Batfamily Fic Idea #15

Duke Thomas is stressed out beyond belief. For weeks now he's been gearing himself up to ask a classmate of his out on a date, and he can't see a better opportunity than at the school's Summer Ball.

But now it's only two days away and he still hasn't worked up the courage to even invite them! He doesn't know what to do and has decided to confide into his siblings about his problem.

Or he would have if they weren't the freaking Batfamily and had already become aware of his problem, and then proceeded to force him into a "Family Emergency Meeting" (Dick's idea) where they all work together to solve "Duke's First Date Crisis!"

Important Points to Include:

- Every sibling gets involved! Though each one has very different feelings on the situation.

- Alfred comes in at the last minute to actually help.

Fun Points you could Include:

- Half-baked schemes.

- Ridiculous plans.

- Duke slowly just becoming more and more stressed, as well as more and more defeated with each attempt of help from his siblings.

- A reaction from Duke's Crush whether positive or negative could be quite amusing.

Batfamily Fic Idea #14 - We Gonna Talk About the Bomb in the Room?

Due to a miscalculation in planning (Claims Jason) and a failure to remain covert during the mission (Claims Tim), Jason and Tim slowly wake up to find themselves weaponless, gadgetless and tied up to an explosion device set to detonate in little under 10 minutes.

With no way to bust out, Oracle informs them that help will be there shortly - not short enough for Jason though.

So while Tim tries to plan ahead for the next stage of the plan, Jason thinks it would be fun to see how many ways he can press the Bird's buttons.

Important Points to Include:

- Jason and Tim are not able to escape until the rescue crew shows up.

- Jason and Tim's conversation goes up and down as well as traversing many different topic areas.

Fun Points you could Include:

- Maybe they forget that they're on coms the whole time and when the other show up they reveal that they heard everything.

- Jason busting out a different nickname for Tim every new sentence/topic change.

- Make it comedic, fun and maybe a bit of heart to heart.

Batfamily Fic Idea #13 - Get Your Game On

(This blog is basically a dumping ground of fic ideas from me that I’ve been thinking about for a while, dreamt, ridiculously planned out like a conspiracy theorist or came to me as a sudden random thought - that I would really love to see as a fic story but honestly I hate my writing style waaaaaaay too much to be able to do it myself!

So I offer them up to you wonderful people and if you like the idea you have full permission to write it! There are only three rules that you have to follow if you do take up an idea;

Dick Grayson is concerned about the health of his brothers; Jason is still at odds with everyone and sneaks away whenever the mission is over, Damian still didn't know how to have fun like child he was, and Tim was one cup of coffee and stressful incident away from a shaking mess.

They needed something to do together. Something fun... The perfect idea struck him one night on a patrol gone bust when he saw the glowing neon sign of a local Arcade.

It was perfect! There would be a game for all of them in there and they could all have a great time. He immediately went back and began bargaining, pleading and begging (No he didn't cry shut up Jason) to get them all to spend tomorrow at the Arcade.

It took a lot... But Dick beamed in delight as the next day he walked into the Arcade with a ton of change in pocket with his brothers at his side.

Though it wasn't without reluctance at first, Jason was grumbling, Tim had his eyes on his phone and Damian just had a permanent frown on his face. But Dick knew the right games to grab their attention in no time - tapping into all their competitive sides didn't hurt either.

It didn't take long until all of them were smiling and challenging each other at practically every game in the Arcade - yes all of them.

The tickets they earned went to a number of silly prizes and ultimately Dick could not be happier to see his brothers having fun together even if it's just for a day.

Important Points to Include:

- The boys do have a fantastic time!

- They do try nearly every game in the Arcade, even the silly ones.

Fun Points you could Include:

- Seeing Damian take on Dick at Dance Dance Revolution like in the DC animated film Justice League Vs The Teen Titans.

- Jason dominating it on every Shoot em up game.

- Tim immediately figuring out the crane games and wins a toy on every single one - but he refuses to tell them his secret, his only response is "Isn't it obvious?"

- Very competitive BatBoys!

