did spend most of their time in their rooms and only started suspecting something when pom pom complained about another ghost problem.
in regular fashion, pom pom sought out himeko when they yet again feared the express had a ghost. pom pom explained in a rather rushed panic to himeko about how they had heard footfall and even some of the food had disappeared. normally himeko would assure the conductor the express didn't have ghosts but it seemed all too strange out in space.
the second tiime pom pom complained about a ghost was mid way through the second day of your unknown arrival. it was less of a complaint and more of a frightened panic however. pom pom had spotted you on the far side of the express and immediately rushed to find someone, anyone to rid the express of the ghost.
fortunately for pom pom, unfortunately for you, they had managed to stir the entire express crew and now himeko and welt both insited that maybe there was something aboard the express - although they both doubted it was any form of ghost. you knew you probably wouldn't be able to hide forever but now that they were looking for you, you realised you probably should have some sort of explanation.
to say the express crew were surprised to find an entire human hiding on the express would be an understatement. immediately after spotting you they all went on guard and demanded an explanation as to why you were hiding on the express, especially because of their recent endeavours with the stellaron hunters leading them to believe you were one of them.
you felt hesitant to give out the full information for the extent of your predicament but you wanted to clear the idea they had of you being a stellaron hunter - you had no clue who they were but if these people had such a big reaction, it mustn't be good. the extent to what you told them was how you didn't know how you got here or how to get back home.
the express and it's trailblazers were known for helping out many people and while your short explanation garnered some sympathy, they were still understandably wary. welt asked you why you didn't make your presence known on day one, if you weren't a threat, and you only agrued back that you were scared. but for the time being you would have to stay on the express, they weren't that cruel to throw you out into space.
the atmosphere on the express notably changed after your discovery, for valid reasons. they had truly no idea who you were, especially because you refused to let up anything past your name and the brief explanation of how you got here, and now you had to spend time with them before they docked somewhere. you also rarely interacted with them and only did so when they initiated conversation with you.
dan heng himself was quite the reserved member of the express. that's not to say he didn't interact with his friends often but he normally would keep to himself. he was also quite observant but nobody needed to be to see that you were struggling with your situation. he reasoned with himself and left you to it and would only offer help of you approached him.
but he realised how unlikely that would be and eventually he really couldn't stand seeing how much you struggled. he could easily sympathise woth your situation to some degree and would offer to listen but you always pushed him away - much like the other trailblazers. you knew he meant well but you simply couldn't afford to build some sort of connection with someone, especially in a world that eas definitely not your own.
but what was from your world were the creatures of grimm. the creatures that now stood aboard the astral express under the orders of their master, salem. you could take a very accurate guess and assume that the express crew would have no clue on how to defeat them, they could put up a fight but creatures of grimm were different.
so you would waste absolutely no time and no hesitation when throwing yourself right into the fight and putting yourself between the creatures of grimm and the express. you couldn't let it happen again, you couldn't let the creatures destroy the express crew. while you could've been fancy and used your petal burst or even your scythe, but you wanted it quick and efficient - silver eyes would be that way.
the entire crew were left shocked, and rather impressed, at your skill in battle and dan heng could only stare in pure admiration for your skill but you were reeling. the guilt hit you all at once, the creatures had probably found their way here because of you. now you had caused even more trouble for the people in this world and who knows if more creatures of grimm would work their way over. you needed to leave. to get far away. to never let these people get hurt-
you were pulled out of your spiral by a hand. a hand that was placed carefully and with the utmost comfort on your shoulder. your head slowly turned to find the owner, a certain raven head that had done nothing but try and help you smiled gently at you. you hadn't noticed before but somewhere in your spiral your legs gave way, you only noticed as dan heng crouched down to your level as he gave you reassurance.
the other express members could only agree with what he was telling you and himeko gladly told you that you didn't need to leave but it was all drowned out. you could barely makd out what they were saying and could only focus on the comforting sight of dan heng. for once you could let your guard down, let yourself become more vulnerable - and this was when you practically tackled him into a hug.

I gather that ghost-types don't really make good pets, but I'd love to see where Sableye ranks.
Tumblr media
Sableyes earn a C rank, but it’s not for the same reason as most ghost-types…..mostly.
