Top Femslash Ships Bracket: Seeding
As promised, we're back with a new bracket! However, we're doing things a little differently this time. Rather than taking the data for seeding directly from a ranked list, we want you guys to be a part of the seeding process!
> Here is the Femslash Bracket Seeding Survey! <
This survey contains a list of over 100 ships, pulled from centreoftheselights's AO3 ship stats for 2023 and 2024, and Tumblr's year in review, as well as a few submissions that are not on either list but are considered iconic or historically important. It asks two questions: which ships have you heard of, and which ships do you view positively? The final seeding for the bracket will be based on a ratio of these numbers, from which we will rank the top 96!
A few notes regarding this survey:
Please answer as honestly as you can! Yes, that does mean going through a long list of ships twice in order to check all the relevant boxes, but such is the price we pay for accurate data.
Please only submit the survey once! While we normally delight in voter fraud, artificially boosting your favorite ship in this survey will only skew the results with no benefit; in fact, it could potentially hurt your chances in the actual bracket!
Do, however, feel free to reblog this post so we get a larger sample size.
The form does require that you be logged into a Google account; however, we are not collecting email addresses, and responses will be fully anonymous.
As always, this poll is a celebration of fandom and fandom history; we're aware that there are certain issues with many of the listed pairings and sources, but they are a part of that history. Please do not take this as an endorsement, and refrain from harassment.
We will be collecting responses until December 22, at 11:59 pm EST.
Take the survey here!

I erased the names because I'd rather not bring other people into this drama, but at the very core it is indeed the case, anon.
I have been notified through a mutual's post and later by an anonymous ask that a popular writer in the yandere sphere has problematic views. Said writer has since blocked me, so I thank them for cooperating. Now, listen, I don't like calling people out and I despise petty conflict, but I do have a Balkan temper and some things upset me to the point where I'm not ashamed of speaking up.
This person is openly admitting to and explicitly warning that they do not condone LGBTQ+ content, as well as fat and/or POC readers. The fact that these paragraphs exist for everyone to read is frankly insane to me, and I feel sorry for everyone who interacted with their content who isn't short, petite, pale-skinned and submissive. It's one thing to only write within your comfort zone, but there's a much more diplomatic language to use if that's the case.
If I sat across from someone who told me "we respect everyone as human beings, but that doesn't mean we condone their actions", and said actions were literally just existing while being queer, I would drop the table on their head. It is what it is, I said what I said. You are free to disagree with me, but I will not change my mind.

For much of living memory, the United States has been a global leader of scientific research and innovation. From the polio vaccine, to decoding the first human chromosome, to the first heart bypass surgery, American research has originated a seemingly endless list of health care advances that are taken for granted.
But when the Trump administration issued a memorandum Monday that paused all federal grants and loans—with the aim of ensuring that funding recipients are complying with the president’s raft of recent executive orders—US academia ground to a halt. Since then, the freeze has been partially rescinded for some sectors, but it largely remains in place for universities and research institutions across the country, with no certainty of what comes next.
“This has immediate impact on people’s lives,” says J9 Austin, professor of psychiatry and medical genetics at the University of British Columbia. “And it’s terrifying.”
The funding freeze requires agencies to submit reviews of their funded programs to the Office of Management and Budget by February 10. The freeze follows separate orders issued last week to US health agencies—including to the National Institutes of Health, which leads the country’s medical research—to pause all communications until February 1 and stop almost all travel indefinitely.
The confusion is consummate. If the funding freeze continues through February, and even beyond, how will graduate students be paid? Should grant applications—years long in the writing—still be submitted by the triannual grant submission deadline on February 5? What does this mean for clinical trials if participants and lab techs can’t be paid? Will all that research have to be scrapped thanks to incomplete data?
Even if Trump fully reverses the freeze on research funding, the damage, multiple sources say, has been done. Although for now the funding freeze is temporary, the administration has shown how it might wield the levers of government. The implication is that withdrawing funding could be done more permanently, and could be done to individual institutions, individual organizations, both private and public. This won’t just set a precedent for the large East Coast or West Coast universities, but those located in both red and blue states alike.
While always an imperfect arrangement, science in the US is largely funded by a complex system of grant applications, reviews by peers in the field (both of which have had to be halted as part of the communications pause), and the competitive distribution of NIH funds, says Gerald Keusch, emeritus professor of medicine at Boston University and former associate director of international research for the NIH. According to its website, the NIH disburses nearly $48 billion in grants per year.
When it comes to medical research, America truly is first, and if it abdicates that position, the void left behind has global ramifications. “In Canada, we have always looked to NIH as an exemplar of what we should be trying to do,” says Austin, speaking to me independently of any roles and affiliations. “Now, that’s collapsed.”
Science is, in its very nature, collaborative. Many consortiums and alliances within scientific fields cross borders and language barriers. Some labs may be able to find additional funding from alternative sources such as the European Union. But it is unlikely that a continued withdrawal of NIH funding could be plugged by overseas support. And Big Pharma, with its seemingly endless funds, is unlikely to step up either, according to sources WIRED spoke with.
