Hiii my loves, today I would like to introduce you guys to a great time transposing method that was developed back in the 1980's to travel through different realities, but the fun part is we are gonna use it for the void state. It's super fun and easy method and hardly even spoke about in our community. The reason I want to share this method because I absolutely love methods that were developed in the 19's, the methods were practical and easy. The fun part is it takes about 10 minutes, ready to enter the void state? 🖤

What is the Arlinski method :
The transposing method is taking your consciousness,and body at times to another place or the void state. You can do this while walking, sitting it laying down. There's no hazards attached to this method. You need no guide. You are control of every single thing. Do what you want with this method, you are unlimited. Transposing is like dreaming, but this is another dimensional experience all together. You will have no fears or beliefs, just command yourself to be in the void and you will.

How to do the Arlinski method :
1. Find a comfortable quiet place, where you can either lay on your back or side. You can even do this before bed or in the morning <3.
2. As you laying down, slow down and relax your body TOTALLY. To help, tell yourself " relax, relax , relax, ". Let go of everything and de - tense all muscle's.
A simple technique to do this goes like this : tighten all your muscles, hold it, release it all slowly and relax.
3. Remember you are not clearing out all your thoughts, but watching them come and go. Your thought process will naturally begin to slow down.
4. Begin to slow your body down. Don't strain yourself in this doing this. Don't push this breathing, keep it relaxed. Slow down your breathing, Taking less air, each time your breathe. Slowing your breathing will help relax your body and slow it's function. As your breathing slows, it will obtain a certain rhyme and you will begin to experience vibration because your body will start to synchronise. Among these experiences, you will ringing in your eyes, your body will start to tingle, these just symptoms that you avoid ignore because you body is starting to separate it's consciousness. You will feel a shift in vibrations and you will feel a wave come over you as you reach full body synchronisation. You will feel a detached feeling from your body or even a floating feeling. This is you and your body syncing together. They are ready to be directed by you and your place of choosing. You are pilot, the navigator giving your mind instructions to take you to your desired place. You can repeat the word " void , void' . And your mind will instantly take you there.

Summary of the Arlinski method :
♡ Relaxation: Start by relaxing your mind and body. Find a comfortable, quiet space where you won't be disturbed.
♡ Breathing Control: Gradually slow down your breathing. Take deep, slow breaths, making sure not to strain or create tension.
♡ Body Synchronization: As you continue to slow your breath, your body will begin to synchronize. You might experience vibrations or sensations in your body, similar to ringing in your ears.
♡ High Vibration: Your body will reach a high-frequency vibration state, signifying the beginning of the transposing process.
♡ Transposing Phase: During this phase, you can guide your consciousness to any place or time you desire. Your mind will act as a navigator, and you provide clear instructions. Repeat " void , void, " and you'll be there Instantly.
Enjoy the Experience: Once you've arrived at your chosen reality, you can interact with it and enjoy the experience.

fixing your sleep schedule

introduction:
sleep is such an important part of health. if you're regularly getting less than 8 hours of sleep per night there can be negative consequences on your physical and mental health.
a lot of times you might just be too busy to go sleep on time, but it can also be bad habits that are keeping u up.
adjusting current habits:
start going to bed 15 minutes earlier until you reach your desired time
creating a before-bed routine:
tidy up your room. cleaning can make you more tired, and also it just feels good to have a clean place to sleep in.
put your outfit out for the next day. this will save you time in the morning :)
avoid using your phone/laptop for 30 minutes-1 hour. blue light can disturb your sleep, so either use blue light glasses or just get offline earlier.
make sure your alarm is set. sometimes i forget to set my alarm and oversleep in the morning, which i hate, so i always check that i have my alarm ready for the next day.
try breathing techniques. breathing techniques that trigger that parasympathetic nervous system (the nervous system that calms your body down) is beneficial for relaxing/de-stressing. even Navy Seals use them!