On the bright side, sableyes are little guys! They don’t need a lot of space to get around, but unfortunately their wild behavior necessitates a pretty specialized living space. The biggest issue with sableyes is their diet. Wild sableyes make their homes deep inside isolated caverns under the ground (Ruby) where they use their sharp claws to dig through rock in pursuit of their food: raw gems (Sapphire, Emerald). The discerning reader can probably already spot a couple of problems. For one, getting food for your pet is gonna have a pretty high price: providing your sableye with raw gems is going to get expensive fast, if you’re wanting to provide them with the good stuff. The other problem is their digging: these little guys are adept at digging through solid rock, so they could really do a number to your home or backyard when they can a little hungry. Due to their unusual gem-hunting lifestyle, this pokémon has a low ease of care compared to their size.
Are sableyes friendly to people? Well, it’s complicated. For one, they don’t have a lot of contact with us: sableyes are rarely seen since they living in dark, underground caves (Ruby, Emerald). They are often feared by humans due to stories about them having a sinister, supernatural power to steal the spirits of humans when their eyes glow in the darkness (Ruby). While this tale is certainly concerning, it isn’t confirmed as true in the pokédex, so we need to take it with a grain of salt. Are people afraid of sableyes because they actually have sinister intentions to humans, or are people afraid of them because of how unknown they are as rare, bizarre creatures? The jury is still out.
What the jury isn’t out on, however, is that sableyes can be pretty formidable foes. While they aren’t known to engage in battle often, aside from (mostly unsuccessfully) hunting carbinks for their gems (Sun), sableyes can use an interesting mix of physical and ranged attacks to fend off foes. Ghost-type moves like Night Shade and Shadow Ball make use of the supernatural to harm you in ways we don’t fully understand, while moves like Shadow Claw and Foul Play hurt you in a much more tangible way. Given their size and timid demeanor, it isn’t exceptionally likely that a sableye will try to harm you by attacking, but given their lack of socialization with humans this risk is always present. Plus there’s the factor that, if the folk tales are true, they could steal your spirit just by looking at you. I’m going to assume that’s not great.
While other ghost-type pokémon struggle in the ranking due to an outright malice towards humans or an indescribably power, sableyes score a C rank mostly for their low ease-of-care. Providing a pokémon that is used to scavenging for raw gems deep underground with a home adapted for their needs will be difficult and costly. Add in their latent power to do some serious damage if they want to, and you have the recipe for a pet that should only be handled by someone experienced with pokémon with similar lifestyles.

One of many things I have been figuring out is how different Kingdoms might handle their legends about monsters, since Grimm would be intrinsically linked to concepts like folklore and fairytales of this land, having been there for as long as humanity remembers.
Would creatures of Grimm replace the traditional monsters in the stories? Would there be cryptid creatures of Grimm whose existence hasn't been confirmed but lone Huntsmen would swear they exist?
One thing I've decided is that this version of Remnant would contain many sightings and stories of Grimm that could be considered apocryphal—types of creatures never scientifically confirmed to even exist. Over the years, Huntsmen and civilians alike would have shared rumors, written entire books, etc, about the experiences that nobody can confirm having happened.
The important aspect, however, is how contradictory and ambiguous legends and rumors can be.
For example, one such piece of literature is "Die Wilde Jagd" (The Wild Hunt)—an autobiographical book by one of Vale's Huntsmen centuries ago, where he chronicles his journeys chasing after a folk legend, gathering tales, as well as chronicling encounters that he claims have happened. As the book is old old, it's impossible to confirm or deny the authenticity of what the author wrote about—he could have actually faced those creatures, he could have embellished confrontations with "usual" Grimm, or he could have thought all of the stories up while drunk in some wayside tavern.
Let's say characters come upon something they do not understand—more literature-focused ones would know the stories they would have read or at least heard about, but how do they know any of that information is "useful" or fit? They can only guess.
One of my pet peeves with the show will always be how MilesWBY era handled one of its better ideas, The Apathy—it's just too neat of a conclusion that takes away any mystique of this creepy and unique and weird type of creature of Grimm—they are built up as a threat, and then Ruby plot-eyes them, and it's all solved without any doubt. Meanwhile, for me, that threat was always something that felt like it shouldn't have neatly "concluded"—a threat where the characters should have been left guessing if they had defeated the Apathy or if these things are still out there and that maybe there's no real way to "defeat" them, that some things in this world just are and should be avoided at all costs. And then the show doubled down on that by having Ruby randomly be able to defeat one of the Goliaths.