“This can’t be handed off to drug companies or biotech, because they’re not interested in things that are as preclinical as a lot of the work we’re discussing here,” says a professor of genetics who agreed to speak anonymously out of fear of retribution. “Essentially, there’s a whole legion of university-based scientists who work super damn hard to try to figure out some basic stuff that eventually becomes something that a drug company can drop $100 million on.”
The millions of dollars awarded to high-achieving labs is used to fund graduate students, lab techs, and analysts. If the principal investigator on a research team is unsuccessful in obtaining a grant through the process Keusch describes, often that lab is closed, and those ancillary team members lose their jobs.
One of the potential downstream effects of an NIH funding loss, even if only temporary, is a mass domestic brain drain. “Many of those people are going to go out to find something else to do,” the professor of genetics says. “These are just like jobs for anything else—we can’t not pay people for a month. What would the food service industry be like, for example, or grocery stores, if they don’t pay somebody for a month? Their workers will leave, and pharma can only hire so many people.”
WIRED heard over and over, from scientists too fearful for their teams and their jobs to speak on the record, that it won’t take long for the impact to reach the general population. With a loss of research funding comes the closure of hospitals and universities. And gains in medical advancement will likely falter too.
Conditions being studied with NIH funding are not only rare diseases affecting 1 or 2 percent of the population. They’re problems such as cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s—issues that affect your grandmother, your friends, and so many people who will one day fall out of perfect health. It’s thanks to this research system, and the scientists working within it, that doctors know how to save someone from a heart attack, regulate diabetes, lower cholesterol, and reduce the risk of stroke. It’s how the world knows that smoking isn’t a good idea. “All of that is knowledge that scientists funded by the NIH have generated, and if you throw this big of a wrench in it, it’s going to disrupt absolutely everything,” says the genetics professor.
While some are hopeful that the funding freeze for academia could end on February 1, when the pause on communications and therefore grant reviews is slated to lift, the individuals WIRED spoke with are largely skeptical that work will simply resume as before.
“When the wheels of government stop, it’s not like they turn on a dime and they just start up again,” says Julie Scofield, a former executive director of NASTAD, a US-based health nonprofit. She adds that she has colleagues in Washington, DC, who have had funding returned to their fields, and yet remain unable to access payment through the management system.
Austin says that already the international scientific community is holding hastily arranged online support groups. Topics covered range from the banal—what the most recent communication from the White House implies—to how best to protect trainees and the many students on international visas. But mostly they’re there to provide support.
“I’ve had a lot of messages from people just expressing gratitude that we could actually get together,” Austin says. “There’s just so much unaddressable need. None of us has the answers.”
Scientists, perhaps more than any other profession, are trained to “learn and validate conclusions drawn from observation and experimentation,” says Keutsch. That applies to the current situation. And what they observe during this pause of chaos does not portend well for the future of the United States as a pinnacle of scientific excellence.
“If people want the United States to head toward being a second-class nation, this is exactly what to do. If the goal is, in fact, to make America great, this is not a way to do it,” says the genetics professor. “This is not a rational, thoughtful, effective thing to do. It will merely destroy.”
This story has been written under a pseudonym, as the reporter has specific and credible concerns about potential retaliation.

Exciting news about a new Wenclair fanfiction (trilogy) + excerpt
Hi guys, so I have some fun news - basically, I’ve been working on (with the help of some friends for brainstorming) a new idea which will actually be a trilogy (3 fanfictions). Sounds super ambitious I KNOW - but writing a trilogy has always been a random goal of mine AND I really wanted something to help give me variety in terms of writing so that I’m not over relying on UTMR!
Essentially, this fanfiction is wenclair but I was inspired by SweetCC - so I essentially took aspects of Cairo Sweet & CC Walker and adapted them to fit Wednesday & Enid.
It’s an elite private school AU (non-supernatural) where Enid is the schools golden girl & soccer captain, but secretly writes as an outlet. Wednesday is a new transfer student who works for the literary journal, and when she discovers one of Enid’s works (which was misfiled) she becomes obsessed with it & Enid and forms an experiment on what limits she can push for Enid to invoke changes in her writing.
A really bad explanation so here’s the “official” premise (for the first fic at least):
When Wednesday Addams transfers to Lenore Institute, she isn’t searching for friendship - only psychological material. A misfiled, anonymous story full of controlled rage catches her attention, and its author - Enid Sinclair - seems an impossible match: adored, upbeat, nothing but smiles. Wednesday begins a quiet experiment in emotional sabotage, believing that unlocking aggression will sharpen the prose. But eventually, when one of her manipulations backfires, Wednesday finds herself drawn in - not as an investigator, but as something far more vulnerable. What began as a study becomes the source of her undoing.
So, below is an excerpt of the opening because why not - it’s not final-level polished and is around 900 words so be warned !
