//What's going on with me.
I haven't had work since mid-December. I haven't had income since early January when I got paid for that December work. I'm *hand-waggle* OK financially as in I can feed myself and the cat, pay the bills etc, but doing so in digging into my reserves in a way I don't like and will have to make up later.
After bombing out on several prospective jobs I interviewed for one that is almost exactly what I was doing in my last long-term job, same duties, same medical specialty, awesome. But they won't fucking tell me if I have the job or not. I've been in for a trial, but no firm answer.
The short version is that I need to know so I know whether to keep applying for other jobs. Days later I still don't know, and it is doing my fucking head in. The uncertainty just keeps percolating in the back of my mind and is distracting enough that it's hard focus on anything here. (I love all my drafts, I'm just ... ARGH.)
Longer version -
I went in for a couple of days' trial last week to see how it worked, and they were supposed to let me know on Monday. On Monday I get a call saying that they haven't had a chance to talk to [person training me] because someone else has COVID and [trainer] has to be at that branch instead. But can I please come in and cover for [trainer] at the main branch? (They're going to pay me for this but as a contractor rather than an employee.)
So Tuesday I go in for that, and mention to the manager that I need to know, for the reason mentioned above. She says come in tomorrow (Weds) meet the boss (chief clinician and her hubby), and she'll give me some more training on how the different branches work etc. Then she'll confer with boss and let me know Thursday.
I show up Wednesday, she doesn't, because she's unwell. I do meet boss and we seem to get along OK. I finish the work that was waiting and make it a half-day.
Today I get a message, she still hasn't conferred with the boss because she was asleep when he got home last night. Which means that won't happen until he gets home tonight. Maybe. So I still don't know.
It's driving me bananas.

"Are the Robins child soldiers" It depends. If the story is super serious and into exploring complex morality and grounded from reality's standards, then yes. If the story is lighthearted, made for children, fluff, etc., then no. If it's somewhere in the middle, it might depend.
If an author wants to write a story seriously delving into the fucked up-ness of children fighting criminals, they can, and if you don't like it, you can read something else.
If an author wants to write a fun story about villains and heroes featuring Robin in a world where that's not an issue, they can, and if you don't like it, you can read something else.
If an author wants to write a serious story but not apply IRL-logic to Robin, they can, and if you don't like it, you can read something else.