Neatly defeating strongest creatures of Grimm as a threat doesn't work. Some of the STRONGEST moments of the early RWBY that are stuck in my mind are when Ruby first sees the Goliaths and then in V3 when that thing bursts out of the mountain. The show pulls back a curtain and shows just how much unknown there is in the world and how out of their depth humanity might be.
It's important to leave ambiguity AND uncertainty in the concept behind The Creatures of Grimm. It's supposed to be an endless, eternal, ever-changing, ever-evolving threat that has always been there and will likely always be there.
And tying that into the bigger theme of how ambiguous, twisted, and incomplete myths and legends of the world are just makes sense. Even in the show, it would have made more sense to do that if Salem's very existence was supposed to be this big secret that would have thrown the population into chaos when revealed.

ELLIL

The History of the Continent
Ellil is just one of the many parallel worlds that coexist with Earth (also known here as Ashatra). This place is settled by humanoid creatures — a race of people who call themselves Ellilians.
The distinctive features of this race are elongated ears, a variety of unusual hair, skin and eye colors, long life expectancy, as well as natural possession of magical abilities.
Tumblr media
The Origins
The history of Ellil`s creation is shrouded in mystery. However, in ancient scrolls that shed light on the era of Origin, one can find mention of the almighty God Dorotheus. His flesh was filled with powerful energy, and the entire continent had been under his wise watch since the beginning of time.
The children of almighty God, being in eternal conflicts among themselves, could not achieve harmony in their relationships. Dorotheus was deeply afraid that after his passing, young and ambitious descendants would destroy the lands of Ellil as they fight to resolve their rivalry. That is why Dorotheus decided that the entire continent and his powers should be inherited only by the most worthy of the Twelve Descendants.
In an effort to please their father, all Twelve Descendants presented him with gifts capable of satisfying even the most demanding ruler. Some gave precious stones, in the shimmer of which lurked a myriad of dreams and secrets of unknown worlds. Some called charming maidens who promised endless bliss in their arms and peace of mind. And some even gathered whole armies, ready to face any danger in the name of their ruler.
Centuries passed, and the gifts, replacing each other, did not bring the desired success to the offspring of the powerful God. Each offering was filled with greatness, but they lacked both the sincerity and the prudence that were so vital for those who wish to carry the burden of power. Dorotheus still remained true to his beliefs, which his children could not grasp.
On one of the days of the offerings, when all Twelve Descendants were rejected by Dorotheus once again, they were overcome with despair. The children, unable to contain their anger, attacked their father, tearing his body apart, as if trying to separate a once united continent between themselves. It was only after they had satisfied their fury by eating Dorotheus' flesh that they gained the sacred power that was hidden in their father's body. According to ancient legends, this is how the people of Ellil gained a second heart, which pumps blood and spreads glow through their veins, allowing all of their descendants to use the gifts of the mighty Dorotheus.
Ascended to the rank of Gods, all Twelve Descendants split the continent among themselves. Thus came the Second era of Ellil — The Dawn.
Over the course of countless wars, alliances and intermixing of common folks that lasted for tens of thousands of years, various races were formed, whose representatives became the inhabitants of the New Era. Differences in religious beliefs led to the separation of Ellil into four main kingdoms: Aquamaris, Dolomite, Morion and Sunstone.
