maybe unpopular opinion but probably one of the least useful pieces of advice I've ever got as an auDHD person to the question of "how tf does one make friends" was to go and join clubs/groups that do hobbies I enjoy. Not only does this not actually answer the question of how to make friends (yknow, how to approach people, how to start a conversation, how to appear friendly enough that they don't immediately reject you for existing, how to actually keep them as friends later on, etc), but also the chance of me choosing to force myself into the discomfort of "making smalltalk with random strangers" is absolutely nonexistent when the alternative of engaging with a hyperfixation is not only socially acceptable but even encouraged

In other news, I knitted myself a toy crow then knitted that crow a tiny hat and named the toy crow Jesper, so I’m clearly doing great.

And yes, there will be 5 more eventually but I’m busy and I need to buy more yarn so it could be a while.

several years old unfinished project (bc of Shit Life Syndrome) to knit a mini version of the jorvik ranger knitted sweater! i dont have the ref images on me anymore but i think the back part has the JR logo maybe? assuming thats why i had left it until last

i am a doll lover and most stuff i knit (back when i used to knit regularly) has been mini clothes :3 im wanting to get back into it now and do stuff for myself and reclaim my own life from abuse ive been through. i used to love knitting and dolls so much but ive been fighting for my whole life with apathy and exhaustion even towards things i love the most :(

I want to write a long ass staticmoth backstory fic just to do a joke where Vox tries to hypnotize Val and because Val is so baffled in the moment that someone would try to do that to him, he goes along with what Vox told him what to do. Later Vox tries again to hypnotize him but this time Val doesn't react and when Vox freaks out about it Val says "don't tell me you didn't know whores are faking it all the time lol"

I used weight 4 yarn and 3mm straight needles for the body (it was hell), whereas the bow is weight 6 on 6mm needles. I had an old spiral crystal necklace that I didn't use, so he has an actual amethyst crystal for his magestone. He is around 40 or 50 centimetres tall, and very potato-shaped. He is potato-shaped so he can't run away from me or the crimes that he commits.

I didn't use a pattern for this, it was all eyeballed (I came to regret this when it came to the limbs). But I do have a very rough mock-up for a pattern (it's just shapes though).

To awaken him, I played Circle of Life and gifted him tuna. It was a whole-ass dance sequence.

i’m no fanartist, but i couldn’t help but get in on the dracula book club hype with a knitalong after finding Dracula’s Bride by Renee Linville on ravelry!!

my wonderful datemate gifted me a gorgeous gothic-lit-inspired skein pack for christmas last year, and this is the PERFECT project for it. after a lot of winding, a little math, and a few rounds of swatching to test-drive the needle size and gradient technique, we’re off to the races to the tune of our boy jonathan’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad business trip to transylvania - played to perfection by ben galpin in @re-dracula‘s audio drama production!!

i meant to post these earlier to properly track my progress, but i forgot XD
