SUKUNA WOULD KILL FOR HIS SWEET WIFE, and he has done so before. Quite a few bullets were buried in the skulls of many terrible individuals who made a frown appear upon your face, or worse, made a tear fall.
A vulgar man making comments about you. A crappy mechanic who scammed you and refused to issue a refund. The careless, distracted driver who rear-ended you last week.
What a day that was. You had called your dear husband — holding back tears as you spoke — because you needed transportation after the car accident.
While Sukuna was on the phone with you, he could hear the careless, distracted driver in the background shouting bewildering nonsense about how the accident was somehow your fault.
Did someone really have the nerve to shout at his wife? His wife?
The chaos made you cry harder. The driver would barely let you get a word in, but when he did pause to catch his breath, you mumbled, “You don’t know my husband, sir. If I were you, I wouldn’t speak to me that way.”
The driver didn’t care. He continued to shout. To berate you. Sukuna stayed quiet throughout the phone call as he made his way to your location.
And that shouting man? That careless, distracted driver? He went weak at the knees when he saw Ryomen Sukuna arrive at the scene.
“Did I . . . Did I really rear-end Sukuna’s wife? I’m gonna die. He’s gonna fucking kill me,” the driver thought.
Tears fell from his eyes seeing the huge man, the one person everyone — everyone — in town knew not to mess with, emerging from his vehicle.
To make matters worse, there was a bruise on your forehead.
The man was rambling on and on. It was some sort of pathetic apology. Sukuna didn’t know. Sukuna didn’t care.
He simply killed him, gathered your belongings out of your car, and carried you to his — there was no way he’d let your favorite shoes get ruined with blood stains.
“I’ve got you, pretty girl,” he said as he carried you. “Don’t you worry about a thing.”
Sukuna took you home. Only after stopping to pick up food from your favorite takeout restaurant first, of course.

your heart sinks with every nauseating tick of the clock, signaling the hours that pass until dinner.
satoru promised he’d be here on time no matter what and so you waited, yet you find yourself alone at the table, unable to stomach your food. with a heavy sigh, you store everything inside containers to put in the fridge, making sure to cover his plate in saran wrap for when he returned so he could heat it up, ignoring that dark voice in the back of your head that told you it wasn’t necessary because he might not be coming back to you at all.
shaking away the negative thoughts, you head to bed, only to toss and turn in your sheets for what feels like an eternity because oddly enough, it doesn’t feel the same. they’re colder than usual, unlike the home you’re used to, and perhaps that was because you normally could not sleep without him. but combined with the anxiousness and worry, it was practically impossible at this point, and somehow the warmth around you fades increasingly every moment he’s not here with you.
frustrated and fearful tears prick at your eyes, and you clutch his pillow close to your chest, inhaling the lingering scent of your husband and hoping it never fades. could this be it? would this finally be the day he doesn’t return back safely into your arms? the day you’ve dreaded ever since he made you part of his world?
in the deafening and unnatural silence, you think your ears play a trick on you when they pick up on a distant clattering down the hall from your bedroom. your eyes shoot open, breath hitching — and the beating organ in your chest stops for a second. perhaps it was the cat? or perhaps it was a trick from how loudly your heart thunders in your ears and chest. it does absolutely nothing to stop you as you slowly pad your way back into the dimly lit kitchen for the final time that night, seeking the hopeful confirmation that will breathe stability back into your lungs.
……..it was him. it was really him. he was back.
but he was hurt.
though you felt in that moment it was the least of your current concerns so you’d acknowledge that later. he seemed fine in the grand scheme of things. right now however, you felt more relief than anything — and maybe a little bit of anger. not at him though, never at him, not truly.
you felt frozen in place, watching as he rummages through the refrigerator. rubbing your eyes and blinking away the fatigue and tears, you try ensuring what you were seeing was reality and not just a figment of your imagination, your words stuck in your throat. in an attempt to stay strong, inevitably, your voice wobbles.
“you’re late.”
and satoru, that idiot, whips his head to face you with wide eyes, straightening up at the sight of you before flashing a sheepish grin in response despite the numerous cuts littering his pretty face, rubbing the back of his neck in the way that he does when he’s at a loss for words. and maybe he is, maybe because he almost just died, and yet instead of coming to greet you and tell you that he’s safe (for the most part) — instead he decides to ravage the fridge, one scarred arm stuck in the cool rectangle like a child caught sneaking cookies from the jar.
“i know. i’m always late.” he breathes through an infuriating huff of laughter, as if everything was okay. “i told you i’d be home for dinner — and technically it’s not midnight just yet……so i still made it on time, right?”
he always has to have the last word.

I'm Still Yours
pairing: yandere!husband!Caleb x wife!reader
tags: angst, HINTS of fluff, explosions ig, romance, pregnancy, established relationship-married, obsession, I don't even know if I can call this yandere since it's Caleb LMAO, no other descriptions except for pregnant fem reader, no beta we die like Caleb
Based on this post
Tumblr media
Caleb’s heartbeat lulled you into a sense of security as you leaned against his chest. His heartbeat was steady, strong, a reassuring rhythm beneath your fingertips. You pressed your palm to his chest, closing your eyes as his warmth wrapped around you.
“I still can’t believe it,” he murmured, his fingers brushing over the small swell of your belly. “We’re having a baby.”
You roll your eyes as a soft smile tugged at your lips. “You’ve been saying that for months, don’t you get tired of it?”
“Nope, I’ll probably keep saying it until she’s here.” Caleb bent down, pressing a kiss to your temple. “I can’t wait to meet her. My pipsqueak’s going to be a mother.”
Your fingers tightened in his uniform. “And to think the man who accidentally locked and left me in the attic is going to be a father.”
Caleb chuckled, the sound low and rich. “Hey! That was an accident. Besides, I’m going to spoil the little princess rotten, you know that?”
You laughed. “Never doubted it.”
Tumblr media
In the blink of an eye, your very world crashed and burned.
One moment, you were laughing from his cheesy dad jokes, the next, he was ripped away from you so soon. That  violent explosion reduced your childhood home into burning rubble. The blast came without warning, its deafening boom swallowed everything in its path. You clutched your belly, your trembling hands desperate to shield the unborn life within you.
Smoke filled the air, searing your throat with every desperate breath. Through tear-filled eyes, you tried to push yourself up, your vision dimming, contrasting the fiery wreckage that had once been your safe haven. You screamed his name, your voice raw and broken, but it was futile.
Your mind refused to accept the truth.
Your heart almost pounded out of your chest as you clawed at the debris, your hands raw from trying to find any sign of him. The heat charred your skin, and the metallic scent of blood and ash filled your nostrils, but none of it mattered.
All that mattered was finding him.
You gasped for air, struggling to stay conscious as exhaustion and grief devoured you. Inside of you, Caleb’s permanent reminder stirred, a faint reminder that you were not entirely alone.
But how could you go on without him? To live in a world that cruelly took him from you? A world that could take your baby too?
Your body trembled as sobs wracked your frame, the realization stabbing you in the heart.
He was gone.
The love of your life, the father of your child, the man who had promised to always be by your side—gone in an instant.
And all you could do was scream his name.
Tumblr media
It was suffocating.
Every morning, you woke up reaching for him, only to find the bed cold and empty. The silence of your room was deafening, broken only by the soft whimpers of your newborn baby—Caleb’s daughter. The symbol of the love that the two of you carefully curated over the years.
You were on maternity leave, which meant endless hours spent alone, caring for a child who would never meet her father. A child who had Caleb’s eyes, his hair, his smile. Every time you looked at her, it was a cruel reminder of the very man you had lost.
Some nights, you cried yourself to sleep. Other nights, you sat in the nursery, holding your baby close, whispering stories about her father so She would never forget the man who loved and cherished her before she was even born.
Tumblr media
The Farspace Fleet, a name spoken in hushed whispers, an organization so powerful that even the highest-ranking officials answered to their commander—the Fleet Colonel.
No one dared to challenge him. No one questioned his authority.
And now, he was here.
Caleb.
But he was not your Caleb.
He stood before you, his uniform pristine, his expression unreadable and devoid of any emotions. But his eyes—those same eyes you had fallen in love with—burned with something dangerous. Something obsessive.
Your heart pounded. “Caleb…”
His gaze softened as he stepped forward, reaching for you. “Fate can be cruel. In this world, you live. You and our baby.” His lips curled into something akin to relief, but there was a dark edge to it.
“I won’t lose you again.”
Tumblr media
From that moment, he made it his mission to take you back.
He used his power, his influence, his fleet to ensure you and the baby were safe, protected, provided for. But it wasn’t just protection—it was control. Every move you made, every decision, he was there.
Watching.
Waiting.
Unfortunately for you, he couldn’t differentiate from protecting you and taking away your freedom.
“I can give you everything,” he murmured one night, standing in the doorway of your quarters. “A life without struggle. Without fear. All you have to do is let me in.”
You swallowed hard. “Caleb, this isn’t right.”
His jaw tightened. “In my universe, I failed. I let you die. Do you know what that did to me?” He stepped closer, his presence overwhelming. “I spent every second of my life without you in agony. Don’t you understand, pips? I can’t lose you again. ”
You looked down at your daughter, sleeping peacefully in your arms. “But I’m not her. And she’s not…”
“She is my daughter. Our little princess, remember?” Caleb’s voice was firm, unwavering. “And you are my wife.”
Tears burned your eyes. “My Caleb is dead.”
His hand cupped your cheek, his thumb brushing away the tear that slipped down your face. “We promised to love each other in every universe. The Caleb you knew is still me, and so will the others in every universe. One thing that will never change is the love we have for you.”
Tumblr media
You didn’t know how long you could resist him.
He was everywhere. Every time your daughter reached for him, calling him “Dada,” something inside you cracked. Every time he looked at you with that desperate longing.
You felt your resolve wavering.
Tumblr media
welp, i tried.

cw: angst, slight fluff, canon compliant?, character death and injuries, hurt no comfort, grief, mourning, non-binary reader/reader insert, poorly proofread lol
a/n: cried a little while I wrote this.. I miss him sm :(
Tumblr media
When Gojo Satoru died that day, a piece of you died with him.
As you stood above his grave, you couldn’t help but reminisce about happier times—your old high school days, when everything was so much simpler.
You missed those goofy glasses he used to wear, his god-awful fashion sense, the way he used to walk—lanky limbs all carefree.
You missed his toothy smile, and how he always made time to help you with your training, even when he was exhausted from his own missions. And yet, he never once complained.
You remember how the four of you—Shoko, Suguru, Satoru, and you—used to sneak out of the dorms, slipping past Yaga as you all made your way to the convenience store, all because of Satoru’s sweet tooth.
You remember how he used to barge into your room, sprawling across your bed, his lanky frame taking up too much space as you fussed over his cuts and bruises.
Gojo and Geto were unforgivable when training together, leaving you to mend Satoru’s wounded ego. Gentle hands working carefully to patch him up and soft lips pressing against Hello Kitty bandaids to ease the pain.
You missed waking up in the mornings to find him in the kitchen, attempting to cook your favorite meal—Shoko and Suguru watching from the sidelines, amused as he made a mess of the common room.
You missed getting detention with him, staying behind after class to clean up—all because Gojo kept passing you silly little notes during Yaga’s very important lectures on the misuse of cursed objects in modern times.
You missed how carefree he was. Back then, he wasn’t the strongest. He didn’t have to carry the weight of the world. Back then, he was just Gojo Satoru—a loser and a lovesick teenager.
And now, all you could do was stand before his grave, reminiscing over someone he once was—over the life you once had.
He left you behind so easily, with nothing but memories of the past in his absence.
Suddenly, the ring on your finger felt a bit tighter, but nothing could compare to the painful clenching of your heart.
“You liar,” you think to yourself.
So much for his promises of being the strongest.

"Eight years in hell. . ."
You were seated on top of a desk playing with a snow globe in your hands.
"Can really make you go crazy." Your head hits the wall behind you, slowly turning to the bleeding man on the ground, once again receiving a blow to the face from a man dressed in dark red.
"P- please. . . I don't know anything. I swear." The man whimpers as he begged.
You sighed. "You're lying. I really, really hate liars' doctor." You through the snow globe onto the ground, shattering the glass. The man in red took your small fit of rage as a signal and pulled out a gun, pressing it against the doctor's head.
The bleeding doctor felt another type of fear the moment he felt the cool metal against his temple.
"W-wait! Wait! Please! I have a family; I'm begging you please!" The doctor cried and begged. The man in red glanced to you, you sighed and waved you're hand off. The man in red put his finger on the trigger, about to shoot.
"WAIT- Gotham hospital! She was at Gotham hospital!"
The man in red paused and glanced over to you.
You walked closer to the doctor, crouching down to the man's current level, as the man in red slowly pulled the gum away, the doctor felt a large wave of relief wash over him.
"Are you sure?"
The doctor nods "She s-saw Doctor Hill, that's all I know, I promise that's all I know."
You stay silent for a moment before standing up. "Thank you for your cooperation."
The Doctor felt relived. Wanting to go back to his wife and kids, hug them as tight as he could-
BAM!
The Doctor fell with a thud. Blood slowly seeping out of his body as you tossed the gun you used to shoot the doctor to the man in red.
"That's for lying" You mumbled as you stare at the doctor's body with indiffrence.
You've been out of Arkham for almost a month now. You should be relaxing, try to fit back into society. But no, your mother was missing, the Falcone's didn't know where her whereabouts were, some made comments of her abandoning you the moment you got out, which coursed them to have a slow death for their crude comments.
Your mother loves you, and you know she would never abandon you. So now you're searching. But you aren't getting to her fast enough. And your growing impatient. You wanted to come back out into the world and run into the arms of your mother, but your just met with Gotham's ugly mug. It angered you beyond words.
The man in red, Rex, works for the Falcones, but has come to be loyal to you. Rex followed behind you as you walked out of the room and down the halls.
"Give doctor hill a visit for me, will ya?" You spoke coldly as your heels clicked loudly walking down the empty hall of an abandoned building. Rex nods before speaking up.
"What about you Miss Falcone. Are you going back to the Falcon manor?"
Ah, yes. You took your mother's last name. All done in paper. No more, Y/n Wayne. That little girl is dead.
". . . No, I need to grab a few things."
🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸
Alfred knows you have been out for a month, so why have you not come back to the manor?
Alfred tried to keep in touch as much as possible during your time in Arkham. Every phone call, he could hear that sweet innocent girl he knew fade. He has tried to phone you multiple times but no use. Even tracking you down with was difficult, Alfred has tried to tell Bruce about his worry for you not coming home, But Bruce seemed to almost immediately shut down at the mention of your name.
He's worried for you, he just wants to see you, and make sure you're okay.
There was a met Gala being held today. Preparing for it was exhausting, but it was like that every time a gala had to be held. Everyone scattered all over the manor.
With a heavy sigh, Alfred entered the kitchen, the gala's close to an end, the rich of Gotham turning in for the night. But Alfred comes to a stop when he noticed a woman in the kitchen, dressed in a dark red dress, her back faced to him as she picked up a glass of wine.
"Excuse me ma'am, you're not supposed to be in the back here." Alfred spoke firmly with his usual stoic expression. The woman in red slowly turns around with the wine glass in hand. Then she spoke, the face, Alfred surely does not recognize, but the voice. He knows your voice.
"I rather be away from the crowed, if you don't mind." You gave the older man a small smirk as you see the realization hit him.
"Miss Y/n?"
