Diasomnia’s Self-loathing/Hatred
While re-reading chapter 2 of book 7 and thinking of all the events that took place upto chapter 6, I can’t help but think that for such a prideful and confident dorm, they are filled with self-hatred.
Silver and his view of himself. How he hasn’t done enough for Lilia. How he can’t do something as simply as smile as Lilia wished before his departure. How he never returned the love that his father gave him. As if love is a transaction? How 17 years to Lilia might mean nothing, but we know how wrong that is, don’t we?
Additionally, we saw how angry Silver was at his baby self. How he told his baby self he didn’t deserve to cry. The frustration his heritage caused him because of the pain it caused his loved ones. Even though the ring showed Silver all the happy moments Lilia had with him, Silver just felt more depressed. Thinking he doesn’t deserve the love.
But Lilia loves Silver. He raised him, taught him to fight, stayed with him all night when he was sick and so much more. Always spoke of his love in his actions. And Silver realized that at the end of chapter 5, how these actions are confirmation of Lilia’s love for him.
Then we have Malleus, and you can tell from his actions how frustrated and angry he is. He can’t tell Lilia how he truly feels because it was Lilia’s wish to leave. He can’t express himself because of his status as a Prince. For so much power he has at his disposal, he literally says he’s useless. His emotions only shown through the weather change that only Silvee noticed.
And then we have the egg hatching incident, Malleus instead of acknowledging that despite all the pain Lilia went through his happiest moment was still Malleus’ birth, focused on the pain that his birth caused. He offered to give Lilia a happier dream with his parents or with Silver. To acknowledge such would mean he has to accept what he couldn’t have.
(I cant help but wonder if this also means that Lilia wasn’t treated well at the castle and that’s why Malleus visited the cottage instead. Why he grew up isolated because he didn’t want to cause Lilia more trouble because of the senate)
We have seen how much Lilia loves Malleus as well and again it is through actions. Constantly checking up on the egg and giving it compliments, telling the egg how much he’ll take care and love him, giving his life and magic to Malleus, singing him a lullaby, all the gifts he would bring back, and we have seen Lilia learn to love eating and cooking more because of Malleus because Malleus would be happy, and so much more.
And then we have Lilia and his self hatred, how he felt he failed Meleanor and Levan, how he was desperate to find a way to hatch malleus and cure silver, he went through exile, and he was insulted for “tainting” the heir.
And yet, he learned to adapt and learned to love. He heard the cries of his sons from afar. He cradled them in his arms and loves them, but his insecurity is still there. He doesn’t want to be vulnerable to them nor have them waste their time on him. And you can’t help but think, has he truly healed? Or does a part of him still have that self-hatred?
We have seen how loved Lilia is as well, how much Silver loves his father greatly and wants to be there for him, how much Malleus loves him and Silver and visits them at their cottage and help raises Silver, the pain they both felt at Lilia’s departure, how they always think of bringing back gifts because it makes everyone happy, and how they both wanted Lilia to always be happy.
With Sebek, it’s an identity issue because of his background and because of his struggle with magic. But also, I can also see it be a struggle of the expectations laid on him. He’s a half human and fae. Not only does he have to manage himself in two worlds but now he also represents the peace between two races. His actions and demeanor will always be a reflection of this bridge. So he has to work hard and meet both sides, but it isn’t easy and he’s always training to be better. But at least, Sebek knows what he has and how privileged he is to have it unlike the other three. Whom his ultimate wish was for them to be happy.
There’s a saying about learned habits of love, but it’s also surprising how Diasomnia also has learned habits of self-hate.
In a book about love, it’s ultimately sad to see these characters always giving others their all but do not accept it themselves nor do they believe they deserve it.

How to Spot: Air Signs Edition
Gemini Rising

- they can charm the room without anyone really knowing who they are, though people can get annoyed with their inconsistency or superficiality

- they have an opinion on everything, and want to make sure you know it; they’re overly prideful of their ideas, even when they’re wrong
- home life may feel like a boot camp and family members may find them naggy and hard to please; nothings every clean, organized, or perfect enough for them

- either they’re completely dedicated or they’re not interested at all

- they dominate conversations, usually lecturing others rather than engaging in dialogue
- they treat family like a job, prioritizing order and structure over emotional connection; they’re not the nurturing type, which make the environment feel dry or lacking affection
- their love and creative life is more about experimenting than connecting emotionally; they want to stand out as different and can be disconnected from emotional aspects

Circe's Observation: Mark's Chart Edition
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
⋆。‧˚ʚ🍓ɞ˚‧。⋆MASTERLIST °❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ All photos are from Pinterest ⋆。‧˚ʚ🍓ɞ˚‧。⋆
Tumblr media
How to check your Mark's Chart with someone?
Step 1: Go to Astro.com
Step 2: Go to the corrected Davison chart between you and your person
Step 3: Save the corrected Davison chart to your saved charts
Step 4: Then repeat the process but this time with your corrected Davison chart + your natal. Save that chart.
Step 5: Do the same with your person.
What is a Marks Chart and what does it represent?
The Marks chart shows one's perspective on the relationship and how it affects each individual in the relationship. It shows how one would act within the relationship. The 'you' while in the relationship.
Let's get into the observations!
Tumblr media
⋆。‧˚ʚ🍓ɞ˚‧。⋆SUN
✿ Sun represents your center focus of the relationship. It can tell you more reasons why you started and why you are in this relationship.
Examples:
A Libra sun could indicate wanting to start a relationship or partnership of some form with that person. You could want a relationship with that person because you see a long-term future with that person.
Whereas a Cancer sun could indicate you starting a relationship because you feel comfortable with them. It can also indicate forming the relationship to seek comfort. You could see them as someone who you want to start a family with.
A Pisces sun could indicate that being in a relationship with them is something you dreamed of or fantasized of. So in a way its like a "dream" relationship for you. A relationship you could have always wanted and you may feel like you manifested into your life.
✿ The Sun can also show how you view the relationship.
Example:
A Pisces sun in the Mark's chart could indicate seeing the relationship through an idealistic lens. It can also cause them to sweep over potential red flags from their partner to fit a certain fairy tale they created in their head.
A Taurus sun in the Mark's chart could indicate seeing the relationship as your "security". It could also indicate seeing the relationship as something transactional. You can also view this relationship as something grounding.
A Leo sun in the Mark's chart could indicate seeing the relationship as something that you're prideful about. You can also see the relationship as something fun and exciting. It can also get you the attention you wanted.
A Capricorn sun could indicate you viewing the relationship as something that could potentially boost your status. A relationship that could help your career ambitions.
✿ Switching Sun signs can indicate adopting traits and personality from each other.
Example:
If Person A is an Aries Sun natally but a Virgo Sun in their Marks Chart, while Person B is a Virgo Sun natally but an Aries Sun in their Marks Chart, they may act a lot like one another because they start to adopt each other's trait. Person A could become more routine-oriented and analytical while person B may become more impulsive and child-like.
✿ Sun + Mars may show more in detail about what you initially wanted out of the relationship. The sun represents one's self and your own focus while Mars shows what one desires. Both planets are more self-focused. So it's something that you subconsciously or consciously expect out of the relationship.
Tumblr media
⋆。‧˚ʚ🍓ɞ˚‧。⋆OBSERVATIONS
✿ Those that you have Pisces placements with (especially sun, moon, venus and Juno) in your mark's chart could indicate you seeing them with rose-tinted glasses as Neptune rules over illusion and fogginess.
✿ Having Aries placements in the Mark chart could indicate you being the more passionate one in the relationship.
✿ Also Aries placement in the Mark chart can also indicate being the “chaser” in the relationship. Usually, the one to initiate things to happen.
✿ Having multiple Scorpio placements in the Mark chart can indicate wanting a more private relationship with your partner.
✿ Having 10th house placements in Mark’s chart can indicate bringing the relationship to public (especially moon and venus).
✿ Scorpio placements in Mark’s chart can indicate a ride-or-die relationship but it can also indicate jealousy or envy. It can show complicated feelings or hard feelings towards each other and may also indicate not liking each other but keeping that feeling lowkey unless you have it in more public houses.
✿ Also, the partner with Scorpio placements (especially sun or venus) in their mark chart tends to seek control/power within the relationship. They can be seen as controlling and possessive. Usually, you’ll see them being the ones with power in the relationship the relationship always heads in the direction they want.
✿ Gemini venus a player in natal chart and still a player in the Mark’s chart 😎

