I was expecting star-crossed lover feelings. I knew there would be an archetypal tragedy that seems both preventable and inevitable. Those elements, I could brace myself for somewhat. But nothing prepared me in the slightest for the CLASS CONFLICT arc, and it gave me chills like Eurydice had in that storm.

Confession: I’m more of a Pathfinder fan than a DnD fan, so my first exposure to the Aasimar was in that series (bc they’re a playable race too). The most famous Aasimar in my mind is Daeran Arendae, so when I first got the Dame Aylin section, I didn’t know shawty was an Aasimar, I just thought she was some weird looking white chick that Shadowheart had beef with so I killed her with no questions asked.