Your small smirk cracked even wider. Alfred walks closer, shocked to see you here, in the kitchen munching on some sweets, just like you used to when you were younger.
You shrugged with a small giggle slipping from your red lips
"The one and only"
🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸
"Miss Y/n, come, Master Bruce must know your home!" Alfred might not show it a lot, but he is overjoyed to see you in the manor again. You've grown so much.
"Ah, well I was hoping to just grab some things from my old room and head out." You try to walk off to the back staires
"Nonsense, come, come." Alfred needed you to meet the family. For the family to see you. He touched your back as to lead you out of the kitchen and into the dining room.
You immediately flinched away.
Your negative reaction causes the butler to coil back.
"Miss. . .?"
You let out a weak cuckle.
"Sorry, I'm not fond of being touched." You began to meekly rub your hands together. Alfred comes to realize your time in Arkham has damaged you in some way's he might not be able to know yet.
"No need to apologize miss Y/n." Despite the small awkward moment Alfred still managed to have you walked out to see the others.
You felt an immense amount of DeJa'Vu. The walls, the detailed engraved in these walls. These walls haunted your dreams. Only half of your childhood was spent in this manor. You remember running down those stairs once Bruce came home from work. Skipping through these halls after getting a solo part in choir, something Bruce never really paid mind too.
🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸🩸
Almost everyone was here tonight. Jason, Dick, Cassandra, Tim, Damian and Duke. Steph couldn't make it. Barbra was spending time with her father. And. . .
Bruce watched as his children chat, argue, laugh. He smiles to himself as he takes a sip of his glass of white wine.
"Where's Alfred?" Damian spoke up as he turned his head in search for the butler that is always usually hovering around. Bruce shrugs
"Most likely in the kitchen."
Suddenly, the doors open, in comes Alfred with a smile on his face.
"Alfred." Bruce can tell Alfred seems to be in a more chipper mood than he was in half an hour ago.
"We have a visitor." Alfred's words confused the others. Then you stepped up. You scanned the room. Some faces new, some old. Others were still confused, either not recognizing you due to the years that have passed, or the fact they simply didn't know who you were.
But Bruce didn't take long to recognize you. And the way he paled at the sight of you, it just made you smirk at his reaction. Dick was quick to follow the realization.
"Y/n . . ." Bruce mumbled.
Jason's head whipped to Bruce once he heard the name. Looking back at you then to Bruce.
"Y/n, we thought you were still . . ." Dick tried to speak, but he seemed to get more uncomfortable with just thinking of his words.
You wait for Dick to say the words, but clearly, he was still in shock to say it.
"Arkham? I've been, rehabilitated." You say this with a soft smile.
Jason, trying to process what the actual fuck is going on right now stayed silent. Damian also confused spoke up.
"Father who is this woman?"
Your eyes snapped to the young boy, your head tilt for a moment. Walking closer to the table. Your heels click as you kept your eyes on the young boy, and Bruce kept his eyes on you. Still not believing you were out.
"I'm his daughter. Blood, daughter." You spoke as you kept a playful manner to yourself. The Damian frowns. "Imposible. I'm fathers only blood child."
You paused for a moment. You seem to be analyzing the situation.
"Is that what dear old daddy said." Your chuckle, almost darkly, as you sipped on your glass of red wine. Alfred pulled up a seat at the end of the table, across from Bruce. You took a seat.
The room that was once filled with chatter and warm air was now silent and tension filled the air. You leaned back into the chair; Alfred re-fills your glass.
"Thank you, Alfred." You kept a small playful smile on your red lips. You let out a small sigh before speaking
"So, what did I miss?"

─ · · A/N: This is my first time EVER writing long-form smut... please be kind I was so embarrassed while writing this lol (hoping its not too shit) 🙈
─────── · ·
─ · · drip... drip... drip... water slowly fell from a corner of the ceiling in your cold cell, you hugged your knees to your chest, chair wobbling as you shivered. The lights were too bright to sleep and with what little food they expected you to work off of, you were scrambling for answers.
─ · · Everyday you tried to explain to the guards that you were only the assistant, could only work with your scientists. The last time you had conducted personal research was when apply to the academy yet nobody believed you, a slap to the face as they told you to work harder. Your hands shook around the barrel of a gun as you twisted on the scope- you looked at the blueprints one last time and then fired it at the wall.
The guards did not budge just listening to the bang echo, blankly watching as you fell backwards form the impact. The burst of magic coming out unstable and crumbling bits of the stone wall... fuck! you muttered underneath your breath. Using the end of the gun like a cane to help pick yourself up before stumbling back to the drawing board.
Hextech was not going to work, there was no metal strong enough to correct the blast... but what if it was not meant to hold... what if it exploded? You shook your head, disturb that you had even thought about it yet a hand shook the bars to your cell, your head whipping over, eyes wide as Ambessa looked down upon you. "Whatever it is that came though your mind, make it and you will be allowed out for a moment. Is that a deal?"
You looked down at your hands, holding them together as you nodded, waiting for her to leave before turning back around. You listened as the elevator doors closed but a new voice stopped your movements. "Please, just follow her words. It'll make everything easier," you gasped seeing the officer you shared a night with emerge from the shadows. His eyes sunken, scar across his cheek.
You winced, his name leaving your mouth as he nodded, "still as beautiful as that night," he said to you and you pulled your sleeves further down your arms. "I mean it," he adds, hands resting on the bars of your cell. "release me," you asked gently, hope bleeding in your wide eyes. He stared at you, mouth opening and closing before shaking his head.
You turned back around, going back to your desk yet he continued to speak even as another guard warned him, "I can't, not unless they find another person with the knowledge you have. They need these weapons for the oncoming war..."
"They don't need weapons," you scoff, pencil snapping in two, "just like we don't need war... people just want the quickest results." No one speaks another word as you disassemble the shotgun, breaking it down into smaller parts as the darkest parts of your mind comes to the surface... I refuse to be the one that places this land in destruction... I refuse.
─────── · ·
─ · · With the rune taking its place within his forearm his tattoo on the other, he was the polar opposites of what Hextech could do... of what it had done to the people he was closest to and loved the most.
─ · · Acting on what was beyond his mortal brain and body, Jayce was felt as if he was falling from the sky, his brain a blur of the horrors he had just seen mixing with reality just as he slammed down on Salo's figure. He staggered and stumbled afterwards, the voices still unpleased, demanding he go to Viktor's sanctuary where Jayce did not even recognizing the familiar faces he saw, he was determined to eliminate Viktor. To shoot him down, to watch as his body hit the floor, to see if he still bled.
─ · · The world went silent as soon as the shot happened as if a sound barrier went through the houses and homes before a thousand cries sounded and all of Viktor's followers fell to the floor, unmoving. Jayce fell forwards, his strength gone, vision clearing as he stared with wide eyes observing Jayce. His mind was still buzzing a voice demanding for him to continue brutalizing the corpse yet he held his arcane hammer. Forcing his muscles to freeze. Viktor still was his partner, a cold bucket of water feels like it spills over his skin, clarity in his mind that immediately goes to you.
─────── · ·
─ · · Piltover is cheering as he emerges from the sewers, he cannot find it in himself to smile or react, simply watching as the crowd parts. The cheers dying into gasps as they observe the scars across his chest, the torn white uniform and his unruly appearance. His hammer groans behind him, the arcane still unsettled as it picks and pries at his memories, trying to regain control yet without seeing you, there was no hope in hell he was allowing any force to come between him and you.
─ · · Jayce only stops once seeing that little girl again hiding behind her fathers legs, she appears so much older now as Jayce presses a hand to his forehead, pulling back his hair- eyes gone wide. Had he been gone that long? Had you already given up on him? Jayce would forgive you, it wouldn't be fair if you hadn't waited for him yet a large part of him prayed so... he wanted nothing more to kiss you, to feel his skin against your skin, to hear you call out his name. Jayce's boots picked up their pace as he was a one-track mind, determined to get to the lab where he last left you.
─ · · His hands gripped his hammer, his eyes hardened as he bursted into the lab, his eyes searching, weapon swinging as his heart dropped... you were not here. Jayce's hammer fell with a thud, cracking the floors as he yelled your name, spinning in circles as he looked towards the ceiling and all the dark corners of the room. Jayce chuckled, shaking his head as he saw blood all over your leftover journals. Your always organized tools sprayed out across Viktor's desk you both promised not to touch, a chair flipped over and then... he looked under his desk and felt sick.
He could see where your nails had dug into the wood, scratching, he could hear you begging and pleading as his fingers brushed over the marks. With a broken sob, Jayce fell to his knees, forcing a fist into his mouth as he choked but no tears fell. His shoulder began to shake, his muscles tensing as he yelled out in frustration, throwing everything off the desk watching it shatter against the floor, "Fuck!"
Jayce took a series of deep breaths before storming to his hammer, allowing it to drag against the floors as sparks followed his footsteps. He felt his side start to bleed again, he would treat himself, he was not that far removed in his anger to endanger you further... no he would prepare and then he would allow himself to enjoy the blood across his face and the weight of you on his chest.
─────── · ·
─ · · "Kiramman!" Jayce shouted, storming into Caitlyn's house. The blue haired woman did not turn, her long blue coat rested upon her shoulders as her gaze while looking at Jinx's face on the board, she had to continue playing her role up until the final moment. "That is general to you," she said turning around before seeing a familiar blue glow and Jayce's hammer charged- the words dying on her lips as she held her palms up calmly, "Jayce," she warned watching as the mans eyes hardened. His face appeared more aged, his clothes form fitting in a deep green button up and black trousers.
A soft glow coming from his forearm had her raising a brow as Jayce chest heaved, "where's my girl, Kiramman?" he spoke coldly, fixing his grip, the leather of his gloves groaning as Caitlyn took a few steps forward. "I have been searching for her as well, Jayce. I have a feeling it has something to do with Mel's mother."
Jayce remembers her stare as you sat in the medical tent together... those events seemed so distant now. Jayce cracks his neck, his arms tensing as Caitlyn slightly flitches, trying to hold her ground. Jayce stares her down, daring her to lie but Cait only spoke the truth. The man nods, powering down his stance before leaning against his hammer, "How far has the search gone? How do you know she's with Ambessa? How can I know to trust you?"
Caitlyn sighs, removing her hat, arms crossing over her chest, shotgun leaning against her desk as she stares at the gemstone within it, rattling around in its cage. Jayce follows her stare, his eyes widening, the voices in his head threatening to rise to the surface. He shakes his head, physically trying to remove them with a growl.
"I am her friend as I am your's Jayce. Had I had known this is what Ambessa was planning... I would have never sided with her. The gemstone has been unstable since (name) has been taken, I assume it has something to do with her playing around with magic to appease the tyrant," Caitlyn explains, picking at her nails before looking up at Jayce, "Now how do I know to trust you with the rest of the information? Are you sure she'll want to see you more animal than man?"
Jayce glares, "I am still a man, perhaps more than I had been in the past-"
"That was not my question, Jayce," the General cuts the Councillor off, "I was asking, are you ready if she does not want you back?"
─────── · ·
─ · · You could hear shouting again and rolled your eyes, assuming the red guard to be training once again yet a part of you swore to hear Jayce's voice roaring, the sound of his mechanical hammer wizzing with magic- you stood up from your chair as did your assigned guards. Maybe it was just imaginative hope...
You could hear their weapons click on as you picked up the last gemstone you hadn't used and hid in a corner of the cell. Whoever was coming was leaving a trail of destruction that you did not want to see nor be a part of.
You listened to the trail of blood and guts becoming closer, bodies thudding to the floor as you closed your eyes, hugging yourself, making yourself smaller as you pleaded for it all to be over. In all honesty, you realized just how safe this cage allowed you to be. It saved you from Ambessa's lashings, saved you from the eyes of the guards when you hid in the shadows... and then you could hear your assigned officer stuttering, metal shattering with a slam, your door being swung open.
You listened, squeezing your eyes shut as laboured breaths echoed in the cold air, heard as their boots walked up to your desk, moving papers gently before picking up your unfinished models, a thoughtful hum sounding before they turned around abruptly. Another slam was heard, blue dimming as you held your breath.
The metal chair you spent so much time on groaned as it was pulled out and away from the table before... nothing, they must have sat down... why? You opened your eyes slowly, trying to squint through the darkness, your breaths shallow- "I can see your boots, sweetheart, come, now," You hear a deep strained voice commands as you feel their stare on your face.
You push your hands against the stone walls, helping yourself to stand as you take a half step into the light, just enough to see whoever is at the other side... Jayce? Jayce! Your eyes see your lover before you as he sits utterly exhausted yet eyes wild; sweat dripping down his forehead, his lips parted as he inhales deeply, tipping his head back. Broad shoulders rising and falling with his shirt as he stares at you, legs spread lazily- one encased in metal.
You blink once... twice... thrice. Your throat dry as you try and comprehend how he is here... you start to look away, eyes catching drops of blood across the concrete floors, you start to follow the trail before Jayce calls for you again, "don't look over there. Come here, please," he adds a bit more softly this time, his palm facing upwards on his thigh, fingers wiggling in leather to entice you.
You take a few steps closer, still unsure if this was your Jayce as you stand just barley within reach. You watch as his hazel eyes drink in your appearance and form, starting from your shoes, up to your waist, chest, and then settles of your features. His eyes caress your face in a loving stare, you can feel the warmth in his gaze hidden underneath his cold exterior, your cheeks warm as you grab your arm.
"Jayce?" you ask timidly, you watch as his eyes darken as you say his name before closing, a small smile appearing as his head hangs low -swaying. "Jayce?" you ask again, a bit of panic in your tone as you rush to stand in front of him. You gasp once feeling him grip the back of your thighs, squeezing gently. He opens his eyes, looking up through his long lashes at you with nothing short of adoration, "I've missed hearing my name between your lips."
Your mouth gapes as your mind goes blank, eyes staring widely into his own- listening to him chuckle as his hands slide up over your butt to your lower back before pushing gently for you to take a seat on his lap. Your hands start to shake, brain exploding by the hundred senses you experience as his thumb draws circles upon your hip, his chin resting on your shoulder, beard scratching at your skin as you squirm by the heat of his breath. He grips your hips, taking a sharp intake of air, he bites his lip, concealing his moan, "Can I kiss you?"
You place your hands on his chest, a palm feeling his heart beating rapidly just like yours before you feel around to his back and grip his shoulders pulling him in for a hug. You close your eyes, sobbing into the crook of his neck and shoulder as he holds you closely, shushing you gently. You squeeze your thighs and arms against him, trying to get closer, to feel that he was not just a dream, "Yes."
─────── · · ⭐️
Jayce being aware of his strength gives you a tight squeeze, listening to you gasp before he slowly lets go and presses a kiss to your shoulder. You lean your head to the side, exposing your neck- feeling as Jayce's fingers comb your hair aside. Next you feel his mouth leave open wet kisses trailing from your shoulder slowly up to just above your collarbone before moving to a place on your neck that has you scratching his back from the sensitivity.
You feel Jayce's smirk against your skin, he bites down playfully hearing you yelp but before you can turn your head to glare, he blows on the spot gently before sucking on the sore skin. Your entire body shakes, "Jayce," you breathily say his name, eyes closing from the thousand tickles that go up to your brain as you collapse against his chest, you tap his back thrice, Jayce pulls away with a satisfied hum, admiring the mark.
You nuzzle your face into his shoulder, hand reaching to pull his shirts collar aside as you quickly kiss up his neck eager to feel his lips against yours. A sudden slap against your butt has you pulling your head back as you see Jayce playfully glaring at you, "eager little thing, aren't you?"