Underground Empire: Henry Farrell and Abraham Newman's must-read account of "How America Weaponized the World Economy."
Tumblr media
I'm coming to Minneapolis! Oct 15: Presenting The Internet Con at Moon Palace Books. Oct 16: Keynoting the 26th ACM Conference On Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing.
Tumblr media
At the end of Henry Farrell and Abraham Newman's new book Underground Empire, they cite the work of John Lewis Gaddis, "preeminent historian of the Cold War," who dubbed that perilous period "The Long Peace":
https://us.macmillan.com/books/9781250840554/undergroundempire
Despite several harrowing near-misses, neither of the two hair-trigger, nuclear-tipped arsenals were ever loosed. When the Cold War ended, the world breathed a sigh of relief and set about refashioning itself, braiding together economic and social interdependencies that were supposed to make future war unthinkable. Nations that depend on one another couldn't afford to go to war, because they couldn't hurt the other without hurting themselves.
The standard account of the Cold War's "Long Peace" is that the game theorists who invented Mutually Assured Destruction set up a game where "the only way to win was not to play" (to quote the Matthew Broderick documentary War Games). The interdependency strategy of the post-Cold War, neoliberal, "flat" world was built on the same fundamentals: make war more costly than peace, victory worse than the status quo, and war would be over – if we wanted it.
But Gaddis has a different idea. Any effect Mutually Assured Destruction had on keeping fingers from pushing the buttons was downstream of a much more important factor: independence. For the most part, the US and the USSR had nonintersecting spheres of influence. Each of these spheres was self-sufficient. That meant that they didn't compete with one another for the use of the same resource or territory, and neither could put the other in check by seizing some asset they both relied on. The exceptions to this – proxy wars in Latin America and Southeast Asia – were the disastrous exceptions that proved the rule.
But the past forty years rejected this theory. From Thomas Friedman's "World Is Flat" to Fukyama's "End of History," the modern road to peace is paved with networks whose nodes can be found in every country. These networks – shipping routes, money-clearing systems, supply chains, the internet itself – weave together nearly every nation on Earth into a single web of interdependencies that make war impossible.
War, you may have noticed, has become very, very possible. Even countries with their own McDonald's franchises are willing to take up arms against one another.
That's where Farrell and Newman's book comes in. The two political scientists tell the story of how these global networks were built through accidents of history, mostly by American corporations and/or the American state. The web was built by accident, but the spider at its center was always the USA.
At various junctures since the Cold War, American presidents, spies and military leaders have noticed this web and tugged at it. A tariff here, a sanction there, then an embargo. The NSA turns the internet into a surveillance grid and a weapon of war. The SWIFT system is turned into a way to project American political goals around the world – first by blocking transactions for things the US government disfavors, then to cut off access for people who do business with people who do things that the US wants stopped.
Networks tend to centralization, to hubs. These central points are efficient, but (as we learned during the covid lockdown) brittle. One factory fails and an entire category of goods can no longer be made – anywhere. When it comes to global resiliency, these bottlenecks are are a bug; but when it comes to US foreign policy, these chokepoints are a feature.
Farrell and Newman skillfully weave a tale of individuals, powers, circumstances and forces, showing how the rise and rise of world-is-flat rah-rah globalism created a series of irresistable opportunities for "weaponized interdependence." Some players of the game wield these weapons like a scalpel; others (like Trump) use them like a club.
This is a chronicle of the dawning realization – among US power-players and their foreign adversaries, particularly in China – that the US lured its trading partners into entrusting it with financial clearing, IP enforcement, fiber landings, and other chokepoints, on the grounds that American wouldn't risk the wealth these systems generated by turning them into engines of coercion.
But then, of course, that's exactly what America did, from the War on Terror to economic sanctions on Iran, from seizing Argentinian reserves to freezing Russia's cash. Sometimes, the US did this for reasons that I sympathize with, other times, for reasons I am aghast at. But they did it, and did it, and did it.
America's adversaries (and frenemies, like the EU) have tried to build alternative "underground empires" to offset the risk of having their interdependencies weaponized (or to escape from an ongoing situation). But therein lies a conundrum: world-is-flat-ism has ended the age of indepedence. Countries really do need each other – for energy, materials, and finished goods. Independence is a long way off.
To create new interdependency networks, it's not enough for countries to agree that they don't trust America as neutral maintainer of their strategic chokepoints. They also have to agree to trust one of their own to operate those chokepoints. Lots of countries have come to mistrust US dollar-clearing and the SWIFT system – but few are willing to allow, say, China to run an alternative system that carries out settlements in Renminbi. The EU might be able to suck in some "friendly" countries for a Euro-clearing system, but would China trust them? How about Iran?
Farrell and Newman make a good case that US's position at the center of the web is a historical accident, and possibly a one-off, contingent on the ascendant post-Cold War ideology that said that markets and the interdependencies they create would neutralize the threat of handing a rival nation that much power.
Which leaves us in a world of interdependency in conflict. If Gaddis is right and the Long Peace was the result of independence, then this bodes very ill. The only thing worse than a world where no one can depend on anyone is a world where we must depend on entities that are hostile to us, and vice-versa. That way lies a widening gyre of conflict that felt eerily palpable as world events unfolded while I read this excellent, incisive book.
Political science, done right, has the power to reframe your whole understanding of events around you. Farrell and Newman set out a compelling thesis, defend it well, and tell a fascinating tale. And when they finish, they leave you with a way to make sense of things that seem senseless and terrible. This may not make those things less terrible, but at least they're comprehensible.