Later, Adularia arose.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Gods of Ellil
The Pantheon of Destruction:
The highest God of the Pantheon of Destruction, the God of Fire and War — Pyrope (Pyrope)
The Goddess of Thunder, Lightning and Retribution — Rauch (Smoky Quartz, also known as Rauchtopas)
The God of Luck and Curses — Tiger (Tiger's eye)
The Goddess of the Wildlife and Hunting — Ruben (Ruby)
The Pantheon of Preservation:
The highest Goddess of the Pantheon of Preservation, the Goddess of the Moon and Wisdom — Adill (Moonstone, also known as Adularia)
The God of the Sea and Winds — Marino (Aquamarine)
The God of Light, Peace and Mercy — Sycit (Variscite)
The God of Art and Science — Hite (Malachite)
The Pantheon of Creation:
The highest Goddess of the Pantheon of Creation, the Goddess of the Sun, Nature and Fecundity — Helio (Sunstone, also known as Heliolite)
The God of the Underworld — Onyx (Onyx)
The Goddess of the Family, Hearth and Matrimony — Argo (Aragonite)
The God of Love and Beauty — Rhoddy (Rhodolite)
The Glow
The magic of the Ellilians comes from the second heart, which pumps glow through their vessels. Glow is a recoverable resource that allows its owner to use magic abilities. Every Ellilian has their own limit on the use of glow, which can be increased with the help of some artifacts. If an Ellilian goes beyond their initial limits, they will risk developing a serious disease, which depends on the type of magic they were born with (healing powers threaten their users with loss of vitality., paralysis powers exposes the limbs to numbness, etc.) and in some cases can be fatal. It is believed that due to the direct connection with the Twelve Descendants, members of the royal families have much higher limits of glow than the average Ellilian.
The type of abilities is determined at birth and cannot be changed. It can also be specified by a magic trial.
Types of Magic
Destruction is an elemental type of magic suitable for combat and hunting. This type is easy to identify without testing magical abilities, and is also easy to study.
The elemental type of this magic is formed by birth and cannot be changed.
Types of elements:
Fire type
Water type
Earth type
Air type
Electric type
Ice type
Types of attack:
On area
Single-target attack
Preservation is a type of magic designed for area and self—defense. Almost all owners of this type can create barriers, but the possession of other abilities must be learned.
Types of barriers:
On area
Single-target protection
Types of attack:
Paralysis
Psychic type:
Illusion
Hypnosis(outlawed)
Creation is a type of healing magic (also used for torture in special cases). This type is extremely difficult to master independently, and the teaching materials for this magic are beyond the reach of ordinary Ellilian.
The Creation type of magic is not capable of resurrecting a dead being under any circumstances.
Creation magic used in:
Body scan (search for internal injuries, pregnancy detection, etc.)
Healing of minor injuries (scratches, bruises, etc.)
Healing of severe injuries (deep wounds, burns, fractures, internal bleeding, etc.)
Replantation (after such a procedure, a scar remains)
Neutralizing the paralysis of Preservation magic
Rejuvenation (a newly discovered type of Creation magic from Sunstone)
There are many specialized educational institutions for magical education — both for the upper class of the population and for ordinary Ellilians.
In the rarest cases, Ellilians can form a special magic that cannot be classified as the main types. The chances of its occurrence is very small — this is an extremely rare phenomenon. Special types of magic have not yet been thoroughly studied.
At the moment, there is the only known type of special magic, and this is the opening of interdimensional portals. Only one person in all of Ellil has such power — the mother of Adularia. This type of magic is passed on to the lineal heir and is used to open a portal to the lands of Ashatra.

Chapter 8: To Blend In
Summary: Sephiroth learns that he has a child, a lab made specimen existing under the same terrible conditions he was raised in. In a moment of pure rage, he rescues his child. However, his fate has long been sealed, but the child’s fate is unknown.
Never did he expect the cadet that killed him to take responsibility for the heir of His planet.
Inspired by various asks to @rottenpumpkin13
Please enjoy.
Chapter 8: To Blend In
Monsters stirred with the returning rays of the sun. The stars once so captivating vanished in the pink glow. Puffy white clouds and the occasional helicopter decorated the sky.
With their new inventory, Sephiroth worried with every battle. A tote bag meant for carrying groceries wasn't designed for the force required to slay even the simplest of beasts. His arm was already occupied with his daughter. He couldn't afford to lose both arms and still collect resources.
He made a decision on their way to the swamp.
Before battling even the simplest creatures, he placed his daughter down with the single goal of protecting their belongings. She nodded, and he'd fetch the only valuables from the basic fiends.
He constantly found her and her sword missing. She followed owls. She found rusted remains of Republic weapons. She invaded bunny burrows, collecting raw rubies, emeralds, and valuables the creatures seemed to be drawn to. She never strayed far, but gods did she stray.
“Seraphina, why can't you stay with our belongings?” He picked her dirty self up from the burrow and headed back to collect their bag.
She stared.
“Why won't you stay still?”