///
Truth lived in ink. It lived in places overlooked - underlined, crossed out, scrawled in margins. Truth didn’t perform. It muttered. It revealed itself when others were distracted. Not in essays, but in their revisions. Not in confessions, but in the words left smudged. Wednesday had always known this. It was not romanticism; it was taxonomy.
She approached writing like she did forensics: the focus was not what had been said, but on what had been meant. What seeped through pages when the author let their guard down.
At Lenore, this task proved more challenging than expected. The submissions to the New Rhetoric literary journal were technically competent, but conceptually empty - filled with curated ache and safe metaphor. Even the misanthropic pieces appeared to be aimed at impressing a ghost. And yet, she read them all. Not out of desire for publication, but to claim the back office, to shield the first drafts from contamination.
The room had no windows, no clocks, and a faint scent of oxidized coffee grounds mingled with toner ink. Filing cabinets lined the walls; one bore the dent from what she suspected was a petty argument or a faculty mishap. She didn’t feel inclined to ask. Because the space felt cramped architecturally, not psychologically. That distinction mattered.
Neither did she mind the proximity; only interruption bothered her. So far, no one had entered. She doubted anyone knew of the office’s existence, except the self-appointed chief editor. Bianca Barclay feigned disinterest, but frequently hovered by the doorway. Wednesday found this efficient, as long as it spared her the effort of pretending to be detached. Everyone at Lenore wore indifference like a badge of social capital, but for Wednesday, it was simply her nature.
Friday nights were when Wednesday excelled. She was methodical, not from haste, but to impose order. Most submissions were paper-clipped, while some arrived in perfumed envelopes (which she flagged for rejection based on scent alone). However, a single piece under “Personal Essays” had been misfiled - and no student at Lenore would misfile something unless they wanted it to be read.
Her fingers hesitated. The tab was scribbled over multiple times before settling on: For Physics: Do Not Read. Ink bled through cheap manila. It was a natural contradiction. Labeling it as unreadable clearly suggested the opposite. At best, it served as a decoy; at worst, it was bait.
Regardless, she opened it.
Not with anticipation - she didn’t permit that. Curiosity, as others defined it, implied a willingness to be surprised. Wednesday preferred hypotheses. This file, with its misplaced classification and urgent prohibition, had already failed to hide. She expected a confessional, possibly romantic, probably overwrought.
Instead, she found disorder without collapse. Paragraphs without structure. Syntax fluctuated - sometimes fluid, sometimes rigid. There was no header or authorship claim. Just entries that resembled unrefined memory: granular, immediate, and stripped of any narrative arc.
It took two pages for her to realize the author wasn’t merely performing trauma. They were dissecting it, which was rare. Most student essays at Lenore arrived pre-triaged for aesthetics. This one resisted elegance.
That alone made it worth continuing.
The first notable segment portrayed a girl who mastered joy like others might master baton twirling: repetitive gestures for an audience. The phrasing felt crude, yet the premise intrigued Wednesday - joy, not as emotion, but as demonstration. She paused on a particular line: “She wins the smile faster if she jumps during the laugh - timing matters. They notice when it looks real.” Here, performance wasn’t a metaphor. It was calculus; rehearsed reactions were quantified and deployed with strategy. This kind of framing suggested someone who had either researched it or had lived it.
Another page brought a shift in register. It remained anonymous, remained abstract, yet the referents had narrowed: a mother narrating her child’s personality through compliments. “Mother says she is her joy. Mother says it when she cries quietly and stops quickly. Mother says it like it’s true.” What followed were phrases dissected mid-sentence - resilient like gum that doesn’t tear, resilient like plexiglass, resilient like an animal that stays silent when cornered. The writer annotated the word with a footnote: “resilient = get over it fast enough to make everyone else comfortable.”
That was the moment Wednesday leaned in - not physically, but intellectually. Someone so fluent in passive indictment was a rare treasure.
Then, scattered toward the end, the construction began to ache. Pain overrode argument. Tactics overrode emotions. The tone suggested a failing experiment. The narrative disintegrated into nested fragments - each trying to correct the previous one.
What struck her most was the compulsive redrafting mid-sentence, as if the writer didn’t trust the truth to survive unedited. Wednesday didn’t care for the vulnerability. What truly mattered was the reflex for control, like watching someone erase themselves in real time. Line by line.
She respected that.
Then, abruptly, a different ink appeared in the margin. Small but no less jarring. Red pen hastily added: Goldie.
Not circled. Not highlighted. Not even mentioned in the main text. Just an outburst. A slip. And the final sentence: “Goldie doesn’t get to be angry. Goldie is the prize. Goldie wins.”
Wednesday stared at the line - not because it meant anything, but because of its disruption to the initial purpose. It felt out of place in a work meant to deconstruct such logic. Yet, that fact alone meant it truly did belong.
She drew the paper an inch closer, enough to examine the ink bleed. Ballpoint. Rushed. A note not intended for editorial scrutiny. Not even intended for the writer’s future self. It was a boundary shed. A moment of textual trespass.
And that, she thought, was the real submission.
///
And there she is yay!!!
