uhhhhhhhhhh that vice quadrant thingy you mentioned earlier? idk
YAY OK THIS ONWS GONNA BE . LONG
Tumblr media
okay i have 2 explain some stuff first . blue matter is something peter walter 1 discovered , it's very important to the spg universe(s) . it's the thing that powers the robots. it has the capability to open rifts in space and time and it has before .
The thing that starts up the whole story is 2 characters from the becile family (which i havent explained yet) basically kidnapping rabbit to experiment on her blue matter core . 2 other characters (guy hottie(thats his actual name) and peter walter 2) break in to try and stop them, but a blue matter explosion fragments space and time , creating 2 universes . universe prime and universe omega . the explosion also sends a beam of blue matter into space .
universe prime
in universe prime , the blue matter beam hits peter walter the 3rd(refered to as IV from now on)'s space ship . he gets hit directly in the chest , the beam turns him into commander cosmo , granting him superhuman abilities (seen in the song Commander Cosmo) . he saves earth multiple times because hes been basically forced into this superhero role . he gets depressed and decides to trap himself in a star until it kills him . he goes into a rift in space (the achilles rift) and is brought to universe omega . his storyline continues in the universe omega section later dont worry about him for right now
a young peter walter 6 (refered to as VI from now on) starts working on the W.I.N.K project , a satellite built to find habitable planets (seen in Steamjunk) .
22 years later , the robots (the spine , rabbit , hatchworth) find W.I.N.K crashed near walter manor . he tells the robots about the green apple planet he found but lost because the space giant took it . they get VI to turn him into a spaceship and they go back into space to find the planet .
they go into space and find the space giant with the planet . the giant turns out to be a spg fan , they play some songs and he challenges them to a guitar duel , during the duel he just kinda shrinks down . into nothing . they get the planet back , W.I.N.K brings them home but decides to go back and live on the planet .
universe omega
before everything about commander cosmo , in this universe the blue matter beam doesn't hit IV's space ship . it barely misses , the crew starts studying the blue matter , and it leads to a domino effect on earth and humans make insane progress in technology , as seen in the song Progress And Technology (see what i did there. hehe) . the blue matter beam instead hits a russian space probe with human dna on it , creating cosmica/the daughter of space . cosmica finds IV's ship , and accidentally destroys it in her curiousity . she rescues IV from it , he's known as just the astronaut from here . they also fall in love btw theres like 5 love songs in the album abt them
back to commander cosmo . he seals himself in a dying star called the necrostar , accidentally bringing it back to life . just under 100 year timeskip , ravaxis starburner (character that hasnt shown up before hes new . hi rav) blows up the necrostar to free commander cosmo .
the astronaut and cosmica have been destroying moon bases and spaceships together . with help from a space militia , commander cosmo kills the astronaut and gets cosmica to realize Hey you cant let your boything kill people . it ends there but it DOESNT later on a fragment of the necrostar finds the astronaut's corpse and merges with it , creating the necronaut . the album then ends there for real this time . :3

also maybe bsf!Rafe dealing with a drunken reader that keeps saying sweet nothings in his ear (but truly truly heartfelt) and Rafe has no clue how to take those things while he keeps taking care of reader (and making sure nothing happens to them)
did I go absolutely feral when I read this? yes. this is probably the most one of the girls rafe and reader coded idea I have ever read and I want to worship the ground you walk on for sending me this 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ I love love u🦉nonnie <3
you render bsf!rafe absolutely speechless with your affectionate drunken words… <3 listen to fantasy by kali uchis & don toliver for this one <3 cw: slightly suggestive content (no actual smut!), mentions of alcohol and weed consumption, minimal usage of nicknames like babydoll <3 for: @ilyrafe who’s probably one of the most talented writers i’ve had the honor of getting to talk to :’) you’re the absolute sweetest gabi, i adore you so much 💟
part of this little universe <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the purple strobe lights flash all over the dancing bodies at the party, highlighting the subtle skin on skin touches, the intertwined hands, the sweat dripping down the slope of the necks, and the smoke leaving the weed joints.
you and rafe would more or less usually get wound up in the dancing too, having the lights flash across you two in the otherwise dark party manor, your bodies pressed up, his arms always tight around you to keep you as close as he can.
but right now, instead of getting to dance, rafe is standing next to your sitting figure on one of the bar stools, your body leaning against his and his arm tightening protectively around you.
“c’mon rafe let’s go dance please!” you slurred, looking up at rafe with pleading eyes. he lets out a sigh of exasperation and tightens his grip around your shoulders, shaking his head.
“no, I told you, you’re way too drunk,” he grumbles. “you can’t even stand straight. you’d be trippin’ over an’ shit all the time on the floor, so no,”
you pout at his words, reaching out for the glass kept on the counter behind you but rafe pulls onto your arm with his free hand, tugging it away from the glass.
“I told you, no more drinks f’you,” he sighs. “c’mon babydoll, adjust with me here,”
he lets go of your hand and tugs you closer to him from his arm around your shoulders, and you snuggle up against his side. you look up at him, his eyes scanning around the crowds, his weed joint hanging limply between his two fingers.
you bury your face in his side, taking in a deep breath and letting his scent cloud your senses. “you smell very good…” you murmur, letting your glazed eyes flutter against his tshirt. “something new you’re trying?” you ask quietly, your arm coming up to wrap around his torso, your fingers fiddling mindlessly with the hem of his tshirt.
“it’s the same one as always,” he mutters, his gaze never stopping scanning around the crowds. his eyes have already zeroed on people who he noticed eyeing you in a way he wasn’t particularly fond of, and mentally preparing himself to not let them even in a two mile radius around you both.
“you sure? smells different…” you mutter, taking another deep breath. “well, whatever it is, you smell really good…” your words spill from your lips, the different sounds running into one another to sound slightly incoherent to rafe, yet he understands you perfectly well.
“and this shirt…” you mumble, your fingertips starting to sneak under the hem of his tshirt, tracing gently over the skin of the side of his torso, the sudden movement causing rafe to take a sharp breath, “you look very good in it… suits you… brings out your eyes…” your fingers start to trace small shapeless patterns on his skin, your eyes trailing over his arms in the half sleeved tshirt, “and… and your arms too… look good…”
rafe can feel his heart starting to thump louder in his chest from your words and the way your fingertips glide over his skin, but his eyes keep on examining the crowd, something he has done uncountable times already, but he isn’t so sure what his next move should be when your words is causing his breath to hitch in his throat. he moves his hand to take a hit of his joint, letting the joint stay in between his lips, his hand coming back down to his side.
your fingers come out from under his shirt and find his hand on his side, softly trailing over his fingers and forearm, tracing the visible veins gently.
“you always take such good care of me…” you murmur quietly, “always makin’ sure i’m okay…”
your fingers trail over the sensitive underside of his forearm, and you can feel goosebumps rising on his skin in the wake of your touch.
to give himself a grip rafe tightens his arm even more around your shoulders, his fingers starting to dig into your skin through the fabric of your clothes. he feels your fingers descend back down to his hand, starting to interlace with his which he doesn’t complain about at all, easily letting your fingers slip into his.
you give his hand a faint tug, which finally causes him to look down at you. you give it another tug, this one a little firmer than the first one. rafe moves in front of you, your back pressing against the bar counter as you look up at him.
you pull on his intertwined hand, bringing it closer to your mouth before you start to gently press kisses over the back of his hand, the kisses just slightly sloppy from your drunken and hazy mind.
“you’re so perfect… so caring, so loving…” your mumbled words spill out against his skin, “and just so so handsome...”
rafe has to hold back the sound wanting to escape past his lips, his teeth almost biting down on the joint in his mouth. he can’t help but look at you with your mouth running over the back of his hand and his wrist, pressing a kiss to whatever patch of skin you can succumb to, his mind starting to go into an overdrive.
you’re going to be the death of him.

