The Power in Being Pretty 🦚
Only Unsuccessful People Can Afford to be Insecure
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder; so best beheld remarkable. Every day I strive to show up as the best version of myself in private and public. This simple objective has amplified my self-concept and work ethic. Whether we blame it on the patriarchy, or blame it on society, there's no denying that humankind is visually motivated. You will see more people in a day than you speak to, and what you pick up will dictate how you perceive that person. Beauty is a performance; it is a sacred dance that men and women alike use to glamourize their reality.
Glamour~ an attractive or enticing quality that makes certain people or things appealing. The decision to be glamourous is an enchanting feat. It requires self-discipline, self-love, and self-respect. The energy you carry is a reflection of your state of being. To glamourize oneself is to energetically enhance existence.

To truly benefit from the effects of glamour, you must call back your energy cleansed, recalibrated, and only belonging to you; to be used only by you for self-empowerment. Energetic Alchemy is a prerequisite for prosperity. Mastery of this skill is the essence of glamour. Glamour encapsulates the mind, that is where we start.
Self-care means doing the things that make you feel most like yourself. Spend time with yourself, away from the noise. When you begin your self-care ritual; allow your energy to flow authentically. Let your mind race and take you on a journey through your psyche. Converse with yourself, every part of you is a unique entity. Embrace the All. You are a gem, a single stone made up of a multitude of facets; every one as beautiful as the last. No fragment can exist without the other.

Hygienic maintenance is the foundation of abundance. Dedicate yourself to cleansing your mind, body, and spirit. Remove the junk and gunk to make space for you to shine. A diamond in the rough is merely a gem unable to be seen.

how to save 101
so i recently had a poll asking what you'd do if you have $10,000, and over half of the respondents said that they'd save it for something big
if you're saving for something big — like college, a car, starting a side hustle, or even financial freedom — here's some unexpected advice that actually does something. not cute. not tiny. real.
open a HYSA (high-yield savings account) at a credit union or online bank. no, not your regular bank. they usually pay literal cents in interest. but online banks like Ally or SoFi (or your local credit union) offer 4–5% APY as of now. if you’re saving over time, that compound interest builds and beats inflation. it’s not glamorous, but it works. set it. forget it. grow.
invest in an I-Bond. you heard right — a government bond. it’s basically a super-safe investment you can buy with as little as $25. I-Bonds adjust with inflation and earn interest over time. teens can buy them through a parent or guardian's TreasuryDirect account. way better than letting your money rot in checking.
don’t save — prepay. saving up for something long-term? like a course, a trip, or even SAT tutoring? instead of stashing cash, prepay now if there’s a discount or price lock. a lot of services let you pay in advance, especially if they’re small businesses. this saves you from price hikes — and yourself.
build credit (yes, really). if you’re 18 or close to it, use $10,000 as a starter safety net for a secured credit card. this builds your credit history early — a big deal for apartments, student loans, and future jobs. make one small charge monthly (like Spotify), pay it off, never miss. boring? yes. life-changing? also yes.
micro-fund a revenue-generating skill. take that $10,000 and turn it into money. Examples:
buy a domain + hosting for a blog you monetize
invest in a course that teaches design, data entry, or UX
get supplies for a hyper-niche Etsy shop (e.g. enamel pin display boards or zines)
buy an external mic and start voiceover freelancing
a 10,000 bucks won’t change your life. but how you use it might.

7 ways to reduce your screen time...
If you create content for a living, schedule your posts in one sitting so you don't have to spend as much time putting them out throughout the day.
Turn on your phone's grayscale setting — this overrides our natural inclination to click on the brightly colored app icons of addictive socials like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and more.
Use a minimalist phone app. This removes icons altogether, and forces you to intentionally look for what you need from a list of apps as opposed to mindlessly clicking. I'm currently using an app called Oasis Launcher from the Google Play Store.
Turn off notifications from social media, so you are only prompted to spend time on those apps through your own natural inclination.
Oftentimes we reach for our phones because our hands are idle, not because we actually want to spend the time on them — find something to keep your hands busy. For me this is crochet, but it could be a book, a painting, or some other kind of project.
If you find that you spend a lot of time on certain social media apps, try uninstalling the app itself, and only using that form of media through your phone browser. I used to spend a lot of time window shopping on Amazon, and the added inconvenience of not having it available in one click has really helped deter me from spending so much time on it — now I only jump on and use it when I truly need to order something for the household.
Reevaluate your screen time at the end of every week. Many phones have a "digital well-being" feature now that allows you to set time limits on apps, and see how your screen time compares to previous weeks. This can be a great way to evaluate where you need to trim down your usage.