overall just find something that relaxes you! reading is great, journalling is also great. find what helps you wind down before bed.
sticking to a schedule. then once you have something worked out, stick to it- this includes what you do before bed and a general time of when you go to sleep.
general tips:
working out (during the day). getting exercise during the day has proven to improve sleep. just dont workout RIGHT before going to bed becuz that can do the opposite.
chamomile lavender tea. i love tea with chamomile, and lavender is even better with it. it relaxes me and also it just tastes good.
reading for 30 minutes before bed. reading always gets me tired and a lot of times my mind is really hyperactive before bed, but when im focused on my book then it makes it easier to unwind if that makes sense.
get out of bed and walk around/ do something else when you can't fall asleep. if you've been in bed for a long time and don't feel tired, it's good to get out. i like to stretch on the floor and then go back in bed.

Drink a lot of water it benefits your body in every way bonus points if you add lemon. If you crave soda Olipop is a good alternative.
Eat little meals made with whole foods throughout the day it really does make a difference.
Go on hot girl walks get fresh air and sunshine every day.
Drink green juices and smoothies it’s the easiest way to get in all your fruits and veggies plus you can add supplements.
Skincare is self care it’s literally the canvas for your makeup so invest in your products. Keep it simple and be consistent with your routine.
Learn to read food labels ideally you want to know how to pronounce every ingredient.
Drink less alcohol bloating and hangovers aren’t hot.
Educate yourself on vitamins and supplements to target what you want to improve. For immune system you want vitamin c and zinc and for beauty you want a collagen supplement.
Lip filler: research your provider make sure you vibe with them and feel comfortable. Start slow and gradually build to your desired shape and size. (not everyone needs filler/botox only if you want it)
Contacts over glasses is my personal preference.
Choose a signature scent for every season.
Keratin hair treatments they make styling so easy and your hair looks shiny and perfect for weeks.
Natural nail colors are the most flattering. OPI and Essie make the best nudes.
Invest in classic basics for your closet black and white t-shirts denim and shoes. Think about cost per wear quality vs quantity ect. Zara is my favorite store for inexpensive trendy pieces.
Wear signature jewelry mine are gold hoops diamond studs and dainty necklaces. Mejuri is my favorite jeweler.
Cleaning and organizing your home is therapy. Light a Fall candle and deep clean your space once a week and you will feel refreshed.
Exfoliate your face and body a few times a week
Ice roll and gua sha your face it instantly de puffs and lifts.
Plant medicine personally I love cannabis and it’s been a positive life changing medicine for me.
Therapy: I believe everyone can benefit from it.
Never stop learning read often about whatever topics you’re interested in.
For improved hair skin and nails put collagen powder in your coffee or smoothies every day.
Put fresh eucalyptus and lavender in your shower or a few drops of essential oils for the best most relaxing bath.
Brush and floss often and occasionally use Crest white strips for whitening your teeth.
Journaling is so important on paper or even in your notes app on your phone.
Learn manifesting techniques your mindset is everything.
Get a professional bra fitting and match your lingerie it will make you feel confident and hot.

hydration
drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, use products rich in ingredients such as hyalurinic acid, glycerin and ceramides which strengthen your skin's natural moisture barrier. In winter give priority to the product which gives priority hydration and nutrition of the skin. Don't forget to moisturize your lips and protect your skin with a broad-spectrum sunscreen offering at least SPF 30.
shower routine
Your shower routine literally determines how you smell throughout the day. Find a signature scent and find suitable products. I love the products from Sol de Janeiro, Dove and Philosophy. You can also use the ordinary glycolic acid as a deodorant personally I only use it twice a week and I use a deodorant from Dove. Do a body scrub every week to get rid of dead skin. I recommend the one from Tree Hut which is good too. Use a body lotion and also a scented mist.
take care of yourself
take a day to take care of your nails, your hairstyle to do your eyelashes etc. you can also go to a spa to have a massage or something else. really take advantage of this day to have fun, rest and make yourself beautiful.
workout
you don't need to spend hours at the gym, invest 20 to 30 minutes of your day to move your body every day. you can find workout videos on YouTube of 30 min,I also recommend the 5000 step workout.