the bee, the bird, the bear -- uncle!carmy x babysitter!reader
Tumblr media
ok y’all full disclosure — i think i was super annoyed there was very little writing on carmy because i’ve had this AU idea for so long and i wasn’t sure if i was like… imposing or not, if that makes sense. anyway, i decided that, hey, it’s my blog, i can do what i want
therefore… uncle!carmy x nanny!reader
as always, warnings: major character death, past child neglect and abuse situations, swearing, tooth-rotting fluff, and eventual smut
prologue
an alternate universe where carmy wasn’t only left the restaurant, but rights to michael’s kid.
it was a regular evening at the bear. natalie, extremely pregnant, was escorting guests to their tables, richie was controlling the atmosphere, and carmy was holding down the fort the best he could. that was until the next guest that walked through the doors was a woman... who introduced herself as a social worker.
“it is my understanding that your late brother had no idea of her existence,” the woman had stated to carmy. “the girl’s late mother kept it that way on purpose… but now the mother has passed away as well. you and natalie are the last family she has.”
carmen felt the blood drain from his face, his arms, and every one of his limbs. his mouth fell agape — not because he was stunned, but because he felt like he had lost all control that he had struggled so hard to find and hold onto. carmen had no clue what to do.
zip, zero, none. absolutely none.
the first few days, the four year old girl — his niece — sat in his office and played with dolls and coloring books. natalie was kind enough to pick them up and shove them her way when carmy appeared to still be consumed with shock.
his brother had a daughter. carmy and sugar had a niece.
carmy didn’t know the mother, nor what she looked like — and that didn’t matter. his niece looked exactly like her father, his brother — dark, thick hair and chocolate eyes. her smile was bright and big — so bright and big that carmen thought he was looking at mikey when he was younger, about ten years old. he couldn’t believe his eyes, every time he looked at her — it seemed like a dream, a super fucked up dream that he didn't know if it was fucked up to want to wake up from. he caught himself, several times, glancing in her direction and blinking multiple times — unable to believe what was right in front of him.
natalie had offered to take guardianship of the little girl the moment she saw that look in carmen’s eyes. carmen had to admit — he almost  immediately agreed. what business did he have being a parent? he just became a restaurant owner — a good one at that, maybe, but still: he worked late, long hours, and didn’t have more than three plates and sets of silverware in his apartment at that moment. thankfully, the apartment was a two bedroom — but that was as equipped as carmy could be considered.
carmen berzatto was the furthest thing from qualified.
the furthest fucking thing.
did he know that? yes. did everyone know that? yes. was he, and everyone else worried? undoubtedly yes.
but did carmen give up the rights to his niece to his sister? no. he didn’t.
so what did he do?
he hired a nanny or a babysitter, whatever — a friend of syd’s; you, a student, looking for work.
he felt like he didn’t have time to interview you. maybe he did, maybe he didn't — all he knew was that there was a familiar weight beginning to make a home on his chest. he had worked so hard to keep his anxiety at bay, and he tried to shove it down the best he could. he couldn't freak out — not yet, anyway. if he trusted syd, and syd trusted you, then he trusted you with his niece — and his credit card to go buy her things.
when you received the call from syd, you immediately came in after class. you had been looking for work for some time now, and you were grateful that your friend had thought of you. when you first arrive at the restaurant, the first person you saw was the man of the hour. you smiled at carmen, and he did his best to return it.
it was the first time you realized that not everything could be fixed with a little bit of honey and a positive attitude. you tried to remind yourself that syd and her partners had built this place from the ground up, and you found yourself immediately pushing your apprehension down and admiring their work. anyone, from even miles away, could see how much time, money, and effort they had put into the place — something they loved, they were passionate about, something they deemed important.
your smile reflected your restored faith in the man that syd talked so highly about.
but inside… you were worried. you were worried for the young girl, for natalie, who had a baby on the way, for syd and everyone else that relied on carmen and natalie’s leadership, but most of all… you were worried for carmen.
could he handle being a parent?
could you handle being a babysitter?
could you handle carmen, who appeared to be strangers with sleep and relaxation?
only one way to find out.

lmk what you guys think :) -L xo

IF SOMETHING’S STRANGE IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD, WHO YOU GONNA CALL? GHOSTBUSTERS!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: the marauders solving crimes.
warnings: my writing
a/n: this is so silly i love it, really inspired by scooby-doo
the ghost is inspired by this nice looking dude here
Tumblr media
“there’s no way this is real.” remus said as they walked through the abandoned building. the atmosphere was heavy and the feeling that the walls could crumble down any moment wasn’t going anywhere. they had found a man walking around the perimeter one hour ago, he went inside the exact moment the marauders yelled for him and he’s currently nowhere to be seen. now remus had to deal with the mixed feelings of knowing there was someone in here besides them and that for an abandoned storage the place was quite polished. he swore he hadn’t saw even one spider web in twenty minutes inside, only making his suspicions grow stronger. was the stranger frequently coming in here? if so, how come no one from the little town that surrounded the storage area knew him and his night — oh god, maybe even diurnal — habits?
“what are you talking about, moony? the neighbours said no one stepped a foot in here since the nineties,” sirius contemplated before clearing his throat and adding“well, besides us and the gentleman that’s somewhere in here!” he made sure to put emphasises in the last part making james shake his head in agreement — or a quiet laughter — as they kept doing their best. by ‘their best’ it actually means illuminating dark corners with their flash lights, looking for clues on old screwed papers… peter even pulled all the books from a bookshelf expecting to find a secret passage to a mad scientist’s lab, only to put them in their place later.
remus heard one of his friends sigh as a lot of dust spread through the air when the one sat down on a visibly old chair. “mate this place is huge. there’s noway where finding anything here with only one night.” peter complained, pointing out the place as a whole. james chuckled in response, thinking in ways to gently point out that his evident tiredness is a consequence of his search for a secret passage. “were almost done here, pete. aren’t we moony?” james asked instead, only earning a shrug from remus as an answer.
they continued to walk around for what felt like 3 hours — 30 minutes, before ‘calling it for the night’. the four boys made sure to be as loud as possible, explaining how they would come back tomorrow with the cops to search for the missing man. the plan was clear; make the guy go out of his hidden spot on his own instead of playing hide and seek with him. james and peter where on the entrance, their backs facing the outside of the lawn as they made sure to use their flashlights to scan every corner the light could reach on the inside. remus and sirius sat on some old chairs, chatting about something irrelevant as they waited for the man to come out of his spot. when they understood it would take longer than 5 minutes they started moving. sirius walked around the perimeter like a security guard, eyes searching for some endangerment not yet revealed. it all happened to quickly. peter floor, james jump, figure down, running, shock, running, helping, level zero.
after 10 minutes of that little hide-and-seek game peter saw something - or someone - moving in the shadows and pointed his flashlight to it. the thing is, the guy had also met this ghost mate or the ghost mate and the guy were the same person. which doesn’t make any sense, remus and the rest of the boys were pretty sure the man was an alive human being. each of them prayed not to be insane at some point after that night. now, the problem: peter down, - how can a ghost have the strength to push someone down? - james jumping on the ghost’s back and being flown away with him, sirius and remus grabbing a rope to enlace the ghost’s ankle and throwing it and failing miserably. james, wisely enough, threw himself in an old mattress at the ground bringing the man-ghost with him.
“well done prongs!” sirius yelled, his voice echoing through the whole storage.
- 🕸️ -
after, not the most relaxing, 20 minutes of their lives the sheriff of the town had showed up. the sight was… interesting at the most. three teenagers, one of them with a rat on their hands with someone on a costume tied up to a chair.
“well, what can i do for you kids?”
“get the guy who had been terrorising the neighbourhood, vandalising public places, stealing supplies from this place for over five or more years and committing arsons.” sirius explained, feeling very proud of himself as he watched the sheriff’s reaction, who takes the spectrum’s mask off, revealing a middle aged man.
“If it weren't for those darn kids and their stupid rat, i’d have gotten away with it!”

