New Blorbo Game Blog!! (Please read this before sending in requests)
Hello, we are a new game blog that post polls about random scenarios you sent us; our polls will consist of scenarios as the main questions and the answer choices will be different ways a character may react in regard to these scenarios. All you have to do is vote the choice you think your Blorbo would do if they were in that situation.
We, as the owners of this blog, have every right to rephrase, edit, alter any poll however we see fit without notifying the submitter.
Rules:
Send the scenario of your choice to our inbox — it can be anything, for instance, a bear attack, hurricane, a plane crash, a heartbreak, etc — and the answer choices consist of different ways a Blorbo might react to said scenario. Very important: keep in mind that Tumblr only allows 80 characters max per one answer choice, 12 answer choices max in one poll.
We will make a separate poll (not by directly responding to the request in our inbox) from that scenario you sent us, so people can vote which answer choice they think their Blorbo would do in said situation.
To be clear: only send us the scenario and the various ways a character might react to said scenario. DO NOT send us the Blorbo. People will have their own Blorbos in mind while they vote.
Overly specific requests may not get posted; for instance, a request about a scenario that is so specifically about one specific fandom that it requires people to be in said fandom in order for them to understand and be able to vote may be deleted altogether (if it does get posted then chances are it's about fandom that is well-known enough or the scenario is interesting enough, the decision is entirely up to the admins, but keep in mind that there is a chance it will not get posted). Please try to only submit scenarios about situations that don't require people to be in any specific fandom in order for them to understand what goes on.
Example of a good request that will get posted
Poll’s question 👇🏻
What would your Blorbo do if they were stuck in an elevator with their archenemy?
The answer choices may be 👇🏻
They’d make out with that enemy
They’d cry and their enemy would comfort them
They and their enemies would try to kill each other
They both would panic
You’ll vote the choice you think your Blorbo would do. And that’s it. Have fun!
If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us via our inbox!
*For those who are not familiar with the term, Blorbo means one’s comfort/favorite fictional character.
**We have the rights not to post any poll we believe might be harmful or poll about situation we’re not comfortable posting. However, violence and gore in general are fine (Dead Dove in general is fine too, though it depends on the scenario). We’ll tag them with trigger warnings accordingly.

We are one step away from the end. Tomorrow The FINAL POLL of the tournament will be posted. Here is the final brackets for each side. Then we can get a bit more into who the contestants are.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Our first finalist is Arthmael de Silfos, who appears to be a prince from the fantasy book Sueños de Piedra, which i think may have had an english translation at some point under the name Dreams of Stone but I couldn't find any place to read or buy it, so I may just be wrong about that.
The other is Varvara Lukinishna from a book called The Slynx. I was unable to find anything about Varvara specifically, but the book takes place 200 years after an apocalypse, and all 3 reviews on Barnes and noble are positive. It's also in english, which I imagine is a big plus for the (I assume) english-speaking majority of my followers
I don't think it's surprising to anyone that the finals will be 2 book characters. Oh and while I have you here, if you are the submitter of either of these characters please let me know how you feel about them getting this far.
May the more obscure win. I don't know about you all but will be following the tag for whichever source wins.

Matching creators (or anyone curious!) who don’t want to do research with people who want to infodump! Run by @inspectorlyfra
You can send in submissions as both creators and infodumpers! No need to only fill one role.
Preferably send requests and offers as submissions, respond to them with reblogs*, and send additional dialogue to the mod using asks. *In responding to requests and offers, please reblog the post here, tag the submitter, and ask to move to DMs or a new thread.
Infodump topic offers will be tagged OFFER: [topic], and topic requests will be tagged REQUEST: [topic]. Each will have both specific topic names and broader topic names. Before submitting a request or offer, please search the blog and respond to any match from the other side. IE, if you’re offering to talk about deep sea fish, search for requests about deep sea fish. You can, of course, fulfill requests and still submit an offer for anyone else who needs it. This just takes some extra strain off me. (I could manually tag matches, but I don’t have the memory or energy required).
Submissions will be queued, with amount per day adjusted depending on how much traffic we’re getting.
We have a spreadsheet now, thanks to the assistance of someone who wishes to remain anonymous. It’ll be a lot easier to search than tumblr. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QCcnOal3Qf2bXYIrZEztjjLhsbk-fBqpnQLEAygvY-E/edit#gid=1510985255

Additional comment from the submitter: ❝ Please pick the option closest to your style, even if it not fully applies. Feel free to specify in the comments or tags.❞
This poll was submitted to us and we simply posted it so people could vote and discuss their opinions on the matter. If you’d like for us to ask the internet a question for you, feel free to drop the poll of your choice in our inbox and we’ll post them anonymously (for more info, please check our pinned post).