Makeup
start by applying your moisturizer before putting on makeup, then use a foundation with a dewy finish, put on concealer, brow tint or clear brow gel, mascara, For the blush, opt for a creamy blush Because the creamy finish will give you glow,Don't forget the nourishing lip gloss or lip oil to make lips shiny and vibrant.

This is inspired by the anon from the otter one - imagine just getting sleepy so you go to sleep on the couch and wake up in Neuveliette's arms
I'm not saying I want to nap on Neuvi's thighs, but I would jump at the chance.
In a post archon Fontaine, Neuvillette often finds that his schedule is a bit more flexible than it was in the days before the disaster. Furina's independence, as well as his own, leaves him with more time to do as he pleases. It instills a joyeux de vivre in him that he had sorrowfully lacked for many years. 
He embraces the unique Fontainian ideology of relaxation and pleasure; in moderation of course. The country still needs to be governed, the paperwork still needs to be handled, but when there is time for recreation, Neuvillette seizes it with both hands and he doesn't let go. That means trying new things, seeing new places, or just spending his afternoons in the comfort of you.
In this new world, Neuvillette has made the discovery that you like to take naps in the afternoons. Somewhere in the back of his mind he recalled knowing that. Before the disaster, there had been the odd chance that Neuvillette could slip away early. The paperwork hadn't been heavy that day or the case he had been set to try hadn't gone ahead. The reason wasn't especially important. The opportunity to be with you was all he wanted and when it came, he happily availed himself of it. If he was lucky, he would return home to find you in one of your many spots, peacefully napping in either the sun or near the fire if it was cold.
Your relationship with him had been vastly different then. The two of you had yet to reach the accord where you would allow him to be in the same space as you. Because of that, the temptation to be near you, to touch you overrode any common sense he had when it came to allowing you to sleep undisturbed. Instead, Neuvillette would try to squeeze himself in next to you. The effort was clumsy and more often than not, you woke up before he could ever get you in position, but there were a few blissful seconds where he had you as he wanted you. Then, it had been enough. He had those rare moments with you, just as he had the night. Between the two it had been enough to see him through the long days that followed. 
Since the disaster had struck, your relationship with him and the silent agreement you had with each other had changed. While you were resistant to the idea of Neuvillette being so near, so often, you would on occasion be comfortable enough with him that you would fall asleep next to him or wake up curled into his side. His previous clumsiness when it came to moving you in your sleep had been replaced with a schooled technique that allowed you to remain blissfully unaware of him sliding in beside you. If anything he found that you tended to snuggle into him a little after he’d done so, if only to chase his warmth. He treasured those moments with you. In his mind he could pretend that the wall between you didn’t exist. That you were his and he was yours and the world around you existed only for this moment. 
For your part in all of this, you too embrace the new Neuvillette. His curiosity for the world around him resulted in an expansion of your privileges that hadn't existed in the world before the disaster. He liked to take you on long walks through the countryside with him or he would bring home new foods or new fashions for you to try. The change in monotony is a welcomed thing in your world. It added a sense of normalcy that hadn’t existed previously. You could for a time forget that you weren’t his captive and he your captor. You could lay next to him on the sofa, resting your head against his thigh as you listened to him read the latest detective novel or he shared the tamest of gossip with you. The dulcet tone of his voice was such that you could easily drift off into a dreamless sleep, content in the knowledge that when you woke up you would be safe and sound.

You don’t remember the last time you ever felt like you wanted to cry for a boy. Or in this case, a man. That was because you never did. I mean, not for a man but you did for boys. Always setting their standards to perfect. That pissed you off.