So just wanted to let you all know - it might make me slow down with constant posting of UTMR which is probably a good thing LOL.
Let me know if you want to see this fic interests you :P
Okay later my lovey friends <3

Superbat, but only in the background for the comedy during a romance office drama.
Hear me out. Half the Daily Planet has noticed Lois and Cat going from pure hatred to actually enjoying the vicious mockery battles. After last year's success of getting Clark together with his longtime fanboy crush, Bruce Wayne, the office is now dedicated to reviving romance once more. So a new groupchat is made, and shenanigans ensue.
Lois attempts to get Clark to help her on an article. Clark, due to the entire office assuming the poor guy can't keep a secret to save his life, is not in the groupchat. However, Bruce told him about it in the supply room five minutes ago. His coworkers are all making "don't you DARE" motions behind Lois's back, because an article exposing a socialite basically leaves her with no other choice but Cat. Clark, only wearing half a tie and with only a third of his buttons actually done up, pretends he forgot whatever he came for in the supply room and will obviously need to be in there for the rest of the week, sorry Lois.
Lois and Cat are still working on that article. In an attempt to speed things along, Jimmy locks them in one of the Daily Planet's conference rooms. While Lois and Cat are having the fight of their lives and are about five seconds away from needing a physical intervention, we see Bruce and Clark running out of the same supply room, across the hallway, away from Deathstroke. Exactly 7 seconds later Deathstroke comes back running through the hallway, this time with Batman and Superman in pursuit. The crash alerts Lois and Cat, but there is no longer anything to see. The moment they turn around, Deathstroke is running back from where he originally came from, still pursued by Batman and Superman. However, Batman is now actively pelting him with keurig coffee pods.
The article is supposed to be done, except Perry prefers submissions to be done on paper, and the printer is empty. Cat and Lois were sharing a coffee cup right until this was discovered, and mood in the office drops into the basement when they start fighting again. Thankfully for the Planet's resident secret superhero, Cat followed Lois to the supply closet to continue that argument, and she opens the door to show us Bruce, shirtless, hitting Ra's al Ghul, also shirtless, with a fire extinguisher, while Clark, not shirtless but only wearing about a third of his shirt due to the previous katana duel he got caught up in, holds him down. Conveniently, Lois didn't look inside because she was too busy arguing with (read: being transfixed by) Cat, and slams the door shut without getting her printer paper.
Cat and Lois were five seconds away from submitting the article when new information came to light. This was, of course, not at all courtesy of Bruce Wayne and his thirst for non-world ending drama (the source is anonymous, after all). Now, they're in an upscale bar on what is definitely not a date. Half the Daily Planet is in cheap wigs and fake moustaches sitting at the bar while Cat and Lois stake out their target. Clark and Bruce are at one of the private tables overlooking the windows, and by now far more invested in Cat and Lois than their own date. This is even more entertaining than rewatching footage of Hal clothesline himself on Batman's grappeline two weeks ago. The target strolls in, and Cat and Lois are firmly convinced the feeling of jealousy is because they are not about to let the other one get the scoop. Clark and Bruce just got a League alert and are now pushing a potted plant in front of their table at a snail's pace so they can jump out of the window unseen. The sight of Batman and Superman flying up from a couple stories below distracts the target long enough to slip up and the women of the hour buy each other drinks, obviously exclusively because neither lost this battle.
The restaurant has to be evacuated and Cat and Lois finally kiss after the emotions of nearly getting crushed by falling debris from the nearby League fighting the villain of the month. Maybe they do have feelings for each other beyond hatred, after all. The costumed Daily Planet reporters cheer. The corner of Batman's mouth ticks up exactly two degrees. Superman falls out of the sky. He is not surprised. He is mad because now he owes the love of his life two dollars because Lois just could not be dense for half a day more. How will he survive?
The next morning, everyone is overjoyed at another romantic success for the Daily Planet reporters. Clark brought his Ma's cake, but hurriedly excuses himself to the supply room. While Perry congratulates Cat and Lois on their successful article and newfound partnership, we see Batman and Superman in the high-rise behind him spraying Lex Luthor with a waterhose.
Cat and Lois make their way to the supply room. On their way in, they politely greet Clark and Bruce, who are on their way out. The entire office signs a pledge to never use that room again.

Everybody loves a good redemption arc, we seem to love them a little too much. Yet it seems that we always go a step too far trying to justify the actions of known criminals and murderers. Case and point: Daniella Romanoff, aka the Black Widow.