Applications for the Fall 2023 session are now open!
The Fanauthor Workshop is a biannual Zoom course for writers of fanfiction. My goal is to create a supportive space for fanauthors to receive constructive feedback on fanfiction, original fiction, or creative nonfiction. If desired, I also provide guidance on moving outside of fan spheres to traditional publishing or other creative writing programs such as MFAs.
Participants of the workshop receive:
Attendance in a 5-7 week course during which you’ll provide feedback to your peers and workshop one piece of your own work, up to 6,000 words.
Access to the Fanauthor Workshop Discord server, where you’ll be able to chat with other workshop members, plus a private channel for your group specifically.
A one-hour consultation with me to go over your workshop feedback, come up with a plan for revision and/or publication, or anything else you’d like to discuss regarding your writing.
Applications close October 1. The workshop will take place weekly, beginning on Friday, November 3.
Note that usually the workshop starts in the third week of October, but I'll be traveling until November. We will be skipping over the day after Thanksgiving, November 24, and resume the Friday after.
The number of weeks the workshop will run (5-7) is dependent on the number of participants. Each workshop will have between 8 and 12 participants.
Group A: 12 to 2pm EST
Group B: 6 to 8pm EST
Additional information, my qualifications, and how to apply are under the cut.
How to apply
Eligibility
Anyone over the age of 18 who considers themselves a participant of fandom and who is familiar with fanfiction may apply.
Cost
The cost is "pay what you think the experience is worth,” with the recommended amount of $250.
There's no catch here. I just don't want money to be a deterrent for anyone.
Application requirements
To apply, you will need:
A brief cover letter discussing your fan history and goals as a (fan)writer (more specific instructions on Submittable).
Maximum 2,000 words of your writing, either original fiction or fanfiction. This may be previously published/posted work.
There is no fee for applying.
Testimonials
If you're interested in what other participants have gotten out of the workshop, check out the recent testimonials.
My qualifications
Hello! I'm @bettsfic.
I have an MFA in creative writing pedagogy and coursework toward a PhD in creative writing.
I've taught English composition and creative writing at the university level for 7 years.
I've been a writing coach and freelance editor for 3 years. Here are some client testimonials.

FAQ!
Is it kinda like @symbruary where we post stuff and just tag it on here?
It's exactly like Symbruary where you post and then tag VenomFest. Additionally, you can post your fill to the AO3 Community for weekly prompts.
Can it be any kind of media (fic, art, memes etc)?
It can be any kind of media so long as you made it (wrote, drew, edited, ect).
Will you reblog stuff even if that week has passed?
I'll be reblogging things after the week has passed, but not before. So, if you want to do something for a later prompt, you can post and tag as early as you want, but it won't be reblogged until the prompt week.
And what is the difference between the prompt fest and the prompt meme?
The difference between the prompt fest and the prompt meme is where the prompts come from and how detailed they are.
The fest consists of weekly prompts that are a single word or phrase curated by me. Creators are welcome to interpret the prompts however they want to.
The prompt meme will consist of submitted prompts that can be as specific as the submitter wants them to be. So, a prompt could be a whole outline of what someone wants to see/read or a specific scenario (only one bed, an AU situation, or Eddie and Venom doing something). The submitter can be as specific or as general as they want. There's no guarantee any one prompt will be filled, but the idea is to inspire authors and artists to create.

⋆⊹ Welcome to my blog! ⊹⋆
This is a silly creative space made by me so that all who interact with us can enjoy themselves!
I'm the instigator of the story Dustverse, but all credit for all Dust Sanses used and the original post ( seen here ) goes to their respective Content Creators
We also have a big ol' "Dust Wall" which holds all of the Dust's nicknames and their respective owners/submitters here.
As well as that project, we will write/draw shipping things (such as Anomaly x Sans, Dust Sans x Reader, Avian Sanses x Reader, etc.)
We have a few major AU creations we have on this blog specifically:
Aviantale (Utmv)
Withertale (Utmv)
Prison utmv
Pirate utmv
Westerntale
Buckshot Roulette (Utmv)
Collectortale (Utmv)
Craftverse (Utmv)
Cryptidverse (Utmv)
Genocide UTMV (Genoverse- ?)
Dead Plate (Utmv)
A Wonderful Idea ( Also alternatively Buddy Route )
Link to Cryptidverse Masterpost:
Both of which are technically more like 'verses, as they have all of the Sanses/Papyri in them.
My asks are always open and I love to answer 'em, but do keep in mind that I won't write anything too spicy.
I also don't write any sort of proshipping, at all.
Feel free to ramble in my asks, ask Dustverse about what different Dust's opinions are on what's going on, or just come here to chill
Hope you enjoy your stay!
This Blog is a System, who has several alters that frequent the place such as !

