Why is this the case? - 💥 Following a workout, our bodies typically consume extra oxygen (EPOC effect) as we need to spend additional energy to support recovery from training. With this in mind, different types of exercise can have a different EPOC effect. - 💥 As this study shows, both resistance training and interval training have a greater EPOC effect than traditional cardio training. Why? Both types of exercise are likely going to impose a greater recovery demand! It's worth keeping in mind, though, that this effect will only account for about 250-calories throughout a 12-hour period. I live the dance 💃 at the end. I gave options & you picked Deadlifts instead of cleans and smashed it 💣🔥 —> HMR#121 - Full Body 475 Reps & Tabata Cardio Holy mother!!! I don’t know what was more challenging the weighted rep sections or those horrid Tabata rounds!!! Lol 🔥🔥🔥😩😩😂❤️❤️ Loaded up my deadlift bar to 81kgs (178.5lb) - yep felt those!! 💪🏼💪🏼🔥🔥 BodyRock bar loaded up to 30lb per side. And Sandbag had approx 20kgs. 20kg kB for swings & goblets. Lisa, I felt like a freakin badass and couldn’t help myself but dance at the end!!! Damn we are getting strong!!! A lot can change on the outside when you start learn how to start taking care of your inside.💗😇 - I used to look in the mirror with so much shame & disgust. I remember crying about not finding a homecoming dress that would fit right. Hoping that one day, I’d figure it out. Or maybe have enough money to hire someone else to help figure it out???? - Little did I know...that literally $160 was all it took to change my health, & that would lead to changing my life. - That time spent staring in the mirror could be spent doing a workout & those workouts added up over a week or a month would help teach me how STRONG I truly was. And how confident that I could be. Yes the pounds fell off, but as that happened I learned about hardwork & discipline. Setting a goal & learning how to hit it. Step by each small step. Keeping the faith, trusting the process. - I used to run because it would burn the most calories in the LEAST amount of time. But that’s because I didn’t know how long this journey would be. It wasn’t about a destination. It was about the JOURNEY. & nobody tells you that. So ENJOYING that journey wasn’t really my focus. (But trying to find the fastest & easiest way out of things- doesnt really ever work.) so I had to learn the hard way. - Until I found a community & a consistent routine that could be FUN & a meal plan that allowed me to treat myself every once in awhile rather than starve & binge over and over.💗💪🏽 - Planning my “fall into wellness” group for October & it’s getting me SO pumped to share this lifestyle with so many of you. Hey guys, Happy Thursday! I've been taking a social media break lately so I haven't been on here much lately. I'll be popping in and out every once in a while. Just wanted to check in and say hi. 👋 . Tonight i whipped up some healthful teriyaki veggie stir fry. I cooked kale, broccoli, carrots, 🥕 sugar snap peas, and Brussels sprouts in olive oil. Then when the veggies were crisp-tender I added a little teriyaki sauce. 🥘 . Even though I've never been a fan of Brussel sprouts, I have to say this was super yummy. I could barely taste them at all, ha. 😉 . I lasted on Whole 30 for one week. Hahahaha. I am now doing a modified version. Still gluten, dairy, and booze free, plus eating really well, but my body just needed some carbs (a bit of rice) for my big workout days. With just adding a bit of carbs I ran my final intervals 2 min a mile faster than I did without. And let me be honest, as much as I know I need to lose this weight, if I had to choose between being skinny and being a stronger runner... well you all know what side I'd be on. #Whole30 #hypothyroidism #hypothyroidismweightloss #marathontraining #StrongOverSkinny