Miss Romanoff is the sister of Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Belova, two very dangerous women who have, as expected, been pardoned in the public eye. However she is also the granddaughter of mutant terrorist Erik Lehnsherr, aka Magneto. It seems her connections could not get worse, but the rabbit hole seems to just get deeper. She was formerly a member of the infamous Red Room, a collection of Russian assassins and spies trained from childhood to be ruthless killers. Along with her and her sisters, we have evidence that many more of these women still live in the United States completely hidden. It is bad enough that the U.S. government is simply allowing these women to walk around free as anything, but especially in Daniella Romanoff's case. She is also classed as an omega level mutant and a witch with extraordinary magical abilities. An anonymous source told the Daily Bugle:
"[Daniella Romanoff] is like a hurricane. She causes destruction and damage wherever she goes and is a threat to national safety" - Anonymous
Miss Romanoff is responsible for a number of famous terror attacks and murders, and her extreme powers cause doubt among the public about whether she is safe to be loose in the streets. She regularly commits mass murders under the name 'The Angel of Death', as well as previous alliances with her grandfather's Brotherhood of Mutants, a militant activist group who want to eradicate all humans .She has also been associated with a very powerful witch by the name of Nyx Dreadwood. New readers may not know who she is but she has been responsible for some of the worst natural disasters in America's history, including the 1900 Galveston hurricane, the Great Flood of 1862, and many more. Two powerful and deadly women working together? Sounds like a recipe for disaster.
One thing is for certain, the Daily Bugle will not let her critics be silenced. Here at the Daily Bugle we strive to deliver the truth the they don't want you to know, which is why we have expanded our services beyond print media to the internet. To join our daily newsletter comment underneath one of our posts to be added to the list. Be sure to comment your thoughts about the new and even more dangerous Black Widow below, or leave an anonymous submission to get potentially featured in a later news story.
– J Jonah Jameson
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Editor's note: Trust Mr Jameson to start a witch hunt, if you'll pardon the pun, over some random woman. Her being the sister of Natasha Romanoff does not make her ex-red room, nor does her being the granddaughter of Magneto make her a mutant rights extremist. The 'Angel of Death' connection is not something we have any evidence for besides a few potentially photoshopped images, and the connection with Nyx Dreadwood is only the word of our intern Alex, who went to interview the notorious witch and came back with no tongue. The fact of the matter is Mr Jameson loves nothing more than placing all the blame of the world on a mutant woman, and I'm afraid I may have to double lock the doors of the office tonight. Apologies Miss Romanoff, but outrage and fear sells, and Mr Jameson loves nothing more than to sell stories, no matter how tall. – J.E. - Lead Editor

LOVE IN THE AIR AT RAD!
Tumblr media
The RAD Newspaper Club reports on the love-struck frenzy of Diavolo's latest initiative.
Content: Fluff and silliness! While not explicitly stated, there are hints of certain OM ships within the article if you squint (DiaLuci, SoloDeus, SimBatos). MC is not mentioned but implied to be part of the RAD student council.
A/N: This is a Valentine's Day-themed collab for @obeymevents! I wrote the "article" detailing RAD's romantic festivities. I was fortunate to be paired with @seerachii-art who created the stunning artwork for our submission.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
RAD’s Valentine’s Day festival has been proclaimed a “steamy success” according to one inside source that worked on the committee that helped organize the event. As one of many projects designed to educate RAD students about human world customs, this marked yet another triumph for Lord Diavolo who oversaw the festival personally.
“Love is a central part of the human experience,” the young prince explained. “Valentine’s Day is a holiday that celebrates love in all forms, and demonkind can be just as romantic and passionate as any other race in the three realms.”
The Valentine’s Day festival consisted of several activities throughout the school day, each inspired in part by human world pop culture or traditions. RAD’s very own student council officers were personally involved with organizing and running the various activities throughout campus.
“The student council worked hard to ensure that each activity ran smoothly and exceeded Lord Diavolo’s high expectations,” Lucifer explained. “A lot of research and planning was required to make the experience as authentic as possible.”
“He means we had to watch a lot of cheesy romantic comedies and sitcoms,” student council officer Mammon explained while Lucifer was distracted by a commotion in a nearby hallway. Mammon was reluctant to explain his own role in the festivities; later, he was seen arguing with Lucifer who discovered unsanctioned sports betting started by the Avatar of Greed himself.
Perhaps the most anticipated event of the day was Cupid’s Arrow. Romantic hopefuls sent their crushes and paramours a Valentine’s Day greeting accompanied with a night-blooming rose. Prince Diavolo delivered these gifts himself, visiting each classroom and handing out these romantic tokens of affection. Students were amused to see the young prince wearing a pair of white cherub wings, true to the character of Cupid, a popular mascot for the holiday.
(Related: Fairy or Fiend: Cupid’s True Identity, page four.)
While Diavolo was reluctant to share the results of this particular event, an anonymous source close to the prince revealed that the top recipients for these gifts included Lucifer, Asmodeus, and Diavolo himself.
The student council officers weren’t the only ones busy making this romantic holiday event a success. Barbatos and the residents of Purgatory Hall held a large bake sale near the cafeteria during lunch hour. Proceeds from the bake sale are being used to expand RAD’s library.
“We’re grateful to volunteers from the Cooking and Baking clubs that helped make this possible,” Barbatos said prior to the sale where eager students waited in line to purchase a sweet treat.