General Info + Submission Guidelines
This is an almost exclusively submission based blog, so feel free to submit your characters. Just send an ask in. I'll put polls into the queue in the order they are received, and they'll run for a week once up. Make sure to include the fandom they are from. You may submit propaganda, and it will be included in the poll under a readmore. Celebrities may be submitted.
Answer polls assuming they have access to ikea furniture to attempt assembling
3 polls are posted per day
Polls in queue(Updated Aug 1): 12 (+336 inbox*)
*the number for the inbox is the number of asks remaining, and may be more or less than the number of characters
Tags
Polls will be tagged with the fandom and character name. I usually use the names as submitted, and possibly popular relevant tumblr tags. If it is a real person, it will be tagged with their name, #real life, and sometimes their profession(s) (actor, musician, wrestler, etc)
If the image used was submitted with the ask, it will be tagged #image from submitter
Polls are tagged with the date submitted, formatted as the 3-letter English abbreviation of the month and the day (e.g. #Apr 29). Keep in mind this may be a day off due to timezone differences
Non-polls are rare, but will be tagged #not a poll (excluding the original version of this post)
Polls about blog policy(e.g. the "should I include pictures?" poll) will be tagged #blog policy poll
Frequently Asked* Questions
*or occasionally asked/mentioned in tags. or perhaps I'm just giving you the information and no one has ever once asked this
[Character] has a lot of different portrayals/renditions. Which one does the poll refer to?
Unless the post specifies one in particular, I don't have any more clue than you do. If the submission specifies, I put it in the post. The rendition a picture is from is not intended to indicate a specific source.
What level of specificity is allowed?
You may be as specific or unspecific as you like with your character submission. Both "Link from The Legend of Zelda series" and "Castiel from Supernatural, specifically in S05E08 'Changing Channels'" would be allowed. That being said, I reserve the right to not publish excessive variations of the same character (e.g. if you submit Castiel separately for every episode of supernatural, I will not be posting all of those).
What do you mean by "assemble it well"?
You may interpret this however you like, but I would define it as getting furniture assembled such that it stays together, and deviations from the instructions are either intended or insignificant. I would not count mental distress as not going well (for the purpose of answering this question), with the exception of cases where the mental distress leads to it being disassembled, unfinished, or otherwise destroyed.
Will my username be publicized?
For submissions, no. For other asks, probably. Anon is on if you wish to use it.
What is the ideal format for submissions?
Submit through asks. The exact formatting doesn't matter much, but the format of "[character] from [media]" including proper capitalization (e.g. Link from Legend of Zelda), with additional content on other lines is slightly easier to copy-paste.
Should I submit multiple characters as separate asks?
Up to 3 characters in one ask is fine. More than that, please split the asks. If you want to submit each as a separate ask, that's equally fine. If submitting multiple characters from the same media, it's fine to either list them and say "all from [media]" or list them all as "[character] from [media]".
How are the pictures used obtained?
Generally from fan wikis, or wikipedia. If a picture is submitted with the ask, I will use that, and tag the post #image from submitter
Why is this picture of the wrong character/why was an inapplicable tag used?
Due this being a submission-based blog, I am not personally familiar with all characters on here. If something is improperly tagged, the image is of the wrong character, etc, notify me if you want me to fix it.
What's the policy on re-polls?
This is one of the questions no one has ever once asked! As such, I do not have a policy on re-polls for polls that don't have a significant error. If a poll has a significant error(something that disrupts its ability to be answered, such as polls that only run for a day rather than a week, or don't have the answers set up correctly), notify me and I'll put out a corrected version as soon as I can.
Is there a way to jump ahead of the poll queue?
Be me. Or submit a character I decide I really want that answered about. This hasn't happened yet, but I reserve the right to post polls out of order, although if I do they'll be in addition to the regularly scheduled polls. If it is a user submission, I'll only post it out of order within 4 days of the original submission, so you don't have to worry about whether or not it will be posted at a random time for months(although there's always the chance someone else submitted them before you).

Pinned Post:
Rules:
Please include Fandom, Author, a Link to the Fic (ideally in its own line for easy copy-pasting), Rating, Pairing/Gen, Ongoing/Complete/Abandoned, and Length.
If you tell me what tropes it contains (found family, time travel, etc etc) I will add those as tags for search purposes.
I try to post two recs a day, and anything in the askbox is queued ASAP.
I have decided I take requests now! You can send in an ask to request fics from a specific fandom, and I will give a rec of my own if I have one, and other readers may chime in with theirs!
Additionally, community survey says that works of writing posted directly to tumblr are welcome as well - if you tag me in something like the Thyme Witch story or God of Arepo for example, I'll reblog those here under the tag "original writing" or "tumblr folklore"!
Nothing is banned from being submitted, just make sure you mention common triggers and content warnings. If you want to submit whump fics, thats fine, you want to submit *ahem* adult content, thats fine, just make sure you're clear about what the link you give will lead to.
Current state of inbox: Empty
Queue runs out on: Oct 5
Pinned post updated on: 9/16/24
We're perpetually low on fics. New followers, if you want to become a submitter, no time like the present to get in the inbox! (And as a reminder, first time submissions get to skip the queue :3 )

Note
hi! i saw the tag "poie issue" and I'd like to know what poie stands for? idk that term!!!
the blacklist tags page https://fictionkinfessions.tumblr.com/b
Poie issue
Referring to the mention of canon / media creators–the artists, writers, authors, screenwriters, etc.–and if the submitter has a positive or negative concern regarding them. [Coined from the word poiesis] See also: canon hate, canoning issue
Note: this is different than the tag #canon hate as it’s about the canon creator(s), not the canon. This word is made up specifically for a custom blog tag, and not an actual word.