I used to think I don’t about love & infidelity as long as there is money & a desirable lifestyle. Now at 25, seeing the dynamic of the stay at home girlfriend relationships something in my brain switched. At that glitters truly isn’t gold. After a few yrs of being with a rich man, don’t you they realize the riches start to become ordinary? At age 40, will curated instagram posts of ur “relationship goals” & designer goods still distract from the blandness of the relationship in the same way it did in ur 20s-30s? If the relationship is transactional; ur youth & beauty, exchanged for his money & fame, don’t u realize this dynamic does not lean towards ur benefit as a woman? Don’t they realize superficial relationships such as these once ur youth fades his gaze will wander? Selling ur youth to a man who isn’t sure of u is a betrayal to urself. He can divorce at 55, still be rich, create a new family with a 25 yr old version of u while ur now age 55 depending on monthly checks from him, with a few of his kids & a old house he left u. Will u, a woman, start over as easily as he did at age 55 getting a 25 yr old to marry & play step parent ? Good luck with that. Youth for women is what money is for men. The difference is, one is fleeting & majority of wags fail to realize that. The man can find a way to earn more money, the woman, (despite surgeries & creams) can not find a way to earn more youth. This is why it’s crucial to marry a man that is boastful of u, respects, & through his actions has proven commitment. Connor Mcdavid cheated on Lauren Kyle in the peak of her youth, so what’s stopping him from cheating when she’s 50 & he, a man of status & wealth, can still attract 20 yr olds with no effort? They dated 9 YEARS, yet he magically proposes 1 yr after being caught on video cheating? Connor publicly humiliated Lauren & didn’t respect her enough to publicly apologize. Kobe Bryant who had cheating allegations admitted at a press conference to his infidelity & publicly apologized for the shame he brought to his wife. Connor didn’t just have allegations he was on VIDEO cheating, yet didn’t bother to to post even a pathetic generic IG story apologizing in Lauren’s honor,he rather let his fans call Lauren a gold digger & doormat under her IG pictures still to this day. But his sudden urge to propose 1yr after cheating makes it better, right? Coincidently 1 yr after Connor conveniently proposed, his other lap dog Leon Drasaital magically felt the same urge as Connor & proposes after 7 YEARS of dating Celeste Desjardins & oddly 2 weeks before Connor’s wedding. 7 yrs dating a man whose trying to finish school, or work up to financially provide is understandable. But 7 yrs of dating is a lifetime when the man has nothing to worry about besides being paid millions to literally play a game while u wait tending to his home playing house keeper & dog watcher. Did Leon know Celeste was the one? No. But he did know he wants to keep up with the one he prioritizes, captain Mcdavid (who by the way didn’t bother to claim Leon as a best man…) So Lauren with a man who publicly cheated, doesn’t respect respect or protect her, looks as “excited” with her as he does when doing post game media. And Celeste, with a man who kept her as a placeholder for 7 years, until out of pressure finally decided he was ready to commit to marriage despite the fact she’s been committed to centering her world around him, so much that for the past 5 yrs she been publicly online making imaginary wedding Pinterest boards & uploading pictures with him on Pinterest with the tags #couplegoals #wag #Nhlwag #model #hockeyWags and also started following engagement ring accounts and various accounts about “tips advice to getting a man to commit” on IG 3 days after her bestie got engaged. A fairytale manufactured inside of a misogynistic nightmare is the only way to describe these 2 relationships. This is all my meaningless observation of course. Time will tell. Actions will speak for themselves, as they always do. I’ve seen this story before.
-🇲🇽
#WillYouStillLoveMeWhenImNoLongerYoungAndBeautiful #LaurenDesjardins sorry i meant #LaurenKyle and #CelesteDesjardins #LeonMcdavid sorry I meant #LeonDraisaitl and #ConnorMcCheater aka #ConnorMcdavid
That was brilliant! I'm sure many here will unconditionally agree with you! Thank you
The girls from Edmonton still have time to have children and provide for themselves based on this fact. But those who did not receive a ring or a child and lost decades on an unequal union - they are in complete ass

August 3, 2023 - Patreon said today it has fixed the root cause of a problem that led to creators and patrons seeing widespread rejected payments this week, and it’s still working to solve the larger problem. The funding platform confirmed to Engadget that financial institutions have flagged “a slightly higher-than-normal number of patron payments” as fraudulent. In addition, some creators said they’re unable to access their funds, which Patreon describes as an unrelated problem stemming from a partner update. The company describes the inability to access payouts as only affecting “creators using a single payment partner,” which its system status page identifies as Payoneer. It says it’s working “actively with Payoneer to restore payouts” and expects to see the transactions restored today. The problem gained attention after various Patreon users posted on social channels about losing supporters en masse. Many reported that Patreon’s billing information appeared to have recently shifted to Dublin, which some users speculated was the root cause of banks flagging the transactions as fraudulent. “I just checked and have lost 80% of my patrons,” Dr. Brooke Magnanti, author of Secret Diary of a London Call Girl, posted on Bluesky today. “Awesome.”

Having my "what's all this then" moment about Chappell Roan (she's great) and I have to say there is something so incisive and wonderful and queer about "Good luck, Babe!" But especially about this:
Ooh, and when you wake up next to him in the middle of the night
With your head in your hands, you're nothing more than his wife
Like there absolutely is a dimension of Straight culture where acquiring a husband / wife is nothing more than a box to check, a status symbol. Obvious disclaimer this does not apply blanket to most straight relationships but you also 100% understand that the repressed bi or lesbian that the song sings about would end up gravitating towards that kind of transactional relationship just to paper over her anxieties about being earnestly queer. Anyways. It's good