Batfamily Fic Idea #12 - Too Much

Ok so I have just had the worst 24 hours going; to start with at work I got burned by fry oil accidents 3 times (I now have a lovely welt on my hand), jabbed in the ribs by a tray, and just everything that went wrong on prep did. Nearly burst into tears but pulled it together and got through it - only to have a utterly terrible sleep and woke up thinking maybe I can get through work today ok, but I just broke-down on the way in and couldn’t go in there. Pretty bad right? I imagine many of you believe I’m overreacting and believe me - that thought always comes into my head whenever I break but when you do break there is just too much going on to process it all.

One saving grace through it all was talking to @batgirlspain they helped me take my mind off of my problems :)

So I’m feeling pretty pathetic, retched and just awful... And this idea came forth from my own issues that I feel relate to Tim quite a bit. So no rules for this one, just please if anyone can write even a short story of them helping him - it will help me too. Please.

Tim Drake has always been a fantastic strategist given his ability to analysis and predict each and every scenario that a situation could lead to.

But this type of mind is a double-edged sword. Leading Tim to often over think every aspect of his life - from people and relationships to just daily activities.

Often, it's just too much to bare. Having this persistent voice inside your head breaking down and creating imaginary scenarios for every aspect of your life - making you question everything around you to the point of overload.

Couple that with just one too many things going wrong, and poor Tim finds himself in the throes of a horrible anxiety attack. Not willing to let his family see him like this runs away to his room and hides in his wardrobe, just as it takes over him. For the longest time, Tim doesn't think it's ever going to stop.

Luckily for him, his family can't be stopped by a simple door and they won't let their brother suffer through this alone.

After spending such a great deal of time with his Father, brothers and sisters - Damian can confidently say he holds a significant level of affection for his family, and will do anything to protect them.

This "mis-guided" sense of protectiveness convinces Damian that it is his duty to evaluate and investigate each and every person that that his family members choose to become romantically involved in. To ensure that they are the best possible match for them.

To his credit, he is able to quickly rid his Father, brothers and sisters of a number of despicable characters.

Eventually, the Batfamily figure out what Damian has been doing (Honestly they are a bit ashamed of how long it took them) and they all have mixed responses to the whole ordeal but no one can deny that they are touched by Damian's attempt at familial affection.

Important Points to Include:

- These people that the various Batfamily members are "dating" don't have to be canonical romantic interests, heck make some up if you want if it adds to the fun. They don't even have to be dating the individual! Just close enough that Damian would make a leap in judgement.

- It doesn't have to involve every family member but a minimum of 3 at least.

- Make the reader laugh their arse off! Give us notes of Damian's evaluations, the confrontations and threatening warnings to the significant others. Maybe even inappropriate forms advice (Though Damian probably wouldn't see it as inappropriate).

Fun Points you could Include:

- It would be hilarious to see the most unlikely member of the Batfamily actually approve of Damian's actions and praise him.

- Damian getting advice or ideas from really silly internet sites sounds like comedy gold!

- Just those reactions... I ask that you make them funniest in all the freaking world XD

Dick Grayson is sick of his old apartment and decides to go apartment hunting - he thought that inviting his family along might be a good bonding experience for them all.

The only thing he forgot to account for was that this was his FAMILY. All of whom have very strong opinions on every apartment Dick goes to check out.

By the end, Dick almost considers moving back into the Manor if it will stop their complaints.

- Dick starting out excited and slowly just becoming more and more worn out as it goes on.

- Each family member that tags along have very specific complaints about each apartment.

- They all think that their complaints are completely valid and in Dick's best interests.

Batfamily Fic Idea #9 - Two Souls One Body

After a freak mystical accident following a run in with Klarion the Witch Boy, Tim and Damian are shocked to see Dick and Jason vanish before their eyes.

However, they are even more shocked to discover that Jason is now sharing Tim's body and Dick is sharing Damian's body.

Immediately they try to contact Zatana to find a solution to this bizarre problem. Unfortunately, the spell to undo the spell is rather complicated and Zatana informs them that it will take her a few days to learn it fully.

Which leaves Tim and Damian in the nightmarish situation of making it through the next through days  of their lives with Jason and Dick in their bodies.

Naturally, chaos ensues!

Important Points to Include:

- The boys have to go through at least 2 or 3 days of inhabiting the same body.

- I need to see Jason going full mother hen mode - hijacking Tim's body to go get food and drink when he refuses to do so. "No Tim. I refuse to let this body ingest anymore coffee or junk food while I'm in it!"