Again, staring. No real response.
Perhaps he hit the limit of her understanding. He sighed, adjusting his grip and placing her sword back with their things.
“...Dada…”
“Yes?”
Seraphina hugged his neck. “Sorry…”
Everything he learned about her made him want to run back to Midgar and impale Hojo through the heart if only to mimic the pain he felt in his own. He paused and rubbed her back soothingly. “It's okay. Just be careful.”
The baby melted against his shoulder, the dirt from her hair rubbing against his neck.
He hoped they could bathe when they made it to the Junon Region.
With the changing species of trees and nearly suffocating humidity in the air, they finally entered the swamp. He followed the path to an old boat house, his daughter turning and looking around. He couldn't imagine what was running through her mind, the information she absorbed and the incredible rate she understood things.
Seraphina pointed ahead and turned to her father in question.
“A boat house. Where people store and dock boats. We need one to cross the marsh.”
“Boat… house…” she spoke slowly.
“That's correct.” He adjusted his grip and walked around the house to the dock that waited on the other side.
But no one was there. The wooden dock held the beginning patterns of deterioration and mold, though strong planks remained intact. Not a single vessel floated in the murky water.
The former soldier broke the lock to the house, but no boats remained. No tools, no floatable vessels. Perhaps he could build a raft from a section of walls?
“Dada?”
But he couldn't risk anything happening to her. “What is it?”
She pointed to the open door. He stared for a moment. She pointed again, stricter, staccato. He followed her direction, leaving through the door. He followed it to a bolted sign on the side of the building.
Midgar Zolom. Mating season. Boating no longer an option. A chocobo ranch nearby. Sephiroth skimmed everything important from the pristine posting.
If he couldn't swim with the threat of monsters combined with the need to protect his daughter, he had no option but to obey.
“Good job, Seraphina.” He looked at her, trying to take the advice of the book. “We're going to see chocobos again.”
Seraphina lit up. “Chocobo?”
He nodded. At least it gave them the chance to sell the spoils of battle and dig. Maybe even gain enough Gil for a single tent. Maybe his daughter wouldn't have to sleep in his arms to be safe.
Sephiroth turned from the dock and headed back through the forest. With daylight more than upon them, Sephiroth took to as many shadows as he could. Of course shadows in the Grasslands wasn't easy to find.
At the edge of the treeline, he lowered their bag and his daughter to the ground. He removed his uniform coat and dawned the hoodie. He grabbed the removed tail of black leather, soaking a corner of the inner lining with a water spell.
“Seraphina, come here.”
She stood and moved closer to him.
He carefully wiped down her face, her hands, and her clothing. It didn't matter if he was dirty, but people would remember a dirty baby. Maybe the ranchers would mistake her filthiness for playing. Maybe they would forgive them since they lacked a vehicle.
Once finished, he lifted her, their inventory, and his hood. He walked the main road slowly. It made more sense for a normal traveler to do so. With such flat land and the lack of tall flora, anyone could spot them. He prayed they just blended in.
He didn't hear any helicopters until they reached the ranch.
“Well howdy!”
Sephiroth’s eyes immediately landed on the dark haired man in a straw hat that called them. “Hello.”
“Welcome to Chocobo Bill's chocobo ranch! Where we have all the birds you need. I'm Chocobo Bill. What can I do you for?”
“Chocobo!”
Sephiroth's eyes widened for a fraction of a second. He held his daughter closer and whispered softly, “Be good for the rancher.”
Seraphina silenced. Thank gods her eyes were already closed.
The rancher gave a hearty laugh. “Well I'll be! Look at how fast that little one's learnin’! Is she a fellow bird lover?”
“She likes the feathers.” He deliberately looked down. “We're trying to get past the marsh. We saw your sign.”
The rancher cringed a bit. “I can get ya a bird, but the marsh is dangerous this year. Zolom's mate every five years and they're especially nasty critters until it's over. You sure ya can't wait a few weeks? I can get ya a place to stay if ya need it.”
“It's urgent. Any advice?”
“To handle them?” Bill thought for a moment. “Well, if there ain't no stopping you, keep it down and look out for movement in the water. I promise, any running water ain't natural in there.”
Sephiroth nodded. “Understood. How much?”
“Our best girl's three thousand Gil.”
