As for my own headcanons, that scene of him literally flattening himself to get underneath the door both scared me and gave me so many ideas. Gonna go insane in your inbox rq, I apologise in advance. I imagined someone who tried to lock the front door to avoid him, only for him to literally squeeze in THROUGH the keyhole. Bit by bit until he lands in front of them. Shit eating grin and all. You can try to hide from him, but he'd squash and stretch his way towards you eventually.

Hiding under a bed? Who do you think he is, the Boogieman? He'd just stretch out his arm until he grabs your wrist, slowly dragging you out with a firm yet playful grip. Or who knows? Maybe he might crawl under there with you. Ask you who you're hiding from with a devilish gleam in his eyes. How would you get out of that?

Every time I see those godawful rings in The Rings of Power I am filled with indignation. You're telling me that the greatest living Elven smith set these chunky bizarrely cut stones into these incredibly basic bands?? Was this the wretched work of Sauron to make Celebrimbor forget everything he ever knew about lapidary???

These rings are completely out of step with the rest of the elven art nouveau aesthetic. Elrond was 100% correct; they should have been cast into the abyss before they infected Middle Earth with the desire for subpar costume jewelry.

The whole point of cutting gemstones is to make them catch the light and sparkle in a way that shows off the unique properties of the stone. Celebrimbor's grandaddy understood this perfectly when he crafted the Silmarils, which captured the light of the Two Trees of Valinor. (Then he apparently died without passing this knowledge on to his descendants and Celebrimbor was forever dragged for his questionable design choices, I guess)

Galadriel, gazing in fascination at the first Ring Pop ever crafted by the elves. Look at how delicate the rest of her jewelry and costume are in contrast to the Temu engagement ring. The elves eventually have to take these rings off not because Sauron forged the One Ring but because theirs were turning their fingers green.

There are so many set and costume designs in this show that I love; clearly a lot of talented people worked on this show! I just wish that as much elegant craftsmanship had informed the TITULAR rings.

(I'm sure some there have been some defensive justifications for Why the Rings Look Like That but I tell you I will not be swayed by any of them)

all of them being physically different than others in some way (po being the only panda at first and being made fun of for being fat, mulan being a woman warrior, zuko and his scar) (this along with other things fits into the lgbt allegory idea)

imagining azul as a type of cannibalistic octopus, on your first night together he’s spent so long hyping himself up and grueling over whether or not he’s content giving himself to you, eventually coming to terms with it and deciding to make the event as romantic & easy to clean as possible. when the deed is done, he’s so anxious and pathetic and practically withers away as he looks at you,,, he knows what comes now… but when your teeth don’t tear at his flesh, he looks at you with confusion, a bit disappointed by the lack of development, but far more relieved. He asks and you explain that humans don’t cannibalize their partners,,, and it clicks. so many others can come back and brag about their partners and he’s a bit embarrassed by the revelation, but SO relieved. it’s a cute thing, he’s so excited to continue living with you

AAAAAA YES YES. OTL Azul who is only familiar with mer courtship and sex customs, so he's fully prepared to give himself to you after he spends so much time mulling it over. Aaaaa he's so cute, preparing so many snacks to make sure you're well-fed and too distracted to think about eating him after the fact. Azul being too worried to do anything face to face, so he fucks you from behind instead. Later, when he learns you won't be devouring him after sex, he becomes more confident holding you closer and fucking you in intimate positions that allow him to look at you. <3

I think he'd have some of the best snacks as well. orz all of your favorites along with some of his favorites, too. The snacks being scattered like rose petals is so silly to imagine, and he'd probably look so proud about it as well. Imagine the things I'd survive, Dick thought distantly, if I loved Bruce less. Or: Agent 37 and his various crises of faith, on Day 277 at Spyral, Day 150, and Day -0.

Who will receive the body, decide on the funeral, receive condolences, make all the decisions that matter. No one has questioned it, not even Tim’s friends. There’s a terrible clarity about death. If Dick said, let’s burn everything he owned, Alfred would do it.

He doesn’t know exactly what Tim would say. But he knows what Tim would do. Tim dies. Dick doesn’t take death for an answer. A Red Robin 12 AU.

He waits a moment, head turned slightly towards the dim shapes of storage containers between him and the ramp, eyes straining against the blackness. Long, stretching seconds. There it is again. His gloved hand, prickling with cold, closes into a fist. It’s a wood thrush. A small North American songbird that doesn’t sing at night, doesn’t live in the city. He knows what it means. It means hold, steady, not yet. It means wait for me, I’m behind you.

Aro culture is I do not know how to state this plainly but

aromantic person is to amatonormativity and atheist is to religion? Like I've seen atheists question religion a lot and they seem unusually well read compared to their religious counterparts and despite knowing more about it, they also have a whole lot of questions most religious people dare not to ask or think about at all. And then there's aros! Between allos and aros, the aros are likely the ones who have read about amatonormativity and I do not think allos even know about the word at all, neither do they question (and probably challenge) it as much as we aros typically do.

I'm gonna be totally real, I am leery of takes like that about "religion" because 90+% of the time in atheist spaces I've seen or heard of, it's like... only actually talking about Christianity with a smattering of other religions as viewed by a christo-centric cultural lens.

I think any time someone starts making broad claims about any group being "unusually well read" it's time to take a step back and consider your sampling bias and clustering bias. You likely specifically seek out people who are well read, and end up with sampling bias. Additionally, that sort of community often references within itself, and especially if you follow a group, you see the cluster around that group, which inflates the perceived impression.

Please note, i'm not saying you are like... 100% wronger than any person alive. I'm just saying that's not easily studied by experts, and it's actually quite hard to say anything about these types of metrics without bias.

The point you are making though, I think, may be better expressed by talking about people who leave a common belief system or never belonged to a common belief system in their life. In general, people who intentionally or unintentionally fail to comply with a commonly held opinion could be more likely to spend more time thinking about the nuances of it and related subjects. I think that is a point I could concede is generally true.

I love the idea that, whenever a Cybertronian space-faring vessel lands or docks within a predominantly non-Cybertronian space station or port, that it's required that they either confirm or deny whether their vessel is sentient or not before being permitted to land.

1. For proper accommodation and clarification, along with the chance for communication between the vessel and crews working the station/port.

2. Because there has been... incidents... incidents that have led to the requirement of the above reasons.