"Jayce," you whine out, shaking your head and pulling away- suddenly feeling embarrassed, eyes looking anywhere but at him. Seeing your shyness, Jayce braces you against his chest with his forearm against your back, your chests pressed up against one another; he knows how eye contact effects you, allowing your eyes to reset as you looked around the room, enjoying his touch.
A few moments pass before you feel his lips by your ear as his other hand plays with your hair, "I want us to enjoy this, we have time, sweetheart." You nod as Jayce moves his hold back to your waist, his head tilting as you press a tentative kiss to a vein, listening to him hum in approval before continuing, slower this time.
You press kisses up his neck, biting just behind his ear to hear him growl. Your thighs clench at the sound, your hands gripping his hair as you feel a large palm place a gentle pressure at the back of your head, keeping you on that one spot before allowing you to pull away with hooded eyes.
Jayce licks his lips, chest heaving, his eyes watching your puffy lips part in a silent ask before he leans forwards, pressing hard as you moan against his lips. Your hands start to unbutton his shirt, feeling his skin against your palms before shrugging off your lab coat. Your brain feels foggy from the lack of air as you start to pull away, feeling as Jayce softly bites down on your lower lip before letting go.
You pause, seeing the scars against his chest, your finger hovering over before you feel leather against your wrist as he pushes your hand over the mark. You don't move, looking to Jayce for clarity, "I'm still the man you knew before, I promise." You can sense an equal truth and pleading to his tone.
"Do they hurt?" you ask softly, Jayce shakes his head, "not anymore. It feels good when you touch me actually." You laugh, shaking your head feeling as Jayce kissing your jaw, "I missed that sound too." Your heart swells as you trace the lines and contours of his chest. "I love you, Jayce."
"I love you too, so please, let me show you." Your eyes go wide, your brain returning to you as you feel as Jayce touch loosens on you his eyes widening too, "I mean we don't have to, I just-" you place a hand on his mouth, eyes shinning with humour. "Jayce, I'm not going to let you fuck me in a cell with corpses on the other side."
Jayce kisses your palm, you remove your touch. "First rude, I thought I taught you not to do that." You roll your eyes, feeling him tap your thigh in warning as you sigh. "Second, what corpses?"
You look over and to your shock, there is not a body in sight, "While I was waiting for you, Caitlyn and her team cleared and cleaned everything up," Jayce explains as you look back at him in shock. "And third," You could not believe the sass was still in him. "I never 'fuck' you, I make love to you." You begin to gag but see that Jayce is completely serious in saying this, "I mean it, (name). I love you and only want to show you that."
You look into his eyes before giving him a kiss, hearing him sigh out in relief. "Is that a yes?" you nod. "I need to hear it from you," Jayce clarifies. You take his face between your palms, "Yes, Jayce. I-I trust you." Jayce tilts his head, kissing your palm. "I might be a bit rough, but you know how to stop me, right?" You look over his dishevelled appearance again. Seeing his long hair sticking to his forehead, the lines across his face and chest, the feeling of leather against your skin.
"Three taps or shout hex." Jayce nods, leaning in to kiss your forehead, "Good girl." You shift in his lap, "That still does it for you, huh?" You don't respond and Jayce takes that as his answer with a smirk before gripping your thighs and standing. You rest your head on his shoulder before he places you on the desk and shoves everything off- clattering to the floor.
You watch as Jayce fully removes his shirt while looking down at you, unable to help himself he kisses you once before pulling away. He places his shirt on the desk before helping you out of your clothes being sure to kiss every patch of new skin he sees.
You feel warm underneath his dark stare as he looks down watching as his hand cups your sex- his thumb nears your clit through the material, resting just above, teasing, feeling as your wetness soaks through the fabric before pulling the material upwards sharply. You gasp from the friction, pressing your legs together with a moan before feeling your thighs become forced open, large hands gripping them apart. Jayce slowly bends down, his eyes focusing on how yours cloud over in pleasure as you feel his breath.
Your hands immediately latch onto his hair at the first feeling of his tongue giving a tentative lick, light yet the texture rough, you tilt your head back with a moan, body buzzing from the pleasure as he kisses your lower lips again and again. "P-please," you beg, locking your ankles over his shoulders and sigh contently once feeling the cloth get pulled aside, his touch amplified as one of his large fingers tease your entrance another circling around your clit- spelling out runes that your foggy mind couldn't even begin to concentrate on.
Jayce groans, he slowly pushes his finger deeper inside, the material of his gloves catching your walls- creating a pleasurable texture against as you clench down yet. He pumps his fingers at a slow pace, in an out, you should be embarrassed be the lewd sounds, by hearing Jayce chuckle. But when you try and move your hips- chasing his touch he pulls away swiftly, your legs falling off his shoulders as you pout at your boyfriend watching as he brings a finger up between his lips with a sigh, "I've missed this taste so much- so sweet."
You moan watching as me brings his fingers back down, your juices soaking through the leather of his gloves, his fingers glistening as he brings them closer to you mouth, taping your lip, signalling you to open, "Taste yourself."
You lower your jaw, feeling his fingers against your tongue before circling around them. Jayce observes you face as your eyes close, hands gripped your thighs in want while listening to Jayce's heavy breathing. You wiggle in your seat as Jayce pushes his fingers in more, teasing at the back of your throat as you gag before pulling out. "Such a good girl," he praises you.
But before you can respond, Jayce teases one large finger, then two. You grip at his wrist, feeling his lips leave lingering wet kisses across your chest before latching onto your nipple, his teeth graze it, you shiver before you feel him start to suck. You feel as a third finger slides in easily, you pulse and moan as his fingers curl to hit just the right spot inside of you. "Jayce," you whine in a high pitched tone.
"Already?" he chuckles picking his head back up. You hum out in pleasure, "Mhmm, I'm almost there Jayce, please," you beg but just before you can reach your peak, Jayce pulls away as you cry out in frustration. Jayce shushes you by gently squeezing your neck and pulling you in for a lingers kiss.
He pulls away, standing back as you grab the edge of the table in wait- watching as he uses his teeth to remove the straps around his wrists, his gloves falling off as he moves his shirt behind you. "Lay back," he says, watching as you lower yourself, slowly to the table.
Jayce unbuckles his pants, stepping out of his boots and kicking everything aside as you tilt your head up to watch him, heart racing as he sends you a wink. You will never get used to the sight of him, the size of him.
Jayce walks slowly up to you, your breath hitching once feeling his bulge rocking against your clit, the sound of your wetness catching on his boxers erotic as it echos in the empty room. Your chest is rising and falling in sort breaths, that peak closer than ever as Jayce teases you, his hands in fists beside your head, caging you in and when you open your eyes to meet his wild ones- you feel nothing but security.
"I love you, I love you so fucking much Jayce," you cry out, nails dragging against the skin of his back as he shakes, you can visibly see how much he is restraining himself in this moment. How pained he looks in his pleasure yet so focused on you, watching as his hips roll into your own, but the friction is not enough, "just loose control, love."
Jayce snaps his head back up, "what?" he says albeit a bit breathlessly. "Let go, I-I just want to feel you, Jayce, want you, need you." Jayce curses underneath his breath, his movements pausing, "are you sure?" you nod your head, "words baby," he kisses your neck. "Yes, please," you croak out and next thing you know, you are being flipped over.
Jayce positions himself, tip just teasing your leaking hole as your legs shake in wait- in want and with one sudden thrust, all the air is knocked from your lungs in a silent scream- your wrists trapped between his larger hand forcing them above your head as you lose yourself to the pleasure.
You listen to Jayce growl, "I've missed you so fucking much." You listen to the sound of skin slapping, filling the room alongside your combined moans- tears stream down your cheeks. "I'm close, Jayce!" you warn, still sensitive from earlier. "Hold on, breathe, sweetheart-"
"I can't Jayce," you sob out, feeling the fire start to form in your gut, spreading out to every vein in your body, a hand comes down on you ass. "You can and you will, baby," Jayce commands, his hips positioning down, reaching deeper than before as you freeze at the sensation starting to rise from your toes, focusing on your breathing.
You mumble blankly, feeling as Jayce kisses your shoulder blade, head becoming lighter than ever. "Good girl," he praises you with one sudden and sharp thrust. You are barley hanging on to reality to your impeding orgasm, trying to wiggle and shift your body away yet Jayce's hips just follow you. "Please, please, please," you beg like a broken record, you swore that if you were looking at yourself in this moment- you would be unrecognizable- withering underneath your boyfriend.
"Come for me. come. for. me," Jayce repeats, feeling as you clench down on his cock, choking it- watching as you bit down on your lip that forces him to release his hands from your wrists to pull it back down. "I want to hear how good I make you feel."
You moan out loudly as he continues to fuck you through your orgasm, you claw at the desk, sobbing as your body shakes from the overstimulation tears welling in your eyes as Jayce praises you, "You're taking me so good baby. Your pussy feels so good around my cock, just listen to her. Gonna make you cum again, aren't I-hm?"
Jayce feels as your pussy flutters before gushing around him again with a smirk, he places his body weight atop you as you struggle to comprehend the pleasure you feeling through the endless waves crashing through your body- your blank mind as he fucks you dumb. "Nothing to say, my love? That good?" You nod yes with a sob as Jayce coo's at you, continuing his brutal pace.
"T-too much, Jayce!" you yelp, sensitivity now overwhelming- on the cusp of hurting as you bite down hard on your lip, eyes closing as Jayce hums, "you know what to do love, tell me and I'll stop." Yet you don't move, don't speak, you don't want to stop feeling him, not yet at least, teetering on the line between pain and pleasure.
Jayce picks himself back up, taking your wrists as he positions you to bend off the table. He takes in the side of your tear covered face, his marks across your neck and shoulders, how his hands created indents on your hips as he feels the markings your nails left against his back that push him just over the edge just in time with your final orgasm.
Jayce quickly pulls out, you hear him moan loudly- you feel his seed against your back, warm and dripping down your butt as he slowly helps you rest back on the table. You both are panting- coming down from your highs. Your head lolls to the side, a soft smile coating your features as you feel Jayce brushing the hair out of your face and "you did so good for me baby, so proud."
"Yours, all yours," you say back as you close your eyes, a sudden rush of tiredness rushing over you as you feel Jayce press a kiss to your temple before cleaning you up, allowing you a moment to rest.
─────── · · ⭐️
─ · · Jayce helped to redress you, your legs weak as he picked you up into your arms, your head resting against his chest as you lulled yourself to sleep by the sound of his heartbeat. The only thing left behind in your cell were the pieces of a shattered blue gemstone, pulsing before fading.
─ · · By the time you were awake, you found yourself under Jayce's covers and heard the kettle click off, a record softly playing in the background as Jayce hummed along to it. You joined in, walking over humming, and grasping onto his pants, fingers looping through the empty belt buckles.
"Good morning, sweetheart," Jayce greets you, you smile, pressing your head against his back with a giggle before letting go without a word, watching as Jayce frowns, your heart swelling as you place yourself on the countertop and open your arms, wiggling your fingers as you both laugh. You pull Jayce in by the collar of his shirt- kissing him gently on the lips before moving across his jaw, stopping to cup his cheek as he nuzzles into your palm.
"I love you, Jayce."
"I love you too, always and forever."
"Kiss me?" you ask, eyes pleading, and how could he refuse?
Jayce presses his forehead against yours before capturing your lips. Pulling away, you both are breathless, you look to the side to see only your favourite breakfast items on the menu with a smile- gosh I missed your cooking.
When you look back at Jayce, your eyes go wide seeing him kneeling before you, a box in his hands, blood rushing up to your ears as you jump down from the countertop. "J-jayce? what are you doing?" you stutter through shock, your heat racing at a mile a minute.
"Not going to marry you just yet, through you will be Mrs. Talis in the future," Jayce speaks with such conviction, your heart is beating at a mile a minute. "With this ring I want to promise you that no matter what, I will always put your thoughts and needs first and I will always love you." A goofy love-sick grin is on his face but his eyes are scared yet equally hopeful. You crouch down with him, wrapping your arm around his shoulder as you cry.
Jayce's heart drops, he can't seem to touch you in this moment, can't look to you for comfort. Not feeling him returning the touch, you pull away, seeing his glossy eyes, "Whats wrong?" you ask timidly, listening to the ring drop.
Jayce opens and closes his mouth before falling back, hissing and gripping at his wrist. "Jayce? You're scaring me," you reach out again yet he slides away swearing- looking to be in immense pain, his eyes clouding over and then silence... his body falls before you as you grasp and squeeze his hand, calling back for him.
And then suddenly, he flashes back to life, gripping his head, beads of sweat dripping off his forehead, "fuck, wait, did you say yes?" He completely disregards his pain, forcing on a smile for you as you sit there in shock and horror.
"Of course, Jayce but what the fuck? Are you okay?" you ask again, giving him space this time. Jayce's stares at you, stares through you for a moment before sighing and shaking his head. "I will be after this all is over but I'm better knowing I'll have you forever." You smile at his words, brain still racing with what just happened but Jayce appeared back to his regular self now, helping you to stand and finishing up breakfast.
"Sit, please. Let me take care of you like you've done for me," Jayce asks, turning from the stove with soft eyes, and how could you refuse?

"id let the world burn for you"
"I'd kill for you"
"id die for you"
"I'd sacrifice the world for you"
BORING!
Yawn snore snore. Honk shoo honk shoo.
I got twelve other guys ready to that for me. You already do that. You already destroy the world I would just happen to be there while you did.
The real question is.
Would you save the world for me?
Would you put aside your hatred for humanity and put my love for it Infront? Would you save the world because I love the world? Would you stop killing because I hate killing? Would you find a way to live because I want you alive?
Death and destruction are easy as hell. Do you know how fucking easy it is to kill someone? To blow up a building? Shure security is in the way but if it wasn't there it would be easy as hell.
You'd do the basics shure. But would you do the hard thing and save the world because I asked you to?
Would you push aside your hatred of everyone but me because I asked you to nicely?
Would you?

What if yuu died?
(I'm feeling angsty >:]) ((I kept crying while writing this))
DWARF'S MINE:
Grim
Grim is the first one to notice.
They were bickering, as usual. Yuu told him not to wander off. He called them bossy and sauntered ahead. He thought Yuu was right behind him until he heard the rumble.
When Grim turns around, the mine is collapsing. He hears a scream—their scream—and then nothing.
At first, Grim is in denial. “They’re probably fine! Just hiding like a scaredy-cat!” he yells, ears flat, tail bristled. He digs at the rocks, paws trembling, not because he’s weak but because he’s scared. His tiny claws scrape until they bleed.
Later, when the truth settles in, Grim doesn’t talk for days. No bragging. No yelling. He just curls up on the couch in Ramshackle, staring at the door like he’s waiting for Yuu to walk through it.
He starts blaming himself. Quietly. “I shoulda protected them… I’m the Great Grim, right? What good is all this power if I couldn’t save 'em…”
Ace Trappola
Ace puts up a wall.
He makes some stupid comment at first. “They seriously died that easily? Weak…”
But his voice cracks halfway through. He avoids eye contact with Deuce and walks away before anyone can see him clench his fists.
Later, Ace returns to the mine alone. He just stands at the spot where the rocks fell, chewing on the inside of his cheek. “Dumbass… you weren’t even supposed to be here. What were you thinking, coming down here without magic?”