His heart dropped.
“That comes with a baby basket. If ya get knocked down, I promise our birds will get ya kid back safely. Zolom's don't prefer Chocobo meat.”
“Is there any shop nearby?”
“Well, you're lookin’ at the ranch and store owner.” Chocobo Bill tipped his hat. “Pleasure meetin’ ya. Let me take ya to the stables.”
Sephiroth nodded and followed, entering the fowl smelling structure full of ‘warks’ and squeaks. He approached the counter, placing the five raw gems in a line.
The owner counted and punched numbers into a calculator. He suddenly backed off. “Hold on there, sonny.” He inserted a combination and opened the cash register, quickly counting a few slips. “Damn. You've got quite the haul. I'm afraid we can't reimburse you. It's a tough season, ya know?”
“How much for the chocobo?”
Bill took three of the rocks.
Sephiroth stared for a moment. He pushed one remaining gem forward and returned the other to their bag. “For your silence then. If anyone asks, you did not see anyone here today.”
He held up his hands. “I can't do that. That's cheatin’ a customer!”
“You're already doing us a great kindness. Please.”
The owner hesitated.
Sephiroth readied to run, but the man took the rocks and locked them inside the counter.
“I know it ain't my business, but whatever y'all up to, you take care of that kid, ya hear?”
“Without question.”
Chocobo Bill lead them to a chocobo of their own: a bright yellow bird named Fauna. He reassured this was one of the best birds in the ranch, and the best swimmer to get out of the swamp come any issue with Zoloms.
Sephiroth couldn't thank him enough.
The owner fetched a pink and blue pastel headdress. The bird lowered her head for the straps and ribbons to be attached. The man tested the strength of a few knots before inserting a cushioned basket near the base of the neck. He smacked it twice. “This bad boy isn't going anywhere.”
“Thank you.” Sephiroth delicately lifted his daughter and placed her inside the basket. He hopped up onto the saddle.
“Be very careful. Good luck.”
The soldier nodded one last time before riding off. With the owners warning, he refused to take the main road back to the swamp. He needed to seem like a normal traveler. How was he supposed to do that without Shinra's notice if they needed to get away from Midgar and Junon?
That was right. This entire continent would never be safe for them.
“Seraphina, are you comfortable?”
She opened her eyes and nodded.
“When we get to the swamp, you have to be very quiet. Not a single sound.”
“Dada?”
“Yes?”
She sat up and tried to reach out of the deep basket, but she couldn't accomplish her goal.
“Before we go into the mines, I'll let you pet her, okay?”
She stared.
Sephiroth gently brushed his hand along her short hair three times. “That's petting.”
“...Pet…?”
“Yes.”
She nodded and laid back down.
It was terrifying how fast she understood. It was terrifying how much obedience Hojo drilled into her. He hated these circling thoughts, but he couldn't help his disgust from resurfacing.
He had to focus on the marsh. He tied their supplies to the headdress and the basket.
The chocobo walked straight into the water, its casual swimming the same speed as its normal walking. Frogs croaked and bugs sung sharply. Concentrated ripples on the surface were either insects landing for a drink or fish snapping for a quick bite. Trees seemed visibly dead, but with life teeming in every direction, perhaps that was only a result of the dry season.
The chocobo took all island shortcuts, transitioning flawlessly from water to surface. She seemed to know the way, barely taking Sephiroth's direction as she moved to the next set of rocks.
Sephiroth yanked the reigns and the bird stopped her charge, treading water.
Rocks did not wait ahead. The pattern was too perfect. The coil was too precise. The spikes of the edge did not hide within.
He turned the chocobo around, but between them and the desolate island churned a thick channel of water. He led the chocobo to the far cliffs, reaching into the bag and handing the tiny sword to his child. He didn't expect her to use it, but it made him feel safer.
He knew the chocobo couldn't tread water forever.
Seraphina stared at her father, her eyes wide as she gripped the sword tightly.
“Just to be safe,” Sephiroth whispered.
She stood up, holding the edge of the shoulder level basket.
“Stay inside. I'll be right back.”
She nodded her head of starry hair.
He gave her two head pats before diving into the water. He heard the surprised wark before swimming to the patterned island. His coat dripped onto the scales as he held an ice spell in his hand.
