💎why is writing important to you?

tbh? It makes me happy. Even with how hard it is sometimes, its impossible to imagine myself not writing or ever giving it up. I enjoy it. I appreciate how it lets me say something in a way I might not be able to articulate myself otherwise. I enjoy the way it lets me participate in art and creation and fandom.

Mostly I think it satiates a deep need for connection and community.

🪄what is your post-writing/sharing aftercare? How do you take care of yourself or celebrate yourself when you’ve finished a fic?

okay so this is the second kind of question like this and I'm realizing i dont!

I really just... stress about finishing things and then immediately begin stressing about the next thing I havent finished. (Im like this with all projects haha, writing, crafting, etc)

Also I think i kept switching up all their pronouns cause I wasn’t sure which was the right one? 😅😅

God still so strange to see Brennan all made up, but he looks great

It's so nice to see how the Queens are all so engaged. Brennan is radiating such incredible Storyteller energy right now, it's amazing.

Oh yay, this is fantastic! XD Thanks for letting me know! (a small part of me wishes that the original canon authorship was attributed to a shoe, purely for the humor value, but @beelzeebub absolutely deserves credit for the amazing movie poster.)

As of 1:07 PM PST, the newly canonical (!) AO3 tag has 204 works. And SPN is no longer the only crossover fandom -- by clicking Filter and checking the sidebar, we can now see a number of other fandoms with crossovers or fusions:

(Supernatural still has the most, though!)

Having this makes it much easier for everyone to find and sort/filter these works -- and to do fandom stats, for those of us so inclined. :) Three cheers for the awesome AO3 tag wranglers! 🎉🎉🎉

So I had to talk to a general contractor earlier (someone who manages building construction), and every time this dude mentioned subcontractors, he just called them "subs."

So I'm sitting there trying not to react, as he's all,

"i know so many subs in this area"

"i have built trusting relationships with a lot of subs"

"i can find some subs that will make you happy without charging an arm and a leg"

Thank god I was wearing a mask and he couldn't see most of my face.

It looks like the Border Angels website is giving an error message still. I remember something about that from last time, did they ever get back to you?

Thanks for letting us know! It looks like their site’s security certificates expired yesterday, which means that you can access the site if you tell your browser to ignore that fact, but it wouldn’t be safe to make a donation when their SSL isn’t functioning.

We have contacted them and hopefully they will get their certificates renewed! For now, we’ll keep them on our list, but we’d advise that nobody put them as the only charity they want to support, just in case this site issue isn’t fixed by the time it’s time for donations.

We’ll let you all know if we hear back from them, or if the site gets fixed!

so basically this screams for a fic where a number hits on john, and he’s like, nah. and at first he thinks it’s because romance is for the living and he’s essentially as good as dead, but then he’s like, i actually feel really alive in this job. huh.

this gives him a new appreciation of his job, and how little he wants stuff outside of it, and incidentally how hot harold sounds when he’s giving john instructions in the field.