7 ways to organize your life...
Find a job that allows you to work the same days every week. I work a set schedule with my clients on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and my entrepreneurial ventures allow me to work flexibly around those days so I can arrange my home schedule to my liking 4 days a week.
Create a schedule for the main cleaning, yard care, and bill related tasks. For instance, I wash our bedsheets every Monday, and my husband tackles our yard care needs every other Saturday. Many of these tasks are reoccurring, and knowing when you will do them allows you to make time for smaller tasks that require no schedule.
Set yourself up for success the night before. Prep your coffee maker, set out your clothes, tidy up the house, and clean your kitchen so that breakfast doesn't have to wait on the dishes in the sink! A streamlined, stress-free morning is the start of a stress-free, productive day. Give yourself more time than you think you'll need so you don't need to rush, and have adequate time to prepare for the day ahead.
Stop "living in the now" and start planning ahead. Oftentimes a lack of organization stems from a general lack of preparation. Have a list of goals for your day, week, month, and year. When you feel the urge to scroll mindlessly on TikTok for the next few hours, ask yourself what you can do to accomplish the things on your list instead. In ten years, you won't regret not spending more time on TikTok, you'll regret not spending more time improving your life circumstances.
Control your screen time and dedicate that time to your goals. This will vary from person to person, but you may need to spend more time working out, studying for that next big exam, visiting with your loved ones, working on your business venture, connecting with your faith, etc. These days so many people are addicted to their screens, and it can be a huge hindrance to and distraction from our true ambitions in life. To learn more about how to reduce your screen time, check out my post where I share a few methods that helped me limit my own.
Refuse to see yourself as incompetent. Instead of telling yourself "I'm not the type of person who can start a business," ask yourself, "How can I become the type of person who can start a business?" It is easy to become dismissive of our own abilities over time, and by constantly telling yourself you are incapable you allow yourself to become truly incapable.
Allow yourself to relax. I've fallen into the trap many times, where I feel like I am wasting time if I'm not actively doing something productive every second of every day. While we shouldn't spend all of our time idle, it is fine to sleep in on occasion or take time to unwind and do something just for fun at the end of the day. Not every waking moment needs to be set in stone, and the best way to stay organized in the long term is to allow yourself some grace when you need a break.

Sharpen Your Words: 6 Editor Secrets for Writing That Gets Noticed
Alright, buckle up buttercups, because we're about to dive into the nitty-gritty of making your writing shine brighter than a bald eagle in July! You know, after all these years wrestling with words, crafting sentences that sing (and sometimes just mumble), I've learned a thing or two about what separates the good stuff from the "meh." And guess what? It boils down to a handful of pretty straightforward rules.