What about a reader that has sub zero's abilities
If you don't know mortal combat, sub zero basically can control ice and freeze any type of water including the water in living things which he can freeze them and he can freeze the water in the air making the room look like someone had a blizzard, he can also make ice into weapons. You know he's near when it starts to feel chili. So a reader that can do that basically, would that make reader seem less fragile to them, would that delusion that reader needs their help and they can only protect reader, would they allow reader to fight with them now because the ability to control ice would help or would they try to seal it.
Tumblr media
This is sub zero here
Tumblr media
I drew your hands in a familiar motion. Calling on the water in the air to freeze. On my command ice grew into a slender needle half a foot long. I shot it forth with devastating speed. The icicle embedded itself deep into the monster's muscle and it roared in pain. A drop of blood fell down the hide of the beast and it turned to face me.
These monsters were everywhere. I had no clue what they were but they looked almost like bulldogs. All short and lean with muscle. Their blue tinted skin was strange and alien. I took a step away. Its breath stunk of rotten meat. The monsters ambushed us. Hyrule had been facing this one and was knocked onto his rear when the thing ran the fellow over.
“Smart thinking!” Someone from the sounds of chaos shouted but I couldn't pick out anything else. I couldn't turn away from the monster in front of me. I wouldn't think about the fighting behind you. My allies were lost in the roar of chaos and I had no clue who the nearest one was besides Hyrule. For all I knew there was a monster charging at my back.
I summoned another icicle aiming right between the monster's beady little eyes. The icicle hit its throat. The creature backpedalled, reaching for its bleeding neck, and dropped its spear. Hyrule’s sword went through the creature's spine with a sickening crunch. He pulled his sword out and the monster dropped. A second later it turned to dust. Nothing remained except for the weapon.
I turned around. There were still a few left fighting in the clearing below. Time was taking care of one with some help from Wind, Warrior and Sky were dancing around another, and Legend had one fire while he was finishing it up with his sword. Hyrule ran up behind me and placed a hand on my shoulder.
“Did it get you?” I turned to look at Hyrule. I reassured him I was fine. The first time we were ambushed I had been caught by a spear in my shoulder. It wasn't serious but everyone in the group was beside themselves for letting it happen. Hyruel was the first to run over and used his magic to heal me. He was amazing with his gift. Weaving together bones and healing tissue like it was second nature.
We had been travelling together for a few days. I had been trapped in this world for over a week. All I knew was that nothing made sense. Everything was different from what I was used to. Not everything was dangerous but you had to be careful here. It was hard to focus with all the stories the group had been telling. Might, magic, treasure, and a rich history. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't bump into them on the road that day.
We were just in the middle of a conversation about a dungeon Legend had been when the ambush hit. My magic let me handle myself in a fight. Hitting targets and making shields was easy for me, but the others were different. The deck was stacked against me. My travelling companions were well hardened adventurers and I got tired after an hour of walking. I wasn't even sure what it was we had fought.
“That should be the last of ‘em.” Warrior called out loud so everyone could hear. No one called out afterwards to warn us of others. No more sounds of swords and shields. It was all over so quickly.
“That’s the third time today. We’ve got to be close to whatever they are guarding.” Time wiped blood off of his blade, the droplets as dark as night.
Everything here was different. You had to be quick on your feet. Everyone here relied on their instincts. I was good, but the group was better. After travelling for days I was more than thankful for their help. Their camp felt like the safest place I could be. Aside from these boys there wasn't anyone else on my mind who I'd rather be travelling with.
I had tried to do little things around camp to make taking me in easier. Cleaning the dishes, helping Wild cook, and in general trying my best to not get in the way. I didn't know much about their quest or their reputation. Time had stressed they were hunting a monster and had to do anything they could to get rid of it.  He had given me the impression they were all skilled enough to do it, and to give anxiety to anyone who went against them in a fight.
Today was different. It felt like everything in this world was set to target us. We were close to something. Why else try so hard to slow us down? Taking a break wasn't an option. We had to press on. If we were quick we might be able to figure out what all the fuss was about. I wanted to see The Shadow they all talked so much about.
“You're good in a fight.” Hyrule said. He was checking himself over for anything that got knocked loose in the fight.
“Thank you! I feel like I'm getting better.” His compliment made me blush. Hyrule was the only champion here who was naturally gifted with magic. We had that in common. Made it easy to talk with him since we both had some form of elemental connection. His lighting and my ice made for a good pair.
“Should we take a rest?” I heard Four talking on the other side of the clearing. “We could send someone back to fetch you if anything happens.” I looked over. He was standing by Time and Sky while Warrior was trading flame rods with Legend.
“No. I don't want anyone to fall behind. What if they send someone to catch us and attack the smaller part?” Time looked over to me and Hyrule. They were talking about us. Leaving me and anyone else behind so they rest could rush ahead while we stayed behind. I hated it when Time treated me like I was clueless.
His way of acting always caught me off guard. Yesterday while I was telling a story about my world he kept stopping me to ask me questions.  He was asking me to talk more about myself and my life form before I fell through to Hyrule. Like if I was married, what I ate back home, and what I thought of my life there. He acted like I couldn't tell what he was asking for.
Then there were times like today. Where he was going over my head to stare at the man behind me. Time was trying to ask Hyrule what my condition was. Was I injured? Could I go on? He wouldn't take my word for how I was handling things- no. He wanted the perspective from one of the team members. I hated it, but I understood why.
Didn't mean I enjoyed his treatment, just that I understood why. He didn't want the newbie to try and appear tougher than they were. I couldn't be allowed to push myself too far just to stick with the rest of the group. Legend first brought up this concern to me. He had repeated it a few times after. For some reason they all were convinced I didn't know my own limits. As if I were some fragile glass slipper in their mind but not my own.
“The moblin jumped out and attacked us both but it didn't land a hit. We're fine.” Hyrule assured everyone we, but mostly I, was ok.
“Looked like you took quite a fall. Glad y/n could help you out.” Warrior, bless his heart, had been helping train me. He was vocal about how I could fight only if I proved myself. I didn't know what that meant but said ok. During our first sparring match I froze his foot to stone; and left him there. It counted as a win. He couldn't do anything and I was free to move away or attack.
“I’m fine. Neither of us are injured and I can still walk.” I looked over to Hyrule and he agreed. He went down but the spear never touched him. I took control of the situation and the beast went to attack me but was slain before it could. It could have been worse.
“We’ll continue together. If something happens a few of us will stay to rest.” Time’s order was final. We began marching again.
“Splitting up the group isn't a good idea, you said that yourself. I'm not injured and you might need the help.” I knew my comment would be heard but not listened to. Time could be so pig headed sometimes. He had his own view of honour and how to keep others safe. You disregarded his ideas and he knew this. Didn’t change what he did or what he saw in me. He meant to keep me safe even if I found it counterintuitive to the point of harm. Sometimes it grew on me but other times it was so infuriating to deal with. I wasn't incapable of defending myself.
“We can’t rest if we're too worried about you.” Sky said. He could see how tense Time was. He took the brunt of your suggestions. The rest of the group would tell you the same thing but you listened to Time more. He was the leader and he controlled the group when they got too far ahead of themselves. He would put his foot down for you in place of the others so you would listen to the group's suggestions.
“I don't think we'll be stopping. It's past midday. If one group stops and we have to circle back it will be sundown. No use in shooting ourselves in the foot if we can catch the shadow while the suns still up.” Time doubled down. He didn't say we wouldn't be stopping, just that if we did it would have to be for the rest of the night. Depending on how the rest of the day went, such as more ambushes, we might have to stay back and set up camp.
“We’ll have to stop at some point for dinner and rest.” Legend spoke. I was up front with Time. I turned around to look at Legend and the rest behind us. Wind was eating something that looked like a plant and Wild was fiddling with his sheikah slate.
“Darling here just doesn't want to slow us down.” Twilight said. He was up front with Warrior. I slowed down to where Sky was in the middle of the group. Wind, Wild, Four, Legend, and Hyrule were in the rear.
The main fighting force was behind us. Most of the ambushes had taken place when we were almost all the way past them. They'd jump out of the forest and try to trap us from all sides. The strongest fighters would stay up front to push forward while the rest made sure no one closed in on anyone's backs. My spot was in the middle. Where anyone from any side could jump in and protect me.
Everyone here had told me in one way or another that they only wanted what was best for me. We hadn't been together for long enough for me to agree with them. They hardly knew me, how could they tell me what was best for my life? That and how touchy they could be put me on edge from time to time. I figured Hylians were naturally close people. I was treated as a close friend even though we didn't know each other for long.
I had no plan on leaving. No other group felt quite as safe and I had grown fond of them. Several of the party members had made it clear they felt the same way. Not to mention I had promised Wind there would be no plans of running away in the middle of the night. If I had to leave I would do so with warning.
I doubted I would feel like leaving anytime soon. The future was unclear but I was invested in these boys. Both their lives and in the mystery around the shadow. I couldn’t leave them on their own. I knew they felt the same way about me. We have been trading stories a lot lately. I would say something about my life and they would say something of their own. Talking with them like that made me feel at home.
I couldn't leave without saying goodbye and giving my thanks first. I didn't even have the time to properly thank them for everything they've done for me. I knew they all would object to any gifts I spent money on- especially Time. He prided himself on buying everything I needed when we were in town. So that meant I had to do so in private. Time by myself was hard to come by. I couldn't manage to slip away even if I tried. If I wanted to get them any presents I would have to do so carefully.