Steddie Soulmate AU Part 2
Part 1
Prompt: a clock counts down until you meet your soulmate
Prompt from @phantypurple !!! ❤️
Read on AO3
Additional tags: @beckkthewreck @cherixxx69 @iwouldsail
-
If you would’ve asked Eddie years ago about how he felt about the whole soulmate phenomenon he would tell you that he believes it’s all bullshit but now if you were to ask him…
He’d say the same thing, he thinks it’s bullshit.
Eddie wasn’t a person who did relationships and he didn’t believe in the myth of a clock stopping as soon as you meet your so called ‘soulmate’. When he was little Wayne gave him the tiny clock that he carries in his pocket at all times. Only Wayne could convince him to still have faith in that thing after so many failed attempts at trying to piece together who would be his other half. Of course as Eddie got older he realized that girls weren’t the only ones catching his eye and he figured out that he was attracted to guys too, which made his journey a lot harder. His soulmate literally could’ve been anyone in passing and he wouldn’t have noticed because he stopped checking his clock years ago. During high school Gareth and Jeff encouraged him to give the clock another shot even if he wasn’t fully on board with it yet, out of curiosity and a little bit of desperation he listens to them. Throughout the year he focused on every encounter he had with everyone and immediately after he would check the clock only to see it still counting down. With the constant checking of the clock he did daily slowly Eddie started to have his doubts again, essentially pushing it to the back of his mind.
A few days went by and Eddie was completely thrown off by Chrissy Cunningham, in his eyes ‘The Queen’ of Hawkins High, asking him for drugs. Obviously he was shocked by the whole thing but Eddie has never been the kind of person to turn down a customer who’s willing to pay for his services even if it so happened to be the head of the cheerleading squad. They met in the woods to discuss what he had and somehow they ended up talking about things other than drugs. Eddie knew that Chrissy has always been a kind person but he hasn’t talked to her in awhile, the last time being when they were in middle school. So it really did shock him that she stayed the same no matter what her status was and for a split second Eddie almost forgot about what they were there for in the first place. Foolishly Eddie started to develop a crush on her in the middle of their conversation which was really stupid considering that she found her soulmate in Jason then he also had to realize, then being together wouldn’t be realistic. After they finished discussing the details of where the transaction was taking place a time was set up and they quickly parted ways. Out of curiosity Eddie pulled the tiny clock out of his pocket just to see if anything changed, maybe there could be a chance that Chrissy had two soulmates or he was just starting to become desperate at this point. He looked a the clock and to no surprise it was counting down still. Eddie didn’t know why but it bummed him that his soulmate was out there somewhere and he had no idea who it could be. He thought about it for a few more seconds before wiping it out of his head, he didn’t have time to look for the person he’s destined to be with. Eddie focused on making money tonight and that was all.
Eddie went back to school to finish up the plans that he had for the evening and that involved a dnd game with his new friends Dustin and Mike, they even brought along a friend of theirs named Erica. At first Eddie was skeptical about letting a new member play especially when she looked like she was in the fourth grade, okay he kind of bumped her age down a little far but she was still younger than all of them. After hearing her vouch for herself and explaining her move set Eddie had no choice but to let her play, she knew her stuff. They played the game like normal and everyone was having a good time. Eddie really played up the theatrics that night, anything he could do to get everyone on the edge of their seat and anticipation running through their veins. Truly an exciting night for him as the game was coming to an end. Eddie said his goodbyes to the group and prepared himself for what the future had in store for him. Earlier Chrissy agreed to coming over to his house so they could settle everything that they talked about in the woods. When they arrived to Eddie’s trailer he kept in mind that she requested for something stronger, at the time that should’ve sent alarms through Eddie’s head but money is one hell of a drug ironically. He went to look for one of the strongest drugs he had in his room basically being in his own world while the worst has yet to come. Eddie smiled from ear to ear after finding what needed and head back to where Chrissy was. His eyes laid on Chrissy, his smile dropping in an instant.
Eddie saw her shaking in the middle of his living room while her eyes fluttered, they were whiter and had no sign of life in them. He panicked as he tried to shake her awake then calling out to her hoping that he’ll get a response. The lights in his trailer flickered before Eddie saw Chrissy levitate in the air making him stumble back until he fell on the floor. His heart started pounding in his chest at the sight of a girl he knew under whatever this evil trance was and he couldn’t save her. Within seconds Eddie watched Chrissy’s body break right in front him, he screamed at the top of his lungs with tears in his eyes as he’d body fell to the ground and she was already gone in that exact moment. Eddie was terrified and he knew if he stayed any longer that he would be next. He ran away without looking back, little did he know that all of it was going to bite him in the ass. When the news got on the story about Chrissy’s death every finger was pointing in Eddie’s direction. He had to lay low because Hawkins wanted him dead or alive it didn’t matter which one but if you were to ask the people they were prefer that he was dead. He traveled as far as he could to get away from the town that hates him, a boathouse that he found seemed like the perfect place to get away and hide. He made himself semi comfortable in one of the boats then covered himself up with a tarp that was lying around.
At some point during the night Eddie had fallen asleep because he jumped once he heard the sound of faint voices and footsteps coming towards him. They were muffled to him, none of the voices sounded familiar.
Eddie flinched at the feeling of something hard against his side and repeatedly he kept getting hit with it. Whoever it was wouldn’t stop causing him to panic once again. He thought if he was going to die anyways he might as well put up a fight. The hard object hit his side one last time before Eddie jumped onto his feet and revealing himself to whoever was there. He didn’t know who was standing in front of him but the first thing he did was grab them by the shoulders and aggressively pushed them against a wall making sure that every move to he did wasn’t gentle. He heard screaming in the process of him standing his ground, everything got drowned out since he was under the impression that he was in danger. Eddie managed to focus on the person who kept poking him in the side and he almost let out a laugh at who it was.
Steve Harrington.
Looking like a deer in headlights when Eddie had a broken beer bottle in his hand and he was inches away from his neck. Eddie never talked to Steve at school because there was never a reason to. He was a shitty person, so if he did come here to hurt him Eddie wouldn’t have felt anything if he just so happened to press the beer bottle against his neck. Eddie snapped out of his thoughts at the sound of Dustin’s voice trying to calm him down. All of them were telling him that they wasn’t going to harm him in anyway and Dustin promised that everything would be okay. It wasn’t like Eddie didn’t believe Dustin, it was just he’s always shined this positive light on Steve that honestly sounded like lies to him. Eddie looked at Dustin before narrowing his eyes at Steve who clearly wanted to be anywhere else but here. After a few extremely long seconds Eddie let him go and took a seat, for now he’ll keep it to himself that he doesn’t trust Steve. Something felt off about him and Eddie couldn’t explain why, he got a weird feeling in his stomach when Steve was close to him. Eddie brushed it off and watched Dustin make his way over to him with concern on his face. He told them everything about what happened to Chrissy including how the way she was killed wasn’t normal and it was almost like a supernatural thing. He waited for them to laugh or make fun of him but that never happened, they comforted him through this trauma that he was going though. Eddie’s eyes became glossy after talking to them and the way they swore that he would get out of this mess made him feel hopeful, he’s never felt that before. Dustin told him that they would be back in the morning to get him then they left swiftly. Eddie had so many thoughts in his head that he didn’t have a clear one that stood out to him. The boathouse was eerie when no one was around and he hated that every so often the wind would blow sending chills down his spine. To keep his mind off of those things he thought he could check his clock to see if it changed, Eddie pulled it out of his pocket while having low expectations.
00:00
Eddie shook his head repeatedly as he processed the numbers on the clock. There’s no way that he found his soulmate in all of this it was impossible.
“This is insane, out of all the times in my life where I’ve met amazing people why now all of a sudden?” Eddie directed the question towards the clock as if he would get a response. Nothing made sense, if he really thought about who the last person he talked to it lead him to a certain someone.
There’s no way
“Holy shit.” Eddie breathed as he ran hand through his hair.
This was going to be quite interesting.

A Simplified Guide for Education Loan Repayment
Education loans are beneficial for people achieving their academic dreams. But the repayment process can often filled with lots of confusions. Getting educational loan isn't that much hard as you think. With an online open savings bank account and necessary documents, you can easily apply for an educational loan. However, with a structured approach and understanding of available options, managing education loan repayments becomes manageable. If you are thinking about getting an education loan or have already got one, this guide explores actionable steps to ensure a smooth repayment journey.
Understanding Loan Terms and Conditions
Before discussing repayment, thoroughly review the terms and conditions of your education loan. Understand interest rates, repayment schedules, and any additional fees associated with the loan. Evaluate your current financial status to determine how much you can afford to repay each month. Consider factors such as income, expenses, and other financial obligations to make the best deals.
Setting Up a Zero Balance Bank Account
To streamline repayment, consider zero balance account opening app specifically dedicated to loan repayments. This account ensures that your loan payments are separated from your regular expenses, making it easier to track and manage repayments. This account will serve as the primary channel for efficiently managing your education loan payments.
Exploring Repayment Options
Familiarize yourself with the various repayment options available for education loans. These may include standard repayment plans, income-driven repayment plans, or refinancing options. Select the repayment plan that most closely matches your financial circumstances and objectives. Develop a repayment strategy based on your financial capabilities and loan terms. Determine whether you'll make fixed monthly payments or opt for a flexible repayment plan. Set realistic goals and timelines to stay on track with your repayment journey.
Automating Loan Payments
Take advantage of automatic payment options offered by lenders or banking institutions. Automating your loan payments ensures timely and consistent repayments, reducing the risk of missed deadlines and late fees. Incorporate loan repayments into your monthly budgeting process. Prioritize loan payments alongside essential expenses to ensure they're accounted for each month. As your income or expenses fluctuate, make the necessary adjustments to your budget.
Seeking Assistance if Needed
Banks provide you with a particular period called a moratorium period, which denotes the time period between your course completion and your first EMI. You may get a job immediately or not. Depending on your situation, the period will differ. If you encounter financial difficulties or anticipate challenges in meeting repayment obligations, don't hesitate to reach out to your lender. Many lenders offer assistance programs or loan modification options to help borrowers manage their loans effectively.
Monitoring Progress and Making Adjustments
Monitor your loan repayment progress regularly and make adjustments as necessary. Stay informed about your remaining balance, interest accrual, and any changes to repayment terms. Adjust your strategy if your financial situation or goals evolve over time.
Final thoughts
Education loan repayment doesn't have to be overwhelming. By following this simplified guide and leveraging available resources, you can navigate the repayment process with confidence and achieve financial freedom. Many banks offer the convenience of online open savings bank account. Take advantage of this facility to establish a designated account for loan repayments.