- The boys decide not to tell anyone else about their "problem" so interacting with others are quite amusing!

- Dick and Jason can't resist hijacking their hosts body at various times.

Fun Points you could Include:

- JASON MOTHER HENNING TIM PLEASE!

- Dick just getting way to into "helping" Damian at school, even by hijacking his body. The personality shift freaks out a lot of the school - particularly Jon Kent.

- Just make it the funniest thing alive guys! You can do so many funny scenarios!

- Brotherly bonding time would nice!

They don't know how they got here from an argument about what music to play in the Batcave...

But never the less... The Batfamily Lip Sync Competition was in full swing!

Nobody cheaped out on their performance - most surprisingly putting an extraordinary amount of effort into it.

There are elaborate sets. Fabulous costumes. Killer dance moves.

Nobody wants to walk away without 1st place.

But the best part of the whole event was how much fun everyone had both watching and performing. There was smiles and laughter all around the Batcave that day!

Important Points to Include:

- Everyone. Must. Compete! No one is excluded!

- No one half-asses their performance number. Everyone goes extremely extra!

- Everyone has a fantastic time! Smiles and joy all around!

Fun Points you could Include:

- Seriously is Dick going to pick any other song than an ABBA number?

- Jason doing the full dance scene from Risky Business would be beautiful!

- Damian's would be such a surprise but a fantastic one!

- Barbara makes sure to film the whole thing and sends it out to everyone in the Superhero community!

Batfamily Fic Idea #7 (Kind of...) - They made us into LEGO?

Ok. So I just got around to watching LEGO DC Batman: Family Matters... And just- OMG!

It is ridiculously entertaining! I can barely catch my breath before I'm letting loose some truly dirty laughter! 😂

The in-jokes are brilliant!

Voice acting is truly top notch for each character. Though I'll admit I found Bruce's off at first (But it was still Troy Baker and he does a great job) and it was a bit odd to hear Scott Menville's voice coming out of Damian instead of Dick - as a fan of the original Teen Titans cartoon series. But they grew on me quickly as the voice actors are thoroughly enjoying and living the spirit of their characters.

The sweet bonding moments for Bruce and Jason as they finally talk out some of their issues. Granted it's downscaled here but still nice to see.

Jason having some seriously luxurious looking LEGO hair! Like WOW I weirdly wanted to run my hair through it XD

But what I seriously cannot get over is...

WHY IS TIM DRAKE NOT IN THE FILM?!?!?! DAFUQ

Seriously!! Why is he only given a name drop at the beginning?! Why couldn't they include him for this Batfamily centred film?!

To the main writer of this film, Jeremy Adams, for a story focusing on "Family Matters" why did it not matter to you to write Tim in as an actually character and not a name drop!

The film would have been absolutely golden if you had let Tim actually appear for once!

Following my little rant though I can't stop thinking about the Batfamily actually all sitting down and watching this film! Their reactions would be freakin' hilarious! 😂

Recently; it came to Damian's attention that the living conditions and treatment of the animals at Gothum Zoo has been truly dreadful. In some cases bordering on abusive to many if the terrified creatures.

The youngest Wayne refuses to stand for it and recruits the rest of the Batfamily (Either through demand, bargains or straight up blackmail) to join him on a midnight mission to "liberate" all the animals from their cruel prisons.

Which brings up the question... What do you do with them once they're free?

Important Points to Include:

- A minimum of at least 3 Batfamily members have to help him.

- One must be recruited through blackmail (As they know full well this is going to be a disaster)

Fun Points you could Include:

- They make the front page news in the morning.

- Bruce and Alfred just wake up to find the Manor swarming with the entire zoo.

- Dick bonding with a baby elephant that really reminds him of Sitka.

- Damian refuses to send away a particularly naughty Panther cub - "We've bonded father. I'm not going to stop hugging her."

- One family member suddenly discovers they are allergic to one particular animal that will not leave them alone.

Batfamily Fic Idea #5 - Operation: Break Out Drake

(This blog is basically a dumping ground of fic ideas from me that I’ve been thinking about for a while, dreamt, ridiculously planned out like a conspiracy theorist or came to me as a sudden random thought - that I would really love to see as a fic story but honestly I hate my writing style waaaaaaay too much to be able to do it myself!