I'm not by any means well versed in US law, but I do know that in the United States that posting information online can actively mess with court cases, and you are highly advised to not post ANYTHING until the case is dealt with, meaning that I do find it likely that Quackity not saying anything might genuinely be for the sake of properly dealing with things legally, because anything you say can and will be used in court, especially if there's evidence of it online. Hell even if the evidence is in your favor it can screw you over in court, it's a very weird system.
Yeah, I live in America and I’m pretty aware of how our system functions. I just don’t know the technicalities of specific laws or workers rights.
For those who don’t know, the court actually rules mostly based off of storytelling here. Someone could have hella evidence that they’re guilty, but if there is one or two things off in the story or that can be spun differently, then they could walk away free. If someone is innocent, a good enough story against them or them saying the wrong thing could get them locked up.
The truth is much more mailable and cops actively want you to get yourself in trouble. They try to seem friendly, but speaking to them in a legal setting if they have suspicion of you doing something wrong will always be against your best interest.
As a POC living here my parents have always taught me since I was tiny that you never speak to the police questioning you. That’s just the way our courts work. You be silent and you ask for a lawyer because even if you are innocent, you can still get yourself in trouble.
I can’t help but understand the sentiment/instinct to stay silent when accused of a crime by a legal authority. It requires caution, and when the courts pull records of your communications, you wouldn’t want anyone to spin a story of you manipulating evidence.
I have zero fucking clue how French law functions, but if Quackity is currently tangled in a US embezzlement case then it makes sense that he’s probably limiting the things he’s saying. Saying things internally could fuck him over depending on what he says, and making social media posts while you’re being investigated is probably one of the dumbest things someone could do.
I still feel like saying /anything/ to the admins would’ve been the best play, but at this point yeah I don’t think him saying he’s quite because of legality is bullshit. We simply don’t have enough information to determine that.
Ultimately the people getting the short end of the stick at every turn is still the ex-admins. If Quackity is truly handling the embezzlement issue in court then yes, communications will continue to be limited/nothing. It’s unfortunately exactly what they don’t want.

coming soon! -> the good man's grace • tangerine x fem!reader
Tumblr media
summary: tangerine doesn't make mistakes. until he does. and it all starts on the day he walks into the owl's hollow, a pretty little bookshop tucked away in an alley somewhere in london. his theft, a collection of poetry from one of his favourites, should be the end of it, but something (or someone) draws him back between the cluttered shelves. the shopkeeper, his sweet sparrow, who may not know his name, but knows much more than she's willing to let on.
a/n: i cannot stop thinking about this man and how he'd fall in love with the sweetest heart only to be (pleasantly?) surprised that she's more than meets the eye so this is my latest brain worm that just won't go away. dropping within the next couple of days! (before 2023)
warnings: 18+ only; canon-typical violence and gore; cursing (like, so fucking much of it); fem!reader who is also bi!reader; britishisms written by a canadian with zero clue; bookshop!reader has no racial or body type descriptors, other than being shorter than tangerine (and having smaller hands than his); kidnapping; non-con photos and a threat of a*sault (but no actual a*sault); protective!tangerine; protective!lemon; smut (fingering, unprotected sex, dirty talk, slight dacryphilia, fantasizing about oral sex); angsty!tangerine; semi-graphic descriptions of injury; bird motif; copious amounts of petnames; unnecessary references to bluey because the author loves that show
preview: The more often he visits, the worse it becomes.
Tangerine contemplates burning your shop to the ground, only after checking that you’re not inside, of course. All he’d have to do is toss the fuckin' match and walk away. You’d collect a nice little insurance payout and he’d have no more excuses to see you.
But therein lies the problem. Because as much as it makes no bloody sense, his fucked up brain wants to see you. He wants to see you every day in more places than this cozy little shop you've created and in less clothing than those bloody colourful dresses you're always wearing.
And you?
You think you might be developing a crush on moustache, as you've taken to calling him. Which is stupid because you don’t know anything about him aside from the fact that he’s got a mouth like a sailor and hands that look large enough to wrap around your throat and blue eyes that pierce your very being. And a moustache that reminds you of that seventies porno you'd watched years ago with your college girlfriend, just for shits and giggles. This bloke is the shit romance novels are made of—tall, dark, and handsome—and you’d gladly stock a hundred of them if he were on the cover, even though you like to think your shop is a little more refined than that.
You watch him over the pages of your book as he weaves in and out of the shelves, a few volumes of poetry in his gloved hands, pointer finger tapping a frenetic beat on the hardback covers. He seems less at ease than usual—in fact, he's downright intense. How utterly Byronic of him.
Making up your mind, you set the book down and step out from behind the waist- high counter, floral skirt swishing about your hips.
“Is everything alright?”
He blinks at you with those cerulean eyes that sit like sapphires upon his face, framed by fine lines of crow's feet. And then, before he can reply, you bite your lip and try a smile.
“Can I make you a cuppa?”

