I actually had a bit of a time trying to do these, both for similar but different reasons.

Vil was a little difficult to fill this out for because I actually haven't gotten to Book 5 yet, so I'm stuck basing my opinions off of info from here on the good ole hellsite and shitposty videos on yt. My opinions on Vil may be subject to change later on if I get a chance to look at his arc myself, but this is what I have for right now.

As for Box Ghost, it's been a hot minute since I watched DP so I don't remember much on him anymore. I don't think I ever had very strong feelings about the guy, but I like him well enough.

I used the same canvas in my drawing app (ibis paint) to make both of these so I threw in an overlap version for shits and giggles lmao

UHH the gist of it is that the difference between DF and StC is complicated. There is no clear "good" or "bad" afterlife for the Clans, the cats just happen to think that. it's as good or as bad as you, or the other residents, make it out to be. depending on how i explore this, there might be levels to StC and the DF "You said that Duskfur and Podlight don't like children. Why?" they're assholes. this one is more rambly, but duskfur really used to be an asshole. her character was just changed midway through the arc bc idk fuck her. i liked that duskfur couldn't fully accept what Curlfeather did, but i wished it was rooted in selfishness bc that's who Duskfur used to be. selfish, proud, and combative. she loves both of her children, but in my AU, Duskfur used to be a rogue before joining RiverClan under Tigerstar and Leopardstar (Tigerstar's ideology comes from a massive hypocrite in Thistleclaw), possibly sometime after during reconstruction and grave digging, since more cats are executed and/or die. timeline is still being figured out, but Curlfeather and Podlight will already been apprentice-aged when they joined RiverClan with Duskfur, possibly just above five moons, so a survivalist mindset comes first. while Curlfeather manages to expand her views (somewhat), Podlight is still a selfish character, and so is Duskfur since she keeps her rough edges from her time as a rogue. i feel like this is explained REALLY poorly so i'll probably have to make another post if you didn't understand what i meant "Is every character getting a name change?" no. a lot of characters keep their names like Lionheart, Redtail, Tigerclaw, etc. Bluefur might get changed to Blueflower after a bluebell (plant symbolism we love it). I'm currently working on TC's territory, but bluebells are most likely rare in their territory, so the name is a blessing of sorts in Tawnyspots' eyes (he changed their names). Bluemoon is a good name I see around, but I decided to give the -moon suffix to Snowfur instead. not only is Snowmoon a good name, but Snowmoon and Blueflower obviously make Moonflower together. both sisters come to this conclusion, and it takes a toll of both of their mental health, Blueflower moreso than Snowmoon. their names are part of a legacy, a melancholy, and so are they as beings, and they don't even realize it. they realize their mother's name within theirs, and they try to live up to it. Snowfur wasn't a saint in the books, and Snowmoon won't be either. yet again, this deserves a post of its own. i should make a list OH YEAH BEFORE I FORGET, some characters will be getting an appearance change because i decided to make the trees semi-genetically accurate. clearly i hate myself