A (not so) short guide for FTH bidding
Bidding can be a bit confusing, especially this year with so many great artists who are willing to offer their time and talents. This guide will hopefully assist to build strategies on how to choose artists, what to expect and how to handle things after you win.
The most important thing to remember is that FTH is a charity event. The creators don’t receive any of the money that is being donated, and get nothing but satisfaction. It also means that unlike a regular transaction, the bidder is not “buying” the artist’s time. Creators are participating out of the kindness of their hearts, and should be treated with even more respect for their time and boundaries than usual.
Another important thing to remember is your budget limit. It is easy to get swept up by the heat of the moment and raise your bid offer, but at the end of the day, if you win, you are expected to honour your offer. It is strongly advised to decide, before you start placing your bids, how much money you want to spend (advice on how to keep track of the sum will be detailed later).
Another thing to consider before you start bidding is your goals. Is there one writer's offer you will pay any price to win the bidding on, or are you going to bid for all the writers and be glad with whoever you will win? Maybe all you want is a podcast or a beta? Do you have a specific idea that only one artist will do justice?
Browsing can seem confusing at first, but there is logic in the madness. Read the Sticky post, the tips are useful!
On the desktop computer you will see on the left a list of all the fandoms and the main tags. From mobile, you will see only the list of creators, so it is advised to use the tips in the sticky note to narrow down the list.
When deciding whether to bid for an artist you are not familiar with, there are some important things that can help with the decision. First, check their previous works - do you like their style? Each artist is different and creates something else, that’s part of the beauty of fandoms. Focus on the artists that appeal to you, and don’t expect artists to change their style. Second, take a good look at their offers - what are they interested in? Some artists will focus on certain characters, while others prefer specific genres. Does the rating match the prompt you had in mind?
If you have an idea that is similar to one of the topics that the author marked as “unwilling to address”, or a specific kink, contact them before you bid (each creator provided a way of contact).
When you find a creator that interests you, check all their offers. Some artists offer different things (rating, special interest and type of fanwork), so make sure you bid for the right one.
Most creators focus their skills for a specific fandom, while some offer works to all fandoms, so it is advisable to browse the “all fandoms” tag as well.
While browsing, make yourself a list of all the artists you wish to bid for. It can be in any format you want, but make sure to include the author’s handle, what they offer, their link and the status of your offer. That way you keep easy track of the amount of money you offer as a donation, and decide if you reached your limit or you can bid higher.
Golden needle auction - shortly before the bidding ends, the FTH mods promote creators that had yet to get offers. Keep your eyes open, you might find an artist you accidentally missed, or even discover a new artist or a fandom you hadn’t thought of before. Sometimes this can prove a chance to discover a great creator you weren’t familiar with.
During the bidding - some people chose to bid as early as the bidding starts and wait for the results, without engaging in bidding wars. Others like to keep track of their offers, and update them if needed. Whichever strategy works best for you, remember to keep an eye on your budget and not offer more than you can afford yourself.
After the bidding - Congratulations! You’ve won an auction (or auctions). What’s next? First, get some rest. The process can be exhausting, so take a moment to relax and celebrate your wins. Also, allow the mods a few days to contact all the winners.
You will receive an email with the details of your wins, and will be asked to donate to one of the charities your creators listed on their page. Please donate and answer the email with the receipt as soon as possible, and don’t wait for the last minute - both the mods and the creator will appreciate it.
Contacting your author - after mods have received proof you donate, you will receive the creator's details. Please remember that the money you paid was for charity, and none of the creators are being paid for it. It was a stressful process also for the creators, so don’t panic if they don’t answer immediately.
Deciding on the gift - some creators like to be given a vague idea and a wild hand, while others prefer an elaborate idea and back and forth with the bidder. Whichever way you choose, make sure the creator is comfortable with the theme, rating, genre and kinks, and respect their boundaries. Remember, if the creator is happy with the prompt they are given they are likely to get more inspired for the work so it’s always better to make sure the idea is something the creator is fully comfortable with.
Thank you for participating in the event, and may the odds will always be in your favour!