HELLO♡♡ can I pls request a platonic hawks x teen! reader who's been being more distant lately? Like they've just been avoiding him bc she has a crush on him (she developed one bc he's so nice to her). She knows it's unprofessional, and that's why shes avoiding him. Soon enough, the crush wears off and she starts having out w him again.
Sorry if this is kinda random, HAVE A GOOD DAY POOKIE♡♡
Where were you? - Hawks
Tumblr media
A/N: Hi!! Thank you so much for requesting! Sorry it took so long, but I hope you enjoy it! I’m writing this while I’m sick so if it doesn’t make sense it’s because my head is killing me 😭 also, HAVE A GOOD DAY/NIGHT AS WELL!!!!
“Get me (hero name),” Hawks commanded as he walked through his agency. “I need only the best for this case and I want her on it.”
“(hero name) is currently on Fatgum’s case,” Tokoyami replied, running to catch up with the pro. “She’s unavailable for the time being.” They two men entered Hawks’ office. They were alone now.
“Where has she been?” Hawks asked, taking a seat at his desk. “I only see her about twice a week now.”
Tokoyami shrugged, taking a seat across from him. “I’m not sure.” He sighed. “I think it may be easier on her schedule right now. And Fatgum’s agency is a lot less stressful.”
“She hasn’t even been coming to the game nights the interns put on here.” Keigo kicked his feet up onto his desk. “She used to always come to those.”
Days passed without a word from you. Any communication between you and Hawks was through Tokoyami. When Hawks would try to text or call you, you’d never answer. You scheduled your patrols around his and avoided the office whenever he was there. To be honest, this kind of hurt Hawks’ feelings. He enjoyed having you around. You were making to be a strong pro-hero and you fought well beside him. So why were you avoiding him?
Keigo was always so nice to you. Maybe that was why you were avoiding him. Maybe he was coming off as flirtatious, or maybe he was scaring you. Hawks really didn’t have a clue.
“Come onnn, Y/N!!” Mina droned late one night, sprawled out across your bed beside you. She rolled onto her side to look at you with a wide smile. “Why aren’t you working for Hawks much anymore? Tell meee!”
You giggled, then sighed, looking at Mina out of the corner of your eye. “You can’t tell anyone I told you this.”
Mina pushed herself up to rest on her elbows. “I swear!”
You rubbed the back of your neck nervously. “I…” you started. “I kinda have a crush on Hawks.” Mina squealed loudly and you hit her with one of your many pillows as a way to make her be quiet.
“Doesn’t that mean you should be around him more?” she giggled. “It doesn’t make sense that you’re avoiding him.”
“Because it’s unprofessional,” you confessed. “We’re third years and he’s one of my mentors.” You cleared your throat. “Hopefully staying away from him for a while will diminish whatever feelings I have for him.”
And you were right. After working for Fatgum for two weeks and taking a break from Hawks and his agency, your crush was pretty much nonexistent. You were able to hang out with him and Tokoyami with zero romantic feelings for the hero. One night, while it was just the two of you on patrol, Keigo slung an arm around your shoulders and pulled you into his side.
“I missed you birdie,” he said with a smile.
“I missed you too, Hawks.” He didn’t need to know about yours and Mina’s secret :)

so, so much of gallowglass's immortality has been spent in solitude. he's like a buoy floating at the outskirts of ocean de clermont. first, his small little family is disowed for the scion hugh attempted. for, what? pride? ego? a father's ache at letting his son go? whatever it was, it was, ultimately, the first fracture that put distance between gallow and the family proper.
we don't see any real interaction between gallowglass and the family except for matthew, who does not read ( to me ) as someone who treats gallowglass like family. gallowglass is a walking weapon and a walking shield to be sent on tasks for political or physical gain. he stood vigil, sent messages, and took up space. it would very much make sense to me if that was something phillipe did and set the tone for matthew to do the same. although, as it was pointed out to me, phillipe also ends up giving gallowglass a lot more grace than anyone else in the family is allowed.
because of the guilt.
is that how matthew intended to come across? no clue. he is not in my brain and i will not try to assume what's in that complex mind of his. but, that's certainly how it looks as they all travel across europe. well, the parts of europe that don't include france.
but, then you have this impossible task placed upon gallow. a secret task that no one else can know about so that the events of history don't affect the future that needs to come to pass. and, i think this is where he, even more affectively, puts a giant distance between himself and the rest of the de clermonts. he alone knows what he's supposed to do, especially after phillipe's death. he alone knows what he waits for and what puzzle pieces need to be placed.
not to say that he would turn anyone down if they ask him to perform a task. especially baldwin. gallowglass might joke about baldwin being a grump but there is zero question in his mind about whether or not the eldest surviving son is doing his best for the family.
all the while, poor gallowglass is falling deeper and deeper in love with an ideal. someone powerful and someone who saw through his position of servitude. someone who refused to bow in this world of carefully placed chess pieces.
he fell in love with a wish.
and i also think that was why he alone was tasked with waiting for her. did phillipe bank on his love? perhaps. did phillipe bank on that emotion festering until diana was just as much goddess for gallowglass as she'd been for phillipe? probably. i think gallowglass puts that together in book of night and it's the reason he walks away from the family again.

Hi! Do you think Sarah will be starting a new series after she wraps up CC? Since it was mentioned (I think in ACOSF) that there may be 25 alternate worlds and we only know of 3. I feel like I’m one of the few who’s actually excited about the crossover, haha.
But I really hope she’ll release ACOTAR 5 and 6 back to back.
After CC, I think SJM will pick back up with the ACOTAR series, releasing 5/6 back to back and this is why:
We know she's currently working on the next ACOTAR book but SJM has never made a formal announcement on IG or her website and there has not been a formal announcement made by Bloomsbury claiming that in order for us to understand the next ACOTAR book, you should begin reading the CC series.
She mentioned reading ACOTAR before CC3 as an offhand comment in a paid interview but it came across as more of a "why wouldn't you want to read acotar now that you met those characters in CC, I think you should!?" rather than a "you definitely need to read the ACOTAR series to understand. The release of CC3 is months away. Had reading ACOTAR truly been a requirement, she wouldn't have left people three months to finish 4.5 books before purchasing the next CC.
There's many of us in the fandom. However, there are just as many people who simply browse their E-Reader book selections or walk through a bookstore and pick up books that way. The fandom is large but I'm not sure we make up the majority percentage of her book sales (maybe someone has a way of figuring that out?). Even if we do though, there is still a good number of people who have never looked at SJM's website or the FB fangroups or Twitter / Tumblr / Tik Tok, etc. Some people have no interest in putting in the effort to do anything more than enjoy a book, put it down and move on to the next. They don't go wild like we do for any and all information and really just read books based off their Amazon recommendations or the NY Times Bestseller list.
If we try and forget what we know of the fandom and act like we're an ACOTAR only reader because Urban Fantasy isn't a preferred genre (I know someone personally who hasn't read CC), the crossover doesn't exist in our world. Bryce doesn't exist. Our SJM reading experience ended with SF and we're anxiously awaiting the next ACOTAR book having no clue what she said in an interview that we didn't pay to watch.
For readers like that, can SJM truly pick up the next ACOTAR book after Bryce's arrival? Can it start with the characters talking about what they learned in CC3?
That would make zero sense to anyone who finished Nesta's story wondering what's going on with Tamlin, Koschei, the other queens, Beron, etc. There are definitely crumbs in SF hinting at the possibility of other worlds, the hints that people may have once been trapped in the Stone, but I think it's jumping a bit to much to start off ACOTAR 5 talking about a modern fae female who had entered Prythian through a portal they didn't know existed and swapped history's with, things that occurred off page in a series they never read.
Therefore, if (as we in the fandom know) the crossover will eventually affect future ACOTAR books, SJM has to build up to the events of the crossover within the ACOTAR series itself. Whatever we learn in CC3 has to also be presented as new information for the reader in ACOTAR 5/6. Because again, ACOTAR readers who buy books at bookstores alone are going to be clueless that an outerspace traveler from a different series landed in the NC and clueless as to whatever secrets were revealed in CC.
Reading all the series will create a more complete picture however, it's impossible for that to be a requirement for the next ACOTAR book since it's never been marketed as such. From a publishing standpoint, if SJM has written three different series, the series do still need to stand on their own and any information from a crossover that occurred in series #3 that's important to the future of series #2 will have to be delivered independently in series #2, without having to know what happened in series #3. Starting ACOTAR 5 with the characters having knowledge of Bryce's visit just doesn't work without causing massive confusion to a large portion of readers and it's not cohesive to where things ended in SF.
To smoothly integrate everything I imagine she'll start the next one, picking up shortly after the events of SF and use the next two books to buildup to what happened in the crossover and possibly the events that follow after, leading in to whatever connected plot the two share.
After that, I do think SJM will be writing another CC book (since she signed that new 4 book deal) dealing with House of Many Waters as well as another ACOTAR book(s) where she builds to a major battle in Prythian that involves characters from Midgard (and possible TOG) entering portals and joining together to fight the remaining Asteri.
I'm not sure I see her starting a new series yet, I think there are too many stories she's still looking to tell with the characters from her current ones.