So when you heard about the rumors of Enzo only having an eye for blonde-headed girls with skinny waists and perfect bodies, you felt as if your chance of being with him was gone. Yet you couldn’t help but like him, and you were mad at yourself for that. Your heart would ache with the feeling that every time you thought you had finally found someone with a good kind heart would turn out to want something you just didn’t have. You started thinking the only way to get rid of those feelings was to ignore him, and you started to do so.
Every day after work, if the guys invited you somewhere and you knew Enzo would be there, your immediate answer would always be. “Lo siento tengo cosas que hacer.” or “No me siento bien.”
Which was all bullshit. The guys themselves knew it was bullshit, but they didn’t want to push it. Matias knew the truth though. He once caught you crying after a scene and you couldn’t lie to him, you told him everything. He tried his very best to make you feel better, almost using every small technique he would know due to his relationship with Male. You were thankful, but nothing would help. After those days that you had cut all kinds of contact with Enzo, you felt as if you were getting better.
It's possible that your feelings for him may have faded, but you won't know for sure until you see or talk to him. However, you don't want to take that risk.
You were currently in the process of gathering your belongings to head back to your hotel room for a relaxed afternoon. You had planned on spending the day watching a movie, maybe sipping on some wine. While making your way towards the exit, Juani appeared in front of you with a grin on his face, causing you to come to a sudden halt and emit a squeaky noise from your sneakers.
“Juani, no espantes por Dios.” You sighed staring at the blue-eyed boy. “¿Que se te ofrece?” Your hand clutched the strap of your duffle bag that rested on your shoulder.
“Que vengas de joda con nosotros.” His brows raised and yours furrowed. “Dale que ya no sales con nosotros nunca. Te la vives en el hotel.”
He was right. Being alone in your hotel room every night made you feel like you were back in high school, when you would stay home every day because you had no one to hang out with. But now, you do have people to spend time with, and yet you're pushing them away. All because of a man.
You blinked a couple of times before you swallowed for your answer. “Bueno, dale.”
Juani throws a thumbs up in the air and smiles behind you which makes you confused. His action made you turn around and you noticed some of the guys there. Juani focused his attention on you and then spoke—
“A las 7:00 p.m.” He points at you before heading back to the group of guys who you assumed were waiting for him.
The music was blasting in your ears, and you could feel the thumping rhythm echoing through your chest. This was just the kind of hang-out you needed, a break from all the overthinking about the Enzo situation and the draining work. It was time to let loose and have some fun.
Until—
“Hasta que te dejas ver nena.” Enzo.
Your cheeks held the bitter liquor and you swallowed slowly as you looked at him. A nervous laugh escapes your lips before you respond. “Sí. ¿Verdad?”
“Te diría que me estuvieras evitando eh.” Which you were doing.
“No-no. Cómo crees.” You lied as a scowl followed your complexions.
You were relieved when the rest of the boys joined you and were quick to take Enzo’s attention. A sigh escaped your lips as you waved for the bartender to fill up your cup again. You didn’t take long to down it all and ask for another, that was until you felt a figure sit on to the stool next to you. Your face turned towards their direction and it was a guy.
“Una chica como tú no debe de andar sola eh.” He raises his brows for a second before his index finger points towards you.
You chuckled dryly as you responded. “No, no estoy sola. Estoy con ellos.” You motion towards the boys, while glancing back. That’s when you realized Enzo was gone.
“Tienes a tu equipo de guardaespaldas.” He jokes causing a giggle to leave your lips. “Te invito otra.” pointing towards your glass he calls the bartender to refill your glass.
“Gracias pero no tenías por qué.” You smiled kindly.
“Para nada. Eres linda y te ves como el tipo de chica que es divertida.” He shrugged taking a sip of his drink. “¿Como te llamas?”
“T/N.”
“Alejandro.”
“Mucho gusto.” You took a sip of your drink.
After a moment you turned to look around and you saw everybody on the dance floor move without a care in the world. You wanted to dance, and it seemed like Alejandro noticed it too.