Love. An artist’s beloved muse. A poet’s treasured inspiration. An emotion so driving, everlasting, unconditional, and knew no bounds– or so the stories say. The theaters had no shortage of stage plays about love. Most bookstores had their romance sections stocked with every trope imaginable– soulmates, fairytale retellings, rivals turned romantic partners and everything a hopeless romantic hoped for. Everything you hoped for.
You could not pinpoint when this infatuation with the idea of a love so fleeting started, but it did start with a childlike innocence. “Just one more bedtime story,” you would tell your nanny. One more about the frog and the princess. One more about the mermaid and the prince. One more about the beast and the beauty.
By the time you reached the ripe age of sixteen, your infatuation was more so an obsession. A burning curiosity replaced your childlike innocence. Just one romance novel. Just to see what the rave was about, to see what happens next. And then one became two. Then two became too many. Now your bookshelves were filled with nothing but books about love. Pure love. Passionate love. Prevailing love. These novels built cathedrals from catharsis and heated confessions. All of which were fleeting, leaving you rosy-cheeked, kicking your feet, giggling and dreaming of the day you would be on the receiving end of such heartfelt words.
All of which were lies– a terrible realization that occurred to you by the time you reached the debutante age. Letters and bouquets with cards attached all asked for one thing: your love, but not the love you were familiar with. Their love was written in quadruple digits and checks.
The love you knew and adored was the one thing nobles from Hightown could not afford. Love was not pure, passionate or prevailing nor was it fleeting. Love was transactional. In the hellscape that was high society, marriage was a means to elevate or maintain a certain status. Courtship was a means of networking and marriage was akin to signing a business deal. Perhaps that was one of the reasons romance was such a popular genre amongst Highborn nobles. Their lives were so devoid of love that they sought respite in fantasies of fiction. You were no different in that sense, but you wanted to believe. You wanted to hope that a love would eventually sweep you off your feet one day.
Times had progressed. There were aristocrats who married for love, but such a case was as rare and costly as an argyle diamond, something not many would invest in. True love took time and time was money. High society had a consensus– why marry for love when you could marry a prospect that you perhaps grow to love? And if you did not love your prospects, you could find another one. After all, business was business and there were no hard feelings or any feelings, really.
You sighed as you threw another envelope into the waste bin by your desk. You propped your hand onto your knuckles and let your gaze linger on your dusty bookshelf. You had not read a single novel since you made your entrance into fashionable society. Months passed and you assumed that the worst was over. Like any fad in Hightown, you assumed that the topic of your age and your fairly average birthday party would eventually become irrelevant, allowing you to indulge in the latest releases, but you were presumptuous and sorely underestimated how relentless lords and dukes were when it came to finding their sons a bride. To this day, you were as busy as ever. Hundreds of letters were delivered to your estate each day. Some were business proposals and others were outright marriage proposals while some were discreet invitations to social events, but almost all of them were from notable families which meant you had to reply with a letter to accept or decline. Otherwise, it would be discourteous and bad blood between nobles was more of a hassle than writing a letter. You turned your attention to the evening sky. The stars were blinded by the city lights, but they offered you the peace and solace that no one else could.
Friendships were not as transactional as courtship was in Hightown, but it was a snake pit of its own. Wealth. Status. Power. Knowledge of such topics shaped the value of friendship. Friendships were based on usefulness. How beneficial was it to befriend someone of this family? Would that tarnish your reputation? There was also gossip, gossip and more gossip– a lady’s favorite item on the menu at afternoon tea parties. One was a “good” friend if one had the latest scoops and one was a “bad” friend if one dispelled any rumors.
Personally, you considered yourself an average friend. You knew the latest gossip, but you were never one to spread anything. You only ever added to conversations once in a while to keep yourself “useful”. You nodded in agreement and engaged in small talk when necessary, but you also kept your distance. Snakes, or anything that looked remotely like one, terrified you.
Your novels were to blame. They had raised your expectations for friendship as they raised your expectations for love. Romance was all you ever read, but characters had other relationships as well–  friendships. Friends who would break a love interest’s bones if they dared to break the main character’s heart. Friends who always had each other’s backs and would move mountains for the other.
Or perhaps those novels were to blame but for a different reason. You preferred a quiet afternoon of light reading to a garden party with constricting walls. Books were a thousand times better than polite snickers and compliments laced with venom. You were on the edge of your seat whenever you read about a passionate kiss and drained every time you attended an event. There was no competition between the two.
Either way, you were greedy. Selfish, even. Despite all the money at your disposal, you wanted true love and true friendship, two of the rarest things in Hightown. No aristocrat could afford love in any form.
You sighed once more. You were ruminating instead of getting through your paperwork again. The witching hour was near and it was getting cold. The candlelight flickered in the evening breeze. You drew your shawl closer to your chest as you rose from your seat. You picked up your brass chamberstick and made your way to your balcony window to draw the curtains. As you approached the glass pane, the wind rushed past you and your candle wick snuffed itself out. Your brows furrowed. The breeze just now was far stronger than the one earlier. This one was more of a gale… which was strange. You were stationed at your desk with your window open for several hours. The breezes that came into your room barely swayed the curtains. The one just now threw your curtains into disarray. You shook your head and grabbed onto the window latch. Were you that drowsy? You read before that lacking sleep was akin to being drunk. The window shut with an audible click and you spun your heel, ready to turn in for the night.
Your eyes widened, locking onto a pair of brilliant, bright green orbs. Your bedroom was shrouded in darkness, but those eyes were shining like emeralds. You could not make out the rest of the person’s face, but you were certain that their eyes were as wide as yours. You squinted. Broad shoulders. Broad everything, really. Tall too. Short hair, probably. A man? No, a burglar! A burglar in your room! You opened your mouth and he put his hands up as if he was steadying a rabid animal.
“Easy. I’m not looking for trouble. I just– whoa!”
Most definitely a man. His voice was not too deep, but it also was too deep for it to be fake. Unless he was an actor? You had seen actors at the theater reach incredible lows with their voices before. But what kind of actor snuck around an estate this late at night? Most of them were well-off. Regardless, such a possibility was still plausible. Come to think of it… This bulgar sounded young. Not young like a child, but he didn’t sound like an old geezer either. Was he around your age? You pursed your lips. Oh this was no time for pondering such things! You scanned your desk for other objects to hurl at him. Though that chamberstick you just threw was likely the most threatening thing you had on hand, you grabbed the thesaurus that sat by your unsent letters.
Normally, you used it to lengthen your replies to dukes and duchesses. You used it to craft flowery words, flattering compliments and faulty excuses as to why you could not attend their monthly croquet games. Normally, when you turned around after closing your window, you were met with the sight of your bed. It was extravagantly large, enough to fit three people and dozens of throw pillows and stuffed animals. Normally, the path from the window and your bed was clear. All you had to do was walk straight and flop onto your comforter.
But as with most norms, there were exceptions. Tonight was one of them. You took a deep breath. The intruder lowered his hands, sighing in relief. You seemed to have calmed down… or so he thought. You grunted and launched the book towards the intruder like a javelin. He ducked in the nick of time once again, rolling over to his side. The thesaurus collided with the flower vase on your nightstand, shattering it.
“Shit.”
You gasped, hands quick to cover your mouth. If your nanny heard you just now, you would never see the light of day. Not only were your words profane, your actions were the exact opposite of graceful.
The grip on your face tightened. The intruder was not moving. He was lying on his back, limbs sprawled everywhere. Your breath hitched. Could he be…? Would that make you a…?
Your palms began to sweat as you knelt down by his body. You closed your eyes and nudged his side with the tip of your fingers. He didn’t budge. You leaned forward, peering over his body, curious like a kitten with a fishbowl. He was most definitely a man. Your vision had slightly adjusted to the dark. Nothing in sight was as clear as day, but nothing in sight was a blur either. He was indeed tall with broad shoulders. Muscular from the looks of it, but not too burly. The dark trench coat and dagger sold the look of a vandal. Albeit, he was easy on the eyes. You paused, shaking those senseless thoughts out of your head. Vehemently. He was an intruder. A trespasser. A burglar. Possibly a–
Wait. A sharp inhale. An abrupt movement. You shrunk back as his eyes fluttered open. A gloved hand flew out and clamped over your mouth, pushing your back onto the side of your bed and pinning you there– before you could muster a cry for help. Both of your own hands wrapped around his wrist, a feeble attempt to pry him off of you. He put an index finger to his lips and flashed his green eyes at you. Quiet.
He lowered his hand when you nodded. You took a deep breath and let out half a scream before his hand was on your mouth again. He flashed his eyes at you once more. Don’t.
This time, he lowered his hand, but kept it near you just the same. His other hand rested a few inches away from your ankles, trapping you in between your bedside and himself. One hand to guard your upper body and the other for your legs– should you try to escape. You could feel the warmth radiating through his gloves. He shifted some of his weight on the hand by your ankles, raising the temperature of the room as well as your cheeks.
“I’m not looking for trouble. Honest,” he whispered
“Is breaking and entering not trouble?”
“... Suppose, I only entered.”
“Without permission,” you deadpanned.
“Nothing was broken.”
You glanced at the very much broken vase on the floor and he gave you a dry laugh. Technically, you broke it, but chances are it would have stayed intact if it were not for him.
“I could fix it for you,” he offered.
“Fix it?”
“If you’d like.”
“And how are you going to do that?”
He smiled and held his hand up like he was solemnly swearing an oath. You tilted your head to the side as a pale green mist-like aura materialized and swirled around his fingers. He turned his hand, grabbing the ends of it, pinching with his thumb and index finger. Then, he pulled the mist downward. It was a swift motion. You blinked and then leaves and petals had formed. They were the same pale green as the mist from earlier. You looked at him and then his hand. He brought his creation closer to your hand. Your fingers brushed his when you took the flower. You gasped as the flower disappeared upon contact.
“With a little magic.”
“Are you a mage?”
“Something like that.”
“From the Senobium?”
“I’m more of a freelancer,” he said with a click of his tongue. His brows were cross and his emerald eyes momentarily lost their shimmer and shine.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
“My lady? My lady? Is everything alright?” a voice called.
You froze. The intruder did as well.
The door swung open and your maid, Adaline, entered before you could even say “come in”. Light poured into your bedroom, casting distinct shadows onto the carpet. You were able to get a good look at your intruder’s face now. The same green eyes. Olive skin with deep and noticeable eye bags. Dark hair that framed his face and a long scar across his left cheek that ran down to his forearm. He was most certainly easy on the eyes. You scowled and pushed him off of you, shooting straight up from your position.
“My lady?”
He laid on his back, bringing both his hands behind his head. He shot you a shy, toothy grin. You frowned. He was far too lax. From Adalines’s perspective, you were standing by your bed, an ordinary sight. If she came any closer, there would be a man on your bedroom floor along with flower petals and shards of ceramic. If you told her there was an intruder, she would inform the guards immediately. But what would he do? He was a mage. You did not know the full extent of his capabilities. He had a dagger on him and you were wearing slippers. He was knee-deep in trouble, but you were the one dripping with beads of sweat. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
“Yes!” you squeaked. You cleared your throat, “Yes. Yes, I am fine. Wonderful. Fantastic, even! Did you need something?”
“No, my lady. I just heard a scream. And something shattering. A loud commotion from your room. I came to check on you.”
“I stubbed my toe,” you replied coolly.
“Goodness! I’ll fetch the physician–”
“No!”
“No?”
“No… need to disturb him! Especially at this hour. It’s late. I will manage.”
“If that is what you wish, my lady,” she bowed, “I will return to my quarters now. Please try to get some sleep tonight as well. You have a big day tomorrow.”
“Do I?”
“Yes… with the Duke of Cromwell. Have you forgotten?”
“It would seem that I have,” you said, rubbing your temples. “Thank you for reminding me, Adaline. I will do just that.”
“Will you?” She narrowed her eyes. Her gaze was stern.
“Pardon?” Your palms were getting clammy. There was a reason you read stories instead of telling tall tales.
“Forgive me, my lady. It’s just… you have a tendency to stay up late reading long after you say goodnight.”
You sheepishly tittered and glanced at the bookshelf behind you. Such a conjecture was not too far off. Prior to your debutante, you spent your evenings reading till dawn. Adaline caught you in the act on numerous occasions. If you were not so busy these days, she would have hit the nail on the head.
“Alright, alright. I will retire for the night now. Goodnight, Adaline,” you surrendered.
Your maid crossed her arms. You sighed and climbed into your bed, pulling the blankets up to your shoulders. You closed your eyes for good measure. A moment passed and you opened one eye to catch a glimpse of her pleased expression.
“Goodnight, my lady,” she smiled and with another curt bow, she dismissed herself, closing the door behind her.
Once her footsteps were out of earshot, you sprung up and threw your sheets to the side. The intruder was already sitting up. Your flower vase sat on his lap. True to his word, he was fixing it with magic. One hand held a shard of ceramic close to his face while a finger from his other hand traced the edges with a thin line of chartreuse. He then attached the shard to the vase. As he did, the magic evaporated, leaving behind a gold vein in between the cracks. The gold did not fade like the green aura.
“What are you doing with the gold?”
“It’s kind of like an adhesive,” he explained, turning the vase onto its side. He picked up another shard and traced the edge with his finger, leaving a metallic sheen behind, then affixed it to the vase’s main “body”.
You swung your feet over the edge of your bed and leaned forward, “I do not mean to undermine your magical prowess, Mr. Mage, but when you said magic… I was expecting something a little more–”
“Flashy?”
Your eyes fell to the ground and nodded.
“Usually it is. I like to put on a show but I’m running a little low on mana right now. I’ll give you the full experience next time.”
“Next time?”
“If you’d like to stop by Lowtown one of these days.”
“What makes you think I would stop by?” you asked, crossing your arms, “You are a stranger who broke into my bedroom in the dead of night, claimed that you were not looking for trouble yet you laid your hands on me and pinned me down. Accepting an invitation like that is akin to walking into a lion’s den.”
“I thought we’d be okay now since you didn’t alert your maid,” he said, scratching the back of his neck.
“Forgive me. I did not have much of a choice. I was worried my life would be on the line if I was not quiet about your presence,” you huffed.
“Ha... sorry about that… but thank you.”
“Thank you?”
“For not turning me in even if you were a little scared. I promise you that I’m not looking for trouble. I would never harm you either.”
You raised a brow. He said that same phrase quite a few times now.
“Then what brings you to my estate?”
“I… got into trouble elsewhere and needed somewhere to hide. I saw the window was open and jumped inside,” his jaw was taut and his eyes never met with yours.
“Not looking for trouble, huh?”
He sighed, “Look, I’m not a bad guy. I was just doing a… commission.”
“That sounds like something an assassin would say.”
“I’m not an assassin.”
“What kind of commission has you working so late?” you asked, glancing at his dagger. He clutched the hilt and you inhaled sharply. He locked his gaze with yours as he let go of the handle as quick as he was to grab it. The glint in his eyes ceased.
“A client wanted me to retrieve something at your neighbor’s house.”
“Should you be disclosing the details of your robberies to me, Mr. Mage?”
“Is it stealing if it didn’t belong to them in the first place?” His eyes were dark and hooded as he looked up at you. A shiver ran down your spine.
“Oh so you are a chivalrous thief. From those fairytales.”
“Something like that,” he said with a laugh.
You were jesting, but your heart skipped a beat. The idea of a thief that steals from the rich and gives to the poor being real was alluring. Enchanting. And perhaps too good to be true. You pressed your lips together. He only said “something like that” and you were already daydreaming. You knew better than to take someone’s word at face value, but an occasional reverie never hurt. Head in the clouds and weight off your shoulders– it was the most marvelous feeling.
Porcelain clinked against the wooden surface of your nightstand, checking you in with the reality that was right in front of you. The mage finished repairing your vase. Thin veins of gold were strewn across the ceramic much like the scar that traveled from his left cheek down to his forearms. They were a clear indicator that the vase was broken at one point, but admittedly, there was some charm to it. The gold glistened in the moonlight and paired well with your gilded furniture.
“Do you like it?” he asked.
You hummed and nodded. ‘It was lovely,’ you wanted to say.
The mage grunted as he bent down to salvage the flowers on your carpet. They lost a petal or two, but other than that they were fine. He did not seem too agree, vexation coloring his face.
“I’ll get you some new flowers tomorrow,” he said, placing the barely withered flowers into the vase.
“You do not have to.”
“I insist.”
“Really, I–”
“It’s the least I can do for breaking and entering.”
He smiled when you turned speechless. You groaned, “Alright, but you must come by in the evening. If a man were to be spotted in my room, it would be the talk of the town.”
“As you wish, my lady.”
Heat crept up your cheeks as he took your hand and pressed a firm yet gentle kiss on your knuckles, searing that area of your skin with a warm, fuzzy sensation. You stared at your hand as he straightened his posture and walked towards your window as if nothing had transpired. You held your breath as you watched him open your window and climb onto the balcony railing. The evening breeze welcomed itself into your bedroom once more. It was stronger this time, swaying your curtains, but it was not cold.
“Wait!”
You put a hand over your mouth. Words slipped through your lips before you could even process them. But it was too late for any kind of contemplation. The mage had paused and turned around.
“Could I get your name?”
“Leander,” he said. His emerald eyes flickered. They were somehow brighter than before. Eyes could not smile, but the way he looked at you made you think otherwise.
“Leander,” you repeated softly.
“And you?”
“I am Lady (y/n) of the Sci–,” you grimaced and cleared your throat. A force of habit.  You rehearsed that line more times than you can count. It was a formal introduction for you and your family name, reserved for conversations with noble socialites and grand party entrances. You found them redundant yourself so you would do well sparing a somewhat chivalrous thief the formalities. “Just (y/n) is fine.”
“Just (y/n),” he repeated.
You rolled your eyes and Leander beamed in response. He turned his back to you once more and jumped off the balcony, disappearing into the night with a flurry of misty green flower petals. You rushed out onto the decking, peering over the handrail. Sure enough, Leander was gone, but your smile remained.