(Barbatos was overheard reassuring student council representatives that the human exchange student Solomon, who had apparently donated trays of cookies to be sold, was busy helping with another event. His cookies were not on the table displays and when asked, Barbatos pointed out alternatives instead.)
Nearly half of the baked goods, including a variety of chocolates and handmade candies, were purchased by Beelzebub who had volunteered to help run the bake sale on behalf of the student council. Everything was sold out within forty minutes. Belphegor, who had also been assigned to help with the event but could not be found at the time for an interview, was discovered under one of the tables where he had apparently fallen asleep.
(Related: Barbatos’ recipe for Red Devil cupcakes can be found on page eight.)
The romantic holiday event was not without its share of chaos, however. Students waited in long line-ups to participate in kissing booths that were set up throughout campus. Perhaps the most notable demon selling their kisses for a good cause was Asmodeus himself. The Avatar of Lust hosted a live stream where he charmed audiences with amusing anecdotes between tantalizing smooches; his channel had so many viewers that #AvatarOfKisses was trending on Devilgram.
Asmodeus’ kissing booth caused the most trouble for school officials as his fan club swarmed the area. The line-up clogged nearby hallways and disrupted classes. The sorcerer Solomon, who was listed as a volunteer for this event, was rumored to be the cause of the delay as candid snapshots of him and Asmodeus locking lips quickly circulated online. In the comment section of one photo asking how many kisses Solomon paid for, the human exchange student apparently replied back, “Who’s keeping count when it’s all for a good cause?”
With renovations for RAD’s library expansion scheduled to commence next month, it seems that Prince Diavolo’s festive Valentine’s Day event was a resounding success.

'To be or not to be' is from a soliloquy far earlier in Hamlet than the Skull monologue (not a soliloquy). Anon has an 'Alas, poor Yorick' hat and it always leads to them having to explain 'To be or not to be,' because despite it being a relatively common phrase, people really don't know much about its origin.
That's not to say there's a right answer to this poll, because there isn't; we use and encounter the phrase plenty outside of its source. Anon is just interested to see if people still view this line as intrinsically tied to Shakespeare.
We ask your questions anonymously so you don’t have to! Submissions are open on the 1st and 15th of the month.

Guess That Ship Tournament Season 15: Submissions CLOSED!
The Concept: You describe your ship* to me, I pick out the submissions which I find most compelling and pit them against each other without revealing who they are, people vote on them, and their identities gets revealed once they’re eliminated.
Quite a few things have changed this time, so even if you're a regular, I recommend you read through the rules carefully!
Every other season, ships from fanon (something unofficial derived from the canon of a work), fanworks, and OCs will be allowed. This is the case for Season 15.
Submission Guidelines
*For the purpose of this tournament, relationships do not have to be romantic in nature. (I’m sometimes going to use “ship” as a shorthand, just know I mean “relationships” in general.)
Relationship can be between any number of characters.
Real people are accepted if they’ve been dead for more than 100 years.
Roleplay characters are accepted as long as the description only pertains to the characters and not the players.
Ships from fanon and fanworks (including crossover ships and crackships) are accepted. (If the fanwork is lesser known or on a smaller scale, please do not submit any ships from it without permission.)
OCs and OC x Canon are accepted. (Please do not submit other people's OCs without their permission.)
No overtly NSFW submissions. (Mentioning they have sex or are a sex worker is fine, but try to avoid anything more than that.)
Two submission per person. (Do not submit the same ship twice. I cannot enforce this on Google Forms without forcing you to log in. So just be champs and respect this rule.)
Failure to follow these guidelines may result in all of your submissions being disqualified for this season.
Summary Guidelines
Selection Process: I will read through the list of descriptions submitted without reading their names and pick the most compelling submissions. Then, I will check the name to make sure there's no repeats.
Keep it concise, but also bring something unique to the table. Make sure to describe their relationship, not just summarize the events of the story.
Previous submissions for reference. The ideal submission should be 1-2 paragraphs, but you can make it as short or long as you want. Please keep in mind the longer your submission, the less likely it is to get in.
Tips on what to avoid while writing a summary can be found here.
Descriptions should be based on the canon of the source material (e.g. You can say “they love each other” instead of “they’re lovers” if their romantic nature is debatable.). If you are writing a description based on how they appear in a fanfic or your headcanon, it is considered as fanon and should be labeled as such in your submission.
Avoid author commentary. (e.g. "They're canonically x," "I love them," "Play/watch/read this," etc.)
Use canonical pronouns.
Avoid identifying information or setting specific giveaways. (i.e. ninja village, space necromancers.)
When submitting OCs, please make sure to at least put a name somewhere. (e.g. "John and Bob by anonymous" or "OCs by Joey.")
The more popular your ship is the more vague the description should be.
Exclusions
Generally, ships that have been accepted into previous seasons will not be accepted. For a complete list, please look here. (No need to look through the whole list, just Ctrl+F to find the ship you want.)
Due to them winning S14, ships containing the characters Mira Marchand and/or Delnys Raethran from Trials & Trebuchets will not be accepted in S15. Ships containing them will be allowed again in S16.