Chris has a lot better dodger pics than this one. But why this ? Because he wants the fandom to speculate the shoes ? And why didn’t he post with AB since they are official ? And why cropped the pic? Seems like he doesn’t want to be in the same pic with her nor her friends because the internet is forever that is why he chose to post this. This is somehow PR.
I mean, it's definitely PR.
We have two options:
1. He didn't realize there was a leg in the picture. He isn't really that sign-giving, trolling type; however, if his team is truly behind everything right now, it's not that far-fetched to think they wanted to achieve something with this. But if this was actually him (or even if it was his team) posting, I don't think the caption was anything more than a caption. He or they were talking about Dodger's paw, that's all.
2. They knew what they were doing. I think most of us think that right now he isn't in charge of his social media. That doesn't mean it's not him who likes other people's posts or that he is never active there, but I think most things are done by his team. It seems pretty impossible to me that his team wouldn't take a proper look at things, especially after the failure of this PR shitshow, and that they know people overanalyze every little thing. If it was intentional, it was definitely for PR reasons. I think posting a picture like this, which would give away a clue, is way easier than doing a full pap walk. It's not that bad, and he didn't need to be around her or them.
But I don't know. Maybe it was just a picture of Dodger and nothing more. It's really hard to tell after everything.
The whole "he doesn't give a shit about them being the way they are" or that "he just doesn't care what people think" makes zero sense to me. Maybe I would understand it if he'd ever posted a picture or story with Alba, Justin, or anybody from their gang. The closest we got to this was when he posted that really bad scare video compilation, and it was only up for 24 hours; he didn't even post it as an actual post.
We almost know nothing about this whole trip. We knew they were, so the fact that he might have spent some time inside the house makes no difference. It's nothing new; it's nothing we didn't know about.
I'm not trying to babysit him. He and his team made such a big mistake, and even if they wanted a way out, unfortunately, it's not going to be that easy. But something I can say for sure is that I think they are always trying to find a loophole to do the least they can, so Chris doesn't need to be actually seen with them. I think this whole thing could've been way worse, even from the very beginning. I also want him to be done with these people, and let's be honest, it doesn't seem he really enjoys being around them or being associated with them. If he does, why doesn't he post more pictures? Why did he send them home on a commercial flight? Why weren't they in Tara's group photo? Why didn't Alba stay to be with him? Why does his team remove her tags or most comments that are about her?
I also want this to be over, but if he truly signed a contract (which I do believe he did), it's not that easy. Even if he realized he was stupid and made a big and dumb mistake, he can't say it's over. Maybe next time he won't get into things like this.

Just finished my G-Witch marathon ahead of the finale, and some thoughts:
- I still think the 1st season was incredibly solid and a necessary set-up to make the events of season 2 hit as hard as they did. I wish Miorine had been a little less abrasive to Suletta as the episodes went on, and there was definitely some waste here and there, but ultimately it was probably planned to end on the slap so there isn't much helping it.
- The pacing for S2 feels a lot better when watched in one day. Things are happening fast, but it doesn't really feel like you're missing anything important until around episode 21/22. The slow build-up of the SAL and their goals was a lot more obvious to me with hindsight and being able to see the little clues in each episode one after another.
- My opinion on the unfortunate waste of time or poor focus on characters hasn't changed, however. Episode 15's time with the DoF was a complete waste and that time could've been spent better elsewhere. Lauda vs. Guel should have been earlier and a better job needed spent explaining why Lauda blames everything on Miorine. They skipped scenes like Suletta explaining Ericht to Miorine, the full interaction between Suletta and Miorine before she boarded the Calibarn, and even the talk between Chuchu and Nika. Instead we got scenes like the Martin and Nika talking and the silly fencing duel.
What we got was still really good, but it does leave a lot of what-ifs on my mind heading into the finale. Episode 15 and the SAL build-up into being the last minute final villains makes a lot of sense if they've already got plans for a 3rd season. But if they don't, then all that time would've been better spent fully focusing on the Mercury and Rembran storylines with Quiet Zero, and making that the focus of the finale instead of the mostly background SAL and wasting almost a whole episode on a group and person we probably won't see.
Still, I can look past most of these problems because the core of what I love about G-Witch has been so good (Suletta, Miorine, Prospera and Eri's stories), and if ths finale can deliver a satisfying conclusion to those storylines, I think I'll walk away happy, regardless of another season or not.

PLEASE infodump about bhwf, worldbuilding specific hmm... i thought the faunus religious stuff you added was really cool!!! so maybe more about your faunus/faunus culture hcs? anything you wanna elaborate on is fine tho lemme hear it 👀
OOOH I GOTCHU!
Around a specific time of year, many will hang “an adorned plank” on their doors, with it believed to keep Grimm away.
Many accommodations are made around Menagerie for Aquatic Faunus who cannot walk on land. As an example, a particular popular restaurant on the island has a system in which a path cut out of the flooring allows those to swim inside and be served as well. This is done via the building itself being built on an elevated portion of a more beachy area. (That makes zero fucking sense but one day I’ll just. Draw that)
It is tradition for Faunus born on Menagerie to inherit heirlooms from their parents when and if they leave the island, as a way to remember them. This can include clothing, silverware, furniture, even meal recipes or pictures. Basic practice but… special to me :3
A particular subgroup of ocean-dwelling Faunus without legs just… outright don’t wear any clothing. This allows them to swim in the waters faster, many say.
A majority of White Fang activity consists on Menagerie, due to their first priority being the assistance of their own people. Many will be seen assisting shopkeepers, reading to groups of children, tending to the sick or injured, or any small task like that.
Fishing is, interestingly enough, another staple of their culture. Many Faunus of all kinds will build huts on rafts that float out a small ways into the ocean to just… fish. These huts will always be tied or anchored down to something so they don’t drift too far out into the sea, however.
Speaking of fish and other creatures, there’s quite a diversity of them. One large fish is said to have two mouths for small or large prey, and a particular crab forms a bond with a particular jellyfish, in which the crab, unable to be stung, uses the jellyfish as a shield by holding its body over its own tiny one, and both the crab and jellyfish get to eat whatever they find along the way.
Another tradition, held by Faunus with wings, is that they eventually get them either painted or pierced as they grow older, to show change.
and ending off freaky, A rare Grimm far out in the Menagerie desert has been recorded to wear the head of whomever it kills as it’s own. (headless horseman allusion heee hee hee hee). Another particular Grimm has been recorded to be so small it’s mistaken for a measly rock, but when stepped on, it attacks with a near lethal venom.
No Clue if much of this makes sense, as a lot I’m still brainstorming and planning out lol. But thank you for the ask!