If anyone tries to talk to him about it, he brushes them off. But sometimes, when no one's looking, he stares at Ramshackle’s gate like he wants to go up and say something—but always turns around.
Deuce Spade
Deuce takes it hard.
He was right there. He thought he was being responsible. He was supposed to look out for the magicless student, right?
“I failed them…” “I should’ve noticed something was wrong…” “If I’d just reacted faster…”
He says things like that a lot. Grim won’t talk. Ace won’t listen. So Deuce just keeps repeating it to himself.
He visits Ramshackle and helps clean it up. Makes sure the firewood is stacked, the beds are neat—even though no one lives there anymore. “I just… want to keep it ready. In case they come back. Somehow.”
Crowley
Crowley is... complicated.
Publicly, he spins it as a “tragic accident”—“A rare, unfortunate incident during a school-sanctioned task! We shall honor our lost guest!” He uses big words and flashy speeches, and pretends like this wasn’t his fault.
But when he’s alone in his office, he looks at the file with Yuu’s name and wonders if he ever even really tried to help them.
He sent a magicless teen to mine with unstable students and monsters.
He knew they were different. Vulnerable. And yet, he brushed it off.
There’s a note he writes but never sends, addressed to the mirror that summoned Yuu:
“This realm took what it never should have touched. And now it has blood on its hands.”
He keeps the key to Ramshackle on his desk. Every time he sees it, he flinches.
RIDDLE'S OVERBLOT
Grim
He saw it happen.
He was right there—he saw the blast coming, and he tried to drag Yuu back, but they slipped from his grip.
“Yuu?” he calls out, paw nudging at their arm. “Hey. Hey, c’mon, this ain’t funny. Get up.”
He tries to laugh it off at first. Grim doesn’t do death. He doesn’t understand it. Not really.
But when the healers come and shake their heads, when no one responds, something inside Grim shatters.
His magic starts reacting wildly. He growls and sparks with unstable fire, yelling at Riddle’s unconscious body like it’s his fault. “You ruined everything! They’re gone and it’s because of YOU!”
Afterward, he won’t eat. Won’t talk. He curls up in Yuu’s bed with their uniform jacket tucked under his chin, tail limp.
“They promised we’d figure stuff out together... Now I gotta do it alone?”
Ace Trappola
Ace flips out.
Not right away. First, it’s disbelief. “No, no, they’re gonna get up. Right? Deuce? Tell me they’re fine.”
Then, it’s anger. At Riddle. At Cater and Trey for not stopping it. At himself.
He slams his fist into a wall so hard his knuckles bleed. “I should’ve pulled them out. I saw the signs. I knew something was gonna happen.”
He gets snappy. Bitter. Starts arguments with anyone who tries to sugarcoat it. “They didn’t ‘pass peacefully.’ They got caught up in some overblot crap that wasn’t even their fault!”
He avoids Ramshackle. Too many memories. Too much guilt.
But he keeps Yuu’s student ID in his jacket pocket.
Deuce Spade
Deuce cries.
He tries to hold it in, tries to be strong—because that’s what he thinks Yuu would’ve wanted—but the tears come anyway. He sobs into his hands when no one’s looking, shaking with the weight of regret.
“I promised to protect them…” he whispers.
He keeps up their dorm. Keeps bringing food to Grim, even if the little guy won’t touch it. He visits Crowley’s office demanding answers, demanding justice, yelling that this shouldn’t have happened.
Deuce becomes the one who remembers the little things—how Yuu liked their tea, the dumb jokes they told, the way they always said "I've got your back" even without magic.
And he makes sure everyone else remembers too.
Riddle Rosehearts
When he wakes up from the overblot and hears the news, he goes silent.
He doesn't cry. Doesn’t scream. He just… shuts down.
He asks to see the body. Crowley says no.
So Riddle walks to the rose maze himself, stands in the spot where Yuu fell, and just stares at the blood-stained petals.
“I didn’t mean to…”
He says it to no one. Over and over. A mantra. A curse.
He writes an apology note but tears it up. Who would it even go to?
Trey and Cater notice the shift—Riddle becomes harsher on himself. More rigid. Less confident. Because deep down, he knows:
Someone died because he lost control.
Cater Diamond
Cater’s smile doesn’t slip right away.
He’s used to filtering his emotions. Used to staying “on brand,” even when he’s horrified. So when he sees Yuu’s lifeless form after the magic storm clears, he just… freezes.
“H-Haha… no way, right? This has to be a prank. Right, Riddle?”
No one answers. Grim is howling. Ace is screaming. Deuce is crying.
Cater’s hands start to shake.
Later, he’ll post nothing. Not even a filtered picture. He'll ghost Magicam for a while.
He tries to visit Ramshackle once, to drop off a bouquet of marigolds and forget-me-nots—but the door creaks open and he sees Grim curled up on the couch, and he just can’t do it.
“I didn’t even know them,” he murmurs to himself, “and it still hurts this bad… What about the ones who did?”
Trey Clover
Trey stays composed. He always does.
He takes over when everyone else is falling apart—helping stabilize the overblot aftermath, escorting Riddle away from the scene, offering Deuce a tissue, shielding Cater from seeing too much.
But when he's alone in the kitchen later, making a tart for no one, he lets himself break a little.
His knife pauses mid-slice. A cherry slips and stains the counter red.
“I should’ve noticed Riddle was this close to snapping,” he mutters. “If I’d stopped him sooner…”
Trey doesn't cry. But guilt clings to him like powdered sugar on a fresh cake. Yuu wasn’t his responsibility, but they were in his dorm's garden. Under his vice-leadership. And that’s not something he forgets easily.
He leaves a note at Ramshackle with a box of treats:
“For Grim. I know they liked sweet things. —Trey”
Dire Crowley
Crowley is the one who has to “make it official.”
He stands before the gathered first years, his usual flourish gone. There’s no fanfare, no dramatic cloak-swoosh. Just a stiff, solemn tone.
“It is with deepest regret that I must confirm… the Prefect of Ramshackle Dorm has passed, following the incident involving an overblot.”
He doesn’t look anyone in the eye.
When the students leave, he stays behind in the hall, staring at the cracked mirror that once brought Yuu here.
“They were never supposed to be involved in magic,” he mutters. “I was supposed to protect them…”
He writes a formal report. Then another one. Then a third. None of them feel right.
Later, Crowley visits Ramshackle and sets down a key with a tiny raven charm beside their bed.
“I promised you safety. I failed. May this place remember you better than I did.”
LEONA'S OVERBLOT
It’s live. NRC's Spelldrive match is being broadcast across Twisted Wonderland.
Leona’s magic erupts like a sandstorm hurricane—spikes of sand and flame. Yuu is running, dragging an injured Grim, trying to reach Jack.
Then comes the roar.
Then silence.
The sand settles. A figure lies limp in the wreckage.
There’s a gasp on the feed. The camera zooms in— —and the world watches as the magicless Prefect, the one who stood beside overblots and chaos, lies still on the battlefield.
Grim
Grim doesn’t even process what happens at first.
He sees the sandstorm. The explosion of magic. He hears Yuu scream—and then nothing. Just silence.
He claws at their body. “Get up! Hey! I said get UP!”
He tries to use his magic. Tries to warm them up with a fireball. Nothing works.
He sobs until his voice is hoarse. He doesn’t leave their side—not when the teachers show up, not when the sun sets, not even when Crowley tries to move him.
“You said we were gonna leave this place together, remember? You promised…”
After that, he never says their name again. But he whispers it in his sleep, tail curled around their favorite pillow.
Ace Trappola
Ace punches Leona.
No questions, no hesitation—he hauls off and decks him right across the jaw, shouting “You bastard! You KILLED them!”
It doesn’t matter that Leona’s still recovering from the overblot. It doesn’t matter that he gets dragged off. He’s shaking with rage.
Ace’s grief comes out as fire. Loud. Angry. Messy.
Later, he sneaks into Ramshackle alone. He rifles through Yuu’s drawers, looking for something—a hoodie, a note, an old snack wrapper. Anything that still smells like them.
He finds a photo they all took before the Spelldrive match.
He keeps it in his wallet.
Deuce Spade
Deuce kneels beside Yuu’s body and doesn’t move for a long time.
He holds their hand. It’s still warm. He begs the healers to try again. Begs the staff to do something.
“They can’t be gone… Not them. Not Yuu…”
He starts blaming himself. “If I’d been faster. If I’d trained harder. If I’d just been stronger—”
He throws himself into becoming stronger after that. Pushing past his limits. Studying harder. Training until he drops.
But he never stops wearing the little Ramshackle pin Yuu made for him, safety-pinned to the inside of his collar.
Cater Diamond
Cater completely drops the act.
No more filters. No cute captions. No jokes.
He vanishes from Magicam for a full month. When he comes back, it’s quiet. Just a black square and one line:
“Miss u, bestie.”
He tries to keep smiling around others, especially Grim, but it’s clearly forced. His voice cracks sometimes.
“I never even said goodbye… How could I not say goodbye?!”
Cater leaves a bracelet at the edge of the Savanaclaw field where they fell—green and silver beads, their initials on it.
He comes back every week to make sure it's still there.
Trey Clover
Trey becomes the one who takes care of everyone else.
He comforts Grim. Checks on Deuce. Calms Ace. Brings food even when no one eats.
He tries to be steady, reliable—but even he has his moments.
Sometimes, late at night in the kitchen, when he’s baking and the scent of vanilla fills the room, he sees Yuu laughing by the counter and has to sit down before he breaks.
He brings a box of strawberry tarts to Ramshackle and places it on their bed, whispering, “You always liked these… right?”
Riddle Rosehearts
Riddle is devastated.
He stares at their body with wide, horrified eyes. His throat closes. He stammers something—rules, overblot laws, consequences—but the words fall flat.
He visits their grave alone. He brings roses, red and white.
“I should have stopped Leona. I knew something was wrong. I should have said something. Done something…”
He reads old messages Yuu sent him. Keeps rereading them, like they'll change.
When Heartslabyul hosts a tea party in their memory, Riddle personally makes sure it’s perfect.
“They deserve nothing less.”
Jack Howl
Jack grits his teeth.
He says nothing at first. Just watches in silence as the healers pronounce Yuu gone.
But later, he trains. Harder than ever. His knuckles split. His legs ache.
“If I’d been there a second earlier… I could’ve shielded them.”
He doesn’t cry, but he starts carrying himself a little more respectfully. For Yuu.
At Ramshackle, he leaves a desert lily by their bed—a flower that survives in harshness. “You were tough. I’ll honor that.”
Dire Crowley
Crowley looks… older afterward.
He gives a dramatic speech at the memorial. Everyone assumes he’s playing it up again—until he chokes up mid-sentence.
“This school was supposed to keep them safe…”
He writes a letter to the Headmage’s council, arguing that overblots are no longer “rare accidents,” but institutional failures.
He also writes one to Yuu.
It sits in his drawer, never sent.
“You deserved better. From this world. From me. I only hope the next life is kinder.”
Leona Kingscholar
Leona doesn’t say a word when he’s told Yuu didn’t survive.
He just stares. At the scorch mark in the dirt. At the faces of the others—Grim sobbing, Deuce shaking, Ace screaming at him. He says nothing.
He turns away.
No apology. No excuse. He doesn't even try to defend himself.
Later, alone in his dorm, he leans against the wall with a clenched jaw, grinding his molars. His overblot haze is gone, but the image of Yuu—burned into his memory—won’t leave.
“Tch... They were a nobody. Just some magicless brat...”
But he’s not saying it to anyone else. He’s trying to convince himself. Because deep down, he knows that’s not true. Yuu stood their ground. Faced him when even Savanaclaw students ran. And they died because of him.
The next day, Leona doesn’t come out of his room.
The week after that, he’s quieter. Less sharp-tongued. Still dangerous, still smug—but there’s a heaviness in his voice now.
He doesn’t go to the memorial. But he sends a small wrapped parcel to Ramshackle with Ruggie.
Inside: a faded Savanaclaw armband and a simple note.
They had guts. —L
Ruggie Bucchi
Ruggie wasn’t close to Yuu, but they helped him once.
Shared a snack. Laughed at his dumb jokes. Treated him like a person, not Leona’s errand boy.
So when he sees their body, something shifts.
“…They’re really gone?”
He doesn’t cry. He’s too used to loss for that. But his stomach churns as he watches Grim howl and Ace get dragged away from Leona.
Ruggie knew this was gonna happen eventually. He just didn’t think it’d be Yuu.
He feels the tension in the dorm, hears the whispers from other students, and suddenly everything feels too loud.
That night, he lights a candle in the Savanaclaw lounge. It’s small, cheap, something from the Night Market.
He stares at the flame and murmurs, “Rest easy, alright? Sorry we never got to hang out more…”
Then he turns and gets back to work, because someone has to clean up the mess.
But he steals food from the cafeteria a little more often now.
For Grim.
AZUL'S OVERBLOT
Grim
He can’t even scream this time.
He runs to their body, but the water’s still seeping away. He tries to drag them out. Shouts for help.
He sobs into their clothes, claws clenched around fabric, whispering over and over, “No no no—come on, come on—don’t do this, please—”
He tries breathing fire, again and again, like maybe the warmth will bring them back.
Azul’s contracts burn around them. Grim doesn’t care. He curls around their chest and doesn’t move for hours.
Ace Trappola
Ace laughs.
It’s a broken sound, too sharp to be real.
“No way. No way they’re— They can’t be— This is stupid. They survived Leona. They survived Riddle. They’re Yuu.”
He looks at Azul like he wants to kill him, but then just… stops. He walks over to Yuu’s body and sits down beside them, knees to his chest, silent.
Hours later, he mutters to no one, “I didn’t even get to say sorry… I called them annoying this morning…”
Deuce Spade
Deuce falls to his knees.
He shakes Azul by the collar, shouting “WHAT DID YOU DO?!” before Jack pulls him back.
Then he kneels by Yuu and clutches their hand like it’s an anchor. He doesn’t move for a long time, even when everyone else starts to leave.
He wears their Ramshackle pin on his blazer after that. Cleans it every morning.
When he does tests, exams, in a track race, he whispers under his breath, “Watch me. I’ll make you proud.”
Jack Howl
Jack stands frozen in place.
His tail bristles. His claws dig into his palms. But he doesn’t lash out. He doesn’t cry.
He walks over and picks up the tattered scarf Yuu always wore, brushes the ink off it gently.
“They were a good one,” he says quietly.
He trains harder after that. Says less. But anyone who enters the Savannaclaw training field will find a small stone marker in the far corner.
“To the one who stood tall without claws.”
Ruggie Bucchi
Ruggie curses.
“Damn it. Damn it all.”
He kicks one of the broken tables. Then another. And then he stops—because he sees Grim, curled and shaking, and his chest aches.
He drops to a squat beside him, puts a hand on Grim’s back.
“They were… They were somethin’ else, huh?”
He steals food from the Lounge that night. Loads of it. Drops it off at Ramshackle with no note.
He doesn’t say it out loud, but he swears to himself: No one else from their circle dies on his watch.
Leona Kingscholar
Leona’s the first to arrive after the overblot ends.
He sees the ink, the body, the shattered remains of the contracts—and doesn’t speak. Not at first.
“…You actually went and got them killed, huh?” he mutters to Azul.
Leona walks over to Yuu and crouches low. His tail flicks.
“Should’ve told you not to play hero again. Should’ve made you stay out of this.”
He leaves a desert lily by their side and walks away before anyone sees his hands shaking.