After not seeing Tim leave his room for a week, everyone of the Batfamily come together to try and figure out how to get into his room and get Tim out.

But it turns out that's not as easy as it seems. With each attempt proving worst than the last.

Just when everyone is about to give up - someone suddenly has a stroke of genius and immediately sets off to get Tim leaving everyone else behind.

The rest are shocked to see Tim out on record time - admittedly extremely worse for wear, seriously Tim what the hell - and cannot figure out what the hell that person did to get Tim out.

Important Points to Include:

- Whoever manages to get Tim out, never tells the rest of the family how they did it. Tim too out of it to even tell them. But you can reveal it to the reader if you wish.

- Not that this needs to be said but Tim needs a  solid reason to be locked away and completely out of it for so long.

- Each attempt to get him out must progressively get more and more wacky and ridiculous.

Fun Points you could Include:

- A blatant misuse of tech, weapons and resources for each plan.

- Ridiculous levels of over thinking and ignorance towards common sense.

- The extent to which Tim is just barely functioning as a human being.

So I offer them up to you wonderful people and if you like the idea you have full permission to write it! There are only three rules that you have to follow if you do take up an idea;

So it's World Book Day and an ecstatic Jason was ready kick back for the day and read some of his favourite classics in his favourite safe house.

He had everything set up perfectly. His favourite foods. His favourite drink for reading. Even his favourite reading chair were all ready and set to go. But before he could even read the first sentence, Dick Grayson suddenly dropped in to check in on him.

Annoyed, Jason tries to get Dick to leave only for Tim Drake to find his way in next asking for Jason thoughts on an upcoming drug heist. Before he can even get a word out against Tim, Damian Wayne drops in looking for weapons Jason stole from the Batcave weeks ago.

Frustrated beyond belief at rapidly losing his precious reading time, Jason snaps at all of them and telling them exactly what wonderful day they are interrupting and to kindly get the hell out of his home.

All he gets in response are some blank stares from Dick and Tim, while Damian pointedly insults his choices in reading material.

Utterly offended and horrified, Jason immediately sits them all down and proceeds to educate them on how each book was a masterpiece - in a full on English lesson style, even reading them selective passages from each book.

Important Points to Include:

- Jason is a literature enthusiast, so he must have a library in every safe house he has with multiple copies of every book he owns.

- There's no way Dick, Tim or Damian are allowed to escape Jason's Literature education.

Fun Points you could Include:

- Tim tries to access Cliffnotes to try and get Jason to end this lecture quickly.

- Damian would probably not bend on his opinion at all until Jason busts out a massive break down argument proving otherwise.

- Dick feels completely out of his comfort zone but is so happy Jason is doing something with them that he just let's Jason do his thing.

Batfamily Fic Idea #3 - The Great Dinner Fiasco

(This blog is basically a dumping ground of fic ideas from me that I’ve been thinking about for a while, dreamt, ridiculously planned out like a conspiracy theorist or came to me as a sudden random thought - that I would really love to see as a fic story but honestly I hate my writing style waaaaaaay too much to be able to do it myself!

In an attempt to try and have all of the family together for a nice meal, Alfred invites everyone to the manor under various crafty, elaborate means/explanations.

All seems to going as planned as the members of the Batfamily all turn up and engage in a nice meal together.

That is until it all slowly unravels when one member opens up a line of conversation that causes Alfred's careful planning to fall apart. Thus thrusting the dinner into a disaster of typically Batfamily proportions.

Except no one seems to realise that Alfred is the one behind it all.

Important Points to Include:

- Alfred cannot be exposed as the evil master mind behind this while fiasco no matter what.

Fun Points you could Include:

- Please make one of the reasons one of the member came to the dinner something super silly or ridiculous!

- I think it would be funny if the conversation starts out nice and calm but slowly descends into confusion, shouting, accusations and just complete madness and chaos.

- Descending into a good fight sounds fantastic!

- Some truly wacky insults would be killer.

Batfamily Fic Idea #2 - Spirits of the Elemental

This idea is formed on the basis of a young OC, that struggles with communicating with others as well as trying to find their dream for the future. A surprising answer comes in the form of mysterious, medallion that melds itself into their chest when their elderly, teacher Natalia suddenly presses it into her.