TWD 11.17 and 18
These are going to be brutally honest thoughts. I haven't done one of these in a while, and I haven't seen any generally good thoughts about these two episodes so here we go!
DID ANYONE NOTICE THEY ADDED TO THE TITLE CARDS AND THE THEME?
I don't have the slightest clue what happened at the beginning of Episode 17 but I am 100% here for Sleezy Hornsby getting shot by Daryl
Also, speaking of Sleezy -- His actor is A List, he's done a phenomenal job!
For any of you who keep repeatedly saying that Negan doesn't deserve a redemption arc... very kindly? You're wrong. He's had it, it was executed well, and I'm glad he's gotten a decent arc from Season 9 and 10 (I need to rewatch S11 in entirety before I can say it for this season too)
MERCER *insert drooling emoji here*
I kid you not I went "MOM" as soon as carol appeared on screen
AUNT CAROL?????? *CRIES*
Judith is so big it makes me want to die
I love that little character detail about Carol where she's always thinking three steps ahead of the antagonist for that particular season. It really speaks to her life experience how she's always prepared.
YA'LL COME AFTER JUDITH AND RJ AND YOU WILL BE CATCHING THESE HANDS
JDM is so good at the comedic aspect of Negan
I remember years ago that I desperately wanted to see JDM and MMB on screen together because of the dynamic between Carol and Negan -- and how drastically different they are from one another. THIS ONE DOESN'T DISAPPOINT EITHER
Episode 17 definitely gives me the vibes of if Woodbury had gone wrong, how would it have happened?
there's alot of nice callbacks to previous seasons/characters in this episode, which is really nice. I hope the series finale has this same kind of nostalgia.
also. Melissa? blue. her color. I will now associate every shade of blue with Melissa McBride, no questions asked.
I really, really hope Sebastian gets the crap kicked out of him by everyone
I love the candle light vigil and what it means because it makes sense. All these people find out that the Governor's son is responsible for the deaths of multiple civilians from the community, and they're enraged. They're furious and want blood and I don't blame them.
here's the really ironic part of this episode: it once again showed us that not even a community of 50k is safe inside of these walls because the walkers can still get through
AH, TEAR GAS AT A PEACEFUL EVENT. WONDER WHY THAT'S FAMILIAR?
oh lord all the Caryl scenes are in episode 18 I guess I'm staying up to watch both
This got a solid 7/10 and would've been lower if Judith and Carol weren't in it LOL
Episode 18
WHAT LITTLE GIRL IS DOING THESE VOICE OVERS????
Also first impressions: I find it hilariously stupid that Daryl is questioning Carol playing both sides when she's clearly done this like a million other times????
DARYL GETS TO ACTUALLY DROP THE F BOMB??? WOW
go off my guy Hornsby absolutely deserved getting stabbed through the hand with your MASSIVE knife
I really have an issue with the regression of Carol and Daryl's relationship. That opinion might get its own post.
"You take happiness wherever you can get it, and don't ever be sorry for it." Carol honey I love you but please take your own advice
I love how the camera pans directly to Daryl and Judith as SOON as she walks away from Lydia after saying this
DARYL!! HOLDING!!! RICKS!! GUN!!!!
catch me crying at the ''here it's yours'' BYE I MISS RICK SO MUCH
I think it's interesting how some of the side characters are beginning to find themselves again at Commonwealth and that molds their decision as to whether or not they'll stay or return to the Safe Zone.
Also for you guys who are vehemently against CZ: This scene isn't romantic and has zero romantic implications. After all that happened in S9, I cannot see a world where they'd make an effort to go through this again.
You can really tell Cailey Fleming has grown up from where we saw her in S9 to now. She's been a PHENOMENAL little Judith.
And speaking of Judith -- she really is the embodiment of everything Rick and Michonne stood for, and if she doesn't appear in his spin off to reunite with her father I WILL RIOT
uncle daryl and his little niece makes me weep
uhm.... okay this wrestling scene is.. uh... extremely corny
OH OKAY STEPHANIE AND EUGENE I SEE YOU
I FREAKING KNEW THE WALKERS WERE GOING TO GET IN WHEN FAKE STEPHANIE AND HER FRIEND KILLED THAT CREW WHY IS THIS SHOW SO PREDICTABLE
okay but highkey mercer might be the most attractive man in the commonwealth
THE WAY I CHEERED WHEN EUGENE THREW THAT WALKER AT SEBASTIAN GO OFF MY DUDE GO OFF
okay but imo his death might be the most gruesome/tragic one we've had in.. quite a while
this one was alot better then 17 because it again proves that not even a civilization of fifty thousand people is safe inside of these fortified walls where they get to pretend like the world didn't end and try to live the way they did before. I enjoyed this one much more thoroughly, but not enough Carol. 8/10!
bonus: why does episode 19 look better then 18 and 17 combined

hearing headcanons for the Batkids
Dick was born and raised in a circus, he was so used to all the noise and racket, it was basically a lullaby. Because of that, Dick's awareness of sounds around him is like, zero to none. He picked up some training with Bruce, so he has defensive hearing during fights, but out of the suit, any and everyone can sneak up on Dick, sounds mean nothing to him. Jason from a young age was used to listening out his dad's angry footsteps, for the whimpers of pain from his mom's room, for the sound of snow crunching outside his hiding place on the street.
Jason is so aware of every single noise around him, categorizing it into good or bad, safe or dangerous. Anytime he hears something he knows as familiar, he will freeze for a second and listen like a puppy with his ear cocked as he places it. Jason definitely uses this to his advantage to get away from trouble very often.
Tim is used to two things, either the complete quiet of a mostly empty Drake Mansion, or the clack of his mother's heels on their marble floors. He doesn't associate either of them as good or bad, but it's all he's used to. He spends a lot of time with his headphones in when he's at home, trying to drown out the screaming silence. When he moves to the Manor, the silence follows him, but this time a comforting one, until one day when Dick bursts through the front door with an obnoxiously loud cheer that echoes in Tim's ears.
Stephanie, once she learns that her dad is Cluemaster, becomes hyperaware of every single thing she can hear. Every sound she can put into context, categorize and file away, could be a clue to save the lives of innocent people. She spends most of her time pressed against the wall with a cup to her ear, trying to figure out what her dad's next big plan is. That's the only sounds she focuses on though, because hearing anything else in her house is too painful to try and place. She can guess what the grunts of pain are, but she doesn't dare get confirmation. In the Manor, she relishes the thick walls that barely allow for sound to pass from room to room.
Damian was raised in the desert, where the sound of wind and sand overtake any other. He can never hear anyone coming, all sound muffled in the sand, so he has to become hypervigilant of his Grandfather sending him 'tests' without notice. The only place where sound truly echoes is the main chamber where his Grandfather holds court. The room is designed specifically so Ra's' voice booms throughout, and the sounds of punishment being doled out ring through the rest of the keep like a warning cry. Silence is truly the safest, but Damian can't even really trust that. When he comes to the Manor, Damian spends a lot of time in open spaces, listening to people walking from room to room at the head of the hallway, Alfred cooking in the kitchen to the symphony of clattering dishes, Ace and Titus barking at each other. It's comforting to hear the sounds of life and know that there is no one hiding in the silence.
Cassandra spent so much of her life hearing everything. Her father honed her other senses to be dialed up, to be tuned into every thing she can process, and it often got to be too much. But if she tried to block any of it out, she would be vulnerable, it was too dangerous to be ignorant. Once she makes it to Gotham, Cass spends a lot of time with music in her ears, knowing that she can be safe even without the added stimulus of constantly tracking every noise around her.