The island coiled and launched him into the air. The island dove into the marsh and followed the silver soldier with venomous fangs spread.
Sephiroth expelled the ice and knocked the Zolom's head to the side. He slid down its scales to the shallow land below the waterline.
Its head came down and nearly slammed into him, but he hopped out of the way and avoided the failed sneak strike of the tail. He landed another blast of shards in its face. It hissed at him.
Good. He needed to anger it. Every attack aimed, he dodged. Every whip of the tail or snap of fangs.
The colossal monster hissed, glowing crimson rippling from its body to the marsh. Sephiroth immediately landed in one of the many dead trees.
But the red of impending attack enraptured the chocobo and his daughter.
He launched down, surrounding the chocobo in a frozen wall, but he was too late. The fire spell rippled through the ground and everything in its path.
The chocobo yelped in pain. His daughter gave the tiniest shout.
The churning channel shattered through the surface, revealing a slightly greener Zolom locked onto the chocobo. The bird tried to swim, but the massive tail blocked the only path to safety.
The creature pounced, venomous fangs trapping the chocobo.
His daughter- His Daughter-
Masamune appeared in Sephiroth's hand before he could think. He had to protect her.

"Voice Log #1. Species Analysis."
Tumblr media
"This would be Biology Researcher [DATA EXPUNGED]. I usually do written out documents on paper; However, HQ has commanded me to do a digital version of this. I don't know neither understand the reasoning of such. But here we are."
"Well, let's see. . ."
(The sounds of folding paper can be heard. As long as the wheels of a wheelchair moving around. The Researcher Grunts. Struggling to find the small script they made for this occasion. Its not much. But it should please HQ for Whatever Reason they Need this for. The Researcher finds the paper. Making his way back over to the voice recorder)
"Ah; Here we go."
"This Document; If you can even call it that; Will be covering the Species Aureum Angullia. More Widely know by Corporate and The Public as Goldens. These Deep-to-Shallow Water Amphibians can vary in size, being able to be found basically everywhere. Only not being found in places where most species wouldn't go. Such as the Poles due to its temperature."
"Commonly refereed as Pests. These Creatures have the ability to travel Ground and Water at a quick pace. With Agility we still don't understand how it can be achieved. "This species is highly regarded for its intelligence; Having a Human-Level of Such. Being able to make tools out of metal. Commonly with Gold, Therefor their name. Even if different materials have been seen used. Such as Ruby. A problem arrives with this Species high regard for Stealing from Human Supplies. Which was something that very rarely happened before Subject 'Aureum Angullia Deus' had appeared. After such. Their society saw rapid growth. And therefor. Made Allies with Graveyard and Fallen Kingdom. Which caused a enormous spike in violence between Humans and Them. And are now regarded as one of the most powerful Enemy Factions we have to Deal with."
"Hmmph. So, This species has a range of different traits that differ a lot from most found in the oceans. With its Closest Relative Species being assumed to being Ambystoma Mexicanum; The Axolotl. Having the same Frilled structure in the sides of their head and neck. Having the same sensitive skin. These frills are used for communication and feeling differences in the environment. One of the components for it being able to 'see' without eyes. The other being the Luminescent Stripes it has on its body. These stripes not only serve for baiting potential Prey into approaching it. But can also be used for communication. Being able to reproduce vibrations; Which is unknown how; Of various different Creatures, Even Human Speech. They also seem to have small globes placed around the structure. Serving as small eyes."
(The Researcher gives a deep breath. Flipping a page.)
"Next to cover would be its Mouth; Closely resembling that of plant petals. Demogorgon Copycat. Being able to open all the way to 90 Degrees from its original position. There are four bigger teeth formations at the front. Having blunt, more resistant teeth at the front used for digging and chewing and hard shells of small animals like crustaceans. And Three sharper teeth used for cutting flesh and holding bigger prey in place. Which they use to make the prey struggle in their mouth and end up impaling themselves onto the rows of smaller teeth to slowly bleed the prey out. Even if most cases. Such slow and painful death is rare to happen. As mostly they will impale the prey in the neck or vital organ using its tongue. Its tongue is a around the same as their body size. being able to be fully moved, like a Elephants trunk. Having four tentacle-like structures at the end with sharp, almost harpoon like tip. These smaller tentacles are as capable as the tongue itself. being able to effectively grab and move things. This tongue seems to have a mechanism at the back of the mouth which is used like a ballista. Being able to shoot the tongue at an impressive 25km/hr."