“¿Bailamos?” He requested. You thought about it for a moment, and you weren’t going to deny that he was cute. But this was also someone who could maybe be interested in you. Plus, this was supposed to be a fun night out.
“Sí.” You grabbed his hand and walked over to the dance floor.
The boys watched as you walked away with Alejandro. Some looked surprised and some had smirks on their lips. The music changed into a Spanish one. Bachata to be exact. Propuesta Indecente by Romeo Santos played. Everyone who had a partner started to dance and move their hips sensually. Alejandro’s hands began resting on the curve of your hips and you positioned yours to lock behind his neck.
The two of you began to move your hips to the music and you would roll your body against his. Though you hadn’t noticed it, Enzo was staring at the both of you dance. He had gone to the bathroom and when he came back, he wasn't pleased with what he saw.
“Te la robaron pelotudo.” Juani makes fun of him. Enzo only turned to look at him with a cold stare. “No me mires así que no es mi culpa.”
“¿Quien es ese?” Enzo asked with a motion of his chin towards the both of you.
“No sabemos, vino y se le acercó a la nena.” Rocco took a sip of his drink and then answered.
Enzo could only continue staring at the two of you before he thought of something. He downed his drink before he turned to look at Juani. “Fíjate que a mí nadie me la roba.”
“Espérate pero que haces salame.” Matías’ voice only got quieter as Enzo walked closer to the both of you and got farther from them.
Your heart leaped into your throat as you and Enzo locked eye while stopping Alejandro.
“¿No te molesta si dejas que te la robe?” Enzo directed a question towards Alejandro, but his gaze seemed to be fixed on you.
“Eh— no, no. Para nada.” After a brief pause, he strode off the dancefloor.
“¿Pero que haces? Sí estábamos bailando perfectamente.” You questioned with furrowed eyebrows. He was ruining your moment.
“Ay, dale chiquita que eso no fue bailar bien—” He grabbed your hand, setting his on your waist before he pulled you towards him making you bump your chest onto his. His action made you look up at him. “Yo te enseño a bailar con un hombre.”
His leg was set between yours and you felt how he began to move the two of you. With his hands on your hips, you didn’t even need to move them, he guided you. His whole body rolled on yours, and you felt how his hand turned you around so you would back face him. This was new. Your lips were opened in surprise as his breathing hit your neck. Your hair was all messy and a few strings rested on your face. You could even feel how the exposed skin of your stomach came in contact with the pads of his fingers.
He pulled back as he began to twirl you around for a few seconds. Your hair moved everywhere with you as he kept increasing the speed of your twirl. Until he stopped and pulled you back towards him when the beat dropped. Your breathing was insane as you looked up to him, he only stared at you with a smirk while he continued to rest his hands on the curves of your waist.
Before the song ended, he added a final twist where he ended up pulling you by the back of your neck and connecting your foreheads. As the music changed, you became aware of your breath and adjusted it to a more comfortable level.
He chuckled when he noticed that you were left speechless.“¿Que, te comió la lengua el ratón?”
You stammered around your words but managed to spit them out. “No sabía que bailabas tan bien.”
“No es algo que haga con cualquiera.” He shrugged not thinking too much about it.
You gazed at him, your cheeks flushed with warmth. “Pues eres muy bien bailador.”
As he gazed at you, a surge of adrenaline coursed through his veins, emboldening him to ask the question that had been on his mind—
“¿Me dejas llevarte a comer?” He speaks without thinking once again.
“¿Me estás invitando a salir?” To be fair, you seemed genuinely confused about everything that was happening.
“Sí.” He nodded not thinking much of his answer.
You experienced a mix of emotions - happiness because he asked you out, but confusion because you thought he had a specific taste, which wasn't you.
“Pensé que solo te gustaban las rubias.” You had decided to speak your thoughts. That question had made Enzo confused, and his expression briefly revealed his bewilderment—
“¿Como?”