Azul Ashengrotto
Azul is catatonic.
He collapses when the overblot fades. The moment he sees what he’s done—who he’s killed—his voice dies in his throat.
“No… No, no, no… I didn’t mean…”
He vomits ink.
He sobs behind his hands.
He screams at the sea for days afterward.
He locks himself in his office and doesn't come out. Not for weeks. He can’t even look at his own reflection.
Eventually, he stops using contracts.
He burns every single one.
Jade Leech
Jade is… quiet.
Too quiet.
He kneels beside the body and closes their eyes. Straightens their sleeves. Brushes the ink from their lashes.
Then he looks at Azul—torn, sobbing—and doesn’t speak.
He doesn’t smile after that. Not in the Lounge. Not in class.
When asked, he only says: “They were… sincere. And brave. It's a shame. A true shame.”
He visits Ramshackle every now and then, leaving wild mushrooms at the doorstep.
Floyd Leech
Floyd doesn’t take it well.
First, he laughs.
“Eh? Seriously? Shrimpy’s dead? Just like that?”
Then his smile vanishes. Completely.
“...No fun.”
He walks into the Lounge’s VIP room and trashes it. Rips through furniture. Breaks the glass. Shatters the chandelier.
No one stops him.
After that, he won’t talk about it. If someone mentions Yuu, he gets quiet.
He goes out swimming in the ocean for hours. Sometimes all night.
When he comes back, he’s always more tired.
Dire Crowley
Crowley stands at the edge of the scene, looking like a ghost.
This is the third time now. Third overblot. Third time Yuu has nearly died. Except this time…
He pulls his hat down, voice tight. “I failed them. Again.”
He doesn’t perform this time. No grand speeches. Just silence and shame.
He drafts a dozen letters to Yuu’s family—then throws them all out. What could he say? "Your child died in another world under my care?"
He declares a school-wide mourning period and cancels all contracts indefinitely.
But it’s not enough. Nothing is.
JAMIL'S OVERBLOT
They were too close. Always too close.
In trying to protect Kalim, in trying to talk Jamil down, they stepped into range—and one of the snake-like braids struck. Fast. Precise. Poisonous.
No one noticed the bite at first. Not even Yuu.
But as the overblot fades, and the sand settles, they collapse—pale, lips turning blue, their breathing labored until…
It stops.
And the music dies with them.
Grim
He’s the first to notice something’s wrong.
He shakes Yuu’s arm, pats their cheek. “Oi, this isn’t funny—come on, we’ve gotta scold Jamil, right?”
But their chest doesn’t rise.
Grim screams. His voice cracks.
“YUU?!”
He doesn’t leave their side for the rest of the night, paws clutching their arm, growling at anyone who tries to move them.
When Ace and Deuce return, he nearly attacks them just to stop them from seeing.
Jamil Viper
He sees the bite. He knows exactly what it means.
He knows.
He drops to his knees.
“...No… no no no…”
His voice shakes. His hands tremble. His overblot form may have faded, but its consequences linger like venom in his blood.
He killed them.
No tricks. No schemes. No brainwashing. Just murder.
He doesn’t run. He doesn’t speak. He just sits in the sand, staring at his hands, unable to move.
He’s silent for hours.
When they drag him away, he doesn’t resist.
Kalim Al-Asim
He doesn’t understand at first.
“Yuu? What are they doing? They’re just sleeping, right? Right, Jamil?!"
But Jamil won’t meet his eyes.
And when Grim doesn’t answer—when Grim starts sobbing—Kalim’s smile falls. Shatters.
“No… no, no, this isn’t…”
He grabs Yuu’s hand and holds it like he can warm it back to life.
“Please—wake up—we haven’t even gone swimming yet! You promised!”
He cries hard. For hours. He tries to take the blame, keeps saying:
“It should’ve been me. I was the one he hated…”
Azul Ashengrotto
When Azul sees the body, he goes eerily quiet.
He slams the lounge door shut, tells Jade and Floyd to cancel operations for a week. When they ask why, he just mutters:
“Yuu’s dead. Jamil’s overblot.”
That night, Azul goes down to the sea and throws in a silver pen—a token Yuu once gave him when he helped them with a contract.
He doesn’t talk about it afterward.
But he never lets a client leave with a dangerous deal again.
Jade Leech
Jade lowers his when he sees the body.
“…How unfortunate.”
He’s quiet for a long while. He plants a rare desert flower in a terrarium—a tribute. Waters it every morning.
When questioned, he only says, “They were brave. It is a shame bravery rarely guarantees survival.”
But his smiles are smaller now. More thoughtful. Especially around Jamil.
Floyd Leech
He gets quiet.
Too quiet.
He doesn’t laugh. Doesn’t grin. Just tosses a beach ball into the ocean and watches it float away.
When asked, he mutters, “Shrimpy was s’posed to come back. I was gonna show ‘em how to really swim…”
And then, with no warning, he grabs Jamil by the collar and slams him into a wall.
“You bit them, didn’t you?”
He doesn’t hit him. Just glares, then shoves him down and walks away.
He doesn’t show up to class for three days after that.
Crowley
He returns in high spirits, sunburned and humming—until he sees the school’s flag at half-mast.
“What happened—?”
Grim hits him with a fireball before he can finish his sentence.
When Crowley sees Yuu’s name etched into the memorial stone, he drops to his knees.
He doesn’t even try to justify himself.
He just whispers, “I left. Again. And they paid for it…”
And for once, Crowley vanishes from public view.
Not even the staff can find him for days.
Ace Trappola
He bursts through the gate, duffel in hand, bragging to Deuce—until Grim tackles him, claws shaking.
“They’re gone,” Grim wheezes, “They’re gone, Ace!”
Ace laughs. “Huh? Quit messin’ with me—what do you—”
Then he sees Deuce’s face pale. And the memorial stone. And the empty Ramshackle doorway.
“…No. No, no—this is a joke, right?!”
He punches the wall until his knuckles bleed.
Deuce Spade
He drops his bag the moment Grim tells them.
“No way… No—they were fine. They were fine when we left—”
He clutches his stomach and falls to his knees. “Why weren’t we here? Why didn’t we come back sooner?!”
He visits the grave every morning for a week. Leaves flowers. Doesn’t say much in class.
His grades improve. His magic sharpens.
He swears it won’t happen again.
Riddle Rosehearts
He stares at the nameplate on the stone.
“…They died protecting someone else?”
He places a red rose beneath the inscription.
“They never followed the rules… and still had the nerve to leave before I could thank them.”
His voice is brittle.
After that, he disciplines his dorm a little less harshly.
He gives Grim his leftover tarts in silence.
Trey Clover
He sighs deeply, brows furrowed.
“…I should’ve known something like this would happen.”
He helps Cater plan a quiet tribute in Heartslabyul. A tea party with Yuu’s favorite sweets. No rules. No scolding.
Just stories.
Trey keeps their seat open.
Cater Diamond
He cries in the hallway.
No selfies. No filters. No pretending.
Just raw, ugly crying.
“Why didn’t I get more pictures with them…?”
He organizes a social feed in their memory. Posts their art. Their dumb selfies. Their best moments.
It goes viral within NRC. Students from all dorms comment:
“They helped me.” “They stood up for me.” “I miss them…”
Leona Kingscholar
“…Damn snake.”
He growls low, tail twitching.
He doesn’t yell. Doesn’t threaten. Just walks out of the dorm and stares at the cliffs until sunset.
He was starting to respect them.
Now he never gets the chance.
Ruggie Bucchi
He’s pissed.
At Crowley. At Jamil. At himself.
He sneaks into the infirmary late at night and punches the wall once—just once.
Then he wipes his eyes and leaves, like nothing happened.
But he leaves offerings at the stone every week. Small things.
Bread. Buttons. A lucky toothpick.
Jack Howl
He stands before the memorial with flowers in hand and says nothing.
Not a word.
But he starts training harder.
When he duels, he whispers: “Hope you’re watching.”
VIL'S OVERBLOT
The air is thick with smoke and glamour. Vil's overblot form collapses, and the world finally breathes.
Everyone thinks it's over.
Until Yuu sways.
Until their lips tremble with blue.
Until they fall with no warning.
Grim reaches them first, and then all hell breaks loose.
Grim
He’s laughing at first. “We did it, right?! Right, Hench—?”
He sees the foam on their lips.
“No.”
He shakes them. “No—NO! Don’t you dare pull this crap—wake up! You said we were gonna get celebratory tuna!”
He shrieks when they stop breathing. He claws at his own face, trembling so hard he can barely speak.
When someone touches him, he bites them.
“DON’T—touch them—don’t take them away!!”
Ace Trappola
He rushes to Yuu’s side, shouting their name. Shaking them like that’ll undo it.
He looks to Deuce. Then to Grim. Then to Vil.
“WHO DID THIS?!”
He’s crying—actually crying—and it’s not cute. It’s ugly. Angry. Messy.
“I should’ve noticed—I should’ve—why didn’t I—?!”
He tries to do CPR. Tries to cast a healing spell. Anything.
None of it works.
Deuce Spade
He goes quiet. Stone-faced.
He tries to carry Yuu’s body like they’re still breathing, like maybe warmth and motion will bring them back.
His voice is hoarse: “I’ll take them to the infirmary. I can fix this. I can fix this.”
He doesn't stop walking until someone physically pulls him back.
When he finally lets go, he drops to his knees and sobs into his hands.
Jamil Viper
When he sees the foaming poison, the slow purple hue crawling over Yuu’s veins…
He knows.
“…Vil used poison,” he mutters, numb. “And they were too close.”
He staggers back, staring at his hands like he’s watching it happen all over again.
“Not again,” he whispers. “Not again.”
He turns and walks away. Doesn’t look back.
This time, he cries alone.
Kalim Al-Asim
“Yuu…?”
He kneels beside them. Touches their cheek.
“Yuu? Come on, wake up—it’s over, we won! You said you’d teach me how to bake that cake, remember?”
He keeps babbling. Keeps smiling. Even as tears start to fall.
Even when they don’t wake up.
“…They were always smiling,” he whispers. “Even when things were scary…”
Epel Felmier
He starts shaking.
He was right beside them. Right beside them.
And he didn’t notice.
“They were fine—they were still standing—they were smiling—”
He screams into his hands. Then punches the ground until his knuckles bleed.
Vil tries to stop him.
Epel shouts, “DON’T!”
And turns away, teeth bared in grief.
Rook Hunt
The first thing he says is quiet. Reverent.
“…They died beautifully.”
Everyone stares.
Then he kneels down and closes Yuu’s eyes gently.
“They were a soul full of light. To burn out in such a theatrical, bittersweet way… it’s almost poetic.”
His voice breaks.
He looks at Vil.
“Mon Roi. What have you done?”
Vil Schoenheit
He knew.
He knew what was in the poison. How fast it worked. How potent it was.
And still—still—he let it happen.
When Yuu collapses, his voice fails. He runs to them, brushes their hair back.
He presses his forehead to theirs.
“…You idiot,” he chokes. “Why didn’t you move? You should have stayed behind the curtain!”
He doesn’t say much after that.
But he cancels his return to the stage.
Forever.
Crowley
He returns to a somber, shattered NRC.
When he hears what happened, he doesn’t speak.
Doesn’t excuse himself.
He walks into Ramshackle dorm, sits in the dark, and whispers:
“I keep failing you.”
He shuts the dorm down for a week.
He leaves a golden brooch on Yuu’s old pillow.
Trey, Cater, Riddle, Leona, Ruggie, Jack
Trey makes a cake and leaves it at Ramshackle. Says nothing.
Cater posts one last selfie with Yuu and doesn’t log into Magicam again for a month.
Riddle reprimands Vil for days—then visits the grave in silence.
Leona grits his teeth, then throws a spell book across his room. Doesn’t talk about it.
Ruggie mutters, “Figures someone like him would mess it up,” then wipes his eyes.
Jack makes a point to place wildflowers near their grave every few days.
Jade whispers, “They died protecting others. Admirable… but costly.”
Floyd just says, “Shrimpy’s really gone, huh…” and doesn’t smile for a week.
Azul throws himself into managing the lounge, late at night he stares at a framed picture of him and Yuu and cries.
Hornton
He’s fixing the stage with his magic. Alone. Quiet. Restoring the ruins left behind after Vil’s rampage.
Then he sees it—Yuu’s name on the memorial plaque. A candle burning low.
He stares.
His magic falters.
“…No.”
His voice shakes.
“...No.”
He vanishes from the stage.
Later, students find the ruins of a blasted tree behind Ramshackle.
And Malleus is there. Silent. Still. Staring at Yuu’s favorite bench—the one they sat on during night talks.
He places a glowing crystal beside it. It hums softly. Mourning.
“No one else sat with me in the dark,” he whispers. “No one else called me ‘Hornton.’”
IDIA'S OVERBLOT
Grim
He's inconsolable.
Screaming. Thrashing. Clinging to Yuu's unmoving form. There's soot on his fur and tear tracks down his face.
“They were just—they were just joking about food! We were gonna go home, we were—they PROMISED!!”
He tries to breathe fire in grief, but it sputters out into smoke. He curls into their chest and won’t let go.
Ace Trappola
“No.”
He walks up. Stares. Backs away.
“No. No—no, this isn’t—that’s not funny, Yuu. Get up.”
He turns to Deuce. His voice is cracking.
“They’re gonna sit up. They’re just messing with us, right?”
But no one laughs.
He kneels down and covers his face with both hands.
Deuce Spade
His entire body locks up.
“I should’ve—gone in with them. I should’ve…”
His fists clench so tightly they bleed.
He kneels beside Grim and takes one of Yuu’s hands in his. Quiet.
“Thank you… for everything.”
Jack Howl
He has no words. Only a silent, thunderous grief.
He lowers his head respectfully. Closes Yuu’s eyes with trembling fingers.
He doesn't cry. But his voice is hoarse for days.
Later, he trains until he collapses. Trying to make sure no one else dies again.
Ruggie Bucchi
“…Sh*t.”
That’s all he says at first. He turns away.
Wipes his eyes before anyone sees.
But he leaves a meat pie at their grave later. Wrapped in a checkered cloth. No note. No message.
Just something Yuu said they always wanted to try.
Leona Kingscholar
He scowls. Says they were reckless. That it was bound to happen.
But the minute no one’s watching, he storms off into the desert garden and roars so loud it shakes the windows.
When he comes back, he’s dragging an ancient herb said to revive the dead.
It doesn’t work.
Trey Clover
He finds Grim later in Ramshackle.
And quietly makes enough food for two, even though only Grim eats.
No one sees him cry.
But he starts baking a certain kind of cake more often—one that only Yuu ever asked for.
Cater Diamond
He doesn’t post anything on Magicam for three months.
He tries to smile. He jokes. But his heart’s not in it.
He visits Ramshackle every week and leaves flowers—sunflowers, yellow and bright.
“You always made things feel warm, y’know?” he whispers.
Riddle Rosehearts
He keeps it together at first.
But when he’s alone? He breaks.
He slams his fists into the desk. Screams into the void.
“They didn’t have magic! They shouldn’t have—shouldn’t have had to go alone!”
He writes a law in Yuu’s honor: “No student shall face a magical threat without backup.”
Azul Ashengrotto
Azul’s hands shake when he sees Yuu’s body.
“They gave me a second chance,” he whispers.
“And I couldn’t even…”
He shuts down the Lounge for a week.
He orders every contract reviewed. Removes every dangerous clause Yuu once called out.