NEED OF SHELTER WITH HOMELESS (GOFUNDME AND ADDITIONAL INFO BELLOW)
DISCLAIMER: You can skip to the gofundme before scrolling to read everything, as I do update on there, but since I don't use tumblr much and this is very urgent, I have additional stuff to say in this post after providing the link. Link: https://gofund.me/952d122a
Tumblr media
As you can tell, I'm currently homeless and cannot access resources for shelter, as the homeless epidemic has caused it to get much harder to find shelter and transitional housing. I'm also someone who needs special accommodations as a disabled person, such as my medication and my cat being an emotional support animal, so that alone will make me less likely to be accepted.
I've been seeking a way to get housing way before I became homeless, as I knew the lease wasn't going to be renewed, but I couldn't do it on time. Currently I paid for my 1st and 2nd stay at the hotel I'm currently at. That's been 10 days, and currently I need to renew again by the 13th of February. This is the information for my first booking, which was cheaper than the second check in. 403 was the total including tax, but the second check in is 403 WITHOUT the tax.
Tumblr media
Here's the proof of the second stay in for 5 days being higher than the last.
Tumblr media
This hotel is literally the cheapest I could find with basic accomidations such as having a microwave and being able to refrigerate food, so I have to deal with the prices fluctuating a bit. It's not going to be the same each time I renew my stay at the hotel. But I don't expect it to reach the 500 USD range, it's going to be bellow that. The better approximate I guess is to get 480 USD for every 5 days of staying if feasible.
This is the current amount I got for the 3rd stay 66.11 is what I have left and the other two are donations that are still processing This isnt enough for the third hotel stay. (Due on the 13th) I would need around 500 USD (in case I need other needs like food/ set up the p.o. box) I'll appreciate any help!
Tumblr media
Gofundme does not finish sending transactions on weekends, in fact it postpones it, so that may cause complications for the 3rd and 4th stay if the money comes in too late. I do have a kofi and paypal in case anyone wants to ensure the money comes in faster, I'll put that link for Kofi here: https://ko-fi.com/remellu If you don't have gofundme, I'll provide my Paypal directly as well: paypal.me/yummeiko
Here's a diagram for the 3rd and 4th visit and how transactions work on Gofundme can affect me being able to renew the stay. Especially for the 4th one.
Tumblr media
I do not know how long I'm going to stay here, my homeless status is indefinite, I'll I can do is continue to work on finding resources for housing that will fit my financial situation while I try to stay in the hotel as much as possible. 10K USD is the amount asked because I know it may take a while to get things sorted, I may not need that amount, but if I don't and I reach it, I could always use it for deposits and so on as well as furnishing my apartment whenever I can get there. I apologize how lengthy this is. I do not use Tumblr often so if you want to get more frequent updates about what is being donated and my current status is, there's a few places you can follow me at. Twitter (Main): https://twitter.com/Remellu Instagram (main): https://www.instagram.com/remeiu/ Bluesky: https://bsky.app/profile/remellu.bsky.social I also posted a video in regards to the gofundme on both tiktok and youtube (i may also put these on both my instagrams if the length is allowed. Twitter also has it) Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@remeiu/video/7333364564697894186 Youtube: https://youtu.be/YWokYi2gl0g Again, I'll appreciate any help I will get, and I will also try to come back on this site to update this stuff as well, I'm just not good at remembering I have a tumblr. The best you can do if you can't donate is reblog or share on your other social media we are both on. Thank you in advance!