“¿Sí. Rubias, con cuerpos perfectos” A nod followed your words. Enzo laughed, causing anger to rise in your face.“¿De que te ríes?”
“¿De donde sacas tremenda cosa nena?” As he talks, he draws out the final word, while putting his hand in the air and scrunching his eyebrows.
“todos lo dicen.” You say, which only adds to his confusion.
He clicked his tongue as he opened his mouth. “Ya y con todos imagino que decís las fans.” He pinched the bridge of his nose, then looked at you. “Nena, no puedes creer todo lo que ves en el internet.”
You swallowed, a bit embarrassed. “Tienes razón.”
“Esta bien. ¿Pero qué dices? Déjame llevarte a una cita. Y te demuestro que no solo me gustan las rubias con cuerpos perfectos.” He came closer.
He had a sincere expression on his face, indicating that he was telling the truth. You couldn't deny that you were pleased to hear that the rumors about the man you liked were false. You still had a chance with him, and you weren't going to let it slip away.
“Dale.” You smiled as his lips mirrored your expression.

Im fucked.
That's it, that's all i can say.
I knew it as soon as my hand reached his face and stinged, as soon as i heard a camera's flash, and as soon as i stepped into my mom's apartment.
Let's just rewind a bit, okay?
My family own a big business, that you already know by now, the thing is, when they reeaally want to do business with someone they go extreme, the most common technique is to get on the good side of everyone in the family, everyone.
They research, pretend to have things in common, to like the same things, to have the same views of life, and to make it more believable they always go for the person who is closest in age with them.
Usually i dont get involved in this situations because im younger than everyone else, the only teen in the family.
The thing is, this family also had someone around my age.
A 18 year old guy.....eighteen.
Let me tell you, i really wasn't going for trouble today, i tought he may be a normal guy, just with a little money, someone i could have a conversation with, drink some coffe, laugh and go back home and think "hey, not so bad"
He.was.not.
All he could talk about is how much money his family had, where he went for winter break, his pure blood horse, that only ate (attention to this one) IMPORTED GRASS.
Overall a huge dick.
But that i could handle, i've met people like this, i could handle a shitty talk for some hours, what i could not handle was having to go through all this with his hand on my knee bellow the table.
And here i was, spending one of my last days of spring being tortured by the fates.
"You're not paying much attention to the conversation are you?" He said, and gods that accent was almost making me want to jump out of a cliff, or push him out of a cliff, both would work.
"Oh sorry i was-"
"No need to apologize, people get bored i know" Not that he did something criminal by not letting me finish my sentence but, my gods every action coming from him its making me want to die right now "Its okay, i could find some way to make you focus"
Okay, im done
"Im gonna need you to stop saying odd shit" I looked him dead in the eye with a bothered look, and by the surprised look he gave me back i was 100% sure nobody ever told him to shut up when he was saying nonsense.
"C'mon, dont be like that-" he said trying to get his hand a little but upwards, and i only realized i slapped him when i felt my hand burning.
"Oh my gods im sorry i-" And then i heard the camera flashes.
Im going to need you to imagine the scene, my hand was still up, his hand was till on his cheek, and he had a scared look in his face, as did most of the people at the fancy coffe shop.
Do i smile now? Strike a pose? This one is definetly getting front pages at every place.
I chose the safest choice, got out of that straight to my house.
No..i did not payed the bill.
The whole way home i was trying really hard to think of something to say that was not going to make my family mad, especially my grandfather, but considering whe has always mad with something, that felt like a impossible mission.
First thing i saw when i opened the door of the penthouse was my mom, standing in front of the television, and sure enough, my face was on it.
She turned to me, but before she could even say something i started to explain myself.
"Its not what it looks like mom, i swear, i didn't do it on pourpose, let me explain please-" i couldnt actually read the look on her face, but she didnt say anything, so  i took that as a go ahead.
When i explained her what happened her face relaxed a bit, but not completely, and she had a look that said your grandpa is getting in my nerves because of this.