He leaves an ornate seashell at their grave. Etched with: “For the one who believed in me.”
Jade Leech
“…A tragedy.”
His tone is calm. But his eyes are not.
He takes off his gloves and places them over Yuu’s hands, folding them gently.
“I suppose I must find a new mushroom for mourning,” he murmurs.
He visits often. Leaves nothing but silence and prayers.
Floyd Leech
At first? Nothing.
Just blank staring.
Then: “Shrimpy’s really gone, huh?”
He doesn’t cry.
But he drags Idia by the collar and nearly kills him.
“You owe them. FIX IT.”
It takes four people to pull him off.
He doesn't smile after that. Not for a long time.
Idia Shroud
At first, he thinks it’s a glitch.
Then he sees them—unmoving, burned at the edges, body limp in Grim’s arms.
He doesn’t scream.
He just stares. A long time. And says:
“…I killed them.”
He doesn't resist when Floyd attacks. He wants to be punished.
Later, he shuts himself inside the lab. Ignores Ortho. Refuses food.
All he says, over and over, is:
“I didn’t want this. I didn’t want this. I didn’t want this.”
Ortho Shroud
“No. No, no, no—please wake up! I can scan you—I can rebuild you, I can—”
His voice distorts.
“PLEASE DON’T LEAVE NII-SAN BEHIND!!”
When Yuu doesn’t stir, Ortho’s eyes dim.
He flies off.
And no one sees him for three days.
Crowley
He was there. Watching from the surface. Powerless to go down with them.
When Yuu doesn’t return, he collapses to his knees.
He says nothing.
But every night after, the gate to the Underworld glows dimly. Lit by a single enchanted candle.
Burning for the student who dared cross the River Styx.
MALLEUS'S OVERBLOT (may be inaccurate)
Grim
He holds your hand as you fade, clawing at the thorns like they'll move.
“Don’t go. You—you always saved everyone!! I was supposed to protect you—!!”
He’s wailing.
When it’s over, he curls into your chest and doesn’t speak for two days.
Ace Trappola
He’s the first to scream.
“WHAT’S THE POINT OF WAKING UP IF THEY’RE DEAD!?”
He runs at the thorns. Punches them until his fists bleed. Until Deuce pulls him back.
He curses Malleus. Then curses himself.
Then, eventually, just sits on the floor. Staring.
Deuce Spade
He kneels beside your body.
His voice cracks as he says:
“I became a better person because of you…”
Then, in a whisper:
“…I don’t know how to be good without you.”
Cater Diamond
“No… not them… anyone but them…”
He sobs. No filters. No jokes. No posing.
His Magicam goes dark again. He locks himself in his room and cries into their old photos.
Trey Clover
He can’t breathe when he sees you.
He covers his face. Kneels.
“I should’ve done more. Been there. Helped you—something.”
He leaves a tiny tart beside your grave, baked with your favorite flavor.
Riddle Rosehearts
His voice is a whisper. Unsteady.
“They were the only one who understood me... even after everything I did...”
He places a rose—red and thornless—on your chest.
And kneels, head bowed.
Leona Kingscholar
He stares down at you. Quiet.
“I told you not to play hero,” he murmurs.
He sounds tired. Angry. Hollow.
But he watches over your grave when no one else will.
Silent. Guarding. For hours at a time.
Ruggie Bucchi
"...Tch."
He turns his back. Walks away.
But hours later, someone finds a crumpled note by your bed.
"Thanks for feeding me."
Jack Howl
He stands still for a long time.
Then salutes you with quiet reverence.
“You had more heart than anyone I’ve ever met.”
He trains harder than ever after that. To live by your example.
Azul Ashengrotto
He drops to his knees.
“This wasn’t part of the deal…”
His voice breaks.
“I would've traded everything. Just—just to keep them safe…”
He cancels all contracts for a week. Shuts down the Lounge. Cries behind locked doors.
Jade Leech
He gently closes your eyes.
And, for once, doesn’t smile.
“Even rare orchids wither in the frost,” he says.
And places a white lily beside you.
Floyd Leech
“…Shrimpy…”
He pokes your cheek.
No response.
Then he howls. He tears up a hallway. Slams a wall with a fist that cracks stone.
He doesn’t laugh again for a month.
Kalim Al-Asim
“No no no—you were supposed to live!! You saved me!! Why didn’t I save you!?”
He sobs into Jamil’s shoulder.
He lights candles in your memory every night.
Jamil Viper
He closes his eyes.
He doesn't speak. Just mutters a single word:
“Unfair.”
But later, he visits your resting place, presses a charm into the soil.
“I owed you more than I gave.”
Vil Schoenheit
He holds you like glass. Like something sacred.
“Your final act was... selfless. Poetic. Tragic.”
He speaks at your memorial.
And always leaves a pristine white rose.
Epel Felmier
His shoulders shake.
He refuses to speak at the ceremony. But he carves a tiny wooden charm for you.
He carries it in his pocket. Always.
Rook Hunt
Tears fall freely.
“Ah, mon trésor… such beauty, such sacrifice…”
He writes a ballad in your honor. He performs it in the forest, alone.
Idia Shroud
He stares at you with wide eyes. Whispering to himself.
“No. No. Not again. Not another one. Not like Ortho—!”
He curls into himself.
And when he reboots Ortho later, he hugs him like he’ll disappear too.
Ortho Shroud
He powers down for a full day.
And when he reactivates, he asks:
“Why didn’t I detect the danger? Why couldn’t I save them?”
He makes a digital backup of your voice. It plays when he’s alone.
Lilia Vanrouge
He lowers his head and whispers in old fae tongue.
“They were brave.”
He sings an ancient lullaby only fae children know.
And your grave is tended by wild roses from then on.
Silver
He brushes your hair back.
“I thought we’d all wake up…”
He places a dream charm on your chest.
“So you’d never be afraid. Not even now.”
Sebek Zigvolt
He yells.
First at Malleus. Then at the world. Then at himself.
“They protected you, my lord! And now they’re GONE!”
His voice breaks.
He kneels beside your grave.
“They were… a knight.”
Malleus Draconia
When he sees you fall, his world ends.
The thorns fade. The dreams collapse.
You lay still in his arms.
His voice is a whisper. A plead.
“No. No no no. This isn't what I wanted…”
He doesn’t overblot again.
He just… disappears.
Some say he wandered into the thorns. Others say he turned into mist.
But on quiet nights, a low voice murmurs:
“I wanted eternity with you.”
Crowley
For once… he takes responsibility.
He wears all black.
He lays a feathered mask at your grave.
And whispers:
“You were the one good thing I never deserved.”

Touya’s been slumming it on the streets for a while now. Pick pocketing here and there, even mugging and robbery in desperate times.
He’s eyeing a couple walking down the alleyway, deciding they look like good enough targets.
You and your sort-of-ex-boyfriend have finally gotten together to grab lunch after some time separated. You consider maybe giving him another chance, after all, he really didn’t mean to steal $200 from your bank account to spend on Onlyfans.
You pause in the alleyway as another figure approaches you. Before he can even finish his sentence, “Hand over your wallet—” your boyfriend pushes you forward, you falling to the ground in front of the attacker.
Touya pauses watching the absolute pansy of a man high-tail it out of the alleyway, you sitting on the ground also watching him scramble back out to the street.
Did he piss himself?
You slowly turn your gaze to the pierced man. He looks down at you, pity on his face as he holds out his hand to you.
You take his hand, standing up. “I don’t have much.” you begin.
“Nah, forget it.” Touya replies.
“If you don’t mind me asking, what do you need the money for?” you ask.
He hesitates for a moment.
Why would you care?
“Food.” Touya says.
You pause, looking down at the bag that carried your now definitely ex-boyfriend’s leftovers. You hand it over to him.
“Here. It’s soba.” you say.
Touya takes the bag, looking it over. “Thanks…”
You nod and turn to exit the alleyway.
“What’s your name?” Touya asks.
You turn back, “Y/n… yours?”
Touya pauses for a moment, he’s been going by the name Dabi for a few months now, but for some reason when he opened his mouth— “Touya.”
You give a soft smile, “Enjoy your soba, Touya.”
Touya nods in response and watches you as you leave the alleyway.
Why did he tell you his real name? Why did it sound so sweet when you said it?
“Y/n…” he repeats, your name tasting just as sweet on his tongue.
“Y/n?!” A man calls out, Touya seeing the ex-boyfriend poking his head into the alleyway. Touya’s eyes narrow and he walks towards the man, his hand igniting in blue flame.
Names are so special.
The man screams in agony as the smell of burned flesh fills the air, blue flames eating him alive.
He doesn’t deserve to say your name anymore.

Yan light who met you in highschool, the last year
Yan light who becomes your study partner, helping u and ur dumb lil brain
Yan light who starts realizing how cute you were, but never had a crush on u (he did he just never wanted to admit it)
Yan light who now has a crush on you after him trying to convince himself that you're not his type,
Yan light who now helps you with more than studying, whenever you don't have a pencil, he'll give it to you eagerly, whenever you want something from Amazon but your too broke, he'll buy it for you, whenever your too lazy to work on assignments, you call him and he'll let you copy
Yan light who is now your friend rather than study buddie
Yan light who sits with you during lunch, not bothering to hang out with his other popular friends, telling you that he prefers you
Yan light who stares at you during class, thinking of all the things you could do to him before shaking his head, and covering his blushing face
Yan light who convinces his sister that you're his gf, and that's why you keep coming over to his house.
Yan light who now is by your side 24/7, walking you to classes, holding your backpack for you as you ramble about the girl u don't fw, walking you home, and more
Yan light whose house you go to for a study session, but you knew it was just gonna turn out to you rambling about drama as he watched you with heart eyes, hand on your thigh
Yan light who convinces you to stay over, saying "N/n, it's too dark out, just stay here yeah?"
Yan light who you ask "Light, where am I gonna sleep?"
Yan light who smiles, and says "In my bed, where else, sweetheart?" As if it was the most obvious thing in the world
Yan light who cuddles you throughout the night, arms around your waist as he whines when you try to pull away from him
Yan light who now tells you to go to the college he's going to, giving you puppy dog eyes as you refuse
"Sweetheart, come into the college I'm going to, you don't wanna be separated do you?"
"Honey, what do you mean your too dumb? Just copy off me, my love."
Yan light who makes you go to his college, smiling at you when you finally tell him "Fine, I'll go to your college."
Yan light who now barely lets you go to your own house, "Am I not good enough for you, love?" He asks with tears in his eyes like bro I just asked u if I could go home
Yan light who cooks and cleans for you, "Honey, do you want me to make you some pasta for tonight?" He saids all giggly, his sister just gags in disgust bc why is her rat brother acting like a middle school girl in love
Yan light who is literally 3 seconds away from smashing the TV in his room because your busy playing GTA rather than him, he's literally half naked, wanting you to touch him and your playing GTA tryna run from the cops?! How dare you, just watch, he'll get rid of that fucking ga-
"hey wife, can ya bring me my water?" You ask, you gave him a glance making him perk up, knowing that if u called him wife, he'll do anything for u
"Okay! ♡" What was he thinking about again?
Yan light who finally got the death note, and told you "If you fucking even look at someone else other than me, I'll kill them."
"wife, you barely even let me see my own family"
Yan light who Misa finally meets up with
"Light! I'm your classmate, and you dropped this book!" Misa said, showing the book as light makes her follow her to his room. You were inside the room, playing rock paper scissors with ryuk the homie
Oh yeah that lil bitch light showed you the death note and practically said he'll rip anyone's skull if they even bother to look in your direction, genuinely u weren't even shocked bc ur wife was just like that fr fr but anyway now ur homies with ryuk
They both walked into the room, and Misa was quick to glare at you. 'Light is my love, and I am his so why is this homewrecker all up in his bed like that!' was her train of thought, ready to launch at you before seeing Lights dark glare on here
"Don't even fucking think about it, now why are you here?"
They talked and Misa told him if he dated anyone but her, she'll kill them.
"thats...too bad, I'm already y/ns wife"
Yan light who is your wife that kills anyone who gets between you both <333

cw: heavy angst
Tumblr media
Prince!Gojo who spent his entire childhood sneaking down into the dungeon of his castle to hang out with you, a prisoner unfairly sentenced to life simply for being the child of someone who attempted to assassinate the king.
As the years passed, you and Gojo grew up, side by side, separated by the bars of your cell. He'd often sneak you food, beautiful white flowers, and read you a few chapters of a novel so you would have a bit of entertainment. He'd often tell you stories about the outside world as well with the promise of showing it to you one day.
Gojo also promised that — the very second he officially became king — he'd undo the unjust sentence his father had given you, and set you free.
He could hardly sleep the night before his big day, so excited over the mere idea of finally getting a chance to hold you.
It was rather unfortunate that, just before midnight, his father performed his very last act as king before passing on the mantle: having you executed.
Gojo awakened that morning to a crown on his head and a decapitated corpse by his side. Your lifeless hands were clenching the dead, white flowers he had given you.

He’s half-awake, voice thick with exhaustion when he answers his phone. “Speak.”
For a moment, you don’t say anything. Just let the tinny static brew between you, your mouth forming around words, but nothing comes out.
He sits up in his bed, the sheets sliding down his naked torso and puddling around his hips. “What’s wrong, sweetheart?” he dotes after pushing his hair back from his face.
You sigh, shaky, warring with yourself before putting on your grown-up pants and just…saying it. “Sylus. I’m sorry. I know it’s late.” Or early for him.
He chuckles, the sound of it thick and syrupy. Had you not been fighting for your life in your bed, you’d be up for some guided masturbation. But—
“It’s alright, sweetheart. I was just about to get up, anyway. What’s wrong?”
You worry your bottom lip between your teeth. Pull on some loose skin. “My period’s on.”
Fabric rustles on his side. He sits up, alert, elbow propped on his knee, spine rigid. “Is it?”
“Yep.”
“What do you need me to do?”
Your chest warms. You smile all wobbly, eyes watering—stupid hormone imbalances.
Sylus is always so eager to care for you. Always a life preserver, a buoy when you’re sinking. “I could use some company. Maybe a heating pad and some chocolate.”
He’s moving before you can fully articulate your thoughts. Tugging a shirt over his head, shimmying into some sweats. Keys jangling, shoes clicking over the floor. The phone’s wedged between his shoulder and cheek as he starts his motorcycle, his sleepiness thrown to the wind.
“Any particular brand of candy bar you’re craving? Or should I surprise you?”
You smile. Chuckle. “As long as it isn’t that gross stuff with the cherries in it, I don’t care what you get.”
“Be there in twenty,” he soothes, soft as velvet.
“Take your time.”
He’s punctual, as always. Kind enough to remove his shoes upon entering your home—spare key, courtesy of being your doting and trustworthy boyfriend. He flows into your bedroom like smoke, brows furrowing up at you cocooned like an emotional, pained burrito in your bed.
You shimmy away from the wall to face him, your cat poking its head out from your restraints before leaping out to greet him with a nudge to his shins and an affectionate brrrrp.
Sylus smiles, crooked, rueful, holding up a crinkly bag of confectioneries in one hand and an adorable Menstruation Crustacean in the other. His peace offering. His passcode for entry.
You wiggle away from the edge of the bed, closer to the wall, wordlessly signaling for him to join you. He snorts, shaking his head. Crosses the space between your door and bed in three measured strides. Shrugs out of his jacket, neatly dropping it onto your rolling chair. Plops his keys, phone, and wallet on your nightstand before crawling into your castle.