Any submissions from Harry Potter will also not be included.
Notes
I will not vet the ships/pairings for problematic content.
If you participate in this tournament, know that you run the risk of unintentionally voting for your nOTP. The mod does not take any responsibility for any distress that may cause you.
There will be a limit of one ship per media in the bracket. You may submit two ships from the same media, but keep in mind only one ship will be able to get in. (A series or franchise will generally count as one media, but they will be evaluated on a case by case basis.)
There will be a maximum number of fanon ships and OC ships accepted into the tournament. The maximum number will depend on the bracket size, but for a bracket of 16, the maximum number will be 3.
Submit your ships here! Submissions will be open until Sunday, March 9th at 9 PM EDT.
Please reblog this post to spread the word! The more submissions, the better!

From Julian Amaniou to Anonymous, greetings and solidarity.
Living in times like these can feel very hard. As someone who has also felt the frustrations of standing up against oppression, I deeply empathize.
1. Sift out sensationalism and fearmongering. The first commandment of my religion is, “Go and find out.” Some believe that means we must intake ALL information. But that belief is predicated on the assumption that everything you might intake is reliable. It is not. True knowledge is made of facts, & facts are usually rather staid and dull. Be a skeptic: Question everything you hear about. Check your sources, & check theirs too. Read beyond the headlines. Develop strong critical thinking, & identify propaganda for what it is, EVEN IF IT’S COMING FROM THE PEOPLE WHO AGREE WITH YOU.
Going to protests is great, but you’re right—it often doesn’t nourish the spirit the way that seeing a direct, immediate result does. Perhaps it’s time to think smaller. Find problems that YOU can touch with YOUR hands. For example, volunteering at a soup kitchen, a clean-up for a local river or park, or with an adult literacy program (in my experience, there’s little in this world more fulfilling than the pride of seeing your student’s progress). If you can’t find one, organize! It sounds complicated, but it isn’t really. Think about things you LIKE to do, find something that needs that love, & give it your love. Invite a couple friends. Put up flyers to let strangers know what you’re doing so they can show up too. You don’t need to help in exactly the same way as everyone else. YOUR way of helping is worthy & worthwhile, and it all makes the world a little better.
There are no Chosen Ones in the resistance. There is no climactic orchestral music at the moment the revolution prevails. You can’t save the world. But you can hand someone hungry a plate of food, clean up a park, or teach someone what you know.
Bread and roses, Julian

JUSTIFICATIONS:
"very nonplussed about not using her birth name in fact seems weirdly excited about it seems more embarrassed to have lost her dick then actually like worried plus the general nerdy loner vibe" - @franziska-von-karuma
"1: idk man just look at her that kid is not a cis boy I don't believe that
2: the entire story kinda revolves around, quite literally, losing "manhood" (her freaking thingie gets stolen by a ghost), because she was cursed by a (female) spirit, and that spirit is also the source of her supernatural power... Idk man I just think having Girl Juice make you have a huge power up is pretty freaking transfem ????
Oh, also yes the story revolves around trying to recover her "manhood" (mostly the uh... Jewels) but throughout the story she offers to give them up multiple times for other's sakes and I'm like girl you don't seem THAT desperate to get em back 👀
Also also the romance in the story just doesn't feel... Het. Like that's yuri they just haven't realized it yet. Ok I'm done bye bye" - @crypt1dcorv1dae

FREE F/O LETTERS/ YUMESHIP WRITING / CLOSED!
Thank all of you for your submissions! I may reopen but right now I have enough to work with. I won't close the form for anyone in the process of drafting them up, but please note it is not likely I'll get to them in the foreseeable future.
Hello yume/selfship tumblr! I'm saving up money to support myself in college, and I want to start taking writing commissions, but I need examples and customers first! PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR LETTERS MAY BE USED AS EXAMPLES! Here is a form to fill out to be considered!! I'm not expecting many replies, so I'm going to roughly say I'm confident in writing around 10 letters, or 5 fanfic style stories. It's not necessarily first come first serve, but earlier submitters have a better shot. I won't guarantee anyone a letter, especially if I'm unfamiliar or uncomfortable with your F/O's source. I'll write any relationship, be it romantic, platonic, or familial, but I won't write proship content. I'm fine writing things in a grey area, ie, a bit of a complex relationship, including enemies to lovers style, but I'll consider each request individually and with discretion. I'm not judgemental, it's just for my own comfort. By filling out the form, you confirm that you understand I may accidentally misrepresent you or your F/O. I will never do this on purpose, but I can't know your full dynamic from a form. Please inform me if anything I've written is genuinely offensive. I will not share your answers to the form, but these answers obviously cannot be anonymous for me to be able to get them to you.

CHRISTMAUS 2024 SUBMISSIONS
Tumblr media
Today I am proud to announce ChristmAUs 2024! As you may have seen earlier, I have taken the reigns of ChristmAUs from @fmsdraws / @ut-poppy-askblog (with his permission). Unfortunately, I can not make a game like ChristmAUs 2023 (which you should really play Link here)! However, I do have a big plan for ChristmAUs 2024, and that plan is: Animated Christmas Card!