"I'll talk to your grandfather about this, but you need to know that the way you acted wasn't appropriate, there is cameras all around and you need to be careful...lets just thank the gods you didnt pulled out a dagger right?" She walked closer to me, and i knew she was trying to comfort me, its a pitty actually, i knew she didnt wanted kids when she had me, i knew how grandpa treated her when he found out, to me, it was enough that she at least tried to love me enough.  "You already have your things packed to camp right? I know you have some more days of school but ill call them and tell them you are sick, its best for you to leave earlier this year, then your grandfather wont talk your ears out...you okay with that?"
"Yes mama, ill just finish packing some small things...do i leave today?" I felt her hands on my shoulders, and heard a silent im sorry.
"Yes, but dont be like that, think that you at least wont have to see the news talking about you..youll just be there, with your siblings, eating strawberies and..whatever else demigods do daily, right?"
Like i said, it is enough to me that she tries, even when she isnt great all the time, i know people who dont even have this.
I nodded and went to my room, making sure not to accidentally hit a new sculpture, placed in the corridor.
I didnt wait for her when i finished packing.
I knew she wouldnt be the one to take me there, she never is, she has things to do with the family business, its what ive always heard.
So when i got to the underground garage with my bags i automatically searched for one of the family drivers, sure enough, he was there.
He was a nice guy, but quiet, i knew that he probably had orders not to talk to the family members unless spoken to, grandpa did this with all of them, i also knew he never actually knows where hes been taking me, he takes me there almos every year, but always stops at the road in front of the forest, maybe this sad look he has on his face its because he thinks he is taking me to one of those crazy wilderness therapies as a punishment.
Granpa would absolutely do that if he hadnt had to live with a great public appearence.
"Miss? We are here" He looked at me in the rearview mirror, i only realized i had doze of when my eyes met his and i blinked. "Hold on tight, im going to help you with your luggage okay?"
"Oh..thank you mr bell" He opened the trunk, and then the back door for me, extending his hand to help me get out of the car "thank you, again"
"Sure miss, just let me take your bags out and we are all set okay?-"
Another car dor noise made us both look to the right, to find Clarisse La rue, closing a taxi door, with just one big suitcase in hand.
Now, my story with Clarisse is kind of complicated, i've met her when he were, eight i guess, her family bought some shares in the family business and we saw each other very regulaly, and ever since then everything everyone told me about her is that she is a troublesome girl, that i should stay far.
But she was the one who realized i was a demigodess, and took me straight to camp when a monster found me, and she was the one who, many times when we were little, comforted me when my family made me cry.
It seems like she forgot all of that because she never even looks at me.
If you ask her, she has never even met me at all actually.
"Clarisse, you're early"
"Cassandra, you too-"
"Cass actually, i prefer cass" i corrected her, to wich she just rolled her eyes and muffled a whatever. "Thats all you are taking? One suitcase?"
"And you are taking all that? How do you plan on walking the whole way with all that? Im assuming he wont go with you" she said looking at mr bell, and its true, he could not walk the whole way with me, and i could not walk with all that alone...fuck
"....you could help m-"
"No, dont even think about it"
"C'mon Clarisse!" She didnt even answered me this time actually. "Arent you a Ares-" i looked at the driver taking the suitcases out. "A ares...type of kid? You will pass on the oportunity to demonstrate your muscles or whatever?"
She started to walk away with a bored look, did i already said fuck?
"C'mon ill do whatever! I- i dont know.. 20 dracmas!, no?, ill help you with the cleaning duty you'll eventually have when you fuck it up? I..ill do that AND ill cure you anytime you want, everyday, no matter the time!"
She stopped walking.
Yes! I knew it, one of the many problems clarisse had its that she likes to go out at night to train alone, and when she gets hurt she cant ask anyone to help her, because she would get caught
"Give me those suitcases already and shut up-" she was interrupted by a very happy me hugging her.