He props himself against your headboard, flanked by marshmallow-y pillows. Smirks at you, spreading his arms after patting his chest, grabby hands.
You worm your way towards him, curling against his body like a content little feline. His chin finds the crown of your head. Hand smoothes over your back, chest vibrates with mollifying humming as he lures you back to sleep.

Exhaustion
A/N: Hey I should be working on everything BUT this. do NOT blame my ass if this is ooc (I can't handle criticism and I'm aware :,>)
PART 1
L Lawliet Yandere! X GN! Reader
TW: Stalking, breaking and entering, obsessive thoughts/behaviors, nonconsensual touching
Tumblr media
It was an invasion of privacy; he knew that. It was against everything he stood for, what he strived to prevent-- an act familiar to the criminals he faced. And yet, he had no inclination to turn away, to retreat from your blackened bedroom and leave you alone in the dark.
There was something comforting about how silent you slept. Even with your body sprawled out like a crooked starfish, with your legs tangled in sheets and clothes wrinkled, you were in pure sleepful delight. A nuclear bomb could go off outside and this little sliver of the world would remain untouched, your eyes so gentle and shut, with soft eyelashes falling against your cheeks as if it were nothing, as if an angel hadn’t fallen asleep on the softest patch of grass away from the rest of the world.
L observed you from a distance, brazen enough to take your desk chair and sit in his peculiar way as a spectator. He did not dare to disturb the sanctified corner that was your bed-laden body.
You breathed in heavily, a quick heave through your nose that developed into a great exhale of pure exhaustion. It didn’t take a genius to see the weight witnessing your professor’s death left on you; L forgot how distressing morbidity could be for those not used to it, those who had not studied gruesome photos and rewinded videos of countless hours in crime and death.
You shift just slightly to sling an arm over your face, the streetlight beaming in through your window and casting a glow on your eyes and hair. It made you shine which in any instance would have been mesmerizing, but currently it threatened to expose the felony your stalker was committing.
Wobbling out of the desk chair with a catlike stare, L watched for movement as the chair creaked. His light, barefooted steps reached the curtains with a swiftness not expected of someone so gaunt. Your bedroom was curtained in complete darkness as his eyes adjusted, seeing the way your shirt rode up to expose just above your belly button, the sheets lined between your legs as you remained spread out, peaceful. It was an odd fascination he had come to realize-- not like one he had for solving crimes and convoluted mysteries, but a pleasant and simple interest in each little reaction you had. From the twitching of the tips of your fingers at times, to the way you’d swallow if your mouth was open for too long.
Most especially the different vocalizations you made, from snore-like grunts, to hums and sighs of pleasure as your back cooled against the linen. L intended to return back to his place of distant observation, feeling a lump the size of a plum seed burrowing in his chest as he imagined you waking.
Oddly enough however, your skin caught his eye. So unbothered and untouched, barely hidden by the white background you laid upon. Human bodies were a tricky, messy thing; purely biological, and often betraying our more advanced mental capacity for what was right and wrong. But yours… Even beneath that flesh being bone and muscle and meat, it looked… right.
This must be the ‘aesthetic’ that draws so many people in, why love and lust are so often confused… L did not need to dwell on the idea to recognize this was one of the few ‘firsts’ for him.You were by no means exempt from his cynicism or brutal comprehension-- but something here spoke more to him than mere logistical sense. It was appreciation, interest.
What did you feel like, what would parts of you taste like?
A pale, spindly hand reached out to you, gracing the exposed flesh of your midsection. You were hot to the touch, near burning; or perhaps he was just so freezingly cold. It wasn’t enough to disturb you out of sleep, just enough to send a shiver up your chest at the iciness. L’s hand found comfort resting there, his palm against the soft flesh as it rose and fell along with your chest.
Dare he… lift his hand higher, hand jaggedly moving up to the middle of your ribcage, slowly disappearing under your shirt. It was warm there, against the heat of your skin and the air trapped against your pajamas; his palm buzzed with a kind of painless sting.
Gracing the smooth ridges of skin, L’s fingers moved, almost in a ticklish motion as each pad searched to understand what allured him so much, what kept him here, drawing in his desperation to understand. Above all else L was an investigator, one with the all encompassing desire to expose the truth. He felt closer to an answer when he was near you, as if he could touch the reason why he was infatuated with you-- but still, he couldn’t make sense of it. There was no answer to be found, none that would satisfy him enough to leave you alone.
You unconsciously push your shirt down with a limp hand, drawing away from the cold air creeping up your stomach.
L sharply pulls his hand away, a look of surprise almost making its way to his face. His hand stood outstretched, curled and hovering from above as he watched you shift to lay on your side.
The anticipation keeps him alert, wondering if this will be the moment your snores turn to a panicked scream. The room is quiet, drifting… the perfect environment for a deep rest, no clear indication of a gangly body watching from the edge of your bed. Your phone occasionally lights up on the nightstand silently; it takes a wrongful amount of force to prevent L from picking it up.
He could attempt to delude himself into thinking he was just watching over a witness, protecting you from whatever violently lurked in the shadows; whether it be Kira, or an unfriendly fly. Even going so far as to say the reason he adjusted your sheets and lingered his fingers over your hot forehead were to keep you warm, unbothered.
But there was no lying to himself, that immoral feeling wouldn’t be dissuaded so easily. And L wasn’t stupid enough to try and pretend he didn’t know what he was.
The detective retook his seat in the desk chair, finding comfort in the distance between it and your mattress. This way, no movement of his would deter you from the unconsciousness he hoped to keep you in; though, was it truly for your benefit, or for his? His sunken eyes wander, grazing the soft darkness shrouding your silhouette.
Bringing his chin to his knees, L busied himself with thoughts of what you’d look like when you woke up, how you’d act all sleepily in the morning, and if you’d be just as forgetful tomorrow as you were tonight in leaving your windows unlocked.

𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐲𝐧𝐞𝐬
Prologue
Tumblr media
Part 1
Your mother was a beautiful kind and dangerous woman. In short. She was a Falcone. And for young Bruce, being with her was a thrill. Being Batman gave him a thrill, but your mother was a different kind of thrill.
Till she got pregnant. And the thrill was gone.
Your mother kept you of course. Counting the days till she gets to hold you in her arms. And when she finally got to hold you, to feel you close and hear your sweet little voice. The rest of the Falcone men decided that your mother wasn't ready to take care of you. So, they forced you out of her arms and sent you to Bruce.
Bruce held you once. And immediately passed you to Alfred. He was too young to become a father. (Never mind the fact he was already acting as a father to two boys)
He didn't have time to play daddy. Deep down Bruce did come to care for you over the years and attempted to try and hold you. But then Jason died, Dick distanced himself. Holding you, an innocent little thing, felt wrong.
When you were eight. You had tantrums. Night terrors. terribly scared of the dark. Thunderstorms especially. Gotham famous for its long dark nights and loud thunderstorms. Bruce, too busy with his new sidekick, Tim. Didn't have time to comfort you. No matter how heartbreaking your scrams for him were. Crying for him, so he can save you from whatever nightmare you have woken from.
But only Alfred occasionally Dick, would come and save you.
Bruce would give you toys, new dresses as a form of apology. He wouldn't give it to you directly. But have Alfred give it to you or leave it in your room when asleep. But no matter how many new toys he gives you. Those nightmares just never stopped.
Due to the neglect. Your mother was able to meet with you secretly. As years passed, she was able to steal you away when Alfred wasn't hovering around you. Take you to shop and give you whatever you wanted. Holding you in her arms and not wanting to let go.
Slowly, your mother was gaining the favor of some of the Falcones. To let her have you back. To welcome you back into the Falcone family. Once she gets the whole family to agree. She can make a case of child neglect against Bruce Wayne and take her sweet Babygirl back.
But when you were ten. Your powers began to kick in. You told Bruce, hoping your father would help you. Help you understand. Bruce, told you to keep it a secret. And to tell no one else.
Having a kid who was a meta was the last thing he needed at the moment. Trying to re-connect with Jason who still had deep hate for him instead focusing on his first-born child who was struggling to understand.
You felt like a freak.
And it wasn't long till you lost control of your powers. To keep it short. You accidently killed a few other kids with your powers. It was an accident. You swore. You see you would have just been left off. Your a kid. It was an accident. But most of all your a Wayne. But one of the kids you killed was a Falcone.
And Bruce couldn't risk you getting killed. He cared about you. Just not as much as he should. So, to avoid the wrath of the Falcone's. Bruce had to claim you were mentally ill. Sending you to Arkham. Only for a few months. That's what he said to you. That's what he promised.
You did your six months in Arkham. Six months turned to eight. Eight months turned to ten. Ten months turned to two years. Then finally, you were taken out from your cell. Lead by two prison guards. They said you had a visitor. You assumed it was another reporter. But was proven wrong when you see Bruce on the other side of the thick glass. You were shocked but happy to see your father.
"Daddy." You spoke softly as you slowly smile, putting your hand on the glass. Bruce hesitates to put his hand on the glass, once he does, he focused back to you. Your eyes stared at him with so much love and hope.
". . . Your case. . . the court decided you're, too unstable to attend court, so. . ." Bruce didn't look at you as he spoke. So, he couldn't see the smile on your face fade. Confusion taking over.
"But. . . I did my six months. . . I-I've been here for a year! Daddy, please I didn't do it on purpose!" You were on the edge of crying.
"I promise. I'll get you out of here as soon as I can." Bruce wanted to try and console you. But that was harder due to the glass between you two. He reaches out his hand to the glass once more. But the loud buzz that queued it was time for you to get back to your cell.
"Please Daddy don't let them take me!" You cried, putting both hands on the glass. You were in full despair. Bruce didn't know what to do. He can take the risk from the Falcones and get you out with a snap of his fingers. Or he can make it easy for everyone but you and wait till you serve your time.
". . . I'm sorry" Bruce can see you falling deeper and deeper into dispare.
Guards burst from the doors and had to forcefully take you away.
"No- No! Daddy please! DADDY!" Your screamed louder as the guards took you away, reaching out to Bruce who just stood there. And did nothing. As always.
Seven years later.
No one ever visited you again. Well, no one from the Waynes. But your mother visited you every week. Her visits where the only reason you kept saine.
Arkham isn't all fun and games. Obviously. You were immitted into Arkham's fucked version of rehabilitation. You started hearing things after your first month in Arkham.
. . .
You sent letters almost every day to the Wayne manor. But never got any back. None from Bruce. None from Dick. You and Tim weren't close. So, you didn't expect anything from him. Alfred prefers to call you. Wanting to hear your voice to make sure you were not lying to him when he asks of your wellbeing.
You stopped sending letters to Bruce a few months ago. Not like he'll respond anyway. You don't need Bruce. You have your mother. And she's all you'll need. She's your world now, your reason to keep living this pointless life. And once you're out, Mama promised to give you a big hug. Which you so desperately needed.

have your cake (and eat it too)
yandere! L Lawliet (death note) x gn! reader
cw; L is his own tw, imposter syndrome, explicit nsfw, mdni 18+
genie's notes; yayyy commissioned piece for @ozzgin !!! thank you ozzy my beloved for giving me the opportunity to write about my man ♡ if this feels long that's bc it is LOL i was having sm fun writing it got to 4k words,, can you tell i'm bonkers for this guy,, nevertheless, i hope you enjoy reading as much as i did writing :D
Tumblr media
“Take a picture,” you murmur. “It’ll last longer.”
“I know.”
You spare the man sitting besides you a quick glance. Despite the numerous dossiers emptied out onto the oak table before you, the detective’s attention is transfixed solely on you. Has been, for the past few hours.
“Ryuzaki?” You try again, hoping he’ll get the hint this time.
Stop fucking staring at me.
No such luck. He only tilts his head to the side expectantly and you wonder, not for the first time, whether he enjoys playing the fool, or if he’s just truly ignorant of your discomfort.
You don’t know which answer would be worse.
What you do know is that you can count on both hands the number of times you’ve been alone in a room with L. After all, it’s the exact same number of times that you’ve silently prayed for Kira to do you a favour and take you next.
The memory of the rest of the task force’s departure is still vivid. Yagami’s sympathetic smile. Matsuda’s shameless commiserations.
You can barely think. The sensation is strangely claustrophobic. Even now, you can feel the weight of his gaze settling over you like a burden.
With a weary sigh, you turn back to the pictures you’re thumbing through. All images of Kira’s most recent victims; their pale faces and milky eyes stare back at you with accusation. Months have passed without any sufficient leads and sure, you pull at loose threads when you can—but the mystery never quite unravels itself the way you hope for it to. There are no frayed edges. No loose seams.
Whoever this guy is, you can tell the smug son of a bitch takes pride in his work. Has you working overtime, too.
The wall clock across the room reads twenty minutes until five, but you didn’t really need to check the time to know that. With how high up you are, you can already glimpse the makeshift beginnings of dawn through the narrow gaps between Tokyo’s neon-lit buildings.
Screw this.
You’re going to cut your losses; already know you’re not getting any work done in these conditions. Better to mull over the details in the privacy of your own space—far from prying eyes.
You take the opportunity to flick through the pictures of civilian corpses once more, committing the details of the dead men’s faces to memory before finally tossing the alarmingly heavy file down onto the desk in front of you, where it lands with a resounding, strangely satisfying thud.
L doesn’t even flinch.
“I’m going home,” you announce, actively making an effort to avoid meeting the man’s eyes. Your chair scrapes against the floor as you stand, and the noise is unbearably loud within the otherwise silent room.
“So soon?”
You laugh at that. “It’s four in the morning, Ryuzaki.”
“Hm. So it is.”
“Time flies,” you shrug on your coat. “When are you going to leave?”
You ask out of politeness rather than any genuine curiosity. The question mumbled absently as you rummage around in your pockets for your hotel keycard.
You’re not from Tokyo. Just staying here for as long as the task force needs you to. Called in months ago from a nearby prefecture because of your stellar track record. You like to think you’re intelligent, and that Japan’s top minds recognised that about you. You suppose it doesn’t really hurt that you’ve got some connections to the national police force.
Though you’re glad to be trusted with the case, and happy to be here—you’ve never really cared much for the city of Tokyo itself. You miss the humdrum of the countryside; the constant chirping of cicadas hidden amidst tall blades of grass. A clear, blue sky unblemished by the fine points of soulless skyscrapers. Weaving through crowds without wondering whether one of them might be the mass murderer you’re hunting down.
L’s monotonous drawl snaps you out of your thoughts. Brings you back to exactly where you are right now and not necessarily where you’d prefer to find yourself, instead.
“I won’t.”
“You won’t?”
“Yes,” he repeats. Enunciates the syllables as if speaking to a child. No further clarification.
“I’m sorry.” You’re really not. “Are you seriously going to sleep here again?” You honestly don’t mean to sound disrespectful but the incredulity in your tone is difficult to mask. Much less in the presence of the world’s greatest detective.
The stories are true. You found them difficult to believe at first, but since then, you’ve confirmed the extent of L’s genius with your own observations. The man before you can function perfectly without any sleep for days on end. You remember the first time you’d left the office; come back the next morning to find L hadn’t moved an inch from where you’d left him last night.
Even still, it’s hard not to notice the prominent bags under his black eyes. The state of his clothes, all crumpled. The greasy, unkempt hair that frames his face. Despite his intellect, he’s still only human.
Even if it can be alarmingly easy to forget that.
“Why?” L asks blankly. “Are you offering me an alternative?”
