Have you heard of the show "Undercover Boss"? Where the CEOs of companies disguise themselves as entry level newbies to see what goes on under their noses?

I know the show itself is spiced up for TV drama, but I can definitely imagine this premise in a DPxDC scenario.

I'll be real, I don't think I've ever been in a situation at my job where someone (allegedly) said "what are you gonna do about it" when confronted after publicly mocking my concern for work place safety, and until that time comes and I see how I react, I will not make definite comments about whether I would or would not choke a coworker out a little.

said it once, saying it again outside of tags: the person you are when you're being abused is not truly reflective of who you are. in an abusive situation, you are in constant survival mode. you are behaving in ways that you think a) are going to please the abuser and b) are going to keep you from being hit, berated, or otherwise punished. you do not get to be who you really are because that is legitimately dangerous. it creates a vulnerability you cannot afford. you need to act with your self-preservation instincts in mind first and foremost, and self-preservation often conflicts with authenticity and honesty. so when you're looking at those texts, judging build for being such a thoughtless, hateful person, try to understand what it's like mentally to have your back to the wall for months or years on end.

Sawakita told me he would send threatening letters to my house again if a pretty girl's cough got any worse. In fact, he said the only reason he wasnt doing so now was because I warned him I'd call the cops.

Safe to say, I would really rather not interact with him if possible.

This is, of course, nothing against you!! You don't control him- he's almost an adult he should know better by now, and you seem super nice! Very protective of someone who should really appreciate you more, but super nice all the same.

But in the same vein that I'm sure sawakita wouldn't want to interact with me, I really don't want to deal with him either

sorry to send a genuine ask to this joke blog, but as a lucifer liker who used to be a hater, i can definitely understand where you're coming from...

lucifer's main problem is that no matter how much development he gets, he's still tied to his foundations of s1, where the writers were desperate determined to make him anime christian grey. he feels like a parody of male bdsm doms or yaoi semes made years too late, clearly written for cishet women but shoved onto a diverse audience. they stop doing this in s2, but only to the best of their ability (sometimes), because his character is unfortunately tied to being a dick. not just in his sin of pride, but by just... being an asshole.