Tumblr media
That's right! Unlike most of the other ChristmAUs collabs, this one shall be animated! Give your AU characters animations to bring them to life for all to see! Of course, animation is a hard, time consuming process. But with over 2 months to work, and with the simple rules on how the characters should be animated, it shouldn't be too difficult to get your character in in time!
Tumblr media
RULES: *Submissions are open until Sunday, December 8th, 12 AM! Meaning that they are open through out December 7th and then they close! *Submissions must be in the style of Undertale and Deltarune! *No limit on the amount of characters you can submit, but I may ask you to slow down if I feel you are submitting too many. *The AU character(s) you submit must come from a publicly revealed AU that must have some content behind them other then this ChristmAUs. This includes: Art, Audio, Comic, Animation, Photography, Game, Sprites, Written Sources, or any combination of them. *No content that would be 18+. This is a family-friendly ChristmAUs! *No content that would be harmful or hurtful to anyone. ChristmAUs should be a joyous time, and hate and harm have no place in it. *No content that would violate the TOS of the majority of websites, including Youtube, Reddit and Tumblr. *You must have permission to submit the character, if you did not create them yourself! (UT and DR canon characters excluded; just link UT or DR for them.) Submission Rules: 1: Make sure you've read all the rules! 2: Give your Handle; how you want to be credited in the public. I do not accept anonymous contributions! 3: Share your characters name(s) and AU(s), along with link to the AU/those AUs! 4: Share your characters sheet(s); this should include every frame individually used for the animation, and I will add them in myself. Character Sheets should be 1x1 (meaning a pixel is just 1 pixel). Animations should be based on 12 Frames Per Second and Frames should be based on Multiples of 6! (6, 12, 18, etc.) 5: Share where you wish for your character(s) to be placed on the map. Keep in mind that while I will try to place them where you wish, I may move them slightly to fit the environment better. 6: Optionally, if you wish, include a GIF of the animation so that I can get an idea of how they should look in action! 7: Additionally, for those who can't animate, or for those who want to go above and beyond, there are also opportunities to add static content to ChristmAUs. These include: +Ornaments (20x20 max) +Gifts (30x30 max) +Table Set Pieces (45x45 max, 13 Max) +Pictures (30x18 or 17x18, 15 Max) 8: Characters should not be placed in areas that obviously would not fit them; like a massive character in a tiny area, for instance. 9: No walking animations, or animations that move characters from their standing point. This is to ensure there's no collisions and for a maximum amount of characters on the map. 10: All animations should loop into themselves. No animations should simply end. 11: All art submissions should include your handle/credit name!
SUBMISSION LINK:
I hope everyone has fun with this ChristmAUs! And I hope doing it in animated form works wonderfully for everyone! One last shout out to @mickonline1 for his wonderful ChristmAUs tree submission! I'll see you again through out the month, and ChristmAUs will see you on Christmas!

The world is well aware of the connection between President Barnes and HYDRA, and many see him as noble to be so open and upfront about his not-so-clean record. However, no one expected his daughter Yekaterina Camilia Romanoff-Barnes to also previously have been in league with the infamous Nazi group. The rabbit hole only gets deeper with this family, especially since her mother and President Barnes’s wife is the equally infamous Black Widow from the Russian Red Room program.
So who is Yekaterina? We received vital information from an anonymous source outlining her troubling past. She ALLEGEDLY was a super soldier and assassin raised by HYDRA, deadly and responsible for atrocities same as her parents. It seems President Barnes is perfectly fine with brushing the past of his family and close friends under the rug, while the rest of HYDRA’s ex-agents rot in high security prison cells. Favouritism and corruption seems to run rampant in the hallowed halls of our capital, especially as we have photo evidence of Yekaterina in her assassin’s garb above.
You would think that that would be the end of the story, but you would be wrong. Not only is Yekaterina an ex murderess and criminal, she also isn’t even of our universe! Thats right folks, the president’s own ‘daughter’ is from another universe. She is not of our world and is an outsider, and in my opinion a potential threat to the safety of America and Earth, if she is allowed so close to the seat of the most powerful man in the country.
The people of the world were kept in the dark about the potential dangers of Yekaterina Romanoff-Barnes for too long, but thanks to the Daily Bugle the truth was revealed! To join our daily newsletter comment underneath one of our posts to be added to the list. Be sure to comment your thoughts about Yekaterina below, or leave an anonymous submission to get potentially featured in a later news story.
– J Jonah Jameson
–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Editor's note: For legal reasons that was all speculation on Mr. Jameson’s part and he stated so. I’d rather not lose my job. Otherwise… wow. A lot of fear mongering and omitting important details about Miss Romanoff-Barnes but, again for legal reasons I’m not going to say much more. Just remember readers, Yekaterina is a young woman with a promising future and I look forward to seeing her prosper in the future – J.E. - Lead Editor