Briefly, you think of the deputy director learning, come morning, that you’d left L to his own devices; The hard lines of disappointment marring his features. The disapproval in his otherwise polite gaze. He can’t be left alone. Something about being far too valuable, if you recall correctly. Or did he say vulnerable?
Regardless, you already feel like some charity case, even though you know that you’ve clawed your way to be here; called in favours and kissed the feet of men far beneath you. You deserve to be on the Kira task force as much as everybody else. Yet, you know what your answer will be long before you’ve even said anything.
Something tells you L knows, too. He’s never been the sort of man to ask questions that serve him no greater purpose.
Sometimes, you detest people like Matsuda for the ease with which they inhabit such unwelcoming spaces so boldly. The ability to exist so openly, without inhibition. But you detest yourself most of all, especially in moments like this where you’re burdened by the need to prove your belonging.
Well–
Are you offerring me an alternative?
–Shit.
“Yes.” you concede, not even bothering to look back at him as you reach to call for the elevator. Press the button with considerably more force than you should. “I suppose I am.”
You’re not nice. You’re certainly not charitable. But you are easy.
You spare him an exasperated glance over your shoulder when the doors finally slide open with a yielding sigh. From behind you, L makes no indication to move. You begin to doubt if he’s even heard you. Or, more specifically, whether he was ever really listening to begin with. His black eyes can feel so fucking vacant, sometimes.
“You coming?” you impatiently tap your foot against the carpeted floor as you hold the elevator open with narrowed eyes. “Or do I need to send you an invitation, Ryuzaki?”
“No need.” At that, L finally stands. He offers you one of his rare, private smiles; “I believe you already have.”
-
There are a couple of things you come to notice about L that day, when the ongoing investigation isn’t at the forefront of your buzzing mind.
It’s there, of course, because it’s difficult for any person to forget all of those dead faces; the list of unanswered questions growing by the hour—but the moment you slide your key into the lock and it turns with a satisfying click to open right into your little hotel room, it feels like a weight’s been lifted off your shoulders.
Take, for example, L’s penchant to be barefoot. He immediately steps out of his shoes the moment you kick the door shut behind you. Sinks his toes into the carpet (stained, and scratchy) with a blissful sigh.
You're choosing to ignore that.
Better not to drive yourself up the wall by paying attention to every little thing he does.
“Hungry?” you shrug off your coat and toss it onto the sofa.
“Sure.” And it’s not exactly a response, but you think this is the best you’re going to get from the man. Go rummaging through the fridge straight away, as you wave for him to take a sit in the tiny living room across from you.
“I know you have a sweet tooth,” The leather sofa crackles beneath his weight as he perches right on the edge, legs tucked up against his chest and his head resting over his knees sideways; so that he’s watching you in the kitchen. “So I’m cutting you a slice of some cake I made last weekend. Couldn’t finish it by myself if I tried.”
You eye him wearily as you set down the plates on the coffee table before the sofa, making sure to leave as much distance as is possible between the two of you when you sit down.
He sort of reminds you like a cat when he's like this, all curled up and comfortable. When he tries his first spoonful of sponge cake, he might as well start purring with delight. “This is good,” he mumbles between bites. “I didn’t know you could bake.”
“Yeah?” You impatiently drum your fingers against the armrest. “Well, there’s a lot you don’t know about me.”
The moment stretches for longer than it should.
You meet the detective’s eyes head on, find they’re as wide as saucers, staring back at you; and peering right inside. It feels downright voyeuristic and so fucking violating, the way you can feel him peeling back everything that you are to assess something nestled much, much deeper within.
You look away first, and the moment you do, you hear L hum approvingly—he sounds pleased, almost.
And though you know he would never seriously consider you competition, you still can’t shake the strange feeling that you’ve lost at something.
“No." L concludes. "No, I don’t think so.”
He sets his plate down on the table with a clink and you’re not surprised to find he’s already finished eating. All that remains is a single cherry; so violently red against the pale porcelain it sits on.
“Tell me,” He pinches the stem between his forefinger and thumb, and it’s the first reprieve you’re gifted from the weight of his calculating gaze; as his attention shifts to the sweet fruit he holds. “Why do you hate me?”
Shit, you realise your fingers are digging into the cracks in the leather armrest; flex your hand a few times before making an attempt to calmly fold them in your lap. Maybe because you make me feel like a fucking failure?
“I think you’re too smart for your own good.”
He gives that some thought. “As are you.”
It’s laughable, really. L is leagues above you in terms of intelligence. Prestige. Power. Who are you standing next to one of the greatest minds in the world? Who are you to deign that he recognises you?
You refuse to even recognise yourself.
“You don’t believe that,” you scoff.
“I do. I knew it from the moment you were first introduced to me.”
You pick up on something strange about the way he phrases it; the necessity of awareness required from both parties in a first introduction.
I'm losing it.
You shake your head, abandoning the tendrils of something akin to unease that had just begun to creep up on you. When else would he have first known you? It's a stupid thought. You’re not exactly the sort of person preceded by some magnificent reputation.
“Sure,” you decide to entertain him nevertheless, if only to see how far he’ll go. You wonder whether this is as close to gratitude as L can express, but is it for the hospitality or for the cake or for something in between? “And why was that, Ryuzaki?”
“L,” he corrects you. “Because even then, you wanted nothing to do with me.”
“And that’s what supposedly makes me a genius?” you scrunch your nose, “because I don’t like you?”
“So you insist on maintaining,” he drawls.
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Did you know, detective,” L ventures thoughtfully, “your heart rate always spikes quite dramatically whenever you’re alone with me.” His black eyes flicker to meet yours as he breaks off the stem—pops the cherry between his grinning lips.
You dig your nails into the skin of your palm. Focus on the sharp sensations of precise pain; imagine the little indents of crescent moons that will litter your skin later on.
“Ah,” your voice is unfamiliar even to your own ears. “Is that so?”
He eats the stem next, and you notice, not for the first time, that the man's skin is so pale, it’s like a thin sheet has been stretched tight over brittle bones. You can easily trace the jagged lines of blue and purple veins that curl around and underneath his face.
L’s lithe fingers reach into his mouth where the dark stem sits between his teeth. You catch a glimpse of his tongue as he pulls out the stem, now damp, and examines it between his fingers; holds it up to the light.
It takes you a few moments to realise he must be admiring his efforts. Or, rather just observing them. You’re not really sure if L is capable of awe. Whether he cares for it, given how easily he earns it; must not mean much to him.
(You’ll find out later that he is capable of awe, though there are more important things he hopes to garner.)
The cherry stem’s all folded up on itself; he’s tied it into a knot with his tongue.
Instinctively, your eyes dart to his mouth. “I didn’t know you could do that,” you confess lowly. “Neat party trick, huh?”
And the moment you voice the thought, you wish you’d stayed silent. The curl of his lips is infuriatingly self-satisfied, as if he’s in on some grand secret you’re not quite privy to; it feels the closest L will ever get to outright mockery, yet even then, there is something you must have mistaken for sincerity in his gaze.
You’re not sure whether that makes you feel better, or worse.
“There’s a lot,” L confesses slowly, “that you don’t know about me.”
It doesn’t escape you that even something as simple as this sounds truer when L says it.
-
Later, the dishes have been cleared away and though you can barely keep your eyes open, you’re rummaging through your suitcase to pass him a new toothbrush because, you insist, you always carry spares. L admits he's never had to brush his own teeth before.
One hand on his jaw, and another curled around the brand new toothbrush you'd managed to dig out for him, you give him a reluctant demonstration.
You don't think he listens to a word you say; his attention seems to be focused elsewhere.
After his turn, you pad into the attached bathroom and brush your own teeth with the overhead lights switched off.
Tired, you don’t notice as you unscrew the lid of your old toothpaste that your own brush’s bristles are wet, whereas the toothbrush you’d handed to L is still unopened in its plastic packaging, left positioned neatly by the basin.
-
L is garishly tall.
It can be easy to forget that considering how often he’s hunched over a desk or curled up in a chair. When he stretches to yawn, his shirt rides up his abdomen, revealing a pale sliver of skin underneath. You avert your gaze. The last thing you need is to be caught staring.
“Take the bed,” you offer, already sinking into the loveseat's cushions.
L stares at you as he scratches his jaw. “I don’t sleep in beds.”
You don’t even want to begin deciphering that statement. You’re beginning to think this cryptic act is purposeful; that he gets off on being evasive. Out of reach.
You’re not even sure if he can see you, considering how dark it is in the room, but you put on your sweetest smile all the same. It feels vindictive and thrilling and you believe it’s the least he deserves.
“Well, cheers to trying new things, Ryuzaki.”
He says nothing in response, and even though he’s nothing more than a vague silhouette in the absence of light, you manage to make out the slowly way he climbs into the bed—crawls to the edge of the Queen bed that’s closest to your own spot. Pulls up the duvet to his chin, and lies on his side so he's directly facing you.
It’s unnerving. You wish desperately in times like these that you could click his head open like a purse and look inside; it's impossible to tell what he's thinking.
And then he starts talking.
-
Finally, there’s a lull in your conversation that stretches far too long.
You make no effort to salvage the exchange, relishing in its conclusion, and much to your relief, neither does your partner. It’s not necessarily that L’s bad company but it’s also not not that he’s impossibly infuriating to talk to. You just want to sleep. It's been a long fucking day.
You close your eyes, allowing a welcome silence to settle inside the stuffy room.
Then you try to ignore it.
You really, really do.
Much to your dismay, even your best efforts prove futile. The quiet doesn’t last nearly as long as you’d like.
“Ryuzaki,” In the face of overwhelming fatigue, all niceties are forgotten and honesty reigns supreme. “Why the fuck can I feel your eyes on me?”
“I can’t sleep,” he simply responds, in lieu of a proper answer.
You might’ve laughed if you weren’t so tired. Unlike him, you unfortunately do not have the seemingly inhumane ability to function properly without multiple consecutive nights of sleep. So, with a long sigh, you decide to let it slide.
Just one more time.
Then, with disapproval evident in your weary voice, because it would feel too much like accepting defeat to say nothing at all; “you know, normal people usually just count sheep.”
“Mm." The sheets rustle. "Sleep well.”
“...Thanks. You, too.”
Behind the heavy blackout curtains of the hotel room, the sky turns a soft, dreamy lilac.
Outside, some parts of Tokyo wake up to the mellifluous sound of morning’s first birdsong, and others take that as their queue to drunkenly stumble home in search of a warm bed to fall into.
On the busy streets dozens of stories below yours, the city moves as it always does. Vibrant and alive—though waiting with bated breath in anticipation of death; Kira the only constant in this new world.
You don’t even realise you’ve dozed off in the armchair; sleep is simply a welcome reprieve from such a long day. A privilege, and not the routine it used to be.
You dream of running away from something. Of simply falling through a solid floor.
Conversely, though he has taken your advice, L finds rest evades him.
Content with staying awake, he takes the rare opportunity to simply observe you from across the room, and it’s such a fascinating sight, to finally see you so at peace. You usually run on such a short fuse. Well-meaning, but difficult to deal with nonetheless. You like to be seen; hate to be stared at.
Aren’t you a charmer?
In the pale beginnings of dawn, he is a silent shepherd. He smiles at the thought, whilst gnawing on his thumbnail.
The sheep he counts all have your face.
-
You’re not sure what exactly it is that wakes you up, but it’s quiet when you do.
Even still, something causes you to stir, and before you know it, you’re pulled out of a sleep you hadn’t even realised you’d fallen into with bleary, blinking eyes that adjust to the dark and land on—
Nothing. A startling absence where L’s body should be.
The bed’s empty, and the crinkled duvet has been hastily tossed to one side. You notice that the warm glow of the nauseatingly yellow bathroom lighting spills out from behind the door, left open just a crack. It strikes you as strange, that the door’s not fully closed. You feel justified in looking in. Call it concern. Curiosity.
Does it really matter?
“Ryuzaki?” you venture, stepping closer. No answer. The silence is strangely more overbearing when you’re standing right in front of the bathroom door. With a hand resting on the brass knob, you decide to try once more. “Hey. L?” Silence, still and true.
It feels a lot like peering into Pandora’s box, when you inevitably do push the door open.
Look inside. And, huh—
There is L, hunched over the sink.
In one hand, he is holding what is unmistakably your underwear. You recognise the soft cotton instinctively, even though it’s balled up tight in his fist and he’s pressing the fabric against his nose; shuddering when he breathes in, languidly long and deep like a desperate smoker's drag of his last cigarette.
The lighting overhead casts sweeping shadows over his pale face, but despite the darkness the rest of his features are enshrouded in, you still manage to make out those black eyes; blown wide, wide open. Thick and heavy like eerily lucid, deep, dark pools of tar you can feel yourself getting sucked into.
His hand works at a methodologically steady pace. His breathing is perfectly controlled as he works at his cock with deft fingers. His tip is flushed a painful pink, leaks pre that’s been smeared down the shaft’s length. Between glimpses, you manage to make out prominent veins that eagerly pulse in response to his touch.
Proud. Heavy.
Hungry to sink into something far tighter than his fist.
—Your breath catches in your throat. It is impossible to look away.
The following moments are hazy, at best. Time seems to slow down to a crawl when the scene before you clicks into place, and the world moves in still frames after that; the last one lingering too long and imposing over the next.
You don’t remember saying anything, but you must have let a gasp slip past your parted lips. Stumbled backwards, perhaps. Some involuntary indication of your presence, peering in behind him.
Time fractures completely when L looks up; gaze snapping straight to meet yours in the mirror.
You catch a glimpse of yourself in the reflection, looking so laughably petrified—clearly just having rolled out of bed. There is not a single thing to be said as he lets his black eyes wander, appraisal silent and shameless as he drinks in the state of you; all tousled hair and crumpled clothes and bare feet.
His hands work faster then. His movements grow jerkier, breathing shallow. Eyes flutter shut, finally looking away from you, as his grip on your underwear tightens—knuckles white from the sheer effort of holding on, refusing to let go and inhaling your scent—nose buried desperately deep in the dirty cotton. Pathetically fervent. Chasing that blissful high with a new vigour.
You have been taught by many a smart man to never go seeking answers to questions when you do not wish to face them.
And so, when you glimpse this stranger’s tongue dart out to wet his cracking, dry lips the exact moment they wrap around the shape of a familiar name—hear the syllables repeated with a devotion akin to reverence; something like prayer—the man shudders exactly when you do.
Comes undone just as you slam the door shut.
You’re standing there in what you think might be shock, with a shaking hand resting against the doorknob. You choose to focus on the way in which the hair on your arm stands on end. Because if it’s not that, it’d be the sound of the tap running.
The door swings open abruptly. The man breezes past you, and quietly crawls back into bed. Rooted to where you stand, it’s all you can do to turn over your shoulder and observe him.
He catches you staring, merely tilts his head to the side from where he’s settled into the sheets, a coy little lilt to his lips.
For the first time, you’re the one who doesn’t look away. Couldn’t, even if you tried. Stygian strands of hair fall over his eyes, the darkest black they’ve ever been. Despite the fact that it feels like you’re staring at a stranger, facing him is familiar, as it always is; like wading into a thick tar.
Viscous and heavy and clinging.
You might’ve missed what he said if you weren’t so hyper focused on his every minute movement. His words are barely above a whisper, after all, and carry a strange lilt—as if recited, almost. Like he’s reading a line; performing some private joke.
“Take a picture,” L smiles knowingly. “It’ll last longer.”