"Thankyouthankyouthankyouclarisse!"
I felt her hands on my arms and realized she was going to push me away, so i took a step back
"Geez Clarisse, you could've just told me to back off, dont be like that... just take these and ill take those"
I said pointing to the suitcases, and saying goodbye to mr bell.
Can i already welcome summer and his crazy energy? No? Okay.

"Probably one of my biggest writing-related takeaways of 2023 was the brain science behind being overwhelmed by writing. So often, we put so much pressure on ourselves to meet goals, and get so frustrated with ourselves when we fail, that we end up making writing time something that fills us with anxiety. So our brains perceive that activity as a threat, which makes us want to avoid it."
I'd love to learn more about this cause it's my biggest problem when it comes to writing. The avoidance of the task, but it also manifests also as feeling overwhelmed by writing a long story/novel.
Some Brain Science Behind Avoidance
I encountered this idea of fear-based avoidance in a few workshops and summits over the past year, but I have to give a shout out to author/coach Monica Hay whose "Overcome Writer's Resistance Bootcamp" explained it the best. I can't find my notes so I'm going from memory here, but the gist of it was that our brains are hard-wired to avoid things that make us feel fearful or uneasy. This is an evolutionary throwback to when those instinctual feelings helped us steer clear from danger. As I remember Monica putting it, "Don't go that way, there are cheetahs there that will eat us."
So... how does this apply to avoidance of writing?
When we heap unreasonable goals and deadlines on ourselves, and berate ourselves for falling short of them, we inadvertently turn writing into a stressful activity. So, when we sit down to write, our brain picks up on that stress and says, "Don't go that way, cheetahs will eat us," and your gut instinct tells you to avoid this stressful activity at all cost. And then it becomes kind of a vicious cycle because you feel even worse because you're avoiding writing, and that makes you feel more overwhelmed and makes writing more stressful, and well... you can see the problem.
The solution? De-stress the writing process for yourself as much as you can. Start by de-stressing yourself when you sit down to write... take a relaxing walk first, do some yoga or a meditation exercise, or try some grounding techniques. See if you can do some things to make your writing environment more relaxing and inviting. Put on some soft lighting and relaxing music, use your favorite method to lightly scent the air, grab your favorite drink and snack. Then, just try to move the needle forward in any way you can.
My suggestions: try editing a sentence. Maybe see if you can add a paragraph or two. Don't think about deadlines or word count or what others are doing. Just focus on adding something to the page, even if it's changing a word or adding a sentence. Don't push yourself. Congratulate yourself on whatever progress you made. Ultimately, if you do this every day, the stress should start to melt away and writing becomes an activity that your brain no longer tells you to avoid.
Another suggestion: try to avoid setting arbitrary deadlines, or if you have to set a deadline, take a look at your schedule/calendar and be really honest about how much time you actually have to write. Because so often what happens is we say, "I want to finish this 80k word draft in eight weeks..." but the reality is we're not going to write all 56 of those days. In fact, when we take an honest look...
-3 days per week for days with both class and work = 32 days -5 days for a cruise next month = 27 days -1 day for bestie's birthday celebration = 26 days -Sundays because that's hiking day = 18 days Suddenly, that eight weeks is actually only 18 days... and that's not even taking account things that come up unexpectedly. But, let's say you do get to write all 18 days, and let's say you know you can commit three hours a day to writing but you'll probably take two ten-minute brakes... so 48 hours worth of writing. But here's the problem: you know on a good hour, you're probably only going to write 1200 words. And guess what: 1200 words per hour over 48 hours is only 57,600 words... far short of your 80k goal... and that's assuming you get to write all 18 days and hit 1200 words every hour you write. In other words... you've set yourself an impossible deadline, and when you fall short of it without understanding why, you're going to be disappointed in yourself. And that's why it's so, so important to be honest about the time you have and how much you can reasonably accomplish within that time. Also: just don't be hard on yourself. It will never make you write faster, more, or better.