!! ART COMMISSION !!
What is art commission? You pay me to make me draw things you want to see, as simple as that, but this is my commission so heed that there are rules/limitations of my own!
If you're seeing this post via reblog, please check the post date and look for the original post, not the reblogs, because commission status and the terms might've been changed/updated by the time you're reading it. I might reblog this myself whenever I open the commission.
Current commission status: CLOSED(taking a break)
SLOTS: [ ] [ ]
Detailed wall of texts guide goes down here, if you're going to apply please read them first so you're aware of what you can expect from me. ↓
I'll ONLY DRAW
Humanoid non-humans
It means anything that somehow shares silhouette of human(e.g. overall disposition of head and limbs), is obviously a person, but is not a human in an apparent way. Be it a goblin, imp, kobold, demon, furry people, inkling, android, whatevs. Go look what I've been drawing to these days, I bet you know what I'm talking about. You can bring them from your original character pool, or from a cartoon, or some games, etc.
Note that what I'm taking now is NOT 'design things from scratch' commission. I require clear references.
Along with those above, I'm capable of drawing some basic elemental visual effects like flames([1][2]), waters([1]), lightnings([1][2][3]), dust clouds([1][2][3]) and earth cracks([1][2]). Just tell me if you particularly want to include those in your commission piece.
I WON'T/CAN'T DRAW
Crossover - I won't put your OCs and other existing media characters together in a same piece. It also applies for different characters from different media.
Webtoon~Comics format
Most sky-scraping tall robotics - Transformers, GUNDAM or in that line of genre.
Background/Landscape details
Excessively complex objects
Realistic modern firearms
Sexual theme, either explicit or subtle
Nudity? - That depends like, Pokémons such as Tinkaton are humanoid and technically naked but look not so naked. Otherwise, unlikely.
Fetishes of all kind
Characters with astronomically huge tits - No offense, I just have no idea how to handle them properly.
Bloody gore element - Though mild body horrors are feasible in some degree. See my OC [Hess] for example. It's neither cuts nor bloodshed.
Independent original characters that belong to somebody other than you - Don't ask for third person's OC, unless you two are friends and there is approval. I'll double-check.
Whatever that makes me feel uncomfortable - Due to strict copyright? Personal preference? It might be anything that I didn't list here. If I don't feeling it, that's it.
THE PROCESS
Contact [email protected], then:
Let me know that you're asking for a commission.
Tell me whether it's about drawing your OC(Original Character. I need you to show me proper reference images. Either via email attachment or via image hosting sites.) or characters from existing media(you know, cartoons and games)
If I don't accept, I'll inform you that I'm not interested.
Otherwise, I'll respond and ask you "how do you want it to be". This is about direction of the piece, which refers to how the character will be presented, like the pose, action, facial expression and more. If you show me the exact references (like pictures searched up on Google) that's better. If you're only gonna suggest me a character and want to leave the rest up to me, you can tell me so. I can still reject your commission at this stage If I'm not really into your direction.
If I fully accept I'll send you a transaction link where you can pay directly from your PayPal balance. While you're at it please put a comment regarding your email under the sum section so I can identify your payment. As soon as I check the payment I'll start drawing, and send you the finished piece via email when it's done.
If there are obvious and critical errors I made like missing tail, flipped hand or such, I will fix them of course, but don't expect too much about further adjustment on demand. Even though the final version turns out not so satisfying to you, I can't really help about it. After verifying the delivery the transaction completes.
+ If you're about to upload the final piece which is larger than 850x850 to website like twitter please tell me that so I will send you an indexed color mode version along with the original. Indexed image loses some color palettes but prevent twitter's horrible png resizing.
PRICING
Baseline is $80 per piece.
Includes 1 character, full color and shading by default.
Different characters in a single piece adds up $40 each, up to 2 more extra characters.
If an extra character is extremely simple or small compare to others I might just consider them as an appendage rather than an extra character. e.g. Big the Cat and Froggy (Sonic the Hedgehog series), Harmony/Annie and their clownfish (Splatoon series)
I prioritize drawing full-body. It can be thigh-up or even waist-up depending on your demand (or at my discretion if you didn't give me any direction) but this does not affect the price.
You can ask for multiple same characters in a single piece, but in that case it most likely be one simpler full-body and several waist-ups. This does not affect the price.
Tumblr media
Background is flat white by default. I can fill them with different flat colors or put simple figures or put gradients, or make it transparent as you ask. Pitch black background + outline around the character is also doable(check some of the deltarune fan arts I did). This does not affect the price.
Adding some elemental visual effects does not affect the price.
ESTIMATED ARRIVAL TIME AND REFUNDS
I doubt the discussing part alone can be somewhat dragged on due to the time zone/schedule difference, but I also believe the whole thing can be done under two weeks, or more depending on the conditions and real life issues.
Basically 'no refund' once I receive your payment and start drawing the piece, however, I'd willingly refund you if I can't finish the piece in time due to my own personal reason.
REGARDING THE USAGE OF FINAL PRODUCT:
Commercial use of my commissioned artworks is prohibited.
Do not relate my drawings with cryptocurrency activities.
Final products may be used as a sample in my future commission introduction page.
It's okay to post them online, use them as a header, banner, profile or such for your blogs/social media page, as long as it's non-profit use.
I can post them on my own blog/social media if I'd like to.
BEFORE YOU APPLY:
You need PayPal account for the trade. I'm not accepting any other method as of now. Also please pay with USD if possible!
Please take a gander at fanart, original stuff and other's oc on my blog so you get what my art style is like and how I reinterpret existing characters. Applying for my commission also means that you're agreeing to the visual changes I make in the process.
My drawings are .png files and NOT resize-friendly due to use of binary pen! And the final size of a piece will barely exceed 1000x1000 so keep that in mind if you use super wide screen or if you're about to do something with my finished works.
제가 한국 계좌 쓰는 한국 사람인 관계로 한국인이시면 페이팔을 통한 거래가 불가능합니다
If you got further questions that's not answered here(other than bargaining the price), feel free to ask them via my email. [email protected]