Now, I know what you might be thinking: "Rules? Ugh, sounds like homework." But trust me on this. These aren't the stuffy, grammar-textbook kind of rules. These are the secret sauce, the little tweaks that can transform your blog post from a lonely tumbleweed rolling across the internet desert into a vibrant oasis that folks actually want to visit.
So, ditch the thesaurus for a sec (we'll get to that!), grab a cup of coffee (or sweet tea, if that's your jam), and let's get down to making your writing stronger than a double shot of espresso.
Level Up Your Prose: 6 Editor-Approved Secrets to Sharper Writing
Let's face it, in today's digital world, attention spans are shorter than a tweet (well, almost!). You've got mere seconds to grab someone's eyeballs and convince them that what you've got to say is worth their precious time. That's where a little editorial elbow grease comes in. Think of me as your friendly neighborhood writing whisperer, here to share the wisdom I've gleaned from countless hours spent polishing prose.
Here are six golden rules that any seasoned editor swears by, and that you can start using today to make your writing pop:
1. Clarity is Queen (and King!): Ditch the Jargon and Speak Human
Okay, let's get this straight right off the bat. Nobody – and I mean nobody – is impressed when you trot out fancy, ten-dollar words just for the sake of sounding smart. In fact, it usually has the opposite effect. It makes your writing feel stuffy, inaccessible, and frankly, a little pretentious.
Think about it: when you're chatting with a friend, do you bust out words like "pontificate" when you could just say "talk"? Probably not. So why do it in your writing?
The Fix: Embrace plain language. Imagine you're explaining your idea to a smart but not necessarily expert friend. Use words they'll understand. Cut the technical jargon unless your audience is specifically in that field. Be direct and to the point.
Instead of: "The synergistic paradigm necessitates a holistic approach to resource allocation."
Try: "Working together effectively requires us to carefully plan how we use our resources."
See the difference? The second one is clear, concise, and gets the message across without making anyone reach for a dictionary.
2. Show, Don't Just Tell: Paint a Picture with Your Words
This is a classic for a reason. Telling your reader something is like handing them a fact on a dry cracker. Showing them is like serving up a delicious slice of pie with all the fixings. It engages their senses, makes your writing more vivid, and helps your message stick.
The Difference:
Telling: "She was angry." (Okay, we get it, but we don't feel it.)
Showing: "Her knuckles were white as she gripped the steering wheel, her jaw tight, and a muscle twitched in her cheek." (Now we see and feel her anger.)
The Fix: Instead of stating a feeling or a situation, describe the details that reveal it. Use sensory language – what does it look like, sound like, smell like, feel like? Engage your reader's imagination.
3. Conciseness Counts: Every Word Should Earn Its Keep
Think of your writing as a lean, mean fighting machine. Every word should have a purpose. Fluff and unnecessary filler just weigh it down and bore your reader.
The Culprits: Phrases like "in order to," "due to the fact that," "as a matter of fact," and adverbs that don't add much value.
The Fix: Be ruthless with your editing. Read through your work and ask yourself: "Does this word/phrase really need to be here?" If the answer is no, cut it. You'll be amazed at how much stronger and more impactful your writing becomes.
Instead of: "It is important to note that the data clearly indicates a significant increase in user engagement."
Try: "The data clearly indicates a significant increase in user engagement."
Boom. Cleaner, punchier, and no meaning lost.
4. Variety is the Spice of Life (and Your Sentences!): Mix It Up
Imagine eating the exact same meal every single day. Pretty boring, right? The same goes for your writing. If all your sentences have the same structure and length, your reader's eyes will glaze over faster than you can say "monotonous."
The Fix: Pay attention to your sentence structure. Mix short, impactful sentences with longer, more descriptive ones. Vary the way you start your sentences. Use different types of clauses. This creates a rhythm and flow that keeps your reader engaged.
Instead of: "The sun was setting. It cast long shadows. The birds were singing. It was a peaceful scene."
Try: "As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long, dancing shadows, the gentle melody of birdsong filled the peaceful air."
See how the second version is more engaging and paints a richer picture?
5. Know Your Audience: Write Like You're Talking to Them
Who are you writing for? This is a fundamental question that should guide every word you write. Are you talking to tech-savvy millennials? Busy professionals? Stay-at-home parents? Your language, tone, and the types of information you include should all be tailored to your specific audience.
The Fix: Before you start writing, take some time to think about your ideal reader. What are their interests? What are their pain points? What kind of language do they use? Write in a way that resonates with them, as if you're having a conversation directly with them.
For a younger audience: Use more informal language, maybe some slang (sparingly!), and keep it energetic.
For a professional audience: Maintain a more formal tone, but still aim for clarity and conciseness. Focus on providing valuable insights and solutions.
6. Read It Out Loud: Your Ears Will Catch What Your Eyes Miss
This is a trick that seasoned writers and editors swear by. When you read your writing silently, your brain tends to fill in gaps and gloss over errors. But when you read it aloud, you force yourself to pay attention to every single word and how it sounds together.
The Fix: Once you've finished writing and editing, take a break, then come back and read your work aloud. You'll be surprised at how many awkward phrases, repetitive words, and grammatical errors you catch. It also helps you identify areas where your writing might sound clunky or unnatural.
Bonus Tip: Embrace the Power of the Edit (and Maybe a Fresh Pair of Eyes!)
Let's be real, it's tough to be completely objective about your own writing. You know what you meant to say, so your brain sometimes overlooks what you actually wrote. That's why having a fresh pair of eyes – whether it's a friend, a colleague, or a professional editor – can be invaluable. They can catch things you missed and offer a different perspective.
But even if you don't have access to an external editor, make sure you give yourself some time and space between writing and editing. Step away from your work for a few hours or even a day, then come back to it with fresh eyes. You'll be amazed at how much clearer things become.
Wrapping Up: Write On, My Friends!
So there you have it – six editor-approved secrets to strengthening your writing. These aren't magic spells, but they are powerful tools that can help you craft clearer, more engaging, and ultimately more effective content.
Remember, becoming a strong writer is a journey, not a destination. It takes practice, patience, and a willingness to learn and improve. So, embrace these rules, experiment with your writing, and don't be afraid to make mistakes along the way. That's how we all learn and grow.
Now go forth and write something amazing! Your audience is waiting.

I’m 2016 I had a shoplifter role play blog because to avoid getting deleted all the shoplifting blogs claimed it was just to rp. Mine actually was though but I’d post shoplifting content and reblog tips and my “hauls” were just stuff I borrowed from my much more fashionable sister. I had a decent amount of followers and I got a lot of hate but I’d be like “ok buddy I’m just goofing around lol” and then post $150 of Sephora products legally purchased by my sister with the caption #gettingawaywithit. this did not improve my life but it did get me talking to people more often which, obviously, I needed