Diabolik Lovers LUNATIC PARADE ;; Normal Ending
Tumblr media
–> This ending is the same across all twelve different routes. You can unlock it by failing to select the right choices in the individual chapters.
ー The scene starts in the treasure room of Bernstein Castle
Yui: ( Even though Count Walter had us dancing to his tune down till very end... )
( I’m truly glad we were able to safely get my heart back. )
( However, I guess this also marks the end of the Parade. Honestly, it makes me a little sad... )
Carla: ...Oi, you.
Yui: ...Y-Yes!
Carla: How long are you going to be standing by the door? Come here.
Yui: But...Are you sure we can just enter the Count’s treasure room without permission?
( After a series of events, the whole group eventually gathered together. )
( But I never thought they’d bring me here... )
( Everyone’s looking around at the treasures of their liking but won’t we get in trouble for doing this? )
Carla: Heh...There is nothing to be worried about. It appears that man is currently absent after all.
Ayato: He played with us this whole damn time.
So he better let us have our fun in the end!
Yui: You too, Ayato-kun...
Ayato: Anyway, Chichinashi. Try this on.
*Rustle rustle*
Yui: Eh!?
( It’s a swimsuit made entirely out of red gemstones...!? )
Kou: Ehー? Where’s the appeal in that? You have zero fashion sense, Ayato-kun!
Ayato: Haah!? Say that again!?
Kou: Personally, I think these pearl earrings would look great on you!
Hey, wouldn’t you agree with me, Carla-kun?
Ayato: Nah, it gotta be this one! I’m sure understand where I’m comin’ from, right?
Carla: ...
*WOOSH*
Ayato & Kou: ーー !?
Yui: ( He used his magic to instantly make the items in their hands disappear...! )
Carla: I do not need some lowlife Vampires asking for my opinion.
ー Carla walks away
Yui: Ah, Carla-san...!
ー Reiji and Ruki run up to them
Ruki: ...It appears that we were just too late. Tsukinami Carla, how could you...!?
Reiji: Kuh...I cannot believe he reduced such historically valuable items to ashes...!
Kou: Eh? Were those that big of a deal?
Ayato: They’re just a bunch of toys, no? I’m sure you could find them in one of the shops downtown.
Reiji: I have no words for your lack of knowledge...
Ruki: Exactly. This treasure room is filled with nothing but high quality goods which are unavailable for purchase...
Yui: ( I had no idea this place was so impressive... )
Kou: Ah! I’ll go look for something even more amazing then!
Like the perfect tiara or necklace for M-neko-chan~!
Ayato: Hehe, what are you saying? She’d obviously look way better in something which shows a little more skin.
ー Ayato and Kou run off again
Ruki: Oi! Stop running rampant!
Reiji: You two! Halt!
ー Reiji and Ruki chase after them
Yui: ( Reiji-san and Ruki-kun seem to be having a hard time. I wonder if they’ll be okay...? )
Kanato: ーー I’ve had enough!! What is place!?
Yui: ーー !?
( Was that Kanato-kun just now? It came from the back... )
( I’ll go check up on him. )
ー Yui walks towards the back of the room
Yuma: Oh, you arrived right on cue.
Shuu: Haah...I guess you’ll have to do. Please take care of this guy.
Yui: Are you talking about Kanato-kun...?
Yuma: Yeah. He’s been completely out of control ever since this vintage candy he wanted oh-so badly got crushed.
Yui: ( Antique...? Would it even still be edible then? )
Kanato: It’s very low of you to get her involved, Yuma...
Yuma: For the millionth time! It’s this fuckin’ NEET over here who ruined it and not me!
Shuu: How many times do I have to tell you I have no clue what you’re talking about...?
Yuma: You crushed it underneath yer weight when rollin’ over in yer sleep! I saw it with my very own eyes!
Shuu: ...I remember no such thing.
Yuma: Aah!? Hold up...!
Kanato: Shut up! I honestly don’t care who is behind it at this point!
Just fix it! Just when...I finally found it...!
Yui: K-Kanato-kun, calm down.
Um...Ah, look! There might still be a second one somewhere.
So let’s all look together, okay?
Shuu: What a pain. If you want to look for it so badly, be my guest I guess?
Yuma: Yeah, sounds good! We’re countin’ on ya!
ー Shuu and Yuma leave.
Yui: Eh? But...
Kanato: ...
Yui: ( Guess I should probably start looking before Kanato-kun bursts out again... )
O-Okay! I’ll get going, okay?
ー Yui walks away in search of the candy
Yui: ( That being said, this place is enormous, where do I even start loo... )
ー She bumps into something
*Thud*
Yui: ーー Uu, owow...
( Uu...I fell down after bumping into something. )
Shin: Hehe, what are you doing?
Azusa: Eve...Are you alright?
Yui: Shin-kun, Azusa-kun...
Laito: Bitch-chan~? I’m here too, see?
Yui: What are you guys up to? It’s strange to see the three of you together.
Laito: Nfu~ Well, we happened to having some ‘fun’ with the coffin you bumped into.
Yui: Eh? This one...?
Azusa: Yeah...Subaru-san is inside...that rare coffin.
Shin: He got all grumpy after we provoked him and retreated inside of there.
So we decided it’d be fun to mess with him a little.
Yui: I-I see...
Laito: Just watch? Look, like this...~
*Thud thud*
Laito: Suーbaーruーkuーn. Comeーoutーwhereverーyouーareー
*Thud thud*
Azusa: Subaru-san...Are you still alive?
*Thud thud*
Yui: ( I-I feel like this’ll only make him less likely to come out... )
Shin: Haah...You guys are lacking vigor. You gotta go all out with this sorta stuff. ...Like thisーー Here!
*THUD*
*Thud*
Subaru: ーー Shut up already!
Azusa: Ah...Subaru-san.
Subaru: ...What is your problem!? All I want is to see how comfortable this coffin is but you jerks keep on gettin’ in my way...
Oh...It’s you. When did you get here...?
Yui: Ah, um...It’s a long story...
Laito: So, what’s your verdict~? How would you rate the coffin’s coziness?
Subaru: The absolute worst, duh.
Yui: R-Right...
Reiji: ...Good grief, what is this ruckus? Can you all not be a little more quiet?
Subaru: Che...What do you want?
Yui: Ah, Reiji-san...And the others as well...
Kanato: I came looking for you because you were taking an awfully long time. What have you been up to?
Shin: Hm? Nii-san, that thing in your hand...
Carla: Ah, this?
Yui: ( What could it be? It’s a tiny, but beautiful box... )
Ruki: It’s said to be a very valuable treasure, but only a woman is capable of opening it.
Ayato: In other words...It’s your time to shine!
Yui: M-Me...?
Yuma: Heeh. Sounds interestin’.
Kou: Right? Come on! Try opening it!
Shuu: Haah...What if it explodes in her face?
Yui: E-Explode...!?
Shin: Hehe...Wouldn’t that be kinda funny as well?
Carla: Oi, woman. How long are you going to keep us waiting?
Yui: ...Okay! Well then, I’ll open it...
*Clunk*
Tumblr media
*Twinkle twinkle*
Yui: ーー This is...
( Little sparkles of light have filled the entire room...!? )
Shin: Ah, it didn’t explode.
Subaru: ...No way he’d have somethin’ so dangerous layin’ ‘round, right?
Azusa: It’s very pretty, don’t you think...?
Reiji: Yes. I assume that the Parade has moved onto the final act as well.
Ruki: If I recall correctly, it’s a custom to send lanterns off into the sky.
Kanato: Heeh...I’m sure that’d make for quite a nice scenery as well...
Kou: Yeah, yeah! I’m sure it must be pretty...
Yuma: But ya know...I like this sight quite a bit too.
Shuu: Agreed. I suppose this isn’t bad every once in a while.
Carla: For once, I share your opinion.
Ayato: Nice goin’, Chichinashi!
Yui: Yeah...Thanks!
( In the end, we never made it back to the Parade’s venue but... )
( I guess spending the finale together like this isn’t half bad either. )
ーー THE END ーー