"What else. . . Ah yes."
"It also has a Claw besides its body. These are connected to the body by a appendage that can retract into its own body, having a quite agile speed for doing so. These Claws are quite simple in nature. Used for moving around in the ground, digging and impaling prey."
"And that would be most of the information we currently have. So that would be all I have to say about this Species. I will probably make a document on the different types later on. But for now. This is it. End Log."

The Void Rains Upon Her Heart: Guardians
Another monster type: this time the Guardians. As usual, this is the surface level lore aimed at allowing non-players to understand the universe a little in case of multifandom RP or something, not a deep dive, and I'll use [] when I'm citing an in-game source.
Guardians are associated with Red Tetrids, the tetrids of Frustration. From our Tetrid-Memory-based overview, we learn that Guardians are mutated versions of the planet's wildlife. They're always much larger, and every species has at least one. They guard specific areas for unknown reasons, thus the name [Two Red Bonus Gift]. The areas they guard are referred to as Guardian Zones, and they head straight for the nearest zone as soon as they start mutating, overriding their species' "usual habits and instincts" [Three Red Bonus Gift].
They're one of the three monster types that lacks a "Zaranoid" form, and will look the same when conversing with the player as they do in battle, besides that Roundsaw takes her sawblade off [Wrath of Roundsaw Event: My Notes].
This might be approaching deep lore, but just to have one other thing to say in general besides "they are big creatures" I want to bring up the "newborn" Guardian monster, Guardian Soul. Newborn monsters are always some hazy shape in the color of the monster's symbol, which is also their Tetrid-association. The "My Notes" on Guardian Soul indicate she's incorporeal, and is looking for a place to fit in, after having "been born lost and angry". Her Burden says "Where should I go? Why am I asking that? I need to go somewhere? But where do I need to go? And why?" while her Blessing says "This feeling… I need to go protect something. Why does it need to be protected? And why do I have to do it? Because, I am the only one who can." It seems to me like the mutations Guardians undergo may not be random genetics in action, but perhaps a result of fusing together with a spirit that feels a duty to guard somewhere, although I cannot cite anything in game that says this is definitely the case.
I guess while I'm on the subject of unusual Guardian monsters, Ruby, who is actually made of Tetrid motes and is only an honorary Guardian [Ruby: My Notes], has this to say about Frustration and its opposite: Burden: So this is the feeling of frustration? It feels very painful, but it can also be used as a fuel to take action and change the situation. So long as it's kept under control Be very careful with this one. Blessing: So this is the feeling of content? This is a wonderful feeling. It is the feeling of having everything you could ever hope for. At least for a moment. Many others have so much more than you, and yet they still can't feel this. You are very lucky.
For regular representatives of Guardians, I've selected Lila and Roundsaw.
Lila is an "avioc", a species that can be described as eyeballs with bat wings. She's very shy and easily spooked, but likes sweet fruit and can be befriended with some [Lila: My Notes]. She also has bad days where she's even more shy [Shy Lila: My Notes]. If I recall her event properly, Orange Tetrids taste like sweet fruit to her, so they're her favorite.
Roundsaw is a "meerstalk", which is a segmented reptile that lives all throughout The Pit [Saw Bloom Power Gift]. "She uses this rare and dangerous flower as a weapon and has quite the temper", which is why they call her Roundsaw [still the Saw Bloom Power Gift] "A severe lack of affection has caused her to explode into fits of rage" [Roundsaw: My Notes]. Fortunately, as mentioned earlier since she's the only Guardian I'm aware of to change appearance during events, she will put the saw bloom away and can be hugged once loved in the dreamscape.
Other guardians include a couple 4-legged mites, a spiky sandworm, a spiky lavaworm, and a tall plant. Maybe I should've discussed one of the mites considering the green one, Rendy, is basically a mascot for the game. Oh well, let's get some screenshots in here and call it a post.
Lila (What a cutie! So small it's easy to drop your combo if you move too much.)

Roundsaw (So fierce! That saw does extreme damage!)

Guardian Soul (Can't be touched! Still deals contact damage in dreams!)