This results in OC being thrust into another world and directly into the lives of the Batfamily - particularly that of Tim Drake-Wayne. If that isn't crazy enough for OC they discover that in the presence of Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake and Damian Wayne, they are able to draw forth powers of the very elements of nature embodied in the spirit of each of the boys.

With these new found powers, in a new world and a budding new family. Maybe OC's future could be too?

Important points to include:

- The medallion cannot be removed from OC's chest by any means - except death.

- OC can only bring forth powers of the elements when next to or touching one of the boys.

- The extent of OC's powers is only matched by  the compatibility or strength of union between the two spirits.

- OC's emotions are influenced by the element and spirit of the one they are drawing power from.

Fun points you could include:

- This idea initially came from a dream of the guys with elemental powers and these were the ones I pictured them with;

              - Dick Grayson - Air

              - Jason Todd - Fire

              - Jason Todd (Pit Rage) - Green Fire

              - Tim Drake - Water

              - Damian Wayne - Earth

- Weirdly I also imagined near Bruce OC's powers become that of Darkness - A pure pitch black darkness. But I also imagined that came from being around Villians so take that as you will.

- If you go with a ship, ship as you like with the guys. My preference would be Tim since he deserves love but they all do in a way. It's ultimately your choice in the end.

- Again, I do ask that you don't go too angsty on this plot but that's only a request from me.

Batfamily Fic Idea #1 - Ink Painted Gateway

It’s early one school morning, as OC tries to get out of a torrential downpour of rain by hiding in a the first shop they could find - a Comic Book Store. While waiting for the storm to pass, OC looks around in curiosity and soon finds their attention draw to a rather strange looking comic. Hardbacked, unmarked and completely blank front and back. Even the pages were pure white, all except for one which read;

“A curious find for a curious mind,

Free the adventurous spirit trapped inside.

Simply let your mind go,

Let ink travel free.

These pages are the portal,

Imagination is the key.”

Feeling their curiosity heightened further by such a crypt message, OC decides to give it a try. They pull out a pen from their bag and open the book to the first page. They ponder for a moment what to write about, when their eyes catch sight of comics from the DC Universe. Their mind is filled with fun, crazy ideas of the Batfamily and their hand seems to move by itself.

Before the OC even realises what is happening the book flashes a blinding light and they suddenly find themselves smack dang in the middle of the Batcave surrounded by the very shocked members of what they thought were a fictional crime-fighting family.

Before OC can stop themselves, given their surprise and excitement at seeing these characters in the flesh, they blurt out their identities and other random pieces of information they know about them.

Naturally, this doesn’t go down too well with most of them. But one of the boys (Take your pick Dick/Jason/Tim/Damien) persuades the others not to attack OC yet and instead keep them here and discover who they are and what they know.

Confined to a cell within the Batcave, OC doesn’t know what to make of this situation they are in. It’s only when one of the Batfamily asks about the book they are clutching that they remember the book. They immediately open it only to face another flash of blinding light and find themselves back in the Comic Book Store. Panicked they drop the book and rush to go outside, except the shop doors are shut and night-time has fallen!

OC is absolutely baffled. What on earth is going on?! They stumble backwards and feel the book brush against their feet, gasping when they realise that the book is the true cause of all of this.

Cautiously they pick up the book, observing it once more before slowly and opening it again. Another bright light encompasses their vision and they are back in the Batcave.

Important points to include:

- The Book is actually a gateway for the individual allowing them to go to the Batverse and back.

- No one but OC is able to use the book.

- While time does not pass in the Batverse, time still moves forward in the Real World making time spent between the two an interesting process.

- OC is only able to bring items that are on their person when they travel into the Batverse (A Bag of items counts as that is technically on their person - but they must be wearing the bag)

- OC is never aware of what they have written until they have returned to the Real World, where their activities in the other world are written out like a novel.

- Eventually the must be a choice between the two worlds.

Fun Points you could include:

- Could include a slow burn ship with one of the boys of your choice.

- Could be a family centric fic. Maybe OC eventually gets adopted by the Batfamily and stays there.

- Could get some funny, silly adventures with the gang. I’d hope it would have some comedic light-hearted elements to it just in case someone wants to take a more angsty angle with it.

- Alfred being best grandpa of all as per usual.

- OC messing with all the Batfamily with the information they have on them and the rest of the DC Verse (Maybe making stuff just to see how much they believe XD)
